the combo of my parents’ dumb open concept house and my littlest nephew being a very bad sleeper and my parents and i being aggressively early risers has resulted in my mom and i being up for hours sitting in the dark unable to so much as use a kettle or flush a toilet without a screaming baby waking up a cranky toddler and. well. let’s just say this is going to be a very pleasant and normal two weeks
#literally zero thought was put into sleeping arrangements#so my room and the bathroom only i use (since we have a main floor bathroom and my parents have an ensuite) are literal disaster messes#bc i’m wildly depressed and have been working ten hours shifts so didn’t have time to adequately clean them#so now it’s like. well we don’t have time for me to clean those spaces out for them bc the majority of the hours of me not being at work the#babies are sleeping#all this bc neither my sister nor my brother in law thought to tell us they would need two guest rooms#which the house notably does not have!!!!#like you’re telling me these folks will sleep until 11:30am and I have to leave for work at 1:15pm??#and in that window I have to shower and eat all my meals for the day bc no meal breaks at terrible job AND like do laundry AND now I have to#try and deep clean two months-long depression messes incl deep cleaning my mattress like???#my sister can’t stay in my room my drugs and sex toys are in there!!!!#anyway it’s seven am and ive been up since 2:30am i. am cranky

#i realised i have the perfect spot for it at the foot of my bed too#bringing life to my room by filling it with shit and being functional at the same time! so epic#there was also a rlly cute one that fits over a door but idk where id put it#could Maybe go in the bathroom but my bathroom is tiny. + the spot i want the other one to go is right by the window for sunlight !!#like rn i lug my laundry down to my parents house to do it there bcos my buildings washing machines need a fucking location-#-enabled app and i am not giving them my fucking geopositioning data just so i can do some washing ???#but also im in second year now so i reckon ill be staying at the dorms over the weekends a lot more#so i will hand-wash things in a big tub i brought my dishes up in + hang them up on this rack. yissss#also gonna start bringing my prescription med bottles with me instead of just my weekly pillbox#so i dont have to go back to my parents house whenever i gotta refill it

Crafting update! I’m still having trouble focusing (today I cleaned the oven and got caught up on dishes) but I am making progress! My grandma’s curtain for the window in her side door is almost done; I got the front of the curtain (equivalent of the quilt top) finished today so I just need to add the backing. I also have half a donation beanie knitted

Ran an errand in town today and planned to do some shopping but decided, nah I only need milk so I got a couple of bits for lunch and evening meal instead.
I took my orange flowered shopping bag and noticed that a wasp - a rather BIG wasp, was hitching a ride on the top.
So I waited until I got off the bus and yeeted that bugger with a quick flick of my fingers. Because, if I'd tried to wave my arms and kill it, it would have sent out an alarm to its much bigger and meaner brothers.
And I don't want that, I merely relocated it to another location, a couple of feet away without touching it
#yeeted a wasp today#for the record i have a big fear of wasps and often freeze when i see a load of them#this time there was just the one and i read somewhere that its best to leave them well alone#i hated working in the laundry where the window HAD to be ledt open due to the heat in the room#there was a wasps nest close by and it was damned near scary seeing loadsnof them zoom into the laundry room

i kind of dislike that its like. focused on your sim being a landlord it seems (from surface level looking into it) But whatever
#iiii am going to use it so i can have a huge family living on the same lot without having to use mods to increase household size#bc it gets overwhelming having to control like 50 sims LMAO. this is awwwsome bc i legit just this morning got inspired to start a new#legacy save ik i always say that and then i barely even make it to 3 generations but listen. this ones going to be different bc i remembere#ghosts and i have a rly cool mod so that only certain sims (kids animals and some other sims) can see ghosts#so i think itd be swagalicious to have a ton of ghosts . idk why i said swagalicious sorry. butttt itd be so cool to have this huge old#house and split it into smaller apartments so i can have a big family living there :] and have little likee detached apartments..#im just kinda bummed that itll treat the extended family members as like. tenants. rather than family members#BUT this is exciting. i feel like i cn make something rly similar to my great grans house#where like. you had the main house my great grans house and then you have my uncle ronnies trailer in the front yard and then#my aunt brits/shaes (idr whos it actually was skull) trailer out back...#and this could also be like my grannys house Ill never be able to actually make my grannys house in ts4 its got like. a kind of weird layou#its not weird TO ME bc its normal. but its built into a hill so ts4 doesnt like it#same thing with my grans house. both of them r built into a hill so its just not doablee 😭 unless they completely change the way they do#terrain + floor levels. bc the way my grannys house is like#the front door is ground level and then theres a little landing bit#and then you have a staircase upstairs and a staircase downstairs#and downstairs is Technically a basement but bc of the hill like. the back wall of the downstairs has a little patio. even tho the front is#likee. its not completely underground theres likee maybe 2ish feet above ground level and there s a window there peeking into a flowerbed#and the downstairs isnt like a normal basement bc its like. its got 3 bedrooms + a living room with fireplace and its own full bathroom. an#also the laundry room is down there#sigh.... so basically the house is like. its a very simple 2 story house but theres like. its just shifted so its a halfstory below ground.#i mighttt be able to do something with platforms ?? to make it work?? but i wouldnt be able to build it into the hill#my grans house is more straight forward like the basement is mostly underground aside from the very back wall which is also the garage#butttt its also got a little landing on the staircase that leads to the basement. and theres a door there that leads outside#it also has a bunch of random doors on the top floor (which is the floor you enter on but as you get further back into the house its like.#it kind of turns into a 2 story house)#this isnt my grans Now house she moved out yeah im upset abt it but whatever. but yeah its like that bc apparently the basement used to be#like. entirely underground but when the interstate was built they had to like. move the house ?? or move the hill at least. so yeah

opal is so funni... cries and screams at my parents bedroom door and when u let her in she sits at the bottom of the bed and watches the open window (it HAS to be open) intently before crying about being cold (because the window is open) and begging to be let back into my room

HOA fees are out of fucking control.
#I’m not moving anytime soon#but I’m window shopping for a more stable time in the future#and Jesus H God#not one permanent place is without an HOA#they start at 150 and are usually more like 300#and I’m seeing places with 900 to a thousand a month#and I don’t care how nice your laundry room or gym facility is#or even in this last most egregious instance covering heat water and power#why the fuck is anyone paying more than the principal a month#in HOA fees
