I have a theory on how chapter 430 is going to end and I believe it's going to end with a conversation between bakugou and izuku. Spoilers below

You see, The three main character of my hero academia plus girl lead is izuku, todoroki, bakugou and ochako.

We saw a todoroki character closure with him and his family. After endeavor and shouto took down dabi we saw a change in the family dynamic. Endeavor admit his faults that he wasnt a good father and husband but wants to make up for it(prime example: him visiting dabi whos recovering and lock up in holding everyday). The todoroki's spends time together as a family despite the strain relationship but they working on trying to be a family again.

We saw in the latest chapter mha 429, ochako got her closure with her realizing that she's is grieving over the death of toga. Izuku comforts her and tells her along the lines that he's here for her and that she doesn't need to shoulder all this heavy weight anymore. That she has the class 1a to be right by her side too hence them showing up to comfort her.

The last two characters who needs closure is bakugou and izuku and I feel like that's what ties the series together. It comes full circle. It started with them and it's going to end with them. It makes sense to have the last chapter 430 be about them. In chapter 429, bakugou brings up izuku embers from OFA and we know that izuku gave his powers to shigaraki.

My confusion is whether he still has full control of the power or its going to slowly dissipate until he become quirkless again and we all know how much they both want to become heros and bakugou wants to become the #1 alongside izuku.

They gotta have a conversation surrounded OFA and all might can have a part of this too.

do you know how they number the bears? 747 for life

The bear monitoring system is something i do not know too much about, as it primarily used by the rangers internally for collecting data about the bears. The rangers do a lot of monitoring of the bears at Brooks River, tracking their appearance as well as a wide range of behaviors, and how both of those things change over the years. This tracking system allows us to study so, so much more about the bears here than humans would normally be able to, and they do it all without tagging or physical tracking devices of any kind.

Anyways, more to your question -- Bears are given a 3 digit identification number when they are first identified as independent bears who frequent the brooks river area. Each bear identified this way in a given year has the same starting digit, though obviously since bears can sometimes live upwards of 30 years at Brooks River and they only have 10 digits (0-9) to work with, not every bear with the same starting digit was identified the same year. also, regarding bear id numbers starting with 0, most of the time the 0 is left off when rangers talk about the bears. 89 Backpack's number is technically 089, for example, but everyone just writes it as 89, so i have followed suit in this post and every other post.

litter mates often have numbers very close to one another, because they all become independent subadults the same year, and bears who were raised at Brooks River as cubs generally stay in the area once they are independent. i think the rangers try to keep bears that they believe to be related near each other in the monitoring system, but i don't have a specific source on that -- I'm just looking at examples like 912 and 913, and 428 and 429. Though, also, sometimes a bear doesn't show up the same year as their litter mates so they get separated in the numbering system. A good example is bear 99, who showed up a year later than 912 and 913, even though it is generally believed that the three of them are 39's 2016 litter.

Additionally, I want to be clear that not every bear that is first identified as independent in the same year is the same age. Not only do independent bears first begin frequenting brooks river at wildly different ages -- everything from newly emancipated subadults familiar with the area to fully-grown adults who suddenly appear one day -- but in addition, not all bears are emancipated at the same age, either. Cubs generally stay with their mother for 2-3 summers, but we have seen emancipation happen after just 1 summer and we have seen it happen after as many as 4 summers.

Also, when a monitored bear has not been seen for 10 years, then their number is recycled and added back into the pool of available numbers. as an example, there was a female bear numbered 720 who we last saw in 2006. so in 2016, her number was recycled, and was used for a new subadult female.

AITA for going after a criminal family after my ex-boss’ son killed my dog and stole my car?

I, 40m, lost my wife to a disease that unfortunately took her from this world. I met her in a difficult time of my life when I was forced to work a job that I felt chained to. Three years later, we got married. Unfortunately my married days lasted 5 years before she was diagnosed with an illness that she would later succumb to.

A few days after she died, right after her funeral ended, I had received a small puppy(named Daisy) from her as a final gift. Before this, she had bought me a 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a car which I have held very dearly since it was one of the very few gifts I had received in my life. Please keep in mind of these two things that she had given me.

Days later, I took my car out as I went shopping for my newly acquired puppy since I didn’t want her sleeping on the floor. Afterwards, I went to a gas station where I met this kid (27m) and his friends. They were speaking in Russian while I was minding my business. The kid, which I will be naming Usef. Usef is the nepo baby kid of my former boss who I only came to know after the next events. I was in the gas station as I mentioned, before Used approached me and engaged in small talk. He seemed like an asshole kid so I didn’t talk much to him, plus, my wife just died. He asked me what model my car was and seemed interested in the subject enough for me to talk back to him in his little talk. Afterwards, he asked me “how much?” I didn’t believe it at first, so I asked what he was talking about. Usef told me he was talking about the car. I replied that “she’s not for sale” and that seem to make him back off a bit before I entered my car and he saw my puppy. I thought he was maybe just being friendly to the dog before he told me, almost smugly, that “everything has a price, bitch”. I replied; “not this bitch” which got him mad. Fortunately for him, his friend came back from the store next to the station and got him to calm down before he went into a temper tantrum.

Now here’s where it gets bad. Later that night, I fell asleep as normal, before I heard Daisy waking up to some noise. She seemed to be stressed so I walked outside and right afterwards, I could feel a sharp pain hitting the back of my head. I blacked out and before I knew it, I was on the cold floor of my living room while I saw intruders walking around my house all dressed in black. I did a quick head count and put the two dots together that this was the kid from the gas station and his clique. They beat me up, asking for where my car was and proceeded to kill Daisy. After that, the gas station kid hit me with a bat. I woke up an hour later.

I quickly cleaned up and went to a friend’s place(who is a mechanic) and the kid turned out to be my ex-boss’ kid. I borrowed a car from my friend, and immediately got to work in hunting this guy and friends down.

I checked into a hotel, and got some insight from an old friend of mine who told me that I might as well get something out of it. I got a tip from another old friend that he was in a club. I went to the club, armed, and told one of the guards to take the night off since I couldn’t bring myself to unleash myself upon him.

It was an easy stealth mission, I was close to killing the kid and leaving, before I got unlucky and a guard tackled me into the public eye. Right after that, it was a bloodshed. I didn’t mean to kill all those people but you have to do what you have to do. Anyways, the kid escaped so I went back to my room, got into a fight with this one woman, and got some details on how to anger my ex-associate into finding his son. I went to a church which was a cover up for said ex-boss’ stash of blackmail evidence and money. Which I destroyed.

Following that, ex-boss came in all angry, and killed the priest that was supposed to keep it hidden. After that, I lunged in and tried taking out as many of his men as I can before I got rammed into a car by another car and I blacked out once again.

I woke up in an old warehouse where ex-boss went on a tangent on “it was just a puppy” and “just a car” which I disagree with because it doesn’t seem like he cares about his wife as much as I do.

And then I killed his bodyguards, well, one. The other one was shot down by an old friend who I considered a mentor. Anyways, it was a tough fight between me and that one man before I went to go hunt down ex-associate and ask him where his son was.

He immediately broke and told me where the kid was, and I immediately went to go look for him.

I killed him, and a few others. And after that, I killed his father too. AITA for taking this too far?

Chapter 429

So here's that random guy we saw a few chapters ago. He's got a weird quirk

The giant final battle accidentally freed this guy. He was a least four when he got locked down in the basement, and who knows how long ago that was. But he seems able to speak pretty well... but whatever his quirk is he never figured it out and tried to escape where he was tied up and had his mouth sown shut.

I know trauma's not a competition, but I feel like this guy's winning. On a completely unrelated note...

Uraraka's crying over Toga, Midoriya showed up. It's where last chapter left off.

"Hero for heroes" "You inspire me" That's what this is. I just summarized like three pages.

Then there's also some complete misunderstanding of Toga's perspective.

I'm so glad AfO didn't steal Dark Shadow. It would've been so sad if Tokoyami lost what's essentially a conjoined twin that he's had for practically his entire life.

KATZ WRAPPED 2023

spotify wrapped is fine and all but i have calculated some stats and rankings of my own, many pertaining to my sick and twisted list of albums to get through during the year.

overall, i crossed 429 albums off my list in 2023.

some of these were albums i had listened to in full years ago, but wanted to revisit because i had a feeling i'd enjoy them more (ex: in keeping secrets of silent earth: 3, year zero). many were albums where i was familiar with one or even a handful of tracks off them, but had never actually listened to them in full (ex: magma, living in darkness). but probably the majority of albums on the list, i had never heard at all (ex: angelfish, spanking machine). the math brings me out to 8.25 albums per week!

i added 779 new tracks to my music library this year, which is the most music i have ever added in a year. the first track i added in 2023 was "Diet Pill" by L7, and the last was "Double Decker" by Skating Polly.

my overall artists of the year were Sleater-Kinney, Jimmy Eat World, and Bad Religion.

i got to see Bad Religion live in 2023!

i also saw Backyard Superheroes, Joker's Republic, Save Ferris, HXLT, Death From Above 1979, Sunsetter, Cam Kahin, Anyway Gang, Tim Kasher, Sparta, Koyo, Thursday, '68, Thrice, The Upstart Crows, and Speed of Light! and i took terrible photos, as always!

my favorite artists that i really discovered this year from the list were Mary Timony, Bayside, and PJ Harvey!

my overall favorite track from the year was "Denise" by Fountains of Wayne!

in total, i spent about 1163.5 hours listening to music in 2023, about 3 hours a day. this is lower than previous years, probably because i spent a bit more time listening to podcasts than usual. when i worked at a reptile and insect-focused pet shop, i would listen to Behind the Bastards for almost the entire workday.

in 2023, i created three new playlists to organize my music:

VENERABLE SISOE THE REAT OF EGYPT (429).

Saint Sisoes the Great (+ 429) was a solitary monk, pursuing asceticism in the Egyptian desert in a cave sanctified by the prayerful labors of his predecessor, Saint Anthony the Great (January 17). For his sixty years of labor in the desert, Saint Sisoes attained to sublime spiritual purity and he was granted the gift of wonderworking, so that by his prayers he once restored a dead child back to life.

Extremely strict with himself, Abba Sisoes was very merciful and compassionate to others, and he received everyone with love. To those who visited him, the saint first of all always taught humility. When one of the monks asked how he might attain to a constant remembrance of God, Saint Sisoes remarked, “That is no great thing, my son, but it is a great thing to regard yourself as inferior to everyone else. This leads to the acquisition of humility.” Asked by the monks whether one year is sufficient for repentance if a brother sins, Abba Sisoes said, “I trust in the mercy of God that if such a man repents with all his heart, then God will accept his repentance in three days.”

When Saint Sisoes lay upon his deathbed, the disciples surrounding the Elder saw that his face shone like the sun. They asked the dying man what he saw. Abba Sisoes replied that he saw Saint Anthony, the prophets, and the apostles. His face increased in brightness, and he spoke with someone. The monks asked, “With whom are you speaking, Father?” He said that angels had come for his soul, and he was entreating them to give him a little more time for repentance. The monks said, “You have no need for repentance, Father.” Saint Sisoes said with great humility, “I do not think that I have even begun to repent.”

After these words the face of the holy abba shone so brightly that the brethren could not look upon him. Saint Sisoes told them that he saw the Lord Himself. Then there was a flash like lightning and a fragrant odor, and Abba Sisoes departed to the Heavenly Kingdom

SAINT BARNABAS, ELDER OF GETHSEMANE SKETE OF St SERGIUS LAVRA ( 1906)

Saint Barnabas was born on January 24, 1831 in the village of Prudishchi of the Venevsky district of the Tula province. His name in the world was Vasily Ilyich Merkulov, the last of seven children born to pious peasant parents Ilya and Daria Merkulov.

On December 23, 1857 he became a novice of the Gethsemane Monastery of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra, and only after almost ten years, on November 20, 1866, he took monastic tonsure under the name of Barnabas.

In 1871 Barnabas was ordained a hierodeacon, on January 10, 1872 a hieromonk, and some time later the abbot of the Lavra approved him as the Spiritual Confessor of the Caves of Gethsemane. From this moment the fame of Barnabas increased among believers. In 1890 he became the confessor of the whole monastery.

Pilgrims from all over Russia came to the clairvoyant Elder Barnabas. He helped people to repent, gave soul-saving advice, and through his prayers the suffering were healed.

Pilgrims noted a special spiritual sobriety, gentleness and caution in his pastoral practice. Through the prayers of the ascetic, family troubles were resolved, and many healings took place. He advised to heal minor illnesses by strict fasting (“bread and water will not do harm”), and in severe illnesses he sometimes recommended certain doctors.

He would receive from five hundred to a thousand people every day. According to legend, in January 1905 Emperor Nicholas II went to confession to Barnabas, and in return the Elder prophesied to him his impending martyrdom.

Elder Barnabas further prophesied about the future of Russia: "The persecution against the faith will constantly increase. Hitherto unheard of grief and darkness will seize everyone and everything, and the temples will be closed. But when it becomes intolerable, liberation will come ... The temples will be erected again. There will be a flourishing before the end."

In January 1906, the elder showed an acute catarrh of the respiratory tract, and his vision was weakened. He died on February 17 of that year. In 1995 he was officially canonized by the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church.

what were some of your greatest accomplishments this year and out of all of them, which one was the most memorable one for you?

"this year brought numerous accomplishments, including my solo b-side for our japanese debut and the addition of new members. things also seem much smoother now compared to last year, maybe because i was still a rookie idol gaining new experiences. however, the most memorable highlight was the asia tour. considering crystallis is still less than three years old, the speed at which it happened was a pleasant surprise. meeting overseas fans was the best part — it felt amazing to perform for those who had supported us from afar and finally meeting them was akin to reuniting with a long-distance friend."

what area(s) do you think you’ve personally improved on since the beginning of this year?

"throughout this year, i dedicated myself to improving my singing and acting skills. while some have praised my singing, i believe there's always room for improvement, especially when performing live. so i focused on practicing that and eventually gained more confidence in hitting higher notes on stage. another skill i think i've improved on would be my acting. although i haven't been participating in a lot of acting gigs this year, i've taken the time to review my past drama experience and improved them with the help of my acting coach. i feel my performance skills improved slightly too. although the change may not be drastic, i feel more at ease expressing myself on stage now than before."

what are some of your personal goals for 2024?

"i hope to concentrate more on composition — both in lyrics and music. expressing my feelings through my work is important to me and though creating a song entirely on my own will take time, i aim to be part of the composition team by year-end. seeing my name credited under the song title would be an incredible accomplishment."

in the group, what do you consider your biggest weakness and what can you do to improve on it?

"in terms of performance skills, i feel i'm in a good position at the moment. i mean, i already own a main position so i don't want to steal the spotlight from the other girls. but in terms of entertainment skills, i'll say my biggest weakness would be variety and hosting. i've never been on a variety show before so i guess participating more in those would not only help me improve personally but also contribute to promoting the group to a wider audience."

[During the Warring States era, seven states, Qin, Wei, Han韓, Zhao, Chu, Qi, Yan, sat atop the power rankings, above a shrinking field of smaller states. Since, spoilers, Qin went on to dominate and then conquer the rest, the others are often collectively referred to as the Six States.

At that time, eastward from the He and the Mountain there were six strong states, and between the Huai and the Si there were more than ten small states. Chu and Wei shared borders with Qin. Wei built long walls, and from Zheng adjoining the Luo and northward had Shang commandery. Chu from Hanzhong to the south had Ba and Qianzhong. Both, since the Yi and the Di got along with Qin, shunned and scorned them [Qin], and they did not mange to join the assemblies or alliances of the Central States. And so Duke Xiao let go of his frustrations, spread out his virtue and cultivated government, intending to strengthen Qin.

8th Year [361 BC], Duke Xiao sent down an order within the state which said:

In bygone times our Duke Mu [659 – 621 BC] from between Qi and Yong cultivated virtue and acted martially. To the east he pacified the chaos in Jin and used the He as the border. To the west he was hegemon over the Rong and Di, broadening the land a thousand li. The Son of Heaven made him Elder and the various feudal lords to the last sent their congratulations, making him founded a legacy for later generations extremely brilliant and fair. It happened in the past, during the unquietness of Dukes Li [476 – 443 BC], Zao [442 – 429 BC],, and Jian [r. 414 – 400 BC], and Chuzi [r. 386 – 385 BC], that state and family had interior troubles and had no leisure for outside affairs. The Three Jin attacked and took our former lords' land of Hexi, humiliation is not greater than that. When Duke Xian was installed [in 384 BC], he quelled and consoled the border regions, and moved the government seat to Yueyang. Moreover, he intended an eastern offensive, to restore Duke Mu's old lands, and cultivate Duke Mu's government and orders. This Orphaned Person ponders and recalls the Former Lord's thoughts, and frequently feels a pain in the heart. Those guests, visitors, and crowd of subjects who are able to put forth marvellous plans to strengthen Qin, I will moreover venerate with office, and grant to them an allotment of land.

And so Gongsun Yang of Wei衛 heard that this order had been sent down, and then went west to enter Qin.

Gongsun Yang, a commoner-born grandson of the Wei衞 ruling family, was fond of the school of Punishments and Names. He served Wei's魏 Minister Gongshu Cuo. Cuo understood his worth, but had not put him forth for advancement. He happened to fall ill, and King Hui of Wei [r. 369 – 319 BC] went to question him, saying:

With Gongshu's illness, if there is what cannot be avoided, what should be done for the soil and grain?

Gongshu said:

Cuo's Central Retainer Wei Yang, though young in years, has marvellous talent. [I] wish my Lord would lift up the state and listen to him!

The King was silent. Gongshu said:

If my Lord will not listen to and employ Yang, [you] must kill him, and not have him set out from the borders!

The King promised to assent to it, and then left. Gongshu summoned Yang to apologize, saying:

I put first my lord and after his subject, and for that reason first made plans with my lord, and afterwards report it to you, Sir. Sir, you must act quickly!

Yang said:

[If] my lord was not able to employ Sir's, words to appoint a subject, then again why would he be able to employ Sir's words to kill a subject!

In the end he did not leave. The King went out, and spoke to his left and right, saying:

Gongshu's illness is severe, how sad! [He] wanted to make this Orphaned Person have the state listen to Wei Yang. And then also he urged this Orphaned Person to kill him. How is that not confused!

[The King thinks Gongshu Cuo has become so ill he is no longer capable of coherent thought, completely missing his argument that Wei Yang is so talented he must either serve Wei or die.]

Wei Yang then arrived in Qin, and owing to the favourite Jing Jian, sought an audience with Duke Xiao, to explain his techniques for enriching the state and strengthening the troops. The Duke was greatly pleased, and discussed state affairs with him.

10th Year [359 BC], Wei Yang wished to change the laws. The people of Qin were not pleased. Wei Yang talked to Duke Xiao of Qin, saying:

In all cases, the people cannot be contemplated with at the beginning, but they can be rejoiced with at the completion. Those who debate the highest virtue are not in harmony with the commonplace. Those who achieve great merit do not make plan with the multitudes. Thus, a sagely person, regardless of anything else, if it can strengthen the state, does not model himself on the old.

Gan Long said:

Not so. By adhering to the law and then govern, the functionaries will be familiar with it, and the people will be calmed by it.

Wei Yang said:

Ordinary people are calmed by old customs. Those who study are immersed in what they know about. To use this pair to fill offices and defend the law is possible, but not to debate with them what is outside the law. The wise make the laws, the foolish are regulated by them. The worthy alter the rites, the incompetent are restrained by them.

The Duke said:

Good.

He used Wei Yang as Chief of Retainers of the Left. In the end he decided on an order for changing the laws.

He ordered the people be grouped in tens and fives, to shepherd and oversee each other and be jointly incriminated with each other. Those who reported treachery were rewarded similarly to those who cut of an enemy's head. Those who did not report treachery were punished similarly to whose who surrendered to the enemy. Those who had merit with the army would each proportionately receive a higher feudal rank. Those who engaged in private quarrels would according to its seriousness receive greater or lesser punishment. Those who put their efforts into the fundamental professions, who ploughed and wove to produce grain and silk in great quantity, would have [their taxes] returned to themselves. Those whose affairs were non-essential profitmaking and those who were impoverished from idleness were put forward for custodial servitude. Those of the ducal house had no evaluation for merit in the army would not get to belong on its records. He clarified the feudal title and salary, rank and grade for the honoured and the low, each proportionally to their names' rank had fields and dwellings, subjects and concubines, clothing and dress. Those who had merit were visible and glorious, those who had no merit, even if wealthy, had nothing that was alluring or elegant.

When the order had been drawn up but not yet published, [Wei Yang] feared the mistrust of the people. He therefore erected a piece of wood three zhang long at the southern gate at the state's capital market, and recruited those among the people who were able to move and set it up at the northern gate with a reward of ten jin. People were curious about it, but none dared to move it. He then said:

Those who are able to move it will be given fifty jin!

There was a single person who moved it, and he immediately gave him fifty jin. Then he sent down the order.

[The point of this exercise was to prove to the people that Wei Yang would keep his word.]

When the order had been in force for a full year, those commoners of Qin who came to the state's capital to talk of the new order's disadvantages were in the thousands. And so the Heir-Apparent violated the law. Wei Yang said:

That the laws are not carried out comes from the sovereign violating them.

The Heir-Apparent, as his lord's successor, could not be punished with mutilation. So he mutilated his tutor, Gongzi Qian, and tattooed his teacher, Gongsun Jia.

These are all people who make chaos of the law.

He fully moved them to the border. After that people did not dare to discuss the order.

Gilliard, 429 Parkside Drive. In the prisoner's pockets, Thompson found two ladies' bracelets, a watch and keys. A shirt the prisoner was wearing was also reported stolen from the house. Police stated Roberts would also face trial in County Court on a charge of stealing a watch from a house in Baby Point.

Recovered in Pawnshop. Thomas Miller, no address, was arrested on University Avenue at Dundas Street, Saturday night by Detectives Barber and Gadd, charged with housebreaking. On Aug. 10 and 11. Miller is charged with entering the home of Henry Spovatt, 8 Prince Arthur Avenue. A screen was removed from a rear window of the house and this was used on both ocсаsions by Miller to get in, police said. They are charged with breaking into a cigar store at 165.1-2 Church Street, owned by Morris Madorskie, and stealing about $35 worth of cigars, cigarets, stamps, pencils and razor blades. The front door of the store was forced open. The detectives were investigating the break-in when they found the accused near the place and claim to have recovered about half the stolen property.

At World of Asphalt, Deere unveiled the 904 P-Tier Wheel Loader

At World of Asphalt this week, John Deere unveiled its new naming system for the 904 P-Tier wheel loader, with the goal of expanding it to the rest of its L Series loaders.

The naming system for equipment is based on three tier levels: G, P, and X.

In addition, the company is introducing an industry first: larger back views from the machine to improve operators’ situational awareness.

According to Luke Gribble, Deere’s solutions marketing manager for loaders and aggregates solutions, the tiers will be rolled out to all of the company’s large loaders later this year, with the exception of the 944K hybrid wheel loader.

The P-tier for wheel loaders has the same advanced features as the L Series models from the firm. G stands for budget models, whereas X stands for the company’s most cutting-edge features and hybrid diesel-electric technology. Those letters take the place of the letter that appears after the model number.

The 904 P-Tier has replaced the 844L Aggregate Handler, however there are a few changes between the two. “It had enough unique features that we decided to split it from the 844 and give it its own identity,” Gribble explains.

The L Series modifications will be on the new P-Tier vehicles, including the cabs from the last design revision, according to him. Automatic temperature control, ventilated seats, increased legroom, and standard joystick steering are among the amenities.

In addition, the 904 P-Tier has more horsepower, breakout force, and hydraulic pressure. Deere need a larger bucket in order to fill a regular 24-ton truck in two passes. The bucket capacity ranges from 9.3 to 9.8 cubic yards.

To support the increasing weight, Deere raised the counterweight and installed larger tilt cylinders to the front of the loader. According to Gribble, the manufacturer also gave it bigger tires for added weight and stability.

A more expansive and seamless rear view

“And later this year, we’ll have some new technologies that you can purchase on these machines,” Gribble says.

The Advanced Vision and Object Detection System, which the business claims is a first in the industry, is one of the new optional technologies. The Twins At A Glance- The Minnesota Twins are riding high after sweeping the Diamondbacks over the weekend. The Tigers starting staff has a 4.78 ERA, which is fifth-worst in baseball. The bullpen is a little better with a 4.17 ERA, which is nineteenth in MLB.

Detroit stunned Minnesota and took three of four in mid-June at Target Field then the Twins took a three-game set the very next weekend.
