Dove wasn't "born" to be a hero. She wasn't "cut out" for it. She was born of two bloodlines that defy human nature, either towards extreme evil or extreme passivity. Not towards Doing Good.

But do you know what she DID about it?

She learned. She was determined to make a difference. She was desperate to make up for the horrors of DDD, so much so that she was willing to fly in the face of everything she had ever known and become a hero.

She didn't have benevolence or accolades or The Greater Good in mind when she embarked on her first-ever "mission" to do something good for the world.

She just wanted to redeem herself.

And she didn't have any delight or excitement or anything remotely like "ease" when she started training to become a Teen Titan.

But she had heart and she had bravery and they gave her the strength to do it anyways.

I love my timid, quiet, flinching precious Dove so much, guys.

And I just can't wait to start writing the stories where she finally finds her strength, and PUBLISH them!

(Fuck's sake, I write TEEN TITANS fanfiction for a reason! She's a SUPERHERO! Isn't it about time I start finishing the stories about her BEING one?!)

4. A character you rarely talk about?

on tumblr or irl??? because those are Very different answers. actually wait i just realized thats definitely a lie because i remembered my beloved little guys, matthew, maria, and miguel. thats three characters but theyre a set pair to me so! their story is set in an urban fantasy world, and the three of them are siblings. matthew (the youngest) inherited his parents company that specializes in combining magic and tech for advancements. maria, the middle child, broke off from the family business after an argument when she was about 15 years old. she started running her own plant shop after that, a very small one that has no interest in growing bigger. then theres miguel, who ran away from his family at 17 and was completely missing until he reappeared at 26 bloodied on marias doorstep. i Love their concept dearly, honestly the only reason i havent talked about them at all is bcs i just,,, dont know what to say?? i havent really gotten anything about them figured out other than their designs and the vague blurb of their plot. i might revisit them though, theyre a lot of fun.

29. Which one of your OCs would go investigate an abandoned house at night without telling anyone they’re going?

tumelo literally does this exact thing at some point. and its over a Jacket 💀 shes one of my characters for the ttrpg "the urban legend club", a paranormal investigator whos intimate knowledge of the paranormal (to the point she seems almost familiar with it, hmmm wonder what thats about) helps aid the rest of the club in solving various mysteries that crop up. shes also the founder of the club! tumelo isnt impulsive, per se, but she Is stubborn as hell, and once she gets a whiff of a mystery shes going after it. at the point in time where she sneaks into the abandoned building, she had been prescribed bedrest by her very worried moms and club members because she passed out after the first investigation everybody did as a team. after hearing everybodys accounts of what happened, though, she formed a theory about the strange happenings going on in there and snuck out to confirm her suspicions herself. she was Right, but she couldnr even prove it, so uh. rip girl lmfaooo 😭

43. Do you have any certain type when you create your OCs? Do you tend to favour some certain traits or looks? It’s time to confess

i am almost Certain that there is, i just cannot for the life of me figure out what. actually wait. in a lot of my original stories, the characters i tend to go the most insane over usually have this Big Bad Secret that pivots the way every other character sees them in the future. its really fun for me personally, i think, to play around with a character dancing around something, and to see what sort of tells (if at all) a character has that gives away the secret that slip under other characters radars. i also really love seeing the fallout in a) the reveal of the secret, and b) the fact that a character has been hiding said secret from them the entire time. it adds so much spice to how said character interacts with everybody later on. as for traits, i do love me a little shit smooth talker. also i like it when a character has, in some shape or form, genuinely been cruel, harmful, or otherwise "evil" (for lack of better word), regardless of their very same capacity to do good. very funky, i love it dearly.

oh wait actually one more trait that they all share: none of them have last names. bcs fuck that what do you Mean i have to come up with another name????? after i already did the first??????? cruel and evil.

The cricket's question made Riku think of Sora. Of course, Riku couldn't tell him everything, but Sora was still a friend with a special place in his heart.

"Yeah... actually I do." Riku closed his eyes and imagined Soras's face for a moment, then looked at Pinocchio and Jiminy. "That stupid grin he's always wearing— he's the best teacher I could ever have."

I loved this scene during the game and it was clear in DDD he's so gay and he loves Sora so much. A big part of DDD in my perspective was being able to accept yourself/forgive yourself of the darkness of the past and maybe someday open himself up to Sora about his feelings.

And here it shows Sora has a special place in his heart... He definitely likes him. I love how he imagines Sora in the scene, I mean I thought he was thinking of Sora BUT TO EXPLICITLY SAY he imagined Sora's face is another thing.

"He saved me. But you two are nothing alike." Shiki leaned in close to Sora's ear and whispered, "You know, Neku and Riku are really similar."

"Huh?". Surprised, Sora looked at Neku.

Now that you mentioned it, I can see it. They're both a little prickly sometimes, but they have a heart of gold underneath.

"Wh-why are you staring at me..?" Neku returned Sora's gaze uneasily.

"Yeah, you may be onto something."

DDD NOVEL — Sora's Side

This is a nice section that shows a comparison between the characters. Shiki notes how Sora and Riku are nothing alike, but Neku is quite similar to Riku. It's not that Soriku filled, but it's nice to see the comparison with Neku who ends up in his actual game accidentally trading Shiki (who's very important to him/ with no memories at that) to continue to survive another round to be able to return to life.

Also I'd imagined Riku getting flustered if someone stares at him because of one of the kh2 novel states that Riku always won sword fights, but Sora won starring contests. HE PROBABLY GETS FLUSTERED.

"I won't hold back, and I won't underestimate you. I give everything I have to set you free. I was always jealous of you, Sora. I used to feel it all the time, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't still. I believe that feeling was darkness, but now I know it's not.

The truth is, it gave me strength, and so did having someone to challenge me. Light and Darkness are perfect compliments of each other — the shadows are always greatest next to the dark. I know what that means now, truly. When those dark feelings come over you, only your heart can decide whether to let them sink deeper into the darkness or to bring them out into the light of the sun.

Accepting both is what it means to have a heart. It gives us strength. Even a form of pride, in a way. I don't think anyone can honestly say it's not. Same with wanting to be stronger. Joy and Sorrow, Anger and Hatred— whether those feelings become your light or your darkness is for you to decide.

The strength of your darkness is what allows you to choose. That's why I choose to let the light shine onto my own darkness. And Sora that's you."

DDD Novel — Riku Side

I made a post on just this entire statement Riku made before but I had to include it, it's so gay. He's comparing dark and light to him and Sora. He says Sora is his light. He accepts both light and Darkness and because of that it's strength and some sort of pride... Maybe gay pride 🧐🧐🧐

But he realizes his jealousy made him stronger and just shows his development of how he is with darkness and how he is with Sora.

i did something incredible today. i was terse with my flakey cousin over the phone before fully understanding why i was angry with her. i acted on it BEFORE completely processing it. and i withheld information to put her at a disadvantage and benefit myself! i am so proud of myself, this never happens.
