Would it be possible to know how the ROs would react to accidentally stumbling across some very poetic love letters the MC wrote to/about them but never gave them? 💌

Rook: He's tempted to keep it, as some kind of tangible proof that there had been something there, regardless of where the two of you have landed now. Instead, he lets himself rereading it over and over until the feeling of it sticks to his memory, and he slips it back into the desk or drawer or wherever he accidentally found it. There's a reason why you never gave it to him. It's up to you what you want to do with it now

Beck: His fingers trace the handwriting, wondering when you wrote these or why you hid them away. He's not a poet or a writer, but he thinks of writing his own letter, returning the gift you never gave. He doesn't read through it all, once he realizes what they are and that you never gave it to him. He does think of a way to write and voice his own feelings

Rhea: She feels it's an invasion of privacy to keep reading, but she finds she can't stop once she started. No one has ever spoken about her like this. She tries to picture herself in your eyes, even if it was in the midst of an early crush just taking form. When it's the easiest to romanticize someone. She aches for this, for you. She wants to see you. She wants to put a voice to her own feelings as well

Zoe: They see their name and read it without thinking. They breath catches in their throat, as they read what you wrote, picking apart at every word. They stand there, stunned, and when you come to check on them, they startle hard. Words are rushing out before they can stop themself, "Do you really mean it? Is this really how you feel about me?" Hope wraps around them in a vibrant and delicate haze

Lars: "You shouldn't leave these things laying around." He drops the letter in front of you. "You never mentioned that you were quite the writer, either." There's a spark in his eyes, an unspoken question as he gauges your reaction. He'd been a little thrown off when he'd found them, but his name was on them and he'd opened them up before realizing what was on them. He doesn't know how old they are, or if they still stand, but he's going to ask about it anyway

???: They know these words already, heard flashes of them in your head. Now they stare at how they look formed outside your thoughts, penned by your own hand. They could wax poetics about you as well. It sometimes comes like second nature to them. But for now, they want to be lost in your words a little longer. They want to echo them back to you a little later.

I'm sure after the successful murder mystery party Lars sets up little hobby activities around st shelter for him and his partners to have excuses to spend more time together.

Alkaid makes 'tiny' suggestions when on normal dates as offerings for more ideas, Lars catches on quickly, this becomes a sort of exchange habit they make. Lars jokes how his 'little spy' is good at setting things up.

Ayn doesn't need to think twice before agreeing, an entire day spent with the people he loves sounds wonderful

Cael can't help but laugh to himself, his boyfriends are more trouble than he bargained for. Though it is 5 against one with little painter taking his other partner's side

Following Cael getting annoyed while also being unable to ignore the mess he got himself into, Ayn's concert has a sequel!

Which is, Lars outside his apartment with his partners in the background to 'serenade' him.

He has half the mind to ask them how they all got here without him knowing, but he's too busy trying to stop himself from laughing due to the sheer silliness of the stunt

Honest to god, he got closer to failing by the second. When he eventually asks Lars why he's doing this the most concrete answer he got was to come downstairs to see for himself

Seeing all his partners around, light glinting in the streetlight catching on their ring fingers he seemed to get it.

Matching promise rings for all of them.

He almost teared up with this also. He has never taken it off unless it's absolutely non-negotiable

Life seems to slow down when he has it on, every day proves itself to be sweeter than the last.

Aside from the very big changes they have all noticed small changes in their dynamics - It's been feeling more comfortable.

Many things have been admitted that nobody but lovers would be allowed to know, not for the sake of taboo, but as a matter of vulnerability.

The breakdown of these barriers probably started when Alkaid sent a message in a group chat

Recalling an odd movie that he's been losing sleep over - Of some sort of awful future that was in store for him.

Everyone knew what he was about, but none of them confirmed it until he finished talking.

He talked about an awful future where he became everything he feared he was; an elusive 'spy' who hides his thoughts and feelings even from the people he cherished dearly. A duplicitous 'wolf in sheep's clothing' of a person.

Maybe he wouldn't avoid becoming like that in the future, becoming an awful partner who wouldn't deserve any of them. Going behind their backs, deciding what's 'best' for them.

Before he has a chance to spiral fully Clarence says he knows what he's talking about.

He saw an odd movie too, where he gave everything for the sake of a future, and a person he wasn't sure he'd see again in a heartbeat, unaware of how much it would break her heart to see him give until his spark was extinguished.

He was also quick to point out that they, unlike movie characters simply yanked around by the plot for convenience, had a say in the matter of how they'd wish their fate to play out.

It's not like those flaws weren't there, his were hidden gracefully where most wouldn't take notice either.

But surely, if they could support each other without any judgment they'd spare all the heartbreak.

It turned into something of an admission session then. Ayn saying he saw the same type of thing, unable to get to the 'future' with how tightly he clung onto the past that was too far away.

Cael said something similar, the movie showing a past he was sure he'd want to remember - That eventually crumbled from it's own state of stagnation.

And Lars lamented how he'd be doomed to loneliness if those movies were real, and surely a lifetime of misery without his partners at his side, roaming endlessly without a companion.

It was a relief for all of them. Even with everything embarrassing laid out in the open, nobody ran, nobody decided that was enough to end it.

Despite their fears, it seemed that did the opposite of what they were expecting. With all the weight off their shoulders just serving to deepen what they already had.

There wasn't a doubt about it, they had each other and everything would be alright.

How would the Ro's react to their partner (mc) sitting down on their lap and doing their makeup??

I'm going to be honest, I couldn't tell if you meant "MC sits down in their lap and does the RO's makeup" or "MC sits down in the ROs lap and does their own makeup" but I went with the 1st one because it felt more fun lol

Rook: He leans back and lets you, without needing much convincing at all. He also isn't about to question why you decided you had to be in his lap to do this instead of in a normal position. He might get a little fidgety depending how long you're going for, tapping against whatever he's sitting on or on your legs or anything else.

Beck: I think he'd be a little excited to try makeup lol, although the closeness makes him pause for a second before he notices what you're going to do. He closes his eyes for the full thing, eyelids twitching when you touch certain parts of his face, fingers twitching against your skin in the same way.

Rhea: She might be shy because of how you're sitting, but she would also love it if the both of you did each other's makeup. While you're doing hers, she's already talking about all the different things that you'd look good with and how to accentuate your best features. It sort of almost turns into her talking about how attractive she finds you without her realizing it

Zoe: They can't tell whether they want to go still or twitch away. Ultimately, they sit rod straight, trying to figure out where to place their hands. Your face is so close, and thank god they need to close their eyes for parts of this, because they keep getting distracted by you. After you're done, they might quietly ask if they can do your own.

Lars: He looks wildly unamused, but he just casually keeps an arm around your waist to keep you steady as he lets you do what you want. If you try to do anything too elaborate, he probably won't entertain it, but he does let you mess around a little bit.

???: My first image is that one Meme Pose of the one girl doing the other's make up (if you know, you know) lmaO. I don't think they'd be the biggest fan of the feeling of it against their skin, but they also would never say no to you. You might get their hands wandering just a little, but it's less heated and more them trying to distract themselves from the sensation of the brush and the texture of the makeup then anything heated
