I may have gotten a little tipsy, and I may have crashed the meeting and said "i've got a comic book idea" and so I was like i've got this guy and I drew boozey it was like it was I think it was funny at the time but I was probably way too obnoxious and have apologized since. [laughs] but that's where boozey came from. like i'm gonna pitch this comic.

MY CHEM APPRECIATION RANT!!!

i think my chem is special in a way where their music changes with each album. not saying other artists haven't done it, duh, but with my chem being my favourite band/artists i just gotta get this out there for them!

i think variety can be a musician's biggest strength, i'd personally rather four albums that sound on a scale of two-mildly-similar-sounding-songs to absolutely-night-and-day rather than four albums that sound all the same.

my two favorite albums are Bullets and Danger Days, again, night and day, but it still feels like my chem. all four members come together and write awesome lyrics, put great power and emotions into them and the instrumentals, it's fucking crazy. even with their single Foundations you can still see their skills still shine despite it still sounding different.

Summertime and Our Lady Of Sorrows are so different to eachother but i love them both so much, normally i wouldn't listen to songs like Scarecrow but since it's my chem the power in it shines through.

and it's not just the main four albums, it carries across to the demos too!

i remember putting Not That Kind Of Girl as a song of the day in a server, and someone actually liking it and being surprised it was my chem!! their variety in music genre and style is such a damn superpower. it's always fun to see people finally trying out a my chem song and being like "oh damn, didn't expect this to be good"!

i love my fair share of pop-punk and rock, but having my chem also have options of songs that are a little less that (sorry i'm not good with genres LOL) such as The World Is Ugly, S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W, Emily, Early Sunsets Over Monroeville and Desert Song just to name a few - allows me to just cleanse my pallet while still being able to hear Gerard sing, y'know? and don't even get me started on their solo music, you'll probably see me making a Drugstore Perfume appreciation post soon.

and that's about it, i love my chem with almost all my heart and really wanted to get this out there, and remember don't attack people for what albums they like and dislike, it's all just a person's taste in music :D be free to reblog/comment and tell me your feelings on this, such as your favorite night and day songs!!

bc of my maka nightcore post ive been thinking a lot abt what music the characters would like and i am convinced ive figured it out… sorta.

soul & tsubaki like jazz and i refuse to change that, they are THE jazz for your soul meme, but soul also really likes just about anything so maka is thoroughly SHOCKED he cannot handle something like nightcore

Tsubaki also loves her vocaloid music. she’s a proud hatsune miku supporter and has dragged blackstar down into hatsune hell with her. i imagine vocaloid is what they play for group study sessions when they need music

I like to think Blackstar talks big but his music is actually full of j-pop , musical theatre , and a hint of whatever else everyone else listens to. His playlist is potentially the scariest of everyones bc there is a high chance this guy listen’s to never gonna give you up unironically and this time is the peak of rickrolling so watch ur Back.

Patty is a huge supporter of death metal and rock. On the other hand, she too is a nightcore fan but only nightcore of my little pony friendship is magic songs. somehow that feels right

Liz and Kid actually uhm share a music taste they share rap, lotus juice and some pop. they also generally r easily going to cry at movie instrumentals bc they r SO PRETTY (and who can BLAME them???)

crona nightcore supporter but like also supporter of the fucked up vocaloid songs. like yk the ones that kikuo makes or okaa-san and what not. but maka has definitely converted crona into how to be a heartbreaker nightcore superiority and it has tainted how crona learns how to enjoy pop music now (soul is DYING in the background)

So I've had this DP playlist for a while, and I've been thinking about sharing it, with an explanation for each song because some of them are only on there because they correspond to very specific AUs that exist only in my head. I'm more or less committed to doing this, but I wanted to start with Blood by mcr because such a perfect encapsulation song for this one AU I would love to see.

Basically, Danny works out a deal with the GIW/his parents, complying with their requests for blood and tissue samples in exchange for retaining some of his freedom. This could be a house arrest kind of freedom or a "you're still locked up in a secure government facility but we'll let you go on supervised walks sometimes, or give you hot chocolate. occasionally" kind of freedom. They're still torturing him, but he thinks it's ok because he technically agreed to it, and its all in the name of "science."

This is a picture from half a year ago, but it occurred to me yesterday while I was keeping Lilja’s head in place during her second treatment that these animals really have to trust us a hecking lot to just let us do these things to them.

She’s been drugged to stay calm and feel a bit less as her teeth get filed down from being like a staircase to nearly straight (it was bad, now it’s almost good). Machines that make loud noises and vibrate get put in her mouth and there’s weird smelling dust everywhere. Meanwhile her human is gently patting her hair and praising her for staying put, and half an hour later she’s back with Fjara and eating hay like nothing happened.

Same goes for the other 3 (namely Týra, Solita and Ieniemini), who just come walking up to you after all that, asking for a treat (and a brush bc it’s shedding season and they’re all itchy ladies).

I don’t really think about it often, but sometimes it’ll hit me how much they trust that we have their best interests at heart and they know this in their own way.
