space camp lip balm, the mint and vanilla are the best

glossier balm dotcom, again the mint is so good and the birthday one is also so good

The berries one- aka the normal one that everyone raves about, isn’t anything special. Formula feels too thick. Better off using vaseline. The chocolate one, however, surprised me lol. Formula is better for some reason? Smells good and you can wear it as a tinted lip balm. The spatula is nice, too.) 🍓🍫

Drea!!!! I need help!!! I moved to a new apartment and it’s sooo dry here and my lips are SUFFERING!!! Especially now that’s it’s winter!!!

Do you know of something that actually works??? Because my lips feel so dry I can basically scratch something!!!

I use the mongo kiss lip balms, they’re made with lots of different oils and butters so they literally melt into your lips and aren’t waxy, they’re the best lip balms I’ve used as a dry lip girlie!! plus they’re only like $3 (i get mine at Walmart, you can find them on amazon too) and any friends I’ve put on say it’s become their fav too!!

You could also try lanolin, you can find it in the baby aisle at lots of supermarkets!! it’s marketed towards breastfeeding mothers cause their skin can get really dry and chapped and bleed due to nursing, but it can be used anywhere on your body!! It’s $10 and comes in a lotion tube so it’ll literally last you forever I got mine over 2 years ago and am just now running out, but it would have probably lasted me even longer cause I share it with my mom so it ran out faster

Ever since Konig met you, his dry skin couldn’t thank you enough. He’s finally upgraded from Head & Shoulders/Dish Soap to an actual skincare routine😭

One time, Horangi stopped by his Konig’s quarters to deliver some paperwork and was greeted by Konig — pink gel eye patches, matcha mud face mask, & applying Laniege to his lips

Skincare lets go!! I'm such a skincare hoe, I just can't help but imagine Konig slowly being introduced to the world of sunscreen, moisturizer and expensive brands just for his skin. He most certainly has skin problems, both from constantly wearing a damp mask that is soaked in sweat, blood, and dirt, and then from exposing his sensitive skin to the sun after days of never showing anything. His skin is as dry as a sandpaper, and Darling would have to do extensive research just to repair the damage. He hates vitamins to help his gut health and to improve his skin, he takes retinol every other night and doesn't forget to moisturize his skin. He has a lot of products that you bought for him especially, but he loves to steal your supplies sometimes because it makes him close to you. It also helps establish a routine when he is away from you - it bring you two closer when he sends you text after forgetting in what order he should apply serums or what to do with a nasty breakout from the last time he gut an enemy and let their blood pour on his face. Horangi is still more traumatized after seeing his colonel is mud mask and what at first asking if it's some new form of full camouflage.

Real Skincare Guide

Level 1: breakouts, non-painful, a little scarring

Minimize your skincare routine, all you need is an oil cleanser (if you wear a lot of makeup) than a good foam cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen. Repeat the same routine before bed just without the sunscreen.

Wear sunscreen everyday!!!

Always apply more moisturizer than you think you need.

Drink a lot of water (2-3LT)

Get consistent sleep

Take a multi vitamins to balance your hormones. I recommend the One-A-Day Woman’s Vitamins (get a real pill cause the gummies don’t have enough iron)

Work on your stress (breathe work, meditate, journal, yoga, walks, going out with friends, therapy, etc)

Look at what body oils/shampoo/conditioner you are using. Could be your akin reacting poorly to something in there.

Level 2: consistant breakouts, acne, scarring

All the stuff for Level 1 apply.

Minimize your skincare routine and than slowly add back in stuff like hydrochloric acid and retinol. Having an elaborate skincare will just make your skin worse. First, focus on healing your skin barrier.

If you are a teenager, it just might be your hormones/growing pains. It will go away eventually.

Pimple Patches work and are especially good if you are trying to stop touching your face.

Wash your pillow cases every 1-2 weeks.

Try to sleep on your back.

If you pop a pimple than apply an antibiotic ointment.

No point in using anti-aging products if you are under the age of 25. It just won’t do anything for you.

Note that if you take in a lot of nicotine you will breakout. If you smoke and you have bad skin, it probably won’t improve unless you quit or lessen the dosage.

Level 3: painful consistent breakouts/acne/scars, redness, irritability, hurts,

Go see a dermatologist!

Acne is can be a real problem. If your acne is painful seek professional help.

If Accutane is recommended, than I would do it. Based only on the experiences of my friends, I have seen great results after a couple months. There are side effects and it is not for everyone but if a professional says you should than I might consider it.

No topical treatment is going to make those scars go away. You are going to need to laser resurfacing which is like this secret treatment rich people do to clear up their skin. It is expensive but really works. Beauty brands want you to think that the right cream can clear up your skin but if you have bad scarring you are only going to see real results with laser treatments

All of the above recommendations still apply

Your acne does not take away from your beauty or your worth as a human being. Remember that acne is normal and social media is fake.

folks here are the lip products i think voltron wear + allura

lance: my boy is a laniege lip mask KING. he owns seven flavors and bought strawberry and pink lemonade separately so he wouldnt have to mess up the swirl. also i think hes very fond of lip oils because theyre lighter than lip gloss and not as sticky but still give him a nice color and shine

keith: chapstick user ONLY. i think specifically he uses the burts bees w pomegranate oil it just smells medicinal and he thought that would cure the sahara desert called his mouth

pidge: SAYS she doesnt use anything frilly or even chapstick but secretly there is a drawer in her lab with a tube of carmex strawberry and when shes feeling fancy the glittery lipsmackers lipgloss (real thing and i LOVE them)

hunk: this guy strikes me as a guy that grew up in a house were everything they COULD make they would so his lip care consists of a balm his mama made and that shit works WONDERS. like it could cure the grand canyon. but if i had to assign him a lip product he seems like a standard carmex king

shiro: shiro will deny it until the day he dies but hes got like high end skincare and makeup. says he uses carmex but really i think he has a single laniege lip mask and every so often wears an inconspicuous shade of fenty gloss bomb because its pretty and no ones gonna say shit to dad

allura: alteans Obviously had their own skin and lip care but 10000 years later that shit is dust in the wind. i think allura is a lover of the tarte maracuja lip gloss specifically in the shade passion fruit its a nice deep purple-red. but she also steals shiro’s fenty lipgloss because “voltron is a communist society” (pidge told her that one and now its her reasoning for all theft on the castle)

i want to send a pic of my beat so bad but honestly speaking im a wimp who will NAWT be doing a face reveal BUT i will say i do get compliments on my makeup semi often and esp on my base!!!! 🙈💋

now i will warn u i am NOT a clean girl makeup girly or very natural beat at all so just letting u know i use A LOT more than most ppl i would assume use

ok lets gooo:

skincare prep: use facial cleanser (cerave hydrating or the ordinary hydrating cleanser) to wash face w either lukewarm or cold tapwater. let face air dry or use clean facial towel (i just use a mini towel) to dry face by patting the skin gently a few times max. use toner (some by mi aha bha pha toner) by patting it on face. give 30 secsish to dry. now put on moisturizer (laniege water face mask or cerave hydrating moisturizer or the face shop rice ceramide moisturizer). put on sunscreen (olay 30spf moisturizer sunscreen).

then use primer (elf hydro grip pink or blue works)

onto base: use foundation/cc cream/tinted serum depending on ur preference (f: clio kill cover mesh. cc cream: elf camo. tinted serum: loreal true match). i blend using a damp beauty blender. then i (excessively) use atleast 2-3 concealers of different shades. starting w the darkest to even out my skin tone (the body shop), medium to give more coverage (loreal instant age rewind eraser), and lightest to lighten my undereyes and other areas i like to be highlighted (peripera double longwear cover or focallure liquid concealer both from YesStyle). blend all three after each one w a beauty blender. i then use a setting spray to keep my base in place (i use the milani make it last but i do NOT recc it 🙁).

blush: yet again i am excessive w this 😜 i like looking like my crush just winked at me and i cannot handle the attention 24/7. i start w a matte blush/tint (nyx powder puff lippie or peripera ink airy velvet) then blend w my fingers. after i use a glowy blush (elf halo glow) and blend w my fingers again. lastly i "set" w a powder blush (etude cookie blush).

eyes: during my base routine i add all components from foundation to concealer on my eyes, so i blend out any excess using my fingers and even it out. i then use a white or nude eyeshadow to lighten my entire eye from the undereye to below my eyebrow bone (mac discontinued hello kitty palette or colorpop baby got peach palette...slightly pinky nude or full on white is my vibe). i go in p hard in the underye bc i like my undereye looking like ive slept 99 hours in the past wk alone. then i use any eyeshadow i want to create any kind of look, usually to match my outfit or the days vibe. i like colorpop, too faced, mac, jaclyn hill, and juvias place palettes the most. after the eyeshadow is complete i go in w a setting powder (juvias place) w a heavy hand. i also go in w powder under blush area (below cheekbone), upper lip, chin, and forhead. i let that sit all the way until im done w my lips. after placing powder w powder puff, i do eyeliner w eyeshadow of any previously mentioned palettes. i then curl my lashes, put on mascara (hourglass caution extreme lash or telescopic blue tube), and curl again. i then clean up any mascara w more eyeshadow or concealer then eyeshadow if its p bad. i then place highlighter (colorpop shock) under my brow bone.

highlighter: i use the colorpop highlighter on my nose and cupids bow. then i use a bright pink highlighter (stick w me lol ik it sounds weird) (zeesea purple 9 color eyeshadow palette) on my cheekbone and nose.

lips: three steps: liner, tint, gloss. lip liner from elf to line my exact lip shape (sometimes i round out my cupids bow if its a cutesy look). lip tint from peripera to color my lips and keep the color on for a long time or elf o satin face lip stick to do the same thing. blend out w fingers after smacking lips together. then top w gloss/lip oil (nyx butter gloss, nyx fat lip oil, ecosoul lip oil, kopari gloss, maybelline lifter gloss, hello kitty lip smacker gloss).

blend out all powder on face and set w shitty milani setting spray

WHEW MY HANDS HURTTTT

but tbh i do sm bc i love makeup and have sm fun w it. tho w using this much ik im lucky to not have acne prone skin or skin that treats makeup like a parasite. i often take 2-4 day breaks when i have days off school and or weekends which helps. not to mention i use toner pads (numbuzin no.5) once to twice a wk and use a face mask (from any brand that use food ingredients as a main ingredient) weekly.
