Quick interest check for a project I'm currently considering!

I've been given an assignment in one of my studio classes regarding ephemeral (nonpermanent) art and have had an idea that requires a bit of community involvement.

To keep it basic, my idea involves opening a public Minecraft server for a short period of time (somewhere between 3-5 hours is my current estimate) and recording through the whole duration to document what people use that time to do. Essentially, seeing what kind of things people choose to do or create in a survival sandbox like Minecraft when they know in advance that their time in the world is extremely limited.

I would set up a discord server in advance for those interested to get more information and to connect with other players before the opening, meaning that if you wanted to you could plan in advance as a group.

The server would likely be advertised here, to a few people/groups I know IRL, and in a local campus discord server or two. I would leave it open for anyone involved to invite others. So, you would be playing with strangers.

The server will be vanilla. I'm debating between using in game proximity chat or just letting people use voice chat in the discord at the moment. Obviously using VC wouldn't be required, but I want it to be available.

I would be spectating and recording the event. A ~10 minute compilation of the events of the server would be made for me to turn in for the assignment and would be shown to the class. There is a possibility that compilation or a longer one may end up online afterwards. Anyone else who participates would be free to record, and obviously if anyone wanted to send me their footage to possibly be included in the final edit that would be great

You could do whatever you wanted with the time given. Organize a speedrunning group. Race to kill the dragon. Raid an Ancient City. Work on a build you haven't had an opportunity to use in other servers. Create some weird art. Organize a civilization. Hide in a cave the whole time. Roleplay. Create a fight club. Kill unsuspecting players. Just play casual Minecraft with some friends. Literally whatever.

This would likely be happening somewhere near the 2nd half of this month so that I had time to edit down the footage for class before the end of the semester

Read Right to Left (Manga Format)

I have returned to watching demon slayer after a year and it came up while I was having a serious late night talk with my big sister. I was talking about the relationship between Michikatsu/Kokushibo and Yoriichi and it turns out we both see each other in Yoriichi's shoes and ourselves in Michikatsu's place. Definitely surprising, but really relieving to know that we both worry too much and we are not so far apart in skill as we believe.

This is technically the first piece of fanart I've ever made for the characters in Demon Slayer, I have made OCs before but I never drew an actual character from the story. For context this is mostly just a fun "what if" scenario with them meeting in the afterlife. I like to think Yoriichi's love would reawaken Michikatsu's humanity.

its actually not an ask it's an idea that came to me as i was going to bed the other day of an arcane-adjacent universe where things aren't as bad as they are in the canon arcane universe but still there are like tensions between piltover and zaun, right. (but everyone is alive, thank gods)

and vi, being who she is, gets roped into being a 'liaison' between the two cities (by cait, who is the warden like she is canonically in league) so she gets assigned to show you, by all accounts, a nepo-baby inventor from one of the rich merchant clans, who's enrolled in the academy, around the undercity for a day. as a show of good diplomatic relations.

she's kinda annoyed, but knows it has to be her (otherwise mYLO or CLAGGOR will do it and it'll end up being a disaster). so when she meets you outside the academy gates, she's already decided that she doesn't really like you -- you with your prim little outfit and your gold-gilded umbrella, hooked around your arm.

but jayce assures her that you're more than meets the eye, and that you're one of the most promising talents the graduating class has to offer, to which vi only rolls her eyes. but powder wants to get into the academy next year (and ekko's already been admitted for the fall) so she's gotta play nice.

still, she's shocked when you turn out to be way more than meets the eye -- and your umbrella, if you can even call that thing an umbrella, with all it's weird gadgets and tricks, turns out to be just as surprising as you are (there's a thin longsword hidden in the handle, just as a sneak peak), and you're much more capable of handling yourself than she'd initially imagined.

maybe this day won't turn out to be such a drag afterall.

and. the fact that you're really, really cute? yeah. that doesn't hurt either.
