oh and also Lalter has so much wasted potential she's so *interesting* and yet nobody does *shit* with her! Like, leaving aside the dragon and wild hunt shit (though as someone with an irl interest in folklore and myth, both are interesting angles for her), I also find she's a neat angle character wise: She's a version of Artoria "I will literally die before I ever allow myself become a proper human being" Pendragon who *chose* to become human! Do you know the kind of concepts and character exploration you can go with from that premise alone?! And yet?! NOTHING! ZILCH! NADA! GAAAAAH! anyways yee i'll get out of your inbox now.

Conceptually, Lalter is the most interesting version of Artoria bar none.

For all my bitterness and bad faith towards Nasu, I genuinely cannot figure out why he so routinely not just shafts her but seems to actively, spitefully do so.

And after lostbelt 6, it honestly feels like the only explanation that even comes close to explaining it is the possibility of some sort of weird and extreme anti-celtic racism that drives his decisions regarding her, as if he wanted to shove all the welsh/celtic origins of Arthurian myth into one character who he could then shove out the airlock never do more than tacitly acknowledge again.

Anyways, this is why rewriting Lostbelt 2 to be about Lalter was my real start in rewriting this shitshow, long before Lb5 let alone 7 (the one i've actually been public about rewriting)
