leo's biblically accurate subway room
here are some of my mental notes while workin' on leo's room:
(note that everything subway-lair related drawn/written by me is made with the idea that the family has lived in the lair for at least a year = the spaces are more established and lived in.)
a subway car is BIG. even if there is a lot of room, it's unlikely leo would fill out the entire car = he'd have a more established corner (it's also more likely that the entire family is more comfortable with smaller spaces having come from the sewers = they'd try to recreate that).
leo is messy and loves reading comic books. he'd want more shelf space to neatly and proudly display his comic book collectiosn (as well as any and all awards he'd gotten). some of the collectibles he may have been able to salvage from the old lair while some of it is new.
leo has a small tv with VHS tapes. tv used to be propped on a seat next to the bed but i moved it on top of the arcade machine for max comfort and laziness.
leo's bed is propped half on the sub's seats as well as a wooden blank that sits on cinder blocks. there's very little room under the bed itself. i shoved a couple of boxes underneath for storage.
the right end of the subway is an open walk-in-closet kind of situation. there's a folding screen and a mirror - and of course a collection of clothes (some neatly tucked away while some just thrown about the area). there's a lone polaroid picture pinned on the mirror.
the doors in the back (the ones with an orange-tint) lead to another subway car nex to leo's that he can walk through to access the other side of the station. see my earlier layout for the subway lair to get a better understanding what i mean by this.
i wasn't sure if to add graffiti in his room but that'd probably be on the emptier side of the subway car. he'd definitely have fun spraypainting the space together with mikey. hmm yea, maybe graffiti would be smth that gets added later in the future. (i'm also realizing i forgot to add anything related to skating but yea, imagine there was a skateboard somewhere, huh).
all in all, a messy guy except for when it comes to his collectibles

It would be hilarious to read a fic where Eddie, venom, and Deadpool tried to hold a decent conversation while trying to get to know each other's back story. That's all.

Speaking of weird things in the season already, I'm back with the obsession with names of things in the seasonal activity.
So in Riven's Lair, you get randomly assigned "missions" that change with each run. I believe there's five of them as I've played a lot of Riven's Lair so far and only got these five to rotate. Maybe there will be more in weeks to come!
Anyway, if you look in the top left corner when you start the activity, it will tell you the name of the mission you're on. The names that I've seen so far are:
Polysemy
Apophasis
Synchysis
Enthymeme
Tautology
Long post under:
These aren't random words! They're all related to language and rhetoric, which makes sense with the Ahamkara theme as Ahamkara are very dependent on the way language is used around them.
Polysemy is when words or symbols are capable of having multiple meanings. Apophasis is when you speak about something by denying it or mentioning it by saying it's not required to be mentioned (def check examples on wikipedia if this is confusing). Synchysis is also a way of speaking in a way that deliberately messes up the order of words to confuse or surprise the person you're speaking to. Enthymeme is a type of an argument where you construct a sentence which tells some sort of a fact by omitting the way you came to that conclusion because the fact should be obvious on its own (again, check wiki for examples, it will be easier to understand). And tautology has a meaning in both language and logic; in language, a tautology is a statement that repeats something, adding redundant information and in logic, a tautology is a logical formula in which a sentence is constructed in a way that every interpretation of the sentence is true.
I doubt these words were chosen randomly and there might be more or perhaps more will cycle in during weeks to come. But even with just this, there's a pattern. I'm not sure which meaning of tautology is being used here; possibly the language one because it fits the rest, but the logic interpretation could also be possible.
The first week's mission was also specifically Polysemy:
I assume next weeks we'll probably do other specific ones in some order, which would also mean there should be at least 2 more. I'm wondering if there's some sort of a reason why these specific words were chosen. Obviously they all relate to forms of speaking and language which is the primary way that Ahamkara use to affect reality; speaking in specific terminology and using particular phrases and language forms is important to them and when speaking to them.
But given the involvement of the Vex, it also reminded me of the lore book Aspect in which every chapter is named after grammatical, linguistic and logic terms. Aspect is also specifically related to the Black Garden and Sol Divisive. Not only that, but Aspect deals with, among other things, the fate of the Ishtar scientists and their copies in the Vex Network, and primarily uses Chioma as their main viewpoint, and the whole situation with Neomuna and Veil Logs has returned my interest in this lore book.
I feel like it isn't a coincidence that we've spent essentially the entire year reacquainting ourselves with Chioma and Maya and Ishtar as a whole only to bring back Sol Divisive and the Black Garden back in the final season in this way. As the Veil Logs told us, one of Maya's copies interfered with one of the logs, sending signals, and Chioma, at the end of her life, contacted the Vex presumably to be consumed by the network so she could possibly reunite with one of the copies of Maya in there.
This brought me also to the mysterious signal from Scatter Signal lore tab in which Osiris tracks down some sort of a signal that seems to be talking about the Vex, but spoken in a strange way. So I began thinking that this signal might be coming from Chioma, consumed by the Vex, from the Vex Network, reaching out to the man who's been studying her, living in Neomuna and researching the Veil for months. Specifically, the final Veil Log mentioned a few similar words and phrases being repeated. Specifically, when Osiris mentions that Chioma was researching "the entaglement of Light and Dark" and when Nimbus and Osiris discuss "parallel connections and parallel energy fields;" then in the Scatter Signal message there's mention of how, presumably, the Vex are trying to "move from parallel to entanglement." The Veil Log also talks about how the Witness can communicate through our Ghosts and how that connection might be going both ways; Scatter Signal also mentions "bridging communion with a Voice."
Copies of Chioma and the other scientists (with the help of Praedyth) once tried to use the Black Garden to send a message out of the Vex Network, detailed in Aspect. We don't know if they succeeded (at least in our current timeline). The Black Garden has been a big focus in Lightfall almost out of nowhere in such an immensely world-changing way (with the explanation of the Black Heart), and it will still be important this season with the exotic mission. It's a very pleasing loop of the story; everything started with the Black Garden in D1 and everything just before TFS might end with it. I'm also incredibly intrigued by the fact that the returning weapons from Undying (a season about the Sol Divisive and the Black Garden) have returned with a new perk called nano-munitions: very Neomuna-sounding name. Perhaps certain Ishtar scientists are influencing the Vex or extending a helping hand to us.
The questions that remain: how does this tie back to the Ahamkara? Why are the Vex interested in the Ahamkara? What do the Ahamkara have to do with the Black Garden? What's with all the strange language terminology that deals with double meanings and ways to confuse? Is it just regular Ahamkara shenanigans to trick us? To trick the Vex? Maybe both?
The point is, I don't think this is as simple as Riven just being sad that all the Ahamkara are dead and wanting to secure her clutch. Nothing is ever simple with the Ahamkara and nothing is ever simple with the Vex; and now we're dealing with both. And somewhere in all of this, there is also a concerning involvement of the Black Garden that connects to both of these elements. At the end of it all, there's us, who rely on this specific combination of elements to get through the portal, pursue the Witness and save the universe.
Spreading the brain worms to the rest of y'all to think about. If you spot any other mission names, feel free to share, though I think that if they happen, they might happen in the coming weeks. Also as I mentioned before, I know there's been leaks and lore tabs unlocking early on Ishtar: I've not seen any leaks or cutscenes and have not read any lore tabs that aren't explicitly visible in-game so if there's a really simple answer in that leaked material, I don't know about it and don't want to know about it so please don't spoil to me or to others!
#destiny 2#destiny 2 spoilers#season of the wish#season of the wish spoilers#ahamkara#vex#black garden#lore vibing#long post#it took me a few runs to notice the names in riven's lair ngl. i was not paying attention to that at all#it was a few runs in when i realised there's weird words as 'missions' and then remembered polysemy being the first separate one#and whenever there's words like this they're there for a reason. they weren't picked randomly#it's so interesting to try and decipher why the writers chose those in particular#if anyone has any other ideas for them feel free to speculate!#also getting the feeling that the vex are taking a crack at paracausality#therefore their interest in the ahamkara. perhaps even taking a crack at also following through the portal#whatever they're doing it can't be good. i'm going insane#if anything. it's setup for them being a big threat post-TFS

« As a kid I was the weird girl that collected bones and visited the local cemetery as her idea of fun. I have always been a lover of horror, the macabre and of course, villains. I don’t take myself very seriously and you shouldn’t either, but don’t talk about history to me. Besides videogames and writing, my other interests include art, guitar and of course, reading. After almost 800h in Baldur’s Gate I just narrowed my focus on the one and only Enver Gortash. My relationship with him is the same as I have with the game in general; a love/hate relationship because I waste too much time thinking. »

Summer of Bad Batch Week 5
"You're a bad liar"

Word Count: 641
Tags: swearing, comfort, trauma, mentions of Tech's death, mentions of death

Crosshair kicked the rocks along the sand, watching them skitter into the dunes and the water. Why did he have to feel like this now. Suppressing his emotions was a skill he had mastered, so why now did they reappear all of a sudden. Why was he out here cussing out the wind and kicking away his feelings in the form of stones on the beach.
It was his fault. Of course it was, it always was. Tech was gone, and it was because they had come looking for him. They wanted to rescue him and it got Tech killed and Omega captured. She had to endure the same torture that he did and it was all his fault.
He was so angry. So bloody angry. It was all his fucking fault and he couldn’t do anything about it. He couldn’t bring Tech back, and he couldn’t fix what had happened to Omega. He wanted to scream, to shout, to yell but it wouldn’t make anything better.
So instead, he skulked along the beach as the sun sunk low. Trying to let his pain and his feelings die with the last light of the day. But they wouldn’t, just like the son they would rise again. Come back with full force that would envelop him like the sun’s rays.
Kicked the sea foam sending a spray of water up with it and covering his pants in salt and the sea. Over and over he just asked himself “Why?” Why was it always him that caused these things to happen. He got his brothers in trouble when they were cadets for always starting fights, he got them locked in the lockup after their failed mission from Tarkin, he got Omega caught by Hemlock and taken to Tantis and he had gotten Tech killed.
He was the reason his family was broken, he was the reason Omega was missing a brother. He was the reason all their life had gone to shit. It was only thanks to Hunter that they were able to have some semblance of a life now. And he was likely to fuck it up again.
He spun around ready to storm off to the other end of the beach when he was met with Omega standing a few feet behind him. He jumped out of his skin, as Omega stood there with a smile on her face. It wasn’t like her usual smile. The one that met her eyes, it was sad, and small.
“Kid, what are you doing out here?”
“I was following you”
‘As blunt as always’ he thought
“Why? Shouldn’t you be back at the house?”
“Yes…but I couldn’t find you so I went looking for you…is everything ok?”
“Everything’s fine Omega”
She tilted her head at him, sussing him out “You’re a bad liar, you know that?”
He rolled his eyes, great. It was like cadet Hunter all over again, with his powers of deduction and secret emotional sixth sense. He was sure Hunter had trained Omega to keep an eye on him or something
“It’s nothing, and even if it was something I wouldn’t tell you” He cringes at his own harshness, he didn’t want to be this rude to Omega, but if he let her in. He doesn’t know what would come out.
Omega doesn’t seem deterred by his gruffness, she’s had more than enough years to adjust to it.
“You don’t have to talk to me about it…but I know you won’t talk to anyone else about it. So if you ever change your mind, come find me. Ok?”
He smiles sadly. Looking down at Omega was is still smiling up at him.
“And anyway, dinners ready, come eat. Wrecker made fruit salad and sushi”
She takes him by the hand and leads him off the beach back up to their home.

“…ould we wake them?” A low voice slowly drew Supervillain from their slumber. Buoying between sleep and wakefulness, Supervillain managed to gather their wits before they moved, realizing the weight pressing against their one side as a person slumped against them.
Their eyes slid toward the sound the voice had come from, their ears pricking at the whispered reply of uncertainty.
“I would advise against that if you value your lives,” Supervillain hissed under their breath, finally finding Medic and Right Hand in the darkened living room. As the pair gaped at them, Supervillain turned their attention to slowly disengaging themselves from Civilian’s sleeping form, praying they wouldn’t wake as they managed to maneuver away from them and set a pillow under them in their place.
Stepping away from the makeshift bed, Supervillain’s gaze lingered a moment longer than they should’ve allowed just to be sure that Civilian hadn’t woken. Satisfied they’d managed to escape without waking them, Supervillain turned to motion for their associates to follow them.
Right Hand’s eyes held a teasing glimmer that made their blood boil. They met their gaze with a hard glare. Clenching their jaw, Supervillain ignored them and strode past them both toward the hallway.
Once they were all safely out in the frigid hallway and the door to their private quarters shut firmly to ensure Civilian didn’t hear them, Supervillain grumbled, “Not a word to anyone, or I’ll kill you both.”
“Hey, say no more,” Right Hand said, an amused lilt to their voice, “but before I let this go, I just have to ask, you couldn’t get away before?”
Supervillain sighed. Exasperation eased the tension from their shoulders. “I couldn’t. Civilian is like a cat, I couldn’t just push them off.”
Medic hummed. “Tell that to your heart rate.”
“Did you two come here just to gamble with your lives, or do you actually have something of importance needing my attention?” Supervillain crossed their arms over their chest and morphed their appearance in what many considered to be their true face: a pinched face that wasn’t altogether unpleasing to look at but also not conventionally handsome. It seemed to unsettle people, and that’s what Supervillain liked about it. It put people on edge until they decided whether or not he was too seedy to be around or somehow beautiful enough to fall for their rouse.
But in reality, they knew Right Hand hated watching them shapeshift. Medic didn’t seemed too fazed by it anymore, but even they got the message.
Barely meeting their gaze, Right Hand offered them a thin file folder. “This is a short-list of any supers who might could use their abilities to stalk someone, as well as some suspected stalkers in Civilian’s area the police couldn’t never quite prove without a doubt were guilty, barely finding circumstantial evidence against them.”
Supervillain accepted the file, slightly disheartened at how thin it was. But then again, maybe that was a blessing in and of itself. Now they only had handful of suspects instead of a whole pool. If they could prove a link between any of these supers and Civilian, they’d have found their stalker and could take care of it.
They flipped through the file, scanning the pages of the profiles Right Hand had pulled containing information like the supers’ civilian name, their hero or villain name if they had one, their powers, and any other information they’d gathered on them. As they did, they stopped on a page and gave it a hard look, their eyebrow arching.
“Why is Mirth included on here?” Annoyance flared in their bloodstream.
Medic snickered, “Probably cause Right Hand fancies her.”
“Uh-huh, but that still doesn’t answer my question, now does it?”
“It sort of does,” Medic mumbled at the same time as Right Hand stuttered, “Well, she does have powers that would aid in—”
Supervillain cut them off with a shake of their head. They snapped the file closed and pinched the bridge of their nose with their free hand. “That might be true but do you honestly believe that Mirth of all heroes capable of stalking someone and sending threatening messages?”
Medic and Right Hand shared a glance.
“When you put it like that,” Right Hand said slowly, “no, but I figured after what she did to Other Supervillain, maybe she was worth considering.”
“She operated halfway across the country.”
Medic raised their hands like they were surrendering. “I tried to tell them but they wouldn’t listen.”
“Right,” Supervillain drawled, opening the file once more and plucking Mirth’s profile and handing it back to Right Hand. “In any case, this is a good start. Have you found out anything about Civilian’s connections and if their stalker is someone they do know?”
“I’m still looking into it and cross-referencing what I’ve found with our data and anything I can hack into, but so far nothing. Civilian’s associates all check out.”
Supervillain sagged with relief. Catching themselves, they straightened and cleared their throat. “Report to me immediately if you find anything. I’ll get this to my contact in the city.”
“Oh? And who might that be?” Right Hand’s brows raised.
“None of your concern. I made a bargain and that’s all you need to know at the moment.”
Medic kicked Right Hand in the shin before they could say anything more. “All right then. I’ll be back in the morning to check on Civilian. In the meantime, I’ll keep Right Hand out of trouble.”
“And you’re doing a great job of it,” Supervillain said dryly, not bothering to keep their voice down. How these two had become their closest confidants they’ll never wholly understand. Shaking their head, Supervillain took a step toward their chamber door, glad for the second alone. Their body flushed with heat. Their skin crawled, stretching and pulling and shrinking back into place as they shifted back into the image Civilian knew them as. Already their mind was thinking of a plan to catch their stalker, regardless of what their intelligence gathering could grant them. But first, they needed a shower and some breakfast, some time to clear their head before Civilian inevitably woke up and needed to be looked after.
***
Civilian stretched, not bothering to open their eyes. Wood smoke tickled their nose. A fire crackled somewhere close to them. By all means, between the atmosphere beyond their closed eyes and the warmth surrounding them, it was the most at peace they’d felt in days even accounting for the ache that blanketed their whole body.
Slowly, they willed their eyes to peel open and stay open. Civilian frowned. Their addled mind couldn’t place the wood paneled wall or the floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace. Neither could they remember ever owning a fur blanket—or so many blankets—and they certainly didn’t think they’d sleep anywhere but their bed.
Sitting up, Civilian glanced around, their eyes lingering on each little detail as they tried to wipe the cobwebs from their mind.
A spark shuddered through them. Supervillain. The storm. The old ski lodge.
Groaning, Civilian sank back into the bed of blankets and furs, pulling a blanket over their head and curling up. They just wanted a moment. Or better yet, a complete break from reality. Just for a little while, they silently pleaded with whatever universal powers would listen and take pity on them.
Soft footsteps reached their ears, as did the slight creak of the floorboards. Willing themselves to peel the blanket away from their face and peek out at the world to see who was coming, Civilian was immediately met with the curious gaze of Supervillain.
“Good morning?” they said, their lips quirked in a bemused smile.
Despite themselves, Civilian groaned and brought the blanket back up over their head, praying that Supervillain would just leave them alone.
“Ah, so it’s that kind of day. Well, I was just about to make breakfast and I expect Medic will be around shortly to check in on you. You’re welcome to pretend you don’t exist if that’s what you want. I, on the other hand, will be making waffles.”
Civilian bit their lip, tempted by the promise of food but not entirely willing to leave their cocoon. Hesitantly, they asked, “Do I have to get up?”
Supervillain’s chuckle was like thunder to their ears. “Not if you don’t want to. I’ll bring you a plate when they’re ready.”
“Thank you.” Civilian turned their face into the soft bedroll beneath them as though it could swallow them whole and actually hide them from the world, but alas, it left them alone and feeling utterly exposed.
Supervillain hummed in acknowledgement but remained silent. The only other indication of their presence was the soft footsteps that faded away toward where Civilian had gathered the kitchen was.
A burst of static turned Civilian’s heart beat into a frenzy. And then it was gone and the room was silent again except for the frantic beating of Civilian’s heart between their ears.
“Damn,” they heard Supervillain mutter. A little louder they said, “Sorry about that. I didn’t realize I’d left the radio on so loud, or that the storm had knocked out the weather station. The blizzard’s stopped though, so as soon as Medic says you’re fit to travel, we could probably take the snow mobiles back to your retreat here on the mountain. That is if you want to.”
Civilian took a long breath in through their nose. Realizing there was no sense in outrunning the day, they sat up and let the blanket fall to their lap. “And what about my stalker? Are…Does your offer to help still stand?”
“My team and I already compiled a list of supers who possess powers that could definitely lend themselves to being a difficult stalker to catch. I haven’t heard from my…associate in the city yet. I imagine they have their hands full with the blizzard now.”
Civilian nodded. Drawing their legs up to their chest, they threaded their fingers through their hair and meant to let their head rest in the hand. They quickly pulled their hand away from their hair in disgust. They couldn’t remember the last time they’d washed their hair, but they definitely needed to today.
A distant knock and the subsequent pause in Supervillain’s preparation of the waffles broke them from their pining after a shower and a fresh set of clothes.
“And that’s probably Medic now,” Supervillain sighed.
Sure enough, a moment later Civilian was greeted by the person who’d woke them from their fitful slumber last night or yesterday.
“Hello again,” they said, offering them a soft smile. “I’m Medic, though you probably already know that. Sorry about yesterday, I didn’t mean to startle you. Is it okay if I come a little closer?”
Civilian nodded, watching their slow movements as Medic set their medical bag on the edge of the bed beside them and came to stand before them.
“So, how are you feeling?” they asked.
“Okay…” Civilian said, still watching them warily.
Medic nodded. Civilian expected some form of condescension to mar their features or crinkle their eyes, but Medic remained completely calm and open. “Any aches or pain anywhere?”
“Yeah. My entire body aches.”
“Do you still feel cold?”
“Uh,” Civilian paused, considering the question for a second before they answer. “No, not anymore.”
“That’s great,” Medic beamed. “All right then the only left to do is check your vitals and then I’ll be out of your hair. Is that okay with you.”
Civilian nodded, a little more at ease than they were previously. Maybe they shouldn’t have been but Medic didn’t seem to have a threatening bone in their body—and the aroma of waffles wafting through the room was starting to make Civilian’s mouth water.
Medic walked them through everything they did before bringing out their instruments, something Civilian was grateful for and suspected Medic did on purpose so they wouldn’t startle them. After listening to their lungs and checking their eyes, Medic placed the blood pressure cuff on them and inflated it.
After a moment, they removed it and packed everything away.
“So your blood pressure is a little elevated, though nothing to be concerned about given the circumstances.” They tilted their head, frowning. “You don’t have a history of high blood pressure, do you?”
Civilian shook their head.
Medic nodded slowly. “Then it’s definitely just a result of recent stress factors. Do you have any questions for me?”
“No…wait,” Civilian started, “can I take a shower?”
Medic shrugged. “If you’re up for it, I don’t see why not. Try not to make it too hot though. Your body temperature is stable, but I wouldn’t want you to shock your system again so soon after your prolonged exposure to the cold.”
“Okay.”
With a word of goodbye, Medic left and Supervillain soon took their place, a plate of waffles in their hand.
“There’s more in the kitchen if you want some,” they offered.
“Thanks,” Civilian said, eagerly accepting the warm plate.
“When you’re done, I’ll show you to the bathroom. It’s adjoined to my bedroom so…” Supervillain trailed off. Their gaze dropped to their feet. “We’re still working on getting the power restored to the main parts of the building, so unless you want to brave the frigid hallways, the en suite’s the closest one to us.”
Civilian bobbed their head. “That’s fine. I mean, I don’t want to impose, or impose anymore than I already have, I just want to—”
“It’s fine, and you’re really not imposing,” Supervillain assured them softly. “I’ll try and find some fresh clothes that’ll fit you in the meantime.”
Civilian nodded, watching them as they walked off down the hallway that would inevitably lead to their bedroom. More and more, they didn’t know what to think of their savior or what their motivations might be. But at least there was one thing they were certain of: they were really good at making waffles and pancakes, so even if they were their stalker, at least Civilian had gotten something good out of the whole situation.
Not all they had to do was figure out how to leave this place, and just who they could trust if not Supervillain and their team.
Their waffles provided them no insight other than the comfort of a happy appetite. By the time they’d finished, Supervillain was back and informed them that they’d left a change of clothes in the bathroom for them for when they wanted them. With no time like the present, Civilian begrudgingly stood from the bed on weak legs. Carefully wrapping a blanket around themselves like it could shield them, Civilian trailed after Supervillain as they led the way to most luxurious bathroom they’d ever seen. Civilian greedily eyed the free standing soaker tub, realizing that maybe a good soak would do them a world of good that a shower just couldn’t possibly do.
Supervillain left, and for the first time in days, Civilian felt as though they were truly alone.
The feeling didn’t stop them for searching as much of the bathroom as they could reach for any signs of cameras though. They doubted the paranoia of being stalked would ever leave them, but for one fleeting moment as they lowered themselves into the warm water of the tub, they thought maybe in time, they’d overcome it.

Reading the W.I.T.C.H. reboot, rewrite time!
Overall… there were some interesting things here and there but… no, it’s not good. The pacing is too fast and it looks like a whole arc compressed into 100 pages. These are the changes I’d make:
-Keep all the original designs but add some new details (for the parents, mostly).
-Cornelia is the one that tutors Will.
-I liked it more when each one had a different passion.
-Taranee is like a nerd. We need more nerdy girls. And she retains her personality.
-Maybe she’s just moved too and Corny shows the high school to both of them.
-Elyon dreams about her mother and, one day at the library, meets Cedric.
-He says she’s from the Metamoor and her mother is waiting for her. He gives her something, maybe a magic crystal, so she can see through the Veil.
-Elyon wants to tell Cornelia about it, but Corny is busy tutoring Will and Taranee. They agree to meet after school.
-Kandrakar is looking for the new guardians and the Oracle thinks Will is worthy.
-Cornelia’s sister can stay. She’s the reason she tries too hard to be perfect in everything. But, also, she hates being compared to her.
-Irma can still hate the water and Hay Lin can be working to gain money to… guess what? Her grandmother is living with them. She just wants to go to China to meet her distant relatives and get to learn more about her culture.
-Will hears Matt playing the guitar while she’s cleaning her new bedroom and that’s how they meet.
-Cornelia stays more time with Will and Taranee because the Knickerbocher tells her to not leave them alone. Irma and Hay Lin go to school to help with the school fair or something and see them. Cornelia introduces them and goes to talk to Elyon.
-Elyon tells Cornelia about what she has discovered and Cornelia doesn’t believe it. Elyon says she’s leaving soon.
-Will feels a headache when she sees Elyon. It’s like she has a bad aura or so.
-The five girls connect immediately and make plans to go to the school thing together.
-Instead of finding the floating things, Will just enters Kandrakar as she goes home. The Oracle explains everything to her and gives her the Heart. Will has a crisis because she doesn’t think she’s good enough. The Oracle says she’ll have to give the others their powers.
-Will tries to meet them and explain what happened. The girls think they’re crazy. However, Hay Lin, who thinks there’s something out there, asks her to continue. Cornelia then blurts out about what Elyon told her.
-They receive their powers but they’d have to unlock them.
-Elyon and Cedric are trying to open a portal. The magical energy disrupts the whole city. The WITCH find out how to use their powers by helping with the situation. They can’t transform yet.
-They reunite again to talk about Elyon. Cornelia wants to help her. Will tries to ask the Oracle, who tells her they have to protect a lot of worlds now, and Elyon going back to the Metamoor would be a good thing.
-They find Elyon and Cedric and let them know they’re going to help. Cedric says not only they have to open the portal, but when the Veil is broken, lots of creatures from different worlds can come into theirs, so they have to be ready.
-They use their new-discovered powers to open a portal. Immediately, a lot of monsters appear. Cedric transforms and tells Elyon all the people from the Metamoor can change. Will feels the Heart bursting with energy.
-The girls transform and fight the creatures.
-Elyon says goodbye to them but they’re the Guardians now, they’ll see each other soon. The Oracle appears and thanks them.
-The girls feel a little better about their lives now that they have powers. But a new threat approaches…

sharing some details i have had bouncing in my head with this specified area in the subway lair layout i'd drawn :)
a lot of the arcade machines got destroyed in the old lair, thus diminishing the boys' large game collection. a handful of these game machines can be seen scattered about the subway lair in the movie, though i believe this to be temporary for the most part ("we're just moving in so just put it wherever for now" kinda vibe). after the events of the movie, most (if not all) of the arcade machines would have instead been moved to a more designated area to spare anyone the headache of having to find that one specific game you wanna place at an odd corner in the home.
the layout i'd been planning is meant to be more established and overall feel more lived (maybe one to two years in after the second season). i had mikey spraypaint ⭐ glow-in-the-dark stars ⭐ over the arcade floor as to mimic the traditional arcade carpets!! of course, other surface areas were not spared from graffiti either, with my favorite one being "loser buys pizza" on one of the arcade machines (a near unnecessary mention, honestly, but very important a detail to me).
i fought with the idea of bringing back in the DDR game as its screen got smashed in season 2... (even though you'd think it'd be easily replacable). maybe the boys will get a new one in the near future, if at all. OH, and for access points, you got the stairs for one... but you can also walk through a pair of subway cars from the "bedroom" side!! (leo, for example, has access to two separate subway cars from his own, meaning he can walk in from either side of the arcade. other family members tend to walk through unoccupied cars instead of walking through leo's (unless they wanted to be annoying and/or say smth as they walked through)).
ALL IN ALL not too many details after all tbh but i'm more of a show-don't-tell kinda person anyway... so, hopefully the illustrations carry more details than my explaining does :)
#embracing my bg art -era#ideal future is where i draw each space/area separately and do a little ramble like this u_u#but we'll see...................#artists and writers!!!! FEEL FREE TO USE for reference!!!#feel free to ask questions and or throw in ideas btw i love brainstorming little details#miiukkart#rottmnt#rottmnt subway lair reference

Crazy Fic Crossover idea
I am thinking about it a lot, and i know i won't finish to write it so i am sharing my idea.
Imagine a crossover with Winx & W.I.T.C.H & Avatar : The Last Airbender & Disney Fairies :
Almost every main characters have elements as power (like water, fire...).
Because a villain tried to stop one of them (maybe in the Winx universe) some characters switched their place with other from other universes.
By Example :
Katara went to the winx's universe, Aisha/Layla went to the W.I.T.C.H.'s universe, Irma went to the Disney Fairies' universe, and Silvermist was transported in ATLA universe.
Toph went to the W.IT.C.H.'s universe, Cornelia was transported in the Winx's one, Flora went to the Disney Fairies Universe and Rosetta stayed in hers (because I want interactions between her and Irma idk why but i want it)
So to complete the ATLA Universe, Vidia went there too.
We know for sure that the Winx can go to earth (Gardenia by exemple) , the Disney Fairies too, and the W.I.T.C.H live on earth (Heatherfield). So that can make sense. For ATLA charcters it's more complicated, but we can say they live in another galaxy which is part of the magical dimension but never talked about because it's the farthest planet.
They would fight side by side and help each other. And at one point they would all be on the same planet and bound quickly with each other. Tinkerbell and Tecna, Stella and Iridessa, Trill and Musa, Bloom and Zuko. Katara and Aïsha....
(English is not my first language, sorry for my mistakes)

I think Bekwyl's erstwhile job is clearing out the beasties that infest the mines; he's got some combat experience. He also deals with the coyotes and such while Jeryk and Thaffe are maintaining the equipment at Mount Biran (and other similarly dangerous places).
He's very happy to have an excuse to set his axe aside and focus on running and maintaining the trolley again once Magnus is back in action.
He doesn't necessarily like fighting; he's just better at it than most of the miners, and he's young enough to always draw the short stick. So the others just kind of slapped an axe in his hands and sent him off like, "Have fun! c:"
He did not. He did not have fun.
He doesn't mind standing guard for Thaffe and Jeryk; at least he likes them, and he gets to help out when things are calm. He's got the least experience with trolley engineering (he'd only just started taking an interest when Agna died), but he helps where he can, and learns bits and pieces from the bits and pieces the others know.
#twine boys#he's mine now. <3#i'm claiming him and crawling back into my little writer's lair with him.#i'm pinning his age at 23#so he's jeryk's age#but often feels older because jeryk's so excitable#ostensibly he was also a miner but spent more time culling beasts than mining for ore#and kind of made a living by selling whatever he could get off of the monsters; no one was going to fight him over it
