something that I can't decide if it's a joke or canon but I heavily lean towards it being funny enough that I WANT it to be canon - there is a list in camp of all the people who make Tempest cry. having your name on there is an unforgivable crime ( tempest disagrees, she just wants you to say sorry then it's all okay again ! ). Minthara dubs it "The Leaderboard" and thinks its a competition

So yeah, tried to sleep but Gale needed to eat another bloody magic item. I gave him a dagger, much to Astarion’s horror. Gale ate it and said it didn’t work. I could fucking feel Astarion burning the words ‘I told you so, you phenomenally ungrateful slime’ into my back with his gaze.

Anyway, turns out before all of this kicked off, Gale was shagging Mystra. Yeah, THAT Mystra. Goddess of all magic and lover of bearded weirdos.

Aside from being a very dirty boy, Gale wanted to up his kinky game and went off searching for a book of all magic power or something, I wasn’t paying much attention.

Long story, short; the book fucked him up and now he has to eat magic stuff to survive. If he doesn’t eat then he’ll explode and kill all of us.

Fucking great.

He offered to leave like a bloody martyr but I told him no. If Astarion the fucking vampire who we’ve kept hidden from the hunters stays, if Lae’zel and Shadowheart who want to murder each other stay, then he fucking stays too.

Once the tadpoles are out then we can all bugger off and do our own thing. Until then, we’re a fucking team and now I sound like Timmy One Bollock giving a motivational fucking speech none of us want to fucking listen to.

If that’s not a sign I’m too bloody tired, I don’t know what is.

I'm looking for a thread with any of the Act 1 companions? Not really for any shipping purposes! Mostly because I think her interactions with the lot would be interesting.

I'm largely interested in playing her Canon. Which I know would cause some very strange interactions! She's a very modern day character. Though her Canon reality is no stranger to tears in the fabric of space time. So it wouldn't be all the out of the way for her to have fallen through. (A la Isekai, if you want to make that joke)

Though I can tune her and play her to her BG3 sheet current!

Hazel's own reality does with with tears in reality with relative frequency. And often send parties to explore what they call The Delta. The space in between planes of reality.

Could have her captured during one of these expeditions by the Nautiloid if you want to play to the tune of 'has a wormy friend on board'

Or you could have her dragged with during its crash and severed from her reality. Ends up tangled with the party because, 1. She's Altruistic to a Fault. 2. May have some sense of understanding the reality hopping mind flayers probably have a way for her to get back home.

Either way it's not a terrible culture shock for her. She's familiar with the supernatural. Gods, demons, and everything in between. Her reality is heavily inspired by Modern Arcana. The whole 'Isekai' bit is by and large for goofs!

Lae'zel open starter.

"Vlaakith. Vlaakith! I have wielded your fury as a blade, roared your wrath as a dragon!" She cried out, her face for the first time revealed her rounder eyes full of heartbreak.

“You promised ascension - yet I crawl among my own people, low as an asp's belly. Shka'keth!" She spatted out desperate before spitting blood on the marbled floor. She hated how her eyes wetted and wetted as she spoke.

"I followed your path. What good, this heart of stone, for it to be shattered?” Her knees almost gave out, she had lost even the strength to act tougher, to suppress her emotion and she knew all eyes fell on her.

Thinking about how in earlier patches, you can convince Lae'zel to kiss you by persuading or intimidating her (via a pouty face). It's a bit pushy, but I was fine doing it after the romance fight.

Currently though, they added an animation where Lae'zel is a bit overly uncomfortable with the idea. I say overly uncomfortable because this seems to be the only way to open up the kissing option in act 2.

Makes me ponder if the game eventually gives you this kissing option in Act 3 when she's ready, or if you're blocked out of the kissing if you don't roll for it.

Whichever it is, I wish they animated her looking shy rather than visibly uncomfortable. Tho if she does kiss you later in act 3, I will accept responsibility for my actions.

Lae'zel cracks open an eye.

Something oddly, conflicted knits the gith's brow. Only for a blink of a moment, not even a heartbeat. The slits of her irises narrow, calculating, and cat-like. Were she some four-pawed beast, she would be judging you.

She had been at her tent, knees planted firmly, hands resting on the surface of her own thighs in an almost arrogant solemn. The fighter doesn't even much as lift her chin to face her companion, instead, staring nearby towards the dwindling flame marking the center point of camp.

"My body will decide for me when it hungers." A firm quip— It seems as if she's already made her mind up on the matter. "Not you."
