One Dress a Week Challenge
June: Grey
Lady Jane / Helena Bonham Carter as Lady Jane Grey
I guess the costumers had a taste for literal humor, as Lady Jane wears grey more than once during this movie! This is a dress she wears quite early on. It looks very plain, but there are some discreet pearls on the forearms and a quilted underskirt to provide some visual interest. And she wears a cap or coif over her hair when hanging out at home--something almost never seen in movies!
The French hoods are not great, though. I don't know why costumers always seem to have so much trouble getting them to be the right shape.

RELEASE THE DIVA!!!! *I scream into a megaphone as Butchverine walks into the stage*
A couple of notes on my take on sapphic Poolverine:
-wolverine's full name is Jane Lenore Howlett, she mainly goes by Jane, she still goes as wolverine as her hero persona
-Lady Deadpool startet to call her Lottie (because of her middle name, Lenore) because it rhymes with Hottie "hottie Lottie"
-doesn't really cares about makeup, sometimes she can indulge a bit in wearing black lipstick but she's always seen with eyeliner....it's for intimidating purposes she says .....sure thing, we say (she's lying, she enjoys doing her eyeliner)
-Jane gives zero fucks about shaving, but we stand a soft fuzzy gal, so kuddos to her, Lady Deadpool says she is "as soft as a kitten"
-fashion wise Jane is all about the ripped jeans, combat boots, tank tops, sleeveless crop tops, flannels and ofc a good leather jacket
-Lady Deadpool's name is Winnona Wilson (I know her canon name is Wanda in the comics but marvel come on, there's already another Wanda and plenty of female W names, get creative!...plus Winnona is cuter)
-wolverine calls her whinennona, whiny or straight up Wilson depending on her mood
-Winnona LOVES accessories And is oftenly wearing wigs, cute hats, beanies and bandanas in her head when she's not wearing her mask, she loves makeup too! She enjoys false eyelashes, lipstick and sometimes eyeshadow, she draws in her eyebrows but she doesn't wears foundation tho, it irritates her skin a lot
-she probably has the biggest cute and funny earrings collection ever. Fashion wise I can see her rocking low waist jeans, rhinestone belts, crop tops and those juicy couture velvet tracksuits lol

Recommending series and films about the Tudor Dynasty in chronological order
1. THE WHITE PRINCESS (Beginning of the reign of King Henry VII)
2. THE SPANISH PRINCESS (continuation of TWP, tells the story about Queen Catherine of Aragon, first wife of King Henry VIII)
3. THE TUDORS (starts in the early years of King Henry VIII's reign and ends at the end of his life, tells the story of important politicians of his reign such as Cardinal Wolsey, Thomas More and Thomas Cromwell, as well as obviously talking about his six wives)
4. BECOMING ELIZABETH (tells of the younger years of Queen Elizabeth I during the reign of her half-brother, King Edward VI)
5. LADY JANE (Helena Bonham Carter stars in this 1986 film, covering the short reign of Lady Jane Grey, who succeeded King Edward VI shortly after his death from tuberculosis)
6. ELIZABETH (A classic in Cate Blanchett's career, it tells the story of the reign of Queen Elizabeth I)
7. ELIZABETH: THE GOLDEN AGE (Sequel to 1998's Elizabeth, tells of the threats Elizabeth faced during her reign, including Mary Stuart's claim to the English throne)
OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS
1. THE OTHER BOLEYN GIRL (It tells the story of sisters Mary and Anne Boleyn, both lovers of King Henry VIII, Anne would become Henry's second wife and mother of Elizabeth I)
2. WOLF HALL (The story is told from the point of view of Lord Chancellor Thomas Cromwell, during the tumultuous divorce of Henry VIII and Catherine of Aragon, as well as his marriage to Anne Boleyn.
3. MY LADY JANE (A dystopian fantasy about Lady Jane Grey, but fun to watch)
4. REIGN (It focuses mainly on the dispute between Elizabeth I and Mary Stuart for the English throne)
Keep in mind that most of these series and films are not completely faithful to historical facts, but still maintain most of the events.

Sometimes I wonder why it took me so long to get around to watching the Loki series when he’s been my favorite Marvel character since I was like 12, and then I remember the fucking war crime that was Thor: Love and Thunder, and how Marvel made such a badass god/superhero into a joke, and expected us to find his depression after losing literally everything - his father, mother, brother, his entire people - funny. I think I was scared that they were going to do the same thing to Loki’s character, and was actually shocked that they gave him such a satisfying character arc. But G-d, I am never going to get over how fucking atrocious that movie was. I saw it in theaters with my dad and brother in 2022, and I still cannot get over my disappointment. It was what made me stop watching anything new by Marvel for two years, and I didn’t get around to watching Loki until a month ago because I thought they were going to do something similar to his character. I’m glad I was proven wrong but I’m still never going to forgive them for doing that to Thor’s character.

I think Dirk and Roxy would have accents, purely from the media their ancestors created. Dirk would speak in a mix of carefully curated texan that D used in interviews, and ytp style sentence fragments from the sbahj movies. Roxy would have some kind of transatlantic/british from Audiobooks, mixed with whatever carapacians sound like. I vote trills and clicks like bugs. Maybe Roxy has a bit of an advantage learning troll language because of this?
