Okay let's give some propaganda for my queen Kenna. First of all and because I don't know where to put it else.... She's a canon bisexual and she's so cute about it.

As I already explained in my little paragraph you can enjoy here 👆🏻 she is an insecure baby who does everything she can to be safe. She is a lady in waiting and her family always expected her to have the best marriage possible and by that they obviously meant the most powerful for an alliance. She had the "luck" to become the King's mistress and she made him get on his knees for her. But it's also the moment she started to have so many problems. She was sixteen, naive and desperate to have a safe position so she did what so many victims do, she refused the help of those around her.... then plot follows its way and basically the king becomes crazy and make her marry his illegitimate son... and it's not so much of a safe position. She's now married to a man she knows nothing about, who helped her "seduce" his father and who basically consider her to be a gold-digger and a stupid shallow girl. She helps her queen to save her country by going in the king's bedroom to take an important document where she's trapped with him and is so scared it hurts. But she does what she has to do.

And this is only a small part of what happens to her. She ends up being disgraced, pregnant with the baby of a traitor (long story) and forced to leave the country and never come back. This ending is shitty but it's because the actress wanted to quit the series.

What I would like to point out is her personality. She definitly is flirty but she's also a really naive babygirl who dreams of the white knight in shining armor and who falls in love with every man who offers her the protection she deserves. She's also a funny girl who loves to give bad advices to her friends and who makes everything funnier and lighter. She's that bubble who makes everyone smile without even realizing it.

She suffered so much because she was a girl in a period drama based on a period where nobody could protect her and she deserves better. My babygirl deserves to win this.

Please help me.

My favourite character of all times... she's a sarcastic flirty queen who basically made a king on his knees for her. She's an insecure baby who feels like being loved by a man is necessary to survive and in her times it was. So she uses the power of her looks and her charming spicy personality. She is observant and quick to think which make her a fantastic spy. She's brave and willing to do anything for her country.

The thing about self-publishing is occasionally knowing that you have a manuscript/book that would go gangbusters on this website if only you had a bit of a marketing team/the ability to put it into people's hands/bookstores. The manuscript/book I'm finishing formatting/doing the last editing run on is about an ex-Chosen One falling for her rival and it's all Shakespeare references and Greek mythology allegories and sapphic rivalry and trauma recovery and tenderness and women's wrongs and chaotic background poly and lightning and fire magic (both as metaphors and literally). You get Sisyphus and Romeo and Juliet and Andromeda and Lady Macbeth and Les Miserables through the lens of two very traumatized self-admittedly overdramatic eighteen-year-old lesbian rivals with enough magical firepower to destroy an army and all the need to just heal but with a tendency to miscommunicate that could rival any fanfic. Also Hozier, kosher BBQ, Guitar Hero, and copious Community references. *slaps the hood of the car* What more could you want?

...Anyway "This Rotten Work" is going to come out in all likelihood on March 31st so stay tuned!

I saw you like Taylor Swift and well-developed, researched, authentic sapphic historical fiction (such as Portrait of a Lady On Fire) and I've just gotta ask you: have you heard of Burn the House Down by Kenna Jenkins? It's an alternate history novel abt the 1st woman president in 1945 and her secret interracial sapphic relationship and her bearded marriage with her mlm best friend/biggest foil. It also has Taylor Swift vibes (especially illicit affairs, gold rush, I Did Something Bad, anti-hero, and last great American Dynasty), a subplot about arson at the White House, ft. an entirely queer main cast and really fleshed out characters, and has a really satisfying ending!

OH OKAY!!! I have GOT to read this. Thanks so much buddy for this recommendation. I really appreciate it 🥰
