I believe this room was effectively Luis's bedroom, due to the couch and blanket. Most other areas associated with him (his laboratory on the island, the SW plaga research facility) don't have anything suitable for sleeping on, and don't even have blankets anywhere. While there are beds in his childhood home, I think him sleeping there is a lot less likely, due to all the rotting fruit and fish, the holes in the roof, etc. Because of the books in one bed and the mug on the headboard I think it's safe to say he did spend some time in his childhood home and may have even slept there occasionally, but I just can't believe it was where he slept most frequently given the overall state of the house.

Meanwhile the burning laboratory is very obviously a better place to live in, it's structurally sound, no risk of rain coming through the roof, it's clean… you get the point.

↑ Once he reaches the table, he stops moving and stands like that until the player reaches the room (or the timer runs out and he dies…) I found it a little interesting where he stops. Was the medicine in the cabinet behind the couch? Or was it somewhere else he wasn't able to reach so in his panic he just ran as far as he could and gave up at the dead end? (I'm aware the real reason is just that it made sense for him to stop there to wait for the player from a game design perspective, but humor me, I love coming up with in universe explanations for out of universe game design choices, it's more fun.)

Having strain problems in my right hand as a fighting game player is really stupid because I can wear myself out labbing combos for an hour, but the hand that feels it the next day is the one just hitting the buttons and not the one on the lever doing motions

Like as much as I was complaining about giovanna's more complicated motion inputs last patch, doing a bunch of 214623 inputs back to back to back doesn't bother me much on its own, but the repetition of doing a bunch of simple keystrokes every time something dropped *does*
