🖤Dark AU, Post Two, Same As It Never Was:
(Warning: This fic contains medical trauma and depictions of wounds and scarring, drugging and sedation, darker themes and implications, mentioned and implied death, and features darker platonic yandere content! You have been warned...)
• It was hard to believe they were back after all this time.
• The flight back home is abuzz with unspoken questions, careful touches checking for pulses, and the steady, hopeful feeling they haven't felt in years. They never thought they'd see their friends and kids again. Yet there they were, calling them in the dead of night from a payphone, then waiting for them to arrive, hidden away... And here they are now, passed out in their arms, their faces peaceful in a way they never thought appreciated in full in the past.
• Magneto holds Pietro, stroking back his hair and holding him close, Wanda checking his pulse and frowning deeply at the scar above his eye, at the dried specks of black and red flecked across his face. The speedster is unusually still, too deep under to stir as his father and sister watch over him. His legs show deep bruises, as though something had hit them, hard... Mystique murmurs to Kurt, rocking back and forth lightly in her seat as Rogue whispers small promises to him. The fuzzy blue teen is limp, not even his tail wiggling or wrapping around their wrists or legs for comfort. The discolored flesh of the scar across his throat is stark compared to his fur, and so too is the dark black-brown staining his shirt... Kitty is beside them, held by Scott, Logan sitting across from them, rubbing her back, and both trying not cry or stiffen when they see the hole in her blouse, nor when they feel the dark, sticky stain around it. Her head is tucked into the crook between Scott's neck and shoulder, his arms hugged tight around her like she might disappear. Logan's free hand is grasping her's, while curled into him is...
• Reader... Their face is too still, their shirt useless to hide or stop the bloody gash in their abdomen. There's dried blood in their hair and across the old worn lab coat pressed against them, dark reminders of what happened. Their arms are scarred, flecked in smears of brownish-red, the wound on their head is still damp, their breathing flutters lightly, as though they're still in pain, even in their sleep... Logan keeps his free arm wrapped around them, pulling them into his chest and stomach, keeping them where he can feel the beat of their heart and hear the rasps of their breathing...
• The tapes they'd all watched... Hours, days, weeks worth of footage, depicting what those scientists had done to their missing kids... Taking blood samples, scraping patches of skin off, collecting DNA and cells, taking bone marrow... not to mention all the extra ones done to Reader, or what seemed to be hours of torture, all meant to tear them down and leave them broken. The adults were barely able to watch the entirety of them, ending up having to watch them with one another just to make it through the upsetting footage. Scott had forced himself to watch the tapes, throwing up and crying when they went darker... Evan had tried, so had Jean, and Lance, even Laura... but in the end, all it left was a rotten pit in their stomachs, sending them searching for any of their friends or parents, wanting comfort, any form of it, to stave off the pain and agony and crushing weight of what they'd seen...
• But it would be better now. It is better now. Their friends, their kids, their siblings, are back with them, they're alive, and they won't be hurt ever again. The jet rumbles as it lands, the panels of the ceiling closing above it and sealing it safely into the mansion. The group is careful, maneuvering their wounded ones so they're held tightly, cradled to them as they exit the Blackbird, working their way into the halls and corridors of the mansion, into the medbay... They end up deciding to keep the kids to two larger room, with cots and medical beds ready and waiting as they're set down. Pietro is set up in the first room, his legs wrapped up carefully, an IV inserted into the crook of his arm, supplying much-needed liquids and medicine. His head is checked for any damage or concussion, the blood wiped up and the scar sanitized, any stitches needed added carefully, sealing shut the remains of the wound... In the same room is Kurt, attached to a monitor to alert the others if he teleports in his sleep. Bandages are wrapped around his throat, a coating of antibacterial cream underneath. Any leftover blood or dried ichor is wiped away, the fur and skin cleaned and smoothed down... Kitty is in the other room, a pillow propping her upper body up. Her wound is inspected, swabbed and sterilized and stitched closed, then bandages are wrapped around the area, a few gauze pads added to soak up any small droplets of blood. Her arms are inspected, a dose of sedative given to help with any pain... Reader resides in the room as well... Their head was checked, the wound cleaned and wrapped in gauze... Their arms were looked over, any scratches or gouges wiped with anti-inflammatory and antibacterial medicine, then wrapped up in thick bandages. The gash in their stomach was stitched up, a bit of blood given, and an IV was inserted, sending heavy drugs into their system to keep them asleep as they healed...
• They visited their children, their friends, their siblings. Magneto and Wanda hardly left him. Erik would sit there, keeping him silent company, occasionally holding his son's hand between his own. Wanda would tell her brother how much she missed him, that things were changed now, she'd even read her books to him, her voice emotional. Lance and Todd and Fred would visit, usually in the early mornings or during the afternoon, telling him to get better fast, like he always used to do, saying they had so many new schemes and powers to show off when was back... Charles would roll in, resting beside Erik, encouraging Pietro to recover soon and that he had been missed each day. He'd check his mind, smoothing away any nightmares or fear, leaving calm and warm, quiet fuzz... Evan and Storm would stop by, late at night, Evan recounting old basketball games they'd played together, or field trips they'd gone on, even embarrassing moments the two had gone through together... Mystique and Sabretooth came by, quiet, wishing him well, saying their nephew would need to recover soon so he'd see all he missed with being gone... Scott and Jean would sit by him, saying that his dad and the Professor were together, making them siblings in a way... even Logan and Rogue would wander in, telling him he would make it, he'd beat whatever had been done to him...
• Mystique and Rogue were beside Kurt, telling him they'd missed him and how proud they were of him, how once he was awake they'd have so much to catch him up on... Logan and Sabretooth would wander in, patting his head and saying he'd always made them laugh... Ororo and Evan and Todd and Wanda would come in, cracking jokes and hoping Kurt heard them in his sleep... Xavier and Hank would read to him, comedies and some of his favorite books from when he had been with them... Magneto would read to him in German, speaking words of care and comfort... Scott and Jean would ask him to wake up soon, to wait a little longer, that it would be worth it... Gambit would pat his hand, saying he and Rogue had taken care of each other while he was gone...
• Logan and Ororo and Scott and Jean and Rogue would take turns watching over Kitty, stroking her hair and telling her they loved her and had missed her greatly, holding her hand in theirs... Xavier and Wanda and Magneto would recount her achievements and best test scores, reminding her how she was so smart... Evan and Lance would visit in the morning and at night, saying she was always a fun friend and that it wasn't the same without her... Laura curled her fingers in her's, frowning but holding it together... Gambit and Piotr would wander in, offering to talk and keep her company when the others were checking on her friends... Hank would teasingly say they'd work on cooking classes when she was up to it, offering a few new books to help...
• And they all took turns with Reader... Xavier and Magneto tended to take afternoon visits, trying to invoke peaceful thoughts in them as they rested, assuring them they had been brave... Logan and Sabretooth took late nights, keeping them company and promising they were wanted... Ororo and Storm took early mornings, thanking them for protecting the others... Hank made sure they received their doses of drugs and sedatives, saying he was glad they'd made it back to them... Scott would visit at odd hours, saying he'd misses them... Jean and Rogue thanked them for keeping Kurt and Kitty safe for as long as they could... Evan came in after his aunt, greeting them and thanking them for looking out for all of their friends, saying they had to wake up... Lance and Todd and Fred tended to sneak in and tell Reader they were glad they made it, how they appreciated them doing everyone a solid... Wanda read to them, reminding them they couldn't leave them, not when they'd only gotten them back... Gambit and Pyro and Piotr would come in, jokingly saying who else woukd they tease if Reader wasn't around...
• The next few days were filled with worry, hope, fear, and joy, all one mixed concoction of battling emotions, everyone trying to believe this was real...
• And then Pietro woke up, and they were all focused, making sure he was alright, keeping the scared boy company, making sure he ate, and soon checking his thoughts and asking questions about what had happened...
• The same happened when Kurt, then Kitty, awoke, Mystique and Rogue and Logan and Scott and Jean and Evan and Ororo hugging them, making sure the medicine and needles were in place, smiling softly and saying it had be so long, that they'd missed them all so much, how they were safe now... They felt bad that all three were scared, shaking, confused, trying to make sense of what had happened and trying to figure out if they were real, and if they were, why they were older...
• "Dad... Wanda... please, just tell me... what happened?" Pietro didn't whine, and he didn't beg, but at this point, he was close to it. "Son, do not worry about it. Everything is taken care of..." "Pietro, you're safe, there's nothing to fear..." He still wasn't convinced... Something was off with their family...
• "Mother! Please, I am fine! But vhy von't you tell me vhat has changed?" Kurt didn't want to worry anymore, but when his mother and sister would dodge his questions, he knew they and the others were hiding something... "You're here, and until Hank says you are well, you are staying here, my son..." "Kurt, it will be okay. You'll be out soon!" He didn't think things were as okay as everyone said they were...
• "Logan... Can't you tell me anything? Please?" Kitty didn't know how to feel about the adults and the others being older and acting so strange, but it made her shiver... "Half-pint, there's nothing to say. Now please relax, I don't want ya straining yerself..." She didn't like this one bit...
• And finally, a day or two after the others, Reader began to wake up... Their head felt fuzzy, soft, and their vision wobbled for a minute... but then they were waking up, groaning at the stiffness in their joints...
• "Sweetheart... We're so glad you're back... Welcome back, little one..."
• Reader somehow knew something was wrong, and it seemed that their and their friends' troubles had only increased...

It baffles the mind to me how people will insist Ben Percy's Beast is right and correct and is the natural end version of Hank and that since day one he was always going to end up like that, not just because it implies absolutely nobody has actually read Hank in any pre-Bendis comic ever, but also because Evil Hank as Percy writes him makes everyone look massively incompetent, and I'm not even talking about just X-Force, I mean the entire larger X-Men community.
Emma Frost. World class telepath. Repeatedly is shown to not have that many qualms about digging into people's minds if they're hiding something from her. Confronts Hank at least once directly, and yet did not actually care enough to do anything other than act huffy when confronted with his actions. At most, she was pissed at him ruining her party. You can torture whoever you want, old buddy, but causing an inconvenience at my party? Now I'm mad.
Jean Grey. Even greater telepath. Was on X-Force herself, even, and also does not have many holdups about tearing down people's walls if the needs be. We even see her do just that, but her problem is him keeping things from her, and not the actual content of most of his actions. And after she leaves, she just seems to plug her fingers in her ears and go lalalala? The stuff at the Hellfire Gala, keeping Wolverine as clones, she doesn't care, she's too busy X-Mening.
Wolverine. Epic cool warrior guy who is supposed to be the best there is, whose talents Hank clearly admires enough to clone repeatedly to do his bidding, who is simultaneously a lone wolf and also the guy everyone wants to have on their team, who is the only guy who can see through Hank or whatever. Not competent enough to kill one big blue furry man who has spent the last 5 years at a desk job. That completely alludes him.
Domino has luck based powers that are supposed to help her in any situation, but I guess getting rid of evil blue man is too much to ask. Couldn't even get a bucket propped up under an open door. "He was always like this, he was always evil" she insists, but after learning he's controlling a small nation with plant people at the Hellfire Gala she still busts out the Cha Cha Slide with him on the dance floor.
I guess neither Jean nor Logan bothered to tell Scott his old friend was committing war crimes, because he doesn't seem to know or to give a fuck.
Kitty and Kurt know enough to joke about it, but do they actually confront him? Does anyone care enough to actually try to put a stop to it directly, if they're all seemingly convinced he's beyond help and fundamentally evil? No, they've got other shit going on. No time to care about Hank making a future where he is God-King, we gotta stop Sinister doing that same thing, but I guess when Hank does it, who gives a shit.
Quinten Quire is an omega level telepath who apparently nobody thought to say "hey man, can you use those Phoenix-level abilities to get Beast to stop killing people?". He was too busy giving himself a bigger dick in resurrection protocols, I guess.
I could go on, but point is, I genuinely don't know how you insist that era made so much sense and was the perfect version of Hank and everyone was simply too naive to see that this was who he always was, because it makes everyone look like an incompetent moron! They can't kill one fat blue furry man??? He hasn't done field work in years! And yet that's too much to ask! The only reason he died was because he was in gay love with some fuckass actor from New Jersey. It's deeply embarrassing for everyone involved if that's the reality of things, and I have no idea why you want all of your favourite characters to be incompetent dipshits who think "Wow, isn't Hank evil?" and then refuse to actually do anything about it.
And all this could have been averted if Hank was, you know, Hank. Hank isn't charming and cultured and well-read and funny and polite because he's a good person, those are his innate traits, and as we see with Dark Beast, they can twist in the opposite direction. That would literally be all it would take. I mean a lot of things would still suck, but at the very least, it would make everyone's inability to do anything a little more understandable, and allow things to feel tragic, like that Hank becoming increasingly evil and separated from his ethics is a loss and one we all mourn, instead of the insistence that he was always going to turn out that way.
Emma walks in to try and set things right with Hank, but gets distracted by good conversation and jokes and the same man who treated her as a member of the X-Men when she first joined and not as a heartless monster, who built her piece by piece back together when people were joking that finding out her murderer would be too much work, because everyone wanted her dead. It's hard to connect the evil actions she's heard Hank doing with the kind and charming and personable man in front of her, who matches her intellectually and well and truly respects her, and so she accepts that things are either exaggerated or that Hank will ultimately come back into himself, and that she can trust him not to disrupt her party.
Just a few little moments like that would have gone so far. An evil Hank McCoy is ultimately still Hank, and should still be funny and dropping Aristotle quotes and Shakespeare and being a good friend, because those are not traits exclusively to moral people, and it would make everyone's seeming incompetence a little easier to swallow. It's harder to see the evil actions that Hank is doing for what they are, when he's making you laugh so hard your belly aches or pondering intellectual questions with you, rather than just repeatedly saying "I'M THE BASTARD YOU NEED" before making a torture station in outer space.
There's so many ways this entire arc could have, at the very least, had some intrigue and actual character work to explore, the ways Hank has always used a larger than life persona to deflect and hide, and how that could become increasingly warped if you're dead set on having him be evil, and make the whole thing feel less like a character assassination and more of a tragedy. Hank McCoy becoming evil should hurt. It should feel like a great loss that someone who had been so kind and empathetic and nurturing became increasingly amoral and evil and even sadistic, and all the characters involved should feel that loss, and that even could be why they struggle to actually do anything for so long; they're so loyal to the Hank that once was, they can't see the Hank that is.
But all that is lost when the only character suggesting that something else might be to blame is Colossus, who immediately gets shut down as being ridiculous and silly, and everyone else stands and nods that Hank is really evil now, and isn't that a shame, and maybe he was always like this, but are we actually gonna do anything about it? Nah, we got a party to throw, we gotta get our fancy dresses on.
The entire thing is so unbelievably infuriating, because all it would have taken for someone to actually not even like Hank, but just want to be consistent with prior characterisation and have him be fun. A villainous Hank should ultimately be fun. That's probably the main reason why Dark Beast has endured for so long; he is fun to see and be around. He's a fun character to see on your page. That's what Hank needed. But I guess Sinister was taking that place so instead we got blue Kissinger and it is genuinely such a travesty that this dogshit is celebrated by comic fans who throw up in their mouths if you suggest reading an Avengers comic to broaden their horizons.
#brieuc.txt#hank mccoy#emma frost#Uhhh not gonna tag the other characters I mentioned I'm lazy#ch: oh my stars and garters!

Guys I love X-Men Evolution. It's my favorite adaptation. I don't care if it's the highschool fanfiction of X-Men content!!! They're all so kind to each other!!! It focuses so heavily on interpersonal relationships and it's clear the people behind the show cared about it very deeply!!!
The care is there when Kurt's human hologram is animated with his fingers together! It's there when Scott's voice gets all soft and low when he checks in on Jean! It's there when kitty and Charles telepathically plan on a surprise getaway for Hank when he's feeling isolated! It's there when all the kids are worried about Evan even though he's reckless because they love each other and know they need to stick together!!! I can tell the crew had fun because of the amount of pop culture references snuck into every season!!
If my show doesn't have genuine human connection in it, I don't want it.
I love you X-Men Evolution, I love you forever and ever <3

Scott and Madelyne are watching an Earthrise on the Starjammer. His father introduces the newest member of the crew, Carol, and asks Scott if he still wants to join them when they leave soon. Scott, now with Madelyne to tie him the Earth, is unsure. Meanwhile, Xavier and Lilandra discuss again the fact that she must return to battle Deathbird, and he must stay with his students. I know I talk a lot of shit about Xavier, and I stand by it, but I do love the character. He’s a pretty shitty father figure, but he wants to be a good one and occasionally is. He’s very worried about Scott, who is deeply in love but also troubled by Madelyne. We cut back to him wondering why he can’t let go of the weird Jean coincidences and allow himself to be happy. Madelyne tells him that if he wants to go to space, she doesn’t want to hold him back, and he asks if she would come with him. Down on Earth, Logan goes back to Mariko, and she repeats all the thing Shingen said about him. We also learn she’s named Harada as her heir, and Logan throws down the ancestral Yashida sword she gave him and walks off. At the mansion, there’s a big long scene of Kitty and Peter being romantic, and I hate it so I’m not gonna talk about it. It ends with Ororo flying in on them making out in her attic, which is now devoid of plants to match how she’s changing. Meanwhile, Kurt is tending to Anna, who’s still recovering from last issue, and tells her the story of Dark Phoenix. Meanwhile, Scott has finally made his decision: he doesn’t care whether there’s a Jean-Madelyne connection, and he won’t worry about it anymore, because he loves her. He proposes and she accepts. It’s a huge deal for Scott to make a decision like this, because even Jean was never able to get him to accept things he couldn’t change. He joins her on a flight as her copilot, and when he goes into the cabin to tell the passengers they’re landing, a priest hands him a photo of Jean that he says Scott dropped. Scott didn’t have it with him, and all of his doubts and questions come rushing back. That night in her house, Scott asks her if she is Jean Grey. She punches him, and his glasses come off. When he puts them back on, she's standing in a Dark Phone is costume and blasts him unconscious.
The X-Men are chilling outside when a firebird appears above their heads, drops Scott on them, and vanishes. Xavier tries to track the firebird with Cerebro, but it's been sabotaged and reflects his power back on him, knocking him out. The Dark Phoenix rises out of Scott's body and attacks. They're no match for her, but she says she won't kill them yet and flies off. They try to call Lilandra on the Starjammer, but a dying Christopher answers and says Dark Phoenix has killed them all. They call the Avengers next, but that call is interrupted by the destruction of the entirety of New York. Truly alone and in shock, the X-Men tend to their wounded. Scott appears to have no more life in his physically healthy body, but we the readers see that his astral form is hovering above him, unable to communicate. He believes he's dying and leaving his body behind, and though a part of him wants to fight, he lets go and prepares to move on. He walks towards the light, but he's stopped by a woman who tells him it's not his time yet, and he needs to look within himself. As he tumbles back into his body, he realizes it was his mother. He wakes up with an epiphany- Jean is dead and gone. His wounds from the Phoenix are gone, and he starts to put the pieces together. This is all an illusion, orchestrated by some enemy with a deep knowledge of the X-Men and the Phoenix, and there's only one possible culprit. He runs off to find his teammates, but to them he appears to be the Phoenix. Luckily for Scott, he trained them, so he anticipates their every attack and fends them off without hurting them. He's forced to flee when Lockheed, a fow he knows nothing about, joins the fray. Kitty goes after him, but that was part of his plan- he lets her tackles him, and the momentum takes them down through the floor into the Danger Room. Ororo spends Kurt to turn off the safety locks on the Danger Room to try to kill Phoenix, but Scott reveals his ace in the hole- his first move when he woke up was to reroute controls through a portable device that he has. He activates a Savage Land illusion and disappears into the jungle. He knows there's no more room for error, because Ororo has decided to kill the Phoenix once and for all. Meanwhile, we get official confirmation of the twist that's been obvious for a few issues- their foe is Jason Wyngarde, Mastermind. One of Jean's last acts as Dark Phoenix was to show him the full majesty of the universe and drive him insane. Now he's out for revenge. He's been the culprit behind everything in the Paul Smith run- putting Emma Frost in a coma, furthering Anna's identity crisis to send her to the X-Men, making Ororo think her powers were going crazy and sending Japanese hitmen after her, and making Mariko call off the wedding. But his final plan is to make them kill Madelyne and live with the guilt. Her looking like Jean was just a bizarre coincidence that he's been exploiting by sending Scott signs. Meanwhile, Scott takes out his team one at a time until he gets Anna to Xavier, where he puts her hand on him to absorb his powers. Scott then establishes a mindlink with Anna to show her and the X-Men the truth. Mastermind is in the room with them somewhere, shooting at them, so Ororo summons the most violent storm she can to flush him out. She's willing to sacrifice all her team to kill him, but it doesn't come to that, and he's knocked unconscious. She won't let Logan kill him now that he's helpless, so they pump him full of drugs while Scott goes over to Madelyne's lifeless body, killed by Ororo. He gives her CPR, refusing to lose another woman he loves, and saves her. A few days later, he brings flowers to Jean's grave, and tells her that he loved her, but he's glad Madelyne isn't her. He finally lays his first love to rest and goes to marry his new one. The whole supporting cast of the book is in attendance, and the artist "camera" pans through the couples in the audience before finding its way back to Scott and Madelyne as they're pronounced married and kiss.
Scott and Madelyne's relationship will be completely destroyed by terrible writers and some awful retcons in a few years, but for what it is right now, it's the best love story the book has had so far. Scott always looks for reasons to doubt everything and destroy his own happiness, but now, with all those doubts seemingly confirmed, he was able to push through it all and realize that he's happy and moved on. Marrying a non-superhero is also the natural extension of how he’s been exploring life outside the X-Men. Jean being an X-Man ended up being a crutch that Scott leaned on through that relationship. They did truly love each other, but they didn’t really know how to interact like normal people sometimes. And then with Lee, Scott tried overcompensating in the other direction, trying to hide his superheroism and then trying to hide behind it. But with Madelyne, he can finally communicate in a healthy way. I’m really proud of how far he’s come, which is a weird thing to say about a fictional character, but Scott and I have a lot in common, and these characters have been in my life since I was very young, so sometimes it kinda feels like I’ve been growing up with him. I hate what’ll happen to his arc in a few years, but right now, it’s comforting and inspiring to see how far he’s come. While I’m here, I want to talk about Paul Smith too. Unlike most of the artists that Claremont works with, Paul Smith signed on for a predetermined run of eleven issues, so his run has a clear beginning, middle and end. It’s often called the From the Ashes era, and it’s one of the most thematically cohesive writer/artist collaborations on the book. Under Paul Smith’s pencil, the X-Men faced their deaths at the hands of the Brood and were reborn, but had to then deal with the people they were becoming. Ororo’s arc is powerful and open ended, and it’s clear that her metamorphosis is the first stage of her rebirth. While Ororo grappled with loosing her grip on the identity she thought was secure, Scott, the most insecure X-Man, evolved in the opposite direction, finding a confidence in who he is and what he wants that he’s never really had. The last few pages of issue 175 were actually drawn by John Romita Jr., who has a lengthy run coming up that’ll also be great, but Paul Smith’s unique style was perfect for these stories about identity crises both literal and figurative. It wasn’t as foundational or groundbreaking as the Cockrum or Byrne runs, but this run holds a special place in my heart for how deep it dived into the souls of the characters.

Lovecraft au(meething again)
N/A: I won´t kill Quire here because I will kill the ultimate!Xavier. This is a side part that will meet the main story of Zaorva.
@djinmer4
Charles Xavier used to be a man that wanted order and power, both he used to have in clear view, until, one day she shows up, Jean Grey, the beautiful girl with long and shinning red hair and green eyes. She stole his heart and mind.
At the time, she was dating Scott Summer(how and why? Scott was a nobody and Charles was a billionaire, that orphan didn´t deserve that beauty) and didn´t notice his desire, then, when their relationship starts to crumble, Charles thought it was time to make moves on his student.
Again, the beautiful woman didn´t notice him. She cheats Scott with Logan but didn´t notice Xavier. The man even tried to kill Scott, however, Rogue, accidentally manage to save the man.
Jean died once. Then she returns to be with Logan. His tears are of despair were ignored.
Jean died once again. She didn´t return to Xavier.
Xavier spends his time away in his secret room looking at several photos of Jean Grey. The room became a shrine to his unrequited love, Jean Grey. Mourning of a love that never happened. Abruptly, a loud noise interrupted his musings.
The sound was too loud that formed shock waves that break the widows, the statue of Jean Grey(it was in a small scale) and even making Xavier´s ears bleed.
This is not the usual "kids being kids" something is up. Xavier leaves his wheelchair and walking to the main saloon, meets Kitty Pryde naked, that is not something worth to mention but the fact she is in a crystal blue colour and is attacking all the students as well speaking a language no one understands.
Lilandra did speak something about this. Lilandra was a way for Xavier to forget about his passion for Jean, but, it didn´t work out. Lilandra is not Jean.
But Lilandra didn´t mention something about Kitty, something to be aware of her.
"Kitty, stop this right now" his voice is firm and the creature, as Xavier labels her, ignores him and continues to destroy all it is in her way. It is a bit impressive how she is destroying the mansion easily without breaking a sweat.
"Rogue, do something"Xavier command and the woman was too scared to fight back, crying and saying something. Xavier rolls his eyes. How pathetic.
Then, Xavier uses his psych power and that got the creature´s attention. Kitty with her crystal blue eyes and form look at him with fury, screaming something in her own language.
Professor X is trying to mind control a Godness.
Professor X did lose this battle.
His last thoughts did go to his beloved Jean Grey. I love you Jean. I love you.
Kitty´s tentacles grab the professor X and squeeze to death. Then she revives him and did again and again.
Looking around, Kitty destroys the saloon, no, the correct term is that Kitty created an endless loop in the saloon.
"This is a black hole? Everyone get out here" Rogue instructed to the others" some still under the influence of the spirals jump at the black hole, Kitty look at Xavier who was trying to mind control her one more time.
And then, she eats his soul.
"No one will hurt me, no one will touch me," she said speaking in a human language.
Looking at her creation, her blue form continues. But fear creeps on her form. Someone approaches her and Kitty knows who it is. She didn´t look at him. Not yet, she looks at the blood in her tentacles(her tentacles) as well as the black hole she created and controls.
"Hello, Zaorva" Kurt´s voice is kind and is so familiar and welcome.
"What happened?" Kitty asked crying. She remembers what Chutulu tried to do, she remembers her own death.
"I murder him in the most violent way possible, my love, he won´t hurt you, ever again, no one will," Kurt said in a soothing tone lending his white suit to cover the woman.
"I guess, you weren´t talk crazy" Kitty said trying to joke but the tears still remain.
"Oh, Zaorva, I´m sorry, I never wanted to cause you pain, I thought it would be better if you wake on your own if I forced or remove the seals...I don´t want to see you suffering" Kurt said drying her tears.
"I know, I...want to go" her words are too vague, but, Kurt is her half, her soulmate. Kurt did understand her request after all.
"Very well, we can go, and katzchen," Kurt said "welcome back"
"Thanks, Kurt, Thanks" she holds her own tentacle with his and closes her eyes. She needs time to process what just happened.

To me, it doesn’t make sense to make Magneto the main villain because it has been done so much before and it would connect it so much to the Fox Films. Also I think there is a GREAT laziness in writing Magneto especially in films. He generally didn’t want to kill all humans, subjugate them yes because he doesn’t trust them. Which isn’t a ‘good guy’ move in itself and he slips in and out of.
He legit murdered genocide I think when he was going to kill all humans. Like no.
I also think that the average cinema goer likes Magneto too much… or maybe that is me. It would also require them to recast the most famous faces of the franchises?
Like is anyone going to care if they recast Jean, Scott, Iceman, Rogue, Kitty, Beast even Mystique but Magneto? I don’t know. I have long been a fan of an actual Jewish actor playing Magneto but following Ian McKellan would be difficult for the casual fans to accept. I don’t think Fassbender left such an amazing impression.
Even my most average MCU fans friends (and god they love the MCU 😤 but I see past it) still talk about how much they want to see a Magneto solo film.
To me I would put the focus on their reveal and sentinels. Then again I thought they’ll go through Krakoa stuff. Like it turns out the mutants have been living on this Island etc
With the ‘simpler times’ comment I have to for the sake of my sanity have to think that it was because Pietro knew where he was. Things were clear to him, as much as it hurt he had his sister. The following trauma had not occurred. Again I don’t think this is true but I am trying to reason bad writing. He didn’t doubt his morality but was indebted and controlled. Shitty actions were out of his control.
I don’t read Avengers so I didn’t know he was shelved for so long.
I think the Trial of Magneto is trying to ride on the coattails of Wandavision because even though she’s not a mutant a lot of the internet was wanting Magneto to show up. So what is the best way to get those fans who wanted to see that? Set up a family comic book where they establish the family again because I guess the MCU fans heard they’ve changed their background and themselves didn’t like it.
I see the Trial of Magneto as something poorly thought out as they saw what the audience was interested in. The timeline kind of clashes uncomfortably with Inferno. Which makes me think it was wedged in there to ride the Wandavision train and undo the retcon on the side of the main storyline.
Thank you for reading my essay/rant
Ok so I'm going to first say you have a lot of great thoughts and great on picking up the whole forced feeling. You are right, it does feel wedged in there and it does feel forced because that's exactly what Marvel did.
The Trial of Magneto was supposed to be an X-Factor plot, it was Leah Williams next arc, here's an article link talking about her podcast: link (yes I know it's bleeding cool but I don't have time to listen to the podcast)
Leah Williams tells us that X-Factor was canceled because Leah's pitch for the Magneto/Wanda story for X-Factor, now called Trial Of Magneto, became such a popular pitch at Marvel but they thought the reader numbers for X-Factor wasn't big enough for this story, so they wanted it as a separate comic. And canceled X-Factor #10 rather than seeing it run as originally planned, with the Trial beginning in X-Factor #15. Williams says she only learned about the cancellation of X-Factor when she was writing #9, so as she had to finish the series quickly, squeezing six issues worth of story into those last two issues, calling it "cramped and rushed".
So I'm not a fan of Leah but the way Marvel treats it's writers has always been terrible so this cancellation doesn't surprise me. Could this be about W*ndaVision? It's likely, but it's more likely this has to do with Hickman bowing out. It's no secret literally everyone hated the retcon and I always knew it would be undone but I didn't think it would take 6 years but here we are.
Hickman leaving is a bigger thing, he stated in an interview ( link ) that he had planned Krakoa and X-Men to be a 3 arc story, and he wasn't allowed to move onto the 2nd arc because the clowns at Marvel liked the idea of Krakoa too much and I'm so mad because that's exactly the kinda behavior that annoys me with the fans, them thinking Krakoa is just a fun playground for the mutants to mess around with.
"Oh, plans have changed entirely," Hickman says. "When I pitched the X-Men story I wanted to do, I pitched a very big, very broad, three-act, three-event narrative, the first of which was House of X. And while this loosely worked as a three-year plan, I told Marvel upfront that I honestly had no idea how long the first part would last because there were a lot of interesting ideas that I had seeded that other creators would want to play with, and so, we left this rather open-ended. I was also pretty clear with all the writers that came into the office what the initial, three-act plan was so no one would be surprised when it was time for the line to pivot." Hickman continues, "However, I also knew that I was cooking with dynamite, and it was very possible that what I had written in House of X, and the ideas contained within, was not actually the first act of a three-act story, but something that resonated more deeply and worked more like Giant-Size X-Men, where it would represent a paradigm shift in the entire X-Men line for a prolonged period of time. So, during the pandemic, when the time came for me to start pointing things toward writing the second-act event, I asked everyone if they were ready for me to do that, and to a man, everyone wanted to stay in the first act. It was really interesting, because I appreciated that House of X resonated with them to the extent that they didn't want it to end, but the reality was that I knew I would be leaving the line early."
I'm so MAD because the thing I was predicting, that Hickman would have it come crashing down and everything would be revealed to be terrible and Mutant Death Sex Cult Island wasn't a paradise is never going to happen because the fucking CLOWNS at Marvel don't want him to move past it. I may have my personal gripes about some of Hickman's writing but we can't deny the man wrote one of the best if only the best Marvel Event with Fantastic Four/Avengers/Secret War.
As for the simpler times comment, like I have my theories that I wrote out here, and that's what I think is most likely but I do think Pietro's life has never been easy or simple once his adoptive parents died. Pietro could be drinking to a time before the Brotherhood.
I would love for a Jewish actor to play Magneto and any other characters who are Jewish. I would love for a Jewish writer to be able to write them too. However Ian's performance literally set him in the minds of the people as Magneto, not even Fassbender's bleh one note Magneto could compare. Imo the only reason people liked the younger Magneto was because he was young, handsome (? ig idk i dont simp for him) and they could ship him with young professor X (cowards. where is the old man ship???) But I feel like a new actor could definitely fill the role if they are Jewish and the writing was good.
Magneto's writing in comics... well I just wish we could have a Jewish writer for him. There's some great stuff for him but I feel like characters like him and Doom could be written better by non white/american writers.
Although by today's standards the og X-Men trilogy doesn't hold up I will defend the first two movies with my life simply because after Blade these movies opened up the idea that a good serious, non campy version where characters called Magneto and Cyclops were taken seriously. X2 in my mind was the definitive X-Men movie. Was it totally comic accurate? No, but it doesn't do what the MCU does, it doesn't treat the watcher like they need to have their hand held through all the military propaganda and "hints to the comics". Also side note; the reason no one cared about any of the other X-Men being recast is because all through most of the X-Men movies the focal story point has been Professor X vs Magneto. If they really want people to care about those characters/actors then we would need stories that focused on them. Not like how Storm barely had any character growth or plot in the og X-Men and even young Ororo got mishandled by the script. This is why I feel we should have "origin movies" for the X-Men that don't do what Wolverine Origins did and try to make a whole new cast but instead should use the stories as they are. If it was Kurt's story then we would see him join the X-Men, and have the other actors revolve around that. Same with each of the others, the X-Men work best when they are working off each other and each given enough screen/page time to shine. Unfortunately we all have our favorites, even movies and writers, so those are who are going to be pushed for fans to love.
Thank you for your long rant and sorry for my own long rant/reply.

Hey, it's me again, lol!
Well I've been thinking about this pretty a lot and, I don't know if this is your kind of post, but I was wondering who would be like date someone of x-family, but you are an outsider. Like... not of other country or other necessarily human, but... I mean they live in a school and almost don't get out but to stop villains, so they are probably in their own world inside the school. I really hope you got it because I made a mess to explain.
Anyway, how would be to date a member of x-family begin an outsider?
I think I understand!
I did my best to answer, but I may have gone more in depth than you were thinking. I’m not sure exactly who you mean by X-Family, because they’re all one big family. So, I added a lot of people!
NOTE: I did not put Erik and Charles in because they are kind of the parents of X-Family, and you specifically asked for X-Family. I don’t know if the parents would date anyone besides the other.
I don’t really do character x reader stuff, but this was a fun prompt. I hope I cover everything! Tell me what you think—feedback is appreciated! As always, thank you so much for the ask. Keep them coming! They are a lot of fun!
WANDA MAXIMOFF– Wanda likes domesticity. We saw that in WandaVision! I think you would likely meet her at the movie theatre, or a coffee shop. She can be a bit of a sap for things like that. She would be closed off at first, but if you could make her laugh, she would fall pretty fast. After that, it would be drive-in movies with popcorn fights in the front seats, references to sitcoms that the two of you watched together, and other fun dates (playing Twister, making cupcakes together, pretending to be witches and/or a witch and wizard attending Hogwarts together, etc.). Wanda might even show off her magic a bit to make you smile! It would be very two-way. Both of you would get a lot out of the relationship. Charles would likely dote over you if you could make Wanda smile. He would be the parent that constantly asks Wanda how her girlfriend/boyfriend is doing. Erik would probably be skeptical until he saw you making Wanda happy. Pietro would play lots of jokes on you to see how you react—do you take it well, or get mad? That would determine how he views you.
PIETRO MAXIMOFF— Pietro does have a life outside of the mansion. He gets away every moment he can, and because he’s so fast, there’s nothing his parents can do to stop him. You would probably be a friend of his that he met on one of his excursions from the mansion. It would start as just a friendship. But then friendship would probably turn into fun practical jokes that you could both laugh at. Karaoke nights would start to get later and later as the two of you refused to watch the clock and just spent time with one another. Halloween would be a lot of fun—I think Pietro would probably want to do a couple costume. He would refuse to call it that, though. Everyone else would meet you first as a friend, and then the psychics (Jean and Charles) would catch on that there was something more to it. They would make lighthearted fun of the two of you, but because they are both so caring, they would also take you under their wings, so to speak. Erik, on the other hand, may threaten you if you hurt his son. And Wanda would probably judge you.
JEAN GREY— Jean is studying to be a doctor, and I assume she still goes to classes outside of the Xavier Mansion. In order to get her attention, you would need to prove that you don’t like her for looks. She has had a rough love life, and they always seem to want her because she’s pretty. If you could prove to Jean that you like her because she’s funny, CRAZY smart, and fun to be around, then she would start inviting you to things. If you let her make the first move, she would probably like you even more. Dates would include long drives where the two of you could talk about anything and everything, book store dates where you would buy each other books, and the occasional food fight. Jean has a fun side that she rarely shows: she likes to be a kid, too, not just a superhero that studies medicine. She likes to make a mess, dance around, and stay up all night telling scary stories. If you were into that kind of thing, Jean would be a lifelong lover. She’s very heart-to-heart. Erik would probably look at you and nod slowly, because he could see the love in Jean’s eyes. Charles would be the skeptical one here. He would not want to see Jean get hurt, and it would take a few weeks for him to warm up. The other kids would probably adore you—after all, you would be someone totally new that can bring out the good in just about anyone.
RAVEN DARKHOLME— Would You Date Me? That was the song (yes, from the soundtrack of X-Men: First Class) that Raven would think when she met you. You would probably meet her on the battlefield. Raven is attracted to bad boys/girls. You would probably be a villain, and she would be a reformed hero. She would meet you and want to know more. You would not hurt her in battle because you have a softer side, and she would want to understand why. That would lead to her sneaking out of the mansion in the middle of the night to meet with you in various places. The dates would include was-that-fighting-or-flirting and a lot of heart-to-heart talking. Raven needs body positivity, and if you gave it to her, she would be eternally thankful. When you eventually would meet the rest of X-Family, it would be a little awkward... you would have tried to kill everyone in the room multiple times. Charles forgives easily, so he would accept you quickly. Erik has been in your position before, so he would like you, too. The other kids might take some time though!
ORORO MUNROE— Ororo used to be a pickpocket, and I think you would likely meet her by trying to pickpocket her. She would see you and decide that she wants to help you. You would start by meeting up for coffee and lunch where she can help you overcome your desire to steal. After that, you would open up and start to trust her more, but you would also want to spend more time with her. She would meet up with you at any time, whenever you needed her. Dates would include dancing in the rain and Ororo taking you up into the clouds to watch the sun set. She would teach you to garden and give you self-worth until you no longer felt the desire to steal to get by. The others would accept you very easily—if Ororo likes you, you have to be good.
SCOTT SUMMERS— Scott is very traditional. He would probably rescue you during battle—maybe a stone tower was going to fall on you or something, and he blasted it away. He likes to be the hero. After that, the two of you would start meeting up in all the cliche ways. He would take you to the movies or out to food. He would throw pebbles at your window, and send you long texts about how beautiful you are. Scott has gone through many lovers before, but the others would see the way he looks at you through his visor and quickly decide that you’re one of the better ones.
KURT WAGNER— Kurt is super religious, and I suspect you would meet him through church. He would be very shy, but if you were able to look past the blue, two-fingered, tailed exterior, you would find the softest of hearts. He would bring you flowers with small poems attached, and take you on short vacations—teleporting, not traveling—to the beach or to the big city. He would like to see your smile. There would be a lot of surprise gifts, too. If you ever needed him, he would teleport to get there as fast as he could. The others would think it is adorable that you make Kurt smile so much. They would invite you over all the time, for dinner and for game nights.
ROGUE— The poor woman is so touch-starved. You would probably meet her on an occasion that she snuck out, the little rebel. She would like to give you hugs (without skin to skin contact) and run her hand through your hair. The two of you would spray paint walls and have water gun fights as often as you could. She would probably leave you gifts outside your door on a weekly basis. Because she is, well, Rogue, I doubt she would tell the others about you for a couple of months. She would not want to make a scene. She’s also just rebellious like that. When she finally did, though, she would get a talking-to from Charles. Erik would want to meet you immediately, because he would think that you sound awesome. Charles would come around to that view, too. The other kids would probably be a little wary... until they met you.
KITTY PRYDE— NERDS! She is such a geek, and you would probably meet her through robotics or something. It would start as a school girl’s crush, complete with sending one another notes and giving each other looks when no one else is around. Once you got together (she would probably make the first move, but if you beat her to it, she would definitely say yes), she would make bad pick up lines and puns all the time. She would meet up with you to do things like fly drones over restricted areas. When she would take you to meet her family, she would make a big deal out of it. She’d make sure that it was a formal dinner with everyone on their best behavior, and... yeah. The others would find it endearing, and with a good first impression, they would easily accept you into the family.
LOGAN— This one is fun. Logan is a lone wolf. You would likely meet him on a separate mission, possibly in Japan. You would need to chase after him. He would not make the first move. If you chowed him that you really cared for him, then he would start to get protective and try to keep you safe. There would be a lot of late nights drinking and whatnot... I’ll leave the ‘whatnot’ up to your imagination. I mean, this is Logan. But he would love you very deeply. Seldom does Logan fall in love, so when he does, it’s a big deal. That being said, it would probably be a long distance relationship. You would probably not meet the rest of X-Family for a couple of years, until the relationship was solid and he wanted to take you back to the States to meet everyone. It might even be the wedding. If it was the wedding where you finally met the X-Men... expect some laughs. They would tell every embarrassing story about Logan, just to make him flustered.
Holy cow, that was long. I hope you liked it, and I hope it answered your question!!

@mythigal1966 - not that awkward anymore.
Kurt Wagner is a man full with good intentions, literally. He is always doing the good thing and he is always trying to be the best for the people he cares... Like, making breakfast for his new girlfriend but, it stayed like this, just in good intentions.
Cause he couldn´t really wake up, he tried a couple of times. The best he could to was to raise his head up and look around but the door of his room seemed so far away and so blurry. He dropped his head on the pillow and sighed. Maybe ordering something instead?
He looked up again, to his side. Dria was in the same state or perhaps worse, she was deeply sleeping, she wasn´t even moving, the only thing that would show she was still alive was her back raising slowly up and down along with her long breathing.
Bah, now he was awake. He sat up slowly, without making any sound. He didn´t want to wake her up. He looked around the room while scratching the back of his neck, trying to remember where his cell phone was. He remembered leaving it in the kitchen. He managed to stand up without making the bed move and headed to the kitchen to find it... When he started it, a bunch of messages started to arrive, ping after ping sound as they spammed the inbox, all of them from Kitty.
He snickered silently and began to read them, they stopped around 1 am. Probably the hour the ship returned to the docks, he checked Kitty´s last log in and it was around that hour. Being the shit he could be, he replied to her with a very convenient message: “My bad, I forgot you were there.”
Also as a test to see if she could reply immediately, he thought it was early but it was almost eleven am; the curtains were closed so, the illusion of being a bit darker was still present.
But no, no answer. He thought in calling her, or.. Perhaps calling Peter. He didn´t get any messages from the Russian man last night, only Kitty´s. Kurt wondered if Dria was spammed as badly as he was then he made a pause to check in the fridge to see if he had any food, if not he could order something...

just a Walk On The Wild Side drabble~
to anyone who’s interested~
Kurt and Scott were unwilling witnesses to Evan's coming punishment as they got in after school. He'd made a whole scene fighting, and half of Bayville High had seen the whole thing. The administrators were all pretty understanding, but Hank, Ororo, Logan, and Charles did not seem pleased by the younger student's suspension. The city youth was finally settling down, learning to be responsible and part of a team, and handle having other New Recruits look up to him.
This punishment was random and suspect, Logan's dark eyes inspecting the boy for a reason. He wouldn't back peddle without one. He sees his aunt has the same thought track, but she's trying not to glide to nephew's rescue. He was a ward of the school and equal to everyone else, he couldn't be treated special. She's mostly bewildered, wondering why, knowing all they have to lose, he fought.
"Evan," Charles admonished, but his eyes are more worried, than anything. Logan stands beside him with broad arms folded. The telepath did not like to scold or demand, but he would if he was pushed to it. He was getting an answer. "Talk to us. We are here for you."
"Surely, there is good reason?" Hank had seen him come around to nature and find peace in the California redwoods, even with the mishaps of the trip. He too, suspects something else at play. He shares a quiet look with Ororo. "A problem at school we could help with? Give us something." It was hard getting children of this age to open up, and much less boys. He knew all to well.
"A situation for me to mediate?" Logan gestured to his knuckles and nodded, knowing that male adolescence is filled with self loathing and the fear of looking weak (asking for help).
"We are here for you, Evan. All of us. But, your actions have consequences..." The graceful woman wants to believe in her nephew's progress, so badly. He looked down at his white tank top, his frown set deeply in his face. Explaining would be more trouble than it was worth.
"Evan..." Kurt tries, his tail swishing nervously out of habit. They'd all had plans, but it seemed like the institute had another idea.
"Just, tell 'em what's up." Scott tries, now curious to see why his teammate is suspended, and what he needs to do about it. Evan just sighs again, he didn't want to budge. "It's not like you to be so hotheaded. You've learned a lot about thinking your decisions through..." The blue mutant rubs his arm as their leader finds a soapbox to step on.
Evan only huffs, his skateboard quivering underarm. "I'm sorry, Auntie-O. I'm sorry, professor. I just wasn't making smart decisions, nothing more to tell, yo." The hairy instructor almost busts out of a dark t-shirt when Evan makes a move to flee the foyer.
"Porcupine, you wait a minute." The man was a human lie detector, and he smelled lies. Whatever he was scrapping in the schoolyard about, it wasn't over himself. The commotion is momentarily halted when Kitty, Amara, and Jean appear through the doors, smelling sweetly and covered in glitter. The girls of the institute have been swapping clothes and styling each other, hanging together and stressing the boy's wing out. Ever since the random string of vigilante busts ended.
Both Scott and Logan figured out what been going on, and different ways. But the females of the school had been different, ever since. Even the reclusive Rogue. The Canadian man was practically going crazy after she suddenly started socializing. Staying out after school, up all night on the phone, coming and going like the other students. It was almost eerie.
The red head seems to be wearing Kitty's shirt, a maroon button up that leaves a lot of her mid drift exposed. Kitty is dwarfed in a pink button up of the senior's, fitting her like a shirt dress with pink pom-poms with in her hair. And Amara was shrugged in a turquoise, off the shoulder sweater.
"Ah, girls." Charles half sighs, noticing Evan's flushed demeanor.
"Red, how about shirts that fit. And half-pint, pants next time? Brazil, don't get me started... You’re guilty by association." The girls giggle and largely don't pay the grumpy man mind.
"Hey, professor." Jean glides upstairs to find the library.
"C'mon, let's hurry to the Rec room..." Kitty suggests, hooking her arm in the other freshman's.
"Sure. Where's Rogue? I didn't see her after school." Scott folds his arms and tries to look like he isn't eavesdropping (he’s totally eavesdropping).
"I dunno, she got on that lit. college student's bike." The brunette answered with a shrug, Kurt following after her. One of his eyebrows is raised.
"College student?" He asks, German accent strong. Jean poked her head down the staircase in curiosity.
"College?" She cant hide her pout, like she wasn't already dating the school starting quarterback. "No fair..."
"College?" Hank patted Logan on the shoulder, but it was no use. He wasn't sure how, but he was going to halt the girl power trip before it got out of hand. "This place..." He jabbed a finger towards Evan's bleached blonde hair. "I'm smokin' a cig, and then you're rattin' on whoever is giving you a hard time. They're not getting in the way of your studies." With that, he took off in another direction.
Evan sighed, Scott scrubbing his chin. "He only wants to help." Charles says with a tentative smile.
"Like, we all do." Ororo pressed, her mouth tugging downwards. The fifteen year old didn't even begin to know how to articulate what he was thinking, but he wasn't saying it to his aunt.
"I was just being a hothead, bro. I'm sorry for letting you down. I accept whatever punishment you give me, and will try to make better decisions in the future." Before anyone could formulate a response, he hopped on his board and disappeared from sight. The shaded mutant scratched his head and watched him roll off.
"Any of you buy it?" Hank only shook his head no as Ororo sighed.
"Not a bit."
"He's at such a secretive age..." The african woman can't wonder if she bit of more than she can chew taking him in. She has no children of her own, what did she know about rearing him just because they're both mutants?
"I have a feeling that this, like lots of other things, will resolve itself. Come, let's give him some time. I can hardly punish the crime without motive." The silver haired woman nodded in agreement as they all moved to the kitchen.
Evan made it to the gates of the campus when a blood red motorcycle pulled up, the petite figure of his teammate on the back. He watched in astonishment as she pulled a black helmet off and shook wavy hair out. She's wearing the dress she wore for the musical (which he hadn't seen, since), chunky boots, and a leather jacket over top. "Thanks, Dylan. That was awesome. We'll compare the parallels of Hamlet and Son's Of Anarchy some other time, okay? Bye!"
He closes his mouth when she turns to him with a scowl, but one he's come to learn isn't unfriendly. "Sup, Spyke?" She drawled, wondering what everyone else is up to. He jammed his hands into khaki pockets.
"Yo. Have... Fun?" She ran a gloved hand through her hair in dissatisfaction.
"Sure, Ah guess. Dylan pays me fifty bucks to tutor him." She shrugged, Mystique had raised a hustler. She studies his face closer when she can see one of his eyes is starting to black. "Gettin' your UFC career started early?" His face soured, not this again. He'd rather not talk about it.
"C'mon, Rogue. You don't usually pry. What is this, bizarro world?" Rogue is the queen of defensiveness, so she is not afraid of the younger mutant's lashing out.
"Ah might when my friends are losin' fights. Hell, Evan. We could'a taken it two an' two, they accidentally touch my skin it's li-" She stops when he huffs in frustration.
"That's not... That's not the point, Rogue." Perhaps a few weeks ago, people looked at Rogue as cold. Brutish. Menacing. Everyone knew she went to the freak school and was a redbelt, enough said. But, she's found a confidence (one all the Bayville Siren girls have found) that was changing the way everyone saw her. Talked about her. Thought about her. The loner goth girl was still too far in her own world to notice it, but he saw.
Kitty and Amara welcomed any attention in their budding high school career, and though it baffled Scott, Jean loved the attention. Rogue didn't seem to understand or notice. Maybe, she didn’t even care. She's always done what she wanted and for once, she feels like part of a tribe. Surrounded by girls. They shared a secret and a bond.
He loves to see his friend wear pride in how cool she is, he just doesn't like the chauvinistic commentary coming with it. It's complicated, and she sees in his eyes that she really has no idea what's going on. She folds her arms and plants her feet, daring him to speed away on his board. "So, what is the point, then? This ain't like you." He'd been on time for Danger Room and personal promises and putting forth the effort to turn his leaf around, just like her.
"I wasn't fighting over myself." He admits in defeat, his chin resting in his hands. She dropped her arms.
"Who's gettin' picked on?" She'd handle it, herself.
"It's more what people said." He sat down glumly and waited for the girl to follow. She does so, hesitantly.
"Evan, words are not nothin' worth scrappin' over. Do you know the things Ah've been called, where Ah'd be if Ah fought every time someone tried to offend me?" She reflects for a moment on the south and her face sours. "Was it... Was it that word?" She whispered. If it was, she'd tell the professor or Logan and they'd definitely know what to about it, for his sake.
His eyes soften, but he shakes his head. "It was you, Rogue. And Kitty. Amara. Jean. Tabitha... It's like... Ever since, I dunno..." They weren't aware that all the boys knew what they'd been up to and didn't say anything, but she figures it out. "I think you guys are cool. You guys came together and found a vibe, you're all glowing. Happy." Rogue tries to follow the lingo as he balances on his board. "There's nothing wrong with that. But, for whatever reason... It makes guys... It makes guys..."
"Have pigs for brains?" She arches an eyebrow, amused at Evan's latent protectiveness. He nodded furiously. "Evan, trust me, we know what we were forced to sign up for just by bein' women." His eyes darkened.
"No, you don't know." He refused to repeat the things he heard people, people he was supposed to be friends with say. "All sorts of things about your bodies, assuming they know anything about you, when they don't. You're my friends, people I'm lucky to know." Things he didn’t even want to think about, jokingly. He stomped one of his many boards in half, growling. "They don't know you, that Kitty's saving that part of her life for marriage. Or, thinking Jean's boy crazy or loves a million guys. She loves Scott, anybody who knows her knows that. And you," Their eyes met and he's embarrassed, blinking back frustrated tears. "You can't even... They shouldn't..."
He'd never spared a thought to how both unfair it was to be a woman and for some, be a mutant; he knew now."It's okay, Evan." Her voice is soft. He was the last person she expected this outburst from, but they were all human. Unpredictable. Far from the expected. "Nothin' you need to fight over. Doesn't change anythin'." He looked down at the splintered remains of his skateboard while Rogue hugged herself. He was probably grounded for a month, at least. ‘Ah’m worth it?’
"He'll think before he says it again." He picked up his halves and shrugged, starting lazily toward the mansion. "Matters to me."

Story!
Kurt smiled as he stretched, thinking of how Lacy had looked the night before as she lay in his arms, in his bed. He really had been tempted to take a picture of her.
He turned to the spot she had been laying, burying his face in the pillow with the smile still plastered on.
There was a knock on his door, and he looked up at it as though it had called him a rude name. "Vhat?" He asked.
"Kurt, can I talk to you?" Kitty's voice came through the door.
Kurt's look of irritation left, as Kitty didn't get on his nerves as much as most of the people who might come to his door. "Ja, sure," he said. "Just a second." He climbed from his bed and pulled on the jeans he'd left on the floor next to the bed after he’d walked Lacy out before he opened the door. "Vhat's up?"
Kitty followed him into the room, sitting on the edge of the bed as he dug in the closet for a shirt. "Well... I wanted to talk to you about Lacy." He turned to look at her with a warning look. "She seems really nice," she said, and he turned back to the closet. "She's a bit shy, but nice. I just wanted to say... Well... Be careful," she said, looking away.
Kurt pulled on a shirt as he turned, a suspicious look on his face. "Be careful of vhat, have you been talking to Scott?"
"No, Kurt, that's not what I meant. Just, I know you like Lacy a lot, but I remember what happened last time you got close to a woman. You're a really kind and caring person, Kurt," she told him, looking into his eyes. "And my friend. I don't want you to get hurt. That's all," she explained.
Kurt relaxed, nodding. "Ok, Kitty, I understand." He sat next to her on the bed, laying back. "Did you like her?" He asked.
"I told you, Kurt; she seemed really nice, but she was a little shy," she told him.
"Ja, she vas nervous," he admitted. "Didn't you zhink she vas beautiful?"
"She was pretty," she answered.
Kurt looked over to her. "She doesn't zhink so."
Kitty looked down at him. "Really? Or is she just being modest?"
Kurt sighed. "Really," he told her. "She... Has trouble vhen I say some zhings- Like liebling, still, or hint zhat I like her a lot, she gets nervous vhen I say make love, und- I'm sure zhat if I said anyzhing about love she vould have a panic attack..." Kitty's empathetic look made him feel comfortable enough to confide in her, "but... Kitty, even zhough she has troubles vizh zhat... She asked me- she said it; make love..."
Kitty's eyebrows rose. "She said it?"
Kurt smiled as he nodded. "She did. Do you zhink... Maybe... Does she..." He trailed off, almost afraid to ask the question.
"You're wondering if she likes you as much as you like her?" She asked.
Kurt looked away to the window, whispering, "ja."
"I don't know, Kurt, you'd have to ask her, but, she may not know the answer to that herself, especially if she doesn't have a lot of experience with these kind of relationships," Kitty told him.
… … …
Lacy laid in her bed, curled around herself.
Make love…
Make love, why did she have to say that? Why did she call it that? She wiped at her eyes with her blanket. She felt so stupid. She felt that Kurt had humored her, calling it that after she had, but she wondered if he really thought of it that way, or if she was maybe over thinking things; maybe she was the only one who thought there was more emotion involved with making love than with just having sex.
It didn't help that she was crying about it, either; it made her feel even more stupid.
It had been a few days since she'd visited Kurt, and they'd told him that they all had to stay in for a few more days, just to be safe, and Lacy hadn't been able stop obsessing about the moment in the shower, right before Kurt had-
Making love seemed like it was the right words for what had happened, but had he meant to, or was he nervous about slipping and falling, or hurting her still bruised body? The moment just before it had happened, when she'd asked him, when she'd said those words, kept running through her mind, distraction her, even through work.
She wiped her eyes as there was a knock at her door, and stood up, throwing the blankets back. She looked through the peephole and saw Doug standing there. Lacy wiped her eyes again before opening the door. “Hi, Doug, what’s up?” She asked, trying to sound normal.
“I was just wondering if you’d be able to fix my suit, I uh, lost some weight and it’s really loose, now,” he told her before looking up to her face from the floor. “Lacy, is something wrong?”
“I- um- just…” She couldn’t think of what to say.
“Did something happen? Are you alright?” He pressed.
“Well… It’s a long story…” she trailed off.
“You want to get a burger and talk about it?” He asked.
Lacy wiped her nose and shrugged. “Sure,” she said, pulling on her shoes.
They went to the street and caught a cab to a nicer sit down restaurant, ordering food and waiting for the server to walk away before talking. “So. What happened?” Doug asked.
“Well… I have a boyfriend,” she told him.
“Oh. I thought you swore off men,” he commented.
“Yeah, I did. But… He’s not like other men… And… I’m sure that sounds stupid if you don’t know him…” She sighed. “So, that problem I had… Getting close…”
“Yeah,” he answered, taking a drink of the water in front of him.
Lacy looked at the table, drawing patterns with her finger. “He says I’m beautiful…”
Doug took the drink offered by the waitress, and Lacy let her set hers down. “So? Is he sarcastic when he says it?”
“No…”
“You are pretty, you know,” he told her, staring at his drink and sipping it as his cheeks heated.
Lacy looked up to him. “Doug…”
“I mean, if I wasn’t after that lady tiger, I might ask you out,” he continued. Lacy was silent, staring at the table, looking uncomfortable. “Don’t laugh,” he told her.
“I’m not,” she told him. “I’m trying- to- breath… Huuu,” she let out a breath.
“Sorry,” he told her.
“It’s ok,” she told him, successfully staving off the panic attack. “It’s just… He… I don’t even know how to explain it, Doug. When he says the things he does, it’s like it feels good to hear him say them, then it hurts because, what if he didn’t mean it? When you said it, I felt uneasy, but I could brush it off if you didn’t mean it, but, I can’t brush off anything he says…” She told the table.
Doug put his hand on hers. “Lacy, have you thought that maybe you really like him?”
“I do like him,” she said.
“I mean more, like maybe lo-”
“I- uh… Can’t,” she interrupted him, her breath speeding up. “I- start, this…”
Doug squeezed her hand. “It’s ok, it’s hard to think of sometimes, especially with some things that happen in the past,” he agreed.
Lacy tried to quietly gasp for air as the waitress placed their plates in front of them, and when she left, she looked up to Doug. “I’m glad- you’re my friend, Doug,” she told him. “It’s so nice- to talk to someone- who knows what- I mean instead of assuming- that it’s one way or the other, especially with this…”
He smiled to her, a real smile, not the usual shy smile he gave everyone else. “Yeah, people really get on my nerves when they assume things, stereotype based on how they feel about it…”
… … …
Lacy sat in her office, thinking about her conversation with Doug earlier. She really was glad he was her friend. She didn’t know anyone else that understood the scars that the feelings of anxiety and abandonment never let fully heal. She knew that not all of the kids in the foster care system felt that way, but there were some that did, and though she felt bad that Doug had experienced that as well, she was glad to have someone that understood her.
Lacy paused in her typing, looking to the door, feeling a little nervous as she wondered if Peter was going to come bother her tonight. She felt a little apprehensive, not looking forward to seeing and talking to him like she used to.
The sun had set at least an hour ago, and she was off in another hour when she heard a tapping.
Her head shot up as she looked around, thinking for some reason that she had fallen asleep at home as was dreaming that she was at work. She pinched herself, but it hurt.
She looked around and saw a shadow by the top of the doorway, so she stood and made her way to the hall, looking around.
She saw Kurt on the ceiling, and he waved silently, a giant smile on his face. He slipped into her office and she followed him, closing the door behind her.
He dropped to the ground and pulled her close. “Mm, it’s so gut to see you, Lacy,” he told her.
“Kurt, what are you doing here?” She asked.
“Ve finally got zhe go ahead to go out, and it feels like it’s been forever since I saw you; I couldn’t stay avay,” he smiled a little sheepishly. He pulled her close again, kissing her deeply and making her forget that they could get into trouble, until he pulled back.
“How did you get in here?” She asked.
“I just followed somevone, on zhe ceiling, zhough,” he smiled.
“You’re lucky no one saw you,” she told him.
“Are you kidding?” He joked. “No vone ever looks at zhe ceiling. Zhat’s vhy all zhe horror movie monsters hide zhere.”
There were footsteps in the hall, and, at this time of night, Lacy felt sure that they were headed to her office.
“Kurt, you could get into trouble for being here, not to mention if anyone told the senator, hide- here, get under this desk, no one will see you there,” she told him, urging him behind and under the desk. “Just be quiet, and don’t move or anything,” she whispered as the footsteps stopped outside her door. She quietly hurried back to her desk, sitting down as the door opened. “Uh, hi,” she greeted as Peter walked in.
“Hi, there, Lacy,” he said, letting the door close on it’s own as he moved closer to her.
“What’s up?” She asked as normally as she could.
“Lacy, I think you know.” She looked at him in confusion. “You know, all the talks we’ve had, all the things we’ve talked about…” His footsteps were small, making him take longer to get to her, and look more menacing. “How you’ve been acting recently.” The confusion deepened on her face. “I don’t think I can take the teasing anymore,” he told her, stopping next to her chair.
Lacy was feeling uncomfortable with his tone, and she stood up so she was closer to the same level and he wasn’t as intimidating as he stood over her. “What are you talking about?” She asked.
“Come on, Lacy, you haven’t been teasing me for the last few months? I’m ready to collect on it all,” he said, his heated eyes sweeping over her body suggestively.
Lacy’s nervousness escalated at his tone and body language, realizing that he wanted to have sex with her in her office. “I- uh- I’m not sure where you got the idea that I’ve been teasing you, Peter, I really don’t- but- I’m sorry, I’m not interested-”
“So,” he interrupted her. “You’re not interested?”
“No, Peter, I’m not-”
“Oh, Lacy, your words are saying no, but your body is saying yes,” he told her, stepping closer. “What’s wrong? Are you one of those girls that tease and say no because you like being pushed against the wall and taken? Oh, I think you are, you wild, dirty thing,” he said as she took half a step back, inadvertently towards the wall behind her.
Kurt looked out from under the desk, his tail lashing back and forth as he tried to get a view of what was going on through the inch between the desk and the ground. How dare some jerk come in here and talk to his girlfriend like that? And insinuate such things, saying she liked to be pushed against the wall and taken? He knew she did, but it sounded dirty the way this man said it.
Lacy glanced at Kurt’s hiding place, glad that he was still hidden. “Peter, listen, don’t do this, you’re confused. It’s probably all the formaldehyde in the morgue, right?” She joked hopelessly, trying to give him a way out.
Peter stepped closer, his lips curving in a smile. “Don’t worry, we just have to be quiet so no one hears, we won’t get into trouble,” he told her as though that was her fear.
Lacy felt herself panicking, losing hold of what to do. Should she scream? But no one was down here- fuck, no one was down here! It was just her, Kurt, and this crazy version of Peter getting closer to her, and she was sure that Kurt wouldn’t stand there and watch her be raped, but she couldn’t let him be discovered and turned in to the senator for whatever torture and death awaited him there.
Peter pushed her back the last couple of steps to the wall, his hand on her breast. “Don’t, Peter,” she told him, pushing at him. His hand took her left, the one pushing the hardest, and moved it to the wall beside her head as though she wasn’t even struggling. Her eyes widened, but she realized that she shouldn’t be surprised, after all, he came to work every day and picked up and carried full grown (and sometimes not) humans, placing them where they needed to be. “Don’t,” she said again.
“Lacy, don’t worry, I’ve heard you talk, and I’ll teach that naughty tongue to behave,” he told her leaning closer.
“Peter, you don’t want to do this, it’ll be rape, don’t,” she tried to reason with him desperately. “Just don’t, think about it for a minute! Do I look like I’m interested in doing it right now?”
Peter pulled back a little, but still pressed her against the wall with his body. “Look, I know you’re playing coy, but that’s a little far, isn’t it?”
“I’m not playing coy,” she told him, her eyes flicking to the desk to make sure Kurt was still safely under it.
“What, are you a Mary Sue or something?” He asked. “At work is too out there for you?”
“No, I’m not-”
“That’s it, isn’t it, all that big talk, and you’re actually dull in the sack, too boring to do the exciting things?”
“Peter, stop-”
“Don’t worry, little Mary Sue, I’ll show you, it can be exciting to do it in new places,” he told her.
Kurt stood from behind the desk, glaring at the back of the man who had his woman against the wall. An almost silent growl left his lips, and Lacy looked at him, her expression worried as her free hand came up a little and gestured to him to hide again. He shook his head, still planning on turning this man into pulp.
Lacy’s eyes widened at him as she gestured again, asking, “please!” Kurt was obviously reluctant as he slowly sank back down, still glaring at Peter.
“I will, Lacy, don’t worry,” Peter said in what he thought was reply to her.
She looked back to him. “I was saying please don’t.”
“Lacy, just relax,” he told her, pressing against her mouth.
Lacy pulled back as far as she could, feeling like she’d start melting into the wall, but he pushed against her mouth harder, his tongue pressing in and taking hers. She could feel herself panicking. She wasn’t strong enough. She’d never break free by herself. She could pray that someone would come down and help her, even though Kurt had looked like he was about to jump across the desk and rip Peter’s head off. Movement was hard; she couldn’t fight much with herself and one of her arms pinned against the wall.
Peter pressed his groin into her hip, and Lacy moved her hand away so she didn’t have to feel it. But wait- the idea flew into her head, and her hand moved to him, grabbing what she could and squeezing. She used every ounce of strength her hand could come up with, her whole body tensing to lend power.
Peter pulled back from her mouth, but didn’t dare yank his tenderest bits out of her vice grip fist. His body jumped, successfully dislodging himself and stepping back with wide eyes. “You crazy bitch!” he declared, backing away. He turned and ran for the door, and Lacy chased him.
“Not something a Mary Sue would do, right?!” She yelled, closing the door and sliding down it.
Kurt was suddenly there at her side, asking, “Are you alright, Lacy?” He hesitated to touch her, unsure if it would be welcome after that.
“Kurt, will you get me the hand sanitizer from that desk,” she asked, pointing at it. He got it for her, crouching again next to her. Lacy took the offered bottle and pumped it into her hands, scrubbing at the right one furiously. Next was her shirt over her breast where he’d touched her, then she pumped it into her mouth, gagging and raking her fingers over her tongue as the thick, sanitizer filled drool fell onto the floor in a small pool.
“Lacy, vhat are you doing?” Kurt asked, taking the bottle from her and putting it behind him so she couldn’t reach it.
“Trying to get rid of him,” she said, and the action of speaking broke the barrier she’d built, the tears starting to pour down her cheeks.
Kurt felt as though his heart was being stabbed with a dull knife and he scooped her up, holding her against him. “Lacy,” he murmured, pulling back enough to look into her tear filled eyes before he kissed her. He quickly pulled back, though. “Ach, zhat is awful,” he agreed, but moved back to her lips, enduring the sanitizer’s taste to help her feel better. He slowly moved his hand so that the back of it brushed across the wet spot on her shirt, not groping as Peter had, but gently rubbing to try and make her body forget it’s trauma. She silently cried, feeling the caring he was putting into touching her. Finally, he took her hand and moved it to his chest, rubbing it against the fabric of his shirt.
Lacy pulled back, her lip trembling slightly, and wrapped herself around him, gasping into his shoulder as the panic attack finally set in. Kurt held her tightly. “I’m sorry, Lacy… I vish you vould have let me pulverize him… Vhy did you stop me?” He asked gently.
“Can’t- let you- get caught- the senator- hurt you-” she gasped.
Kurt sighed, burying his nose into her shoulder. “How could you zhink about me vhen you are in a situation like zhat?”
The words that almost left Lacy’s lips were, ‘how could I not think of you, always?’ The realization of what she had been about to say hit her, and her hands tightened on him, the gasping getting harder to hold back.
Kurt stroked her back and shushed her gently, trying to calm her down. “It’s ok, Lacy, it vill be ok, I’m here. Just breazhe, Lacy, everyzhing vill be ok…”
.
Lacy walked down the street, lost in her thoughts, what had happened, what Kurt had said…
She felt almost alone in them, except she knew that he was following her, guarding her from the rooftops.
Just that morning she had been worried about if Kurt really felt about her the way he hinted that he did, worrying that he'd suddenly lose interest after her slip in the shower, and now, he was escorting her home, watching over her from the roofs.
She glanced up at where she thought he was, then back to the pavement, finally having reached her building. She climbed the stairs, getting to her door and opening the window where he was already waiting.
He came in and closed the window, following her as she went to the ottoman and sat down, pulling her knees up to her chest. “Lacy,” Kurt said, kneeling in front of her and wrapping his arms around her.
“I wasn’t,” she told him.
“You veren’t vhat?” he asked.
“I wasn’t teasing him, or leading him on, or anything… I didn’t want to do anything with him…”
“I know,” Kurt soothed. “He shouldn’t have done vhat he did, it’s not your fault, liebling,” he told her, making her eyes widen and shoot up to his. “I’m sorry, Lacy,” he told her, pulling her back to him again, hoping to stop a panic attack.
Lacy pushed back, suddenly standing, and Kurt watched her in shock as she tore off her clothes as though they were made out of ants. “I just-” she sobbed as she threw them on the ground, kicking them away, until she stood in just her panties, running her hands through her hair and pulling the loose braid from it. Kurt stood, touching her arm silently. She threw herself at him, holding tight to him as she cried. “Kurt, please…” she trailed off, not finishing the thought as another round of sobs choked their way out. “I just wish I didn’t have a photographic memory…” She buried her face in his chest for a moment before her hands moved down and pulled his shirt off.
“Lacy?” He asked, surprised at her actions.
“Please, make it go away,” she asked, looking up at him.
He took her hands in his, feeling the dull stabbing knife in his heart again. “I’m sorry, Lacy, I vish I could make it stop…” He moved one of his hands to her cheek. “I can’t, but… Maybe I can help you forget for a little vhile,” he told her, bringing her jaw closer and kissing her.
He was slow and gentle, not wanting to make her remember the roughness of the attack, his tongue softly asked for entrance, and she accepted, throwing herself in it and roughly kissing him back, desperate to forget. But he pushed her back, kissing her slowly, knowing that trying to forget was just another way that the memory stayed alive.
After another minute, his hands moved over her, stroking down her sides and back, up along her stomach and around her ribs to her back again, anywhere that wasn’t a tender spot.
Lacy pulled back, looking at him in confusion. “Kurt-”
“Shh,” he said gently, whispering against her lips. “Lassen Sie mich Ihnen helfen, zu vergessen.” She didn’t answer, but was much more relaxed and compliant when he started slowly kissing her again. {let me help you forget}
He gently moved them onto her bed, laying her down and hovering half over her on his knees and one elbow, his other hand still stroking her face and hair. His hand moved over her ribs, massaging the spots that made her cry out in pleasure when he bit them. It trailed down her side, then over to her stomach, pausing to circle her belly button with his fingers. His lips pulled away from hers, kissing down her neck, between her breasts, and his lips and hands moved over her, kneading, kissing, nibbling, and touching anywhere on her body that wasn’t her breasts or covered by her panties.
Lacy felt the pained slowness of him washing away the fresh, raw memories constantly in her mind’s eye. His hand moved over her hip, followed by his lips, making their way around so he could kiss her inner thigh, making tingles spread from the spot. She gasped as his tongue flicked out against her inner thigh, but unconsciously twitched away.
Kurt gently pushed her leg back to where it had been, moving away and back up her body, keeping to the spots that didn’t hold any sexual thoughts; her sides, back, and stomach. He knew that only tenderness was going to help this, and he was willing to put himself aside and drum up the patience it was going to take.
He pulled close to Lacy’s jaw, kissing it until he could whisper in her ear, “Sie sind so schön… Lacy, lass mich dich halten? Bitte?” {you’re so beautiful, let me hold you, please}
She looked up at him. “Aren’t you holding me already?” She asked breathily.
He smiled to her. “Einerseits wird nicht halten.” {one hand is not holding}
“Then why are you waiting?” She asked.
He wrapped his arm around her, letting his other hand hold her cheek as he laid next to her fully, letting his hand travel over her back, soothingly stroking all the skin he could reach. His hand lowered, tracing the edge of her panties for a moment before slipping under them the tiniest bit. Lacy pulled back from his lips to gasp and his movements paused. “Dir alles in Ordnung?” He asked. {are you alright}
“Yes,” she told him, catching her breath and going back to his lips.
Kurt let his hand continue to slowly slip under her only clothing, moving around one cheek to make sure she was ready for the touch. He paused again as her hands moved down to his pants, unfastening them and pushing. “Lacy, was machst du?” {what are you doing}
“Your pants are scratchy, do you wash them in wool or something?” She asked.
“Sind Sie sicher, dass Sie bereit sind-?” He asked, stopping her hand. {are you sure that you’re ready-}
She stopped him with a questioning look, and his hands and tail helped her completely remove his pants. He was nervous that seeing how hard he was from touching her might make her remember her earlier encounter, but she just ran her hand back up his chest, moving to meet him for a kiss.
Kurt’s hand moved back down her body, this time smoothing down her stomach and toying with the edge of her panties. She moaned against his lips and he pulled back, going to the edge of her breast instead.
His fingers teased the edge of the soft mound, until she turned and he was touching her. It was the same breast that Peter and roughed up, so Kurt was careful, softly touching, gently moving his fingers across the expanse of tender flesh.
The only noises she made were moans of pleasure, though, so he continued on his journey to the peak, smoothing his hand over it and rolling her nipple with his palm as he gently stroked her.
“Kurt,” she gasped against him, and he felt his hips jerk against her in need.
‘No,’ he thought. ‘I have to keep it together, for her… Be strong, body,’ he willed himself.
Lacy’s hand moved over him, finding his tail squeezing his own thigh. “Why are you doing that?” She asked from the haze he had put her in. Kurt didn’t answer, just ran his fingers along her jaw and kissed her again. She didn’t press the question, just moaned as his finger circled her nipple, then moved over it, making a circle with it underneath. His fingers slowly slid down her stomach, making goose bumps of desire rise in their path. He got to her panties, again toying with the band for a moment before gently moving over the fabric.
Lacy’s hand moved down to his treasure trail, tangling there and stopping as she pulled back to gasp in a breath before moaning it back out. Kurt’s mouth moved to her neck, kissing and nuzzling there, his hot breath making her nipples perk up even more. “Kurt,” she breathed after minutes that felt like hours of this almost-touch torture. “Just take them off…” He paused to look up at her, but her heated cheeks didn’t lie, and she was loving the attention he was giving her. He complied with her wishes, the panties soon joining the rest of her clothing next to the ottoman.
Kurt moved his hand over her, taking in her completely naked body and gently squeezing the tender parts. She became restless against him, and he slid his hand back down between them, hesitating for a second before touching her. He stroked the softness that met him, feeling swollen and needy, enjoying it as she pressed against his hand and moaned to him. His finger moved to the cleft above where her clit hid, knowing that it was waiting as well, but unsure about how ready it would be for touch. He slowly reached in, paying attention to any movement her hips made, until he found the little bud that caused her to cling to him. He pulled back from her lips, watching her face as he gently rubbed it. She opened her eyes to look up at him, gasping in pleasure as her legs fell a little farther apart. Her hand tightened on his shoulder, her eyes closing as she moaned up to him.
He slid his finger lower, just making it to touch her opening before she pulled back with a nervous gasp. He moved his fingers away swiftly, returning to the soft, puffy mound until she calmed and he slowly started venturing towards her wetness again.
Her hand again drifted down his body, this time making it all the way to where he was jutting against her. “Lacy, Warte-”
“But I want you to come, too,” she told him.
Something tender tugged at his heart. “Stopp, ich habe eine Idee,” he told her, his tail leaving his thigh to wrap around himself instead, the tip of it moving to settle against her clit as his fingers held her open. {wait- stop, I have an idea}
Lacy looked up at him apprehensively, not sure what he was going to do. Kurt took her leg and pulled it over his hip so that his tail could stroke her, and his hand made its way back up to her breast.
He started moving his tail, awkwardly until he got in the rhythm of it, then they were both being pleasured by it as it moved up and down his hot stiffness and across her clit at the same time.
He kissed her, pulling her lips against his as his tail and other hand moved over her tender flesh, bringing moans and gasps from her.
His hand moved to her hip, tightening as his hips started thrusting against his tail movement, making the tip of him rub against Lacy’s soft belly. He groaned as she cried out, closing in on the heaven waiting for them.
Kurt started nipping at her shoulder, letting out soft noises against her as she arched and cried out, making the need in his stomach tighten. Even though it was his own tail around him, Kurt still felt as though he was pressing into Lacy, her moans filling his brain, and her soft skin rubbing against the tip of his swollen, need filled hardness.
Her fingers tightened on him, her head tossed back as she cried out his name, and he knew her inner walls were tightening, even though the only hints he could feel was the way her hips slightly moved. “Komm schon, Lacy, ein weiteres,” he groaned into her collar bone, though she was still crying out from the orgasm still rippling through her. “Mindestens eine weitere,” he corrected himself as her cries drove him wild. {come on, Lacy, one more. A least one more.}
Lacy couldn’t stop herself; she was moaning, calling for Kurt, wanting him to join her in the pleasured thralls of orgasm, but he just kissed her, and when she moaned again, he kissed her bottom lip, making little rows of kisses around and under it. He gasped against her as she felt herself starting the journey again, and hearing him panting with need made her feel a tightening in her stomach.
Kurt felt Lacy’s hands tighten on him, pulling him closer as she got closer. He was glad, because he hadn’t been sure he’d last long enough for her to join him, but she sounded like she was right there with him. He buried his face in her neck, groaning out, “oh, Lacy, ja…”
Lacy moved, arching her back so that her breast was touching his hand, and he took it, massaging it and rolling the nipple as his tail and hips thrust. “Oh-” she suddenly cried out. “Oh, Kurt, yes- ahhh!”
Kurt felt her hips jerking slightly again and knew she was coming. He clenched his jaw so he didn’t bite her, also muffling his groans, and unwrapped his tail as he felt himself tip over the edge, pushing his hips against her so that his cum pooled on her stomach for a moment before running down onto the bed, getting all over her hand as she reached down and stroked him, keeping his orgasm going until he was empty. “Oh, Lacy,” he sighed into her shoulder with a feeling of euphoria. She pushed him back and nuzzled lower, kissing his chest and gasping against him as her body still twitched. Kurt ran his hands over her, feeling the ripples of tingles it set off and the pride it brought. He just held her close, running his hands over her, and enjoying the after effects for a while. “Did it feel as gut for you?” He asked.
“I don’t know, did it feel like the world was collapsing around you and you were floating above it?” She asked breathily against his chest.
He put his hand under her chin and tilted it up. “Ja,” he told her, kissing her deeply while his hand still ran over her tender body. “Just like zhat, aber, besser, because I vas vizh you,” he told her, going back to her mouth.
Lacy felt a feeling of joy still bubbling up in her stomach and spreading through her from their act. ‘I only feel this way with you,’ she thought to him, since her mouth was still filled with his. ‘Only with you...' She gasped into his mouth and Kurt's tongue circled hers before their lips met again, and a tear grew in her eye. 'Please don't hurt me,' she thought, then immediately refused to acknowledge.

There are several rooms as well with aquariums, touch pools, and museums about gem history, the Reef, and Pearls, as well as some about marine animals of the galaxy, and one specifically for Earth marine life. There is a main bedroom/relaxing room for Pearls, with carved shell beds afield with soft cushions amd pillows and blankets, with lights that turn off when needed, and doors that open when the guards command it. The gems who maintain the Reef are nicer than they appear, but Reader is still scared of them because of what they did, yet Reader tries to act like nothing is wrong, in case anyone discovers they remember being human. There is a check-up/rejuvenating room, where the Pearls are inspected, and if needed, rejuvenated, so they won't remember being human or anything besides waking up at the Reef. There is art along different walls, murals of different gems and plenty of Pearls, all in different colors and gem shapes. And there are plenty of recreational rooms, for making art or fixing things or reading holo pads or gardening or whatever you could think of...)

miasswier’s ultimate glee ranking: no 23
23: Girls (and Boys) on Film
Written by: Micheal Hitchcock Directed by: Ian Brennan
Overall thoughts: This is legitimately one of the funniest episodes of Glee to ever air. Every time I watch I just die of laughter. And it’s awesome because there’s so many amazing one-liners that I always forget one or two and get to experience them all over again with every re-watch. Aside from that, it’s a solid episode. It’s got quite a few things that a like, including the only Marley/Jake/Ryder scene I not only can stand, but actually enjoy watching.
What I Like:
I can’t even list all of the amazing one-liners in this episode because this review would be like ten pages long, but here are my favourites:
“Ain’t nobody got time for that”
“Ryder kissed me” “Was he any good or did his enormous donkey teeth bite into your lips?”
“Is that a garage door opener?”
“What about Brody’s vote? Or, do drug dealers not get to vote?”
“She was going all ACDC”
“Oh, okay, I like how guys pretend to be all accepting about everything, but when your friend suddenly shows up in your home, moves in, and goes through all your stuff, you’re offended?!”
“If I were you I would forget the hair and lead with the wheelchair thing.”
“Aw, not even She’s Having a Baby? Because you always cry at the end when Elizabeth McGovern has the baby.”
“We should do The Artist so we don’t have to sing.”
For once an episode that has a main Will Schuester storyline that doesn’t make me want to die. Because it feels right that he would have a lot of screen time in this episode. Thankfully it doesn’t do what “I Do” and “Yes/No” does, and sideline him in his own fucking plot.
The “Unchained Melody” scene. It’s so goddamn clever.
Santana is so fucking funny in this episode. BUT, she also manages to be really sweet to Rachel when Rachel starts crying (even if you can tell on her face that she has no idea what to do about a sobbing Rachel Berry falling into her arms).
We finally get to see how Kurt is feeling about his break-up with Blaine. It’s actually kind of refreshing that we get his perspective after the events of “I Do”, since all season long he’s been sidelined while Blaine’s feelings get explored deeply. It makes me so happy to see Kurt get a nice little storyline relating to his feelings for Blaine vs his relationship with Adam.
I’ve always found it hilarious that Adam is more upset about the fact that Kurt used to sing “Come What May” with Blaine than he is about Kurt and Blaine hooking up at the wedding (which he very clearly is aware of).
I always did think Kurt and Adam are cute, so it’s nice we at least got one episode exploring how they are together before Glee flushed Adam and Kadam down the toilet.
The little detail about the boombox being Blaine’s. Because of course he’d have a boombox.
What I Don’t Like:
Finn still acting like Will and Emma’s relationship fell apart because of him, when it’s very clear that him kissing her is so far from Emma’s mind. Like, chill, dude. Stop trying to make everything about you.
Santana making a joke about Rachel becoming bulimic. It feels especially awful considering Glee is just coming out of a multiple episode long arc about a girl dealing with bulimia.
The show is still trying to sell a Kitty/Marley frenemy deal, when at this point it should just be going for the friendship angle. I don’t know why they kept trying to make Kitty seem conniving for so long? She never tells anyone about Marley and Ryder, so what was the point of making it clear she’s just there for the gossip and not because she cares about Marley? It just makes her seem unnecessarily mean, and Marley unnecessarily dumb.
Songs:
You’re All the World to Me: As a song, I’m not a fan, but I do think the performance is really cool. They did a good job with it.
Shout: I don’t care for this song. The more times I watch this episode, the more it feels like they only added this number in so that the 500th number wouldn’t be “Come What May” because they wanted to avoid shipper bullshit (which was already going on since quite a few Finchel fans were mad that their couple didn’t get to sing “Come What May”). Like, seriously, what does this number add to the episode? Nothing, is the answer.
Come What May: I have a love-hate relationship with this cover. Moulin Rouge is one of my all time favourite movies, and I’ve always loved “Come What May”. When they announced Klaine would be singing it, I basically lost my shit. And then they released the audio and… they cut half the fucking song. Seriously. It went from an almost five-minute long song to three and a half minutes. My favourite parts got cut. I seriously don’t understand why they fucking did that. I bet you anything that if Finn and Rachel or literally any straight couple had sang this song that they wouldn’t have cut it. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND. But all that being said, I really love the in-episode performance. It’s like they knew we’d be pissed they cut out half the song so they threw us a bone by letting them perform the whole recorded version in the episode. It’s an awesomely emotional scene, especially when it pans out and you see that it’s Kurt’s fantasy, not Blaine’s. But, ugh. I’m still mad that they cut half the fucking song.
Old Time Rock and Roll/Danger Zone: I like this one! It’s fun and they did a good job of mashing these songs up.
Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend/Material Girl: Like, honestly, they didn’t even try. They ripped this right out of Moulin Rouge. They literally kept the line “Talk to me Harry Zidler,” instead of changing it to the original “Talk to me Harry Winston”. There’s obviously a few other moments that are very obviously from the movie, but that’s the most obvious one to me. I wouldn’t have minded if they’d just done this as a musical performance, but they did it as an assignment for mash-up week, which implies they had to make their own mash-ups, which implies that the girls mashed up these two songs on their own. This has always annoyed me so much.
In Your Eyes: This is one of two Will Schuester solos that I actually really like (the other being “Sway”). It always makes me tear up, and I think he sounds fantastic.
Unchained Melody: I LOVE THIS SONG. Like I said earlier, I think the whole scene is so goddamn clever. Having Marley come out of the scene and watch herself with both guys, especially knowing the Ryder stuff is all in her head. It shows her conflict so fucking well, and is just really cool. I love this cover, and I love this scene. Basically the only scene that involves all that nonsense that I actually appreciate.
Footloose: This is a good song, but it feels like one song too many. We’re at eight, now. Oh my god. Stop singing. Just let it end, for the love of god. ALSO this falls into the same trap that “Anything Can Happen” did: it’s so fucking upbeat, but we left off on a really intense note with Will and Finn. Feels like way too much a shift in tone.
Final Thoughts: God, this episode makes me laugh. I named a few of my favourite lines earlier, but seriously, there’s so many. Santana especially kills it in this episode, although Sugar has some pretty funny lines too. For once I don’t feel like the Will/Emma story is being forced, which makes me able to enjoy it. Plus, we finally get to see a bit of Kurt’s side of the break up, which was way too long coming. Overall just a really fantastic episode, with honestly very few things that annoy me.
#ultimate glee ranking#obviously i love this set of episodes since 13-15 are literally in order on my ranking#didn't even realize when i made the ranking LOL

I know you're a big x-men fan (possibly an understatement?), so do you mind me asking if you have any thoughts on the upcoming Jean Grey movie? I don't know enough about her in the comics to really know what to expect (though I do very much like Sophie Turner)
So, with the caveat that I actually did not know this movie was being made until you sent this ask and I cannot find even a teaser trailer for it (I strongly suspected that this was bullshit for a second, until I found some articles), here are Some Thoughts.
First off, Apocalypse was actually my favorite X-Men movie in a very long time--I liked First Class, and the very first Singer X-Men has some nostalgia value, but Apocalypse actually felt like a damn team movie, which was a thrilling change of pace. That being said, every time they announce a new X-Men movie I live a few hours in existential despair about adaptations of my all-time favorite comics characters, and I usually set aside a few hours to have a crisis before I actually go see the thing, and a few more to watch X-Men Evolution afterward. I was actually so frustrated I cried when they announced Logan. I still went to see it! I did! But I spent a couple days fuming about how much damage the movies have done to my love for Wolverine, first.
That being said.
Things I am Tentatively Excited About
Clearly they have already figured out that Dark Phoenix needs to be the Whole Entire Plot. None of this “Also let’s talk about the Cure” nonsense. Don’t half-ass two huge plotlines, whole ass one huge plotline.
Apparently they’re taking extra time in post to do the effects, so hopefully it’ll be VISUALLY dazzling, regardless.
I LOVED Sophie Turner as Jean Grey in Apocalypse and I’m so, so glad they’re going to keep her going as the Star Of The Show. She did a great balance of ‘I’m going to do what needs to be done because I’m the one who can do it’ and ‘oh BOY am I ever screamingly terrified of my powers’, which is really what I like to see in any character at all, but especially Jean Grey. There’s a fine line to walk between ‘character with legitimate fears about what embracing their powers could turn them into’ and ‘Girl who is Afraid Of Herself and needs to be Encouraged’, and I think Ms Turner did an amazing job walking that line.
Speaking of being afraid of one’s powers, I actually also loved Scott in Apocalypse, he had a real personality and that’s depressingly rare in Scott Summers. Please don’t be mean to him, he’s a great character, just because he’s not a delinquent doesn’t mean he’s this featureless Fun Ruiner. I thought his dynamic with Jean had a lot of promise and I’m hopeful that they get some mileage out of that.
I think Hugh Jackman has gone into witness protection from the X-Men franchise, so probably no Logan/Jean/Scott love triangle, which--thank you God and also Jesus, I’m Over that love triangle and I have been since I was eight.
I don’t know if they’re planning to have Storm, Kurt, or Jubilee in the movie, but I also loved all of them and would really be thrilled to see them. I have higher hopes about Storm than the others.
All I want out of this is a good Scott/Jean dynamic, everything else is second fiddle and lower. Please, after all these fucking X-Men movies, give me a good Scott/Jean dynamic.
Things I am Already Dreading
Hoo boy, folks, as you may have deduced from my above comment about Jean Grey, the plot of “I’m afraid of my powers” can get into some distasteful areas preeeeeeeetty quick. If they’re determined to go the route of ‘Jean has these abilities within her purview unassisted, but she’s unable to control them’ they’re going to be getting into territory that could go phenomenally well or astoundingly badly.
As mentioned above, if this is straight up and down issue of Jean having these powers as a natural part of her skill set, that’s fine, but please God if you’re doing that and you still want to delve into the fact that, hey, yeah, Jean Grey has some real issues, just don’t be a dick about it. I’m not even asking for a sensitive take on PTSD and the idea of being traumatized by your own brain in the most literal sense, I’m just asking for not being an ass.
I just want a movie with some fucking aliens. They don’t seem to have any fucking aliens. The Phoenix Force is a fucking alien space thing. Give me some fucking space shit, it has been so many movies and yet I have no space shit.
If this is a movie about how Charles Xavier is a bad person and/or an idiot, I’m going to have a stroke. Listen. He allowed a child to live her fucking life by closing off powers she was wildly unprepared to handle, and helped her adjust bit by bit. That doesn’t make him a fucking monster and I am deeply over the take that Xavier is a hypocrite, a fool, and somehow the bad guy. Just because Magneto’s philosophy isn’t strictly speaking wrong does not make Magneto right, and it does not make Xavier stupid for trying for a better outcome. Believing that life is valuable is never the wrong call--which, incidentally, is a philosophy I learned from the fucking X-Men.
Things About Which I am Undecided
They’re planning to have Magneto in it which...look, y’all, I love Ian McKellan with a love that is true and pure, but having Mags in Last Stand was a questionable decision at best, tied into the frankly Bad decision to do the Cure plot as well as Dark Phoenix. I enjoy Fassbender’s Magneto and like his dynamic with Xavier very much, and would normally be pleased to see them be Tense at each other some more. However. Last Stand has made me permanently skeptical of having Magneto in a Dark Phoenix narrative.
Like I said, they don’t have the Shi’ar or any space shit at all, as far as I can tell, which. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I’ll be curious to see how they do the plot without that component, because, again, Last Stand went poorly.
The cast, particularly Sophie Turner, say that this film is “more emotionally-laden and grounded” and oh my God guys, that could go so well or it could be a train wreck. You know what else was supposed to be emotionally laden? Civil War. I think we are all learning about my opinions on that subject.
It’s gonna have Mystique in it, which--listen. I understand that she’s a good obvious parallel to Xavier, in that her powers are physically obvious and his are not, et cetera et cetera, but I never reeeeeeally cared that much about Mystique prior to First Class and I can’t say that Days of Future Past (FUCK DoFP) or Apocalypse really kept up my interest. So. Like. I care a lot more about any of the other options for a focus character.
I want some good Xavier and Magneto interactions, if Magneto’s going to be there anyway. I do NOT want this to be another movie about Xavier and Magneto’s relationship delicately supported by another character undergoing a much more interesting plot.
Things You Can Expect Regardless of Actual Film Quality
I’m gonna write some posts. It’s inevitable. They will either be rhapsodies about my love for the film or wrathful breakdowns of all my complaints.
I’ll probably write some fic. I’m still really happy with limitations of wax, which takes place after Apocalypse, and I have that long-ass post-canon Evo-verse fic in the works still (pushing 60 pages). I like talking about the X-Men.
If Kitty Pryde and Piotr Rasputin are in this movie for 0.0001 seconds, I regret to inform you that you will all be hearing A Great Deal about them.
I will continue to be Not Interested in Charles Xavier/Erik Lensherr.
So, uh...those are my thoughts.
I love the Dark Phoenix arc, I think I should say that as a closer. On a wider level, wildly overpowered characters are really interesting to me, largely because everyone’s terrified of writing them and therefore most versions feel very unique. On a more specific level, I think the comic concept of the Phoenix Force becoming addicted to life, addicted to the experience of being alive, and shattering star systems just to see what the sparks of the planets taste like as they fade out--I think that’s a gorgeous story. A tragedy, to be sure, the Trojan War against one woman, with casualties spent as carelessly as sand, but a gorgeous tragedy. If they do a good job with Jean, I’m sure I’ll be just as game for it.
Y’all I’m gonna write a fic after this movie called “terahelen (serious inroads on the welfare of the galaxy)” and it’s going to be the most upsetting tragic shit about Scott and Jean that I can possibly pump out.

Some Things You Have To Work For (don’t give up on the dream)
CHAPTER THREE
“’Ro?”
“Yes, Laura?”
“Would you answer a why, please?”
“A question. Certainly, if I can.”
“Whyfor is the words from Lo-gan on Laura silver, and the words from Kurt golden?”
Ororo took a deep breath, handing Laura a plate to dry. Logan and Kurt had been called away on a mission, and the two were alone. “Soulmarks come in two colors,” she began. “Silver means platonic, a deep, abiding love but not one that is particularly…romantic.”
“And golden means mating.” Laura’s tone was very matter of fact as she looked up at Ororo. “You and Lo-gan’s are golden.”
“Yes,” Ororo said, shrugging. The girl was at least sixteen, the tests said so; she needed to talk about sex. It was healthy. “Logan and I are lovers.”
“Does that mean…Kurt…”
“If you both want to, yes,” Ororo agreed. “But, and I want you to listen to me very carefully now; you are not old enough, according to the law, to make those decisions, especially since Kurt is thirty. He is an adult, you are not.”
“Is mating fun?”
“I…” Ororo huffed. “Not mating. Mating is what animals do. Humans have sex, or make love.”
“Does the golden words mean never can have sex with anyone else?” Laura asked, and Ororo shook her head.
“No. But they do mean that if you should ever decide to have sex with Kurt, that you may bond. And bonding is…it’s a psychic link with the other half, a magic and a mystery that no one really understands.” She struggled to put it into words…”Once you bond with your soulmate,” she said, her voice gentling, “you will never be alone. Not truly. No matter whether he is on the other side of the world, or the other side of the galaxy. He is always there, always a part of you, always.”
“And when Laura dies, or Kurt dies? What happens?” Ororo swallowed hard; that was something she did not like thinking of. Logan’s mutant gifts meant he might be all but immortal, and they had had long, painful discussions about what had happened when his former soulmates, gray faded words on his back and cheek, hidden behind his sideburns, had died. And since Laura seemed to have Logan’s powers…
“It will hurt,” Ororo replied at last. “It will hurt very, very badly. You will do better to ask Logan about that; he has…he has lived through it before.”
“Laura will,” Laura agreed, her face solemn. “It is a thing that has to have talking about. Because missions are danger.”
“Missions are dangerous, you’re right. But Kurt is very good at what he does, and so is Logan. And so am I.” Tentatively, Ororo reached out, placing one hand on Laura’s shoulder and drawing the girl close. “We will do all we can to ensure that that doesn’t happen, Laura.”
“But it does. Death happens. Happens lots. Accident happens, bad timing, can’t always count on luck, have to be good, have to be better than good, have to be best. Or take dirt nap.” She jerked under Ororo’s hand, shoulders trembling. “Sorry, sorry, sorry. Bad…thoughts from before.”
“Memories,” Ororo supplied. “Did…did the people who had you before…did they have you go on missions, Laura?” She hadn’t talked much about her past to anyone, save that she didn’t want or like doctors, and didn’t trust them at all; she had subconsciously popped all six of her claws while watching her tablet at the sight of a doctor in a white coat, though it had been a children’s show.
Laura nodded jerkily, looking down at the sink. “Laura and Trainer. Trainer for back up. Laura…Laura succeeded, every time, but hard not good much to learn.”
“I know,” Ororo agreed softly. “It is hard to learn to fight. And,” she paused, swallowing. “To kill.”
“Laura does not like it. Not…not like they wanted her to.”
“No. I don’t think you did.” Slowly, Ororo rubbed Laura’s arm in what she meant as a soothing gesture. “Most people don’t.”
“Some do.” The whisper was small, and Ororo was sure that if she’d had her head turned the other way, she never would have heard it at all.
“Kurt doesn’t. Logan…usually…doesn’t. He enjoys fighting. But most of the time, he does not enjoy killing.”
“Fighting can be fun,” Laura said, and Ororo chuckled.
“I have enjoyed it a time or two myself. But Laura…you know, don’t you, that no one will make you join the teams?” Laura looked up, puzzlement on her face. “The X-Men, Laura. If you do not wish to fight, no one will make you.”
“No…no, Laura wants to help. Laura is good at fighting, that is not what makes the thoughts at night. Laura is…” she frowned, a slight growl rising from her throat, one that Ororo and Logan had learned meant she was frustrated. “Laura does not know. Laura worries right now, Kurt is not near, Lo-gan is not near. Laura is afraid because they are fighting, and Laura is not there to protect them, to help them.”
“Oh, darling, I know.” Ororo’s grip tightened a bit on Laura’s arm. “I know. And Logan’s hotheaded, he’ll just rush into things, and Kurt will follow him, because they are soulmates, too, silvers. But so far, they have always come home; I have no doubt they will come home this time, too.”
“Almost there!”
Shadowcat’s voice rang in Logan’s earpiece as he ducked a punch, swung his fist up into the guard’s gut and popped his claws, twisting his fist before bringing it back out, popping them back again. “Might wanna hurry,” he muttered, knowing that she would hear. “We’re gonna have comp’ny real soon, darlin’.”
“Not long. Two minutes.”
“Two real minutes or two Kitty minutes?” Gambit asked, and Logan chuckled soundlessly as he prowled up the corridor, watching for more guards. An old scent pricked at his nostrils, and he laid his head against the wall, smelling the layers of scent.
“Aww, hell,” he growled. “Elf.”
“Ja?” Kurt answered.
“They had her here a while back. Kitten, look for Little Bit in those files, pull those, we might need’em.”
“Copy,” Shadowcat answered. “Nightcrawler?”
“Ja.” An edge had entered into Kurt’s voice, an edge that Logan’s lips pulled back from his teeth in a shallow imitation of pleasure to hear.
“Should I give the drive to you, then, and you can get it home, or --“
“Nein. Wolverine and I will cover the extraction,” Nightcrawler answered tersely. “Wolverine, your coordinates, please.”
“Hallway K, intersection 19. Don’t damn jump, Elf, got hostiles.”
“Understood. After, then?”
“Yeh. After.”
Logan and Kurt watched from a few miles away as the facility burst into flames, the explosion rippling the ground under their feet. “What do you think Kitty found?” Kurt said, squatting down, his eyes bright in the moonless night.
“No tellin’. Ain’t none of it gonna be good, though.” Logan spat to the right. “Fuckin’ assholes.”
“Nein. None of it will be good.” Kurt’s fist rose and fell, punching the desert sand. “Unt I am not -- not sure --“
“Don’t know how you’ll take it, just know you need t’know it. Yep.” Logan took a cigar from his inner pocket, popped a match. “Sucks.”
“Jawohl.”
“She’s safe at home, though. ‘Ro’s with her, ain’t nobody gettin’ hold of Lil’ Bit again.”
“I would feel better if she were at the mansion.”
“Yep. Me, too. But she ain’t ready for all the folks. We know that. She’s fine now. Far as I’m concerned, she always will be.” Logan drew the smoke deeply into his lungs, reveling in the burn. “Y’all might have to not live at th’ mansion. She ain’t never gonna be real good with folks.”
“No. No, I know that. But that is something we can worry about in the future.” Nightcrawler rose. “Shall we go?”
“Ready when you are, pard.”
The sun was just beginning to brighten as the two entered the cabin, both careful of the noise; Laura and Ororo were snuggled together on the couch under Wolverine’s plaid blanket, Grimm’s Fairy Tales a few inches from Ororo’s outstretched hand.
“Ain’t that a picture,” Logan muttered, and Kurt smiled.
“It is what we fight for,” he said quietly. Laura began to stir, her nose flaring several times before her eyes fluttered slowly open.
“Lo-gan,” she mumbled. “Kurt.”
“Yep. We’re home, Li’l Bit. Come on, let’s get you and y’mama to bed now.” Logan crossed the room, stopping to kiss Ororo’s forehead. “Come on, darlin’. It ain’t but a little after five, let’s all go to bed till noon.”
“I would not argue with you,” Ororo said sleepily, stretching as Logan helped Laura up. She wobbled a bit, but stood up and hugged him tightly.
“Kurt?” She said as Logan grasped Ororo’s hands, pulling her to her feet. “May I please to have a hug?”
“Of course,” Kurt agreed with a glance to Logan; he seemed wrapped up in ‘Ro at the moment, so he took the few steps to allow the girl to wrap her arms around him. She smelled…oh, she smelled lovely, like honey and pears and cream…
“Ro-Ro. The nice purple and white flowers again?” Laura asked, her voice slightly muffled as her nose grazed Kurt’s neck.
“Ah…lilacs,” Ororo provided.
“You smell as lilacs,” Laura told him, pulling away and looking up. “Good smells.”
“Thank you,” Kurt managed to wrangle from his suddenly tight throat. And he was the great romancer? Ye gods. But she was his best friend’s….daughter, of course it was awkward…
“Come on. Bedtime,” Logan ordered.
“I am glad you are home safe, too,” Laura said softly, then padded toward the hallway, followed by Logan and Ororo, leaving Kurt in the living room by himself. He bedded down on the couch, his tail flicking lazily, and laid awake for a long time before finally drifting off to sleep.

Tail au (final part)
N/A: Merciful short if we´re lucky here. Tied up some looses ends here.
@djinmer4 @dannybagpipesarecalling @bamfoftheundead @everykurt
Things never stay the same, is one of the great truths in life- Amanda reads the Call of Zaorva´s books enough to know about this and how is futile to fight changes life throw at you- and Amanda can only rethink about what she once considered her only truth. Magic comes with a few rules and Amanda is one to follow at least a few rules.
"Things are changing!" Amanda speaks softly as the wind gentle lifts of her hair lock and directs her attention to Lance. The odd couple-if the word can be used here- surprised everyone. Literally everyone.
Raven Darkholme was not pleased. Her friends are not amused and his friends are less so. And this prompts them to make out and date even more. Are they soulmate? Not really. They like to make out and Amanda does not seem to care much for Brotherhood and their future.
"Yeah, they sure are...the X- geekies called us to live with them" Lance replies as the odd couple is in public. His eyes trail to Amanda to see her reaction. Will she fangirl over the X-men.
"Even...Kurt offers a place?" she asked curiously and Lance rolls his eyes at such silly question. The Brotherhood did an investigation on Amanda-of course they would, they love to meddle with each other's lives and care deeply for each other even if Pietro denies- and it seems she was(not sure if is in the past here) a fangirl fo Kurt Wagner.
"He has no real power in the X-men...if Kurt wants me there or not, it means shit" Lance explains and as much people seem to think he cusses all the time. In reality, he rarely does so.
"So you´ll be an X-men?" she asked again. Trying to fish more information out of Lance.
"And you? Still on your Hocus Pocus?" Lance asked turning the tables on Amanda who is indignant at such label to her magic-her power and her new religion- rolls her eyes and fix her shirt and tries to leave.
"Hey, don´t go...not yet" Lance pipes in and Amanda huffs but stays. "The year is almost over. Do you have plans for your future?"
"No. and You?"
"No" he lies.
_________________________________________________________________________________________
Magneto was furious to know Lance was sleeping with a human, yet, once knowing this human has some magic powers- related to Zaorva, well, Magneto is no expert in magic, but, if a human can wielder magic then she is worth something in his eyes- and manages to congratulate Lance for having such fine date.
Yet, berates Pietro for dating a normal human girl. Natasha. And this is too strange and wrong for the Brotherhood to accept in silence. So, the Brotherhood manages to attack Magneto.
Todd, Blop, Pietro and Lance are no match for someone like Magneto, but, maybe the idea was never to fully defeat him physically but rather to pass a message that they are quitting Brotherhood.
If Magento got the memo or not...is another story.
___________________________________________________________________________________________
Kurt will never like Lance for many obvious reasons. Yet, Kurt tries to be a good catholic boy and not let his jealousy cloud his judgment, not all mutants will be your best friend, however, it does not mean you have to be enemies.
Scott does not seem to be all happy to see Lance either, yet, Ororo is the leader and she is the one in charge of this idea. "We are offering a place among us if you so want...no more fights, no more enemies!"
Pietro is not happy with this suggestion. "Now? Jeez, thank you, but no thank you. We´re done with the X-men. We don´t want to stay here anymore...we´re tired of this" Pietro confessed looking now more defeated than arrogant. "We´re tired of following my father´s plans and we don´t want to follow Prof X´s plan" he concludes as the others back him up.
Ororo does not looks alarmed nor looks defeated. She nods and speaks again. "Then where are you all going to stay form now on?" Ororo asked mentally checking to have another chat with Prof X about his methods.
"Shield!"
"Sounds a better option. We hope in the future we can fight side by side"
"Well...keep waiting then"
___________________________________________________________________________________________
Magneto is not pleased and in the last attempt to get control over Pietro and the Brotherhood and is his really last attempt, Magento release Wanda Maximoff from the mental institution where she was...in his mind, Pietro would do anything to be with his sister.
Yet, Wanda leaves his side and is with Pietro-lack of options is what she claimed- working for the Shield.
Magneto is less than pleased. Magneto needs to rethink his strategy. And the X-men will pay for this.
___________________________________________________________________________________________
Amanda is learning the magic of Zaorva´s cult and she broke up with Lance-again, they were an odd couple- and is dating another mutant(one who took Kurt and Kitty´s advice and is showing his mutation proudly. The boy has elfic ears) and is taking her time to learn magic.
"I thought you wanted Kurt Wagner?" her reflection once asked still smiling as she does.
"Things change. Maybe I´ll always want him. Maybe I won´t...either way, things change and I want to enjoy the change...don´t fight. Embrace it"
_____________________________________________________________________________________
Kurt and Kitty are often seeing each other and spend time together. His blue form is gaining some fans. Some people are loving, while yes, some are loving too much and the furry talk is a bit uncomfortable...
"No pitchfork" Kurt mutters as he´s still holding Kitty´s hand.
"No pitchfork" she repeats his words.
So, maybe it was the fact that his blue face is so well accepted(not a Utopic reality. People still look at him funny, but, Kurt is learning this is not important for him right now. Their stares can´t hurt him now) that makes him bold to confess something.
"Katzchen...I want to say something, I ...like you"
"I like you too"
"No, not like that. I mean, I really, really like you"
"Kurt, I know and I really, really like you. Silly elf"
And a kiss was given as their tails are intertwined now. What the future has in store for then? No idea, but they´ll face together.

Okay this is super cool, you guys are amazing, can you guys sort the characters of x-men?
We absolutely love these movies, and we are absolutely thrilled to sort them, we hope you enjoy! -Abigail and MoMo
Charles Xavier/Professor X: Ravenclaw
Charles is the epitome of acceptance; he doesn’t care if you have an 11th toe or two heads, he thinks you are wonderful just the way you are. He is also very curious and wants to learn how each special mutant’s powers work. He spends countless years researching mutations and all sorts of different things, proving his drive to learn. This makes Charles a Ravenclaw!
Scott Summers/Cyclops: Gryffindor
Scott is undoubtably a huge rebel. If someone wants him to do something, he (most of the time) really doesn’t want to, but if it means saving the day, he will agree in the end. He’s always extremely brave, and uses his powers even though he doesn’t have very much confidence in them. He takes Charles’s car and goes to the mall without even thinking, wanting to “share a new experience with Kurt”. Much like his late brother Alex, Scott has to be a Gryffindor!
Bobby Drake/Iceman: Hufflepuff
Bobby will do ANYTHING to protect his friends, even if it means giving up his life. He loves his friends and a lot of the people he meets, and is very accepting of mutants, no matter how dangerous their abilities could be. We see this in earlier movies, as he pursues a romantic relationship with Rogue, who can’t share any physical contact with him (or else he could die), but he loves her so much that it doesn’t matter to him. He does his best to protect the people he loves, and so he has to be a Hufflepuff!
Warren Worthington III/Angel: Slytherin
Angel is a very difficult character to sort because he jumps around a lot and is played by multiple different people. He is first seen cutting off his wings in the bathroom, which I would think is ambition; his goal is to be accepted and to not let anyone know about his wings, which he believes are an embarrassing feature, and so he is so ambitious he’s willing to cut of his own wings. But as he grows up he starts to understand and accept his mutation, and is frustrated by his father’s attempt to encourage him to remove his mutation. But, in the other timeline, he is also Slytherin: he is very self-preserving and forces Nightcrawler to fight to save his own life. He loves glory and attention. So Angel has to be a Slytherin!
Hank McCoy/Beast: Ravenclaw
Though Hank has a lot of trouble accepting himself and his special skills, he has to be a Ravenclaw. Hank doesn’t enjoy his looks and tries to “cure” them; he thinks of all these creative innovative ways to “cure” his appearance. He’s also very intelligent and finds a way to make it so that Charles can walk, even though it impairs his ability to use his skills. Hank has to be a Ravenclaw!
Alex Summers/Havok: Gryffindor
Alex is incredibly brave, as he runs at things head-on with seemingly no fear. He is also very stubborn and strong-minded, and is really not afraid to give people a piece of his mind even if they disagree. Alex is even willing to give up his life in the most heroic way by protecting his friends, even though it may not have been completely necessary. So Alex has to be a Gryffindor!
Kurt Wagner/Nightcrawler: Hufflepuff
Kurt cares incredibly deeply for those he cares about; even after just meeting Angel, he doesn’t want to fight him, and only makes the decision to fight back when Angel reveals that if he doesn’t fight both of them would be killed, and when Kurt ends up having the blame for Angels wings being burnt, he apologizes profusely and is very guilty. Though he isn’t always definite in his abilities, and sometimes lets that hold him back, he is willing to literally drain himself to save his friends. So, Kurt has to be a Hufflepuff!
Logan Howlett/Wolverine: Gryffindor
Logan is a sort of a mashed up mix of Hufflepuff and Gryffindor, but ultimatly ends up in Gryffindor. Logan’s lived many lifetimes, and although he is an animal at heart, he saves everyone he can. Sometimes more messy than others, he has lost his memory many times but he is still loyal to the team. He’s a lone wolf at heart, but protects his team. He has saved millions of people throughout the decades. He’s brave and is willing to give up his life for those he loves. So he has to be Gryffindor!
Ororo Munroe/Storm: Ravenclaw
Storm is incredibly wise, and after her difficult childhood and bad choices, she is able to have that ability. She is also very accepting, much like Charles, and refuses to believe that any type of mutant ability is bad or a curse that needs to be cured. Storm is very intelligent as well; she knows that humans are dangerous to mutant lives and has a very real fear of them. In the end, she has to be Ravenclaw!
Kitty Pryde: Hufflepuff
Kitty is one of the most heroic characters in the x-men movies, though she doesn’t always get the credit she deserves. Though it’s sorta a tossup between Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff, I have to go with Hufflepuff. In Days of Future Past, even though she knows that sending Logan into the past could ruin the already terrible lives of her and her friends, she knows she has to take that risk to save their lives. Also, this determined girl literally continued to hold Logan in the trance sort of thing keeping him in the past, after being slashed by Logans claws pretty badly, and continues to do it till she is forced away by Rogue. So, Kitty has to be Hufflepuff!
Anna Marie/Rogue: Slytherin
Rogue is a pretty complex character who has a difficult beginning with her mutant abilities, making her a hard character to sort, but Rogue has to be Slytherin. She’s very clever, self-preserving, and she uses her skills to do just that. In multiple movies, she uses her special skills to save herself and others. In one of the movies, she scares Logan and he subsequently claws her; while barely even thinking, she touches him, thus saving herself. She also does this when Logan goes into the future: she takes Kitty’s powers, thus keeping Logan in the trance, while making sure Kitty stays alive as well as all her friends. So she has to be a Slytherin!
Jean Grey: Ravenclaw
This girl is used to being different, and doesn’t really care very much about what people think of her. She is very intelligent and thinks of ideas well on the fly in order to do what she needs to do. As well, she is very curious; she opens the cage that holds the Wolverine and reads everyones minds. In the future, she grows up to fight for what she believes in as best she can. So she has to be a Ravenclaw!
Elizabeth Braddock/Psylocke: Slytherin
Psylocke is very ambitious and is willing to protect her employer to the fullest extent, and she is extremely loyal to them. When Psylocke chooses a side to be on, she is not changing her mind. She’s also very clever, finding different ways to survive any way she can. So Psylocke has to be a Slytherin!
Peter Maximoff/Quicksilver: Slytherin
Peter has a very laid-back attitude about a lot of things in life. He has little regard for the law and doesn’t care for rules. He’s also quite sassy, and even annoying to some people–mutant or not. When Logan, Charles, and Hank come to recruit him to their cause, he almost immediately asks “What’s in it for me?” and isn’t interested until then. While he also helps the team in X-Men: Apocalypse, he does so with his own personal goals and reasons. Due to these factors, Peter is a Slytherin!
Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto: Slytherin
Erik is a hard character to sort because he goes back and forth between two different sets of traits. He has a lot of trouble opening up to people from his difficult past. Erik is incredibly ambitious; when he thinks of something he wants to achieve, he won’t stop till he achieves it. But Erik is also extremely loyal, and though he as trouble deciding which side is the right way to go, he always comes back to the ones who initially helped him discover the true amount of power he possesses. Erik really has so much pent up pain and anger, leaving him easily manipulated and vulnerable. Erik has to be a Slytherin!
Raven Darkholme/Mystique: Slytherin
Raven is no stranger to pain or loss. She is somewhat ashamed of her unique looks, and constantly struggles to find out whose side she should be on; due to her past and her confidence issues, she is easily swayed between diplomatic Charles and forceful Erik. However, she is a strong, graceful fighter and extremely clever. She fights for the rights of mutants just like her using whatever means she sees necessary at the time, and that is why she’s a Slytherin!
