In the latest Exceptional X-Men, Kitty is coerced by Emma (and weirdly also her roommate, Priti, who is in fact just a roommate) into training the three mutant kids she met in the first two issues. When I saw this flashback with three images of Kurt in it, I was feeling pretty okay, like maybe she remembers they were good friends, maybe she'll remember more about how close they were. She is asked by Thao (green tanktop) if this was how Kitty trained when she was a kid, and Kitty thinks back and says basically no. But this is what she thought of.

And then.

We got this bullshit.

As Kitty helps Trista (Bronze) learn about control, she compares Trista's power to that of "someone I love very much...and is one of the most gentle people I know."

Excuse me, Kitty are you referring to your ex-boyfriend Piotr Rasputin? The one who cheated on you with a women he could not verbally communicate with, who then died; who constantly put the world over you in his list of priorities; who beat your then-boyfriend Pete Wisdom to literally within an inch of his life; who while under the control of his evil brother murdered his girlfriend Kayla and buried her in the back yard? That one? That guy? That's the "gentle" guy you still fucking love?

Writers. I am begging you. Do your damn homework. Fans catch this shit and we don't enjoy it. Piotr *used* to be gentle-ish. He is no longer that. He cannot be described as a gentle person when he knowingly nearly committed murder. Yes, the second time he was under mind control but it still happened and to my knowledge no one has even mentioned it, including Piotr. Did he, once he was free of that control, ever express remorse for killing Kayla? Did he express remorse for his role in destroying Krakoa? Yeah, I know, he was under mind control--but we've seen Kurt express remorse and guilt for what he did under mind control. Has Piotr? Piotr is a jerk. He doesn't and never actually loved Kitty, he loved the idea of her being at his beck and call, worshiping him, popping out hundreds of babies for him in a tradwife life on a farm in Russia.

Let. This. Drop.

Stop trying to bring them back together. Just please stop.

Won't cite names here but a person approach me about a Kurtty fic I did, Emissary au, to say how the fic is great and it inspired her to painting and would like to know if she can do a painting/draw of my fic.

She throw me this nudge of info later in our talks bc so far I was under the impression it was the sacred bond of "artist saw a fic so good...she needs to do a fanarts of it" but nope.

Found her a bit cagey and can't prove anything nor I'm accused of anything...
