A lonely tree on the path to Hirschberg. I like the gold and black colour combination and as soon as I saw this tree and the relatively darker background with the trees in the shade, this final image was formed in my mind. Helm des 17. Juni by Pascal Volk Via Flickr: Am 17. Juni fuhr ich morgens mit dem Fahrrad zur Arbeit. Auf dem Weg stürzte ich. Neben ein paar Schürfwunden an Fingerknöchel und Knie erlitt ich zahlreiche Prellungen auf meiner linken Seite. Glücklicherweise trug ich einen Fahrradhelm, der meinen Kopf gut schützte. Am Helm sind Dellen und Kratzer sichtbar. Bei genauerer Betrachtung sind in den Kratzern sogar rote Spuren vom Belag des Radwegs zu erkennen. 

Leute, tragt bitte einen Helm beim Radfahren.

Andreas Fröhlich didn't have to go that hard on the german dub for Fight Club but I sure am glad he did.

Das Original hat eher ein slightly bored und zurückgehaltenen Erzähler, aber damn, die deutsche Version ist soo sexy.

Das liegt nicht daran, dass ich den Film 1000000 Mal gesehen hab und jede Zeile mitsprechen kann.

Probably one of the most impressive opera productions I ever saw. The Komische Oper Berlin built a pool inside of one hangar of former airport Tempelhofer Flughafen to be the "stage" for Henze's "das Floß der Medusa" (The Raft of the Medusa), staged by Tobias Kratzer.

They had the audience seat on both sides of the pool, and the orchestra at the end of the pool. The three main roles (Jean-Charles, Charon and the Death) as well as a very impressive choir were moving around the entire space, often surrounding/coming from/going to the audience.

The raft itself would decompose into multiple elements used to build different spaces onto the water, following the narration.

It was an incredible production already, and as an added bonus, a part of the cast held a pose on the draft as soon as the doors open, reproducing Théodore Géricault's eponymous painting while the audience took their seats.
