ORV—Not Supposed to Happen
➡ 〔Kim Dokja x AMAB! KPOP! Reader〕
➡ Letter Content: Where a kpop idol loves to read webtoon after practice. His group's holiday turns into a nightmare fest and now he struggles to accept his reality.
➡ Messenger Note: If I wrote a fanfic lol, TW: Mentions of death, murder, blood. I mean, it's the first scenario cmon.
---
How could the protagonist of ORV adapt so easily? How could he have thought so fast in the matter of a few minutes? How could he be so lucky?
Well, you weren't him.
You didn't have fourth wall like every fanfiction out there may suggest... Why not? You're just as well aware of this fictional world as Kim Dokja is, so why not you?
You asked these questions because unlike him, you had to follow the rules in the first scenario. You had blood on your hands.
The blood of a friend turned traitor. Now, you're desperate to have a peace of mind. Where else other than by the actual protagonist, Kim Dokja's side?
---
This wasn't how the holiday was supposed to go.
This wasn't a dream, you've tested it. The pain is real, the squeeze in your heart felt real, the blood trickling down from your cheek to the floor felt and so did the multiple wounds on your arms felt real.
【The constellations applaud your tenacity.】
This... Was supposed to be fictional, a fun little webtoon to read after practice.
So why were your friend... Your family sitting in a sea of their own blood? Why did you hold the knife and why was it lodged into your mates' head?
Why are your hands red?
Why are you trembling, crying?
【Congratulations! You're the only survivor in this room!】
【300 coins gifted for completion. 】
A scream echoed in the hotel room.
Was that screaming you?
Was that why your throat is parched?
Shit.
You let out a sob, your hands smudging the large window panes overlooking Seoul with red. Your body felt weak as if you were contracting the worst of covid-19's symptoms kind of weak. The 'running a 5 lap, 1000m marathon' kind of weak, the 'danced everyday, without sleep, without rests and without food for hours on end' kind of weak.
I mean, how could you not feel exhausted? You were roomed with the main dancer in your group who regularly exercised—in addition to that, one of the former gymnast champions in all of Japan.
It's a surprise you survived instead of him.
A weakling, only ever locking yourself in your room despite being the lead dancer just to get a chance of reading the ever-so-popular omniscient reader's viewpoint.
ORV in short.
You were close to the main dancer, someone who you won't name as a friend anymore; He who jumped at the butter knife and launched at you to survive. He who screamed for you to give in because he would make sure to avenge you.
Avenge you?
You weren't even dead.
Of course you'd fight for your life.
How could he attack you in your most vulnerable state? You thought you could trust him. He was your friend after all. He was supposed to protect you. How could he try and kill you?Ha. You didn't even know you had it in you to break his wrist, to pick up the knife and stab it through his head whilst he was strangling you.
You didn't know you had the guts in you to kill.
To kill your own.
You stumbled into the wall, your breathe barely catching the needed oxygen for you to survive as the sobs successfully slipped out through your lips.
Staggering, you approached the doorway. Dismissive that you would regret not collecting the items you needed for survival going forward as all there was in your mind was your other group members.
What about the leader and the youngest? What about the staff members and the assistant trainees? Are they alive? Are they dead? Did they kill to survive too?
Your hand twisted the doorknob, but you didn't open it.
"(Name)...? Y-you're alive?"
It's your leader. Your eyes were getting heavy, either way you willed yourself to look into theirs.
He must've been expecting him...
【The Constellation 'Blind Hunter with Lion Skin' is interested on how you will take care of this one. 】 【The Prophet whose prophecies were not believed bets that you will spare him. 】
"...Sunbae."
Your knees buckled below you. A headache forming in your head from the messages.
Luckily, your leader catches you, his hands trembling as well but his face steeled at your state.
"I... I killed him." You stuttered out, body flinching as his hands gripped your shoulders.
"Shh... It's okay now." His voice spoke ever so softly, as if you would break if handled roughly. He placed your head onto his shoulders as he rubbed your back in a comforting manner.
"He tried to—he went for me."
"I know. I know."
"I'm scared."
"I'll protect you. Your sunbae will take care of you." Liar.
His voice hitched.
He's as scared as you were.
His hands... They're red too.
Flashback? Idk yet, these two constellations are my fav.

awwww that’s both cute and sad @jehhskz 😭😭
i’m not sure what about my lore would be interesting but i am a major rave girl, have been for half a decade and at this point other than kpop (skz especially) it’s my whole life. i have been to 17 events and one of the biggest music fests in the world EDCLV back in may. it was amazing and now i crave going back like a literal crack head lol at a smaller fest back in 2019 my bf told me he loved me for the first time so maybe that’s why i hold such a special place for them 🩷🤷🏻♀️
idk if that was interesting but it’s all i can think of other than pure trauma 😂
tagging some babes @athforskz @seungfl0wer @palindrome969 @softkisshyunjin and all my lovelies who want to 💕
it's so weird to me that everyone on this website is a human person outside of their weird internet niche so rb this with a random bit of your lore

BACK again from the dead for another edition of I Review Kpop Performances At Western Music Festivals, today’s edition is possibly the most important one of all time it’s QUEEN’S OF THE UNIVERSE, THE LOVELY LADIES OF IVE!!!!!!!!!!
Where to fucking begin!!!! Let’s do the good the bad and the baddies.
THE GOOD: they sounded amazing. the vocals were THERE from all six members!!!! i didn’t think a single member of the group was slacking and i was actually very surprised by how strong gaeul and leeseo’s vocals came through and i FUCKING LOVED that they used hand mics the whole time!!!! yes ladies!!! i also really really really liked that they did what i would consider a very traditional kpop performance for a western fest. thinking to the other kpop acts ive watched, a lot of them are acts that are already formulated to appeal to western artists, like black pink and le sserafim and newjeans, but ive is like Thee Most Kpop A Group Can Get. they’re dressed like fairies, they have regimented, impressive choreography for every single song, they just really feel so classic (on that note justice for classic and wave not on the setlist) and I thought it was interesting and exciting to see it on a stage like lolla!!! as someone who has been in the field at the main stage at lolla more times than i can count, a truly engrossing and impressive performance like IVE’s would’ve knocked my fucking socks off
THE BAD: lollapalooza’s sound engineer should be taken out back and shot. the first like half of the performance was amazing and you could hear the girls very clearly over both the band and the backtrack and they were fucking killing it, and then at some point the ratchet up the sound of the band and drown out the girls entirely until it clears up A LITTLE later in the performance but not nearly enough to be able to hear them clearly which i was PISSED about. ALSO whoever did the band arrangements for this set can get fucked. making off the record sound like boring lounge music should be a crime punishable by death. speeding up the tempo for after like and then slowing it down on love dive were such weird and bad decisions like IF IT AINT BROKE DONT FIX IT WHY ARE YOU DOING THAT. sometimes i think live bands add to kpop performances but NOT THIS ONE i wish they would’ve just sent them out there with an instrumental backtrack, no voiceover, and let the girlies SING. UGH.
THE BADDIES: god fucking damn was i so pleasantly surprised by the STAGE PRESENCE from all of the girlies!!!!!!!!! as someone who has like very very very closely followed ive’s career since their debut it’s truly so wild to see how much they’ve grown as performers and how much confidence they have on stage!!!! i remember watching stages for eleven where you can tell they are petrified to make a single mistake or put one elbow out of their preassigned formation, and now to watch them at lolla being lose and fun and spontaneous and making each number their own is so great and i love it so much. special shoutout to gaeul who SLAYYYYYYED so fucking hard I couldn’t take my eyes off her she was ELECTRIC!!!!! also rei is a tried and true natural born PERFORMER you can tell she’s so comfortable on stage and she’s so fun and inviting muah muah muah love you miss rei my queen
Final review: I love IVE more than the rest of the world combined and I thought they absolutely crushed their lolla stage many fucking blessings
#favorite song: ascendio literally gave me full body chills it was so fucking GOOD#hearing Wonyoung yell ‘LOVE ME. DONT TOUCH ME.’ at the crowd sent me to another dimension#SO GOOD. UNBELIEVABLY GOOD.#least favorite song: the fucking icona pop cover that is so horrible I literally skipped through it bc I couldn’t take it#also that seemed to be the song they had the most trouble with in terms of sound mixing#which tracks bc the song is cursed#special shoutout: eleven is one of the best debut songs of all time in my opinion and still slaps so fucking hard two years later#final note: all this did is make me love IVE more and make me even more mad i didn’t get to see them live when they were on the west coast#ive please god come back soon PLEASE GOD i need to see liz sing IN PERSON.#text

an honest review of the world ep.2: outlaw purely from musical observation (not proofread)
opening remarks: as i'm preparing to plan terra incognita; a cyberpunk au that will include each member from the groups i write for (txt, enhypen, and ateez) later in the year and an aspiring cyberpunk: red ttrpg game master that is planning a campaign to play during the break, i've been exposed to many cyberpunk-esque songs such as synthwave, breakcore, and hyperpop to be added into playlists for them. ateez's last entry to the world series was one of them
concept-wise, i don't have many complaints because they are consistent and on the line with their growth. from the pirates, to zero aka prequel series to the pirates, to now where they are revolutionaries trying to voice out their movement with their music, the genres of music they took also follow with the growth. ateez now takes a whole new spin on a cyberpunk and futuristic kpop concept with a bit of western in outlaw. i expect songs like propaganda, sector 1, cyberpunk, and guerrilla with this release. a bit in-your-face sounded but smart techniques with harmony and percussion
let's start!
1.this world: a nice intro with the bass synth and getting up the high before it slows down to san's soft voice in verse 1, playing with the perception of rhythm and it is very cyberpunk. the chorus is a blaring of four chords while they chant then the post-chorus is an almost instrumental break with a drum machine. did i hear a harmonic minor(?) chord in the bridge? with it, love the new haunting color in the song. outro follows the intro, making it come back full circle. i almost couldn't recognize yunho's and seonghwa's voices here but i could hear how wooyoung has so many lines, good for him! jongho is killing the high notes in this song (i could also hear san belting a few layers behind?)
2.dune: i especially gasp when i saw the song title in the tracklist, especially with the association with dune the book series. so i expected a phryigian-sounding song akin to the deserts of arrakis, alas i get what i wanted.
the plucking strings layers make it bouncy (gonna probably be the whole theme of the ep) especially with the phryigian melody running in the voice sample. the low voices attack in the chorus giving a surprising and unexpected twist to the song before being replied to with jongho's booming high-tone belt. gosh the verses' instrumental is dirty af, i love it! san's chest voice to head voice falsetto in the pre-chorus is freaking great. the chorus does sound haunting in a way, kinda reminds me of the sandworms lurking under the sand lmao. the harmony comes in the bridge before mingi's voice crawls up and leads it and gave the torch to hongjoong. jongho singing along with the low voices in the chorus. okay... this song is great. nomads in cyberpunk will probably like this song.
3.bouncy (k-hot chilli peppers): the autotune fest of the album, for stylistic use ofc. but i just don't really like autotune in a song, especially in seonghwa's rap, but i'm gonna allow them to cause they use autotune like an instrument too. the anti-drop in the chorus before each layer of the instruments comes back before it fully comeback with high note autotune felt like the song is expanding. most of the guys sing in their lower tones is also great. also, YEOSANG BRIDGE LET'S GO! this song is joong's yeosang's and mingi's song! but for the performance, this song is definitely yunho's. i like the emptiness before verse 2 where mingi spits fire. jongho is used here as almost like a cosmetic to fill up the vibe, which is great cause it helps highlights the other members too (+ we know his vocals is crazy). ateez has literally mastered the dance break/party last chorus ever since pirate king, it might even be better than the one yg ent does for their artists.
4.django: tropical synth? hell no as seonghwa and yeosang come in blaring. the bouncy feeling came back with the synth around the lower part of the eq including with the bass. wooyoung's voice in the pre-chorus sounds so light that it gave a some sort of "hope" before being juxtaposed with yeosang's lower tone. what is that random yo in the middle of joong's rap? i giggled. what is that last chorus yunho?!?!??! the end of it emphasizes on the running bouncing bass synth that sounded kinda 2000's rnb, especially with the singing melody (kinda mary. j. blige family affair sounded)
5.wake up: the vocal fry technique between yunho and seonghwa before being attacked by a punchy synth as we stay with one synth line following through the verse before we meet the pre-chorus. the choice to use the rhythmic singing in the chorus and the flowing note that is lower in volume is giving creepy vibes; wooyoung leads it so well. and the harmony behind them increases before jongho comes it. hongjoong's rap is so fast it might rival eminem. and san's voice in verse 2? *chef's kiss*. jongho's "wake up" falsetto with the beating bass underneath it is enthralling in the best way and he gets higher in the last chorus wtf?!??!? imo, another stand out in the ep!
6.outlaw: gritty bass to start before mingi and joong rap duet. yunho in pre-chorus sounded so nice and jongho's entrance with the belt like a screaming angel as yeosang sings wtf?? that silence as we enter the chorus... how can they make anti-drop such a bop D: san's voice here is wtf so nice. his voice is sexy af, it's very lustful especially when he guides the chorus. the last chorus with seonghwa wtf?! did we just change the key? omg we did!!!!! and the choir underneath the main voice makes me bop so hard
closing remarks: it definitely expands their own concept of cyberpunk-esque songs while being different from ep 1: movement. this definitely has the more western concept included and the reason why it's not as full of synth and in-your-face as the previous the world album. a bit calmer as ateez and atiny have settled down in the world, and the music also follows along. i think there are more standout songs music-wise other than bouncy but for the title track position, bouncy definitely has it with django being followed as a follow-up track (just like sacrifice's role is to bite me or devil by the window is for sugar rush ride)
the techniques they use here are great for vocal layers. vocal fry, chest to head, falsetto, and the fact that each of them has a timbre that is so recognizable it helps. but what they use stylistically is also their downfall. their usage of autotune kinda makes it hard to recognize who is singing but it is to be expected with a cyberpunk concept. i think autotune is also one of the highlights for bouncy but sometimes it kinda turns me off and is a bit excessive to put it in the verses with yunho and san. some of the songs have the layers so muddled that i couldn't hear what they are pronouncing (prominently with bouncy) other than that, i like it but it still doesn't compete with treasure ep 3 for my fav eps of theirs.
final ranking:
6.bouncy (k-hot chilli peppers) [what does it mean if the title track is ranked the lowest? it means that this album is good]
5.django
4.this world
3.outlaw
2.dune
1.wake up
small conclusion: hybe!!! this is what you'll get for having songs with bridges and consistent concepts. a good album! + the ateez production team might be on par with onf's monotree producers in creating cyberpunk-esque kpop songs!

I was going to put my comments in the tags but it got super long so I shall write it under the cut.
I think Exo's Tumblr fandom slowing down is due to a number of reasons.
Exo as a group is not releasing as much music and videos as they used to, and definitely not as much as the rest of the kpop industry, so there's not as many current events to drive discussion. Part of it is due to branching into solo work and part of it is enlistment.
As Exo branches out into solo activities, some fans may only have time to follow their faves (myself included 😔).
People move on. I got into Exo near the beginning of the pandemic and admittedly my interest in them has fizzled a bit. I used to be heavily interested in reading and writing fic, but I've kind of exhausted my thoughts on them, and in relation to #1, there hasn't been anything new (content or discussion) to challenge my thoughts or to get my brain juices flowing. (And I must admit that my attention has recently been taken by more active groups that are constantly bombarding us with content 😔) Nowadays, my participation in Exo fandom is mostly just checking out the music, checking out the update blogs on Tumblr, and sometimes watching their video content. Side note: I do appreciate the update blogs immensely because life gets busy and I don't have time to check out multiple sources...so I really do appreciate the aggregator blogs.
I suspect some other fans might have followed the same timeline as me, where I got into Exo near the beginning of the pandemic and was hit with a whole new world of music to listen to and stuff to watch. Now that it's been a few years, I've kind of caught up with most things so there's only new stuff to catch up on and back to #1, it's not so often now.
The fanbase is older. I think another comment mentioned that this age demographic may have other priorities and admittedly that's why I've slowed down too. I used to do more reaction posts but I've kind of stopped because they do take a bit of time 😅 It is a bit tiresome to constantly pause and screencap/react when watching, when I can just watch their videos once through and not have to pause and break up the pace.
I don't think Tumblr is as popular of a platform as it used to be. A few years ago, many fans left for Twitter, but since the decline of Twitter, I don't think a lot of people are coming back to Tumblr. But even if they are, I think people haven't gotten used to how to communicate with each other on Tumblr (different interface, different communication culture, etc). And I think people are definitely a bit shier now to send asks or DMs to other blogs here.
Unfortunately I'm not the kind of person who normally participates in fan fests so I can't really shed light on whether that would boost life into the fandom. (But it could definitely work! I do know some people who are more active on Twitter who still regularly sign up for events and such.)
I do think that conversations is the best way to boost activity and engagement though. It's way more fun talking to a person about fandom than just reacting to a photo.
I think another comment mentioned the Tumblr Community function. I'm not super familiar with how to use it yet but I think it functions a bit like Livejournal communities where you post directly to a board that is focused on a topic. I think that would be a great way to encourage people to discuss :3
To OP, I appreciate you putting out this message. Even when I started getting into Exo fandom, the Tumblr community wasn't too active (because most people had already moved on to Twitter) and I was often sifting through posts that were years old. But hopefully some ideas will be floated out there and this will encourage people to not be afraid to reach out to other fans.
So I can't be the only one who's noticed the decline in fanmade exo content here on Tumblr. We've gone from a fandom who's new posts could be measured in hours to a fandom who's posts have days....to weeks....to months....to even years for some specific tags.
We have had 6 solo album comebacks this year, 3 fancon tours, 2 solo concert tours, a myriad of festival concert appearances, youtube videos, magazine shoots, instalives, etc. Yet if you go to the exo tag it's mainly populated by archive blogs. And the nude bots, which....that's a whole other problem on its own. I digress. My point being, the tags, at least from what I've seen (I admit I haven't looked into the shipping tags) are being filled by the same handful of blogs yet given the high amount of source material, no one seems to be doing anything with it beyond archiving it.
Again this could just be because I didn't delve too deep or too far back, but it does have me wondering if part of the reason participation this year was down was simply because there's hardly anyone left.
There's been instances in the past where others have attempted to inject new life into the fandom so to speak, with....varying...level of success. The exo revival project being the first and most successful that comes to mind. I'm wondering what everyone else's thoughts are on the matter and if holding new fandom events might be a way to involve more people year round because I really do want to continue holding this event next year but if things keep going the way they have been there won't be anyone signing up.
Let me know what you think, ideas you might have, reblog this and tag your mutuals to get them involved in the discussion. I have a few ideas that I've pilfered from other fandoms, watch alongs. Fic bingo. Theres valentines exchanges. Fandom sleepovers. Heck I'd set up a Tumblr based scavenger hunt if I thought people would play. Like....we dont have to be monoliths in a placid sea of we don't want to. Fandom can be fun. It should be fun.

Do you know what the origin of the "sold to One Direction" thing is? I know it's a common trope (or was), but, I have no idea where I first heard of it, where I learned it was a thing. How do weird tropes like that get started, anyway? Why do some concepts take off and become huge parts of a particular fandom, but others don't? (And does this particular premise show up in other RPF contexts as much?)
--
tl;dr - Wattpad circa 2013, probably
--
I'm only familiar with that from doing Wattpad research. I don't think it's a major RPF thing, at least not under that exact name. Horny f!sub is kind of the Wattpad way, so a lot of the popular tropes there make sense from that perspective. I've definitely seen plenty of badtouch sexy slave/kidnapping victim/stalk-ee stuff with BTS and other music groups. But maybe somebody reading has more specific 1D history knowledge?
As for why one thing takes off and another doesn't, the big answer is:
Historical accident
We can look for patterns, sure, but a lot of it is ultimately survivorship bias. That's the thing where we look at what's remaining (successful companies, popular fic tropes), and we assume they have some special property that made them survivors and then extrapolate from that. But maybe it's coincidence, or maybe it's a different type of causality than the one we're looking at.
For example, a trope in a popular fandom will spread farther faster than a trope in a dinky little fandom, so maybe fandom size is what matters and not the nature of the trope. Most analyses assume it's the trope itself that matters.
On an individual basis, many specific tropes get popularized by a particular famous author or fic that other people imitate. Some get popularized by a fanworks exchange or fest. (That's how 5 Times fic spread.) But why do they stick around long term? Why do they gain traction elsewhere?
Aside from random chance, it's probably something to do with broad applicability and easy entry points.
So, for example, the show The Sentinel doesn't actually have Guides as such, but the AU added an official role for the other dude to make the two of them super destined. Sentinel AUs took off across a ton of fandoms. (Less so these days, but I've even seen them in BTS, so they're definitely not gone.) The AU version is basically soulmates + potentially codified top/bottom roles + superpowers. People like fantasy AUs. They like frameworks to fit their ship into. The trope isn't highly specific otherwise, so it can be tacked onto many settings, both real world and sff. It fits two-person ships easily, which is most popular ships. One can do some worldbuilding about whether there's One True Guide for a given Sentinel or whether the bond is more a matter of choice. Guides might be equal in numbers/prestige/public visibility to Sentinels or not. The existence of all this can be openly known by everybody or a secret like in the show.
A/B/O has a similar level of "proof my ship belongs together" stuff with room to play around with worldbuilding. It also overlaps heavily with prior popular tropes people like for pretty obvious horny reasons. Same with plenty of tropes. They're often a slight remix of already popular stuff.
Sense8 AUs, however, never really took off as a thing. I saw some fans sadfacing about this, but in this case, I think we could have predicted it. Why? Simple: the concept involves OT8, and that's not going to apply to most people's fandoms unless they happen to like a kpop group or a superhero team with 8 people. The 8 also don't have specific roles that would make this simpler to write. If you're going for less OT8 and more of a complicated network of relationships, that's a complicated story to write and it has much less of a template to work from. So low applicability + high barrier to entry.
Hogwarts AUs, on the other hand, are super popular. Why? My guess is that the biggest reason is that a million bajillion times more people know Harry Potter than know Sense8. Hogwarts also has some canned roles that are more obvious: which house is your Fave? Shit that could be in a clickbait-y personality quiz is easier to write fic about than something that requires you to make up everything yourself. But also, four houses are easy to keep track of in a way that all those Myers-Briggs types are not. Add too much mandatory complexity, and it gets too confusing.
--
If I had to guess about the popularity of Sold To One Direction, I'd say a lot of it is due to the problem of getting Mary Sue or y/n into the room with them. Why is she there? This fic concept provides the answer in one quick title or tag. Sexy slavefic and dubcon have had broad appeal since forever. There's room to go really dark or fluffier. Some of the fics are nothing but ravishment fantasies, while others are more abuse recovery stories (where 1D are better than whatever came before).
I don't think there's some simple answer for why this specific thing and not a closely related trope became such a known trope in 1D. Probably, if some BNF had posted a ravishment fantasy with a different pithy title at just the right time, some adjacent trope would be big instead.
As for why I've heard of this trope, it's absolutely due to 1D being a fucking massive fandom such that its popular tropes occur very frequently in a sample of Wattpad writing of the right eras. It definitely owes its lulzy memeticness to fandom size: lots of people care enough about 1D and 1D fic to know what the trends are and make jokes about them.
Here's Huffpo being dicks about 1D slavefic back in 2013. They don't mention the exact phrasing though. Here's a pretty standard specimen from 2013-14.
I presume this was also a big thing on Quizilla (RIP) and I see extant examples on Quotev. Sadly, these and Wattpad are fucking hard to study, and a lot of the meta-writing types stick to AO3, so I don't see as many good analyses of this part of fandom.
Any 1D fans want to weigh in?

moonlight | jaehyun (m)
title: moonlight pairing: jaehyun x reader genre: smut request: “Hi 😘 Nct members going to a strip club and jaehyun getting a private dance that turns into fucking scenario please? Can be smutty” word count: 3.2k warnings: sex work, oral sex (male receiving), dirty talk, riding a/n: I admittedly don’t know much about strip clubs at my big age of 23 💀 I researched what I could but took some creative liberties. I only included a handful of nct members here since that is a looot of men lol
“Don’t look now, but your pretty boy and his group of friends are back. Diane says their car is outside,” Anya says, walking into the dressing room where the rest of the girls are. Your interest is piqued at this, though you pretend not to hear her as you finish applying your makeup. Serena isn’t so quick to let you off the hook.
“Isn’t that your boyfriend? Your little boy toy?” Serena asks, leaning closer and batting her eyelashes at you.
You pause with the mascara wand in your hand. “What boyfriend?” you scoff, though you already know exactly what she’s talking about.
“Girl, stop pretending like you’re not into him or some shit. You look at him almost as much as he stares at you!” Anya rolls her eyes and puts her hand on her hip, looking every bit of an Amazon in her 6-inch heels.
“He’s yet to request a private dance, so…I’m not sweatin’ over him. And anyway, he’s no boyfriend of mine if he ain’t paying the bills.”
“Okay, I heard that one!” Both Serena and Anya laugh at your comment. But now that you know he’s here, you are suddenly a little more motivated to dance well tonight. Not that you don’t already, but a little extra never hurt anyone.
Him and his idol friends come around to Moonlight every so often, one weekend or so a month, to get their rocks off. They’re from that kpop group NCT, and you’ve figured out the one who stares is Jaehyun. But you don’t know a ton about them other than those bare facts.
With Moonlight being one of a few ultra-diverse strip clubs in Seoul, it rose to popularity fairly quickly after its establishment. And to no one’s surprise — no one who truly knows the game, anyway — there are always a lot of kpop idols who come to watch the dancers. Their fans would undoubtedly be scandalized if they knew, but hey, that ain’t your problem. You’re here to make money, have fun, and seduce starry-eyed, lonely men. If they’re attractive, that’s only a bonus.
The House Mother, Daya, comes to stand in the doorway and calls your name. “You’re up next girl, so move that ass!”
“I’m coming,” you sigh dramatically, but there are no hard feelings at all. She’s one of the nicer club owners in this part of the city, one who treats all the girls like equals no matter what their skin color or creed is. And when you work in a club as popular and as multicultural as Moonlight, you need someone there to keep the drama to a minimum.
--
The club is as dim as ever, but the stage lights remain at a low shine, ready to come on full blast once the next dancer appears. The music thumps so heavily that the bass seems to become one with the building, making every part of the club feel alive with energy. A group of 5 men enter, weaving their way through the seats to make it to their usual spot next to the stage.
“Wow, can’t believe we’re actually in a strip club right now, haha…” Mark tries to play it cool, but he’s not very good at hiding his nervousness. This is only his first strip club outing with the other boys, after all. He taps his fingers on his legs like he’s playing the drums.
“Yeah, could’ve sworn we were on Mars instead,” Doyoung says, and the others laugh while Mark rolls his eyes.
Mark isn’t the only one whose nerves are getting to him, though. Johnny notices Jaehyun’s restless demeanor as the rest of them settle in, and he muffles a laugh, nudging the younger man. “God, I hope that one dancer you like is here tonight, you look like you’re about to come out of your clothes.”
“She’s way out of your league,” Ten snickers.
“Stop acting like I’m ugly. I could get her any time,” Jaehyun argues, glaring at the other man.
“She’s a woman of her own, not something you can take as you please, Jaehyun!” Johnny says, and both Ten and Jaehyun laugh.
“Johnny, you should keep an eye out for your own crush.” Doyoung gives him a knowing look, and he only laughs sheepishly in response.
It isn’t long before you appear on the stage, the club bursting with cheers and claps and the dual spotlights flickering to full illumination. The spotlights glisten on your skin and reflect off the light pink lingerie set you’re wearing, making you look akin to a goddess—at least in Jaehyun’s eyes. You step out from behind the velvety curtains, letting the fabric caress your body before making your way towards the pole in the middle of the stage.
Your signature song plays as you twist yourself around the pole and perform your favorite tricks, letting yourself be hyped up and carried away by the people around you calling your stage name and throwing bills at your feet. The world spins as you do, revolving around the pole with your legs touching the sky. You grin at the upside-down faces staring back at you, leaving your charm to do all the talking.
You finish your pole routine by slowly sliding down to the base of it and landing carefully in a split. Your back is facing the NCT boys, though you look over your shoulder to flash a sultry look at the audience. This one is always a crowd-pleaser—though you also use this move as an excuse to catch a glimpse of Jaehyun’s expression. You aren’t disappointed by the hunger written across his gaze.
You gracefully turn your body to them, getting on your hands and knees so they have a full view of your chest. As you crawl closer to the end of the stage, Jaheyun’s figure grows clearer underneath the club’s simultaneously dark and light atmosphere. He’s close enough to reach out and touch.
So you do—bringing your legs out in front of you and spreading them in an appealing stretch before resting them on his shoulders, one after the other. Other men in the club seethe with envy. Jaehyun himself is stuck like a fish out of water, blushing madly but also completely into your display.
Beside him, Doyoung whoops and Johnny whistles. You lift your legs off of Jaehyun gracefully and follow the move by letting your silk robe slip off your shoulders, fully exposing the bare skin of your shoulders and back. Even this is enough to get the men riled up again, and you revel in their cheers.
Jaehyun knows enough strip club etiquette than to try to touch you, and you take advantage of this by gliding off the stage and circling him like he’s your prey. You purposely brush your silk robe over his body, letting it cocoon him in your scent. His fingers drift across it, and he wonders if it could possibly be as soft as your skin looks—or maybe you’re even softer.
Before he can truly get into it, you’ve flitted off to another nearby table of men, taking your silk with you.
“Holy fuck,” Mark looks like a deer in the headlights, and his legs are crossed uncomfortably to hide his obvious boner.
“The baby’s gonna implode!” Ten laughs.
“Well hold it, because the night is just beginning!” Doyoung shouts.
Jaehyun’s eyes keep coming over to you even as you rotate to one of the other, smaller platforms in the club, another girl taking your spot on the main stage.
--
“You really put it on him tonight, huh?” Serena says, putting her arm around your shoulders. “He’s totally in love. Watch him come to the next show with an engagement ring.” You chuckle at that idea. You find it strangely endearing. You wouldn’t marry him without knowing him, of course, but the idea of having him that tightly wrapped around your finger makes you grin.
You don’t have long to think about it before Daya is coming to break up your kiking fest.
“You’ve got a request for a private dance from one Jaehyun. Sound familiar?” Daya announces. Serena nudges you, and you nod. Daya raises her eyebrows. “You up for it?”
The corners of your lips curl up in a smile. “Give me 5 to freshen up.”
--
Moonlight holds a dozen or so rooms within its second story, all solely reserved for private dances. You climb the stairs slowly in your heels, partly because you don’t want to trip and partly because you’re slightly nervous about what to expect. There’s an abundance of security guards stationed on this level—and each room has an emergency button—so you’re not worried about safety, per se. Whoever this Jaehyun guy really is, you hope he can meet a few of your expectations, at least. Maybe it’s a little embarrassing, but you’ve built him up in your mind more than you’ve allowed yourself with other club-goers.
The room number is 202. You stand in front of the door for a few moments to take several deep breaths. Then you relax your body, talking yourself back into your Performance mode, and open the door.
“Who’s this handsome man?” Jaehyun looks up to see you standing in the doorway, still wearing your outfit from the stage. He sits up on the plush black couch that stands out from the blazing purple hue of the rest of the room. A row of mirrors frames the wall behind the couch, reflecting your own figure back to you. He looks a bit disheveled, with his shirt unbuttoned and his slacks crooked, but it’s a good look for him.
He leans forward to drink in your body, his eyes drifting up from the garters resting against your thighs to the lacy bra covering your breasts, and you smile underneath his gaze. “Jaehyun. And you’re ______...right?”
“Of course. You should know me by now, special boy,” you tease, sauntering over to him to sit on the couch beside him, instead of his lap like he expected. Still, you hover incredibly close to him, your hand sliding against his lapels and stroking the fabric of his button-up right where it unfolds against his skin. “After all, you’ve stared enough.”
“It’s hard not to.” Jaehyun rakes his eyes across your body as if he’s dying to touch it. You smirk and stand up again, sliding off your silk robe and throwing it to him as you wind your body to the music coming from the room’s speakers.
“What would your girlfriend say?” you tease.
His eyes widen at that. “I don’t have a girlfriend.”
“Don’t act so scandalized about it...men with girlfriends and wives come here all the time. It’s shitty...but it’s life.” You say this while twisting your hips in his face, and he initially seems a little too distracted to realize you’ve said anything. Then it registers.
“That’s....do you like this j-job, at least?” Jaehyun’s breath hitches at the end of his sentence when you drape yourself across his body, your head resting back on his shoulder and your ass pressing against the undeniable bulge in his pants. Still, he doesn’t touch you, which you are grateful for—many other men haven’t been so tactful during private dances—so you continue servicing him without a care in the world.
“It’s fun, and I get to meet handsome men like you.” Your fingers ghost across his jawline, drifting only inches away but not making contact. “There’s a lot to like about it.”
You move away and he thinks you mean to get up, but you only turn to face him. “You can touch me now, if you’d like. I think you’ve been a good boy…”
You grind in Jaehyun’s lap and are delighted when he responds in kind, pushing his hips up to meet yours. Your faces are inches apart. You are practically breathing in sync, smiling like there’s a secret only the two of you know.
You make the first move by kissing him, and he slants his mouth against yours as if your lips have always belonged together.
You grasp Jaehyun’s hand and lead it to your hip, and he takes the cue to rest both of his hands on your waist, simply following your directions.
He does take the lead with the kiss, though, biting your lip as you gently pull away, and tugging you back in. He tastes like alcohol, and as cliché as it is, it makes you feel a bit drunk—but that might also be due to his demeanor itself.
“How long have you wanted this?” you ask, sliding your hand into his black shirt and drawing your nails across his skin—not painfully hard, but enough to make him throb under you.
“Maybe too long,” he says. “You’re very beautiful.”
You smile. “Aren’t we a perfect match, then?” Your hand slides lower, to his abdomen and the muscles you can feel even under his dress shirt, and then to his belt. “Would you like to continue?” you ask.
“Yes.”
You unbuckle his belt, sliding the leather through his belt loops and dropping it off to the side somewhere. You slide yourself off his lap to kneel in front of him as you caress his lower half, rubbing your hands up his thighs and across his bulge, underneath his clothing to feel his abs, and then back again.
Unzipping his dress pants is equally fun. You watch him sweat and feel him shudder as you drag the zipper down with your teeth. You pull his underwear down after, slowly drawing the material over his skin on purpose. His cock springs out, hard and thick and flushed with need, and you lean forward to drag your mouth over it, base to tip.
Jaehyun is heavy and warm against your lips and he smells good, like male musk, like pheromones and desire. You hold the base as you slap his dick on your tongue and he rolls his head back, making a sound between a groan and a laugh as if he can’t believe this is happening.
He doesn’t want to rush or hurt you, so he lets you do the work of sliding him into your mouth as far as you can take, drooling over his dick and sucking him so messily that it makes his knees quiver. The groans and grunts you pull out of him are lovely to hear—you feel good to know that you can bring him this much pleasure so easily. His precum drips into your mouth, salty on your tastebuds.
Jaehyun is pliable in your hands as you stroke his shaft, focusing your tongue on his leaking tip. You feel his thumb brushing the back of your neck, his hand settling on your nape as he watches you suck his dick. He curses under his breath when you scrape your teeth against him very gently, giving just enough pressure to make it feel good.
Soon, you feel Jaehyun nearing in your mouth, his cock throbbing harder and his thighs trembling around you.
“I-I want to fuck you,” Jaehyun says abruptly. You pull back to look at him through your eyelashes. You leave a trail of spit lingering between your lips and his dick, and he looks like he might come right then.
“Such a greedy boy.” You lift yourself to be level with his eyes, tilting his chin with your fingertips. “What’s the magic word?”
“Please?” He looks like he isn’t totally certain that’s the right answer, and it makes you laugh. In response to his request, you turn to face the door, bending over and making a show of unclipping your garters and sliding your thong down before straightening to remove them completely. Jaehyun moans at that.
You turn back to see that he’s already taken care of the condom. He groans beautifully for you again when you crawl back onto his lap and slide him inside of you, clenching around his hard length.
You start with a slow and winding rhythm at first, not entirely hellbent on teasing him but not willing to let him blow his load too soon, either. His hands are all over your body at this point, gripping your ass and your breasts and whatever else he can get his hands on. He pulls your bra down and tugs your nipples into his mouth like a man starved.
You laugh at his eagerness, riding him harder.
Jaehyun plants his feet straight on the ground and starts thrusting up into you and you cry out at the added sensation, his tip hitting against your g spot and making you sweat and tremble.
“Fuck, you’re good,” you sigh, digging your nails into his shoulder as you fuck each other at the perfect pace.
“This is the best pussy I’ve ever had,” he says in between sucking your nipples. “I’ve gotta taste it.”
“N-next time.” Your body squeezes around him again as he brings one of his hands to the front to rub your clit. You’re glad the music is loud, otherwise there’d be no hiding your noises or the sound of your skin slapping together.
You feel wild and free in a way you haven’t in a long time, and you let yourself scrape your nails across his skin and bite at his neck as you fuck yourself harder on his dick.
You and Jaehyun kiss and thrust against each other like you’ll never get to do it again, with all the delicious hurriedness that a quick and tension-filled type of fuck can offer.
“I’m c-close.” Jaehyun groans this into your hair as you’ve gone back to biting his neck again. He grips your ass and holds you tighter against him, if at all possible, and pushes himself into your spot with renewed energy. His hand still works your clit, just shy of being firm enough to hurt—but practiced enough to provide pleasure.
“Not without me,” you say, licking the shell of his ear. “What would your friends say?”
“They wouldn’t know, because right now, you’re mine alone.” He slaps your ass and that’s enough to get you spilling onto him, crying his name right into his eardrum as you shudder and tighten around him.
Jaehyun comes soon after, thrusting a few more times and settling himself deep inside you as he fills the condom. He leans his head against the couch and you watch as he vocalizes his pleasure, his Adam’s apple bobbing as he arches into you.
You feel sated and a bit sleepy now, but your shift isn’t over yet and there are still more shows to be done. You lay a kiss on Jaehyun’s throat before gingerly untangling yourself from him and redressing, making sure everything is in place.
Jaehyun throws away the condom and does the same for himself, though there won’t be any hiding the bruises you’ve left on his neck. He looks in the mirrors behind him and blushes at the sight of them, brushing his fingers over them.
“Sorry honey. Hope your friends don’t tease you too much over it.” You smile sympathetically, though you aren’t terribly sorry. You move to open the door but Jaehyun calls out wait, and you pause.
He slides a piece of paper with his number on it into your hand and gives you a smirk. “Don’t forget our promise. ‘Next time,’ remember?”
You tuck the paper into your bra and make a note to put it somewhere safer once you get to the dressing room. “Of course, baby.” With that, you are gone, and Jaehyun is left with the memories—and the marks—to remind him of you until you meet again.

Blue Team Bleu Podfic Rec List
I had an absolute blast with these people over the last few weeks, so here are some of my favorite fics of theirs! Check them all out because everyone has more excellent fics that I didn't add!
(Not everyone opted in to the love fest, but I tried to find at least one work for everyone because I am feeling high key sappy~)
and we light ourselves on fire to keep warm @akaihyou with astra, zhadyra, Oceantail, GodOfLaundryBaskets, minna, Pata, and Halbereth
Honestly I tried really hard not to rec multipods but I think this one had to show up eventually. Most of Team Blue participated in this one and everyone's narration was highly enjoyable. I'm reccing it for akaihyou's part because she really tugged on my heartstrings-- listening to azula turn into a much more jaded child protecting herself in a layer of anger... oof! Bring your Fire Nation royal children feels, because this one is an excellent listen!
Kpop Not-fic series astra/@edge-of-the-morning with cheshiretears and zhadyra
I keep breaking my own rules for this rec but I had to slip in the kpop not-fic series I did with astra and zhadyra. They were honestly so much fun! For astra’s part, she is very sweet and had some fantastic ideas (and we really ran away with the idea of our OC in the Miraculous/CBX fic, so if you like either of those things, she was the one responsible for wrangling the audio for that monstrosity)! I would honestly love to do more of these with these two!
In Which Kirk Speaks German @eafay70 with zhadyra
Eafay was also responsible for writing some AMAZING filk, including MULTIPLE cute ones about our mascot, Blue Da Ba Dee Da Ba Dye and our team! So why did I pick this Star Trek fic? Well, she’s also a writer of fic as well as filk, so she wrote this to fill “ Never have I ever recorded a multivoice podfic in a language that isn't my native language with someone whose native language is that language.” And then she recorded it with zhadyra who IS a native German speaker. Unfortunately, I don’t know any German, so I can’t speak to the accuracy of the dialogue, but I know that zhadyra okayed it! I loved the premise of Kirk trying to settle a bet with his boyfriends and roping in the clerk. It was a really inventive way to complete the challenge! She also has a soft voice that I love, because it makes for very sweet narration~
Constructive Criticism @godoflaundrybaskets
GOLB has so much good podfic, I had a hard time choosing. It was awesome during the first week when we had to listen to our team members’ fics and leave comments, because we have quite a few shared fandoms and their narration is wonderful! They are also probably one of the most dedicated members of the team. GodOfLaundryBaskets? More like GodOfPodficSpreadsheets! Part of me wants to choose 10/10 WOULD MARRY because I know they contributed as one of the few who was not a fandom newbie, but it would be unfair with all of the excellent podfic they have to offer. Constructive Criticism is high on the list of podfic I would recommend. There’s a high likelihood you already know the story, and it gave me CHILLS. “Your Obedient Servant” in the background. GOLB’s intensity in narrating Hamilton’s anger. The RECORD SCRATCHES. Ending with “The World Was Wide Enough” and their mournful narration... This podfic had it ALL! Honestly, just the premise alone had me from the absolute START.
Feeling Blue Halbereth/@histrionic-dragon with Pata and zhadyra
I think we did this podfic week 1? I definitely had fun using the filter on Halbereth’s voice for Blue, but I almost just left it because their delivery was just lovely. They sounded so wise and perfect for Blue!
Plasticine and Shells @minnarr
So I’m a big Doctor Who fan, but I’m not as familiar with Classic Who. Minna certainly piqued my interest when she asked for someone to make coverart though! Her ambient noises and music were perfect. I love how she really captured the feeling of a BBC audio drama-- not only did it make me want to watch Classic Who, but I also wanted to listen to one of the Torchwood or other excellent BBC radio dramas. I was absolutely on the edge of my seat during the climax!
Let it Flow Though You Oceantail
I really love these introspective fics, and I can tell Oceantail really enjoys the ones focusing on the Fire Nation royal siblings especially. Their narration is intense and lovely and really makes you feel the internal conflict Zuko is feeling. The twist of Zuko figuring it out was just so excellent, I got chills!
Sugawara’s Girlfriend Pata
We have so many writers in our midst! This fic is absolutely sweet and I really love the music in the background~ It makes me picture this like a visual novel, with super cute graphics and borders~ It’s full of the playful energy of Haikyuu!! and I might be just as in love as Suga! Her voice is so dynamic, she always makes a wonderful narrator!
Sweethearts/Hesitate -> Kagami Has Two Hands Series Zhadyra
Okay, first off, I’ve really enjoyed working with zhadyra and seeing faer enthusiasm! I’m amazed by how much fae volunteered and churned out these last few weeks (did you see how many of my recs included zhadyra?)! I was initially tempted to rec our kpop not-fics, but I did that for astra (though really guys, I’d high key be into doing more)! I think for actual fic though, I have to do a twofer and recommend Sweethearts and the sequel Hesitate. Mostly because I was already obsessed with GalahadWilder’s series before Voiceteam. But also because zhadyra always does an amazing job with Miraculous Ladybug pods and I love faer voices for all of the characters. The softness of zhadyra’s voice and accent almost always transports me to a different place and makes the experience absolutely lovely!

I’m pissed enough about my latest reblog on the social issues in Korea to make a video about it. Probably a few. An informative one on LGBTQ+ basics, because I think the best strategy is to be informative and kind about it. A passive aggressive informative one that will only get angry as I go on about Sam Okyere’s situation, since apparently his cirticisers can’t take being told to their face that they’re wrong. A shout fest on the view of women in Korea because dear god, hasn’t it been enough?? And a more informative one again about how fucked up the KPop industry is. Because it is; abusing children and teenagers and restricting their access to the world as adults is messed up.

Are you single: No, I’m Turtle’s.
TURTLE
Your name: Lazy Turtle (she/her)
Languages you speak: Catalan, Spanish, English and some basic French.
Are you a mermaid: Pretty sure I’m not.
Your play style: Starting projects and never getting past the building process is a playstyle? I usually like to have some objective though, instead of just playing aimlessly.
Your Selfsim picture:
Stories or gameplay, builds, lookbooks, edits or cc: I find stories pretty awkward to portray on Sims, and fashion and decoration were never my strong point. So I stick to challenges, both found and created.
Your favorite age state: Depends on what for. Young adults are the easiest to manage and have more options, but toddlers are the most challenging on a Baby Challenge.
Your favorite season: Autumn, always. Its colors are just beautiful.
Your favorite holiday: Haven’t played them all yet, so I can’t say.
How was your day: (Tumblr erased all my hard work on this thing, but the day I first wrote it I had my blood taken so not great). Today, I discovered the extent of human stupidity in mass hysteria situations. Never seen a supermarket so empty of food before.
Your favorite career: Hypotetically, writer. But I haven’t played as one yet so I can’t confirm.
Your favorite aspiration: Big Happy Family’s been pretty fun for our matriarch, but I still have many more to explore. (I can say it’s not the kid’s mobility one. Stupid mecanography.)
Your favorite EP, SP or GP: Probably Seasons so far.
How old is your simblr: Less than a year.
Have you woohooed: Uh.
Your favorite skill: Uhhh... No idea.
The size of your Mods folder: 29,9 GB. Worm and I share a game and a mods folder, but Chiwawa dumps her messily organized mods on us from time to time.
Your 3 favorite mods: Wow nope.
Your interests (other than sims): Mostly writing and reading (I’m the main writer of this tumblr, btw), but also videogames, anime and k-pop.
Your favorite sim (picture if possible): I wouldn’t say it’s my favourite sim of all time, I have far too many sims I love for different reasons, but this one was specially hard to get right so we feel particularly proud.
His name is Carles Serra, and he’s a parental figure for two of the MCs of the story we’re working on. He’s a math and ethics teacher on a very exclusive highschool, and he needed to have both a very refined and snobbish air and this inevitable awkwardness all math teachers seem to have. Plus, he has to deal with teenage drama all through the story, so I feel like he needs a lot of love. And maybe some vacation.
Which Sims games you have played (including mobile games): Sims 2, 3 and 4. And I think I once tried to make a sim on a terrible PS2 version or something.
Propose a crazy scheme: Mandatory therapy for teens so everyone learns empathy and management of one’s emotions would be pretty neat.
Best part of simblr: Sharing our common passion with others in a free and creative way, probably.
Worst part of simblr: The lack of interaction, I guess. I had only ever been in a very small fandom here on tumblr before, and compared to the closeness of that comunity, I feel like simblr is... very scattered.
What other games you play: Play Station ones, mostly. Whatever gives me a compelling story.
