hi ! headcannon wise I firmly believe (want) brant to be a Vacker. I also think it would be interesting if the formless were related to tam and linh given twins can like run in families genetically. If you could have any elven ability what would it be?
Brant could honestly be a Vacker, we don’t know. He could also be a Redek from Marella also being a Pyrokentic. But I believe that Shannon won’t tell us in the end. It just seems like a Shannon thing to do and not tell us Brant’s last name. None of his backstory or anything, just left the series getting to speculate. Possibly adding a spin off book with Brant and that is how we find out.
Twins running in families genetically could also hit Mai and Quan to shame. One of them must have a set of twins down the line. We just don’t know who. I would like to think it’s Quan because he seems so much more controlling. His family would hide that. It’s clear that if they did have another set of twin’s in the Song family it would be on Quan’s side.
I would want to either be a Froster or a Conjurer. My friends are convinced I would be a Froster because my hands are always so cold. I also think it would be cool to have my Elsa arc somewhere. Then Conjuring is just so helpful. Need a snack? Click your fingers. Need a bottle of youth? Click your fingers. Helpful.
Thank you for the ask!

this fandom experience is such a wild thing cause my dash is like:
mutual's art
sokeefe brainrot (which, same)
"kotlc is problematic because there's not a single male conjurer in the series and this implies that it's a woman's job to get things for others"
keefe hate
sophitz discourse
tam cam being cryptic

Cletus Dizznee: keslers talentless brother who collects pee (pilker). @camelspit
Estelle Mila Callahan: Wylie's best friend, a young Conjurer willing to do anything for her loved ones, even joining a fugitive organization. @wolfiestay1008
If you have the time and will, read the characters' full descriptions before voting! Simply click on their names above.

TMBS x KOTLC ability headcanons
(Aka the AU that ABSOLUTELY NOBODY WOULD CARE ABOUT EXCEPT ME. But here)
FTMBS characters as elves:
Reynie: Empath all the way. And he does little things whenever he gets a read on someone’s emotions. If they’re feeling sad, he does something small to brighten their day. If they’re feeling anxious, he helps them calm down. If they’re feeling super happy, he hypes them up. If they’re feeling lonely, he makes a point to show how much he cares all day. 🥺
Kate: Phaser or Conjurer. Either one makes sense for her, though walking through walls just feels SO on brand for her. On the other hand, making a bunch of objects appear out of thin air is ALSO on brand for her since she relies on so many little things. Perhaps she could be both—I think it’s mentioned that a some people do get two abilities (not counting polyglots) even though it’s rare (and Sophie foster doesn’t count). So either she’s able to break down and walk through solid surfaces or the void is her red bucket. You decide.
Sticky: He DOES have two abilities because one of them is definitely polyglot. He’s a polyglot he can speak ALL the languages and you can’t convince me otherwise. As for his second ability, I believe he is an enhancer (actually I also think Reynie could be an enhancer, but I’m pretty stretched to the idea of him as an empath). He also still has his photographic memory and love for knowledge so he knows almost everything, but he also loves the way he can hold a friend’s hand and make their ability multiply in power. It’s like… a physical sign of how supportive he is of all his friends and how much he wants to help.
Constance: I mean if I didn’t make her a telepath I’d be stupid. Of course she’s a telepath. But since she’s Constance and she gets a special power in a world where no one has special powers, im actually gonna give her TWO special powers. Either she’s one on those rare cases I mentioned, or she’s like Sophie Foster (which is totally possible. She has no clue where she came from or who her parents are in the showverse, and she her memories are spotty……./genetic engineering and memory tampering? 👀) but I digress. She’s a pyrokinetic. She is ABSOLUTELY a pyrokinetic. She’s a telepath and a pyrokinetic and we love her.
I’d love to hear the thoughts of my TMBS mutuals who aren’t kotlc fans as well <3

please note this just has the less popular abilities, the ones not shown here are ones a plan to do already. I just want to see general interest for specific abilities that aren't as talked about.

New KOTLC OC just dropped
Name: Cyrelle
Special Ability: Pyrokinetic
Knows Pyrokinesis is forbidden, still uses it. Doesn't do much though. Just kinda conjures up a fireball and stares at it.
"Hi, Cyrel- WHAT THE FUCK?"
"Pretty"

Yeah, I think I decided that Charri will be a Guster. I feel like it suits her more.
Especially since her character grew up in a talentless family being the first person with an ability in her family for over 400 years. It shows that she has potential. But she also has a line where she is like “I’m just some *insert ability* girl!” As if she doesn’t think highly of herself. Conjure would be much more helpful so it rules out Guster.
She also just gives me those vibes. She is very sensible so having an ability that differs that will be a massive challenge for her. Especially if it’s an ability displayed as “useless” Cassidy won’t be so salty. Cassidy would more or so trash talk her instead. It also helps with Adalin being a telepath while Charri is a guster.
She seems like the type of person that stand her ground. Similar to how we see trix. She also sticks to herself similar to him. I lowkey see trix being a ginger and so is Charri. It just clicks and adds up in my head.
It would be cool to have her as a Conjurer but it just doesn’t click with her. She is the type to break a record but barley. It is a miracle for her to have an ability. But it’s an ability not many want. Showing how she still isn’t a miracle even tho society may think she is. Even if the council thinks she is. She doesn’t think that herself.

KOTLC things that keep me up at night
— Fintan is likely Sophie’s father
— Fallon Vacker was a Councillor and has a cache, and his ability is unknown
— Caprise Redek was pushed off of that balcony, likely by her husband who is a Guster. Her ability is also unknown
— Sophie represents Moonlark and Keefe represents Stellarlune, leaving Fitz to represent Elysian
— The caches are stored in the void, and Lady Gisela is a Conjurer who can mimic
Anyways I sincerely hope most if not all of these points come to fruition. Shannon are you reading this?

hi there! working on something and i was wondering — do you by any chance have access to a list of all of kotlc’s unresolved plotlines? if not dw 🫶🫶 there are a lot lol
Hi! I'm not sure a list like that has been compiled before (and there's room for disagreement/interpretation) but I can try my hand at getting us started.
For the purpose of this list I'm thinking of them as yet unanswered questions. I'm not approaching this as unresolved plotlines as in the type of plot hole, since as I touched on here, the story isn't done so we can't truly have any. Anyway, they're listed in no particular order:
Elysian: What is it? Who is it?
Stellarlune: What is Lady Gisela's vision (and how does conjuring relate to it)? What exactly are Keefe's new powers? How is step 3 completed? What is Criterion?
Related, the Wrights: What, specifically, did Ethan study astrophysically? What did Gisela want from him? Where is Eleanor now?
Why/how did Prentice know to call swan song?
Secret identities: Mr. Forkle's, Blur's, Wraith's. Ruy, Umber, Trix.
Who/what are the Black Swan's Proxies?
What happened to Caprise Redek?
Pyrokinesis: Will the ban be lifted?
Talentless: Will their status be made equal?
What happened to Ro? This is connected to questions about Cadfael and the ogres' hierarchy/society, which Forkle thought were being targeted
Who is Sophie's biological father?
Does Sophie have any more abilities?
Trolls: How deep is their connection to Lady Gisela? Will they make another treaty? Will/how will they call on Sophie? What did Luzia do she regretted (might just be the troll experiments, might be more)?
Ruy: How is he after Tam's shadowflux attack? Why was he sent to Exillium?
What was Umber's backstory? What was Trix's?
What will become of Rayni? Will she join the crew? Fuck off?
Why is Tinker afraid of goblins and heat?
What is Livvy's ability?
What is Brant's last name?
How were Vika and Timkin officially matched? How did Timkin return to Foxfire?
Will the Song family reconcile?
Alden: Why was he denied a spyball? What memories/projects did he lose during his break? What other "unsanctioned investigations" has he conducted? What did Della inform on Alden to the council about?
This list is by no means exhaustive, so anyone is more than welcome to add onto it. I think I hit most of the big things though? At least I tried to.
Hope that helps!

Okay I have this whole philosophy thing on the elements. You have the six, which are Water, Earth, Air, Fire, Light, and Shadow. These get split into two categories I call Celestial and Terrestial. Fire, Light, and Shadow are Celestial Elements. Fire belongs to the sun, Shadow to the moon, and Light to the stars. Terrestial elements belong to specific domains. Water belongs to the Sea, Earth belongs to the land, and Air belongs to the sky. I haven't thought about what the opposing forces must be in this system yet, if there are any. Light and Shadow seem intuitive but then the star and the moon would be opposites. Or, as I have also seen light and dark as the two sides of the moon, two sides of the same coin, thats what light and shadow could be in this framework.
It's actually kinda hard to say any triangle has an opposite, so what would their Terrestial opposites be instead? I consider that Shadow is the opposite of Water considering the push and pull of the moon and sea. That's pretty easy. I'm starting to think the sun should be Light (so that the daylight and the Earth can come together and symbolize land growth) and that the stars should be Fire (to symbolize the need for flame in dark, cold nights as well as to contrast the plasmic flame with lightning, or sky). This bothers me though because sun is so clearly fire to me and the rainbow-esque nature of light lends itself well to the broad range of stars. Anyways, this had something to do with KotLC, naturally.
I will say this again WHY ISN'T THERE AN EARTH ELEMENTAL ABILITY? I have been thinking up an OC that could potentially have more gnomish blood (still an elf) with some sort of Earthsong ability, like the tunneling thing a lot of the other species do or plant polyglot, or some sort of crystalline ability. The problem is, its incorporated into so many of the other species' abilities (gnomes sing to plants, dwarves mine crystals and stones, ogres are experts in biochemistry) that I'm sure its just repetitive and boring to have an elf ability as such but the asymmetry lowkey annoys me. And something interesting could be the case like literally growing things, or something with metal, or transmitting through crystals whether it be communication or travel or harnessing power.
I have considered gnomes are more closely related to elves than other species because of this earth thing. They are basically humanoid plants. Dwarves could be the second runner up of this. This could work if we follow evolutionary theory (which is already wack in this universe) but ALSO the source theory that says that all of their abilities are sourced from the light of the sun, moon, and stars. Maybe gnomes are the balance to elves, maybe the interconnectedness of their peoples as of right now is also symbolic of their biological closeness. Idk, I just want an earth element recognized. Why would elves even think of earth as an element if it's not even recognized? Remember the Greek Gods split the underworld, sky, and sea but kept the land everyone's domain, so this Earth could be less given to the elves as everybody wields this power. Idek.
Technopathy was something I potentially considered because technological inventions of the elves, especially in these primitive yet weirdly sci fi inventions, are closely tied to earthen materials like stone, wood, and metal (a little chinese element action ig lol). Linh reads the water and discovers it in the air. Marella reads the flame. Its heat, its color, its wildness. A technopath reads the materials of the world around them and creates something out of them. Earth is the element that best symbolizes growth, life, and creation in such an obvious way. What better ability to symbolize Earth than one that reads the earth and creates something out of its parts?
What even is this void thing? Before Sophie's teleportation there were conjurers, which have a connection to the void and the strings that connect the universe. I have put them in my own little category named "subelemental" alongside frosters, phasers (matter), vanishers (light-ish), psionipaths (plasma/light?), and chargers, but I think they could be important to Elysian. This whole void thing essentially lays this weird greater connection between everything that Elysian also kinda hints at being. Goodness, Elysian is so vague. They need to stop making seventh elements in fantasy. It's too much. Alas, there is and we must figure out what it is. I think it is closely related to whatever the heck is going on with conjurers and Sophie's teleportation but I'm also kinda making this up.
Each element kind of has an extreme. Flashers have the ability to control quintessence, which is light in its purest form, right? Shades can control shadowflux, a physical shadow that destroys. Pyrokinetics have everblaze, the purest embodiment of the wild and living flame. I figured "Bottles of Youth" are an example of the purest, most life-giving water but that it is simply more commonly used because its beneficial rather than destructive (like the Celestial elements are). So in that vain, what would be the beneficial, purest forms of Air, that Gusters could control, and Earth, which gnomes, dwarves, or technopaths could control, depending on which theory we're running with here? Is there no tainted form of Elysian or is the Elysian that Sophie meets the purest form? Is this "void" tainted or pure? Maybe Elysian is the general, tainted element and Void is the pure form of it.
No one is going to read this, I almost guarantee it, but idk maybe I'll update this myself with my own ideas or something. Figured I'd post it anyways and see what happens.

KotLC and PJO- A Masterpost
Last Updated: August 2nd, 2024
Help from: @moonrose18 @labaguetteisdabest @awful-amatuer @queenpiranhadon @ad-woof @beautifulenemychild @yourtwistedlies @softmoonlightmelody @sabrine-bree-the-bravery @in-every-reality
PJO -> KotLC
Percy- Hydrokinetic because of his water abilities.
Annabeth- Talentless because she usually relies on her smarts and has expressed wishing she had abilities like the others.
Jason- Guster because of his wind control and Charger because of his electricity control.
Leo- Pyrokinetic because of his fire powers and Technopath because of his tech/ electronic control.
Piper- Beguiler because she can use her Charmspeak to make someone listen to her.
Hazel- Conjurer because of her summoning of jewels and Mesmer because of her use of the Mist and how she can affect what people see. Mesmers affect people's actions, and how Hazel can say "look at the wall" and suddenly there's a wall seems more Mesmer than Beguiler.
Frank- Phaser because they can change their form and Polyglot because they can speak ANYTHING.
Nico- Shade because he can control shadows.
Thalia- Charger because she can control electricity.
Reyna- Enhancer because she can enhance others' abilities.
Will- Flasher because he can light up (I think?? Not finished with the series.) He could do something like Elwin and use his Flasher abilities to be a doctor.
Grover- I have three options for him. A Gnome because of how much Satyrs love nature, a Telepath like Fitz since he found Percy like Fitz found Sophie, or a Hydrokinetic so he has the same ability as Percy when he finds him, which is what happened with Fitz and Sophie.
Rachel- Human aware of the elves' existence.
Tyson- Ogre because of Ogres (like Cyclops) being seen as monsters, and while some are, not all are.
Calypso- Descryer because of Ogygia's magic. Heroes (who, of course, have potential if they're heroes) wash up on shore.
Clarisse- Inflictor because of her abilities being able to cause pain on others (I think).
Juniper- Gnome because she's like a Wood Nymph or something so part tree or something like that like gnome are, or if she was to be an elf, then a Guster because it's the closest to an earthy ability.
Hylla- Telepath because of being a leader and Beguiler because of leading the Amazons (think of how they have their men).
Connor- Conjurer! You know, thief, conjurer.
Travis- Same as Connor.
Bianca- Shade because of being a daughter of Hades and Empath because it fits her vibe, and I just feel like she would be.
Ella- Dwarf because she gives Dwarf vibes.
Zoë- Psiniopath because of leading and protecting the Hunters.
Silena- Beguiler because of her possible Charmspeak and love magic.
Beckendorf- Technopath because of his tech and electronic abilities.
Festus- Two options: Technopath because he's literally a piece of tech and Pyrokinetic because he could breathe fire, or a Spectral Mirror like Vertina because he's not alive but he almost feels like it.
Drew- Beguiler because she Charmspeaks.
Meg- Four options: Conjurer because of her plant control, Teleporter because of her plant teleportation, Mesmer because of controlling Apollo, or Flasher because yes.
Chris- Conjurer. For fun. And also Hermes.
Luke- Conjurer!!
Katie- Guster is the closest to an Earthy ability.
Estelle- Human little sister of Percy's, like Amy is with Sophie.
KotLC -> PJO
Sophie- Two options: Ares because she starts out looking weak but turns out very strong and has many abilities that would make her terrifying to fight or Zeus because she's a natural leader and her Inflicting looks a lot like lightning.
Fitz- Three options: Aphrodite child because of how the Vackers are perceived, descendant of Venus because of how his whole family is beautiful and charming, or a satyr since he found Sophie like Grover found Percy.
Biana- Same as Fitz, or maybe Iris because of her vanishing.
Keefe- Four options: Hermes because he gives off the vibes, Ares because he's good with weapons, Apollo because he's artsy and bold, or Athena because he's an Empath and can read people.
Dex- Hephaestus kid because of his tech.
Tam- Pluto at Camp Jupiter because their strictness reminds me of Exilium and he's a shade.
Linh- Poseidon (sometimes you can have twins with different parents, albeit rare).
Marella- Hephaestus kid because she would be a Firestarter.
Wylie- Apollo kid (Flasher).
Maruca- The same as Wylie because Psiniopath's make light force fields.
Stina- Hermes vibes, but also Athena because she reads and is an Empath like Keefe.
Amy- Oracle because she isn't an elf, so she wouldn't be a demigod.
Jensi- Unclaimed because he's Talentless.
Rayni- Two options: Apollo like Wylie or Hecate. She joins the Neverseen (A.K.A. the bad guys) and in this universe, the bad guys are people like Luke. It makes more sense for her to be a child of a minor god than someone as important as Apollo. She also gives off Hecate vibes.
Jolie- Either Pluto like Hazel because she conjures things, Aphrodite because she's flirtatious and pretty, or Iris because it fits her vibe.
Rex- The same as the Song twins with the twin-god thing. He's the oldest triplet and Unclaimed because he's Talentless.
Lex- Either Poseidon because he has frost powers (and Khione doesn't have kids) or Hermes because he feels like a Hermes child. He's the youngest triplet.
Bex- Ares middle daughter triplet because I said so, and also, she's a Phaser like Frank.
Alvar- Actually Biana and Fitz's half-sibling. He's a kid of Hermes and a forgotten child. Think of how he has to try to look good.
Fernan- Hermes because yes, Mars because he's a Phaser, or Apollo because Jensi could feel in his brother's shadow.
Brant- Hephaestus because Pyrokinetic.
Vertina- Either a Harpy because it feels right, or if she were a demigod, Aphrodite because her whole thing is makeup.
Ruy- Phoebus (Roman Apollo) because he's a Psiniopath and uses light.
Gethen- Athena because he's a Telepath.
Trix- Jupiter because of his wind abilities.
Umber- Pluto because of her shadows.
Ro- Bellona because ogres are all about war.
Sandor- Mars because goblins are raised for war.
Grizel- Bellona (not Mars; she's dating Sandor).
Lovise- Mars.
Woltzer- Mars underdog who gets bossed around by Sandor.
Bo- Mars (married to Ro).
Flori- Descendant of Ceres (Roman Demeter) because she's a gnome. Calla and Yuri and the others are her family.
Nubiti- Trivia (Roman Hecate). Feels about right.
Brielle- Bellona, trained for war.
Cadoc- Mars I guess.
Tarina- Mars because Minerva doesn't have kids.
Eleanor- Mortal with sight vibes.
Cad- Mars??
