A Short Comparison: Shaolin Virtues vs. Confucian Principles
Both Shaolin virtues and Confucian principles are guiding lights for ethical conduct, but they stem from different philosophical backgrounds. Photo by Diana on Pexels.com Shaolin Temple, far from just a martial arts school, is steeped in the rich tapestry of Buddhist philosophy and is considered the cradle of Chan (Zen) Buddhism in China. This Buddhist foundation deeply influences and shapes…

Péi nǐ dào shìjiè zhī diān (Gank Your Heart)
WANG YIBO as Ji XiangKong (2019)
See the OST photoshoot
And a little treat: WYB dancing on set with the cast —
youtube
#Wang YiBo#ji xiang kong#gank your heart#So I adore WYB with my whole heart and JXK is kind of an ass in the beginning#Which I love because it gives us a nice character arc#In fact all of the characters get a character arc which is delightful#And I really liked Wang Zixuan as Qiu Ying. And her bestie played by Rain Lu was hilarious. The storyline with QY’s stepmom killed me#And Pei Xi is head over heels for JXK#but JXK just happens to wear Gu Fang’s RING on a chain for the ENTIRE SHOW#Not Wang YiBo just consistently choosing characters that somehow happen to be a little queer#there's some next level bullying and sabotage that happens in this show and I had to ask my bestie more than once if everything would be ok#Ji Xiang Kong isn’t deranged like Zhai ZhiWei but he is definitely as handsome#I love how driven the mains are. There’s also some interesting commentary on the price of fame and being an idol. Very meta#WYB pours himself into this role the way he does with everything and he’s just so fun to watch#i love him your honor#Youtube

您的姓名。[ your name. ] an Our Life: Now and Forever AU
Every once in a while, when I wake up, I find myself crying. Whatever dream it was that I had, I can never quite recall; the feeling that I've lost something lasts for a while afterwards.
I'm always searching for something—someone. This feeling has taken over me since that day.
The day the stars came falling.
It was alike a scene from a dream. Nothing more, nothing less than a breathtaking view.
QIU "AUTUMN" LIN— a proclaimed city kid. And not just any kid at that: they were the one to take center stage, the one to reach out; Autumn made themselves ever-present in the hearts and minds of many. At fourteen-years-old and at the tippy top of their list of childish ideals was the very concept of "trying". While they rebuffed nearly anyone and everyone who dared to wish for time in their presence, if Qiu didn't like someone, chances are slim to none that'd be changing.
TAMARACK BAUMANN— for the longest time in her life, she has always found beauty within the forest. However, from once a girl who took life by its horns and rode to seize each day impulsively was now a lady. A lady who drew to life with great delicacy, i.e., she was always walking on eggshells. Tamarack lacked the certainty she used to. What bits and pieces were truly "Tamarack"? Maybe all, maybe none. She hadn't managed to convince most people that there was a clear picture they could accept and understand as "her". Probably because she didn't understand herself either.
TEASER I !! I rewatched the movie a couple lot of times just for this ‼️ Some parts may look like they were from the actual thing, thanks to this doc that I found online and yes, Tamarack and Qiu's intros come from the actual game lolololol. This was also originally supposed to be my entry for @/goldengroovy's onlf week for day 1 or kaya day 7 ^^ kaso alam kong tatamarin ako masyado para magpaka consistent hshsaha

What will Liu Quitian’s life be like if her mom never died
i've already answered this ask about what her mom would have been but i think i can go a little deeper for this au.
so, Analyn Danao/Lin Liqiu, Qiu's mother. would be more like Camilla Noceda from the owl house. except she's divorced and made sure to cut off contact with her ex-husband's family while also making sure her and her daughter lived well.
Qiu's way of meeting mac would still be the same, stealing ancient artifact that belonged to her family in the middle of the night while her mom was at work, getting cursed and now she has to hide that fact from her mom while she's training to be a warrior.
Qiutian would still view Mac as a father figure, in comparison to her father, Tao Xuan (who instead gave her both trust issues and abandonement trauma like the father of the year he is)
in the sub-au , qiu still lives with her mother while occassionally staying over at macaque's to train or just hang out.
and no, Analyn does Not like Macaque. it's a one-sided situation-ship where mac is trying to appear as a good role-model for the kid and honestly not get his ass served to him.
think of it as how pigsy views wu kong, except he's even more protective of mk and ready to pick violence the second swk slips up.

"Be loyal and trustworthy. Do not befriend anyone who is lower than yourself in this regard. When making a mistake, do not be afraid to correct it."
Confucius, born Kong Qiu was a Chinese philosopher of the Spring and Autumn period who is traditionally considered the paragon of Chinese sages. Confucius's teachings and philosophy underpin East Asian culture and society, and remain influential across China and East Asia to this day.
Born: Qufu, Jining, China
Died: Lu, China
Life and Times: Confucius, also known as Kong Fuzi or Master Kong, lived during the Spring and Autumn period of Chinese history, around 551–479 BCE. He was born in the state of Lu (modern-day Shandong, China) during a time of political and social unrest.
Founder of Confucianism: Confucius is considered the founding figure of Confucianism, a philosophical and ethical system that emphasizes the importance of moral values, social harmony, and the cultivation of virtue. His teachings are primarily compiled in a collection known as the "Analects."
Five Relationships: Confucius emphasized the importance of social harmony through the concept of the Five Relationships, which include ruler-subject, father-son, husband-wife, elder brother-younger brother, and friend-friend. Maintaining proper conduct within these relationships was seen as essential for a harmonious society.
Ren and Li: Two key concepts in Confucianism are "Ren" and "Li." Ren refers to benevolence or compassion, emphasizing the quality of humaneness and the importance of cultivating virtuous relationships. Li encompasses rituals and proper conduct, emphasizing the importance of social etiquette and moral propriety.
Legacy and Influence: Confucius' teachings have had a profound and lasting impact on Chinese culture, ethics, and philosophy. Confucianism became a central part of Chinese thought and greatly influenced the moral and social fabric of East Asian societies. Even today, Confucian principles continue to shape aspects of Chinese culture and governance.
