Denmark has a new king
The Danish monarch changed earlier today – Queen Margrethe II abdicated and King Frederik X became the king. Unlike the English traditions around crowning a new monarch, the Danish procedure is a fairly low-key affair, in which the Danish Prime Minister declares that the former monarch has abdicated (or died, as is the usual case), long live the new monarch. The livestream for the Denmark/Iceland state banquet has started. It's the first incoming state visit of the new reign so I expect Queen Mary to wear the Emerald Parure Tiara but I would love to see her debut Queen Ingrid's Floral Aigrette Tiara.

As it happened with the state visit to Sweden, I'm busy at work and can't really do an extensive search for a link of the gala dinner in Norway tonight, but I found this one and hopefully it works okay
It will start in less than 3 hours

For the previously inevitable, now upcoming, Fate Samurai Remnant collab event with FGO, there were three Servants I was really hoping would NOT be added to FGO: FSR Saber, Berserker Musashi, and Miyamoto Iori. And they've already added the first one. Sigh...
As for Berserker Musashi, if she's added to FGO, it would 1) undermine Musashi's erasure at the end of Olympus, 2) we already have Berserker Musashi with her summer version, it would be so much more confusion to add another Berserker Musashi, and 3) it feels, to me, that Berserker Musashi works so much better as... a unique encounter, a singular experience, just for Iori, to be able to see and fight his Sensei again, and for Musashi to see her pupil, at least one version of him, both similar and different to the one she knew. I feel like that Musashi, that version of her, should be something uniquely singular, a once in a lifetime chance for a once in a lifetime reunion, and adding her to FGO would undermine that.
It's very similar for Iori, like Shuttershocky's post said, Iori is a man born in the wrong time, born not in war but also unable to live fully in peace, he is a swordsman with skill, yes, but no name besides that of his adoptive father and no true claim to fame and Servanthood. And I personally fear, and would rather not have it happen, that he'd be the welfare Servant in the FSR event, cuz that does tend to be the way with FGOs collabs, the protagonist characters (Ryougi Shiki, Gray, Sieg, Erice) tend to be the Welfare ones.
All that being said......... you could do something really interesting if he's still in the event, just hopefully not as a Servant. HELL! It would be very exciting to have him somehow be the antagonist! "To serve as an upheaval for all eternity", right?!
As for the other FSR originating Servants: I personally feel that Samson and Zhou Yu personally work better in FSR, the way their stories are tied to that Grail War and their Masters (for Samson, it's those he connected, if not contracted, with), that I'd rather not have them be summonable in FGO, but it's more alright than the ones above. Toss FSR Caster in there too, I guess, I have no problem with him being in FGO but most of his nature and role is tied to him facing Saber in that specific Grail War, what the fuck is he gonna do in FGO? I also don't see much of a point to adding FSR Rider to FGO either, because she's kinda already been there and I dunno if she'd be adding anything new? I'm welcome to being surprised though.
Rogue Saber, I'm completely fine with him jumping into FGO, he already has connections to characters there and he's not super dependent on the nature of FSRs HGW and plot, he could fit in easily. Same with Assassin too, mostly. (I originally wasn't a fan of his True Name reveal but his Lanky Kong-ass has grown on me)
A couple of the Masters, actually, you could stretch into Servants (I say stretch because they're not super prominent or well known, kinda below standard Servant quality levels, but FGO has made 'weaker' ones work). Koei Tecmo does their research well, Zheng Chenggong, Yui Shosetsu, and Takao Dayu were all real people, and Dorothea is the fictional daughter of the real Frederik Coyette (who actually unsuccessfully fought Chenggong when the latter took Taiwan from the Dutch). Chiemon, well, I don't know if I'd want to see him as a Servant, but I would LOVE to see some interaction between him and Amakusa. Also, Tsuchimikado gets a criminally low amount of attention with how he was built up as the ritual's mastermind. I'd welcome the event expanding more on him!
Ultimately, though, what I do think could work and might actually want to see as the welfare... would be Kaya+Ototachibanahime. That was a moment in FSR that I felt really didn't get enough screentime and explanation, having them as a welfare Caster in FGO could help with explaining that, and they do already fit the pseudo-Servantness that other crossed over characters have.
#I only mention Archer and Berserker's true names cuz they're revealed early on#fate samurai remnant#fsr spoilers#fate samurai remnant spoilers#fate grand order#fgo#my posts

music tag game
let’s do this, me gustan estos jueguitos musicales (sobre todo si este da la chance de hablar de música un rato)
tagged by @kamiporterbridges
RULES: You can usually tell a lot about a person by the type of music they listen to. Put your playlist on shuffle and list the first 10 songs, and then tag 10 people. No skipping!
1.- Iron Maiden - The Number of the Beast: Absolute classic, quintessential Maiden, it fucking slaps
2.- David Wise - Dragon Forest (Diddy Kong Racing OST): David Wise is the representation of that meme of the dude playing a piano on fire in the beach after a simple request, in this case, “it’s just a mascot racer with funny animals”. But the dude excels at what he does, and that stint with Rare in the mid to late 90′s its iconic for a reason.
Also, Diddy Kong Racing was better than Mario Kart 64, and y’all know its true
3.- Koji Kondo - Goron City (The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time OST): Dude’s a legend, music’s great, one of the best VGOST of all time
4.- Marillion - Lavender: I think Marillion’s one of the most underrated prog rock bands, especially of the 80′s. And that A Side of the Misplaced Childhood album it’s amazing (with Pseudo-Silk Kimono, Kayleigh, Lavender, Bittersweet Suite and Heart of Lothian). Also, Fish’s a cool dude and has an amazing voice (think a scottish Peter Gabriel if you’ve never heard him)
5.- Johnny Cash - The Mercy Seat: Originally by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, re-recorded by Johnny Cash for the American Recordings albums. I mean, the original its great, but like with all those covers, Johnny Cash just took the song and made it his own and something truly special, and it’s one hell of a performance. It speaks about a death row inmate and draw parallels with spirituality and christianity (the title makes reference to both the electric chair and the lid of the Ark of the Covenant), so it was a tailor made for Johnny Cash, who also used the song to raise awareness against capital punishment
6.- Los Jaivas - Corre que te Pillo: a kinda sorta instrumental, but technically not one ‘cause it does have some words, it’s just a great sample of musical talent and of the prog rock meets jazz meet traditional andean music and chilean folklore that Los Jaivas does
7.- Tristania - My Lost Lenore: I like gothic metal, it kinda soothes and relaxes me, and Vibeke Stene’s voice is just lovely
8.- Jorn - Make Your Engine Scream: Jorn Lande’s got a great voice and his music slaps, what more do you need
9.- Frederik Wiedmann - Hal vs Atrocitus (Green Lantern: The Animated Series soundtrack): Wiedmann its an underrated composer, he’s done a lot of animated stuff with superheroes, but his work in Green Lantern: TAS -like everything with that show- went under the radar of many people
10.- The OneUps - Bossa de Link: In that huge and great genre that its “jazz covers of VGM”, The OneUps are one of the greatests bands and one of the first I discovered over 15 years ago, and this bossa nova cover of the main theme of The Legend of Zelda its pretty good
Tagging whoever wants to do it, here’s your chance, talk about music for a while, have some fun!

Nisu provodili dovoljno vremena skupa. Do tog je zaključka došao odavno. Tu se više ništa ne može. Osobito ne sad, kad ona živi tako daleko; s mužem i djecom odlučila je preseliti se u Hong Kong. On je to doživio kao kaznu.

Last Chinese Emperor's Watch Sells for $6.2 Million
An auction house in Hong Kong sold several items on Tuesday that belonged to Aisin-Giyoro Puyi, the last emperor of China, who was dethroned in 1912. The items included a Swiss-made luxury watch, which went for $6.2 million.
The watch was a Patek Philippe Reference 96 Quantieme Lune, one of just eight known to exist. The unknown collector who purchased it did so at nearly twice the price it was expected to net, setting a record for the make of watch and for timepieces previously owned by emperors.
The ultra-rare timepiece was made in Geneva in 1937 and has a Bauhaus-inspired platinum case that houses a silvered dial, with a rose-gold chapter ring and enamel hour markers. It also has an indicator for phases of the moon and a triple-date calendar - features just as rare in 1930s watches as the watch itself.
Twitter: Frederik Balfour@Frederikbalfour! #phillips selling last emperor Puyi’s Patek Philippe May 23 in Hong Kong. One of only 8 made, and 3 known to still exist. Estimate: $3 million. Appeals to watch nerds and history buffs. Puyi’s gifted it to Russian interpreter in 1950 after 5 years internment in Siberia. #watches
"I was delighted because after more than 3 years of hard work on researching, we found all the missing pieces of this beautiful puzzle," said Thomas Perazzi, Phillips’ head of watches for Asia. "This result brings Hong Kong to a new level as really a hub for fine watches and extremely important, collectible timepieces."
It’s not known how Puyi acquired the watch, which he gave to his Russian interpreter, Georgy Permyakov, while in a Soviet prison after World War II. Puyi was arrested by Soviet forces during the final weeks of the war, as the Red Army launched its invasion of Japanese-held territories in China and Korea. Puyi had ignominiously served as the Japanese Empire’s ruler of Manchukuo, the puppet state established in Manchuria after it seized the region from China in 1931.
Puyi was just two years old when he ascended to the Dragon Throne in 1908 at the urging of the late Empress Dowager Cixi, who died days before his crowning as the Xuantong Emperor. Just four years later, Puyi was forced to abdicate the throne by a swelling revolutionary movement, which declared a Republic of China in February 1912, ending 2,132 years of imperial rule. However, he continued to live in the palace complex and was briefly reinstalled as emperor as warring factions vied for power.
In 1932, he successfully courted the Japanese Empire, which allowed him to become its puppet ruler in Manchukuo, taking on the name Kangde. However, he was almost totally a figurehead, signing proclamations issued to him by Tokyo.
Following his arrest by the Soviets in 1945, Puyi was imprisoned and tried for war crimes at the Tokyo Trials, but escaped execution and was instead sentenced to ten years in prison and to be politically reeducated. In 1950, he was extradited to the newly-founded People’s Republic of China, which had succeeded at reuniting all of China except for Taiwan under a socialist republic. He was released in 1959 a deeply changed man, expressing regret for his time as an emperor. Puyi joined the Communist Party of China and even served as a representative in the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and the National People's Congress before dying in 1967.
Other items sold at the auction also belonging to Puyi include a manuscript notebook, a leather-bound edition of Confuscius' "Analects," which together sold for $121,634 - almost five times the pre-sale estimate - and an inscribed red paper fan given to Permyakov in Tokyo, which sold for $77,846 - six times the pre-sale estimate.
