KNB: a scented story

Hello everyone!

✨Here is the post that came out of a conversation with the wonderful beauties @fellow-deviant, @lamnwar, @0214letters, @officialparentofadrien ✨

What perfume could the Knb guys wear according to their personality (and in my opinion)?

I'll put my choices here, let me know if you agree or disagree. I have also included 3 characters that I am particularly fond of, but I am open to adding others if you suggest them.

🩵 Kuroko:

determined, kind but also very in touch with the sensitivities of others. Reminds me a bit of the sunrise after a night out with friends, that feeling of a unique and comfortable moment.

I think he would wear a fresh perfume, slightly spicy but not bitter, perhaps with an aquatic and metallic touch, something like

Echo- Davidoff -> suede, nutmeg, sandalwood and a touch of chili.

💜Musakibara:

Apparently lazy, a bit spoilt, fond of sweets and sports, he is like those neighbourhood cats who seem to spend all their time with their bellies in the sun and instead have a strict schedule of where to go for cuddles. He reminds me of brown sugar, sweet but also aromatic, and in my opinion he is the type that would do wonders with a unisex fragrance based on vanilla and osmanthus but with a warm, woody base (I love the contrast between his 2 metres and the delicacy of white flowers). He'd rock this one:

Vanilla Exclusif- Mancera -> White Peach, Osmanthus, Whipped cream and Brown sugar with a base of amber and woods.

💛 Kise:

It makes me smile just thinking about him. The brother I would like: polite, sunny, affectionate but also capable, competitive, empathetic and not at all bothered by his success or beauty. OK, he's a Gemini like me, so sometimes we're a bit of a nuisance, but…. You get used to it! He reminds me of the excitement of doing something for the first time, of having to keep a secret in order to surprise someone, but also of the fear of getting bored quickly and being left behind.

This complexity can be expressed with a zesty, citrusy opening that evolves with pepper and ends with musk and incense (which are in perfumery the connection between sprit and body). It's a sexy scent, for sure!

Dylan Blue- Versace -> bergamot, fig, pepper, papyr, musk, incense.

💚 Midorima:

Quoting Hitchcock's definition of Grace Kelly, he is 'hot ice'.

Serious, meticulous, ironic and quirky all at once, he has an undeniable charm, always keeping you on the edge of love-hate. He reminds me of a garden in the sun, but also of a library at midnight, a plate of hot ramen but also the slush that makes you 'freeze your brains out'. For him, I chose a fragrance that is apparently very masculine but revolves all around a delicate flower: iris.

Dior Homme Eau for Men- Dior -> grapefruit, iris, amber, cedarwood.

💘 Akashi:

The guy who has everything but the emotional necessary. Yet he struggles, with struggles that no one sees, to become himself again but also not to lose what he has learnt. Sei reminds me of confidences drinking lemon tea, roses, peace after great suffering, the beauty of balance when you had to build it; but also the thrill of imagining a new future.

Rose ikebana- Hermes -> roses, rhubarb, tea, spices, moss

💙 Aomine:

The bad guy who is not so bad. The lazy guy who tries to get noticed because he's too messed up to realise he needs to, the guy who thought he'd lost his best friend's trust and interest in his greatest passion. I'd like to give him an alpha male scent, but in my opinion Daiki is much simpler, in the sense of minimal. It reminds me of a warm sunny day where you don't have to do anything special, maybe on holiday, when you have time to look up teh sky and fantasise. I think he would happily wear something low-key, like 'your skin but better', with ozone (oxygen) notes, amber wood and musk.

I'm also sure that if his better half gave him a perfume he would bathe in it every time he knew he had to see her, but that's another story.

11 11 - Lake & Skye -> ozonic, musk, amberwood

🩷 Momoi:

My favourite girl in the series, so understanding, sweet but also determined. She does not compromise but knows how to stand aside, she trusts Tetsu and his intuition blindly and she is right. The patience of the saints both with the GOM and at Too, the need to be part of a group and to keep being together. She is very feminine, but also very sharp so she reminds me of the scent of magnolia which is sweet but not cloying. For her I chose a simple floral with a hint of lemon to emphasise her freshness.

Magnolia Alba- Chloè -> Magnolia, citrus zest

❤ Kagami:

The boy who is all fire and passion but is a first-class softie. He always makes me smile when he gets embarrassed over nothing or when his mighty physicality clashes with that not-so-well-hidden shyness. He is a mix that struggles to find its roots, but he is an intelligent guy, just a bit impulsive. I think he uses an 'important' perfume to cover himself a little. I think the perfume that was created as the 'essence of determination' is perfect for him.

Blue de Chanel- Chanel -> woody, zesty, green notes

🩶 Teppei:

He deserves more consideration. He has this adult/kid ambivalence that makes him so charming, an eccentric but also a character who is able to inspire and uplift others even when he himself is in doubt. He's shrewd but never harsh, sometimes a little manipulative (but for a good purpose). When i think about him I think about opposites, like tecnology and traditition all blended together. So this perfume has notes of Yuzu but also sea and ambergris (that is syntetic).

Invictus Aqua- Paco Rabanne -> Yuzu/ marine/violet leaf/ambregris

no one asked for this, I just thought about fem!aomine one random night back in february and then my mind started obsessing about the concept of fem!gom bc I'm a woman lover first, human second Warnings: it's some genderbend hcs so description of fem bodies, some of them are men haters (as they should 😘), mention of various sexual orientations bc ain't no way some of them would be straight, that's mainly it I think?

AKASHI

fem!Akashi is a QUEEN let me say that first

she's so gracious and smart and pretty omg!! no one can top her

small but so potent, she'd have everybody kneel on her path

fem!Akashi has the most lucious red locks out there, walking shampoo commercial fr

she keeps them long and sometimes tie them in a neat low ponytail

has bangs! (that she cut herself during a mental breakdown but shhh no one can know that she is actually insane)

wear luxury brands because she's a rich girl but has quite a sober look

fem!Akashi is captain of almost all teams/club she's in, and that's because she's a natural born leader (that much wouldn't change)

definitely the kind of girl every other girl fawn over because she's just so perfect, you know?

Doesn't date because she has the highest standards ever for men and she's still not aware of her attraction to women (it's ok boo, you'll get there eventually <3)

manages to look royal even when she's all sweaty in the middle of a basketball match

MIDORIMA

tall, gracious, and has a mean face

but she's also like... stunningly beautiful under her permanent scowl (it's her crazy long eyelashes!!!)

the smartest girl you'll ever meet, she's a walking encyclopedia

ALWAYS has manicured hand, but never wears extensions/crazy colours

that's why it's quite surprising to most that she plays basketball given how much time she spends caring for her nails and hands in general

a bit of a diva, ngl

she just assumes the world should give her the princess treatment and you know what? she's kinda right about that

maybe she's a bit mean, but she's flawless outside of that

rumours have it she's dating fem!takao (fem!takao's the one who spreaded the rumour because she's very blatant about her crush on fem!midorima)

she's not addressing the rumors (she kissed fem!takao once and refused to face her feelings)

has a pixie cut with a 7:3 split that makes her look like these super classy businesswomen, if you get the vision

now... this need to be addressed; my girl has been blessed by the big titty fairy

constantly fighting with fem!aomine for staring too much at her chest

KISE

OF COURSE fem!kise is absolutely gorgeous who are we kidding

a model, who might be on the path to become an idol, too

has absolutely everyone head over heels for her

not to mention that she has that cute, girly look that makes her look so doll-like

and on top of that she's good at EVERYTHING

effortlessly charming, you can't hate her

even the jealous ones are somewhat secretly fans

is that eyeliner or the natural shape of her eyes? we may never know but she's got very enticing eyes

gorgeous blond hair that are kinda wavy, which makes her look like a princess

is a LESBIAN she's for the girls ONLY literally such a woman lover, she lives breathes eats women

has that kind of relationship with fem!aomine where she flirts with her just to see her get flustered because she knows she's exactly fem!aomine's type

I mean... pretty face, hourglass figure, a good D cup, she's THAT girl

yeah... she's just perfect

AOMINE

fem!aomine prompted all this btw

I just started by stating that she's in the itty-bitty titty committee and that makes her live in perpetual rage

especially because fem!kise, fem!midorima and fem!kagami got blessed in that department and just... WHY??

why them and not her? :( (talking like these aren't my headcanons and I have all the right to decide differently)

little does she know that she's one of the hottest girls around

it's that constant scowl on her face and her love for low-waisted baggy jeans

(might occasionally wear a whale tail but that's only when she's trying to subtly seduce her enemies (fem!kise))

known for punching guys, she's their worst nightmare 😈

just can't stand men in general and finds joy in physically fighting them

but women? hehehe... women make her WEAK

she's so easily flustered by a pretty girl giving her attention

still a basketball head, because that's who aomine is across all universes

she likely has a fanclub from that, as I mentioned before she's popular

does fem!aomine also reads gravure magasines? not quite but she's found out about spicy romance mangas and that kinda does it for her

likely to live her whole life denying her crush on fem!kise

MURASAKIBARA

fem!murasakibara is of course the tallest girl in the vicinity everywhere she goes

kinda intimidating, if you'd ask me but she's actually super chill

she might have people question her femininity because of her build but honestly? she doesn't give a fuck

she's comfortable in her looks - yeah she's tall and muscular, but she likes herself that way

pulls the androgenous style like no one else, a walking bi-panic trigger (I'm the first one falling 😞)

you know that girl that walks around with an entire pantry in her handbag? yeah, that's her

likes wearing skirts! also shamelessly (wo)manspreads when wearing one

she braids her hair often, mainly because it's practical when playing basketball

rumoured to have an emo girlfriend (it's fem!himuro and they're not dating, just spending most of their time together)

she's a low-effort girlie and it sometimes frustrated fem!akashi has a 12-step skincare routine and doesn't understand fem!murasakibara's simplicity

regardless, she's effortlessly beautiful and she's totally chill about it

fem!kise enjoys putting makeup on her, because, I quote "she's got such an amazing face"

KUROKO

ik it's weird to start with that but that's what I came up with first when thinking about fem!kuroko

discovered space buns on tumblr in 2015 and doesn't stop wearing them

she's that girl that always listens to music and reads at the back of the class

she's the cute type so she often gets attention from boys

doesn't mind dating but it's not a priority in her life either

that one girl that holds the group of friends together by being everyone's favourite

loves to hang out with her girls!! will tag along in all of their plans

need someone to practice basketball with? she's there. need someone to go shopping with? ask fem!kuroko. need someone to rant to? she's your girl.

also knows about all the GOM's love life because they all go to her to talk about it

imagine her seeing any form of fem!kise and fem!aomine interaction knowing damn well what's happening there hihi

just a great girl overall!

KAGAMI

fem!kagami... my beloved

she's scary in the best way possible

always by fem!kuroko's side and unknowingly becomes her bodyguard

the definition of tomboy! she's really not into traditionally feminine stuff

has a wolfcut because yes

another one with big boobs but she kinda hates it because it sometimes ruins her aesthetic, yk?

like, when she can't pull the oversize look because of the girlies and it's just SO frustrating

also not very practical with her powerful style of playing basketball

they just... get in the way

constantly fighting with fem!aomine over stupid stuff, is not scared to punch her if need be

the fact that she's an amazing cook is surprising to most because she's such a rough girl that doing something as intricate as cooking is out of character

and it's just as confusing to know that she often gives company to fem!kuroko when she's doing her sweet reviews

now to what we're all wondering... is fem!kagami gay?

the answer is yes. like fem!aomine, she's a man hater and a woman lover

she's just more comfortable around girls than fem!aomine

doesn't know how to flirt because her head's empty except for basketball

but she pulls because... come on! look at her! tall, pretty, muscular, she's just a catch

denies the fem!kuroko x fem!kagami allegations (ofc fem!kuroko is her precious pookie but that's all there is to them)

Today let's talk about some other nice guys, thank you so much for asking me for their profiles, they are wonderful characters and I am happy to be able to discuss them with you.

🧡 Takao

He is the friend who always saves you, the one to whom you don't have to say anything and who understands you on the fly, the one who takes care of you without ever taking himself too seriously or even taking credit. Ironic, intelligent, charismatic and deeply good and protective, he is the playful version of Shin-chan, his perfect sidekick (and vice versa). When I think of him I think of a summer toast, mojitos, bare feet in the sand, the comfort of a hug around a campfire. My choice for him is a citrusy but non-trivial cologne, with the accent of mint and the warmth of liquor, let the party begin!

Guerlain Homme- Guerlain -> Mojito, citrus, ventiver

💜 Himuro

One of the most sensitive characters in the whole series, but also one of the most melancholic, in my opinion. He experiences the same discomfort as Taiga in the opposite way, in silence and almost caring for Musakibara, because he is a giver.

But then he tries to hide everything under a tough exterior, just like his little American brother. The image I associate with him is that of the praline, which has a chocolate shell on the outside protecting a smooth heart (it's a bit funny Himuro praline, I know). I think he would love a perfume a little smoky or with leather notes but with a warm heart, an alpha male fragrance, because like Taiga, he has to disguise himself and be brave.

A*Men Pure Havane -Thierry Mugler -> tobacco, honey, cocoa, amber

💙 Kasamatsu

Yukio is sexy. He can't help it, he can act tough all he wants, but in my opinion there isn't a girl at Kaijo who hasn't given it a thought. Reflective, deep, committed but always in for a good laugh, a born leader but also someone who doesn't want to make others worry, and in my opinion he suffers a lot on his own, as I said here. He plays the guitar so I know he's incredibly romantic as well, wothout losing his rocker guy appeal. He reminds me of the beauty in the everyday things, a ray of sun hitting the room and creating a magic setting, a unexpected kiss, a tight hug. I think he'd love something clean, direct but wholesome like this one where the fresh bergamot meets the sparkling pepper and the soothing woods.

Hero- Burberry -> bergamot, pepper, juniper, cedar wood

🤍 Mayuzumi

Enigmatic, shy, seemingly disinterested in what is said about him or to him but actually very careful that no one underestimates him or treats him without respect. He has little presence, but in a different way from Tetsu, a little more passive if I may say so. I associate him with the sea in winter, partly because of its colors, partly because like the sea he seems still but in reality he is always moving. I chose a scent I know well because I use, which smells like saltiness on a cold day.

Sel de Ventiver- The Different Company -> Cardamom, ylang-ylang, iris, salt, bourbon ventiver

I was just rewatching Supernanny and got an idea so here are my headcanons of kid Teiko gang + Kagami and how I think they would have dealt with being put on timeout.

Kuroko:

Would get placed in timeout and actually stay there

Wouldn't make any sound and would patiently wait for his time to be up

So quiet and well-behaved for it that they forget he's in timeout and he's kinda just sitting on the chair waiting to be let out. Please free him.

Kagami:

Will sit in timeout but will make sure you know he's unhappy about it

Won't get up from where he's placed but he will fidget around

Depending on how unfair he thinks the punishment is he will either fold his arms or be on the verge of tears

Kise:

Will 100% whine and/or cry

Won't get up from where he's placed but will still try and bargain his way out of punishment

May or may not be sorry for what he did after the punishment is over

Midorima:

Will be shocked about getting put on timeout but does not fuss about it once he gets placed in it

Actually spends the time reflecting on his behavior like he's supposed to

Will offer a sincere apology the moment he gets out

Aomine:

Already over the punishment before it even begins, he's whining and dragging his feet to try and delay the inevitable

Tries to give an apology midway through the punishment in the hopes of getting out early (it doesn't work)

Will likely go back in timeout 10 minutes later for the same thing he got placed in timeout for the first time

Momoi:

Won't argue about being put in timeout but will be super pouty about the whole process

Uses timeout for the opposite purpose of reflection and instead stews in anger

Takes a while for her to cool off even after the punishment is over

Murasakibara:

Will go into timeout without much fanfare because it's more effort to argue about it

Very disinterested and bored during the timeout and will slide off his chair and constantly have to be placed back

His apologies are equally as halfhearted and he likely doesn't even remember what he should be sorry for anyway

Akashi:

Devasted at the fact that he's been punished

Well-behaved for the timeout but will be internally having an existential crisis at the fact that he is (in his head) not a good boy

Gives a very heartfelt apology when he's done, if he's a bit sniffly while he gives it then no one says anything
