been having a very odd moment in my brain so take exes to lovers with prohero!shoto
Tumblr media
"hi."
"what are you doing here?"
i'm still in love with you.
"i wanted to see how you were holding up." you're a different person compared to the last time he saw you. you from the past would smile at him, softly thanking him for his concern and inviting him inside with a hand on his shoulder. you in front of him, however, just laughs. it's humorless, pained even. you don't laugh the same as you did with him. "what is it?"
"nothing," you say with a shake of your head. "i appreciate you coming by, but i swear i'm fine." he catches the way your eyes space out, if only for a moment like your consciousness disappeared into a different plane of existence. "yeah, i'm fine," you reiterate when your senses come back and you move to close the door. he carefully but firmly stops you from shutting it and you narrow your eyes. "the fuck do you think you're doing?" you never swore when you were with him.
"i brought you food," shoto offers, pulling the plastic bag from behind him and watching patiently as you analyze him like you were assessing his threat level. what had your asshole of an ex done to you to make you so guarded? "it's your favorite," he adds when he interprets your silence as apprehension. without another word, you nod and open the door, no reassuring hand on his shoulder.
you quietly take the bag from him and set it on your kitchen counter, neatly arranging the to-go containers while shoto moves on pure muscle memory to where you keep your plates. he opens the cabinet to find it bare, along with the cabinets to the left and right of it. perhaps you'd rearranged the place with your new--no, old--partner. he doesn't notice the heavy silence until you clear your throat, swallowing thickly.
"i...i smashed all the dinnerware because i was angry...at him," you croak, your head hung in shame. he hums his understanding but his heart sinks into his stomach. a memory flickers to life in the back of his mind: you and shoto in the local pottery studio, painting strawberries and penguins on matching dinner sets. you beam at him and hold up your newest creation, a baby blue bowl decorated with red and white hearts. it's beautiful, love, he says and your grin grows wider. you tell him the colors of the hearts are to match his hair, and that the bowl would always be your favorite because it reminded you of him. i can't wait to eat soba from it, then, since the art will always remind me of the artist.
"there should be paper plates in the bag," he says gently, shutting the cabinet softly because he knows you don't like the sound of it slamming. "if there isn't, i don't mind eating straight from the container."
"thank you for coming over. it means a lot," you murmur with a container and a fork in your hands, bypassing your dining set and opting for the floor of your living room. he follows you, sitting a respectful distance away that violates every thought willing him to hold you close.
"has anyone else been by?"
"mina, momo, and jiro yesterday. midoriya and uraraka the day before that." you release a little puff of air through your nose, an indicator of sad amusement. "even bakugo stopped by with kirishima. that asshole must have known you were coming because he brought cold soba and i told him i don't eat it."
"what did he say?"
"he told me 'i know you don't, but he does.' weird, isn't it?" your eyes flicker from your food up to his own, watching him again. "did you tell bakugo that you were gonna come over?" he shakes his head, the honest answer. "we've been broken up for two years but people still predict how we operate."
"maybe they know something that we don't," he proposes and your expression hardens.
"don't say that. you can't say that."
"you told me relationships are built on trust," he reminds you. "i won't lie to you, even if we aren't together." your grip tightens around your fork and you forcefully set your container on the coffee table. he steadies his resolve, preparing his defenses so that when you lash out, he can take it in stride. you're in love with them, dumbass, bakugo said to him with a scowl during a night at a pros-only bar. they're in love with you, too, so get your heads out of your asses and get back together.
he's not prepared when tears start rolling down your face.
he reaches out on instinct and you dodge his hand, unsuccessfully wiping your eyes with the heel of your hand.
"the reason why we didn't work was because you were honest. you told me it wasn't the right time, that maybe we could try again in the future," your voice cracks and so does something in shoto's chest. "and then we didn't. you moved on, which forced me to move on too, and now you think you can just walk in here and expect me to open up?"
say it.
tell them.
tell them everything you never did. tell them everything you wanted to but couldn't find the words.
tell them you still love them.
"i want you to let me love you again." what?
"i don't understand." that's not what he meant to say...was it?
"i don't either," he whispers and you finally let him brush a tear from your cheek. his body gravitates toward you magnetically and, even after so long, your skin is a familiar sensation. "all i know is that i miss you, and i'm sorry." another round wells up in your eyes but you know it's not from anger; it's from longing.
"he didn't love me," you sniffled. the muscle in shoto's jaw clenches so tightly, he could chip a tooth. "he loved the idea of loving me, but he didn't love me. i hated who i was when i was with him. and," you pause to exhale shakily, "i miss who i was when i was with you."
"i miss who i was when i was with you, too." he offers you a sad smile and you laugh through your tears, a genuine laugh that he knows in his soul is real. "there you are."
"you still love me? even after two years?"
"it felt longer than that," he admits and you smile the kind of smile that you only have when you're with him. "i can't undo leaving, nor can i undo how he was with you...but i can promise i can bring you back to yourself again. because i love who you are when you're with me."
"are you asking me if you can try again?"
"i'm begging you to let me try again," he pleads, taking your hands in his. they're rough and calloused and familiar and safe. "please."
your eyes sparkle and you stand unexpectedly, moving to rummage around in the fridge and kitchen cabinets. when you get back, you're holding a bowl of what he can only assume is bakugo's cold soba. you place it in front of him and settle into his side, resting your head on his shoulder as you grab the tv remote. with a satisfied smile, he opens his chopsticks and looks down at the bowl.
baby blue with red and white hearts.

1905 Romanesque stone house is perfect for Goth lovers. It's in Sioux City, Iowa, has 6bds, 5ba, and is listed for $450K.
Tumblr media
The front door opens to a foyer with a closet, then an inner hall.
Tumblr media
I really like this renovation. The black walls and ceilings just seem to suit this house. A white fireplace stands out beautifully.
Tumblr media
Isn't this a pretty room for conversation?
Tumblr media
Beautiful. Look at the dreamy window seat.
Tumblr media
I love the simplicity of the dining room. The original oak door and molding grace the black wall.
Tumblr media
Love the roomy kitchen. The painted floor and the inlaid in the corner where possibly the old stove stood was preserved. I love the stenciled ceiling.
Tumblr media
You can pull up a chair here while the dinner cooks or cookies bake.
Tumblr media
Two fridges flank a china cabinet. Clever idea.
Tumblr media
Simply elegant ground floor primary bedroom.
Tumblr media
This art deco vanity is gorgeous. I wonder if it conveys.
Tumblr media
While the bath isn't 1905, the color of the later fixtures and tiles were beautifully preserved. What a great job with the matching wallpaper.
Tumblr media
Tucked in the hall is a mahogany bar.
Tumblr media
Large bedroom with pretty wallpaper and a wainscoting effect.
Tumblr media
Look at the handsome colors in this bath. Love this.
Tumblr media
Here's a large room that could be the primary bedroom, family room, or even a library. Love the columns and built-in shelving.
Tumblr media
The original inlaid floors are wonderful. Look at the pocket doors. The overhead lights tilt toward one another.
Tumblr media
Thru the pocket doors there's this sweet pink bedroom.
Tumblr media
Oh, look at the shower and pedestal sink in this bath. The baths must've been renovated in the 20s.
Tumblr media
I wonder if the the tub or shower was originally in this area.
Tumblr media
Very spacious bedroom.
Tumblr media
Yet another great bath.
Tumblr media
This is nice, an enclosed porch.
Tumblr media
Oh, look a secret room. Love this. I think it's the attic.
Tumblr media
Wow, look at this attic.
Tumblr media
Oh, man, the bath up here is definitely original.
Tumblr media
This home is amazing.
Tumblr media
Beautiful painted floor on the large deck in the back.
Tumblr media
.4 acre lot, so it has a nice size yard.

Imagine waking up in an alternate reality where you and Loki are a newlywed couple living in the suburbs
Tumblr media
This isn't my bed.
You opened your eyes, finding yourself nestled in pine green sheets of sateen. How did I even get here? As soon as you sat up, your eyes darted about the room.
Large and luxurious seemed to describe the queen-sized bed you were sitting in. The bedroom had off-white painted walls, a large ebony dresser with a mirror that perfectly captured your reflection, and a three-paned window offering a view of an idyllic suburban neighborhood.
From there, you could see a clean yard with rose bushes and yellow dandelions, all behind a white picket fence. There was a walkway, leading up to what could only be assumed to be the front door. And there was even a little mailbox with a green flag.
You blinked in disbelief at the sight, and decided to turn your attention to the rest of the bedroom. The next thing that caught your eye was the nightstand, which was ebony to match the dresser. Maybe it was part of a set.
On the nightstand was a set of silk ribbons, a wristwatch, and a framed photo. You picked up the frame and saw yourself in a wedding gown, smiling while being hugged by a tall man with dark curls that framed his long, pale face. His eyes crinkled at the corner as he grinned, looking at the camera as if this were the happiest moment of his life. The two of you seemed so perfect together, maybe even in love. The photo was in black and white, so you couldn't say much about the color of his eyes. However, it was obvious that he was wearing a black suit with a lily boutonniere. Classy.
"Morning, darling!"
You looked up to see the same man from the photo, except his curls were dripping and he wore a fluffy, black bathrobe. It didn't take long for you to notice his striking cheekbones, and the besotted look in his eyes that almost resembled the way he looked in the photo. But in all fairness, the camera did not do his beauty complete justice.
He came closer to you and gently planted his lips on yours. He tasted of mint, and his skin smelled like rain. You slowly reciprocated the kiss, putting your fingers on his cheek.
"Were you taking a trip down memory lane?" The man fondly asked, glancing at the photo. "I still can't believe that was only two months ago. Can you?"
You shook your head.
He hugged you from behind and kissed the top of your hair. "I'll finish getting dressed, and then meet you in the kitchen for breakfast."
You climbed out of bed, oblivious to a ring on your left hand. "Where...where are you going,...darling?" You swallowed.
"To work," he chuckles. "Can't be starting a Nexus Event at my own workplace." The man examines himself in the dresser's mirror. Then, he opens a drawer, retrieves a small pot of facial moisturizer, and dabs it on his forehead, rubbing it in circles. "You know the TVA, darling."
"The...Time Variance Authority," you mumbled, watching his reflection. "I should...I should go."
You hurried out of the bedroom, down a long hallway filled with pieces of generic artwork, and into a kitchen.
"What do you think of having pancakes this morning?" The man could be heard asking while you entered what seemed to be the kitchen kitchen.
As if the place were taken straight from the 1950s, everything - the oven, the fridge, the cabinets, and even the wallpaper - was completely pastel green, a shade of seafoam. Why is there so much green in this house?, you asked yourself.
Maybe it was because you watched too many sitcoms, or had seen too many vintage photos, but the first thing you did was put on an apron that had been laying around. And then, you opened the fridge, which was fully stocked with everything: a full carton of milk, a dozen eggs, various vegetables, some cuts of meat wrapped in butcher paper, and cheddar cheese.
Pancakes, you thought to yourself, taking the eggs and milk out of the fridge. Thankfully, there was an unopened box of pancake mix on one of the kitchen countertops. Yes it was strange, cooking breakfast for a man whose name you didn't even know, but he'd been so sweet to you. And maybe if you were on his good side, you could actually get some answers about who he was. "Hm..." A few moments later, while you were mixing the pancake batter in a large bowl, you felt a pair of arms wrap around your waist. "I just can't get enough of you." The man's dulcet voice tickled your ears.
You laughed politely as he kissed your cheek. When you looked over your shoulder, you noticed he was wearing a white button-down shirt , a dark tie, and brown dress pants that showed off his perfectly-tight ass. For a moment, it made you blush. Apparently, the man noticed...and promptly winked in your direction.
As you heated the pan and greased it with butter, you could hear the man pouring himself a cup of coffee or tea, and then opening a newspaper.
"I'm cancelling drinks with Mobius tonight," the man casually said. "Coming straight home after work."
Not knowing at all who he could be referring to, you scooped the batter into the pan and watched it sizzle. "Why?"
He flipped a page of the newspaper. "Because he's making me watch another set of boring trading videos today. It's tedious, honestly." The man smiles when the scent of warm pancakes reaches his nose. "What I wouldn't give to be back on our honeymoon."
"Me too," you lied, placing the golden-brown pancakes onto a plate.
The man set the news paper aside and walked up to you, stroking your hair. "Maybe, tonight...we could even finish what we started on our honeymoon."
"Oh?" You found yourself smiling while you flipped two pancakes.
He whispered, "We could continue trying for a baby."
Don't burn the pancakes. Do NOT burn the pancakes. Blinking, you placed the two new ones with the rest of them on a plate, trying not to let your hand tense around the spatula. "A baby..." You put the plate of pancakes on the dining table, gently pushing aside the newspaper.
Next to the paper was a laminated id badge. It read, 'Time Variance Authority, Name: Loki Laufeyson, Role: Variant, ID: L1130'. You swallowed. struggling to look away from the badge as you tried to understand who the man really was. "Loki?"
"Those smell amazing, darling." Loki sat down and drizzled syrup on the pancakes. Then, procuring a bottle out of thin air, he sprayed a large peak of whipped cream on top.
You handed him a fork and knife, watching him begin to eat.
"Mm!" He moaned, closing his eyes for a moment. "This is delicious! Mm, I knew I married the right woman."
"Married?"
Loki chuckled before feeding you a forkful of pancake, syrup and whipped cream. "I love you more every day, Mrs. Laufeyson."
You gave him a gentle smile while chewing. "I...I love you more, Mr. Laufeyson." You made two pancakes for yourself, turned off the stove, and ate them while sitting across the table from Loki. How could it be possible that you were married to the God of Mischief, the younger prince of Asgard, the frost giant?
While eating, you glanced at your left hand, surprised by the sight of an elegant emerald ring with a gold band placed on your middle finger. But before you could ask Loki about any of this, the God of mischief put his now-empty plate in the sink. "I'd best be off now." He put his arm around your shoulder and pecked you on the lips. "Ah, parting is such sweet sorrow."
Loki walked towards the door with a brown jacket and a briefcase. "Wait! Loki!" You followed him out of the kitchen. "You forgot your badge."
Loki smiled, tapping the left side of his chest. "Pin it here, darling." He watched you with nothing but pure, unadulterated affection. "What would I do without you?" When you'd gotten the badge on his shirt, Loki gave you one last kiss. "No matter what happens," he softly said your name, "never doubt that I love you. I'll see you tonight, darling."

Donnie
He's always making you gadgets and stuff
You didn’t really need them
Only half of them didn’t blow up
Donnie had to figure out a better way to make you happy with his gifts
Since he thought you didn’t like them cause you weren’t using them much (he feels guilty when they blow up)
So he starts watching you carefully
What made you smile the most, what got you excited
When y’all went to the pier and you immediately started picking at the sand
And handing him glass and rocks that were similar in color to his skin/eyes/etc
He realized that you loved collecting this kinda stuff
About a week later he makes you a little music box
Which is pretty nice all on its own
You thought it was just a plain jewelry box at first
He urges you to open it, there’s shells and seaglass inside
Along with an oyster necklace
And your favorite song playing inside
Donnie is very proud of this one and is eager for your inevitable praise
He'll occasionally make you more jewelry and such out of the sea glass, especially the ones you said reminded you of him
Leo
My guy goes above and beyond with this one honestly
You like to collect sea shells, sea glass, cool rocks, etc?
He is going with you to collect stuff
He’ll go out on his own on nights you two can’t talk and go to the beach and looks for stuff you like
This boy is so desperate for attention and approval
He’ll give you a handful of stuff the next time you see each other
His tail wags when he sees you get excited about it
Every time he thinks of you he’ll portal another one (shell, sea glass, etc) from his secret stash
He starts leaving some in odd, innocuous places
You find them for months to come
In your kitchen, your bathroom, on countertops or desks right where you can see them
Others are hidden in drawers or cabinets
You found one in a pot as you were making dinner once
But once he portaled it on your desk while you were working
You smile when you realize that he’s thinking of you as often or more often as you think about him
Mikey
Mikey also loves cool rocks
He stacks them
You’ve made a few towers with him once
He’ll hand you any pretty rock that reminds him of you
One beach trip he ran up to you and said “look! It matches your eyes”
He put it in your hand, smiled, and dashed off again
He decided to paint you the beach But it didn’t look complete
He went to the beach and took some sand and a few shells and pieces of sea glass
He laid out glue on the canvas
Sprinkled the sand over the beach part of the painting
And placed the shells and sea glass purposefully
It gave the piece some nice texture and some visual interest
Then he gifted it to you and insisted you hung it up in your room
So that, even when you were home, you have a part of the beach watching over you
He was so happy to show it to you, and to have his artwork hanging in your room
Raph
Raph knitted you a sweater
Put it in a bag with your favorite colored tissue paper
When you opened it and saw the sweater you thought that was it, because he had been promising to knit you something for ages
However, upon his urging you looked at the bottom of the bag
There was a small wooden box
Like the ones at craft stores that were meant to be painte
You open it
There’s a small collection of sea glass and rocks that you'd given him
You love it regardless
Raph grins and hugs you, picking you up as you both laugh

💐💐💐 "Printemps" Hand Painted Cabinet Set! 💐💐💐 my first build/buy CC! more info + pictures under the cut :D
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
hey everyone! so so happy to show u all my first ever CC made for build/buy mode :D it's basically a recolor/retexture of the S. Cargeaux Set with some flowers. I've always loved painted furniture and folk art and stuff like that so I can't wait to build with these/make more. These specifically were actually inspired by a picture i saw on Twitter of Taylor Swifts kitchen tho! hers are much more intricate (so are most of the reference pictures i could find) but I feel like in the sims that doesn't work as well (and also it would've been much harder!)
INFO: All BGC All color + style tagged (I don't really know if anyone uses the style menu tbh but they are tagged as storybook if you're wondering!) 20 Simoleons There's 4 swatches total for the cabinets, 3 for the upper cabinets, and 2 for the island, which i didn't do any gifs for (sorry) For the regular cabinets there's two variants with flowers, and then t a plain yellow and bonus green. For the upper cabinets there is one painted version, one plain yellow, and a matching green. For the island it's just plain yellow and green too. They all have white countertops!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
here's some more gifs of the cabinets and the sides of the counters and an unedited in game picture :)
DOWNLOAD (Dropbox) or PATREON
AS ALWAYS PLEASE LMK IF YOU HAVE ANY ISSUES <3333
The flower graphics are from a CD-Rom I found on archive.org if anyone is curious. No copyright infringement intended etc.

sleepover !! on the plane of dad!steve: what about steve finding out reader’s pregnant? they’re young enough for it to be a shock, but established relationship or casual hookup is up to you
i hereby name this the first installment of my dad!steve blurb series: the "crazy little thing called love" universe <3
By all accounts, you and Steve did everything right.
Sure, you got married pretty young, but after surviving the end of the world four separate times, you thought you were deserving of the rapid elopement. You moved into a little apartment outside of town shortly after, working like dogs until you could afford a down payment on one of those pretty houses people put in magazines.
Neither of you minded that it was in the middle of the suburbs — that it was “expected” of the Harringtons to live within white picket fences. You were just grateful you didn’t have to live in his vacant childhood home that his parents were kind enough to offer as a present for a wedding they didn’t attend. Steve was more than happy to let the place rot.
It takes your entire first year of marriage to fully decorate the place.
The pool in the backyard is lined with white and yellow striped lounge chairs. The living room is more plants than furniture. The kitchen cabinets are painted green to match the tile in the bathroom. And the bedroom’s got a gallery of photos of the both of you on one side and a floor-to-ceiling bookcase on the other — Steve stores his vinyls on the upper shelves and you stash your books on the lower ones.
You’re finally getting settled into your new life in your new house when you realize your period is late.
By two weeks, to be exact.
You don’t even realize it until you’re grocery shopping.
Steve mans the cart while you strike through the list, as per usual. He’s trying to choose between two similarly scented body washes — accidentally squirting some on the tip of his nose in the process — when you return from the feminine hygiene section.
You didn’t need tampons, you realized while standing in front of the vibrantly colored boxes, because you had a full pack at home for a period that never came.
Steve uses his sleeve to wipe the peppermint-scented soap from his nose when you return, looking pallid and ghastly — like you’ve just seen a ghost looking for period underwear. His hand slows before falling to his side. “You okay?” he cautions.
You nod before the words catch up to you. “Yeah… Yeah, I’m— Yeah.”
“You could at least try and sound a little more convincing,” he laughs as he puts both bottles back. Neither was worth getting soap up the nose, turns out. “C’mon. Just tell me. It can’t be that bad, right?”
In his head, you’ve just seen someone from high school. You saw an old friend or a mean girl who hated you for no reason or a boy you had a fling with. They tried to chat you up while you were deciding between regular and super tampons, and the unexpected encounter’s got you all shaken up.
The image is so vivid in his head, Steve could laugh just thinking about it.
You clear your tightening throat, inching closer to him when another couple enters the aisle. You whisper like you’re telling him a secret. “My, um… My period is late. By, like… a lot.”
Steve’s blood runs cold. His eyes go wide and he forgets how to breathe. “Oh. Okay. Yeah. That’s— That’s bad, huh?”
“Yes,” you agonize, breathless. “Yes, that’s bad. That’s very, very bad.”
“Alright, c’mon. I’m standing right here,” he half-jokes.
“I just got promoted. If I have to take a year off work for maternity leave, I’ll be right back where I started.”
Steve can sense the panic radiating off of you. It’s rising with vigor like a faucet turned on high in a stopped-up kitchen sink. Once it starts overflowing, it’s harder to stop. Despite his own distant worry, he tries to quell your own.
“You might not even be pregnant, right? So why are you already worrying about maternity leave?” he questions with a gentle laugh. He takes both your arms in his hands, squeezing you in a soft reassurance. “You’re right. You just got promoted. Maybe, you know— Maybe you’re just stressed out about it. That’s all.”
“Yeah… You’re probably right.”
“Let’s take a test first, huh? Then we can start panicking.”
He presses a kiss to the tip of your scrunched nose.
You’re able to breathe again.
You pick out three different brands of pregnancy tests, shoving them quickly into your cart and hiding them beneath your groceries like sex toys.
The boxes are stacked on top of each other as they move slowly on the conveyor belt at the checkout counter. The older woman with pink lips and pinker nails smiles as she scans them through.
“It’s exciting, huh?” she gushes, smacking bubble gum between her teeth.
“Yep,” you nod, though the word comes out slightly strangled.
Steve’s charming smile wavers. “Totally.”
The paper bags of groceries are quickly abandoned on the kitchen counter when you get home. You’re far more worried about the pregnancy tests, and Steve’s more concerned about calming you down.
He sits with you on your shared bed, back propped up against the headboard, with you in between his legs. He works your palm with his thumbs, smoothing out the tension you seem to hold there. His chest you lean upon rises and falls with deep, even breaths.
You’re not sure how he can be so calm about this, but you’re almost comforted by it.
Almost.
“It wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world, you know?” Steve admits after a minute or more of pure silence. “If you were pregnant. Actually, you know, I think I’d be pretty happy.”
“I know you would be. It’s totally different for you.”
His brows furrow, though you’re not looking at him to see. “What do you mean?”
“You wouldn’t have to be the one to take off work. I’d have to drop my entire career, and I’m— I’m just getting started. It would change everything for me.”
Steve hums to himself. It’s not the pregnancy that scares you, not the birthing process or the late nights or the constant crying. It’s the thought that you wouldn’t have a life outside of it all.
“I’d be here to help you, you know?”
“I know,” you sigh softly, tiling your head on his shoulder so you can stare up at him. His chin juts closer to his neck so he can look down at you too. “But for a while, we both couldn’t work. For the first couple of years, probably. And we can’t get a babysitter because we wouldn’t have double incomes, and… I dont know if I’d trust someone to take care of our baby anyway—”
Steve tries not to smile but completely and utterly fails.
You’re already talking like it’s a for sure thing — you having a baby. His baby.
He doesn’t want to get his hopes up too high.
“Hey. It’s okay,” he almost coos to end your panicked rambling. “We’ll figure it out, I promise. Let’s just take this one step at a time, yeah?”
You take a breath you didn’t know you were holding. “Yeah…”
He waits for you in the bedroom while you check the tests in the adjoining bathroom. He offered to come with you, of course, but you told him you could do it on your own. You said they’d probably be negative anyway, that it likely was just stress delaying your period, and that you were just making a fuss over nothing.
It’s quiet for all of ten seconds.
“Fuck!” you shout, a bit louder than you intended, muffled from the bathroom.
Steve winces.
“I take it they were positive?” he questions when you storm back into the bedroom, completely and utterly frazzled.
“We’re so stupid,” you chastise, pacing ahead of the bed. “We’re so, so stupid.”
Steve finds it in him to laugh, still a bit dazed by the results. “We’re not sixteen anymore. We’re married. Married people have kids—”
“But I’m not ready yet!” you shout with wild eyes. Your hands flail at your sides as you gesticulate. “I wanted to wait, like, five years, at least. I wanted to be CCO before we even thought about having kids.”
“Things don’t go as planned sometimes, babe. We know that more than anybody.”
He was right. After saving the world, you shouldn’t be shocked by anything anymore. You were so jaded by the time spring of 1986 rolled around that Vecna hardly scared you. The thought of uprooting your life to raise a child frightened you far more than any alternate dimension and monsters without faces.
“I was just announced Vice President, Steve. No one else in company history has gotten to oversee the marketing department so quickly. You don’t know what it’s like in the firm, alright? It’s vicious. They’ll replace me the second I’m gone.”
“No, they won’t,” the boy says with so much confidence it almost makes you angry.
“You can’t know that—”
“I do know that, actually,” he argues as he slides to the edge of the mattress to meet you. His larger hands engulf your shaking ones. His honey eyes twinkle as they gaze up at you. “‘Cause they’d be idiots to let you go. ’S why I married you, yeah? There’s not another person in the whole world like you.”
“It’s just something I’ve always wanted, you know?” you sigh, less prickly than before, but still visibly terrified. “I’ve been dreaming about corporate savagery since I was twelve…”
Steve grins. “You can still have all that. I’ve seen you set monsters on fire — you can raise a kid and run a company. You’re the most badass person I’ve ever met.”
“But what about you?”
“What about me?”
“If I can’t work, we’ll be living on your income. I don’t… I don’t want you to have to work more than you already do.”
“I’ll be okay,” he promises, squeezing your trembling fingers. “You’ll take maternity leave for however long you need to, your coworkers will grovel hands and knees to get you back, and I’ll… I’ll stay home with the baby.”
Your face scrunches with worry. “Is that something you want?”
“Yeah. I mean, I’ve always wanted to be a dad, you know? I can’t… I can’t really see myself doing anything else.”
Steve always thought he was broken in that way. His dad was already building businesses by the time he had a kid. He coached Steve to do the same — to graduate, to spend thousands on a degree, to have ten assistants by the time he was twenty-five. But Steve never wanted that. Not Ever. Especially not after the tenth near-death experience.
He just wanted to have a family of his own.
He wanted to be with you and to be still. That was all.
“Besides, you always said you wanted a house husband,” he jokes with a crooked smile.
That makes you laugh. A giggle sputters from your lips before you can stop it. The sunshine feeling overpowers your lingering worry.
“I would like that,” you concur with a sheepish grin.
You can picture it so clearly — Steve with a baby, greeting you with a kiss when you get home, a spit-up towel thrown over his shoulder, hair mussed and jaw stubbled. It was something dreams were made of.
Your potential reality.
Your future.
“We’re gonna be the happiest damn people on the planet, babe.”
You lean down to kiss him. It’s hard, though, because you’re both smiling so wide.
Your laughs entwine, pressed into one another, as Steve flops back on the bed and drags you down with him. He rolls you onto your sides, one hand propping his head up and the other resting on your belly.
My kid is in there, he marvels in his head. This is where my baby’s gonna grow.
“What do you think about Apple?”
Your brows pinch together. “What?”
“For, like, a girl name?”
“…Please tell me you’re joking.”
“Apple for a girl and Wolfgang for a boy,” he jokes with a wide smile on his rosy lips. He shrugs. “And if we have twins, they can be Apple and Wolfgang. Really rolls off the tongue, don’t ya think?”
“You’re an idiot, Steve Harrington.”
With your hands cradling his jaw, you pull him down for another interrupted kiss.
“What about Moon or— ah,” he gasps with wide eyes. “Or Rainbow?”
“Steve!” you groan.
“What? Tell me Rainbow Harrington isn’t the cutest damn name you’ve ever heard.”
“That is so not a baby name.”
“Anything can be a name if you make it a name,” he argues with all of his Steve Harrington sass. “Like Queen… Or Journey.”
“Yeah, let’s just name all our kids after your favorite bands,” you quip, giggling.
“I know you’re joking, but that doesn’t sound like a bad idea.”
You shake your head at this boy and his wild head filled with wilder thoughts.
You sit in silence in your marveling, letting him ramble on — “There’s Roxy and Berlin and- wait, do you think babies can be named after numbers? Because, like, B-52 is a badass name. Sounds like something out of Star Wars, huh?”
You can’t believe you married this man. You can’t believe you get to be married to this man.
You’re stuck with Steve Harrington and his dumbassery for life.
God, you can’t wait to spend forever with him.

sweetheart always had a morbid curiosity about death. it was something you experienced only once, something so tailored to the individual. they were fascinated and often wondered what one thinks about in their final moments. as they laid on the ground, staring at the sky, a quick breeze came by, shaking the trees above and sending stray leaves falling by their head. they didn’t notice. birds chirped all around them, and while their songs were loud, echoing through the forest, they didn’t muffle out the frantic footsteps running in the other direction, away from them. the ground under sweetheart felt wet. a white hot pain filled their chest. their body was confused, frantically cloaking then uncloacking. both their literal and supernatural core were on fire. and while the world was spinning around them with so many sounds, a red stain slowly growing larger through their department uniform shirt, they didn’t notice any of it. their mind thought of one thing and one thing only, their kitchen cabinets.
when milo and sweetheart first bought their house, the kitchen cabinets were the first thing they planned to fix. there was nothing inherently wrong with them, they were standard gray cabinets with brass handles, they served their purpose. but they were the same style cabinets milo and sweetheart had in their old apartment, and while it seemed like a small thing, this wasn’t an apartment anymore. it was a house. it was their house. they could do and change whatever they wanted. so instead of tackling the overgrown backyard or faulty plumbing in the guest bathroom, they settled for something more manageable, more sentimental to them as their first home project, redoing their kitchen cabinets.
milo, always the man with a plan, already made the list of supplies they’d need for their DIY cabinet renovation. most items on the list were already checked off. they had the paint and the primer and everything they needed to sand and gloss the cabinets. all they needed to do was find the time to go to the hardware store and pick out the new handles. that was the final check mark on their list. after that, they were set to paint their kitchen cabinets the color they wanted with the handles they chose. it was one step closer to making their house truly theirs.
today was the day they were supposed to get it done. it was a beautiful, hot summer day, both milo and sweetheart were off work and planned to take full advantage of it. they had a relaxing morning, laying in bed longer than they should, playing with aggro longer than they should, bickering over whether to make breakfast or pick something up on the way into town. it was turning out to be a shockingly relaxing weekend.
as sweetheart and milo were getting ready to leave for the hardware store, both their phone’s rang. asher called milo, telling him to come over to david’s for a backyard bbq, one milo asked if david had any idea was happening. asher snickered in response which meant he did not. the department called sweetheart, telling them they needed to come in quickly and that they would be sent thirty minutes out of dahlia to be on scene for an arrest.
it didn’t surprise sweetheart to be called in today, a work life balance with the department was a fictitious thing. what did surprise them was milo’s reaction. when they fought, which was pretty rare, it could be traced back to one of two things; money or the department. he was sick of the department taking advantage of sweetheart’s good nature and passion for their job. sometimes, this frustration felt more directed at sweetheart than at the department. sweetheart knew it, they were basically a doormat for their supervisors and no more than a number to the department, but that didn't stop it from stinging when milo would point it out. much to his disdain, sweetheart changed into their uniform. they promised when this was over they’d get the cabinet handles and continue on with their weekend as planned. but milo was so fed up with everything he just huffed and grabbed his keys, muttering strings of “whatever's” and “it’s fine”. in the car on the way to the scene, sweetheart sent milo a stream of texts apologizing for ruining their weekend plans and promising to make it up to him somehow. they didn’t receive a response but saw he read the messages.
sweetheart wondered what would happen if they didn’t come in today. if they’d listened to milo and just told the department no. it was their weekend, one they wanted to spend with their partner and their friends. but because sweetheart couldn’t say no, they were instead here. alone on the ground in the woods, an hour from home, in a pool of their own blood, thinking about cabinets.
what sweetheart hated more than fighting with milo was when they left fights unresolved. when fights went unresolved, sweetheart would spend every second of every hour replaying it in their mind. they would over analyze every word, every expression, every little moment. it was just how their brain worked. going into this job was no different. their attention was on one thing and one thing only, even though they were briefed on the drive over about the case details and what to expect, its fair to say their mind was just somewhere else.
and while they were replaying milo walking out of the house as they were walking further into the woods to the location the department told them to go, all they could think of was where he was going. what he was feeling. they didn’t hear the footsteps creeping behind them. they didn’t hear the rustle of clothes. they didn’t hear the gun cock. they missed all the signs and didn’t cloak. and in the blink of an eye, they were on the ground. it all happened so fast.
too stunned to speak, sweetheart felt their body go into overdrive. their stealth nature tried to hide them but it was too late. a puddle was growing underneath them. they didn’t scream. they were going into shock, and all they could do was think of the stupid cabinets. all they could do was think of milo, angry at them for taking this call. to think of milo, wherever he was. to think of milo, going back to an empty house. and how he’d probably be going back to an empty house everyday after today.
as the trees above began to grow blurry and the sound of the birds grew more distant, sweetheart didn’t know what hurt worse, the bullet hole in their chest or the fact that, if this is really it for them, they’d never see what would become of those cabinets. that they’d stay dull and gray, never to be changed, never to be truly theirs.

i rlly like ur composition, i wanna know about your process :D
thank uuu !! yeah so like. composing a scene for me generally begins with a vague idea that i want to get down as quickly as possible- and for me that usually starts with finding a setting. I knew that i wanted to draw a) a group of roomates gossiping in a crowded kitchen and i wanted there to be b) one figure in the extreme foreground and c) lots of plants. i do use some tools to figure out perspective, mainly the csp perspective ruler. Usually i start by finding a picture i like similar to the vibe im going for- but instead of referencing anything else- im purely interested in perspective. sorry to anyone who is shocked i dont generate all of my perspective purely by myself- i can draw in perspective fairly well but i struggle to make straight lines and this is easier to make grids with than the line tool lol ^_^ i try to use it kinda more like spellcheck on typos than like something to fully rely on. this is the video i learned this trick from:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i saw the left photo and realllly loved how the cabinets alligned with the wall- so i used my ruler tool to draw out my inital plotted points from the image- basically the linear movements i was most interested in and then i turned off the image layer and worked with those lines and the ruler tool to move on. eventually i had this:
Tumblr media
which was enough for me to put my characters in for the inital round. if you notice- i made a looot of further adjustments as i go on. this sketch is not a final layout, its so my characters have somewhere to be! i cannot draw someone standing on a floor if theres no floor, nor leaning on a table that doesnt exist. i can’t draw my characters without a background, but i also cant finish my background without accounting for how my characters can comfortably exist in it!!
Tumblr media
this was the like.. very basic start. i knew the positions of two characters- but i needed to change a lot not only to fit them better but to allow for the other two figures i had planned.
Tumblr media
okay.. a little better. i widened the kitchen, closed the fridge door.. added a chair and fit in all the figures.. but this is waaay too dramatic. only two figures are actually interacting- and they are at wildly different energy levels!
Tumblr media
this is where things started to make a little more sense characterwiss, so i was ready to refine backgrounds and figures and unite the two.
Tumblr media
inital base sketch. much better layout.
Tumblr media
okay- this is where im getting my footing but things seem.. really really off. You can see me working on my framing here- theres some good linear movement from left to right here- but not vertically. It’s hard to notice the figure in the far back, so i need to redirect the viewers eye to move upwards as well!
Tumblr media
this is where i decided to zoom out, add an interesting vertical element to the left of the image and make it clearer whats happening in the foreground. i had to account for some stuff by adjusting the cropping, but i paid attention to that as well.
Tumblr media
annnd- thats what a clean sketch looks for me! i have all the elements of my scene accounted for, and things are clean enough to read.
the next step for me would be transfer! essentially- I print the image of my sketch out, resizing and taping pages together so my sketch matches the size of the paper i want to paint on, and then i use a lightboard to transfer my sketch with pencil onto my paper. Then i refine the sketch a few times on paper before stretching my watercolor paper (essentially just prepping for painting) and inking with a brush and colored ink before going in with watercolor, gouache and ink, then usually finishing with marker, colored pencil, pastel and ink. it’s a lengthy process but a lot of fun lol. but sketches for me can be like.. 15 layers of different roughs until im happy with just the sketch. there were more images but im on mobile and theres a 10 image limit 😭😭 im a bit masochistic but i believe that if i dont have a good sketch i dont have a good painting!!

My Baby Here on Earth, Showed Me What My Heart Was Worth. So, when it Comes to be My Turn Could You Shine it Down Here for Her? ✧.*
Girl Dad!Boothill
Warnings; none!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
A\N; the number of times i see that boothill was canonically a girl dad w/ an adoptive daughter breaks my heart. Cause he didn't even get to watch her grow up it makes me cry so hard every damn time. (Boothill watched his daughter’s life be taken in front of his own eyes when his planet was nuked. She had just started to walk he didn't even have the time to make a gravestone cause of the IPC demolishing the entire planet 🙁) BUT ANYWAYS ENJOY THIS UNTIL I POST REQUESTS. (D/N is daughters name)
Tumblr media
Headcanonsˏˋ°•*⁀➷
• He adores his daughter; he's doing anything and everything she wants even if it means he's dressed in a princess outfit.
• Boothill always, I mean always reads his daughter a bedtime story before she falls asleep and sometimes, he falls asleep with her.
• Despite Boothill being a 'robot' or having mechanical body parts, his daughter still loves to take marker and stickers to the metal and draw doodles / put stickers on him.
• Daddy daughter dates / dances are Boothill's entire thing. He's not going to miss the chance to go to his kid's school for a fun dance. He also takes his daughter on multiple fun 'dates' and outings
• 'Competitive' game nights with each other. Playing player against player games with his daughter and purposely loosing so she can be happy.
• Boothill isn't a strict father, but he does have his rules such; as no sugar before dinner (obviously), schoolwork before screen time, no cursing until a specific age etc.
• When his daughter was getting her ears pierced, she got scared so he got his pierced with her, so she wasn't as scared and now they wear matching earrings.
Scenarioೃ⁀➷
There Boothill sat, in the couch that rest dead center of the living room. His little girl sitting on one of his legs, his right arm draped over her as she drew on his metal arm with paint pens. Small doodles with fun colors, the paint pens were scattered on a little tray that always lays in the man's lap along with multiple sticker sheets. There was a soft smile on his face as he watched her color in her doodles. Her tongue stuck out from between her teeth as she focused on staying inside the lines.
He chuckles softly, adjusting his position for something more comfortable for the two of them. "You're not hungry yet, munchkin?" He asked, his southern accent overlapping his words as he glances down at his rainbow-colored arm and then at her. "Not really papa. But goldfish do sound good." She murmurs, not taking her eyes off her drawing.
He smiles, his hand rubbing her back gently. "Alright then, let's go get you some goldfish, baby doll." He said, gently removing the tray of stickers and markers before standing up, her in his arms. He struts over to the kitchen, placing D/N onto the counter as he gets out a bowl to pour the goldfish in. He opens the cabinet where there was the Holy Trinity of all sorts of Goldfish.
There was the rainbow colored ones that were supposed to be all the same taste, but his daughter insisted they tasted different. Pizza goldfish, cupcake goldfish, double chedder goldfish, s'mores goldfish and more. It was like the entire cabinet was full of them but it really wasn't, he just knew that his little girl liked them so much. "Which type do you want?" He asked her, he watched as she pondered her answer.
"The rainbow goldfish!" She said with a bright smile, watching as her dad grabs a the bag of goldfish and poured her some. "Eat up, munchkin." He said, placing the bowl beside her on the counter. She smiled as she starts eating them, she glances at her papa with a bright smile, her mouth slightly full of goldfish. "I love you, papa!" She said all giggly. "I love you too, sweetheart." Boothill says with a soft smile, gently kissing her forehead.

hey i really liked that feral cass post, i keep rereading it. was wondering if you would ever consider doing a pt 2?
Hell yeah🙌 have a feeling someone else might like a p2 to this!
Part 1: here
Let’s get into it! :)
Masterlists
You’re carried; far, far away, it seems. You couldn’t find your way back to the village even if you wanted to
This creature- this woman..her grip is tight on you, but not bruising. She snarls at all around you
Leaves, trees, little animals scurrying across your path
Then, at last, far in the distance you can see the tip of a tower. As you get closer, you see more and more. Eventually, a castle is revealed
Only when she carries you towards the rusty gates and heavy doors do you notice what castle this is, just where you have found yourself
Castle Dimitrescu
They say, this is where all dies
Men are tortured and killed instantly, made into scarecrows or thrown aside in the dirt out front
Women are imprisoned, made to work, made to serve, only to be taken, tortured and killed or turned into wine at the smallest mistake. Or so they say
You wonder, will this be your fate? Is the woman carrying you to your death?
It doesn’t seem so, though. The woman doesn’t come across as though she has ill intent for you
She is feral, this much you can say. More of an animal than a human even, perhaps
But, it brings you a certain amount of comfort, too. You know at least, she will not attempt to deceive and trick you
You watch silently as heavy doors are opened and the warmth of the castle greets you
Your stomach growls when you pass what must be the kitchens, the sound alerting the feral brunette
She stares down at you, as though unsure what that noise was. Just as you think she will investigate, though, she keeps walking
You notice, all attempt to avoid her. No one glances your way, all make space for her. Clearly, this woman is just as dangerous as she comes across
You’re carried a little longer, through long hallways with red rugs and white-golden walls adorned with paintings and lights, past wide vases and small cabinets
Then, she steps into a room you know must be hers
Weapons are scattered across the floor and walls and while a bed is present in the room, there is a large pile of blankets, pillows, clothing, even some items on the floor. You immediately recognize this as her nest
And, true to this, she sets you down on it gently. You feel the soft cushions below you, the warm and thick blankets
Around you, you see dresses. Some too big to possibly fit her, some a little too slim for her, but matching hers in color and style precisely. You spot lipstick, daggers, necklaces and rings, books, pictures, pencils, and more among the cushions
Then, a picture catches your eye
You look up to find the woman staring at you, and slowly, slow enough for her to react should she want to, you take the painting from underneath a pillow and pick it up
She only continues to stare for a few moments, then busies herself by biting into some of the pillows and readjusting their position
You allow yourself to breathe, albeit shakily, then take in the picture in your hand
Four women, one tall, enormously so, in a white dress and a black hat. You know this woman. Alcina Dimitrescu, one of the lords of the village. You remember seeing her picture in the church
Then, three shorter women, all dressed in the same black dress. Among them, your feral saviour
The other two look nearly the same upon a quick look, but you soon notice differences, such as their hair colour, blonde and auburn, and the shape of their face
You spot writing at the bottom of the painting; Countess Dimitrescu and her three daughters. Bela, Cassandra, Daniela
“Cassandra..”, you say out loud, trying the name on your tongue
You nearly jump when her head snaps up, her eyes scanning you as though she is attempting to figure out what you want
Again, your stomach growls. You can’t remember the last time you ate
This time, the woman moves
You jump when she leans forwards, the tip of her nose nearly touching your stomach
Then, she growls. Did she think your growling stomach was an insult?
You can’t be sure, but feel too petrified to move even as your stomach keeps growling and the woman- Cassandra- keeps growling back at it
You feel your blood run cold, but eventually speak. You fear should you not, she might attack. You don’t want to imagine what risks that might bring to your unborn child
“I’m hungry”, you whisper
“I’m hungry”- Cassandra knows those words. She has heard them before. Hungry. Cold. Good. Bad. You. I. Yes. No
She knows them, but what are the meanings again? She shakes her head, as though trying to clear it
Then, just when she thinks your stomach will demand a fight again, she catches the sweet scent again
She still can’t understand what is so different, so special, about you
As though to make up for her growls though, she gently, or as gentle as she can, nuzzles her cheek against the round stomach. What a curious little creature you are indeed
She freezes when she feels your hand near her. You’re cupping the stomach. Why? She doesn’t understand. Though, she wants to learn
You watch as her hand reaches out, then sets it on your stomach too. She doesn’t seem to understand, merely copies your movements
The moment seems to go on for far longer than it does. It’s not unpleasant, though
Then, in the next few seconds already, it stops. She jumps up, then, to your surprise, she darts out the room, halfway turning into flies in her go
Cassandra races past maids and so, her mind set on a single goal: to retrieve food for you. She remembers now what hunger means. It means, she must fetch you some prey
Too feral to sit back and think, she races past the kitchens and back outside
It’s an easy task to find you something small for the time being, until she can bring you a nice and thick bear
She tracks sounds easily, her head snapping from one direction in the other. She’s drooling slightly
Then, golden eyes find her prey. A deer, in perfect shape it seems, feasting near the castle grounds
Of course, she can take it down in no time
While lacking her older sister’s coordination and younger sister’s speed, Cassandra still manages to catch up in no time at all, her arm wrestling around the creature’s neck and bringing it to the floor
From this on, it’s almost too easy
But she doesn’t kill for her pride, nor for showing off. She feels no such things, only the urge, the duty, the obligation to catch, fetch, and bring you the nutrients you require
And yet, you nearly scream when the door opens again and a deer is tossed to you. Dead, certainly. And fresh. You nearly vomit at the sight and smell
Cassandra doesn’t seem to understand
She nudges its side with her hand like a cat might do with its paw, her golden eyes searching yours
Her lips part, as though she is about to speak, but no words get past them. Instead, only low growls and grunts
You swallow hard to keep from vomiting as you feel the deer’s blood on your hands
Then, you press your eyes shut when she leans down and digs her sharp teeth into its tender flesh
You hear her feast, watch the blood smear her face when you open your eyes back up
But, she doesn’t swallow the bites in her mouth. Instead, part of the animal’s flesh hangs from her mouth, held tight between her teeth
You freeze as she crawls closer. More and more you feel like prey. Will you end up the same as the deer?
No, certainly not
Instead, you watch with wonder and slight disgust as she drops her bite, the tender flesh falling directly into your hands
She nuzzles your stomach again, and again
“I-I can’t eat that”, you whisper
She looks up, her head cocked. You watch as she picks the piece up again and bites a part off. She eats, swallows, then looks back up at you
You understand what she means
“I mean- I- humans, we don’t eat that”, you clarify
She looks puzzled yet again, and you can’t entirely blame her. You’re sure it must be strange to look after a human when she is surrounded by her family, who you’d bet shares her special diet
You close your eyes, your mouth watering at the memory of the smell from earlier. You smelled cake, you smelled grilled vegetables, you smelled cooked meat, you caught the faint scent of toasted bread, even
“The kitchen has human food”, you add when no response comes from her
You yelp when you’re picked up again. Truthfully, you don’t mind in the slightest, as your ankle still aches painfully with every step you attempt to make
Cassandra, as feral as she is in this state, takes good care of you, you notice
Better care of you than the villagers have done
You smile to yourself as you feel her cool skin against you
Perhaps, you can take care of her in return

This 1928 house is known as the Doll's House. The Swiss Chalet style home was designed by William Van Egmond as a wedding present for his daughter, and became a designated heritage property in 1983. Located in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, it has 2bds, 1ba, $299,900.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It is soooo cute! You enter and there is a large closet to the right.
Tumblr media
The owners have painted it pure white, which masks the architectural features, but you can paint them contrasting colors to match your decor. Look at how interesting the fireplace is- I don't know if it was ever real- there's a wire in the wall, probably for electric logs.
Tumblr media
The wood around the interesting triangular window is obliterated by the white paint.
Tumblr media
Details of the fireplace.
Tumblr media
I wonder what the original color of the wood was. Forget about staining it, now that the paint is on.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Look at that- a little built-in bench. Do you think that the details would look better in pastel or a dark brown or black? There's an old phone on the wall, so the bench was for sitting and talking on the phone.
Tumblr media
Isn't the little dining area cute? Two built-in cabinets.
Tumblr media
The kitchen is directly off the dining room, and look at the vintage door chimes.
Tumblr media
In the vintage kitchen they painted the frame around the fridge black. I don't think I like black. Notice the small triangular window.
Tumblr media
There's a little cupboard in the corner and maybe even a place for a small bistro table or island on wheels.
Tumblr media
Oh, look at that, I didn't realize that the closet door is glass.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What a large primary bedroom. Very nice. More beautiful features.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Cute vintage bath. The tub looks original. Why do they like that weird beige-y color?
Tumblr media
Little pedestal sink with an original medicine cabinet over it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The 2nd bedroom has a surprisingly big closet.
Tumblr media
Look at the skinny window on the stairs.
Tumblr media
There's a closet and some shelving down in the basement.
Tumblr media
Wow, look at the antique washing machine. It has a wringer. There's a nice workbench along the wall, too.
Tumblr media
Outside, there's a cute fence and gate, plus a side door and the garage.
Tumblr media
Nice evergreen tree in the yard.
Tumblr media
Cute yard with another nice tree. 3,876 sq ft lot.
Tumblr media
Gate for the 2 car garage. What happened to the road? Are they paving it, b/c they took away the driveway apron.
Tumblr media
So adorable.

➜ Simon Riley x gn!reader
➜ 500 words, fluff
➜ I’m js trying to get back into writing rn, so here’s a small drabble
Tumblr media
Simon was a minimalist. Something you’d assume he’d picked up from years of serving in the military, but he’d say he’d always been like this.
His apartment was bare, stripped of anything personal of his. No family portraits hung on the wall; no cute pillows adorned the couch, no decorative fake plants or collection of expensive airplane models – one of the only things he’d ever admitted to taking enjoyment in. He had one couch, a coffee table, a cabinet that held the tv on it and a plain black blanket that was folded and tucked in the small storage space under the table.
Inside the bedroom his bed was made perfectly, and an empty desk sat in front of it against the wall. Two books were stacked on his nightstand neatly, waiting to be finished and put back on the shelf that held his personal library.
And in the kitchen, it was the same. You wouldn’t find anything more telling about him in the cabinets than in the rest of the house. The plain black mugs and generic white plates. The sink was kept empty, a single candle sat closed on the island, unused. It might as well have been the only type of decoration he had.
His house was always pristine and clean. Everything tucked away in its spot, never taken out unless it was being used. There was hardly any evidence anyone lived there.
Until he met you.
You breathed life into his space the minute you set foot in it. The first time you’d seen the place you’d been appalled, telling him it looked like a ghost lived there. His lips had tugged up at the comment in a half smile, watching as you laughed at your own joke.
Slowly you added to his space, decorating it with small – and large – trinkets, artworks and pillows. One Christmas you gifted him a small three piece of model airplanes after he told you about the old hobby of his. The three planes now sat proudly on his dresser.
Fake plants littered the shelves, and colorful paintings hung on the walls. The plain black blanket was replaced with multiple fluffy ones. Some were woven with floral patterns and others held colorful splatters. Photos of the two of you greeted him at the door when he returned home now. In the kitchen you’d replaced the plain mugs with some that held corny slogans or were souvenirs you’d brought back from your international travels.
You’d done your best to make this space feel like both of yours, which did mean some of his plain tastes still littered the apartment, but you’d say it meshed nicely with your pops of color. You’d even found Simon to be more relaxed and wanting to stay home now that the place no longer felt like a hotel or air bnb rental.
He never verbally voiced his appreciation, but you could tell that it made him feel at home.
You made him feel at home.

So after the long-awaited addition of Infants and Ceilings to the game, I realized I should probably update my one furnished build (so far) for these features. Unfortunately I got carried away again and just ended up revamping the whole build from the exterior, to each individual room + some new ones! This version has also been more extensively play-tested over time with all age groups and pets, with some extra fire hazard and accessibility issues addressed.
It still has all the original Lot Features:
Victorian era historical build, fully playtested
Off-the-grid compatible
9 Bed / 6 bath
Library Greenhouse
Spellcaster's room
Outdoor smokehouse
Pleasure + kitchen gardens
Portal to the magic realm
Hidden cat room, litterroom, + catway system for Familiars
Staff/Servant's lounge w/ private stairs
Bedrooms for Butler, Nanny/Governess, and Maids
Lot size 30x40, fully landscaped
Cat Hangout, Peace and Quiet
Spooky lot challenge
As well as an extensive Changelog and list of New Features:
Revamped exteriors + interiors, roofs, and gardens
Ceilings for all rooms
Added even more windows somehow
Skylights for 3rd floor and wraparound verandah
Rooftop meditation-garden-yoga-summoning-circle
Portals! Small library located off the spell-room has been converted into the Portal Room with 3 portals leading throughout the house: one to the tower on the roof, one to the greenhouse in the back, and one to the third floor hall.
Moved Magic Realm Portal to rooftop garden
Put more cat doors everywhere, they enjoy using the catdoors and portals for zoomies
Sprinklers, alarms, and fire resistant flooring have been added around fireplaces.
Fireplace in the tower was removed for it's propensity to set the roof on fire and become unreachable and inextinguishable
Tower room has been converted into a Collections display room instead, a la sims 3
Portal in the tower/Collections room also makes potential burglaries more threatening, but if you’re an occult you’re expected to employ practical DADA techniques to avert this
Updated Nursery and Playroom for Infants
Redid terrain paint. Twice. Why tf does it just vanish randomly sometimes
NEW Magic Bean Hunt! Stump is located where the magic realm portal used to be and beans are strategically hidden around the lot. I'd love to see how long it takes for you to catch them all!
Washbasins for rooms without bathrooms now look like washbasins and are actually useable, both on and off grid
Added privacy hedges and lattices to backyard and fenced in chicken run
Potions Crafting Table added to Spell-room
Crafters Supply Cabinet added to Kitchen
Pocketed pocket doors
Secret Cat Room color scheme updated and cat-approved artwork added
Another Cat room added to 3rd floor
Magic Well has been shrunk
Rooftop area outside 3rd floor Study converted into rooftop Pavilion with chessboard and painting easel
Jack-and-Jill bathroom added for two of the third floor bedrooms
Toilet room removed and bath added for staff washrooms, for an equal 2-toilet/2-bath arrangement, which means the build now has a total of 7 full baths, and 8 toilets.
More crafting tables (fizz machine and candle maker) added to Staff Lounge
Yoga/Meditation Balcony for staff above greenhouse
Small telescope added to rooftop outside tower room’s new 2nd door
Garden lights around yard configured for power + off grid lighting
‘Bike racks’ added by front gate
New Library shelves seem to allow sims to retrieve books but not put them back. However this is actually a feature, not a bug, since now you can put the books back yourself on on the right shelves and keep things organized 🙃
Should now be consistently able to feed and be eaten by the Cowplant
Homey trait replaced by Gnome lot trait since there is a proliferation of gnomes
