Cappies!
Cappies but they are an actual species with evolutionary reasons for their designs!
Children are darker and have thicker patterns and bigger eye circles and have softer fur. As they grow their fur becomes more coarse and lighten in color, patterns will thin and fade.
Some cappies have spots, some stripes, rare to have both and rare to have neither. Cappies also have lighter faces than their bases fur coat color. As Cappies age their fur will droop more and more.
Cappies can have splotches of fur that resembles hair like a humans and can be darker or lighter in color.
Common colors, warm yellows and muted oranges, grey, browns and off-white yellow. Rarer coloration would be reds and muted greens.
Mushroom hats are worn by some cappies for cultural reasons.
