Now that I'm finally taking a long break from painting minis I can start posting photos of my older complete projects (And get to playing some video games).
Starting off with my Empire of Dust/Tomb Kings for Kings of War, this army is almost entirely comprised of 3D printed minis minus the dinosaur which was a toy a friend of my painted up for me, the models originated from OnePageRules Mummified Undead range and the colour scheme was inspired by Geeks Gaming Scenics which he used for the exact same models in a Youtube video, my take on the colour scheme is very basic, comprised of only base coats given a wash of medium mixed Army Painter tones and now out of production Citadel Gloss Shades.

Some Games Workshop skaven clanrats from the Skaventide box, based up on 20mm squares for rank and flank gaming. Not my best work, but not sure where to punch them up, so done enough.
Also have some closeups of the banner:

Hobby Accountability Blog???
So, I've been wanting to get back into the miniatures hobby and finally plow throw my Shame Pile. But, as with any large project... It's anxiety-inducing. So, breaking things down into smaller projects and talking about them here might help make it less intimidating.
I've been a massive fan of the old GW Chaos Dwarfs for literal decades now, but the disappointing Forge World line and the comparatively expensive price point of vintage minis makes it difficult to be a CD fan on a budget - enter the Mantic Games' Abyssal Dwarves for their Kings of War range. KoW already nods heavily to classic rank-and-file Oldhammer and their Abyssal Dwarf range has the character of the classic GW boys while still adhering to modern grimdark fantasy aesthetics. Regardless of which ruleset I use with them, I'm excited to see them on the table.
I think the general's pewter though... Oh no...

Finally finished my 10 dwarven spears! I’m delighted with how well these lads came out.
Tumblr media
These lads are from the Oathmark Dwarven Infantry box, that can also build archers and hand weapon & shield. It’s honestly a great kit, I’m going to be getting more for sure.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I’m really proud of these faces, these are some of the best face work I’ve done yet.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Next I’m going to get the Oathmark Dwarf Heavy Infantry and Dwarf Light Infantry boxes and once I’ve got all those built it should be my dwarf army good to go, for OPR Fantasy, for Dragon Rampant, possibly for Kings of War at some point, as well as a potential Dwarven warband for Frostgrave. Lots that I can do with these lads.

A set of Reaper minis dwarf bear riders (Ursary?) I painted up, finally.
Now I've got a full regiment if I decide to do kings of war or a similar fantasy rank and flank.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Admittedly, would need to have the rest of the dwarf army, but one thing at a time...

ARCH-DAEMON: Floating Fortresses of terror and torture, Arch-Daemons lead the fleets of the Abyss as flagships and capital ships. Thousands of lost souls row the oars of these crude vessels, pushing forward a bulk made of unnatural wood and stone. Abyssal Dwarven cannons belch sooty cannonballs into enemy ships. Those that survive a broadside will be boarded, their crew captured for the twisted entertainment of the Abyssals aboard. Even with its unrefined construction, an Arch-Daemon is a hardy vessel, taking brutal punishment before dealing greater in return. Among its armaments is a thunderous mortar, just like that of the Volcan's. Unlike its smaller cousin, however, the Arch-Daemon is stable enough though size to use such a cannon effectively. Each Arch-Daemon is so colossal, it is considered a mobile base for coastal raids by the leadership of the Abyss. Indeed, among its structures is a gladiatorial arena. Either unfortunate victims are tossed in for demons' amusement, or the elite soldiers of the Abyss train within, honing their skills for the next gory combat. The saving graces, in the Forces of Good's eyes, is that the Arch-Daemon is neither quick, nor subtle. Indeed, sailors maintain that you can hear cries of the damned on the wind flowing from an Arch-Daemon.
UNDERWORLD: There is no ship afloat that is more feared than the Underworld. This damned vessel has only a few short months to her name, but the power contained within her is so horrific that tales of her slaughters quickly spread from port to port. What distinguishes her from a common Arch-Daemon is not enhanced firepower, nor speed nor durability. Instead, it is her gaping maw, a glowing portal that leads to the Abyss itself. Swarms of winged fiends can easily flutter through, clouding skies with their wings. Hordes of lesser Abyssals can pour through, leaping into combat directly. But the prospective of endless demons isn't what chills sailors the most. It is that whomever is slain by the Underworld's near-endless crew have their souls stolen, sucked away to join the Lost Souls rowing the abomination. With this combination of endless warriors and endless workforce, the Underworld scarcely needs to take to port, moving from one target to the next, preying, smiting, obliterating. A coalition of goodly-aligned admirals have come together to track the monster and slay it, an endeavor unparalleled.

Of the 19 hijackers who carried out the Sept 11 attacks:
15 were from Saudi Arabia (a powerful/oil-rich country the U.S. works hard to maintain diplomatic relations with)
2 were from the United Arab Emirates (also a powerful/oil-rich country the U.S. works hard to maintain diplomatic relations with)
1 was from Egypt, 1 from Lebanon.
None of the hijackers were from Iraq.
None of the Sept 11 hijackers were Iraqi.
None of the 9/11 hijackers were from Iraq.
