Ok so I have only watched TADC once and the first thing I'm drawn to right off the bat is Kinger.

He's quite the guy and I think moving forward he will be one of the more interesting character to delve into. One of the things about his personality that immediately comes off is that, in spite of his mind being a bit all over the place, he is actually fairly knowledgeable on the world they find themselves in.

Jax does express confusion when Kinger begins explaining to him how the food in the DC works, which could indicate that either he didn't take enough interest in Kinger to hear what he was actually saying most of the time (this could be the case as he seems to be super dismissive of just about everyone), or that Kinger doesn't express his knowledge often. I think it could be a mix of both.

Honestly, his mental state doesn't seem to be an act. I believe that, due to being in the Circus for so long, his mentality is verging more towards that of the npc characters like Caine -- wacky and nonsensical at times -- while also still retaining the capability of deeper though like the playable (player?) characters. I wonder if he kept the knowledge he has acquired overtime mostly to himself and just recently started to express it randomly because of the previously mentioned change in his mind.

When talking about Kaufmo, he is the first of all of them to realize that something was "wrong" with him and reaches the conclusion that he was going insane (which was later revealed to be correct as Kaufmo turned into an Abstraction). During that instance, he expresses his concern for Pomni's own mental state.

He's been here a long time. He's probably seen many others become Abstractions, just like Kaufmo: he knows what the warning signs are. The fact he also outright refuses to go check on Kaufmo indicates to him having an ounce on what might have happened to him, as well as the possibility of him knowing what the effects of being caught by an Abstraction are. Ragatha said she was in a lot of pain while glitching; it might be possible for Kinger have touched by an Abstraction in the past, or he watched it happen to someone else.

((Either way, Ragatha and Jax don't really seem to consider Kaufmo's Abstractification (?) at all when going up to check on him, meaning he might have been the first actual companion they had who turned into one.))

Another thing that shines through in his personality is that, in his own way, Kinger is a caring guy. When doing rock-paper-scissors with Gangle to decide who would have to save Zooble, he celebrates his victory before sprinting into action.

Gangle is visibly confused by this, as she was expecting to be the one who would have to help, but Kinger interpreted it differently and was more than happy to get Zooble help.

He's such a strange guy. I love him.

Looking back at things, jax might be a character that might be the inverse character of the series, it's just something that come up to me because of a tweet shitposting saying they be mad if they don't see Jax cry. Another thing for this quick random theory is for was from Dexter, (yes that old show that had over 5 season and is having two continuation after it's ending) of that people with mental illness who aren't given proper help would become they way they are if they aren't given the chance.

With the way things are going with each tadc episode, I don't think that's possible and hear me out on this.

I feel like each episode’s issue applies to Jax, except he doesn’t get the benefit of the moral like pomni or the focus character does.

Jax doesn’t go to kaufmo’s funeral despite the moral of that episode being that there’s people that will care even after you’re gone. Kinger tells pomni to hold on to the people close to you, but the cast will tie up Jax and shove him to the side on the adventure.

And the moral for gangle being to not hold a fake mask for too long still applies to Jax as he holds his own version of his mask throughout the whole episode until the end.

Seeing how part of Jax Character lies within toxic masculinity and his treatment of others and how that effected his mental state, I don't think he'll be crying due to how mental state work, if one tells them selves that they are a monster for over years and that been supported by that narrative by other people.

It's going to change people, they are going to have a different psychological then what people consider to be normal.

In order for Jax to continue to changing for the better, not only does he have to revalute his morals and come to that said conclusion but depending on that person, they continue trying to fight off who they once were by internal/external means cause people are a bundle of patterns.

Seeing how there's not consequences in the digital world and how most moral thing a person can do is by external means, Jax is being rewarded by being an ass, the gang are willing to lift each other up but when it comes to Jax, it's out of the window.

I'm not saying that the rest of the episode that Jax would still continue to be an ass, gooseworx statement of him getting worse isn't to say that he's being a plain Disney villian. In the setting of the circus. It's simply not that black and white. Instead what we are seeing as Jax mental well being is being torn down again and again and with no positive help and with a group of people who are in a similar situation as him that also happens to hates him. He's only going to get worse.

This is where I feel like pomni would come in, or I maybe wrong.

This theory came from how Dexter father assumed the worse out of him and instead of treating Dexter PTSD the right way that he'll become a working member of society, refusing to see that light. He shaped Dexter to be a killer.

Any thought? I know it feels crack but can you see where I'm getting at?

TADC - Episode 4: Short thoughts about Jax, Zooble and Ragatha + some goofy shit (SPOILERS AHEAD, HOES!)

Apart from giving us a well-needed glimpse into Gangle's mind and past, we got to see how our scrimblos deal with the silent insanity of normality in a fast-food chain environment. Not as the clients, but the workers, of course. Firstly, we get to see a defeated Jax, conforming to the situation around him because it's all he can do, especially after being stuck glued to a screen. He was, for once, truly stripped of all control, and thus unable to get a kick out of the whole thing. Though perhaps not in a more humiliating way than when Ragatha tied him up. Not a whole deconstruction of his psyche just yet, but definitely a look into another side of his. It felt nearly personal, if you ask me... Was he also a fast food employee before, much like Zooble? Kinda fits tbh! And Zooble getting to be themselves again. God I've been yearning for more of her and we've REALLY been getting it lately. Zooble is shaping up to be the straightman (har har) of the gang, and possibly the most stable despite his internal, dysphoric struggles, and I'm VERY interested in seeing more of that dynamic, seeing as how so far, she's the most emotionally mature out of everyone, even more so than Pomni or Kinger who I'd argue are quite mature on their own. One dynamic I'd love to see is the one between Zooble and Ragatha, for reasons I'll get to right now. Ragatha seemed like she was about to be the joke character here at first and well, yeah, she delivers the laughs, but she also lets slip what she truly thinks when put into a vulnerable state of mind. That she wants to be loved, desperately so, but that she may not truly love everyone as we imagined. And before most get their pitchforks aimed at her, I just wanna say, most of us are like this. We can't and won't love everyone, but I reckon a lot of people are in fact, just trying to get by without much trouble and maybe even helping others along the way regardless of any petty issues we may have. That's Ragatha. But this isn't just a woman going through life, it's a woman trapped in a seemingly endless digital purgatory with a limited amount of people who may or may not dip into a state of unrecognizability due to an insane mental state. Is it really the best idea to keep things bottled up? I gotta see Zooble and Rags having a real ass, adult heart-to-heart.

Oh and the ships have truly sailed and sunk with this one huh. Gummigoo got re-used as an NPC and swiftly killed all hope of Pomni ever getting to truly be his friend ever. Or lover, too, if you like this couple. Some would say she was fawning over him but to me it seems more like she was just in pure awe that the being she came to care for so much and saw DIE, is suddenly back, very much so alive. All that for nothing, though, because he can't remember a thing. And Ragatha...? Ragatha's jealous. RAGATHA IS JEALOUS. Reminder that what happened to her was basically getting drunk. When drunk, most people lose their filter and speak a lot more loosely about what they think, so, perhaps Pomni's wishes of being by Gummigoo's side instead of Ragatha's when the doll looks out for her so much is more bothersome than we think. I get it though. I get you girl.

Reader taking care of Jax, Kinger, and Ragatha when they're sick

well.. as sick as you can get when you're in the digital world LMAO i think im going to write this and try something for a new fandom to introduce to this blog then write another thing then eeerrrrm i think i might take a break and draw since ive got a few ideas i wanna scribble down before i forget and/or lose this tiny spark of motivation eheheheh

RAGATHA:

originally i was going to say that ragatha is stubborn when shes sick... as in she wants to do what she needs to do for the day, if there is any obligation for her... but also at the same time, i dont think ragatha would be like that out of fear of getting someone else sick... maybe theres some denial in the beginning before succumbing when her symptoms get worse ? very easy to care for when sick, though i dont think she would let you hang around her for long to try to keep you from getting sick too.. i think as soon as shes feeling better/beating her symptoms she tries to check on you to make sure you didnt catch whatever she had.. and if you did... well i guess thats another post for another day. not very needy or whiny when sick, at most she might ask for something to keep her occupied if shes not sleeping the entire time

JAX:

the opposite of ragatha, hes going to be annoying about it but its hard to tell if hes genuinely just that whiney or if hes playing it up to keep your attention.. i can see both honestly. will never say it (because it might make you stop!) but he loves watching you fret over him (well he wont say it because he doesnt want to admit that he likes the extra care and attention). though i do still think that he would be stubborn, trying to keep up with his antics even though he should be in bed. so youre going to be working hard to keep him in his room... actually getting him to rest is an entirely different beast. truly, the biggest test in your relationship with this bunny is when hes sick

KINGER:

i think hes the type to over react when hes (or when anyone for that matter) is sick... though i think the bulk of that is due to his mental state currently in the circus... if this were before that or when he was more new to it, he'd be pretty normal about it... but then again how often do you get sick in the circus? i mean yeah sure you're showing your normal flu symptoms but theres also glitching thats far too similar to abstracting... can you really blame him for being scared? definitely worries about the smallest things and symptoms when hes sick, so youre probably going to have to sit by him and keep him calm. urge him to rest, exchange stories, ect ect. do i think he would become stressed enough to actually abstract right there? probably not, but its still distressing nonetheless... actually i think he might calm down and listen to you if he sees YOU becoming distressed.. doesnt want to make you feel bad, he pulls through for you

Do you have any theories about Kinger?

- He perhaps put himself in the circus on purpose, unlike the others and knew what he was getting into or knew the risks of what could happen

- He possibly worked for the company, C&A

- He quite literally is insane, and has lost his marbles but the real reason and cause being abstraction is not based on your mental state because if it was his is just literally so atrocious

- Kingers room has something very significant to his backstory or something to do with lore. The TADC pins showcase all the characters rooms, all except Kinger, and Jax. Now I can go into the absence of Jax’s room because I believe in the NPC theory- but that’s something else. Kingers background his his pillow fort- how come everyone else gets their room? At least the Jax pin shows his door.

- If a way to leave is revealed, then I think Kinger will not leave. If TADC really is based on IHNMAIMS, then there’s surely got to be more to it that just “people trapped with an ai ruler.” One person will be left at the end, someone who knows more than the other do- and has no mouth. Sounds like Kinger to me. The idea behind this is that Kinger has to watch everyone leave or abstract, and then watch new humans come in so the entire cycle just restarts. Again. And again.

- The reason behind his state may not be due to the time their itself as the others have also been there a long time and experienced many abstractions- I think Kinger saw Queenie abstract in front of him, contributing to his spacey and jumpy personality

- Lastly, the above theory but the reason behind his state is because he found a way to the void. Considering his time there and how he is likely the first of any and all victims, im sure he might and could have been the prime example for the affect of what “she could get spoiled!!” Means from Caine when he learned Pomni had arrived there.

So The Amazing Digital Circus has latched onto my brain like a particularly stubborn tick so now I gotta share a theory of mine from the Pilot.

Considering it's all, indeed, digital and the mental health of its occupants ties to their stability, I bet their avatars are near direct reflections of themselves and their issues/flaws, albeit with a filter to fit the Fun, Child Friendly Aesthetic of the Circus.

Pomni is a classic rendition of a Jester. A Court Fool. Her eyes are incredibly expressive and even change to scribbles, hollow circles, or pure black depending on her mental state.

She likely views her life as a joke, or views herself as the punchline of a joke. She's a Fool. Whether this is due to perceived incompetence, an inability to "grow up", or simply considers herself to be lesser than her peers.

I do however use the above picture on purpose. She's an absolute nervous wreck 99% of the time, but stops while being chased by a monster and is stunned by her own reflection. That isn't a look of fear or confusion, it's awe. Something about her avatar struck a cord with her and seemed right. I personally subscribe to the theory of her being transgender and experiencing a small bout of gender euphoria amidst the horrors thanks to a post made by one demilypyro.

Jax is a Cartoon Rabbit. Not really terribly much to say about the design itself other than it being very rubber-hose animation in its proportions and the seeming default smug expression.

Jax is an asshole. He plays pranks in bad faith, is incredibly snarky and dry even to someone in distress, and doesn't seem to overly care about the others well being.

"I'm fine with doing whatever, as long as I get to see funny things happen to people." It makes sense his avatar would take a similar look to another wise-cracking cartoon rabbit we all know. He also seems the most content to actually be in the Circus itself. Considering it can let him do all manner of things to others, from the lethal to the physically impossible, he might consider it better than reality.

Ragatha is literally just raggedy ann. A patchwork doll.

She seems to be the most outwardly kind of the individuals in the circus, showing patience and understanding with Pomni even when in distress, though she clearly has a limit to said patience.

I think it's safe to assume Ragatha has been through a lot of shit for her avatar to make her seem patchwork. Which is to say, damaged multiple times and repaired each time, leaving clear marks of the repairs like scars.

Zooble is a mess of individual parts slammed together in an approximation of a humanoid shape. Like someone took dozens of pieces from all sorts of toys and put them together into an amalgam.

Gooseworx has stated they have no idea what they're even suppose to be. This can and likely does include gender, but probably includes their entire identity as a whole. Or rather, their lack of one.

For whatever reason, be it alienation, isolation, or any number of potential causes; Zooble doesn't know who they are or what they want to be. No ambitions, no dreams, no real self identity. This makes their avatar manifest as a mess that also doesn't know what it wants to be, so is a little bit of everything.

Gangle is most insubstantial, their body almost entirely a ribbon. The key part of their avatar is the mask: Comedy and Tragedy. And it seems in the few instances it's not broken, they always try to wear the comedy mask over top the tragedy mask.

Gangle's behavior makes me think she's the youngest of the individuals, at least mentally. As for the masks, something about her circumstances in life made her feel the need to put on a facade of joy. Maybe to live up to expectations, or to hide her true feelings to avoid worrying others. As an avatar, this seems to have become literal: She seems to only be happy with the mask on and discontent at best with it off/broken.

Kinger is a White King Chess Piece.

He's a forgetful paranoiac who, according to the characters, has been present in the Circus for the longest amount of time. He seems to forget where people are and what he's doing quite a bit.

In a moment of lucidity near the end, he goes in depth about how the food they eat is just simulated, and how they provide the sensation of eating despite not being real. It's also worth mentioning the ground floor of the circus is a Chess Board.

I believe Kinger is/was at least partially in charge of creating the Circus. His avatar is a walking symbol of authority, a reflection on his standing within the digital space rather than his current mental state. Perhaps the avatar was more fitting when he first entered the Circus, aware of its intricacies and rules, but has long since forgotten such things.

We don't see Kaufmo while he's uh. Normal. But we do see pictures of what he did look like: A Clown.

From the dialogue of other characters like Ragatha and Gangle, he seemed to actually try and play the role of clown during his time in the Circus, even if he wasn't terribly funny.

Kaufmo likely found himself to be a clown in reality. Maybe he was a clown in the literal sense. Or maybe he just saw himself as a funny, quirky guy to be around even if he was none of those things.

Finally, we have what happens when someone goes completely plum insane.

The Avatars are based on mental scans of the individual made to fit the aesthetic of the circus. an Abstraction is what happens when said software tries to read a mind that has no logic or reasoning left. There's nothing to find, no basis of personality, no base to work with. So in confusion the avatar becomes a glitched mess, trying and failing to find a shape within the madness to settle into.

Kinger seems to be insane, yet they're stable, because there is still an individual underneath the neurosis. There's nothing left of Kaufmo at this point: Just a cyclone of emotions inside a broken human mind.

That's the theory, anyway. It's a fucking pilot I could be entirely wrong.

Do any of the cast (specifically Pomni but any of them is good) mourn the loss of their humanity? It's one thing to know that you're stuck in your digital body only until you escape, it's another thing entirely to know that it's gone forever and you're never getting it back.

Well Pomni especially did, after learning that she was stuck in there for like 10+ years and that her search of escape while in the digital world was useless due to the fact they were basically stuck a USB, Unable to escape unless someone from the outside have plug the USB in and allowed the program to download to their pc, thus making an escape. Let's just say Pomni had several mental breakdowns (Few scared the reader that they hid in their room) but she is honestly far more ok as she would rather be in this situation rather spend another years of her life in the digital world aimlessly trying to find an exit not knowing her actions would be useless and result in her possibly abstracting.

The others I think have been in their digital bodies for longer than Pomni that they seem to have almost forgotten what they really used to be.

Gangle also cried after learning that she will never be "Normal" again.

Kinger tbh I think is already far too gone in his mental state that he has forgotten his humanity.

Jax is so used to the digital world now that he has forgotten it too thus creating some highly dangerous mistakes such as forgetting that throwing knives at you isn't exactly pranking in the real world anymore.

Zooble I think is just glad that they never have to listen or do any of Caine's games and adventure (But did voice their displeasure when they found out he is still there, just now reduced from a gameshow host to a digital helper in the reader's pc)

Ragatha would need some time of processing the whole thing but like Pomni, I think she would be ok in this situation rather than be stuck in the digital world, plus she looks at it in a more brighter side in which while she and the rest of the performers can never regain or remember their past life, they can start a new one with the reader and relearn what it is like to feel human again (As closely as they can to a human anyway, considering they do not need to eat, use the bathroom, all their needs is honestly just energy in a form of electricity)

Ok so I decided I wanna throw my hat in the tadc au ring. It’s not gonna be super consistent update and content wise esp since hyperfixations fluctuate but I’ll try my best

Anyways without further ado lemme introduce you to

The AMAZING DIGITAL BAND

( Inspired by the dancerush au and the black parade au but also rhythm games, no straight roads and games like battle of the bands for the Wii, guitar hero, this one game I remember playing where you make your own band etc )

GENERAL PREMISE

the au follows Pomni, similar to canon she ends up in a digital world but instead of a circus it’s a music studio in some sort of city district ( think NSR ) and is suddenly recruited by Caine ( the manager for the band which I’m gonna call Digital Circus for now ) to take the spot of the former band member kaufmo who suddenly disappeared one day ( some rumors say he up and quit while others say he died/abstracted ). Digital Circus has recently been having some ( read: a lot of ) troubles due to constant arguments between the band, Kaufmo leaving and a slew of other things and Caine thinks Pomni can help restore the band to its former glory.

Pomni just wants to go back to her regular life but decides to play along in hopes that if the band can reach no 1 in the charts than she ( and the other humans ) can return back to the real world.

But there’s something darker brewing behind the scenes

CAST/ROLES

Digital Circus Band

( Note: the band is multigenre bc no one can agree on what genre to focus on. Rock has been genre that’s been the most prominent lately due to Jax’s influence. They also cover preexisting songs too )

Caine: Band Manager

Bubble: whatever the term for ppl who set up the stage for the band to preform is among some other misc roles

Pomni: drummer ( originally Kaufmos role ) and eventually starts doing some backup/secondary vocals

Jax: lead vocals and guitar. He’s the self proclaimed “ leader “ of the band

Ragatha: pianist/costume designer

Gangle: tbh I don’t think she actually performs in the band but she designs posters and album covers. Also is the primary lyricist for the band bc Jax CANNOT be trusted to write songs for the band

Zooble: DJ/Guitarist and Bassist when the situation calls for it. Also helps with the special effects

Kinger: used to be the lead vocals but after an incident he refuses to sing so now does various back up instruments. His mental state also isn’t the best either

OTHERS

( will get updated as more eps come and we get to see more npcs and stuff )

The audience are npcs ( varies between the mannequins and like actual fleshed put npcs )

Queenie and Kaufmo used to be part of Digital Circus but disappeared ( Queenies disappearance is a part of why Kinger doesn’t sing anymore)

Currently for competing bands and musicians we have Loolilou ( a solo pop artist ) and Gummigoo and his mates ( a country/bluegrass band? )

I haven’t decided on a band name for Gummigoo and co yet

Notes

- they are able to have sex ( Jax def has groupies ) but it isn’t a huge thing in this au and id consider the au mostly pg-13 with some occasional adult themes sprinkled in

- swearing is somewhat allowed? They can’t say fuck though ( it gets bleeped out ) and Caine cannot swear

Post-Abstracted AU Additional Info On Bios.

Rett - Due to losing his tongue and jaw, the poor dog has to resort to using a dog muzzle to cover up his injury. Overtime he has grown to getting used to it. He also can’t talk, thanks to what the abstraction did to his affected body parts.

Wriggle - The poor worm developed PTSD from the incident with his abstracted form when he was saved. Each time he thinks about it or when someone mentions about abstraction, rather it being their own experiences, the past process, or just saying the word itself, it triggers, making him go into a “fight-or-flight” response, where severe stress and fear gets the better of him.

Moppsy - The sock puppet ends up receiving a prosthetic rabbit ear, along with a hearing aid to help her with her current condition. Overtime, she grew to be comfortable. She also developed paranoia, where she could stutter and shake most of the time, to which the others help comfort her to keep her calm and feel safe.

Yucko - The yellow clown ended up having really bad anger issues as a side effect from being forced out of his abstracted form. There can be times where he scolds his saviors for saving him from abstraction, thinking that it was rather unnecessary. To replace his lost hand and part of his lower arm, a prosthetic arm, equipped with a spear at the end of it for self defense, ends up attached to where his arm remains.

Bizz - Like Kinger, Bizz can sometimes develop memory loss or space out for a second before screaming in fear without warning. It’s something he’s not able to control due to his trauma, but he does apologize afterwards, as he has no intention on scaring anyone. He has tight veins all around his eyes as well, signaling that he’s mentally unstable like the King chess piece himself. He also has a bandage wrapped around his damaged nose for aid.

Doz - Besides her cold attitude, she ended up with a similar personality like Jax, where she can do risky things and leave others behind during dangerous situations at times. She has a really careless attitude as a result and it can make others dislike her in return. She also ended up on a wheelchair because of her missing legs and hates it so much.

Blonk - The pink cyclops unfortunately grew into a hopeless state. Thanks to his disabilities, he thinks of himself as useless and a waste of time. He tries to gesture the others to stop helping him, but their strong bond of friendship says otherwise. He also has a bandage covering up his damaged eye for aid, along with crisscross bandages on his damaged ear canals that are hidden under his pink fur due to his blown eardrums caused by the ear piercing screams of his abstracted form.

Ace, this look AMAZING!!!!! I love the concepts and designs!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA This is so cool!!!!!

I'm not too good with names, but here are some ideas i came up with(Note, I am not a medical professional! These are all my conceptions/perspectives on these characters/mental illnesses and how this/they work, THESE ARE ALL THEORIES/OPINIONS AND THAT ONLY!!!!):

Mentality au (Mental and maybe how they will try to change their mentality

Disordered au (Due to these mostly being called Disorders and everyone kinda seems everywhere all at once)

Inside the Mind AU (Due to everyone having some sort of personality/mental issues, they seem to be in their heads most of the time. Jax being narcissistic and inside his head thinking he's the best, Pomni thinking everyone is staring at her and judging her, Ragatha with overthinking if she's good enough for the others as well as feeling guily over situations(like abstraction) that she cant control, Gangle with having her emotional state shift quite easily, she probably has the mind set of both pomni and Ragatha [in the sense that when she's manic she's hyper aware of her surroundings and most likely thinking everyone is judging her and her depressive state being she thinks she's not good enough with things, that she's too emotional and not being able to control a situation], Zooble with needing things to be exactly how they envision things in their head and probably situations as well, and Kinger I think just kind spaces out or daydreams)

I got too ahead of myself, but I want to say again: I am not a medical professional, nor am I a part of this au and its story. These are all my conceptions, opinions, and ideas. Please give Ace all the love and support for making this au! They have done a lovely job with designs and just everything! These are just name ideas and my own visions of explanations of the names. Again, i feel the need to say: I am not a professional by any means and just wanted to make an interesting au that could be fun.(im diagnosed with ADHD anxiety and depression, im 98% sure I have BPD, and im 90% sure i have OCD, so Id be basing it off of what I know plus personal experiences) Please inform me of any misinformation I may have spread, as this was not even remotely intended to come off as offensive.

ANYWAY I SHOULD EXPLAIN THE DESIGNS

Zooble is based on what kinda made me think I had it. Everything needs to be a specific way. I wanted it to be ironic as they have a protractor and pencil and eraser to fix things to their liking, but then their design itself is a bit chaotic.

Ragatha, I wanted to dress her in something physically and mentally comfortable tbh

NOW I DIDNT CHANGE MUCH OF POMNI AND LET ME TELL YOU WHY! 1. Pomnis design draw attention EASILY with its colors, which makes her feel like everyones looking at her. 2. Shes a jester, so it feels to her like everyone is laughing at and judging her. 3 i wanted to incorporate ways for her to self sooth. Grabbing her hat, flicking her bells, rubbing the soft fabric, squeezing the chest and torso puffs, etc.

Jax? Well I just wanted to make him look comfy and confident. He WANTS eyes on him, unlike Pomni, and he goes out of his way to make others pay attention to him.

Its not related to to carnival au, BUT HEAR ME OUT. So ppl say that someone of the mc might be an npc. My guess is Kinger, and here's why. Jax mentioned that he was the first one to get into the circus so normally only Caine would know what he is. Also, we could see in the pilot that there were MANY characters that had abstracted, and its a bit weird how HE didnt, mentioning his mentally unstable personality. And finally, because everyone is slightly stressed or desperate about the exit and caine's adventures, but Kinger is just vibing that place. (Maybe hs's just uses to it). ANYWAYSSSS!!! WHATS UR OPINION ON THIS??

Oh yeah I’ve already given my piece on this theory before and I don’t think it’s likely at all. Sure he’s the first one to be there and all but someone’s gonna be the oldest member. And also he’s like.. batshit crazy because how long he’s been there, I’m sure if he was a npc he’d be a bit more there in the head. I mean if you had been doing something for 20 years straight or whatever I don’t think I’d be panicking anymore either that’s just life. Also he’s def not a npc because we’ve seen Queenies door, which tells us that there’s been chesspiece avatar humans before so he’s not a npc from a chess themed adventure. And only the humans can abstract, not npcs due to abstraction being a result of a humans mental state, and npcs do not really have that on the same level as humans. He’s definitely human- and if anyone is a npc he’s def bottom of the possible list. It just doesn’t make sense to be him, logically.
