Castle Swimmer AU
I got this stuck in my head and decided to share it with my partner. They didn't seem interested, so now I'm sharing it with all of you!
* Kappa’s stuck being the last Keyblade Wielder * I don’t know how he got it * But he’s been traversing the cosmos since he was a kid * Bitter and tired of being stuck protecting the light * Wants out * In order to gain access to keyholes, he has to complete a prophecy * For every world he visits * Or, more accurately, gets literally dragged to * They’re usually pretty mundane * But people revere the Keyblade as their savior * So Kappa avoids using it whenever possible * Won’t use the weapon unless his life depends on it * As in the thing manifests itself to protect him * Doesn’t ever stay in one place for long * Constantly being dragged along by the light * Practically kicked off of worlds when he completes a prophecy * Living out in space ain’t much of an option though * Only companion is the little pink thing that can morph into anything it sees * Think Morph from *Treasure Planet* * Or a Ditto from Pokémon * Usual form is a large, pink axolotl * Goes by Worm courtesy of Kappa * Found him out in space one day * Been with Kappa ever since
* Gets dragged to an underwater world * It’s inhabited largely by sharks * Cue cannon appearances * And cannon dilemmas of morality and loneliness * Path to keyhole locked behind shark prophecy * Only Kappa’s death with allegedly open the path * Which makes zero sense with Kappa being the Keyblade Wielder * Tries to pass the blade off to Siren to fulfill the prophecy * Cue Keyblade rejecting Siren * Can’t take a Keyblade from a living Wielder (allegedly) * Barracuda are heartless that attack the castle * Sharks manage to exterminate them * Kappa worried more will come * Until he seals the Keyhole
* Susca knew Siren couldn’t take the Keyblade from Kappa * Because Shoal had one too * Not that Siren knew that * Ventured out into the universe * In search of a way to locate their Keyhole without killing Siren * To bring the light back to their castle without bloodshed * Susca feared Siren being whisked away by the Keyblade * But the Keyblade Wielder dies, his blade vanishes too * The hope was that Kappa would never come to their castle * Eventually culminates into learning the true prophecy from Susca * Siren’s blood will reveal the Keyhole * But like, all of it is needed * Kappa refuses to kill Siren * Susca tries to kill Kappa * Claims the heartless will leave if the Keyblade is gone * Siren protects Kappa * Blood reveals path to Keyhole * But Kappa can’t get it * Because Siren isn’t dead yet * Dragged out by Nee and Krilli before he can figure out why * Manages to sneak back in thanks to Skiff * Leaves Worm with Siren * With the promise of finding each other again * Also leaves a piece of armor with Siren * It’ll grant him the ability to safely travel between worlds * Similar to Birth By Sleep * Both stowed in a bag Siren was told not to open until he leaves * Kappa still has his Gummi Ship * Siren would have no clue how to pilot that thing * Siren determined to reunite with Kappa * And find a way to seal his Keyhole without dying * Kappa trying to find a way to rid himself of his Keyblade
* Once Siren recovers, he sneaks out of his castle * Intent on going after Kappa * Susca catches him and gives him some supplies * She and Selkie know about the outside castles * Castles = Worlds in this universe * Siren departs, using the armor from Kappa to traverse * Realizes Kappa also left him something else * That being Arp * The two travel in search of both Kappa and Shoal * Kappa’s weapon reminded Siren of his dad’s * He must still be out there somewhere * Somewhere in there is a joke about Siren learning how to walk
* Siren meets Pim and Pagoon on some world * Or out in space * After having an unfortunate run-in with the Remora * They agree to let him travel with them * And teach him how to fight * Pim is searching for a safe world for Pagoon to grow * Theirs was destroyed by heartless * Neither wield Keyblades * Arp changes into different weapons for Siren * Trying to find one that suits him * Spoiler: None of them do * Siren is averse to violence anyway
* Meanwhile, Kappa runs into the witches * Hopes to become more proficient with magic under their tutelage * So he won’t have to be reliant on the Keyblade * They claim to be evil * But Kappa can tell they’re good people * Magic based on the strength of heart * Kappa’s heart is wavering * So he’s not proficient with magic * Neth’s is especially potent * Due to having been born with three * Eventually learns their world was destroyed by heartless * Feels guilty for having not been their to prevent it from happening * Reveal they’re seeking the Door to Darkness * To destroy it by any means necessary * And to find the heartless they consumed their world * And kill it * Kappa agrees to help in exchange for magic lessons * Tries to pass his Keyblade off to Mucku or Mono at some point * It obviously doesn’t work * Witches used to travel between worlds using corridors of darkness * But this draining work, so they don’t do it often * Easier to rely on Kappa’s tiny Gummi Ship
* Siren somehow gets stuck in the Realm of Darkness at some point * Similar to the God’s Mouth * Complete with twisted illusions of those Siren knows * All trying to tempt him to surrender to the dark * He and Arp eventually manage to escape * But not before nearly becoming heartless themselves * Run into a mysterious individual down in the depths * He’s been there so long he no longer remembers his name * Advises Siren that the Door to Darkness must be sealed * Or more worlds are going to fall to the heartless * He recalls his own world met such a fate * They’d prayed for the appearance of the Keyblade * But it obviously never arrived * So they took matters into their own hands * And attempted to slay the monsters themselves * They eventually were consumed by the darkness * A large, serpentine heartless destroyed their world * Now he’s all that’s left * Wandering the dark for all eternity * Siren asks how to save him * Can lost worlds be restored? * The man states they tried, but ended in failure * That all worlds are doomed to fall to darkness * Because a single Keyblade is not enough to save the galaxy * Siren wants to find a way to save his castle * To save Kappa * Without having to die * The man realizes he’s slipping * He’s been down here for far too long * He manages to get Siren out before becoming a heartless * Siren reunited with Pim and Pagoon on some random world * They head back out, intent on reaching their goals
* Pim and Pagoon split with Siren at some point * They leave to investigate Traverse Town * While Siren heads for the Mysterious Tower * Runs into Herm, a hermit who knows more than they let on * Learns about Keyblades and Prophecies * How they’re intertwined with the light * Herm once instructed Shoal on how to use the Keyblade * But never learned how to bypass a prophecy * Siren learns Kappa and the witches had come by here * But Kappa declined learning more about his weapon * Herm had advised them to head for Hollow Bastion * It’s a world close to the Realm of Darkness * But it houses an extensive library * Should have the research of a man who studied the heartless * Might give them a clue on how to destroy the blight * Neth hoping to find their target there as well * Siren departs for Hollow Bastion * Worried for Kappa’s safety
* Kappa gets separated from the witches when they crash on the same world * Kappa was yanked their against his will by that damn light * Cornered by a large crab-like heartless * Forced to use Keyblade to fight it off * But not able to defeat it on his own * Attempts to flee * Nearly killed in the process * Quite literally runs into Siren * Advises Kappa to dismiss the weapon while they flee * The heartless are tracking him by its light * Something he learned from Herm * Manage to escape together
* Reunion short-lived * Attacked by a rampaging Neth * Who’s lost control of her magic * Siren forced to distract the crab as it’s caught back up with them * Kappa manages to quell the darkness before Nethimir is consumed * The crab - Lord Ogo - soon sets upon them * Kappa worried about Siren * He and Neth manage to at least force the heartless back * Siren’s okay * Barely * Nearly corrupted by the darkness * Managed to hold on * Granted a Keyblade * Similar to how Sora gets his in the first game * Unlike with Arp, this weapon feels right * Charges in to help Kappa and Neth against Ogo * Joined by Mucku and Mono for cover fire * The five nearly purify Ogo * Ogo retaliates at the last second * Aiming for Kappa * Siren jumps in to protect him * Both crushed by Ogo
* Siren awakens in the Realm of Darkness * Recognizes it from before * Desperately searches for Kappa * Manages to locate his light * But it’s barely hanging on * Vows to protect it * And find a way out of here * After a while, he feels like he’s falling * Holds on for Kappa’s sake * Eventually, they’re pulled out by the witches * Don’t have a clue how though * The group is now trapped on Hollow Bastion * Kappa’s ship is in no shape to fly * And Siren’s borrowed armor only covers one person * Not to mention Siren and Kappa are in no shape to fight
* Witches too exhausted saving them to conjure a new corridor * Manage to hold out long enough for Pim and Pagoon to find them * Came looking for Siren when he never met up with them * It’s a tight squeeze, but they all pile into Pim’s ship * Travel back to Traverse Town * Meet up with Nee and Krilli to rest * Need a new game plan * Kappa doesn’t want to be here * Won’t reveal why * Witches know something happened here * So they’re extra vigilant over him * One is with Kappa at all times * Mucku promises they can leave as soon as Kappa recovers

Platonic Yandere Kitsune + Child Reader
Imagine the most vain, deceitful, mischievous kitsune
Infamous for killing hundreds of humans and even more unfortunate children
An actual evil menace
He has been doing this for a good two centuries
Already having earned his two tails
Unfortunately, the wisdom of older age doesn’t seem to disparage him from terrorizing the kingdom’s outer edges
Almost omniscient there's no telling where he is or if he’s in disguise or if he’s been building fake relationships with others to lure them in
It’s scary but not enough to scare off children completely
Which leads to you
A nice life in nobility means you’re sheltered or at least given a nicer tale than most kids
But your family wasn’t without humble beginnings
So the only real time you do find yourself playing in the great outdoors is then
“Hello, little one!”
He doesn’t bother to hide his fox ears or his flicking tails
He finds children are easily interested in them
Looking up from the sticks you were playing with, you offer him a smile
He smirks to himself this is going to be too easy
After introducing himself with another fake name he moves along
“Come follow me into the forest, deeper inside we can play house together there!”
“Hmm no.”
“Yay–wait. Did you say ‘no’?”
“Yeah.”
Not entirely...different but different enough
He knows some kids treat their parent’s words as law
so this will take a little more convincing
“Actually I just don’t want to play house right now.”
This is fine
Most children need a little peer pressure to do what he wants
“Fine then. Guess we won’t be able to play together, after all.”
“Okay!”
What?!
He watches as you skip further away from his direction flapping the sticks
How irritating
You didn’t do a single thing he wanted you to
He excuses himself to blow off some steam aka drowning some fellow in the river
He tells himself to shake it off
he still is the best at tricking kids
He proves this by devouring the soul of some other kid with all the same tricks that didn’t work on you
But even with a full stomach, he’s bothered
How dare you?
How could you?
He finds you again maybe not at your vacation home
This time he’s a bit more direct letting his mask slip a little
“Come with me. Please? I’m so so scared!”
“Then I’ll just get my dad. If you’re so scared.”
“NO! I mean why won’t you? You seem so brave,”
“I don’t want to go in there. I’m wearing my garden shoes. I don’t want these ones ruined too.”
He gets so frustrated
Going to his lavish shrine where lesser spirits serve him and other mischievous yokai often come to party to complain
“I can’t believe this child is making this so difficult! Sometimes I have such a hard time not just eating them out of spite!”
“Right? But it’s the whole chase that makes it fun!” an especially powerful Chochin raves
“True that and it's more delicious!” a Kappa friend of his toasts
It isn’t until he listens to a Yuki Ona who really makes him think
“Children bring a warmth like none other. Caring for one is an adventure.”
He remembers that when he starts to watch you again
Finally noticing the quirks that make you the way you are
What foods you like
How you like to be put to bed
It all starts to make sense to him but he still stays
He watches
And he waits
For what he doesn’t know
He just waits
Sometimes he’ll step away to feed on an adult he comes across or an especially bratty child
Comparing them to you as he picks his teeth
He only really notices when there's a break in your routine
Part 2: Here

Some of my fav quotes so far, or ones I think have a sense of importance to them.
Some tacky/silly, but some I gen like and have written down!!
"Guys like him were everywhere. They were a Brotherhood, where no woman told them what to do. The White House held men like him for the past 5 years, breaking and entering after dark, just like him." (Damn right.)
"He was hot under the collar, with a fire in his loins." (Light of my life, fire of my loins ass sentence)
"Girls didn't like him, though; not a single one, ever. It was as though their defenseless species sensed the threat he posed, the predator in the wild. He despised the objects he desired."
"Billy was misogyny made flesh."
"Making moist memories."
"Billy's hate added weights on his shoulders and in his head. With violence and murder, the weight was momentarily lifted. Normally he has a slouch, but after murder he stood upright, broad shouldered, at his fullest height. Powerful, triumphant." (I really like this one, there's something about it that's like. Just makes so much sense.)
"Eventually, he would let each girl see him. And they would understand what he was, and that their time was up. It was imperative that they feared him first, that was where he got his greatest pleasure. When he felt most powerful. What made him a man."
"But he had to admit, he enjoyed the smell when they wet themselves in fear or death."
"And you are little, aren't you? A little man with a teensie-weensie weenie like a Vienna sausage, all cold and slimy!" - "the only thing fat will be your lips if you ever come around here, creep. Why don't you find a wall sock and stick your tongue in it that'll give you a charge. Then stick your dick in it, it'd probably fit." (the real DIVA 💜)
"Though tipsy, Barb was more self aware than others realized. She knew everyone saw Claire as the virginal innocent, while she was the resident ornery lush. Barb would play the bitch, the role life had cast her in, and she would revel in it. Whatever reputation she had had been shot long ago. Her wide-eyed ingenue doing days were already over, but she could occupy the severe character roles like Betty Davis and get all the best lines."
"Despite the Mrs of her name, there has never been a Mr Mac. She didn't like men much and would certainly never live with one. There were reasons for that. Those reasons she never shared with anyone, and nobody asked. The Pi Kappa Sigma house was her all female Kingdom and she was the queen. Their domain was unspoiled. What more could she ask for?" (I'm kind of wondering if this is implicative? Perhaps not, but seems a bit. Also may just be a reason for Billy to hate her more.)
"As her vision went dark, she hooked onto competing sounds. There was the meowing of Claude, who have been trying to warn her. He'd even drawn blood. If only she'd gone out to bandage the wound in the bathroom. She hoped Claude would survive because she would not."
"This was The Moaner aspiring to be The Murderer"
youtube
"Billy wanted to be her first, her one and only. It was important that he ruin her before any other man could. Nobody could ruin a girl like him."
"He softly sang her a lullaby, one with special meaning. Hopefully she was paying attention, because there would be a quiz later."
"He understood Dracula's allure, how women beared their necks so he could suck out their lifeblood. What he did wasn't much different
"A light snow began to fall outside, but Claire's bulging eyes could not see it. She was Billy's plaything now, his toy, at least until he got tired of her. Billy like to break his toys, smashing them to pieces in a tantrum."
#If you are wondering why MOST of this is Billy is because a lot of what's happened so far with the girls is mostly just movie accurate-#dialogue or info on their parents#Theres this added on char named Mugsey and I think her and Barb are in love /j#so far I have mixed feelings on this but that might change#im only 5 chapters in#I have a lot I like about it and some I really don't but we'll see!!#billy lenz#BC BOOK LIVEBLOG#Youtube

Retrospective on Kappa and Siren's first meeting (2/2)
This post will be a continuation of that one :
Now Let's Continue!
------------
5. Caring for someone
Just after this lighthearted interaction, Siren reveals to Kappa that he was not what he expected. It's a sensitive subject for him, causing him to act very vulnerable again (my poor baby).
And what happens next is something that I didn't notice so much when I first read it, but now it feels really precious and powerful.
Kappa gets upset and we see him and we see him turn his back on Siren.
AAAAH the gentle touch on the cell bars I’m melting-hum, sorry-
So we see Siren trying to comfort Kappa, realizing how upset he made him.
Everything about this moment feels great and so SO right, so let me expand on why that is ^^
On one hand, Siren is just so caring and gentle. When he tilts his head slightly when he says "hey", it melts my heart. But most importantly, it puts him in the position of being the one to comfort someone. It's something he feels he hasn't been able to do his whole life, with everyone doting on him and worrying about his welfare and HIS only.
Interestingly, Siren's "thank you" here feels like a parallel to Kappa's thanking people for complimenting his scales when he doesn't like it but feels bad saying it out loud 🤔
But anyway, going back on track !
Siren has always been the one taken care of, but has rarely had the opportunity to take care of everyone. Not to mention the guilt he feels for being the one to stop the curse from happening while his people suffer, yet he feels unable to do what he "needs" to do to stop it. A very complicated and difficult situation.
Kudos to the author for showing such complex emotions and dynamics. Because on the surface it would be like "Siren is loved by everyone and treated like a hero, how could that be hard to deal with?" when in fact it is and the story illustrates it. This makes Siren feel even more isolated in his feelings, with really no one who seems to be able to understand or relate to him and his struggles, let alone see them (but more on that in a post about their second meeting, now GOING BACK ON TRACK)
The thing is, Siren has SUCH a caring, protective side to him. And here he's able to show care for someone and be in the position of being the one who comforts the other for what really seems to be the first time in his life. And it all feels really natural, spontaneous. Without any sense of guilt between them. Siren really needed to have someone to comfort, to showcase, maybe even realize that part of him.
°
On the other hand, we have Kappa showing how upset he is and how angry he is with Siren. But don't get me wrong :
That's such SUCH a good thing for me !
Let's put some context back here : Kappa is the Beacon, he's used to people seeing him for their own benefit, hardly like a person, more like a figure/object to be used. The first hours of his life he was literally yelled at for not doing things the way they were expected while he was a literal TODDLER.
Imagine the effect it must have had on such a young child. How messed up it was. But more importantly, how it forged him into not valuing his own feelings at all.
Back to the current scene. He's actually LOCKED UP in a dungeon. He's facing the prince of a cursed kingdom who has to kill him to end the suffering of his people. The guy is much stronger and bigger than him. He has a deadly weapon, but he can do whatever he wants to him without much effort. Considering his prophecy, he doesn't seem to have any reason to go easy on him.
YET, in the span of a few words exchanged, he's in a situation where he's upset, and this guy crouches down and apologizes to him for scaring him.
He’s not even apologizing because he must kill him. But he apologizes for scaring him, for hurting his feelings. For something as “trivial”.
We went from a guy who was like "you have to kill me? okay, fine, I don't want to resist because I don't want to upset you" to "you scared me and were insensitive, I'm angry >:(" xDDD
But not only Kappa was able to express his feelings, Siren valued them and responded to it.
Despite the situation he's in, we see him feel safe enough to express his feelings and be angry at the guy who was supposed to KILL HIM. We see him feel WAY safer and more comfortable than he felt around people in castles who didn't have to kill him, all while he was swimming free.
Poor baby's bar is under the ground about the care and attention he deserves from people, especially people he's bound to by a prophecy. Yet, not only did our amazing Siren set no expectations for him, not only did he not blame him for anything, he even APOLOGIZED for upsetting HIM. Thus showing him consideration he likely barely had in his life.
They need to get to know each other better, they haven't bonded yet. But these few interactions convey how comfortable they are with each other and how their interactions bring so much to each other, something they barely had and brings them positive emotions.
Last note to conclude that part, I find it cute how Kappa's tendency to cross his arms whenever he’s upset at Siren remains 150 episodes or so later. It’s really cute xD
------------
6. The right thing
Afterwards, Siren mentions that he's going to free him. This seems to take him by surprise.
I guess he knew that Siren wouldn't kill him, sure, but there was still a prophecy, and he had nothing to gain by freeing him. Listening to him, Kappa goes back to his vulnerable expression, which expresses how he feels like acting for himself isn't even something to consider.
I find it very telling that the first thing that comes to his mind is "don't the other sharks want this?" as if what HE wanted was off the table. Which was true most of the time, unfortunately TwT
But for the first time in his life, someone is talking about acting for HIM and HIM alone, with nothing to gain. Not even that, choosing him DESPITE supposedly having more to gain by killing him now.
But he doesn't seem to be fully aware of it, doesn't trust it yet. I think at this point it's really hard for him to believe that anyone would ever do that for him, let alone a prince from a cursed kingdom who supposedly needs him DEAD. "Even if you're serious" is really telling in this part.
It might sound like something Siren said without thinking, and then he would immediately retract his words, realizing that he's still the Beacon and he can't possibly do that.
But that doesn't happen, on the contrary, Siren even doubles down on his statements with genuine confidence :
First, their physical proximity in this scene. Siren casually puts his face close to Kappa's. And the way Kappa reacts, he seems surprised, but not as uncomfortable as when people casually make physical contact with him and drag him around.
He seems surprised, but not bothered. It was probably unintentional on Siren's part, he tends to get close when he is caught up in his emotions. But it just feels right, again because their interactions feel respectful, on a similar scale, like two equals. Kappa isn't looked down on or tossed around and stuff like that. And it's so funny that the time he got that respectful treatment was in a FREAKING CELL xD
(Lil anecdote : when I first came across CS's image, it was from scenes in the dungeon in Season 1. So I had no idea what CS was about at that point. I knew that one of the characters was imprisoned, but I really didn't know which one. Because from the picture I came across, they both seemed so cool, and the prison always felt more like a hanging place than a literal, you know… dungeon xD Again, I think it was really telling.)
But now let's focus on what Siren actually says and how important it is. Not only does he express his confidence that he will be able to escape, he also expresses his commitment to doing the "right thing".
People who rely on the beacon usually put their burden on one person and expect the beacon to be a miracle solution, they wouldn't consider another option most of the time. Siren comes across as someone who is deeply guided by his morals and would rather find the way to make the "morally good" decision, even if it ends up being difficult. This is not common, not at all.
It's clearly not something Kappa is used to seeing in someone, and Siren deserves a lot of credit for that, imo.
They both bring something that the other deeply needs. Kappa needed someone to bring him this kindness without expecting anything in return, as everyone in his life does. But it also works the other way around. Siren needed motivation to act on his own, to realize what he was capable of. By acting for someone else, he's also acting for himself. He's not burdened by his bad self-image, by what his people expect of him, by his guilt, he's really thinking about standing up for what he thinks is right.
------------
7. The name reveal
And then we get to the scene where Kappa tells Siren his name. Again, I love this moment.
Kappa is first addressed as "the Beacon". When he asks to be called Kappa, his request also implies that he wants to be considered a normal being, not a divine being.
His name is very symbolic to him, it often feels like a big deal when he reveals his name and wants to be addressed by it. In other words, he's asserting himself as a person and going against what he feels he's supposed to be, aka a tool to fulfill prophecies. But sometimes he just doesn't share it because it's clear that with the way people treat him, it's not even worth considering.
But with Siren, it felt really cute
It was a heartfelt moment. The way I interpreted it is that Kappa didn't have to ask to be treated like a person: he already was. And it was one of the really REALLY rare occasions where he was treated as a person without having to ask. So I feel like the fact that he was able to share it so confidently and easily is really a testament to how trusting and comfortable Siren makes him feel. And I think it also shows that he is starting to have positive feelings about him despite the whole situation. And Siren, being the absolute sweetheart that he is, immediately went through with it.
Not only that, but it makes him blush once again. Because that's what's really important to him, getting to know the name of the person he’s developing a crush on. And gosh that’s so sweet, I’m so soft for them.
.
.
To expand on the whole "name reveal talk" before moving on, because I find it interesting: In other cases, some people who used to call him "Beacon" will evolve and use his actual name, like the amazing queens Nee and Krilli. But there are also cases where characters, similar to Siren, have already considered Kappa to be his own person, and the name reveal also felt like a way to make it "official", and they immediately went along with it. It's those two sweethearts :
And then there is Neth xDDDDDD
But she's a QUEEN so it's ok for her. (Nethimir is a freaking goat I love her so freaking much).
------------
8. Last thoughts
THEY ARE SO FREAKING CUTE AAAAAAAAAAAH
Kappa blushing for the first time, he probably realised Siren actually was attractive without the giant deadly spear on his hands xD Meanwhile Siren being a cute mess xD
Something we can notice in retrospect, I think, is how smiling Kappa is overall in this chapter. Yes, he was really scared and his current situation sucks. But the way he was all soft and smiling at the end is way more than he used to be. (Because our poor boy's life SUCKS)
I also really like this moment :
The fact that Siren actually THANKS HIM for handing him the spear. And look how happy our boi is 🥺
Again, it may not seem like much at first. But we're talking about the guy who got yelled at as a baby for getting a prophecy wrong. Yeah, I know I've said it countless times, but it's just a little reminder of how fucked up our little boy really is xDD
Bringing back this scene. Kappa felt as a BABY that if things got bad, it’s because HE did something wrong and was responsible.
Here, he might have expected to be considered responsible for not dying. And not only this guy spared him despite his prophecy, he's thanking him for something as trivial and handing him his spear back.
Then Siren leave the dungeon
I think it was implied that Kappa didn't immediately have a crush on Siren. Which makes sense, the situation didn't leave him too much mental space to see the guy who was supposed to kill him as a love interest. HOWEVER, he does seem to be smitten, smiling already. And we know that no one has ever been this nice to him before.
(Well, except for that damn golden woman I want to talk about sometime, don't worry, I won't forget that wonderful being with a V-name who will be immortalized in my heart).
I would like to end the retrospective with this moment, which for me is a good summary :
Mucku is the best and asks the right questions.💞
-------------------
That's all for now! I had so much fun revisiting all those moments, I really like how well their relationship is built from the beginning. Needless to say, I really love them xD
Thanks for reading ! 🩵🧡

SONIC OC BARRAGE GO
Introducing a bunch of my sonic ocs that no one really asked for, but I felt like drawing!
The "Squad of the Future" redux because the squad got bigger
Each character and a little bit about themselve's under the readmore!
Angel Robotnik-Cemerald the Cat
The oldest of the squad, being a few hundred years old now, though she lost track a long time ago. She is a clone created by Eggman, using both His and Vick's Dna, made to be the perfect heir to share his eventual kingdom with. ... Well she got his smarts and his love for building, but thats about it. She has to keep her little half brother, Draco, out of trouble.
Draco Johnathan Cemerald-Robotnik the Hedgecat
The "brains" of the group, 12 year old Draco is the son of Vick Cemerald and Shadow Robotnik. He has a problem with his arrogance, but doesn't hesitate to put himself between his friends and danger. He's constantly bugging his big sisters, both his half sister Angel as well as his full sister Raven. Demetre is his very best friend.
Demetre the Porcupine
Demetre is Draco's keeper, aka the one to always humble the dumbest smart person he knows. With his ability to fire his quills at a rapid rate, he's more of a long range attacker. He enjoys science, like Draco, though isn't quite on his level.
Henry the Bearded Dragon
Henry is a quiet kind of guy, usually having his nose in a book or drawing sick comics. He's a tad self conscious about his looks, so he tries to look the part of "bad boy". But with his big heart and stupendous healing abilities, he's a great ally to have.
Kevin the Armadillo and Mesmer the Hedgehog
Kevin is the literal big brother of the group, with his little Sibling Mesmer always by his side. They may not be the strongest of the squad, but their experiences in life make them invaluable. Mesmer is always reminding everyone that theres time to smile, while Kevin reminds them of responsibility that they all share.
Lexis the Sloth
Lexis is the powerhouse, with an explosive power to gather potential energy and turn it into kinetic energy. To prevent herself from making a destructive mistake, Lexis prefers to spend her free time sleeping, either in a bed or where ever she can get cozy.
Prince Kappa of the Kingdom of Shells and Princess Marina of the Kingdom of Urchins
Prince Kappa and Princess Marina are two royals from the same continent, one madly in love with the other. I'll give you three guesses as to which is which. Marina's father, King Marin, wants the two to be wed in order to combine the two kingdoms. Kappa, however, as a single heir to a kingless kingdom, does not want this. He does not like Marina in that way and just wants to be friends who hang out.
Jaque the Hedgehog
The Dream Walker, Jaque has the ability to enter the astral plane in his sleep as well as the dreamscapes of others. He is incapable of having dreams of his own. Usually he's the therapist of the friend group, unable to help himself on coming upon nightmares when called out to.
Piper the Retriever
Although not the oldest, Piper has big Mom friend energy, scolding the more irresponsible of the group often. While having no powers to speak of, she has a great sense of leadership though claims that shes no leader. She loves to take care of her friends, especially when they forget to eat, sleep, or sometimes breathe.
Axel the Meerkat
The strongman, loving to casually show off his strength, Axel has, you guessed it, strength class abilities. He is a mute sort, never seeming to utter a word, though no one really knows why. His best friend Gou seems to understand him regardless.
Gou the Porcupine
Gou is a Speedster, only able to launch a single quill at a time but with great precision and speed. His best friend Axel tends to keep his class clown attitude in check, but with his big mouth its hard to get out of the tricky situations they get into. He uses a cyber sleeve on his right arm to gather intel, and to also sometimes watch videos on TuYube.
Dr. Nikolia Moore the Tigeress
Nikolia is the team's Medic, being the only one of them certified with a doctorate in medicine as well as nutritional health. Her deadpan face can be intimidating to most, but her heart is that of a mother. A mother who will rip off the head of something hurting an innocent, a friend, or worse, a child. She is a strong believer in Doctor/Patient Confidentiality, and would never out someone for anything with out asking if it was okay to speak on the matter. She and Angel are Colleagues.
And that's all for now! Thank you for reading thus far.

The King's death was unexpected, even with a war going on. The body was to be taken back to the palace, but the men were allowed to give their respects first.
- The King instructed me to convey his gratitude to you, Captain Trypitis told Nashuja. He wanted me to give you some of his valuable stones, his horse Kappa and his sword.
- To me? His horse? The same horse that killed him? What am I going to do with that beast? It's a curse, not a gift, I don't know anything about horses!
- Well it is yours now. It was the King's wish. For your travels, he said And he really loved that horse, even if it killed him I believe he wanted someone to take care of it.
- My travels? Oh. Yes, that makes sense. Okay, I will try my best to honor his wishes. I will take care of the horse. As best I can.
In the beginning Nashuja was intimidated by the size and appearance of Kappa. He was cautious and patient, and made sure to have carrots or apples whenever he approached her.
After some weeks, there was certainly more trust between them.
The war continued, and Nashuja was again fit for fight. The men in general were not as motivated as they had been. The war-weariness probably had to do with the lack of progress. Victory seemed impossible.
Then, about three months after King Ifiklis death, they received the message from the regent; Prince Heraklis. He had made a deal with the enemy. The conditions were harsh, but peace was finally reached. The agreement was formally approved by the new king; the very young King Mijararos I. He was now formally the head of Manthos, but since he was just a child it was of course his uncle who had the real power and authority in the kingdom.
It was a very special day wen the soldiers marched home to Manthos. They weren't overly excited about the agreement Prince Heraklis had made, they felt that he had sold them short. There were rumors that he had betrayed them, his own people. They said he probably was on the enemy's side from the beginning, a renegade. Some even said that the former King had found out about it and confronted him, and that Prince Heraklis then killed his own brother because of it.
The citizens of Manthos were however ecstatic that war was over and that their boys were coming home.

👀 Oooh, this sounds fun! 🌍 For Kappa (ask-impatient-samurott)
Name: Kappa
Species: Samurott
Kingdom: Naaturo
Kappa was born and raised in Naaturo. When she was a Dewott, she was convinced by a friend to come with them to the kingdom of Terrestria to train. Terrestria is known for its abundance of evolutionary stone ores and battle contests. Every year, a battle tournament is held and Kappa’s friend thought they’d have a chance of winning. When the both of them arrived in Terrestria, they headed straight for Master Farris’ training grounds. After a while, Kappa evolved and the two of them were ready to join the tournament.
They made it through a great deal of the battles and ended up in a battle with a lapras. The two saw this lapras had yellow eyes but chalked it up to genetics. Seemed this lapras was also incredibly powerful too, with ice type attacks which could cover the battle grounds with a layer of thick ice. Kappa’s friend tried to attack but ended up dead to a single attack before anyone could process what had happened. Before the officiators could call off the match, the lapras ended up dealing an incredible blow to Kappa’s head, leading to her being knocked out. She was rushed to an emergency room.
After some time, she woke up to find that she was finding it incredibly difficult to remember what had happened during the tournament. All she could remember was those yellow eyes that seemed to pierce through her. She also discovered that she’d received some nasty scarring from the event. When she was eventually allowed to leave, she went back to the battle grounds, asking for her friend. With the staff members wanting to cover up the incident, they told Kappa they were unsure where her friend could have gotten to. She ended up travelling back home by herself, no answers in sight.
Kappa is currently in the process of finding out what had happened on the fateful day and where her friend had disappeared to. That Lapras has never been seen again. Some speculate that it was never really there. Some speculate that it was a god that had been sent down to test the worth of the mortals. Nobody really knows what it could have been.
(I have a soft spot for Kappa, to be honest. I actually need to read your blog from the beginning to get the full picture. Definitely had to consider how her story could be translated to something that would work in my world.)

it had been a long day ruling over the kappa kingdom. Bowser was ready to retire to his quarters, where he new a certain green somebody would be waiting for him. He was always so cute, tucked into bed with his reading glasses perched on the tip of his furry mustache as he read his crime thriller novels, screaming at the big reveals. Well, that part was a bit annoying, especially when he was trying to sleep. But cute nonetheless. The way his eyes sparkles and his mustache twitched with glee. Truly, a sight to behold. Bowser pushed the door open to the master bedroom, ready to meet his lean green bean of a husband. And, althought green he may be, lean was not quite the word one would use to describe the hulking fellow who's stench plagued the room. No… this was not a lean green bean. this was a mean, green, fighting machine

The Genpei War and Germa
"Sequel" to my previous Genpei War parallel analysis post.
This one kind of goes into red string pinboard conspiracy, and not as straightforward as the Venus one. Final warning, this is kind of fanciful.
This is also in relation to my previous theory post about Germa possibly being connected to the ancient kingdom.
In mainstream Japanese storytelling, for centuries the Taira/Heike is almost always depicted as evil. Anything from corruption, destroying the nation by their evil deeds, even connections to evil spirits and all that. Naturally it's propagated by the Minamoto/Genji side.
In One Piece, I don't think there's that many entities who gets this "evil evil evil forever" reputation attached to them besides Germa. And based on my previous post, if the Genji side is World Government... there is some similarity there.
Besides, though they were defeated, the Taira weren't destroyed. There were still survivors who remained as smaller clans.
Among the so called descendants of the Taira was Oda Nobunaga, who I saw as the primary samurai parallel to Germa. And this could even branch off to even further conspiracies.
Survivors from the Ancient Kingdom founded or is generally part of Germa royalty.
Germa just wants to continue the "legacy" of the Ancient Kingdom, even if they're not actually personally tied to that kingdom by ancestry.
I'm not going to go that far yet, though. For now I just think Germa is a separate entity, but they know something about the void century and/or the ancient kingdom. Still, there is a connection there.
Also, I want to mention the exoskeleton.
I don't know if this is something I've mentioned before, but one of the conspiracies I had is that maybe the exoskeleton modifications were made based on or using the sea prism stones.
It might even explain why Sanji could block Kizaru's laser beam, since it was produced through Devil Fruit and not machine, and perhaps the exoskeleton can counteract that.
I don't believe we have seen any other example of what specifically happens if the Vinsmoke siblings faces fruit abilities. If it's embedded in the skin, then it's not 100% pure sea stone, so Big Mum and her children being able to touch the Vinsmoke siblings doesn't really mean much. It's like the sea stone shackles in Wano that only takes away special abilities, but doesn't really injure the person.
Well, as it were, I also had theorised that maybe the "sea prism stones" are actually the "exoskeleton" of some kind of ancient animal. My main theory is tortoise and lobster (in Japanese, tortoise shell is included in the broad category of "exoskeleton" too) due to the linguistic analysis (see above link). Since as of now it could be anything, though, crabs are among the list of possibilities.
So, in Japanese mythology, there is a certain water creature called "kappa" that is most commonly depicted as a reptilian creature with a tortoise shell.
Some legends said that kappa was the reincarnation of the Taira/Heike soldiers who drowned in the sea, when they were defeated in the sea battle in Dan no Ura.
Judge had alluded to the souls of the Germa ancestors having no land to rest. They may have originally died on land, if the Germa empire had land before, but if that land is gone they're then technically "lost at sea" now.
There is also a certain breed of crab whose shells are wrinkled in such a way that it kind of looks like a human face. Heikegani, it's called in Japan, because legend says they're also the incarnation of the ghosts of the Heike soldiers who died at sea.
Aside from the exoskeleton parallel, there's also that "ghosts of people who died at sea".
Even suppose I'm wrong, and the exoskeleton has nothing to do with sea stones, Germa still chose to call it "exoskeleton" and not something more straightforward like "iron skin". It still felt like a term that is connected to a still-hidden lore, and in this case, makes me think of the Taira clan.
Speaking of the souls of the dead. If you've ever heard that in Japanese mythology butterflies represent the soul of the dead, it was said to specifically refer to the swallowtail butterfly.
The same butterfly is the clan crest of the Taira, worn as a clothing motif by Oda Nobunaga, and in One Piece, it's the design inspiration of Reiju's raid suit.
You can see the swallowtail's iconic "tails" at the bottom of Reiju's wings there, and you can see how the zero motifs on the upper part of the wings somewhat resembles the circular patterning on the Japanese crest and design versioon of the butterfly. A real swallowtail butterfly does not have "spots" like that.
So again, another possible parallel.
But what is all this convoluted parallels supposed to mean? By the Genpei parallel, the "shogunate" is World Government.
The (supposed) lineage of the Taira nearly succeeded in toppling the shogunate system altogether, and wouldn't you know, it was 300 more years before the shogunate finally came down and the Emperor becomes the supreme ruler of the land again.
All this very convoluted parallel is to say, once again, the Germa empire of 300 years prior knew something very important that is needed for the plot. In which case, they're coming back, and pretty much because of that I think there's no need to worry about Sanji "turning evil".
His issue with the Vinsmokes is not over yet, even if he acts like it's all fine. I feel like he's going to have to confront them truly and properly one more time, and it would go against the theme of the story if it has a bad outcome. Why did we even have all the drama in Whole Cake if it's going to just go poof into nothing?
No matter how it plays out, I just think it will be fine. There'll be drama, angst, sadness, tension, but it will be fine.

You might've addressed this somewhere (or maybe not) but reading your polo lore made me think: are the different versions' polos separated somehow? Like, do they have some sort of singular version house (a building/villa where all Alive polos live in, for example) or are they present in the different geographic units you've shared before? I was wondering if the LM polos lived in something like a sorority house for some reason.
Short answer, yes! Let me explain:
Both The Original and Alpha are condensed into one person each, Scratch and Lead respectively. They lived with their adopted father Kenny until they both moved into the Saint-Étienne School of Music.
Lambda Mu(Little Miss), Sigma Rho(Sunrise), Tau Lambda(The Love), and Kappa Delta(Wekiddy) are all fraternities on SESM campus that live in their own houses on Frat Row. Alive is not a frat, but the campus technology/anime club. The don't have a house of their own, but they do use the house designated for all the campus clubs to use for meetings.
The Brazil Polos live in Brazil of course, specifically the capital of Brasilia. The Beats are a team of soccer players, the Effects are ordinary villagers, the Melodies are revelers celebrating La Fête de la Voix, and the Voices represent the indigenous population.
Jeevan takes place in India, which in Incredibox World is separated into four Kingdoms: Naarangee/Orange ruled by King Lead(northwest), Laal/Red under the rule of Prince String(northeast), Neela/Blue under King Taoung(southwest), and Hara/Green under King Djindr and eventually Queen Jeevan(southeast).
Dystopia is the strangest of them all, as it is its own separate planet from the rest. It was taken over by the Comulur and the rest we know from the bonuses/short film.
Hope that clears things up❤️

Wendy, privet!!!! I'm a big fan of yours from Russia, your comic once helped me get back on my feet at a difficult moment in my life. I love Kappa and Seiren with all my heart ❤️ Tell me, were you inspired by something when creating this story? Do your characters have prototypes? (I'm sorry if there are mistakes in the text 😅)
The first thing that inspired the idea was the little mermaid section in kingdom hearts lol. That feels like ages ago now.

Imber Rana!
The prince of the Diamonds Kingdom, and the former heir to the throne. However, since his brother, Kappa, was blessed by their Kingdom’s chosen God, Imber was removed as next in line, despite being raised his whole life to one day inherit the throne.
Although Imber has been overshadowed by his younger brother’s popularity, Imber has remained rather positive and kind… at least, on the outside. Imber truly does love his younger brother, but he can’t help feeling overlooked and unappreciated, even while he is running the kingdom from the background.

The many faces of John Quincy Adams based upon his portrait by John Singleton Copley.
In 1797, Abigail Adams, wife of John Adams, quite unexpectedly received a shipping case. It contained this portrait of her twenty-eight-year-old son by John Singleton Copley, which Mrs. Susanna Copley had asked her husband to paint as a gift for her old friend. Abigail was delighted, and she wrote to John Quincy Adams on June 23, 1797, “It is allowed to be as fine a portrait as ever was taken, and what renders it peculiarly valuable to me is the expression, the animation, the true Character which gives it so pleasing a likeness . . . It is most elegantly Framed, and is painted in a masterly manner. No present could have been more acceptable.” John and Abigail Adams had visited London in the 1780s and had become friends with the artist and his wife, and Copley had painted a full-length portrait of John Adams in 1783. Copley had also painted a likeness of Abigail Adams, daughter of John and Abigail Adams, probably at about the same time, which was subsequently destroyed by fire. John Quincy Adams responded to his mother in a letter dated July 29, 1797, enlightening her on the circumstances under which his portrait had been painted: "The history of the Portrait which you received last March was this. While I was here, the last time, Mr. Copley told me that Mrs. Copley had long been wishing to send you some token of her remembrance and regard, and thinking that a likeness of your Son, would answer the purpose, requested me to sit to him; which I did accordingly and he produced a very excellent picture, as you see. I had it framed in a manner which might correspond to the merit of the painting, and after I left this Country it was sent out by Mr. Copley. . . . It is therefore to the delicate politeness of Mr. and Mrs. Copley, that we are indebted for a present so flattering to me, and in your maternal kindness so acceptable to you. They are well, with all their family and continue to remember you with affection."
John Quincy Adams was serving as the United States Minister to the Netherlands in 1796 when he sat for Copley, having been appointed by President George Washington in 1794. He was resident in London for several months in 1795 and 1796 to conduct negotiations concerning the ratification of the Jay Treaty, which resolved many issues remaining from the American Revolution. Even though Adams was a relatively young man, he had been chosen for these important positions because of his extraordinary education and upbringing. Since he had often accompanied his father when he was sent to Europe on government business, the younger Adams had traveled to France, Spain, the Low Countries, England, the German States, Russia, and Sweden by the time he was seventeen. Often John Adams’s business required lengthy stays, and John Quincy Adams had therefore been enrolled in schools in Paris and Amsterdam. Back in the United States in 1786, Adams entered Harvard College, was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and graduated the following year. Subsequently he studied law in Newburyport, Massachusetts, and then began to practice law in Boston.
Adams recorded seven sittings for his portrait from February to April 1796. Two of the notations provide an elucidating glimpse into the experience of posing for Copley. On March 4 he wrote: “At Mr. Copley’s all the morning sitting for my picture. Conversation with him political, metaphysical, and critical. His opinions not accurate, but well meaning.” On March 28: “At Mr. Copley’s all morning, sitting again for my picture. Stayed there too long gazing at his Charles [Charles I ], and at a portrait of the three youngest princesses [The Three Youngest Daughters of King George III, 1785, Royal Collection, United Kingdom], a finely finished thing.”
In a stylish oval format, the portrait shows a rather debonair John Quincy Adams with powdered hair, dressed in a black frock coat with a white stock and a glimpse of a pink waistcoat. He is set against a red curtain and a crepuscular landscape. Copley carefully delineated Adams’s features but painted the costume and background with dashing and loose brushwork.
Shortly after the portrait was completed, Adams became engaged to Louisa Catherine Johnson in London. He went on to a brilliant political career, serving in the United States Senate, as Minister to Russia, as Minister to England, and as Secretary of State. In 1825 he was elected the sixth president of the United States, and after he lost his bid for re-election, he represented Plymouth, Massachusetts, in Congress for the rest of his life. Adams also went on to have his portrait painted by many of the leading artists of his day; in all he sat for at least sixty likenesses. Of all these portraits, Adams decided that “Copley’s Portrait of 1796, Stuart’s head of 1825, and Durand’s of 1836 . . . are the only ones worthy of being preserved.
