I’m just saying if they did make Muppets The Iliad, they couldn’t actually depict Achilles mowing Hector down and spearing him through the throat so instead how this would look is Animal dragging a very much alive Pepe the Prawn around in circles and laughing maniacally while an uncomfortable Kermit looks at the camera and does that face where the hand inside him clenches a little.

Okey, i started reading the iliad and here are some of my favourite things so far:

•Odysseus being done with agamemnons shit ( and calling himself the father of telemachus when everybody else sayse they are son of someone)

• Hector cursing Paris out for kidnapping Helen, starting a war and just existing

• King Priam sying to Helen:

" Come here, my dear daughter, come and sit next to me, you can see the first husband and the brother-in-law and the rest!

I do not blame you in any way, but the gods blame me, who brought the Achaean mercenary army on me."

This was during the fight between Paris and Menelaus

Saying "Diomedes is younger than Achilles" feels illegal but it's canon

(edit bc ppl keeps coming to that. After a convo in the notes and rechecking the exact line (that I quoted from memory) : the exact line says that Dio is "the youngest of us/here" (which doesn't include Achilles.) Diomedes still is very young, but so is Achilles
