Hello!
Since you've drawn Darius before, do you perhaps know of Cyrus the Great?
Yeah, I know him! Though, I'm not that well-researched on the guy. I know he was a real historical figure, and he's mentioned in the Bible. I think he's even in the "lost chapters of the Book of Daniel" too.
From what I remember, there’s a debate about whether Darius is the same as Cyrus, but there are some timeline issues involved.
"Darius the Mede is mentioned in the Book of Daniel as King of Babylon between Belshazzar and Cyrus the Great, but he is not known to secular history, and there is no space in the historical timeline between those two verified kings." I just took that from Wikipedia.
I think he’s sometimes called a placeholder regent in an attempt to fix the timeline issue...

the sexual tension between a king and his jester......
[image ID: two digital comic panel sketches in blue, both featuring king cyrus, a man with light shaggy hair and a beard, and wren, a jester with a sharp face, curly dark hair, and a goatee, both middle-aged. in both panels cyrus has wren by the front of the shirt, pulling him very close. in the first cyrus is angry and wren looks nervous. in the second cyrus is touching wren's chin and glacing at his mouth, and wren is biting his lip, excited, and both are blushing. end ID]

Sanhedrin, Rabbis & Trump
The religious leaders in Israel are looking for the Messiah. There is demand for a leader to solve global problems and bring about peace and justice.
Ezra 1:2 Thus says Cyrus king of Persia: All the kingdoms of the earth the LORD God of heaven has given me. And He has commanded me to build Him a house at Jerusalem which is in Judah. Let’s be up front and honest, there is an expectation for President Donald Trump to facilitate the building of the third Temple in Jerusalem. The Sanhedrin has previously connected the dots from King Cyrus to…

God's Hand in History: Isaiah 45 and the Rise of Cyrus
God’s Hand in History. The Rise of Cyrus of Persia God’s Hand shaped the journey of Israel’s history. The rise of Cyrus of Persia puts a sharp focus on the remarkable impact on the world from God’s Hand in the history of humankind as well as the Nation of Israel. In the enigmatic landscape of biblical prophecy, few passages resonate with the clarity and precision found in Isaiah 45. Within its…

Daniel and Cyrus and the Idol | Daniel 14: 1-4
When King Asty′ages was laid with his father, Cyrus the Persian received his kingdom. And Daniel was a companion of the king, and was the most honored of his friends.
Now the Babylonians had an idol called Bel, and every day they spent on it twelve bushels of fine flour and forty sheep and fifty gallons of wine. The king revered it and went every day to worship it. But Daniel worshiped his own God.
What is Bel and The Dragon
Bel and the Dragon is one of several additions to the book of Daniel. The original book of Daniel ends after chapter twelve. The extra material is found only in translations, such as the Septuagint, but not in the Masoretic Text. Bel and the Dragon is a later addition most likely derived from various legends and folk stories about Daniel. This non-canonical material includes chapter 13, known as the “Song of the Three Children”; chapter 14, known as “Susanna”; and chapter 15, known as “Bel and the Dragon.” The fifteenth chapter is a single narrative in three parts.
