Always great advice so posted again. If you’re not sure how to properly care for your skin, seek the advice of a professional - not some random blogger. Bloggers post what works for them and also what they’re paid to push! A skin care licensed professional (esthetician) is educated and intensely trained to identify what works for YOUR skin, and what does NOT work. Basic guidelines like “don’t sleep in your makeup” and “don’t over-exfoliate” apply to all skin. If you cannot afford monthly professional treatments, plan to visit once per quarter or whatever you can afford. Even if you only start out with an esthetician and garner solid skincare guidelines and you can’t return for 6 months, that ok because you will learn what to do at home. That’s so important! Let us lay the groundwork and you follow up with excellent daily home care. Sadly for @jenyu82, Big Ben was completely covered for maintenance & restoration. A little tongue in cheek humor was the display available for photo ops within the Palace of Westminster. Mitchell, Journal of Biological Chemistry 158, the brain and heart are composed of 73% water, and the lungs are about 83% water. The skin contains 64% water, muscles and kidneys are 79%, and even the bones are watery: 31%. #fridayflashback Summer is almost upon us - what’s your Get Fit Stay Fit plan? Beautiful Skin and a healthy body with high energy isn’t an impossible goal. Reaching your goal also doesn’t have to be complicated! Because you asked: I’ve never EVER counted calories; except when I rode a few races as a jockey I’ve never utilized a scale! I don’t use a long list of skincare products. What works for me is TARGETED skincare (gentle cleanser, vitamin C toner, stem cell w C Serum and moisturizer - all from my own IT intelligent treatment line) boosted with rotating monthly high tech treatments (IPL, @innopencrl Microneedling, LED, skintyte radio frequency, etc). I wear, from my own line, a Chemical FREE sunblock 365! I cool with but do not add salt to my food. I rarely eat bread at home and am about 70% gluten free at home. I limit my dairy at home to Lactaid 2% milk & non-processed cheese. I eat a LOT of fruit and veg PLUS drink a green juice packed w my own mix of powder supplements. More on that in a future post. I only eat red meat about once every 10-14 days and love mild fish. (Salmon baby here) and I’ve cut out a LOT of sugar, especially at home! I’ve gotten much better at drinking a good amount of water each day and strive to improve that. I purposely stay physically active daily. If I don’t have gym or Pilates time, I’ll be sure to walk vs take a cab, take the stairs instead of the elevator and STRETCH every day!!!! When I eat out, I eat EVERYTHING that I want and don’t have to worry about it 🙌🏼 Start by tweaking your home eating and drinking habits, stretch every day and start moving that body a little at a time.
