cobra kai rant incoming!!

i deleted one of my posts a few hours ago bc honestly, i feel like im spreading too much negativity related to cobra kai. and im tired of my cobra kai posts always being criticism when i love the show.

for the most part, part 2 is really good. that last episode is prob the best episode of cobra kai out there. that brawl and how it ended was such a plot twist and it made the school fight look like child’s play.

my prediction about devon supporting tory right away was true, but i wasn’t expecting the rest of the miyagi dos to understand right away so im happy about that. ALSO LOVED TO SEE KENNY! AND EVERYTHING HE DID!! tho i do admit i wish the binary bros apologized for how they treated him at first.

the sekai taikai was so enjoyable, the barcelona feels were so enjoyable, terry silver being back was so enjoyable (we all saw that coming lol) and lowkey thinking he used to crush on kreese.

im not a huge fan of miguel, but i hated him for a long time and its kinda tiring. he’s not that bad, the writers just don’t allow him to take accountability for his actions.

team miyagi do was so wholesome, particularly in episode 9, and i love how they hyped up robby as captain in the end.

rlly enjoyed kim x chozen, hoping they end up together in the end.

KWON DYING WAS SUCH A GOOD PLOT TWIST NOBODY SAW THAT COMING EVEN KREESE AND SILVER SHOWED SOME EMOTION!! THEIR BULLSHIT CAUSED A KID TO DIE!! COBRA KAI DIED BUT NOT IN THE WAY WE WOULDA THOUGHT!!

I get that everyone was shocked but I still think there’s something to be said about Daniel rushing to Kwon. First to protect Axel but then just to hope that Kwon’s okay. Like Daniel has always understood that these are just kids, despite his past hang up about Cobra Kai he’s still the first on scene because Kwon is a kid not just a Cobra Kai student.

Oh neat it actually made the link. For several years there was an extended sequence on vimeo from the Trollhunters episode, In Good Hands. One day and out the blue it was deleted and did not appear on Sung Eun Kim's new website though on the flipside three other brand new ones did? Was a shame though as the animatic even had scratch voices.

Guess what made it's reappearance complete with a new thumbnail :)

By sheer fluke managed to screenshot the same one. Now people will believe me when I say Gumm-Gumms riding stalklings that likely didn't happen due to budget/rigging issues... T'was real all along!

While cannot link directly unlike the above, you can see see the really blatant Stricklake thumbnail for the shorter/revised version which is closer to the final release.

Mini-review:

Wow, I didn't think I would enjoy The Frog so much. I guess I was in the mood for a dark, propulsive thriller. I've seen some people say it's 'slow', but like... where? This kept me glued to the screen from the very first episode, and it got more and more intense throughout the next ones. It even ventures into psychological horror territory from time to time, which made it even more fun to me. The writing isn't perfect (some of the characters aren't as well developed as they should), but the directing and the acting more than make up for it. Go Min Si turns in a particularly strong performance, and it's clear she gave it her all. I'm not gonna say this is the best thriller k-drama I've seen, but it was definitely enjoyable as hell.
