My Cheese Melt AU is an alternate series of events beginning in Kindred Spirits (in which Vlad never sends Dani to capture Danny, because he convinced himself that it would be a waste to get rid of a perfectly serviceable clone so quickly, leading directly into him getting so unreasonably attached to her that he forgets all about the original "perfect son" plan) which then turns into a Dani inclusive, family dynamic focused rewrite of season 3. (the fic series starts with spirits less than willing)

Dani is present for certain important canon episodes (currently Eye For An Eye, Urban Jungle, and Living Large are the ones I've fleshed out) but she also gets episodes about her. Such as her first day at school, her obligatory identity crisis episode in which she recruits Sam and Tucker to help find her some hobbies and interests that are sufficiently different from anything Danny or Vlad likes, and Aloha From the Other Side, the vacation episode where her dad breaks Hawaii by simply being Vlad. Overall, she's a sweet kid who hilariously has a better moral compass than Danny and Vlad combined, but she also has INCREDIBLE capacity to be worse than both of them, if the situation calls for it. Her arcs focus on self discovery/identity, the looming threat of destabilization, and her relationships with Vlad and Danny.

Danny's relationship with Dani is more complex in this AU, because he doesn't trust "Vlad's daughter" at all at first. It doesn't help that the first time he meets her is in Eye For An Eye, right after sending the GIW to destroy Vlad's (and Dani's!) house. And now, Vlad is obnoxiously hellbent on replacing him with "Ellie Phantom" as the protector of Amity Park! But after Dani proves she has a mind of her own and hasn't been completely brainwashed by Vlad, and doesn't necessarily approve of his villainy, Danny shifts from animosity more toward concern for her. He knows Vlad well enough to realize that he's inevitably going to break her heart, and Danny is going to be there to protect her when it happens. (But what Danny doesn't know is that Vlad already broke Dani's heart when she discovered the truth about his initial plans for her before they moved to Amity Park. He saved her life in a fit of petulant guilt immediately after to make up for it, which is why she's still with him.)

And then there's Vlad himself. It would be helpful to think of his arc here as less of a redemption arc, and more of a domestication arc. Vlad is still a supervillain and Danny's arch enemy, but because of his parental attachment to Danielle his antagonist status is just as likely to be seen in him hauling Danny back to FentonWorks by the ankles because it's past his bedtime as it is in his latest cringefail brilliant scheme. In general, he finds himself in increasingly mundane situations by virtue of being involved in Dani's life, which generally results in comedy because Vlad is anything but equipped to handle parenthood (or mundane situations) normally. He's also allowed to have a rare reflective moment now and again and generally be a little more layered than just a villain. There's also increased opportunity for temporary allyships, because Vlad and Danny agree on Only One Thing: Dani is to be protected at all costs.

It turns out that dinner at Nick’s parents’ house is not just them and his mom and dad. There’s a bunch of Nick’s relatives there too: aunties, uncles, little cousins running around, and maybe even some neighbors. There’s a tent set up outside in their yard and plastic party tables and chairs and everything. 

“You said this was a family dinner,” he whispered to Nick after he’d gotten introduced to everyone. 

“This is a family dinner.” Nick smiled back, like he didn’t see the problem at all, but with the look in his eyes Cole could tell he was a little pleased to have caught him off guard like this. “You like people. Besides, you better get used to it. This is how we are here.” 

One of the little kids had run up to Nick, calling him Uncle, and Nick pointed them to the cooler that was filled with cans of juice. 

Cole still wasn’t used to seeing Nick like this, completely at ease in a way that he never seemed to be except on the ice. He looked like everyone else that seemed to live here, at least from what Cole had seen so far even in the brief time he’d been here. Tonight he wore an aloha shirt that was in a pale blue and white pattern, light khaki shorts, and another pair of flip flops. Slippers. Nick was already trying to train it out of him. 

“I can’t be having you around me and sounding like a haole.” 

“But I am a haole.” Cole had laughed at him in the car, when Nick was trying to teach him how to say Hawai’i properly. 

“No, but if you’re gonna live here at least play the part.” Nick shook his head, but a smile stretched across his face. He grew serious a moment later. “I want the fans to at least feel like the mainland guys are putting in the effort you know? Like they really wanna be a part of the community here, not just play hockey and collect their paycheck. If we’re going to have success here, they’ve gotta accept us and we’ve gotta accept them.” 

Cole was kind of breathless at that. He knew Nick cared a lot about his home, where he’d come from, where he first learned how to skate and play hockey before having to leave it to continue to play. But he’d never heard him so openly serious about it before.

[Curry Carnivore AU - CWS: Mild Body Horror, Distress, Mild Language]

The morning of the first strike was one that Aloha sure as hell didn't want to remember, but the events all too easily came to mind. Even when his arm was recovered and fully grown back, the pain that morning would match even his most painful wipeouts.

The morning was foggy and so was Aloha's mind as he awoke slowly in his ruffled bed. Well, he was awakening slowly, until the dull pain in his left arm came through that haze and thoroughly shot through his nerves. What? What had happened? Aloha's eyes opened wide, sleepiness still in his eyes as he pulled himself to sit up, using one arm to feel over where the pain was, only to find... There was no arm there.

The pink inkling blinked, taking a moment to process before adrenaline finally sunk into his system. His arm was- it was GONE? Like, GONE gone. No way... How?! It was even bandaged, too... What kind of madman would do this?! Aloha waved his hand where his arm would normally be, trying to figure out if he was hallucinating or if there was some kind of illusion going on. Nope. Nothing like that. His arm was actually missing. And whoever had the gall and disturbed mind to do this had half a thought to patch him up. His ink didn't even stain the bedsheets...

The distressed partier would reach to his phone on his nightstand, still plugged in from last night and thankfully charged. Opening up his phone, he'd scroll through his contacts as fast as he could to find one of his teammates- Snorkel. He's practically always up. And if not, his phone wakes him up.

It's a good thing he usually texts with one hand to impress the girls, though that didn't keep the agony from keeping his hand steady and his head clear. There's no way he would be able to type right, so he wouldn't.

Suave persona put aside, not that Snorkel would really care, there's be the smallest tinge of relief as he saw that his teammate was typing up a response.

But, on the opposite hand that he didn't have, he'd be seen by plenty more inkfish. There wasn't much time to debate the thought on if Aloha wanted that or not.

The inkling would shudder, eyes closing shut to feel the dreaded throbbing pain of his wound. This is so... So fucked up. Uncaring of his misspellings, he'd send his next few messages with urgency, silently apologizing for the distress he'd cause to Snorkel... And very likely, the rest of his team.

Aloha's pink eyes would tremble as he watched the elipses that denoted his friend typing. There was a weak laugh that faded into a groan. He hated this. He hated feeling like this. He felt... Helpless. Unsafe. The inkling could feel his head start to spin from the stress of his own room not being protected enough to keep an arm-chopping inkfish out, barely holding himself together by means of his teammate on the line- who responded fast. Clearly the concern was rising.

Aloha would sift through his phone apps, quickly finding and opening the camera app. He raised his working arm, taking a selfie with his the arm he still had. He wish he could give a peace sign like he usually would, but... Hey. Can't really have peace with a missing arm, right? The image made him look pale- sickly, even. Ugh... So unflattering. Not even filters would fix him at this point.

Snorkel had sent multiple concerned messages by the time the injured had sent the image of his current condition, though they weren't read as Aloha was more pressed on showing what's happened to him. With the image sent, he could only wait with his chest tight as he watched his phone screen intently.

Aloha would given a shaken sigh as he pulled his legs to his chest, trying to wrap his arms- well, arm- around his legs and finding it more awkward than helpful. Even so, he stayed that way.

Thinking it’s kinda funny that Floyd and Riddle mushed together makes a word in the dictionary. Florid.

Anyways Florid thoughts and HCs, mostly future stuff

In the forms of the ship I’ve seen, it’s always Floyd who falls for Riddle first. It makes sense, considering how he seeks Riddle out without Riddle doing the same to him. The scenario of Riddle taking romantic interest first would be interesting, just kinda hard (or you have to set up a lot) to pull off convincingly in my opinion.

It’s very fun to think of the development of the relationship as a sort of push and pull from both parties. They take a step forward, only to fall back because of a comment or action. Only until they come to more of an understanding of each other that they pull more than push.

I know from the times I see Riddle in casual wear he’s dressed fancily while Floyd is more lax (aloha shirt Floyd is ever present, especially for future AU). But c’mon, Floyd is interested in fashion, he’ll happily experiment and help Riddle do too. Let’s go try stuff out Goldfishie~

Someone (or both of them) DEFINITELY has to go through character development if they become a couple long-term. Otherwise they would tear each other apart and become a shitshow.

Floyd feels like the type to just wrap his arms around someone (shoulders, waist, whatever’s more comfortable) and poke over their shoulder to look at what they’re doing. Riddle likes the physical contact, but takes some issue with it if Floyd braces his entire weight on him.

For future AU, as much as I hate drawing that sort of style, Floyd strikes me as someone who has his hair slicked back. Riddle…hmm. I can see his side-bang being tucked back like his suitor outfit, but I prefer him growing his hair out long enough to make a braid or bun (think Artori/a from Fate or Violet from Violet E/vergarden). Either way, they brush and do each other’s hair on occasion.

Speaking of which, the future AU I share with my besties, Riddle is an advising lawyer (not sure which category, but if I remember correctly I was leaning toward criminal defense) while Floyd is mostly a househusband (super funny to think about) who occasionally takes jobs from Jade for the Leech business. Floyd calls it commission work (which is how they file it in taxes) and Riddle takes a deep sigh.

Like to think that they live on the coast in the Queendom in the future. Beachy.

I have NO IDEA if the horses in equestrian club belong to NRC, but fuck it we ball. Vorpal come here, let’s rent a stall in a nice barn for you that we can visit. Not surprised if Florid ends up with a lot of pets in their care, they would probably keep hedgehogs.

Riddle has a Ebenezer Scrouge nightgown he goes to bed in. That or pajama sets. Snork, mimimimi. Floyd dresses in whatever the fuck to sleep. Either way Floyd is either squeezing Riddle like a teddy bear or taking up the entire bed.

I like to think that it’s traditional wear for young girls in the Queendom is wear dresses similar to the iconic Alice dress. If Florid has daughters, Riddle is going to put them in those dresses (it’s nostalgic for him to see when combined with the trans HC).

Floyd would for sure do that thing where you toss kids up in the air to catch them. Riddle isn’t too pleased if he goes too high.

If they get a big bed with space underneath the frame, definitely feel like if they have kids those kids will squeeze under there themselves. Eels like dark, small spaces, just look at how they’ll pile up in a tube or pipe. Grabs a dad’s ankle, the little gremlins.

Another part of my Au to many almost or finished art from my phone of this AU I made. Zoroark mist is purple cuz shiny. I am writing part 2 of my ramble because yes. Satoshi is in Aloha like so confused like " I was in the Abalaster ice lands how did this happen? At least my friends are alive." He puts on his human illusion (he kinda sometimes forget that it's him when he didnt get Zoroark, some days he thinks someone he cared about.) Gary, Goh, Rei, and Ingo are in Aloha for finding out about Ultra wormholes as that's probably how they appeared in the lab. ( it was a time space rift stupid kids) Ingo has one of Lady Sneasler's babies because how else do you think they fell into the random rift baby sneasel wanted to play in snow but tripped on her foot. Satoshi wanders until he's at a familiar building the Pokemon school, he wanders in walking around until he is at the doorway of Professer Kukui's class, part of him wondered "why am I here its just a classroom what ever that is" and leaves going outside where the class was, with Kiawe challenged Gary to a pokemon battle because Gary is Ash's first rival. Gary wins and Ingo ends up yelling " Super Bravo!" Catching the Sun and moon gang off guard. Which Satoshi realize, Rei and Warden Ingo didn't die falling off a cliff in the Highlands but ended up in the future and stepped forward a bit slowly only to step on a stick which everyone turns their head towards him. Why are they just standing their looking at him do they see through the illusion, oh wait he's panicking just act natural. " Hello there, Warden Ingo, Rei." Rei's eyes light up and says " Warden Satoshi!" In which Gary's head is lining up images of Ash and Warden Satoshi, and the faces match if Ash had insomnia and longer hair. Warden Ingo is giving Satoshi the stink eye because a lot of Hisuian Zoroark tried to prey on him with the form of Emmet and didnt Satoshi die all the way in Hisui? Ingo then ask " If you are Warden Satoshi, then." Warden Ingo glared. " How did you get back from Hisui?" Satoshi grinded. " I didn't." The illusion faltered a little showing a bit of mist and his real colors. " I waited a few hundred years after, then I le-"

As an eldritch immortal being, does Woo have an intimate understanding for why mortality makes humans makes humans? Or does he have to wait until you come into the picture?

I can very much see him and many of the other monsters not having a care for mortal beings (whether human, animal or other monsters that simply lack longevity) because they don’t understand the sacredness that comes with mortality.

I was a huge pjo fan back in elementary so when their more recent books came out I found it interesting (basically Apollo is turned into a mortal as punishment by Zeus) and wonder how well some of the monsters could handle having to experience the human life.

Finding a life, falling in love, possibly having a family (whether found or created) and finally realizing that this isn’t something permanent but rather temporary because mortals suffer from the kids of death whilst many immortal beings find loopholes around it.

I feel like Woo would be one of them that as he’s living the mortal life, he be so busy missing and whining about losing his immortality for a bit that he doesn’t understand the preciousness of mortality until he’s possibly faced with you or a friend dying.

Oh he knows. Woo is technically the oldest of the bunch here in Ataraxia verse, he's been around for eons at this point. Destroyed a few planets, created a few along the way. He's kind of at this point where his personality aligns more with the Wooyoung we're all familiar with, where he's chaotic in an endearing way, only flexing his omnipotent power when he needs to because it gets quite tiring being something everyone is absolutely terrified of and unable to even speak to. So he's aware of the ins and outs of human nature and honestly its impossible to lie to him or deceive him in any way. Whoo needs a lie detector when you have Eldrich Wooyoung vibe checking you?

Hongjoong probably has the most intimate understanding of humans and their mortal natures. I've kind of hinted at it, but without giving too many details, he used to be one himself. He doesn't exactly have the best outlook when it comes to humans and their natures for reasons, but he does understand them a lot better than anyone else..

I never read any of them but I've heard snips here and there from audiobooks gaia and her mom plays in the car of the pjo and ma series, so I definitely think its a very interesting concept to explore through story telling.

That trope always hurt my little heart in media hrrrrrrrngh. Its realistic and very valid but I think that's why my little gremlin ass always ends up doing transformations of their partners because owwie, fuck me.

Woo would def be the most affected by losing his immortal status. He's had wounds, many that would be considered mortal, been torn to pieces in conflicts up in the cosmos and then formed back together as whole. If he ever lost the ability to do that, or even the ability to regen, I think he'd fall the hell apart, quite honestly. He's like the rich kid of the bunch, he doesn't have an empathetic grasp on the severity of one's mortality.

It started off as a novelty web-series about Tony trying to convince Bucky about the existence of the supernatural—he firmly believed that if science could turn Uncle Steve from an actual shrimp to the god of muscles, then magic had to be out there—and then they’d started talking about an unsolved crime from the early 20th century after filming an episode one day, forgetting that the camera was still rolling, and had ended up with enough footage to make a second episode about real crimes. They had stayed pretty unknown throughout that first season but then true crime podcasts had exploded in popularity and Unsolved along with them.

Steve startled at the sudden comment from the row of chairs behind him and turned around. He’d been passing the time in the airport lounge by swiping through Tinder and had gotten lost in his own world. It was almost jarring to be pulled away from the screen of hot men and back into reality where the PA was screeching and there was noise everywhere.

Adjusting to the difference, Steve frowned. Wait, he knew that face. Oh, shit… he knew that face.

“No, no, it’s fine,” the man said before Steve could get out anything other than an embarrassed sort of yelp. Waving his hand through the air, the stranger smiled ruefully. “I get it. It’s the beard, isn’t it? True be told, it was a weird winter choice that year and I knew it would come back to hurt me.”

Steve didn’t know what to say. He knew it must have shown on his face and could feel himself flushing, panicked and embarrassed all at once. What were the odds of swiping left on someone literally sat behind him?

Next to him, he feels Steve's shoulders stiffen in surprise.

Howard's fist slams loud on the table. "Your husband does not even love you!"

Tony jerks back, burned. He knows that. Knows that Steve did not marry him for love – does not need any reminder of the cold truth, of what he desperately yearns for and can't even hope to have – but the harshness of Howard's words was scalding, and Tony can't afford for this to go any further.

"NO!-" Avi cried. He reached out, trying to pull Skull back to safety.

Skull just ran into the battlefield, sword drawn. It felt unnatural in his hands. He was an archer, not a swordfighter. But he had no choice- he had to defend his family

He drove his sword through the chest of the haunt, tearing it out and then facing the giant Drauven.

"THUVAYN!" Skull called. "I'm who you want! Leave Army alone!"

The warlord turned to face Skull, snarling and not speaking a word. He ran from Army, sword drawn and ready to fight Skull. The hunter gripped his sword, his face as calm as ever.

Thuvayn slashed his sword at Skull. He just managed to block it- the blade grazed his shoulder. Which meant there was a large gash. Skull mustered as much strength as he could and forced the blade away, only for Thuvayn to strike Skull's leg, slicing it clean off. He screamed, and as the Drauven raised his sword, Avi raced over with his shield, bashing the sword into its chin. "Army, now!"

Army took a deep breath, before summoning a tower of flame, burning the warlord to a crisp. Avi sighed in relief, before clutching onto Skull.

"No.." He whispered. "Nonononono... Please.." A sob wracked through him. "Skull- stay with me..."

Skull reached his undamaged arm up. "A-Avi..."

Avi took his hand, kissing the back of it. "I'm here. I'm here, Skull. Don't close your eyes, please- We'll get you to Prince and xe can heal you. Stay with me..."

"...I-I've never felt at h-home, before." Skull started. "B-but, I think I a-am now..."

"Keep talking, stay awake...please..." Avi pleaded.

Army ran up, staff gripped in his hands. "Should I-"

"Get Prince." Avi near commanded. "Please."

The mystic nodded, running off. The warrior clutched onto Skull.

"...You want to finish your thought, love?"

"W-with you," Skull continued, voice weak. "I f-feel... safe. I'm a-at home, with you by my s-side..."

Avi allowed himself a small smile. "You're safe... I'm never gonna let anything harm you again. Okay..?" He gently ran his fingers through Skull's hair. "You're gonna live, and... and we're gonna go home, and we're going to be alright. We'll raise Sucre, and she'll tell stories of how strong her mama is..."

Skull gave a weak chuckle. "W-We both know, that c-can't happen. A-Avi, I'm s-so tired... I don't t-think I'm gonna make it.."

"Don't say that, Skull." Avi said, holding Skull close. "You're not dying, you're not gonna die... I'm going to keep you safe and alive. Prince is on xyr way. Just try to make it...Please stay for me..."

"I'll t-try..."

Avi gently embraced Skull, not caring that he was getting covered in blood. "I love you." He muttered. "I love you so much..."

But Skull was silent. He was breathing, alive, but silent.

Footsteps approached. Army and Prince.

It was a blur, to Avi. He handed Skull over to the mystic in white, who set him in a cart.

"I can keep him alive long enough to get to my tower." Prince said. "D1git and I- we can heal him then. You head home, someone needs to watch your kids."

Avi watched, as Prince hopped onto the horse, riding off with the cart-and Skull-in tow.

He doesn't know how he ended up at home. Only that he was sleeping in a bed with no one else for the first time in years.

Sucre noticed Avi's shift in mood, as much as he tried to hide it for her. She brought home crafts from school for him, she tried to cheer him up. It helped, somewhat. There was so much of Skull in her.

Aloha and Mask also noticed- Avi's excuse of "He needed to go and fight an incursion" didn't work on them. Especially when Army came home shaking in almost fear.

That was the norm, for a few weeks.

It happened on a day when Aloha and Mask took Sucre out on a hunt.

Avi was trying to do something productive- he was tending to Skull's garden. He was going to miss the lilac blooms, if he took much longer to heal. He'd already missed the bulk of the cherry blossoms.

He saw a cart coming down the road. Nothing big- they were on a route used by traders constantly. But what he did see, was the greying blonde hairs of the old crow, Emperor. Avi's heart sank. Was he here to deliver news of Skull's death?

But then there was a miracle. Avi set down his shovel to go and greet Emperor and receive the bad news. Instead Emperor tapped something in the cart with his talons. "Prince, can you wake him up?"

Wake who up? Avi thought, suddenly noticing the mystic.

Prince seemed to whisper something, and... and someone sat up in the cart. His purple hair in a long braid, and his face had an adorable sleepy expression.

It was Skull.

Avi smiled, and then grinned. "Skull!" He called, estatic.

The archer turned to look at Avi, and his eyes widened. "Avi!"

The warrior ran over, hugging Skull as well as he could. "You're alive..."

Skull smiled, rubbing Avi's upper back. "That's right, I'm here, and I'm alive... You were right, Avi. I lived.."

Avi buried his face in Skull's chest, a sob wracking through his body. Skull was alive. He was alright!

"Let's get you home..."

Avi picked Skull up from the cart, and was... a bit surprised to feel wood in the place of one of his legs. But he didn't care. Skull was alive.

He nodded a thanks to Prince and Emperor, and carried his love inside the lodge, and brought him to their room.

Avi set Skull down on the bed, and flopped down next to him, hugging him tightly. "You're alive..."

"I didn't want to leave you..." Skull replied. "You can bake, but can't cook. I didn't want you to starve.."

Avi laughed, kissing Skull's forehead.

"I love you, Skull.."

"I love you too, Avi..."

What are some favorite memories of the future au kids?

Bruce

Playing in the snow with his siblings. Dai Tai and Olevia bundled them all up like swollen marshmallows so they kept falling down and laughing the whole time. They rolled each other down small hills and belly bumped to knock each other down.

Biyu tending to him after he stepped on a nail and got it stuck in his foot. She had carried him the whole day and made him feel better by giving him tight squishy hugs. Biyu even let him sit on the counter while she cooked and let him sample the food.

Flying for the first time. He was four years old and Olevia held his hand while they looked at the city from a bird's eye view. When they crossed over the ocean he touched a passing whale and laughed when it sprayed him with water.

Cindy

Getting dressed up for a huge party with Dai Tai, Olevia, Nia and Jia. They did her hair and painted her nails and picked out a pretty dress and accessories for her to wear while laughing and bonding. Cindy felt like a pretty princess, happy to be spoiled and acknowledged.

Riding her motorcycle with AJ through the city for the first time. AJ had chosen a scenic route for them to take at night and said that he was proud of her for not clamming up or falling off. She acted brave even when she was afraid and had fun the whole night.

Going to a lantern festival with JJ in Sooga Village. The city was all lit up and full of game stalls on every street and they enjoyed all of the food. At the end they took a boat ride on the lit up water and went back home holding hands.

Dylan

Laying in a beach hammock with Dai Tai while she sang Aloha Oe to him. He kept asking her to sing it over and over until he could learn the words for himself. By sunset he had memorized it and they sang it together.

Field Day at his school, specifically the baton relay because his class chose him as the last one to run. He won the relay for his team and his classmates gave him all of their school lunches as a reward.

Catching fish with Grandpa Abyo. Instead of using a fishing rod he straight up jumped in the water and tried catching them with his hands. Abyo thought it was hilarious and joined him. They brought home a lot of fish that day.

Rain

When she was sick and AJ stayed with her the whole day to take care of her. They watched whatever movie that she wanted and she made sure to pick his favorites too. Grandma April made an entire pot of her favorite stew just for her.

Touring around Mewni with Astro. He showed her all of the sights and all of the places that she could climb and run across. Astro also showed her how to sneak in and out of Waterfolk Castle and the best places to hide within it (and how to mess with Hody without getting caught).

Playing Tinkerbell in a school play with Mei (as Wendy). She had a lot of fun and flew around the stage for the full affect, and her family was really surprised that she could go such a long time without uttering a single word. Jia made her Tinkerbell costume and she loved it so much that she wore it many times after.

DJ

Going to Disney World for the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction with his family. The pirates all complimented his attire and especially his coat. He was full of pride for the entire day and gave a high five to Jack Sparrow.

Helping Jia create one of many safe haven dimensions. Under her guidance he terraformed an entire planet and established water and a breathable atmosphere. They worked hard on the dimension for weeks at a time and he was happy to share the moment with her.

Meeting his future self. They hung out in a pocket dimension and talked the whole time, older DJ giving the younger DJ advice and tips on his powers and general things. DJ was told to keep it a secret but of course he bragged to Dawn, Dusk and Rain about it (they don't believe him though).

VAMPIRE AU! VAMPIRE AU!

it's more of a mythical beast au as there are mermaids but. only mermaids and vampires.

S4+ Avi, Vintage, and OC centric, with a focus on Aviskull

ill go more into the characters later when asked, but here's my own lore for this, along with whos what. If needed I'll trigger anything asked but there's mentions of violence, blood (of course), and throwing up. Also, human(ish?) au! At least, they're not cephalings

-First of all, Vampires are not immortal. They can age and die of age. But, they are immune to blood-spread disease (including those spread by mosquitoes) and are resistant to a lot of pain, but they can still feel it.

-Also, they can use blood substitutes in a pinch, such as coconut water or a special fruit known as a Blood Apple. If they share qualities with a bat- since vampires are very diverse in this- different types of nectar also work as some bats are pollinators

-Some Vampires can stomach human food, others will throw it up soon after eating if there's not blood somehow ingested with it

-Anyways, Skull's a vampire who was very traumatized from his turning (which happened when he was 5) and also loosing his leg at around the same time. He thought that if he starved himself of blood, he'd become normal but he instead ended up attacking Avi in a brutal frenzy. He didn't kill him, but Avi was hospitalized. Skull hated himself for it, Avi didn't blame him and instead, as they grew up (and also fell in love), he decided to help Skull control his thirst as much as posible

-Watersplat, my partner's OC and Skull's twin sister, embraced her vampiric powers and took to becoming a master vampire. Also she married Vintage, who's Just Some Guy who loves his scary vampire wife

-Aloha, Mask, and Army are all teens. Aloha and Mask were adopted by Skull- Aloha's a mermaid who was bounced around foster care for a while, and Mask is a vampire who could care less about their powers, focusing on coding and hacking. Army is Aloha's boyfriend, and was kicked out for being trans. So, Skull took him in. Later, Army asked to be turned into a vampire in order to defend himself from bullies. Skull agreed, reluctantly.

-Off to the side but still there- Emperor, Prince, and Regent are all vampires (Prince and Regent being the grade just under the s4 kids), Gloves is a mermaid, Goggles is also a mermaid and he's married to Rider and they have a son together named Pilot
