Democrats in the Arizona legislature are trying to get rid of the 1864 state abortion ban but majority Republicans keep blocking them.
AZ House Republicans block Dems from repealing Civil War-era abortion ban The GOP contends any change would be rushed, Dems contend they've been making attempts to repeal for years
This is probably just a coincidence... 😉
At the Center for Politics at the University of Virginia Prof. Larry J. Sabato's Crystal Ball has changed its ratings for the open Arizona seat in the US Senate seat and for one US House seat in the state.

I love me some one-sided kevjean, but I want that to be in the flashbacks. I want Jean to be cursing his younger self for loving Kevin. In TSC, I want Jean to be the #1 Kevin hater. I want the one-sided love to turn into one-sided beef. I want Kevin to be chilling at PSU, minding his business, while Jean is trying to explode him with his mind from across the country.

do you think riko considered himself god and do you think he thought of kevin as his greatest creation and do you think after he destroyed his hand he justified it as a sacrifice that had to be done and do you think in his mind he cradled the idea of kevin in his arms like mary cradles jesus’ corpse in pietà or are you normal

Y'know the thing with traumatized characters when they start growing out their hair to symbolize them healing?
That could apply to a lot of AFTG characters but the ones I personally thought applied the most was: Neil, Jean, and Kevin.
Neil, for the benefit furthering his looks from Nathan. Jean, because away from the controlling environment of the Nest (& Riko) it would be one of the first choices he could make with his appearance. And Kevin, because either embracing more feminine things or leaning into the headcanon of Kev having Native Roots on Wymack's side. Would be fun and cool.

many people have spoken on how Kevin Can F**k Himself shines a brilliant light on how many of the gags on which manbaby husband sitcoms revolve are actually abusive relationship warning signs dolled up with a laugh track; I couldn't say it better than it's already been said, so I want to talk about something else I love about the show:
THE LIGHTING.
KCFH tells the story of a sitcom husband's miserable wife and her journey to get rid of him by weaving scenes filmed in the brightly-lit, three-walled set, three camera setup of the sitcom genre with scenes filmed in the single-camera TV drama style, with more somber lighting that nonetheless retains scene and character visibility for the audience throughout. The differences in palettes and film techniques help the storyline snap between a distinct 'sitcom world' and 'reality,' frequently at a whiplash-inducing pace.
And the show maintains visibility throughout. You get to see the cast wander around at night at various parts in the storyline, and you also get to see everyone spend the majority of one episode navigating a citywide blackout. And by 'see' I mean YOU CAN ACTUALLY SEE THEM, the lighting is such that you can tell the characters don't have much in terms of visibility, but the character's inability to see shit is not also inflicted on the audience. This is something I was beginning to fear was a lost art. one million kudos, standing ovation, tears in my eyes, i'm throwing roses

incorrect star wars: anakin whenever he has to account for his latest war crimes “I shouldn’t have to ask you to lie for me. I shouldn’t have to ask your permission to put you in my lie. You know why? Cause you’re my best fuckin’ friend, bitch. That’s your job.”

What I love very much about the Kevin/Wymack father and son reveal is that Wymack is just.... a very good man, and we knew that already because of the way he treats Neil, but it hits harder when Jean spells it out in TSC.
He didn't help Kevin because he was Kevin Day and there might still be value in that. He didn't help him because he was Kyleigh's son. He did it because that's what he would do for a Raven completely unrelated to Kayleigh (Jean) or a mere nobody (Neil or Andrew). And he does it with genuine care, even - especially - when it's not in his interest and even puts him in a precarious situation so it cannot be a publicity stunt for gain.
Most of his life, Kevin saw the Moriyamas as his only other family. He has a certain taught (and quite disfavorable) perception of Wymack and he only turns to him when the Moriyamas do the worst to him, so whoever Wymack turns out to be, it cannot get worse than that. He goes to him offering something, because of course one has to pay/offer value in exchange for any consideration even from "family" - he doesn't play the "son" card. He doesn't yet know he might play again, so he offers knowledge as an assistant coach.
And by the time Kevin is bold enough to say the word "son" he's seen Wymack help a "nobody" even when it was more trouble than benefit, even after it turned out he was "someone" in a bad way (and here there are at least SOME benefits), and he's seen him helping Jean (who is "someone") without any attempt to turn it into his own benefit (no attempt to make Jean a Fox, just offering unquestionable help without expectations).
When Kevin finally says "I should have gone to my father then (when he found out)" it's not what he would have believed then, but what he's learnt later. From grovelling all his life so the Moriyamas would give him these icy crumbles of "family" as long as he did as asked and watched his steps, to Wymack supporting whatever Kevin needed from day 1, no strings attached. "You want to be an assistant coach, will support that. You vouch for this nobody, will support that. You want to play again, will support that. You don't want them to take you back, will fight that."
All his life, Kevin was made to believe it doesn't get any better than what the Moriyamas offer him (at a high cost). The validation he eventually meets with by taking the risk of leaving them in favour of just anything else is just so damn satisfying.

Knowing Kevin begged Riko to be a history major with him, I bet classes were hell for him (riko) after Kevin left.
That makes me smile
