First of all, none of these internet-bros seem to have taken speech and debate or know how to actually engage in a structured argument. I'm so serious, if you bring a white supremacist on your show or podcast for a 'debate' all you're doing is lending validity to their position and giving them a space to spew their bullshit ideology, you're legitimizing an illegitimate argument by engaging with it as if it's not total bullshit. If someone says 'I think trans people are literal Satan Incarnate sent here to destroy American Democracy and the nuclear family' or 'Homelessness should be a crime so we can put them in jail and use them for labor' or something similarly fucking heinous and ridiculous and your response is 'well let's discuss that-' instead of 'bro shut the fuck up, that horrible, what the hell is wrong with you??' you're contributing to the fucking problem whether you think you are or not.
