1, 6, 9, 22 for the ask game? :3
1. siffrin x2 but also while i'm here loop is fantastic too, big fan of the loop
6. hey, i'm you, i failed. don't be me. do better. please
9. i would wish for all mosquitoes to be deleted from existence forever (dodges the question again /silly)
22. oh this one's really interesting - i think i'd probably be a paper type mainly! with a few scissors attacks though, as a treat. i think i'd probably have pretty straightforward names (i tend to be a fairly straightforward person), and they'd be named something along the lines of
generic paper attack called 'Color Burst', deals decent paper damage to one enemy
generic scissors attack called 'Ki-ken-tai-ichi', deals big scissors damage to one enemy with a very high crit chance
aoe paper attack called "Song and Strike," deals paper damage to all enemies with a chance of debuffing them (slowing them down).
also i would have a katana. i make the rules and i say i have a katana

DAY 5 - sacrifice / will of fire / pure lands
Reunite with that which makes you whole
Collaboration with the amazing @maphel-n-doodles, who drew the second wonderful half of this comic ♡
Instead of being crossed left side over right, Kawarama's kendogi is crossed right side over left, as that is the custom to dress the deceased. They are meeting in the afterlife, after all :')

He pulled his legs up against his chest and hugged them, watching him silently. The way Toji delicately treated the tantō and polished it with gentle movements.
Suddenly, he wanted to jump on him and shake him. Grab him by the navy blue kendogi and make him wake up from that fucking automaton dream. It was stupid.
Since they had met, Toji had smiled a couple of times. He'd even laughed, dammit. He could swore he took care of him sometimes, and Satoru felt safe next to him. However, the rest of the time...
“Do you even have feelings?”
"I wish I didn't have them." Toji put the dagger back in its sheath and handed it back to him harshly.
“Why?” Satoru put the tantō to one side, attentive.
“Because weapons don't feel.”
Toji had always done his job well. Every mission had been successfully executed, every reward had been worthily collected. He had lost count of the murders, the robberies and the chases, of all the roles he had to play to get what he wanted.
They had raised him by tearing every bit of him out of him, just like they did with all the shinobi of Iga. Nothing mattered if it wasn't his job.
“Feelings, emotions, make you lose your mind and make hasty decisions. They consume you and then leave you stranded, because they are nothing more than an illusion. What you feel is not what you see," he explained. “It's a filter.”
Emotions never interfered with his work. Toji was the epitome of war in every sense. Violent, sarcastic and bloody. But—
“Are you worried about emotions?” Satoru interrupted, before he could send him to bed once and for all.
What a son of a bitch. Toji wanted to laugh. He had found himself the worst partner. He wished he were mute, so he couldn't say what he thought.
“Yes” it may have been the most sincere response anyone had gotten from him in years. He sat up, ending the conversation. “Now, go to sleep. Critters like you should be tucked in by now, don't you think?”
Satoru pouted. Toji noticed the pink watercolor on his cheeks

A much requested snippet from the next chapter of A Million Cranes. I should be able to post the whole thing soon~
Also I was supposed to post this yesterday, but forgot. Oops?
-
Warnings: none
-
The words “We need to talk” took him by surprise, though he should have seen them coming. Loathe as he was to let fear rule him now, to allow it to ruin this little bit of unexpected happiness, it was inevitable.
Good things never lasted long, did they?
"Talk," he repeated after Tobirama, trying to keep his tone even, which wasn't an easy feat. "Talk about what?"
“I know you,” Tobirama all but blurted out, his face heating up in a fierce blush, the reason for it likely embarrassment. Then he swallowed before looking up, a strange sort of determination in the set of his jaw as he continued, “What I mean is, I know it’s you. I know you were the one to... to leave the flowers. To bring me the gifts. I know.”
These words felt like someone had poured a bucket full of ice water over Madara’s head. The sense of dread was imminent, so intense it made Madara's head spin.
Of course that's what Tobirama would want to discuss. What else could it be? And it wasn’t as if Madara intended to keep his actions a secret if Tobirama was interested in whatever it was he wanted from him. He wasn’t that kind of man. Still, he would have preferred it to be brought up in a different way and on his own terms.
It was too late for that now, he supposed.
Tobirama knew the truth. Somehow. And he didn’t seem disgusted or disturbed by it or unhappy in any way.
He had kissed him.
He was still standing close, holding onto Madara’s kendogi.
That had to count for something, didn’t it?
“How did you—?” Madara finally asked.
“I–” Tobirama started to say, but he cut himself off abruptly, his entire body going tense before he quickly stepped away.
Brows furrowed in confusion, Madara was just about to ask what was going on, one of his hands extended in half aborted motion to catch the omega and keep him close, when the door behind him opened suddenly and he heard a familiar voice full of excitement call out, “Mada-oji!”
Why he hadn't noticed Kagami’s chakra signature before wasn’t much of a mystery, considering how distracted he had been. It was still rather embarrassing though. Some sensor he was…
“Kagami,” he greeted without turning to see the child. “What are you doing here, chick?”
“Kaa-chan and I made dinner! And dessert!” Kagami answered. “We wanted to make sure you had company!”
His niece was nothing but thoughtful. However, just this once, Madara wished vehemently this wasn’t the case.
He closed his eyes and took a deep, fortifying breath. "Could you please go inside? I'll be–"
"It's alright. I'll just… I should go," Tobirama said as he stepped away from Madara. His entire face was red and to say he looked uncomfortable would be an understatement. "We can… we can talk later, Madara-san. Another time perhaps."
"No, that's not necess–"
"Sensei?" Kagami asked, coming to stand by Madara's side. "What're you doing here?"
If the situation was any different Madara was sure he would have found the child's bluntness amusing. However, he didn't feel like laughing now.
"I, er… I walked your uncle home. From the hospital," Tobirama answered with a smile that looked more like a grimace. "I gather you'll be able to take care of him from now on, yes?"
"Sure!" Kagami slipped his hand into Madara's where it had fallen to hang limply at his side. "Kaa-chan and I can do that. She made mochi, you know ? 'Cause it's oji-san's favourite! It's very good. Would you like some?"
"Ah, well… Um. I'm not sure if it's a good idea?"
"Why not?" Madara found himself saying. Maybe he sounded a bit desperate, but any shame he would have normally felt at that was secondary to how much he wanted Tobirama to stay. "Have you eaten anything yet? We could share a meal together and maybe talk after…?"
The time it took Tobirama to respond was amongst the most nerve-wracking moments of Madara's life.
"I… I'm," he finally spoke, "I-I guess I can stay. If you're sure…?"
"I am," Madara said quickly, feeling lightheaded with relief. "I'm more than sure."

KENDO
i guess i'm a kendoka now, for real!
Tumblr media
yes, i still need to learn how to tie my kendogi and hakama correctly but HEY, i'm really digging this!
i started practicing kendo back in january- i was looking for some kind of physical activity that did not bore me to death like regular gym exercise did. a friend of mine sent me a video of some dude slashing a bamboo-something with a Very Sharp sword and i thought to myself "hey, that looks neat".
living in the largest city in the southern hemisphere of the planet means that if you're after something, you're probably going to find it without too much trouble. the video i saw was about iaijutsu but because i'm a fucking idiot i thought that was the same thing as kendo and joined one of são paulo's many kendo clubs.
thing is, i really fucking like kendo now. i like the constant effort to try and improve my moves while being surrounded by other people who are also trying to do the same thing. it feels very cooperative.
my mentors told me i was ready to wear these fancy clothes and so i bought them. Kendogi's the upper half and Hakama's the skirt thing. Putting them on is kind of a bitch though and folding them back is an even bigger bitch or maybe i'm just a general failure at folding clothes and putting them on which is a really strange thought: i never thought i'd suck at wearing clothes.
no matter, i'll get the hang of it eventually. it feels good to have finally found a physical activity that i really like.
my cat was watching me the whole time as i was flailing my legs around

Summer and Sunshine
Summary:
Hikaku knows what summer is like.
But not quite from this perspective.
Tumblr media
Rating: Mature Fandom: Naruto Relationship: Senju Tobirama/Uchiha Hikaku/Uchiha Izuna Word Count: 520 (Complete)
Entry for @yearoftheotpevent
May flower language | sick fic | pet/child acquisition | "who are you" | sunshine | fantasy/medieval/dark knights of steel au
Tumblr media
Hikaku wipes sweat off his brow and curses the heat.
It may sound odd coming from an Uchiha, but his clan runs at a high enough temperature already - adding summer to it just makes everything uncomfortably sticky. He's tempted to take off his mantle and dunk his head in some water, but he can't - he has a training session with the younger shinobi soon and he can't afford to show up looking anything less than tidy.
Instead he takes his frustrations out on a whetstone, sharpening his kunai to a fine edge.
"Hikaku!" Izuna-sama climbs the path to the engawa, waving, but Hikaku doesn't stand.
It's too hot for formality.
"Hikaku, it is summer." Izuna-sama collapses next to him in an untidy heap. "The month has barely started and it's already terrible."
"I know," Hikaku grimaces, but he's glad to have someone who hates this season as much as he does. He can't wait until autumn arrives. "I'm switching to a yukata as soon as afternoon training is over."
"Not that," Izuna-sama waves the idea away. "Hikaku, it is Tobirama in kendogi season."
Oh gods.
Hikaku goes red, his sharingan rapidly replaying scenes from last year in his mind.
Truly, the dōjutsu of their clan can occasionally be as much of a curse as a blessing.

Hii can I get 28 with aged up Tatewaki Kuno plzz
Warnings: pretty fluffy, implied smuttiness, fem!reader, sensei!kuno, senpai kink (teasingly)
Prompt list
AGED UP!TATEWAKI KUNO
Tumblr media
Ever since you began taking Kendo lessons from Kuno, you’ve been on his mind constantly. It started out innocently at first, and Kuno had prided himself on finally outgrowing his adolescent habit of fawning over women so easily. He mostly thought about your progress and ways he could help you work on your form. Yes, perfectly innocent. Then, one day, while you were having a private lesson at his dojo, something changed. Your eyes were all lit up as he managed to once again best you in your friendly match. He helped you off the ground, and as you held his hand you smiled so sweetly.
“You’re really something else, senpai,” you said with what his hopeless romantic heart hoped was a flirtatious lilt to your soft voice.
“It’s sensei,” he corrected you.
You shrugged it off and then repeated the ‘mistake’, “Whatever you say, senpai.”
He has not managed to have a single innocent thought about you since that day. Surely, he figured, you must have been flirting with him. He spiraled further and further down that train of thought. What if you really did like him? What if wanted him? What if you even loved him? It drove him crazy at all hours of the day and night. He’d be planning your next lesson, then suddenly imagine you underneath him with your eyes all lit up and more praise for him falling off your honey lips. He would see you in your kendogi and imagine what you must look like underneath it.
Finally, he came to one conclusion, he couldn’t possibly be your sensei anymore. It was vulgar for a sensei to have such feelings for their student, even though you are both adults.
‘It’s utterly unprofessional’, he convinced himself.
His plan came with added plus of no longer having to maintain a professional distance. So, he had it all planned out. He would tell you that he can no longer teach you kendo, and then ask you out on a date. It was perfect.
Except it wasn’t.
“I deeply apologize,” Kuno says when he meets you outside the dojo for what you thought was your next lesson. “I can no longer be your sensei.”
Your face drops, and with it his heart. You look down shyly, “Did I do something wrong, senpai?”
“N-no! Nothing about you is amiss,” he steps forward. “It is just best if I am no longer your sensei.”
Your shoulders droop and he hears you sniffle softly. You know you must have offended him somehow. Kuno turns it over and over in his mind how to make this better. Before you have time to react, he’s grabbing your waist to pull you against his chest. His lips crash against yours in a heated kiss that makes your stomach erupt in butterflies.
“Oh, senpai,” you gasp when he pulls away.
“Each of my thoughts about you is improper,” he confesses.
He waits for the shriek of disgust or even for you to hit him. Instead, he looks at your face to see a playful smirk. Your fingers wrap around his collar and you pull him back in for another kiss.
“It’s about time,” you whisper against his mouth. He sinks into your kiss, finally letting himself savor the sweet taste of you. His hands squeeze your waist.
“You are not cross with me for these feelings?”
“Not at all,” you kiss him softly, “How about a different kind of lesson?”

What is the Japanese word for "way of the sword"?
Kendo means "the way of the sword" in Japanese. It is a traditional Japanese martial art that has been practised for centuries. It is a unique form of swordsmanship that emphasizes technique, discipline, and respect. Kendo is not only a physical activity, but it is also a mental one. Practising kendo requires a lot of focus, concentration, and self-control.
The goal of kendo is to strike your opponent with a bamboo sword, or shinai while following strict rules and etiquette. Kendo practitioners wear protective gear, including a helmet, chest protector, and gloves. They also wear a uniform, or kendogi, and carry a bamboo sword.
Kendo is more than just a sport or exercise. It is a way of life. Kendo teaches its practitioners the importance of respect, humility, and perseverance. Kendo is not about winning or losing, but about improving oneself. It is a way to challenge oneself physically and mentally and to develop a strong sense of self-discipline.
Kendo is a great way to stay active and healthy. It is a full-body workout that builds strength, flexibility, and endurance. Kendo also helps to improve coordination, balance, and agility.

You were on your knees, surrounded by blot monsters. You held Grim (unconscious and breathing heavily) tightly to your chest. Ace and Deuce were standing in front of you, but their hold on their magical pen was weak and on the verge of collapsing. Is this it? Is this the end? Are they going to die like this? You screwed your eyes shut as the monsters shriek. Your lips whisper a prayer. A miracle.
"Everybody, get down!"
A blur jumped over your head, slicing the blot monster with its mouth open. The figure landed in front of you. It was a young man with spiky black hair and tanned skin. His face was covered by a white and blue kitsune mask. He wore a light blue kendogi and teal halaman underneath a white haori, along with a white tabi sock and traditional wooden sandals. In his hand, he helda katana, smoking slightly from his usage of magic.
The blot monsters shrieked again and ran toward the man. You were about to shout for him to be careful but the young man had already mmoved His movement were elegant and precise, like a flowing river. His katana sliced through the enemies until there was no ink left.
The three of you could only watch in awe as the young man finished the last of the blot monster before sheeting his katana back. He ran back toward you, worries filled his voice. "Are you alright?"
"W-We're fine," you answered, voice hoarse from the screaming earlier.
"You saved us," Deuce whispered, one arm over Ace's shoulder and his whole body leaning against him. "Thank you."
The young man nodded and he hummed.
"Who are you anyway?" Ace asked.
"Wha- Oh." The young man pulled his kitsune mask to the side of his head, revealing a pair of sharp but warm brown eyes.
"My name is Enma Yuuken. It's a pleasure to meet you guys."

Levi's Valentine: A multi-chaptered story
Tumblr media
Hi all, I'll be dropping a multi-chaptered Valentine's Day story for Levi which will be posted every Monday from 14 February (Valentine's Day) until 14 March (White Day)!!
This story will be set in 2009 in Senior High School in Japan. As such, there might be certain Japanese words, food, terms and tropes that some of you might be unfamiliar with, so here are the words and terms that will be appearing in the story!
The list will be updated as I write the story so keep watching this post for more things that I will post and write about!
Also, yes I based the setting of the story to be in Japan, but I won't be using actual street or city names, so do not worry about getting 'lost' in the story, or not knowing where are the places I'm talking about.
