I'm sad Season 1 is over, but I'm glad that Season 2 is officially announced! Also it's wild that Season 1 covered the same amount of story as Season 1 of the original series, but in 6 fewer episodes, and they included MORE cute stuff in this one! I'm a big fan of Ranma and Akane liking each other as humans. In the first series, man...Ranma was an arrogant jerk most of the time and Akane seemed to be interested in him only because there was competition. This new series is a nice change of pace!

Some of those captured seemed to be coping better than others. Freydis knew she was in a unique position having survived a similarly dire occasion before–the fact that she would have to live through such a thing twice made her blood boil. She remembered many of the lessons she had learned from the shared trial of the broodmother’s lair, especially the significance of relying on one another and working together toward liberation. The instincts she had gained from the experience overrode her fear and became her primary form of self-preservation thus she busied herself in checking on those she already knew as quickly as possible. Kuno, who she barely knew but had talked to enough to see the telltale signs of grief and distress, was on that list. “You look like you’re going to be sick,” Freydis commented, her brows upturned in a show of obvious concern. “You aren’t tampering with the a’dam are you? I saw another man become violently ill when he tried to interfere with his.” The a’dam would need to be dealt with, but not until they knew more, until they had defied the odds of their lot in life and uncovered some sort of vulnerability the collars had.
