i cant stop thinking about this line. it mustve fucked with argent at least a little bit right?? especially with the line "i need you to have control". like. dude. control is arguably the most important thing to her. weve seen how meticulous she is with it even in the most mundane situations

weve seen what happens when she does lose control of herself

and we know that keeping up with everything is already tiring for her

argent is, out of every other character in the game, the one who needs to be kept under control the most, and the one most aware of that fact too. even if she acts volatile, shes constantly expending her focus to keep everybody around her safe. steel does Not need to add on to the stress of what she already knows. and the line after that, "this wasn't an accident. You went in there with the intent of hurting [them]" doesnt make the situation any better.

argents made mistakes. she absolutely has regrets. again, she doesn't need the reminder. actually, "this wasnt an accident" is worse than saying that, because if some of the thing she implies doing were mistakes, then what could she do when shes being deliberate? and "going in there with the intent of hurting [them]",,, Oof. hows the control of the nanovores worst impulses going for you angie?

i just. i think this line was somebody echoing her worst fears back at her. telling her in the bluntest, most brutal terms that everything shes doing isnt enough. that she needs to put in more effort to be considered safe for others to be with. and that must hit hard for sombody so lonely who already tries so hard every day, yk?

Blacklistable tag update: in the next few days I will probably put up one or two original posts related to BG3, one of which will be art (assuming I finish my shit at a reasonable time). I will likely be posting these under "emi plays bg3" and not "bg3"; large fandoms make me nervous. I wanted to be sure I was clear so that folks could filter things out. I will try to be more consistent henceforth with using that or the normal fandom tags on posts. I am coming out of my cave to give quick update:

I have updated Andrico's gender.

Detailed explanation of my thought process and their current view of gender under the cut.

So check it, I saw a TikTok of a Black person talking about their pronouns (they/she) and how depending on who you are depends what pronouns they prefer you use. Black people, particularly Black women get carte blanche to she/her. Non-Black people they prefer "they/them" unless they know you. And that stuck with me. Especially the part where OP spoke of "only certain groups or people have access to my femininity".

So yeah, Andrico would prefer to be a neutral presence to strangers/people he doesn't know well. Not androgynous, just neutral. For people in his community, he/him is the way to go.

She/her is something else all together. He has to fuck with you heavy for him to let you use she/her. Particularly outside of the Arcanaverse. Because Andrico knows how he shows up in the world. He's 6'2, built like a brickhouse, etc. So he knows anyone calling them she out the gate isn't doing so because they recognize their innate femininity ya feel me? So that part of him he is fiercely protective of.

I have no plans of going back and changing previous works or things I have been working on. And you wouldn't be wrong to still refer to Andrico by he/him pronouns because they are still his pronouns. It's just a little more nuanced now. Overall this is still a developing situation but I think it would be fun to take you on this journey.
