𓍼 pairing! - tradhusband!beomgyu x wife!reader
𓍼 warnings! - dom!beomgyu, sub!reader, massive breeding kink, beomgyu lies and says he'll pull out, big dick beomgyu, ass smacking, nipple play, groping, punishment, beomgyu referred as sir and gyu by reader, beomgyu calls reader sweetie and baby (and good wife)
# lexi adds! - trad husband gyu is a whole different beast i think that should be a warning itself but yeah I had a lot of fun writing my future life (jk lol) feedback and reblogs are appreciated!! :3 sorry this took a while to finish !!
Tumblr media
beomgyu was exhausted. exhausted of the stressful day at work, countless business calls and offensively impolite middle aged men who wanted to invest in the company, it was all too much.
all he wished for was to get back home to his wife and two sons and rest.
he thought of the warm greetings he would get from his family once he arrived home; his two boys running up to him and a loving kiss from his wife alongside dinner.
his drive back home was full of different thoughts. but one of them stuck in his mind for a while.
he loved his sons, that was no lie. but beomgyu thought of having a daughter. thinking of how cute and beautiful she would be, just like her mother. she would be the princess of the family. beomgyu didn't know if you were ready for another baby. your two boys were always causing trouble around the house but maybe having a little girl to look after and protect would calm them down.
beomgyu didn't have the balls to tell you he wanted another baby, he just couldn't. the truth was, he missed seeing you round and pregnant all because of him. the way your breasts would grow full of milk, oh what a beautiful sight to see. he was embarrassed to ask, so he took matters into his own hands.
beomgyu had gotten out of work at 6 pm, maybe his kids would be asleep by the time he got home and it would just be you two, the perfect opportunity to get you pregnant.
when beomgyu got home, it was the opposite of what he was expecting.
the boys ran around as they chased each other around the kitchen and living room, screaming like wild animals while you tried to quiet them down at the same that you finished cooking dinner for beomgyu.
the house was supposed to be well organized, taken care of by you, yet you were struggling to keep the boys in place.
it took them a while to realize that he had entered before they turned and shouted "daddy!" running to him with their arms wide open.
he knelt down to their level and hugged them both tightly, his gaze meeting yours in a looming look. he let them out his grip and they went back to playing loudly just as before.
beomgyu got back up and began walking toward you as you plated his food. after you placed it on the table, his voice spoke sternly, "why aren't those two in bed? it's past their bedtime."
you looked back at the clock on the oven, it was indeed past their bedtime. you had a timid look on your face as you looked into his eyes. "I wasn't paying attention to the time..."
"Did they eat already?" he said.
your voice sounded faint-hearted as the words left your mouth "No, not yet. I'll plate their food right now."
"that's what I like to hear, get to it."
⸝⸝
and just like that, everyone was sitting at the dinner table, eating. this wasn't what beomgyu had in mind. he expected to be all alone with you, have you all to himself as the kids slept peacefully in their room.
"mommy I'm tired..." the youngest spoke after finishing his portion of food, yawning quietly and you could tell his eye lids were beginning to become heavy.
"me too!" the eldest said after, his plate empty as he raised his hand.
"okay then let's get you and your brother to bed, come on you two." you said warmly as they got out of their chairs and followed behind you, you leading them to their bedroom. beomgyu watched, thinking of how good of a mother you were. he could only imagine how you'd be with a baby daughter.
after a few minutes that seemed like forever to beomgyu, you left the room, going back to the dining table as you started to pick up all the cleared plates quietly, beomgyu watching you in action.
"sweetie, you can just clean that in the morning" his voice spoke out to break the silence, his tone calm yet menacing. "you're basically asking me to punish you after all that, aren't you?"
"after what...?" you said, a bemused sound in your voice as you spoke.
He stood up from his seat, standing in front of you with a threatening glare "why weren't you responsible enough to put the boys to bed at their bedtime, hm? you should've been aware of the time."
"I'm sorry gyu-" you're cut off by beomgyu;
"it's sir to you, baby" beomgyu said in a poker-faced manner.
"I'm sorry sir..." your voice was quiet and soft-spoken while your gaze fell to your feet.
"sorry isn't going to cut it. bedroom, now."
⸝⸝
now here you were, in the dimly lit room that you shared with beomgyu, in an all fours position on the king sized bed. beomgyu watched with aberrant eyes at your naked form displayed for him. his hands ran and grazed along the curves on your body, his hand cupping your ass, rubbing against the skin.
"do you need a punishment, baby?" he lightly slapped your ass, implying the kind of punishment he had in mind.
a muffled squeak escapes past your lips, the fear starting to climb against your body, "n-no sir..." your voice was so soft spoken, barely above a whisper as you answered.
"you just love to disobey the rules, don't you baby?" he said, " I won't let that slide this time. you're supposed to be a good wife, obeying the rules I set for you. did you follow them?" he grabbed a fistful of your hair, tugging your head back lightly to make eye contact with you.
"n-no sir..." you repeated , your words leaving as a small vulnerable croak, tears swelling at the rim of your eyes.
"what's wrong, hm? is my baby crying already?" he says, cooing you in a teasing fashion, "there's no reason to be crying. do you want me to give you a reason to cry, sweetie?"
you stayed silent for a few seconds, leaving the question unanswered as you sniffled and held back tears. big mistake.
beomgyu's anger was now fueled by your disobedience and he tugged your hair harder, his voice louder and way more threatening before. "why aren't you answering me? you think you're going to run around by your own rule book? well you thought wrong. bad wives get punished."
without hesitation, you receive a hard smack on your ass, causing you to yelp.
"that's all you're going to do? yelp like a stupid baby? count."
another slap to your ass.
"o-one...!" you cry out, the tears officially spilling from the barrier that once held them back, they ran down your face just like a waterfall.
"that's more like it." he said, his words punctuated with an even harder slap against your skin, the contact beginning to paint your ass cheek a bright red hue, "you should always be obedient like this."
another cry left past your lips "two!" your arms weaken and you let your upper half fall against the bed, your ass still up in the air to beomgyu's access.
"is that all you need? do you need more?" he questioned, his taunting voice ringing in your ear.
"n-no sir! no more!" your pathetic cries reach beomgyu's lips, turning them into an unapologetic smirk as he snickered at the sight of your demoralized form.
"no more? is that what you want?" he watched as your head rubbed against the mattress in a nod and he chucked in a villainous way. "you'll get my dick as a punishment too, is that what you want?"
he watched again as you nodded, a wicked look on his face that you couldn't see. "so eager for cock, aren't you baby?"
with no question , his belt was now unbuckled and his dick was now out his pants, his bulbous tip aching to enter your hole. no matter how many times he's had you, you were always so tight, milking his dick like always.
his cock prods against your embarrassingly wet hole, the slick wetting his dick as he stroked himself behind you. "don't expect me to pleasure you, it's a punishment." his voice stern and blunt as he pushed half his tip into your hole, already getting the feeling of the warm embrace he would get once were finally in.
he couldn't wait. quickly, he slammed his hips against yours. the tightness even tighter than he had anticipated. he groaned, struggling a bit just to pull out as you whined. he yanked your head back once more, catching a glimpse of your already fucked out expression. "don't make me mad." he warned, slamming against you again.
his pace speeds up, slamming into you rhythmically as you moaned and whimpered out loud. he threw his hand over your mouth, muffling all the noises that escaped your mouth "fuck, why are you enjoying this? are you asking for another baby? well that's too bad because I'll pull out. "
he was lying, he knew he was lying. the only thing he wanted was to get you pregnant, at least just once more. maybe he'd get lucky enough to get a daughter this time. this time he'd test himself, see how long he'll last before completely bottoming out.
"n-no sir! please ah- don't pull out!" you cries were muffled yet beomgyu could hear you perfectly fine. he uncovered your mouth, still thrusting into like never before. you knew he only ever fucked you like this with the intention of getting you pregnant, it happened two time before.
"well disobedient wives don't get what they ask for, do they? shit..." he cursed under his breath, your walls clamped around him so good, he felt like he was on cloud nine. "don't be too loud, we got two kids sleeping." his groans sounded so sensual, they always did.
beomgyu felt his balls tighten, he knew he was close. he wondered how much longer it would be before he came inside of you. maybe a minute or two? maybe even less. "fuck why does your pussy have to feel so good, baby? it's not even a punishment at this point..." he was right, you were enjoying it more than you were supposed to.
instead of hating it, you were loving it. your moans just grew louder and louder, you even had to shove your face in the fluffled pillows to quiet yourself down.he
it was like a game to beomgyu. he was always trying to challenge himself to see how long he could last. but this time wasn't going to be like the past few times he lasted a good while. no, he was so close so fucking close. but he wouldn't admit that. why would he ever do that when you were being so disobedient yet wanting another baby from him?
with one smack on your ass, you were finished, cumming all over his cock as you squirmed underneath him. despite already being fucked out and so overstimulated, beomgyu kept going. you could tell he was already getting ready to cum. his breath became more jagged and heavy as he groaned louder, his grunts not failing to escape his lips with every thrust he gave.
and when you least expected it, he came inside. his warm sticky milk-like liquid spilling into you and filling you up to the brim. your eyes widened as you moaned out. he kept fucking into you, his hands on your ass as his thrusts slowed down and he was catching his breath. you turn your head and see beomgyu, his head thrown back, his adam's apple visible to the eye as it bobbed up and down with each of his pants.
"would you take getting round and pregnant again as a punishment?" beomgyu asked, his voice breathy from the activity he just endured.
"yes sir..." you nod gently, your voice soft as beomgyu kept his dick buried inside of you.
he leaned down and kissed your shoulder lovingly the opposite of the punishment you had not too long ago.
"that's my good wife, let's clean up and get to bed."

I take no issue with monetizing cc. You release good content and have an agreeable release window, I either choose to subscribe, or I wait. Cool. What I do take issue with is this
Perma-paywalls or ridiculous early access release windows. Anything exceeding thirty days is excessive. My opinion.
2. New creators setting up immediate early access. The skillset is just not there yet to put a price on your creations. You barely have a base to sell to. This includes creators who created for other games, then come over to The Sims and try to sell to us. For example, the creator that makes skins and admitted they don't even play the game. Simply here for profit.
3. Creators that do not qc their work, or steal from other creators. Girl.
4. Customer service. Once you start creating for profit, whether it be supplemental or your main source, you have to have a level of customer service and professionalism. You have now started a brand. A very niche brand, but that's what it is. You cannot be short with people for asking valid questions and catching an attitude with them. Like that one lady with the tree coming out in February. If you are one of those rare creators who is lucky enough money to hire someone to handle your social media, I suggest you do that. Or supply a friend with more patience with their favorite coffee or something and let them handle it. Something.
5. Not interacting with the community you are trying to sell to. Connect with people. Repost their edits, lookbooks, builds, leave comments, give a like. The creator mentioned above commented that no one comments on their stuff, at least not here. Fair. This community does not talk like it used to, but to each other like it used to, but you can go to creator pages and see that they are perfectly curated advertisements. Like a showroom. No reblogs of anyone using their content. If you want that for your main page fine, but at least have another side blog where you can do the outlined above.
6. Pushing something out just to push it. I think we have entered a space, both creator and follower/consumer, where everything feels so fast-paced. What's the new thing coming out, what's next, etc. So much so that I think it has made creators push out content just to keep up, especially if they rely on that income. This has resulted in some creators getting into hot water for releasing the same item(s) in different sets and in different colors. Or creators releasing duplicates of the same thing. It can be frustrating, but I question if it is because they're just trying to keep up, or afraid to try something new or different in fear of it not doing well. Some smaller creators who create different content don't get as much love and I question if they would receive more if they followed the wave, or were big enough to start one.
Now to this community
If a creator disrespects you or others or moves in a way that you don't fundamentally agree with, and you complain but still download and or advertise their content, you're moving counterproductive to your plight. Why would anyone reflect on themselves when you prove that you're going to advertise their content anyway?
2. Show love to these creators. Big and small, especially small, monetized or not. Everyone likes to hear or see that what they release is valued. Don't harass or disrespect creators if they take a break, or they don't get something out quickly. Especially the modders.
3. Interact with each other. Even if your aesthetics or different. This is a community. If you see something you like, LIKE IT. Share it, leave a comment.
4. Create the thing simmer. The edit, cc, build, lookbook, whatever. Create the thing and share the thing. Even if it isn't part of a popular trend or aesthetic.
I'm speaking about myself here too because I want to better about this.
I want this to feel fun again. Not just based on what is in at the moment.
This might be read. Might not. Just my two Abes. Anyway I'm about to make some soup from scratch. Toodles!

Tumblr media
Tatum is very much like you when you were a teenager. Moments during the week where you two buttheads about certain things that are typical for a mom and daughters to "argue" about.
However, tonight took a turn for the worse. Everyone was sitting at the dinner table finishing up dinner. It had been a long day at work for Drew and you been home cleaning the house.
Leo was talking about how his day went—recently, Leo, has gotten into basketball and wanted to try out for the school. Drew and you were excited to hear the news and encouraged Leo to try out.
"Tatum, could you kindly get off your phone? "Your brother is talking," you say aloud, attracting her attention as you point to Leo, who has stopped talking.
Tatum rolls her eyes and sets her phone on the table beside her dish. "You can put it on the counter please."
"Why can't I leave it next to me?" She gives you an attitude, "We are sitting at the dinner table eating, and none of us have our phones next to us," your tone remains casual but firm.
"Leo can still talk and I won't be on my phone" crossing her arms over her chest, not bothering to move her phone from the table.
Before Tatum can finish speaking, Drew cuts her off with a clear and serious voice and says, "Tatum, watch your tone and listen to your mom."
Tatum groans loudly, pushes her chair out, picks up her phone, walks to the kitchen, and puts it down after rolling her eyes in frustration.
"There look you happy mom?" Tatum mumbles "so dumb" under her breath as she emphasizes with her palms raised.
You hear her say, "It's not stupid, Tatum." We've had this regulation in place for a very long time, so I don't see why everyone is acting this way—" Tatum slams her hand on the table and interrupts you in the middle of your statement.
"Please, Mom, just shut up already. I'm tired of you being irritating these past few days—" "Tatum Ann Starkey you will not speak to your mom like that, ever!" Drew abruptly interrupts her, throwing his fist on the table, causing everyone to jump. He gestures for her to "go up to your room now," and Tatum gives him a terrified face.
The corners of your eyes well up with tears. Leo comes running to you and gives you utter comfort. You are wondering why Tatum has suddenly started acting this way.
Leo hugs you close to him and says in your ear, "You are the best mom ever, mom. You did nothing wrong."
"Thank you baby."
"Leo, while I comfort your mother, could you please return the little condiments to their proper places? "Thank you, buddy," Drew says to Leo, who nods and follows instructions.
"Are you okay baby?" Drew asks, crouching down and placing both hands on your knees, looking at you with concern.
"I'm fine, just confused as to why she's acting this way towards me," you say gently, sniffling.
Drew and you begin discussing what has just occurred. Drew was not pleased with Tatum's actions toward you, her mother. You do so lot for this family, and Tatum does not need to vent her frustration on you.
Drew soothed you in every manner conceivable, making you feel more at peace about yourself—he's the best thing that has ever happened to you. The sound of his words made you relax, and tears streamed down your cheeks.
"I'm gonna have a talk with her upstairs," he pauses, "I love you."
You give him a soft smile, pulling the front strained away from your face—leaning forward in your chair, thinking what just happened. So many thoughts running through your head.
Drew knocked on Tatum's bedroom door, and you knew he was going to give her a big lecture on how to communicate with your parents. You've discussed this with both of your children numerous times.
Leo walks into the living room with a bowl of ice cream for himself and you—he's always been a momma's boy. Leo brings you the bowl and takes a seat next to you on the couch. "Thank you, Leo," you say, throwing your free arm around him and drawing him into a side embrace.
"Of course mom, I love you."
After five minutes, Tatum and Drew come downstairs. Drew muttered something to Tatum before elbowing her toward you. Leo moves from the couch to wherever Drew is in the home.
As she settles on the couch beside you, Tatum sighs—crisscross apple sauce. "Mom I'm sorry for the way I spoke to you at the dinner table," she says after a little pause. "I shouldn't spoken to you like that."
You take in Tatum's words, "I forgive you, Tatum. What you said to me really hurt," Tatum lets a tear fall from her cheek, "be cautious with your words, darling, I love you," taking her in for a loving, lengthy hug.
You and Tatum unwind in each other's arms while letting the tears flow. Tatum reiterated the same words to you: "I love you, mom, and I apologize." Regardless of how you argue, you will always adore your children.

Legit THIS! I've had thoughts about the perception others had of Sora in-universe throughout the series, especially during this time period! It's the way he's portrayed as a distant almost divine being with barely any of his joy and down-to-earth whimsy, so looking at it from Xion and especially Roxas' POV, he comes across as colder.
So many characters and things in general seem to have a specific use and view of Sora, and on the surface, it's usually good and for the greater good, but KH has gone out of its way at multiple points to give the audience the notion that this has affected Sora negatively. As time passes, the consequences start making the scars more noticeable.
It always stuck with me how 3D brought up Sora being "next on the list" whether it be for the Organization (which initially went for Riku, then even Roxas (which in itself is interesting to think about), then finally Sora) and even the keyblade (Riku to Sora). Sometimes it feels like, even if unintentionally from the others most of the time, view Sora in a sense of "what he is capable of doing" rather than Sora as a person with his own opinions on things.
I'm reminded of the many times I've heard players refer to Sora as a reactionary character. Things tend to happen to him rather than him starting things in many cases. It reflects well with the personality he's introduced with in KH1, but interestingly, I feel it plays into how he keeps getting pulled into things whether he'd want to or not. Sora doesn't get a choice—he has to save the world, he has to be the one others are sacrificed for, he has to be the one. The universe banks on the fact that Sora is just so good and loving that it will ignore any potential damage that will be inflicted on him.
And what sucks even more is that Sora believes that all of his value and strength comes from everyone else. He feels that he can't do anything without them. Time and time again, Sora is never given the breathing room to properly process anything. It's one battle after another, and even if he does say something, there isn't enough time to linger on it.
(In a way (I can't stop saying it), I think this actively affects how people in-universe and in real life view Sora. How you usually don't see as many people talk about the more tragic aspects of him and his journey. If you ask others in the general fandom, you're much more likely to hear about Roxas and Aqua (for good reason!). But not often do we think about how Sora was being used in CoM-Days (or just throughout the series).)
Anyone else find it fascinating that whenever we're shown Roxas's feelings through Sora, it's just kind of melancholic and wistful, but the reverse scenario always feels like you just walked into a psychological horror?
Seriously, the way it's presented, it's like we're meant to see Roxas as an old friend that we miss talking to, but Sora - our original "old friend" that we would have reasons to miss - is hardly even shown as a person. The contents of his memories feel less important than the effect they're having on Roxas, which is usually Extreme Distress and/or physical pain.
And it's insane to me because KH1 was so whimsical! The memories that Roxas and Xion are experiencing are literal Disney magic! But the way they're shown, with the fuzzy filters and the glitch effects, sort of removes the emotions you associate with them and makes them come across as eerie and unsettling.
Not to mention, Sora's memories rarely prompt any feelings of happiness, the way Roxas's might make Sora extra fond of the Twilight Town crew... which might say more about how KH1 affected Sora's mental health than anything.
(I personally stand by the idea that the story revisits it so much as an analogy for how repeating events in your head over and over can alter your perception of them)
But like. how wild is it that this series found a way to take its cheerful protagonist, and without changing anything about him, turned him into this constant, unnerving presence that haunts the lives of two other characters?
And I think another reason Roxas doesn't feel like he haunts Sora in the same way is because no one really... treats Sora like a person while he's asleep. He's either a tool or an object of affection, and regardless of which you pick, his feelings are seen as secondary to the goal of waking him up. As a result, the narrative focuses entirely on Roxas and Xion's personhood, and unlike Sora, they never stop being treated like people once they're made inaccessible due to the plot.
It's probably a bit late in the story to bring it up by now, but I still wonder if we'll ever see Sora be upset with Riku for sacrificing people in his name. Sure, it worked out in the end, and I'm not sure if Sora's even aware of what happened (how likely is it that he's properly sifted through all of Roxas's memories at this point?) but there's a list of things he could still conceivably be mad at Riku about that he hasn't processed, and I want this to be one of them

The small music room at the edge of the middle school was a hidden corner where Jihoon often escaped. It wasn’t because he was shy—though he wasn’t the loudest kid in the class—but because he liked the calmness. Playing the piano, even just practicing scales, was his way of unwinding.
One afternoon, as he pushed the door open, he paused. Someone was already there.
It was Y/N.
She sat on the wobbly piano bench, poking at the keys in a rhythm that sounded more like an experiment than a song. Her uniform sleeves were rolled up, her bag on the floor, and her focus entirely on the instrument. Jihoon recognized her immediately—she was a year ahead, a popular "noona" everyone seemed to know.
“Noona?” Jihoon said hesitantly.
Y/N turned, surprised. “Oh! I didn’t know anyone else came here.”
Y/N tilted her head, “You know, I’ve seen you around. You’re Jihoon, right? The guy who’s always with his guitar.”
He nodded, surprised she even remembered his name. “Yeah… That’s me.”
Jihoon hesitated. “It’s usually empty.” He stepped inside, looking at her curiously. “Do you play?”
“Not really,” Y/N admitted with a small laugh. “I just wanted to try it. But…” She pressed a few keys randomly. “I don’t think I’m any good.”
Jihoon moved closer, his fingers twitching with the urge to correct her posture. “You’re pressing too hard,” he said. “Here.”
Without waiting for permission, he leaned down slightly, guiding her fingers to the correct placement. Y/N followed his instruction, her brow furrowed in concentration.
“Like this?” she asked.
Jihoon nodded. “Yeah, noona. That’s better.”
She grinned at him. “You’re good at this, Jihoon. Do you come here often?”
“Almost every day,” he said quietly, still a bit shy under her bright gaze.
“Then maybe you can teach me?” she asked, her voice teasing but warm.
He blinked, caught off guard. “Uh... if you want.”
A few weeks later, Jihoon was standing on the baseball field, glove in hand.
Jihoon caught a glimpse of Y/N standing near the sidelines. She wasn’t supposed to be there—it was a middle school practice, after all—but she was watching him, waving with a wide smile.
“Noona’s here?” Jihoon muttered under his breath, feeling his heart skip a beat.
“Let’s go, Jihoon!” Y/N called, cupping her hands around her mouth. “Show them what you’ve got!”
The teasing tone in her voice made him blush, with her watching, he couldn’t afford to mess up.
The game was intense, and Jihoon did his best to focus, blocking out the awkward feeling of Y/N watching him. He managed to catch the ball each time, despite his initial hesitation.
When practice ended, Jihoon walked over to her, brushing dirt off his uniform. “What are you doing here, noona?”
“I was curious,” she said with a shrug. “And I wanted to see you play.”
“Me?” Jihoon asked, surprised.
“Well, yeah. I didn’t know you were this good at baseball too.” Her grin was wide and sincere.
Jihoon scratched the back of his neck, feeling warmth creep up his face. “I’m not that good...”
“You are,” Y/N said, leaning forward slightly. “You just don’t give yourself enough credit.”
That evening, as Jihoon walked home, he couldn’t stop replaying the sound of her laughter and the way she’d called his name from the sidelines. For a boy who kept most things to himself, her presence was like a bright light in his quiet world.
And though he wouldn’t say it out loud, he hoped Y/N would show up again—at the piano, at the field, or anywhere else he could catch her smile.
A few days after the baseball game, Jihoon returned to the music room after school. He expected the usual silence, but when he opened the door, Y/N was already there. She sat on the piano bench, her fingers lightly brushing the keys, as if she were waiting for him.
“Noona,” Jihoon said, surprised. “You’re here again?”
Y/N looked up, her smile brightening the room. “Of course! I figured my teacher might show up, so I didn’t want to miss the chance to learn.”
Jihoon flushed. “I’m not your teacher…”
“Sure you are,” she teased, patting the bench beside her. “Come on. Show me something new.”
He hesitated before sitting down, careful to leave a bit of space between them. “Did you practice what I showed you last time?”
Y/N nodded enthusiastically, though the sheepish look on her face told him otherwise. “Kind of? But I think I need a lot more practice. You’re way better at this.”
Jihoon chuckled softly, shaking his head. “Okay, noona. Let’s try again.”
As he guided her through the basics, he couldn’t help but notice how close they were. Her laughter filled the room whenever she hit the wrong key, and her determination to get it right made him smile. She wasn’t like anyone he’d met before—confident yet patient, teasing yet kind.
A week later, Y/N showed up at another one of Jihoon’s baseball practices.
“Are you going to be at every game now?” Jihoon asked as he approached her during a water break.
“Maybe,” she said with a playful shrug. “I like watching you play. It’s fun seeing you so focused.”
Jihoon rolled his eyes but couldn’t hide the small smile tugging at his lips. “Noona, you’re embarrassing me.”
“That’s my job,” Y/N said, grinning.
Jihoon glanced at his teammates, who were watching the interaction with curious smirks. He could already hear the teasing they’d throw at him later, but for some reason, he didn’t mind.
“Fine,” Jihoon said, trying to sound nonchalant. “But don’t cheer too loud next time.”
“No promises,” she replied, sticking out her tongue.
As spring turned into summer, Y/N and Jihoon began spending more time together. She would wait for him after practice, chatting about her day as they walked home. Sometimes, they stopped by the corner store to share ice cream, sitting on the curb as the sun dipped below the horizon.
One evening, after a particularly long practice, Jihoon and Y/N sat on the school steps, watching the sky turn shades of orange and pink.
“Jihoon,” Y/N said suddenly, her voice softer than usual.
“Hmm?” he murmured, resting his chin on his knees.
“Do you ever think about what you want to do when you grow up?”
He thought for a moment. “I don’t know. Maybe something with music. Or baseball. I haven’t really decided.”
She smiled, tilting her head to look at him. “I think you’ll be great at whatever you choose. You’re the kind of person who works hard for what they want.”
Jihoon turned his head, surprised by her words. “You really think so?”
“Of course,” she said, bumping his shoulder lightly with hers. “You’re pretty amazing, Jihoon.”
His face grew warm, and he looked away, unable to meet her gaze. “Thanks, noona.”
As they sat there in the fading light, Jihoon realized something: he didn’t just enjoy spending time with Y/N—he looked forward to it. Her presence made the quiet moments brighter and the loud ones more bearable.
Summer break had arrived, and with it came long, lazy days and the warmth of the sun. Jihoon thought it would mean fewer chances to see Y/N, but she surprised him one morning by showing up at the school baseball field during practice.
“Noona, don’t you have anything better to do?” Jihoon called out as she leaned against the fence, waving at him.
“Nope,” she said cheerfully. “I’m on summer break too, you know. And besides…” She grinned. “You’re the most entertaining thing around here.”
Jihoon shook his head, turning back to the field. He tried to focus on practice, but he could feel her eyes on him the whole time. When the coach finally called for a break, Jihoon jogged over to where she was sitting on the bleachers.
“Did you come all the way here just to watch me?” he asked, catching his breath.
“Maybe,” Y/N teased, holding up a bottle of water. “Here, you look like you need this.”
“Thanks,” Jihoon said, taking it. He hesitated before adding, “You didn’t have to come, though.”
“I wanted to,” she said simply, her tone sincere.
Jihoon didn’t know how to respond to that. He wasn’t used to people going out of their way for him.
Later that week, Y/N invited Jihoon to join her at the park. It was a warm afternoon, and they found a spot under the shade of a large tree. Y/N had brought a picnic blanket and snacks, and Jihoon had brought his baseball glove, just in case.
“Noona, you really don’t get tired of hanging out with me?” Jihoon asked as he tossed a baseball into the air and caught it.
“Nope,” she said, lying on her back and looking up at the sky. “Why? Are you tired of me?”
“No!” Jihoon blurted out, sitting up straighter. “I mean… no, I’m not.”
Y/N laughed, sitting up and leaning her chin on her knees. “You’re fun to be around, Jihoon. Even if you’re quiet.”
“I’m not that fun,” he muttered, looking down at the ball in his hands.
“You don’t see it, do you?” she said, her voice softer now. “You’re hardworking, talented, and you care about the things that matter to you. That’s why I like spending time with you.”
Jihoon’s heart skipped a beat. He glanced at her, her expression warm and sincere, and felt the familiar flutter in his chest.
“Thanks, noona,” he said, his voice almost a whisper.
“Don’t mention it,” she replied, smiling brightly.
As the summer days passed, Jihoon found himself growing more and more comfortable around Y/N. She became a constant presence in his life, showing up to his practices, sharing snacks at the park, and even challenging him to board games at her house.
But one evening, as they sat on the swings at the park, Jihoon couldn’t keep the question inside anymore.
“Noona,” he began, his voice hesitant.
“Yeah?” Y/N replied, gently swaying back and forth.
“Why do you spend so much time with me?” he asked, his eyes fixed on the ground.
She stopped swinging and looked at him, her expression thoughtful. “Because I like being around you, Jihoon. You’re different from everyone else. You’re honest, and you make me feel… calm.”
“Calm?” Jihoon repeated, finally looking up at her.
“Yeah,” she said with a soft laugh. “Like I can just be myself when I’m with you. No pretending, no pressure. Just… me.”
Jihoon didn’t know what to say to that. His chest felt tight, and his hands gripped the chains of the swing a little harder.
“You’re special to me, Jihoon,” Y/N added, her voice gentle.
Jihoon’s breath caught. He wanted to say something back, but the words wouldn’t come. Instead, he nodded, hoping she could see how much her words meant to him.
That night, as Jihoon lay in bed staring at the ceiling, he thought about Y/N’s smile, her laughter, and the way she made the world feel just a little bit brighter.
For the first time, he let himself admit what he’d been feeling all along.
He liked her.
The news came unexpectedly.
Jihoon had always been good at music and baseball, but he never thought those talents would lead to something bigger. So when a company scout came to his school after hearing about his musical abilities and offered him a chance to audition as a trainee, Jihoon was stunned.
“Seoul?” he repeated, sitting across from his parents at the dinner table. “They want me to move to Seoul?”
His mother nodded, her expression a mix of pride and worry. “It’s a big opportunity, Jihoon. But it’s also a big decision. Are you sure this is what you want?”
Jihoon hesitated. He thought about his small town, his school, his friends. And then, he thought about Y/N.
“I’ll think about it,” he said quietly, retreating to his room.
The next day, Jihoon found himself in the music room after school, nervously tapping his fingers against the piano keys. He had texted Y/N to meet him there, and now he was waiting, unsure of how to tell her.
When Y/N walked in, she immediately noticed his tense posture. “Jihoon, what’s wrong?”
He looked up, his heart sinking at the concern in her eyes. “Noona, I have something to tell you.”
“Okay,” she said, sitting down beside him on the bench. “What is it?”
“I got an offer,” Jihoon said, his voice barely above a whisper. “To go to Seoul. To become a trainee at a company.”
Y/N’s eyes widened. “What? Jihoon, that’s amazing!”
He glanced at her, surprised. “You think so?”
“Of course!” she said, grabbing his hand without thinking. “This is huge, Jihoon. You’re so talented. They’d be lucky to have you.”
“But…” Jihoon hesitated, looking down at their joined hands. “It means I’d have to leave. I wouldn’t be here anymore.”
Y/N’s excitement faltered, and for a moment, there was silence.
“When would you leave?” she asked softly.
“Next month,” he admitted. “If I decide to go.”
Y/N took a deep breath, trying to steady her emotions. “Jihoon, I won’t lie—it’ll be hard not having you here. But this is your dream, isn’t it?”
Jihoon nodded slowly. “I think so. But I don’t want to leave you, noona.”
Her heart ached at his words, but she forced a smile. “Jihoon, you can’t let that stop you. You’re going to do amazing things, and I’ll always be here cheering for you, no matter where you are.”
He looked up at her, his eyes glistening. “Promise?”
“Promise,” she said, holding out her pinky.
Jihoon hesitated before linking his pinky with hers. “I’ll miss you, noona.”
“I’ll miss you too,” she said softly.
The day Jihoon left for Seoul was bittersweet. His parents dropped him off at the train station, and Y/N was there, standing a little apart from the crowd.
Jihoon walked over to her, his duffel bag slung over his shoulder. “Noona,” he said, his voice cracking slightly.
“Jihoon,” she replied, her smile wavering.
For a moment, they just stood there, neither wanting to say goodbye. Finally, Y/N reached out and pulled him into a hug.
“Work hard,” she whispered. “And don’t forget to eat. You’re terrible at remembering that.”
Jihoon chuckled, though it sounded more like a sob. “I won’t forget.”
She pulled back, her hands resting on his shoulders. “You’re going to be great, Jihoon. I believe in you.”
“Thank you, noona,” he said, his voice steady despite the lump in his throat.
As the train pulled into the station, Jihoon reluctantly let go of her and stepped onto the platform. He turned back one last time, waving as the train doors closed.
Y/N waved back, her smile bright even as tears rolled down her cheeks.
In Seoul, Jihoon threw himself into training. The days were long, the competition fierce, and the pressure overwhelming. But every time he felt like giving up, he thought about Y/N’s smile, her encouragement, and the promise they had made.
He worked harder, knowing she was rooting for him from afar.
Years passed, and Jihoon’s dream of becoming a successful musician became a reality. After years of hard training, countless auditions, and endless performances, he had finally made it. As a member of the group that was taking the world by storm, his name was now known, his face recognized, and his music appreciated.
But despite the fame and the accolades, something was missing.
It had been years since he last saw Y/N. The memory of her smile, the sound of her laughter, and the warmth of her words always lingered in his mind. And so, one cold winter evening, Jihoon made a decision.
He would go back to his hometown, the place where it all began—the place where he had first met Y/N, the place that felt both familiar and distant now.
Jihoon stood in front of his old school, the place where he had once walked the halls as a shy, aspiring student. The building was quieter now, its paint chipped, and the playground that once hosted their after-school games seemed smaller than he remembered. But everything still felt... comforting.
He walked through the gates, a rush of memories flooding his mind. He could almost hear the sound of the baseball hitting the bat, the feel of the piano keys beneath his fingers. And then, he remembered Y/N.
He thought he would find her here, that she might still be in this place, still waiting to see him, just like he had always imagined.
With each step, his heart beat faster, hope rising in his chest. Maybe she was still living in the same neighborhood, or perhaps she had stayed in touch with some of their old friends.
But when he asked around, no one seemed to know where she was.
“I think she moved a while ago,” one of his old classmates said when Jihoon mentioned Y/N. “She went to college in Seoul, and after that, I’m not sure.”
Jihoon’s heart sank. He had hoped, even just for a moment, that he would find her here, in the place where it all started. He wandered around the familiar streets, searching for any trace of her.
But there was nothing.
The next day, Jihoon stood in front of the old piano at his middle school, his fingers lightly brushing the keys. The room was empty now, no longer the sanctuary it once was. It felt so different without Y/N’s presence, without her laughter echoing through the space.
“I thought I would find you here,” Jihoon whispered to no one in particular, his voice lost in the quiet of the room.
He closed his eyes, thinking back to those days when everything was simpler, when Y/N had been the one person who had made him feel like he wasn’t alone in the world.
He never expected fame to come so quickly, or for it to be so isolating. But as he stood in that quiet music room, Jihoon realized something: No matter how much time passed, no matter how many accomplishments he achieved, there was one thing he could never replace.
The feeling of being understood.
The warmth of her presence.
He missed her more than he had ever realized.
The following days were a blur. Jihoon returned to Seoul, unable to shake the emptiness that lingered in his chest. He threw himself into his work, but it was harder than ever to focus. His thoughts kept drifting back to the girl he had left behind—the girl who had believed in him before anyone else had.
He wondered if she still thought about him.
Did she remember their pinky promise?
The thought that maybe she had forgotten him haunted him, but he couldn’t let go of the hope that their paths might cross again one day.
Months later, Jihoon was at a variety show, doing an interview with his members. They were talking about their past, their training days, and their dreams. When it came time for Jihoon to answer a question, the host asked, “Jihoon, you’ve come a long way from your hometown. Is there anyone there you still keep in touch with?”
Jihoon paused, the question catching him off guard. He hadn’t really talked about Y/N in years. His throat tightened as he thought about her.
“I… I had a friend,” he began, his voice soft. “She was someone who really believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself. She was always there, even when I didn’t realize it.”
The other members looked at him curiously, but Jihoon didn’t continue. He didn’t need to explain everything. His mind had already drifted back to that quiet music room, the park, the baseball field—every place where Y/N had once been.
He smiled, even though there was a bittersweet ache in his chest. He might not have found her in his hometown, but he knew that no matter where she was now, she would always be a part of who he had become.
Months had passed the group’s schedule was packed, but one evening, Jihoon’s mind was still on the past as he attended a musical performance with Hoshi.
It had been an impromptu decision—Hoshi had mentioned wanting to go see a musical, and Jihoon, needing a break from his usual routine, agreed to tag along. It wasn’t something he had planned on, but he thought a night out might give him a chance to clear his mind.
The theater was elegant, the grand chandelier casting soft light over the crowded room as they found their seats. Jihoon’s thoughts wandered during the first act, but something shifted when the curtain rose for the second.
On stage, bathed in a spotlight, sat a familiar figure—her fingers dancing over the keys of a grand piano. It was a moment of pure magic, the soft music filling the room and touching something deep within Jihoon’s heart. He blinked, certain that his mind was playing tricks on him.
But when she turned slightly, her face illuminated by the stage lights, Jihoon’s heart skipped a beat.
It was Y/N.
He sat there, frozen, his breath catching in his chest. She was performing, and she was incredible. Her fingers moved with such grace, every note she played perfectly in sync with the orchestra behind her. It was clear she had been practicing, honing her skill all these years.
Hoshi nudged him with a grin. “Jihoon, are you okay? You look like you’ve seen a ghost.”
Jihoon barely heard him. His eyes were locked on Y/N, who was lost in her music, oblivious to the audience. The whole room seemed to fade away, leaving only the sound of the piano and the girl he had once known.
After the performance, Jihoon couldn’t sit still. He had to see her, talk to her, just to know that she was real, that she was still out there, living her dream.
As the crowd began to disperse, Jihoon and Hoshi made their way backstage, where they were told to wait for the performers. Jihoon paced nervously, unsure of what to say. What if Y/N had changed? What if she didn’t remember him?
But when the door opened and Y/N stepped into view, her face lit up with recognition.
“Jihoon?” she asked, her voice soft but filled with disbelief.
Jihoon’s heart thudded in his chest. “Noona… it’s really you.”
Y/N’s eyes searched his face, a small smile slowly forming as she took a step closer. “I didn’t expect to see you here, Jihoon. I thought you were busy with… well, everything you’ve been doing.”
“I… I didn’t expect to see you either,” Jihoon admitted, his voice shaky. “I had no idea you were a pianist in a musical now.”
Y/N laughed, the sound so familiar that it felt like a weight lifting off Jihoon’s shoulders. “I’ve been busy too, you know? After college, I decided to pursue music full-time. This is where I ended up.”
Jihoon smiled, his heart swelling with pride. “You’re amazing, noona. I didn’t know you were this talented.”
Her cheeks flushed a little, and she looked away modestly. “Thanks, Jihoon. But what about you? Look at you now. I saw your performance on TV. You’re incredible. You’ve really made it.”
Jihoon shifted uncomfortably, unsure of how to respond to her praise. “I guess so. But I’ve been thinking about you a lot. About… us.”
Y/N’s smile faded a little as she looked up at him, her expression unreadable. “Jihoon…”
He swallowed, nervous. “I went back to our hometown a while ago, hoping to find you. I kept asking around, but… no one knew where you were. I thought maybe you had moved on, or that I had forgotten you…”
Y/N shook her head, her hand gently reaching for his. “I never forgot you, Jihoon. I always wondered what happened to you. But I guess I just thought you were too busy to even remember me.”
Jihoon’s chest tightened at her words. “Noona, I never forgot you. I could never forget you.”
There was a long pause as they both stood there, the years of silence between them suddenly feeling very heavy. But as Jihoon looked into her eyes, he realized that despite everything that had changed, some things remained the same. The bond they shared, the connection they had, it was still there, still burning bright beneath the surface.
“I was hoping… maybe we could catch up?" Jihoon said.
Y/N smiled warmly, her eyes lighting up. “I’d like that. I’ve missed you, Jihoon.”
Jihoon’s heart raced as he nodded. “I’ve missed you too, noona.”
Over the next few weeks, Jihoon and Y/N reconnected. They spent time reminiscing about their school days, about the late-night talks, the shared dreams, and the small moments that had meant so much.
Y/N told Jihoon about her journey into music, about how she had struggled and worked her way up to become a pianist in the musical. Jihoon shared his own story, about the hardships of being a trainee, the sacrifices he had made, and the loneliness that often came with fame.
Through it all, they never once lost the connection they had.
One evening, after another performance, Jihoon walked Y/N back to her apartment. As they stood outside the door, Jihoon hesitated before speaking.
“Noona…” he began, his voice tentative.
Y/N looked at him, her gaze soft. “What is it, Jihoon?”
“I don’t know what the future holds, but I know this—” He took a deep breath, his heart racing. “I want you to be a part of it. I don’t want to lose you again.”
Y/N’s eyes widened, her heart fluttering in her chest. She smiled, her hand gently resting on his. “You won’t lose me, Jihoon.”
Weeks passed since Jihoon and Y/N reconnected. Their lives had been different since their youth, but some things never changed—the way they talked for hours without getting bored, the way they understood each other without needing to say much. The connection they once shared had only grown stronger, and now that they were both pursuing their dreams, it felt like fate had brought them back together.
One day, Jihoon invited Y/N to visit his studio. It had been a while since they had spent time in private, just the two of them.
Y/N arrived in the afternoon, and as soon as she stepped into the studio, she was greeted by the familiar hum of creativity. There were soundboards, microphones, and instruments everywhere. She could smell the faint scent of coffee in the air and the sound of a few tracks playing softly in the background.
“Wow,” she whispered, looking around in awe. “This is incredible.”
Jihoon grinned, proud of the space he had helped create. “It’s not much, but it’s home. For now, anyway.”
Y/N laughed, sitting down on the leather couch against the wall. “This is amazing, Jihoon. I can see how hard you’ve worked to get here.”
Jihoon sat beside her, his gaze thoughtful. “It’s a lot more work than I ever expected. Some days, it’s easy to forget what I’m even working for.”
Y/N looked at him, her expression soft and understanding. “I get it. It’s hard when your dream becomes your reality, and it feels like you’re just moving from one task to the next. But I know you’re doing this because you love it. I can see that in every note you play, every song you write.”
Jihoon looked at her, the sincerity in her voice touching him more than words could express. “Thanks, noona.”
After a while, Y/N stood up and walked toward the grand piano in the corner of the room. Jihoon had made sure it was a perfect space for creativity, and now, it seemed like the right moment for her to play.
“Do you mind if I play for a bit?” Y/N asked, her voice soft as she approached the piano.
Jihoon shook his head, a smile on his face. “Of course not. This is your space too.”
Y/N sat down at the piano, her fingers hovering over the keys before she began to play a soft, intricate melody. The music filled the room, and Jihoon stood, mesmerized by the way her hands moved across the keys with effortless grace.
The piece she played was familiar to him, one she had often played back when they were younger. He smiled as the sound brought back so many memories—the late nights at their school, playing together and dreaming of the future.
“This one,” Jihoon murmured, his voice barely above a whisper. “I remember this.”
Y/N smiled as she finished the piece, her fingers slowly coming to a stop. “You always loved this one. We played it together when we were younger.”
Jihoon nodded, his heart full as he sat beside her. “It feels like no time has passed. Your playing... it’s like you never stopped.”
Y/N’s smile softened, a touch of sadness in her eyes. “I didn’t stop. I just... took a different path. But music is still with me. It always will be.”
Jihoon’s gaze lingered on her, the quiet weight of their shared history filling the space. “I’ve missed hearing you play.”
Y/N chuckled softly, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. “I’ve missed playing for someone who understands.”
They sat together for a while, talking about the past and sharing their experiences. Y/N told Jihoon about her journey, the challenges of becoming a professional pianist in a competitive world, and how she had found herself in the world of musicals. Jihoon shared his own story, about the years of hard work and struggles as a trainee, the sacrifices he had made to make it this far, and the loneliness that often came with being in the spotlight.
Later, Jihoon decided to show Y/N some of his work. “Do you want to hear some of my recent songs?”
Y/N raised an eyebrow, intrigued. “Of course. I’d love to.”
Jihoon sat at the piano, playing the melody of one of the songs he’d written. Y/N listened intently, her fingers tapping the rhythm against her knee.
“You’re really good at this, Jihoon,” Y/N said after the song ended. “You’ve come a long way since we were kids.”
Jihoon smiled, though his thoughts were a bit more complicated. “You were always my inspiration, noona. I don’t think I’d be here if it weren’t for you.”
Y/N’s smile faltered slightly, but she didn’t say anything right away. Instead, she leaned back and looked at Jihoon thoughtfully. “I’m proud of you, Jihoon. You’ve made it, even when things got tough. I’m happy we reconnected. I’ve always wanted the best for you.”
Jihoon’s chest tightened at her words, and he looked at her, his gaze soft. “I’m glad we found each other again.”
The evening eventually came to an end, and Y/N stood to leave, the night air cooling as she prepared to go back to her own busy life.
“Thanks for coming today, noona,” Jihoon said quietly.
Y/N smiled warmly. “Anytime. I’ll always be here when you need me, Jihoon. I’m proud of you, you know?”
Jihoon smiled back, though his heart felt a little heavy. “I’m proud of you too, noona. I’ve missed you.”
As Y/N stepped out into the night, Jihoon stood in the doorway for a long moment, watching her disappear into the distance. He felt a sense of peace settle over him. They were both walking their own paths now, but they had found each other again. And that was all that mattered.
Jihoon couldn’t shake the feeling that their reconnection was only the beginning of something more. Days turned into weeks, and although both of their schedules were packed, they made an effort to keep in touch. Texts, late-night calls, and the occasional lunch break together kept their bond alive.
One afternoon, Jihoon found himself scrolling through his phone, looking at the messages he’d exchanged with Y/N. Her encouragement lingered in his mind, and he realized he hadn’t seen her perform since the day they met again at the musical show.
He texted her on impulse:
Jihoon:
Noona, when’s your next performance?
It didn’t take long for a reply to come through.
Y/N:
This Saturday. It’s a small recital for a local charity event. Why?
Jihoon:
Can I come?
Her response came after a pause, but it was filled with warmth:
Y/N:
Of course. I’d love for you to be there.
Saturday evening, Jihoon arrived at the venue, a cozy yet elegant hall filled with an intimate crowd. He wore a mask and cap to avoid drawing attention, but even so, a few fans recognized him and whispered excitedly. He slipped into a seat near the back, his heart racing slightly as he waited for Y/N to take the stage.
When she finally appeared, Jihoon felt his breath catch. She looked calm and radiant, her confidence shining through as she walked to the grand piano at center stage. She bowed to the audience before sitting down, her fingers poised over the keys.
The music began softly, a gentle, melancholic melody that filled the room. Jihoon could see her expression as she played, completely absorbed in the moment. Her emotions poured into each note, and he couldn’t help but feel a deep sense of admiration for her.
As the final chord echoed through the hall, the audience erupted in applause. Jihoon clapped as well, his hands stinging from the force. He was proud—prouder than words could express.
Jihoon waited for the crowd to disperse before heading backstage. He found Y/N chatting with a few other performers, her smile warm and genuine as she thanked them for their kind words.
When her eyes met Jihoon’s, her face lit up. “Jihoon!”
She excused herself and walked over to him. “You came.”
“Of course,” Jihoon said, his voice soft. “You were amazing, noona. I couldn’t take my eyes off you.”
Y/N laughed, a hint of embarrassment in her expression. “Thank you. That means a lot coming from you.”
Jihoon hesitated for a moment before pulling out a small bouquet of flowers he had been hiding behind his back. “These are for you. You deserve it.”
Y/N’s eyes widened in surprise. “Jihoon, you didn’t have to…”
“I wanted to,” he interrupted, his voice firm but kind. “You’ve always supported me. It’s my turn now.”
Y/N took the bouquet, her fingers brushing against his. “Thank you,” she said softly. “This really means a lot.”
The following week, Y/N visited Jihoon’s studio again, this time bringing her own sheet music.
“I thought we could try something new,” she said, her eyes sparkling with excitement. “I’ve been working on this piece, and I’d love your input.”
Jihoon raised an eyebrow, intrigued. “You want me to help?”
“You’re a genius when it comes to music,” Y/N replied, her tone playful. “Who better to collaborate with?”
They spent hours in the studio, blending her piano compositions with Jihoon’s production expertise. The room buzzed with creative energy as they worked together, bouncing ideas off each other and experimenting with different sounds.
At one point, Jihoon paused and looked at her. “This feels like old times, doesn’t it?”
Y/N smiled, her hands resting on the piano keys. “It does. I never thought we’d get to do this again.”
Jihoon nodded, his gaze softening. “I’m glad we found our way back to this. Back to each other.”
Y/N’s cheeks flushed, and she looked down, her voice barely above a whisper. “Me too.”
As the evening turned into night, Y/N prepared to leave, but before she could step out the door, Jihoon stopped her.
“Noona,” he said, his voice hesitant but determined.
She turned to face him, curiosity in her eyes. “Yes?”
“I know we’ve both been busy, and our lives are complicated, but…” He took a deep breath. “I don’t want to lose touch with you again. Not ever.”
Y/N’s expression softened, and she stepped closer. “You won’t, Jihoon. I promise.”
He smiled, a sense of relief washing over him. “Good. Because having you here, in my life, it feels right.”
Y/N looked at him, her own emotions reflected in her gaze. “It feels right for me too.”
As they stood there, the silence between them spoke louder than words. Their journey had come full circle, and though they didn’t know what the future held, they knew they would face it together.
Hoshi couldn’t keep a secret to save his life. The moment he learned about Jihoon and Y/N reconnecting, he shared the news with the other Seventeen members. The group was thrilled, especially after hearing countless stories about Y/N from Jihoon during their trainee days.
“Wait, is this the Y/N noona?” Seungkwan asked, his eyes wide.
“The one he couldn’t stop talking about?” Vernon added, smirking.
Joshua leaned in, his curiosity piqued. “Jihoon, why didn’t you tell us you met her again?”
Jihoon groaned, sinking into the couch in their dorm. “Because it’s none of your business.”
Hoshi clapped Jihoon on the back, grinning from ear to ear. “Come on, hyung, don’t be like that! We’re practically family. If she’s important to you, she’s important to us.”
Mingyu chimed in, “We have to meet her. No excuses.”
“No,” Jihoon said firmly, shaking his head. “She’s not ready for that kind of chaos.”
“Too bad,” Jeonghan said with a sly smile. “We’re making it happen.”
Jihoon had barely stepped into the studio the next day when he got a text from Hoshi:
Hoshi:
We’re on our way. Don’t freak out.
Jihoon’s heart sank. He immediately called Hoshi, but the call went unanswered. Moments later, a knock sounded at the studio door. Jihoon sighed, bracing himself as he opened it.
Hoshi stood there, grinning, with Y/N by his side. Behind them, half the members were peeking around the corner, trying to stay hidden but failing miserably.
“Hoshi…” Jihoon started, glaring at his friend.
“Surprise!” Hoshi said, pushing the door open wider. “Y/N noona, meet the family!”
Y/N laughed nervously, looking at Jihoon. “I guess I didn’t have a choice in this, huh?”
Jihoon sighed, running a hand through his hair. “No, you didn’t. I didn’t either.”
Once inside, the introductions began. Y/N was polite and warm, but Jihoon couldn’t help but notice her slight nervousness as she met each member.
“Hi, I’m Seungkwan,” Seungkwan said, bowing dramatically. “I’ve heard so much about you. Jihoon hyung used to talk about you all the time.”
“Did not,” Jihoon muttered, earning chuckles from the group.
“Yes, you did!” Hoshi said, grinning. “You told us about how she used to cheer for you at baseball games and play piano for you when you were stressed.”
Y/N smiled at Jihoon. “You talked about me?”
Jihoon’s ears turned red, and he avoided her gaze. “It’s not like that. They’re exaggerating.”
Mingyu stepped forward, towering over both Jihoon and Y/N. “I’m Mingyu. It’s nice to finally meet you. We’ve all been curious about the legendary Y/N noona.”
“Legendary?” Y/N asked, raising an eyebrow.
Joshua chuckled. “In Jihoon’s words, you were his first inspiration.”
Jihoon groaned, burying his face in his hands. “Can we not do this right now?”
Y/N laughed softly, her nervousness easing as she saw Jihoon’s flustered reaction. “It’s okay, Jihoon. I’m flattered.”
The members quickly made themselves comfortable, and before long, the studio was filled with laughter and conversation. Y/N shared stories from her past with Jihoon, which the members eagerly soaked up.
“Wait, you were there for Jihoon’s first baseball game?” Dino asked, leaning forward with interest.
Y/N nodded. “I was. He struck out the first time he played, but by the end of the game, he hit a home run. I’ve never seen him look so proud.”
Jihoon sighed, his face flushed. “Can we not talk about that?”
“Why not?” Jeonghan teased. “It’s a great story!”
As the evening wore on, Y/N found herself growing more comfortable around the members. They were warm, funny, and clearly cared deeply for Jihoon. It made her happy to see him surrounded by people who supported him so wholeheartedly.
When the members finally decided to leave, Hoshi turned to Y/N with a mischievous grin. “Noona, you’re part of the family now. Don’t be a stranger, okay?”
Y/N laughed. “I’ll try not to be.”
After everyone left, the studio felt quieter, but it wasn’t uncomfortable. Y/N and Jihoon sat together, the energy from earlier still lingering in the air.
“Sorry about them,” Jihoon said, rubbing the back of his neck. “They’re a bit much.”
“They’re wonderful,” Y/N replied, her voice soft. “It’s clear they care about you a lot. You’re lucky to have them.”
Jihoon looked at her, his gaze thoughtful. “Yeah, I am. But... I’m luckier to have you back in my life.”
Y/N’s cheeks warmed at his words, and she smiled. “I’m lucky too, Jihoon.”
They sat in silence for a while, the unspoken bond between them stronger than ever. Jihoon knew that, no matter what challenges lay ahead, he wouldn’t face them alone.
The weeks after Y/N’s first meeting with the Seventeen members were filled with an easy rhythm of shared time. Jihoon and Y/N grew closer, finding moments between their busy schedules to meet. She was even starting to get used to the members’ playful teasing whenever she visited their dorm or joined them at the studio.
One afternoon, Jihoon invited Y/N to his studio again, but this time, the space was quieter—just the two of them.
“Thanks for making time to come today, noona,” Jihoon said, setting down two cups of coffee on the small table.
Y/N smiled, brushing her fingers lightly over the keys of the studio’s piano. “Of course. You’ve been so busy lately, I thought you might’ve forgotten about me.”
Jihoon sat across from her, his expression earnest. “Never. I just... needed to find the right moment. There’s something I’ve been working on, and I want you to hear it.”
Jihoon walked over to his computer, pulling up a file on his production software. He hesitated for a moment before pressing play.
The room filled with a soft piano melody, layered with strings and gentle percussion. It was a piece unlike anything Y/N had heard from him before—introspective and filled with emotion. As the music played, Y/N felt the weight of each note, as if it was telling a story only Jihoon could share.
When the song ended, Y/N turned to Jihoon, her eyes wide. “Jihoon, that was... beautiful. It felt so personal.”
Jihoon nodded, his gaze fixed on the screen. “It is. I wrote it for someone who means a lot to me.”
Y/N tilted her head, curiosity sparking in her expression. “Who?”
Jihoon turned to face her, his eyes meeting hers. “You.”
Y/N’s breath caught, and for a moment, the room felt still. “Me?” she asked softly, her voice barely above a whisper.
Jihoon nodded, his expression uncharacteristically vulnerable. “You’ve been such an important part of my life, even when we weren’t in touch. I never stopped thinking about you, noona. Writing this was my way of expressing everything I couldn’t say before.”
Y/N looked at him, her heart full as she absorbed his words. “Jihoon... I don’t know what to say.”
“You don’t have to say anything,” Jihoon said quickly, his cheeks flushing. “I just wanted you to know.”
Y/N smiled, reaching out to place a hand on his. “Thank you. It’s beautiful. And... it means more to me than I can put into words.”
Not long after, Y/N found herself visiting Seventeen’s dorm again, this time at Jihoon’s invitation. The members were ecstatic to see her, greeting her with the same enthusiasm as before.
“Noona!” Hoshi exclaimed, practically bounding toward her. “You’re back!”
“You’re braver than I thought,” Jeonghan teased, smirking. “Coming here willingly.”
Y/N laughed, the warmth of their welcome making her feel at ease. “I couldn’t say no. Jihoon insisted.”
“Hyung, insisting? That’s a first,” Dino joked, earning a playful glare from Jihoon.
As the evening went on, the members bombarded Y/N with questions.
“Did you know Jihoon was this grumpy when he was younger?” Mingyu asked, leaning forward eagerly.
“Was he always this short?” Seungkwan added, causing an uproar of laughter.
Y/N chuckled, glancing at Jihoon, who was now sitting with his arms crossed, clearly unimpressed. “He wasn’t grumpy. He was focused. And for the record, he was taller than most kids his age back then.”
“Thank you,” Jihoon muttered, though the faint smile tugging at his lips betrayed his amusement.
“But,” Y/N added, smirking, “he’s always had that little frown when he’s annoyed. It’s adorable.”
The room erupted in laughter, and Jihoon groaned, hiding his face in his hands. “Why did I even invite you here?”
As the night wound down, Y/N and Jihoon found themselves alone in the kitchen while the rest of the members watched a movie in the living room.
“Did they overwhelm you?” Jihoon asked, handing her a glass of water.
Y/N smiled, leaning against the counter. “Not at all. They’re wonderful, Jihoon. It’s clear how much they care about you.”
Jihoon looked at her, his gaze soft. “They’re like my second family. But... having you here feels different. It feels right.”
Y/N’s cheeks warmed at his words, and she looked down at her glass. “I feel the same way.”
Jihoon hesitated for a moment before stepping closer. “Noona, I know we’re both busy, and I know our lives aren’t simple, but... I want us to figure this out. I want you to be a part of my life, not just as my past, but as my present and future too.”
Y/N looked up at him, her eyes searching his. “Are you sure, Jihoon? This isn’t going to be easy.”
“I’m sure,” Jihoon said, his voice steady. “I’ve never been more sure about anything.”
A small smile spread across Y/N’s lips, and she nodded. “Okay. Let’s figure it out together.”
Jihoon’s heart swelled at her words, and for the first time in a long time, he felt a sense of peace.
It was late in the evening when Jihoon and Y/N found themselves in his studio again. The familiar hum of equipment and the soft glow of the computer screen filled the room. Jihoon had invited her over under the pretense of showing her a new song, but as she sat across from him, engrossed in the notes spread on the piano, his heart raced.
“Noona,” Jihoon said, his voice quieter than usual.
Y/N looked up, tilting her head. “What’s wrong, Jihoon?”
He hesitated, his fingers fidgeting with a pen. “There’s something I need to say. Something I’ve been meaning to tell you for a while.”
Y/N’s expression softened, and she set down the sheet music. “You know you can tell me anything.”
Jihoon took a deep breath, gathering his courage. “I’ve liked you for a long time. Since we were kids, actually. Back then, I didn’t understand it, but now I do. You’ve always been someone special to me, noona.”
Y/N’s eyes widened, her breath catching in her throat. “Jihoon…”
“I know our lives are complicated,” Jihoon continued, his voice steady despite the pounding of his heart. “But I couldn’t keep this to myself anymore. I like you—not as a childhood friend, but as someone I want to be with.”
For a moment, the room was silent except for the faint hum of the equipment. Then, Y/N stood and walked over to him.
“Jihoon,” she said softly, her voice trembling just slightly. “I’ve always cared about you, too. And honestly, I’ve been scared to admit it. But... I like you too.”
Jihoon’s eyes widened, and before he could process her words, she leaned down and kissed him. It was soft and tentative, and for a moment, time seemed to stand still.
When they pulled away, Jihoon’s cheeks were flushed, but he couldn’t hide the small smile tugging at his lips.
“Does this mean you’ll give us a chance?” he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Y/N nodded, her own smile mirroring his. “Yes, Jihoon. I will.”
It didn’t take long for the news to spread, thanks to Hoshi’s impeccable talent for eavesdropping.
The next morning, Jihoon walked into the dorm’s common room to find all twelve members waiting for him, their faces a mix of curiosity and mischief.
“Hyung!” Seungkwan exclaimed, pointing an accusing finger at him. “You kissed her, didn’t you?”
Jihoon froze mid-step, his ears turning red. “How... How do you know that?”
“Hoshi hyung told us,” Vernon said nonchalantly, smirking.
Jihoon turned to Hoshi, who was grinning from ear to ear. “You couldn’t keep it to yourself, could you?”
“I have no regrets,” Hoshi said, laughing. “This is the best thing to happen in months!”
Jeonghan leaned back on the couch, a sly smile on his face. “So, Jihoon, when are you bringing her over again? We need to congratulate her for putting up with you.”
“Yah!” Jihoon snapped, his embarrassment reaching new heights. “Can you all not make this a big deal?”
“It is a big deal,” Mingyu chimed in. “Our stoic producer hyung has a love life! This is historic.”
Joshua patted Jihoon’s shoulder, his tone more sincere. “We’re happy for you, Jihoon. Really. You deserve this.”
Jihoon sighed, his initial annoyance fading. Despite their teasing, he could see the genuine happiness in their expressions. “Thanks, I guess. But can you all promise not to scare her off the next time she visits?”
“No promises,” Dino said, grinning.
As the members burst into laughter, Jihoon couldn’t help but smile. Their antics might drive him crazy, but deep down, he was grateful to have them by his side.
A week later, Jihoon invited Y/N to the dorm for dinner. Despite his warnings, the members were already on high alert, eager to see her again and, more importantly, to tease Jihoon mercilessly.
“Do you think they’ve kissed again?” Seungkwan whispered loudly as they set the table.
“I bet they have,” Mingyu said with a smirk.
“Ten bucks says Jihoon will get flustered if we even hint at it,” Vernon added, leaning against the counter.
“Guys, focus,” Jeonghan said, though his mischievous grin betrayed his intent. “We need to play this smart.”
Meanwhile, Jihoon and Y/N arrived at the dorm. Jihoon gave her a reassuring look as he opened the door.
“Don’t let them intimidate you,” Jihoon said softly.
Y/N laughed. “I think I can handle it.”
The evening started off relatively tame. The members greeted Y/N warmly, though their excitement was palpable. Over dinner, they chatted about everything from music to childhood stories, most of which involved Jihoon.
“Did you know Jihoon hyung used to eat instant noodles for every meal during trainee days?” Dino said, grinning.
Y/N raised an eyebrow at Jihoon. “Really?”
Jihoon sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. “Why do you all insist on embarrassing me?”
“It’s our duty,” Hoshi said, laughing.
As the meal continued, the members kept sneaking glances at Jihoon and Y/N, exchanging knowing looks whenever the two shared a private smile or laugh.
After dinner, Y/N and Jihoon retreated to the balcony for a moment of peace. The evening air was cool, and the city lights twinkled in the distance.
“This is nice,” Y/N said, leaning on the railing.
Jihoon nodded, standing close beside her. “Yeah, it is.”
He hesitated for a moment before leaning in to kiss her. It was soft and brief, but before they could pull away, the sound of stifled laughter made them freeze.
They turned to find half the members huddled at the door, their faces pressed against the glass.
“Oh my gosh!” Seungkwan exclaimed, throwing the door open. “We caught them!”
Jihoon groaned, stepping back from Y/N. “Do you guys have no boundaries?”
“Nope,” Mingyu said, grinning. “This is way too entertaining.”
“You guys looked like a scene from a drama,” Jeonghan added, dramatically clasping his hands over his chest.
“Hyung,” Dino said, pretending to wipe a tear. “You’re growing up so fast.”
“Leave us alone,” Jihoon muttered, his face bright red.
Back inside, the members didn’t let up.
“So, Jihoon,” Joshua said with a sly smile, “how long have you been sneaking kisses behind our backs?”
“Yeah,” Hoshi chimed in. “And why didn’t you tell us? We’re supposed to be your brothers!”
Jihoon crossed his arms, glaring at them. “Because it’s none of your business.”
“Hyung, come on,” Seungkwan said. “You’ve got to give us something. Were you always this romantic, or is this new?”
“I’m not romantic,” Jihoon snapped, his embarrassment only fueling their teasing.
Y/N, meanwhile, couldn’t stop laughing. “You guys really don’t let up, do you?”
“Not when it comes to Jihoon hyung,” Vernon said, smirking.
“Alright, that’s enough,” Jihoon said, standing up. “If you’re all going to act like children, Y/N and I are leaving.”
“No!” Dino said, grabbing Y/N’s hand dramatically. “Noona, don’t go! We promise to behave!”
Y/N smiled, patting his hand. “I think I’ll be back soon enough. But for now, I should probably let Jihoon calm down.”
As Jihoon walked Y/N to the door, he sighed. “Sorry about them. They’re impossible.”
Y/N smiled, slipping her hand into his. “Don’t apologize. They’re wonderful. I’m glad you have them.”
Jihoon looked at her, his expression softening. “Still, I’ll make sure they behave next time.”
“Next time?” Y/N teased.
Jihoon smiled. “Yeah. Next time.”
As she left, Jihoon returned to the living room, where the members were waiting with smug grins.
“Don’t say a word,” Jihoon warned, though his expression held a hint of a smile.
The members burst into laughter, their teasing filling the room once more.
A week after the chaos of dinner at the dorm, Y/N visited Jihoon at the studio again. This time, the atmosphere was quiet and calm—just the two of them. Jihoon had asked her to help him with a melody he was struggling to finish, knowing her insight as a pianist would be invaluable.
“You know,” Y/N said, sitting at the piano in the corner, “I never thought I’d be working on music with you like this. It feels... surreal.”
Jihoon leaned against the desk, a small smile on his face. “I’ve always wanted to share this part of my life with you, noona. It just took me a while to get here.”
Y/N looked at him, her eyes warm. “I’m glad you did.”
As she played a soft tune on the piano, Jihoon watched her intently. Her presence in the studio felt natural, like she belonged there.
Just as they were starting to settle into the work, the studio door burst open, and Seungkwan, Mingyu, and Hoshi walked in with bright smiles.
“Hyung, we brought food—” Seungkwan started, but then froze when he saw Y/N. His grin widened. “Oh, noona’s here!”
Jihoon groaned, running a hand through his hair. “Why are you guys here?”
“We thought you’d be lonely,” Mingyu said, setting a bag of takeout on the desk. “But clearly, you’re not.”
Hoshi smirked, nudging Jihoon playfully. “We didn’t know you’d have such nice company.”
Y/N laughed, standing up to greet them. “It’s nice to see you all again.”
“You too, noona,” Hoshi said, then turned to Jihoon. “Were you two working or—?”
“We were working,” Jihoon cut in, glaring at him.
“Sure you were,” Seungkwan teased, wiggling his eyebrows.
As the afternoon went on, the members insisted on staying, claiming they wanted to “supervise” Jihoon’s work. They lounged around, occasionally offering unsolicited opinions on the music and cracking jokes at Jihoon’s expense.
At one point, Jihoon leaned over to show Y/N something on the piano. She laughed at a joke he made, and instinctively, Jihoon reached out to brush a strand of hair behind her ear.
The moment was subtle, but it didn’t go unnoticed.
“Oh my gosh, did you see that?” Seungkwan whispered loudly to Mingyu.
“Totally,” Mingyu whispered back, though his voice was anything but quiet.
“Hyung, stop being so romantic in front of us!” Hoshi exclaimed, dramatically shielding his eyes.
Jihoon sighed, straightening up. “Do you guys ever stop?”
“Nope,” Seungkwan said, grinning. “This is our entertainment.”
Later, when the members finally started packing up to leave, Jihoon walked Y/N to the door. Thinking they were finally alone, Jihoon leaned in and pressed a quick kiss to her forehead.
“Thanks for coming, noona,” he said softly.
Y/N smiled, her cheeks flushing. “Anytime.”
But before they could step apart, a loud gasp came from behind them.
“You’re doing it again!” Hoshi shouted, pointing at them.
The rest of the members rushed over, their expressions a mix of shock and glee.
“Hyung! In the studio?!” Mingyu said, feigning scandal.
“I can’t believe this,” Seungkwan said, clutching his chest dramatically. “Right in front of our takeout bag!”
Jihoon groaned, his ears turning red. “Can you all leave already?”
“No way,” Jeonghan said, grinning. “This is gold. Noona, you’ve really softened our Jihoon.”
Y/N laughed, covering her face with her hands. “You guys are impossible.”
“And you still like him?” Vernon teased.
“Don’t scare her off,” Jihoon muttered, shoving Hoshi lightly toward the door.
When the members finally left, Jihoon sighed in relief, turning back to Y/N. “I’m sorry about them.”
Y/N smiled, stepping closer to him. “Don’t be. I think it’s sweet how much they care about you.”
Jihoon softened, his usual stoic expression giving way to a small, genuine smile. “They’re lucky you think that. Otherwise, I’d never hear the end of it.”
Y/N laughed, wrapping her arms around him briefly. “I’ll see you soon, Jihoon. And next time, I’ll bring snacks for everyone.”
Jihoon watched her leave, his heart feeling lighter than it had in years. Despite the chaos, he wouldn’t trade this moment for anything.
As more fans became aware of Jihoon and Y/N’s relationship, the reactions grew increasingly varied. While many Carats supported Jihoon’s happiness, there were vocal detractors who scrutinized Y/N’s every move.
One evening, Y/N scrolled through social media, coming across both kind messages and a few harsh comments.
“Why her?”
“She’s not even that famous.”
“He seems happier, so I guess it’s okay.”
Though the positive comments outweighed the negative, Y/N couldn’t help but feel the sting of criticism. She closed her phone and leaned back, staring at the ceiling of her apartment.
Jihoon, sensing her mood during their usual phone call, asked, “Noona, is something wrong?”
Y/N hesitated before admitting, “Some of the comments... they’re a bit much.”
Jihoon’s voice softened. “I’m sorry, noona. I wish I could shield you from all of this.”
“You don’t need to apologize,” Y/N said quickly. “I just… I don’t want to make things harder for you.”
“You could never do that,” Jihoon said firmly. “If anything, you make things better. Don’t ever doubt that, okay?”
Her heart warmed at his words. “Okay, Jihoon.”
The members, true to their word, found ways to show their support for Jihoon and Y/N. During live broadcasts, Seungkwan and Mingyu casually mentioned how “nice” it was to see Jihoon smiling more often.
Hoshi, on the other hand, was less subtle. In a recent behind-the-scenes video, he joked, “Jihoon-hyung has someone special cheering him on these days. It’s no wonder his melodies are even sweeter!”
Carats quickly picked up on these moments, and the majority of fans began rallying around the idea of Jihoon’s happiness being their priority.
To escape the pressures of public scrutiny, Jihoon planned a quiet getaway for himself and Y/N. They drove to a small countryside village near their hometown, where they could relax without worrying about being recognized.
The day was filled with simple joys—walking along quiet paths, visiting small cafes, and sitting by a riverbank as Y/N played a soft tune on her piano app.
“You really love the piano, don’t you?” Jihoon asked, watching her.
“It’s always been a part of me,” Y/N said. “Kind of like how music is for you.”
Jihoon nodded, leaning back on his elbows. “You’re part of my music now, noona. You inspire me.”
Y/N’s cheeks flushed. “Stop saying things like that, Jihoon. You’ll make me cry.”
Jihoon chuckled, reaching out to hold her hand. “It’s the truth.”
As time passed, Y/N and Jihoon decided to make their relationship more public. They attended a charity event together, where Y/N performed as the opening act, playing a stunning piano solo.
Jihoon watched her from the sidelines, his heart swelling with pride. When she finished, the audience erupted into applause, and Jihoon was among the loudest to cheer.
Afterward, a few fans approached them cautiously.
“Jihoon oppa, Y/N unnie is amazing!” one fan said shyly.
“Thank you,” Jihoon said, smiling warmly. “She really is.”
Y/N, though initially nervous, found herself relaxing as fans expressed their support.
“We just want you to be happy,” another fan said.
Y/N glanced at Jihoon, her heart swelling with gratitude. “Thank you. That means so much to both of us.”
Back in the studio, Y/N became a frequent visitor. Though she usually stayed in the background, Jihoon would often ask for her input on melodies or lyrics.
One day, while working on a particularly emotional ballad, Jihoon turned to Y/N. “This song... it’s about us.”
Y/N’s eyes widened. “Really?”
Jihoon nodded. “It’s about finding someone who feels like home. That’s what you are to me, noona.”
Y/N smiled, tears brimming in her eyes. “You have no idea how much that means to me, Jihoon.”
During one of her visits to the studio, Y/N stayed late as Jihoon finished mixing a track. When he finally leaned back in his chair, exhausted but satisfied, Y/N walked over to congratulate him.
“You’ve worked so hard,” she said, brushing his hair back.
Jihoon smiled, pulling her into a gentle kiss.
Just as they pulled away, the studio door burst open, and Seungkwan, Hoshi, and Mingyu stood there, frozen in shock.
“AGAIN?!” Seungkwan exclaimed.
Jihoon groaned, his hand covering his face. “Can you guys knock?”
“No way,” Hoshi said, laughing. “This is too good.”
“I’m telling the others,” Mingyu said, pulling out his phone.
“Don’t you dare,” Jihoon said, standing up to chase him.
Y/N, meanwhile, couldn’t stop laughing. “You’ll never get a moment of peace, will you?”
Jihoon sighed but smiled, wrapping an arm around her. “Probably not. But as long as you I don't mind"
As their first anniversary approached, Jihoon found himself brainstorming ways to make it unforgettable. He wanted to show Y/N just how much she meant to him.
“Hyung,” Mingyu said one evening as Jihoon sat in the dorm’s living room, jotting down ideas. “You’re stressing out too much. It’s an anniversary, not a world tour.”
“It’s not just an anniversary,” Jihoon replied, frowning at his notebook. “It’s the anniversary. I want it to be perfect.”
Seungkwan, who was lounging nearby, chimed in. “Just be yourself, hyung. Noona already loves you. You don’t need fireworks—although, if you want fireworks, I know a guy.”
Jihoon sighed. “I’ll figure it out.”
Little did Jihoon know, Y/N was also planning something special. She knew how much music meant to him, so she composed a short piano piece inspired by their journey together. It was her way of expressing everything she felt but couldn’t always put into words.
On the day of their anniversary, Y/N arrived at Jihoon’s studio carrying a small gift bag and a folder of sheet music. She was nervous but excited.
“Happy anniversary, Jihoon,” she said, smiling as she handed him the bag.
Jihoon opened it to find a simple but elegant bracelet engraved with the words: You’re my melody.
“Noona,” Jihoon said, his voice soft. “This is perfect.”
“There’s more,” Y/N said, her cheeks flushing. She handed him the folder. “I wrote this for you.”
Jihoon stared at the sheet music, his eyes scanning the notes. “You wrote a song?”
Y/N nodded. “It’s not much, but—”
“It’s everything,” Jihoon interrupted, his voice filled with awe. “Thank you, noona.”
Later that evening, Jihoon took Y/N to a small, private restaurant he had rented out just for them. The room was decorated with fairy lights and candles, creating a warm, romantic atmosphere.
“This is amazing,” Y/N said, looking around in awe.
“It’s not much,” Jihoon said, rubbing the back of his neck. “But I wanted you to feel special.”
Y/N smiled, taking his hand. “I always feel special with you, Jihoon.”
As they ate, Jihoon pulled out a small box. “I have something for you, too.”
Y/N opened the box to find a delicate silver necklace with a tiny pendant shaped like a piano.
“I thought it would remind you of how much you inspire me,” Jihoon said.
Y/N’s eyes welled up with tears. “Jihoon, this is beautiful. Thank you.”
When Jihoon and Y/N returned to the dorm later that night, they were greeted by the members, who had planned a surprise party. The living room was decorated with balloons and banners, and a cake sat on the coffee table.
“Happy anniversary!” Hoshi exclaimed, pulling them into the room.
“You didn’t think we’d let you celebrate alone, did you?” Seungkwan added, grinning.
Y/N laughed, feeling overwhelmed by their kindness. “You guys are amazing.”
As the night went on, the members took turns teasing Jihoon about being romantic, sharing embarrassing stories, and welcoming Y/N further into their “family.”
Later, as the party wound down and the members dispersed, Jihoon and Y/N found themselves alone on the balcony. The city lights twinkled in the distance as Jihoon leaned against the railing, holding Y/N close.
“This year has been the best of my life,” Jihoon said softly. “Because of you.”
Y/N smiled, resting her head on his shoulder. “I feel the same. I never imagined we’d end up here, but I’m so glad we did.”
Jihoon turned to her, his expression serious yet tender. “Noona, no matter what happens—no matter how crazy things get—I’ll always choose you.”
Y/N looked up at him, her eyes shining. “And I’ll always be here for you, Jihoon.”
As they shared a gentle kiss under the night sky, they knew that whatever challenges lay ahead, they’d face them together.

Note
ive been in complete brainrot mode about your arcane prompts and the way you write the dynamics between cait vi and jinx. like ive just been thinking about potential scenes in this au so if its okay im just going to list down some suggestions for prompts if that’s okay?
- vi gets brought into the hospital because she spent too long in a burning building trying to rescue as many people as she could (because that’s just the kind of person she is). cait and her argue over how sometimes vi needs to put her own safety first while she treats her wounds.
(I’d actually love to read any prompts where cait just simply cares for vi emotionally/physically cause vi’s backstory too makes me froth…) i just want to put her in my pocket and keep her safe :(
- jinx/vander/vi go to the kiramman’s for that dinner party and jinx/cassandra get along super well cause they collaborate on their embarrassing childhood stories about vi and cait. a joint slay
- a cassandra pov chapter as she notices how serious cait is about vi and the little moments between them and what she thinks about vi.
- maybe a cait focused chapter about how much of an empath she is and how exhausting it is to feel so deeply and try so hard to make everything better for everyone.
Thank you so much for writing this au!
You understand these characters so well and i feel for them so much when i read your work. Your writing carries so much heart and bleeds love practically :’)
it’s been all I’ve been thinking about lately and it brightens up my day immensely when i get a notification that you’ve updated! :)
[is there anything so undoing as a daughter! anyway i tried to work most of these in in some way; cassandra pov for u :) ao3 if u want. (also cait is trans bc since this is my au there's no transphobia & i love her)]

caitlyn informs you that she's a girl three days before her tenth birthday. she cries, but she's calm, and tobias is first to take her into his arms and tell her that it's good, that it's lovely, that you'll both do everything you can to see her, to make sure she's seen the way she wants to be, the way she is. you hug her too, so tight, because it's one thing to have a son, to instruct, always, how to be thoughtful, and kind, and use all the privilege your last name carries to do good in the world.
your child is thoughtful, and kind, and determined — in spades — with the set of your brow and the blue of your eyes. you do love your child, without reservation.
caitlyn's lip trembles and you brush back her hair that you'll teach her how to take care of when it starts to grow long; she sniffles and you kiss her forehead. she will grow tall and elegant; you and tobias help her choose her great-grandmother's name and then change all of her records accordingly; you take her shopping for new clothes she picks excitedly, and a few years later she beams when she tries on a pretty, simple lace bra; you ask tobias to explain the medications she needs and help her, when she's small, to keep track of them, until she can do it herself; you hold her hand in recovery after each surgery, where she cries in relief and you wipe her tears with a gentle smile. each new stage of belonging brings with it an ease in her breath that you cherish. she grows to be fierce and funny and brave, and still always gentle.
you love her, and you see her — always, she has been yours; she had grown inside your body and you had held her first, the greatest pride and joy of your life.
but it's something you had never been able to prepare yourself for, in any circumstance: a daughter. she undoes you every day.
//
you first hear the name vi — a nickname, of all things, used formally — one sunny, cold afternoon during a late lunch after caitlyn had come over to shoot skeet, a rare day she'd finished work early.
she tells you about her weekend, how she'd climbed and it was sunny and brilliant and she felt strong.
'with jayce?' you ask.
she nods. 'we met some people we ended up climbing with, too,' she says, which is new. 'they were both really good, and very safe. vi,' she tells you, and her voice goes a little reverent, soft around the edges. 'and her sister,' she tacks on, almost an afterthought but not unkind, just not her focus. she clears her throat, a blush spreading across her cheeks, different from the flush that you're accustomed to when you shoot in the cold together. 'anyway,' she says, and you fight a smile behind a sip of tea, 'what did you and dad think of the opera?'
you laugh, but you're relieved too: no one will ever be good enough for her — not only because of the name she carries, one you had carried all your life too, but because she's a force no one can harm, as long as you have any say.
you don't ask more questions after this vi; you tell her about the opera, and then you shoot some more, one more round. she doesn't miss.
//
when caitlyn was born, you held her tight. all day long, people had been in and out to meet her, and she had been so calm. it's not what you or tobias had wanted, but she was the heir to the kiramman name and so her fortune was already set, far before you had cried in joy at the positive pregnancy test on the bathroom counter, tobias laughing delightedly, and far before she came into this world, with grey eyes that will turn electric blue and strong, tiny hands, clenched perpetually. she was so small and so new, and you handed her off to the nurse in the waning hours of the evening so you could sleep through the night.
not even two hours later, though, as the pain was really started to set in and tobias was dosing off in the chair next to you, the nurse had apologetically brought her back, bundled and screaming, her face splotched with red from crying.
'she won't stop,' the nurse said. 'we've tried everything, but she's keeping the other babies up. i'm sorry.'
you shook your head and took her back into your arms while she wailed as much as her little lungs would allow. you wondered about her, everything, because she was a person and there was so much to learn. you unbuttoned your gown and held her to your bare skin; she stopped crying, just like that. she latched onto your breast, easily, and ate a little, and then fell asleep, little sighs filling the room. tobias looks on in a very exhausted awe; you brought your lips to the crown of her head, the soft tuft of dark hair there that smelled so good, beyond anything you could have ever imaged: yours. she didn't fuss when he placed her in the bassinet a few minutes later; she slept all night, wanting just to be near you.
//
you're in your car, your driver regrettably apologizing as you get stuck in a typical rush hour traffic jam on the freeway, when caitlyn calls, a few weeks later.
'are you stuck in this traffic too?' you guess after she asks what you're doing, if you're free.
she groans. 'i was hoping to get home early, have time to decompress and shower before...'
she trails off, a pause you decide to let rest. she's always needed to tell you things in her own time.
'i have a date tonight,' she confesses, and you can hear the giddiness, the nervousness, through the phone.
you hum. 'oh?'
'yeah,' she says, and you stop yourself from chiding her about the informal word. 'i — she's amazing, mom. i just want it to go well.'
'well, you're a kiramman,' you remind her, the reminder thinly veiled under a tinge of encouragement in your tone. 'i'm sure you'll be quite impressive.'
she sighs; you know it's not the reassurance she wanted, but your family doesn't always have that luxury. she doesn't tell you anything else — instead you talk about the upcoming council vote on your latest bill, and how her meeting at work about funding cancer treatments went — and, of course, you don't ask.
//
tobias, always softer than you, especially with your daughter, asks after this vi on sunday. you meet caitlyn for brunch at your usual monthly spot, your mimosas already poured and cortados prepared as you sit down at your table.
'next month, just bring vi,' tobias says when he notices caitlyn's fire department sweatshirt underneath her peacoat. it's not too nice a restaurant for her jeans, boots, and a crew neck, but you are not normal patrons. he laughs when he says it, not disapproving in the slightest, a smirk on his face when you understand the implication: caitlyn had come from vi's home this morning, rather than her own apartment.
'it's serious, then?' you ask, and you try not to feel slighted that tobias seems to know far more about caitlyn's feelings, and vi's existence, than you: it's your own doing.
caitlyn fiddles with the corner of her napkin. 'yes,' she decides on, her smile small and tender, her shoulders soft. 'i'd like if you met her. i... well, i hope she'll be around for a long time.'
you suppose it was bound to happen: caitlyn is beautiful and smart and driven, talented and successful and, most importantly, good.
'we should meet her, then,' you decide.
//
caitlyn was in her first year of college the first time she brought home a girlfriend. you're sure she'd had girlfriends over before, a few of her friends throughout the years of secondary school giggling too much to just be interested in hanging out, as they say, but you hadn't prodded and she hadn't said. you'd always left that up to tobias, who still called her sprout and spent afternoons on long walks with her and the dogs, a daughter somehow easier to handle for him.
during winter holiday, even though university is just an hour away from your home, she brought home a girlfriend for winter holiday. this girl's family lived far away, and, for most, it's expensive to travel that distance, and so, ever generous, caitlyn invited her. you had agreed, if only because it was proper and you didn't want a fight before she even arrived.
the girl, for the most part, was uninteresting, if polite. caitlyn was enamored, but you trusted it would fade. she had been distinctly sad when she arrived home for summer break, informing you — tobias already knew, although he didn't have much of a clue about caitlyn's grades or extracurricular involvement — one day hunting that she and this girlfriend had broken things off. she'd not given you any real reason, just that it didn't work out, but you'd seen her frowning at the kiramman coat of arms engraved into a bullet. she'd loaded her gun, though, her favorite hunting rifle, when she spotted a hare, and shot perfectly without pause.
//
'and what is vi short for?' you ask, doing your best to not stare at the face tattoo caitlyn's very serious girlfriend has of her own nickname.
'oh, uh,' she responds, looks at cait and then rubs the back of her neck.
her hair is messy and asymmetrical, and the t-shirt she's wearing is quite nice, tucked into similarly nice slacks, and her belt matches the loafers you're absolutely sure are caitlyn's because you yourself had bought them for her for her last birthday — but there are more tattoos over the backs of her arms, disappearing under her shirt and emerging again on her neck. you do your best not to judge — and you don't judge people, especially your constituents — but vi is not just a person in your life. caitlyn, allegedly according to tobias, is in love with her, only a few months in.
'violet,' caitlyn says, squeezing her hand not-very-discreetly under the table, a degree of reverence in her voice that has tobias looking your way with his brows raised. 'but she prefers vi.'
you might think that vi is certainly not good enough in any way for your daughter, but you also won't force a name down someone's throat: you didn't do it with your own child, and you would never do it now. 'vi, then.'
she nods, thankful, and looks to caitlyn's hands to figure out which fork to use when your salads are delivered. unfortunately, for just a moment, it's endearing, and when caitlyn smiles, proudly, later on while vi talks about her work as a firefighter, detailing one of her latest calls where she was able to carry two children out of a burning apartment as it collapsed, nonchalant and humble about the whole thing, you see a sliver of what caitlyn does: someone brave, heroic, steadfast in her selflessness — a partner. vi eats four of the small desserts when they get placed on an elegant tray in the middle of the table; caitlyn just laughs.
//
when caitlyn turned twelve, she tried to run away. tobias, as you both frantically looked for her, hours before her party, had insisted it wasn't about her everyday life: her peers at school had been accepting and kind this year, even if she wasn't always good at making friends, and her teachers spoke highly of her performance and participation in classes; her puberty blockers had, so far, worked wonderfully, without any averse side effects.
it wasn't hard to find her, mostly because there are few places caitlyn loved more than the stables on your property; she was less interested in the horses than she was spending time with your hunting dogs. they had loved her for years, because she was always sneaking them bits of chicken from the kitchens, and also because she loved them: dogs can tell those sorts of things, you're sure.
you had found her, curled up in the hay loft, her eyes red rimmed from crying, snuggled up between the dogs, sniffling a little in her sleep. her party, an annual affair, was slated to begin in a few hours. but still, tobias had turned to you and led you out of the stables by the hand. caitlyn's presents, all kinds of gadgets she'd been interested in, and new books and toys, as well as a beautiful gown for the event, were abandoned in her room. 'just let her have a few more minutes,' he'd said, glancing back at her. you are in charge of so much, responsible for so many: caitlyn's childhood, while full of the pressures of her name and status, has been, in all the ways you deem most important, full — there are those who, certainly, have it much worse.
but still, you'd agreed, if only because she'd cried herself asleep.
//
vi is, among other things, a gifted rock climber and boxer, a very devoted older sister, a terrible shot — when caitlyn tries to teach her skeet, they end up laughing more than hitting any targets, which no amount of eye rolling on your part seems to dampen — and, you will admit, a loving girlfriend who seems, genuinely, to understand some part of your daughter that you never quite have.
it's caitlyn's birthday, and she will always have your last name, which means there is a party, all chandeliers and champagne, every year in the great room at your home in celebration of her birth. vi shows up on time, with jayce and viktor and mel, looking almost comfortable in a space like this, laughing at a joke mel says and elbowing jayce in the arm, holding viktor's drink while he situates his cane. she's handsome, in a suit you're sure caitlyn had helped her pick and get tailored: her broad shoulders fill out the jacket and her shirt underneath is unbuttoned just enough to look fashionable and not sloppy.
caitlyn is, every year, beautiful, and competent, and kisses vi quickly — still soft, still heavy with promises — before she says hello to her friends and then greets you and tobias with kisses to the cheek and then, less formally, hugs. the gown she wears this year is the same dark as her hair, hugs her hips, and is just on this side of elegant, and you know she'd worn it for one person, and one person only: vi's eyes never seem, truly, to stray from her, no matter how many rounds of boring conversation caitlyn has to wade through.
eventually, when the party is in full swing, you head back to the kitchens to check on the dessert course. you turn the corner and see caitlyn and vi sitting on the counter, in the corner of the kitchen, your head chef ignoring them fully other than a small smile directed in caitlyn's direction when she moans around a bite of grilled cheese, her favorite since she was small. vi takes a bite of her own sandwich, and then says, 'holy shit, cait, you weren't lying,' and caitlyn laughs, relaxed from the champagne she's had, sure, but also different from every other year you've celebrated her coming into the world.
caitlyn ducks her head when vi moves closer, so they're touching all along one side, hip to hip and shoulder to shoulder. the chef delivers a cupcake with a smile, one single candle in it, and then winks.
'happy birthday, baby,' vi says, takes out a lighter from her suit jacket, and lights the candle. caitlyn blows it out, looking younger than you remember in a long time.
//
vi's father immediately reminds you of her: his muscles fill out his dress shirt, and he's brash, laughing heartily with tobias, but a little shy at the same time, when he doesn't know whether or not it's appropriate to eat with his hands.
'it's a burger and fries,' vi's little sister says, rolling her eyes and digging into her own lunch — at a normal cafe near the water and their climbing gym, which caitlyn had insisted upon for this meeting — with no hesitation. she's... interesting, with a messy blue buzzcut and a denim jacket with neon spray paint all over it, shaky hands and big, bright eyes — she looks like vi but younger, softer, a different kind of weary: her own entity entirely. you've heard of her from caitlyn, sure, how she's fun and funny and requires a level of care that vi will always hold sacred, and also from jayce, from has spoken so highly of her studies, how creative and smart she is, how she has, in his words, the genuine potential to change the world. tobias asks after her arm; a few weeks ago she had needed some stitches, and she proudly pulls back the cuff of her jacket and shows him the neat scar. 'excellent work, dr. kiramman the original.'
it gets a laugh out of you, which both caitlyn and vi look a little surprised by, but jinx only grins.
'wanna hear about the time vi was trying to do a flip and her sweatpants ripped right off? she was ten.'
vi groans while vander lets out a hearty chuckle. 'do tell,' you encourage.
it's, perhaps, one of the easiest meals you've shared with caitlyn and vi, if only because they're so mutually mortified at the trading of embarrassing childhood stories between their families like the most precious currency.
'i have to say,' you decide as you're picking up the bill, and then point your last fry at jinx, 'i like her.'
she gives a triumphant ha! to both caitlyn and vi, and then shoots a finger gun in your direction, grinning.
//
caitlyn calls tobias, crying, in the middle of the night. he puts the phone on speaker, because you'd woken too, and because your heart had skipped a beat the moment he answered and you heard caitlyn's sniffle. she tells you that vi was in a building when it collapsed, that they were able to get her out but it took too long, and she's hurt, and unconscious, and just getting to the ER now. she tells you that she's picking up vi's younger sister on her way there, and she asks tobias to come in and she asks you to bring clothes and food tomorrow morning, once they know more of what's happening and how vi is doing.
you don't go back to sleep that night; you wait for any updates from tobias and schedule send emails for the morning, just to have something to do. vi might not be your favorite pick for your daughter, but she's been wholly devoted to caitlyn for two years now, and you know they're planning to put an offer in on a house soon — not subtle in her commitment, despite her best efforts.
eventually, tobias calls to tell you that vi has made it through surgery and, although they'd had to remove her spleen and stop some difficult bleeding in her liver, and despite some broken ribs and a sprained shoulder, she should be just fine. you won't admit it to anyone, but you cry a few tears of relief when you hang up; more than anything, vi makes caitlyn safe and happy, and caitlyn takes great joy in being able to offer the same in return, and you would never want that to be taken from either of them.
//
they have a fight, not soon after, only about a month. caitlyn calls you, furious, even though you're in the middle of preparing one of the most important referendums of the year; she's your daughter, so you answer.
'she's being ridiculous,' she grits into the phone. you give her a moment to gather herself, and then she continues, less aggravated, 'i know it's because she isn't good at letting people help her, and she's worked on it in therapy, i know because we've gone together too.'
you hum gently.
'she's still hurt; her ribs haven't fully healed and she just got her stitches out two weeks ago, and she still gets headaches all the time, and yet today i got home to her building shelves. with a drill and everything! and normally, like, that would be hot —' caitlyn pauses, seemingly carried away for a moment; you don't laugh, just to spare her, but you have to fight it. 'we don't need more shelves right now. i just need her to...'
when she doesn't say anything, seemingly stuck, you suggest, 'let you take care of her?'
she sighs, on the verge of tears. 'then we had an argument. but, yes, all i want to do is take care of her. she had — she had so many unkind, awful things done to her; i saw her films and scans, and — mom.'
'oh, sweetheart,' you say, accepting, understanding, for the first time, the depth of their love: the grief, the pain, the boredom and difficulty and miracle of it all. 'she's stubborn only because it can be scary, to let someone love you so completely. i know how it feels, with your father.'
she sniffles. 'i do, love her like that.'
'you'll show her. she'll let you. just talk to her.'
'do you promise?'
she sounds so young, so small; you've wrapped her up in your arms and promised things much more difficult than reconciliation between the two of them. 'yes, my dear. i promise.'
//
time moves: they have a housewarming and, although you think their brownstone is smaller than necessary, it is beautiful. jinx shows you her basement proudly, and introduces you to her boyfriend? best friend? partner? — you're not quite sure, and her rambling and his adoring laughter at it, hadn't provided any real clarification. you help set out the small finger foods they'd ordered from their favorite lebanese restaurant, and you meet so many of their collective friends. it's a happy day, with a lot of wine, and everyone is in socked feet, and caitlyn wraps her arm around vi's waist and kisses the side of her head during a quiet moment in the hall, just the two of them in their home.
they adopt a dog, a big black and white boy who they're both immediately in love with and who falls asleep with his blocky, soft head on your lap when you sit down one evening with them over the holidays to watch a movie. caitlyn adores him, sends you and tobias pictures of him on their trail runs often; they take him on climbing trips and he enjoys sleeping in the sun.
//
when caitlyn is fourteen, you sat down with her and pressed your grandfather's wedding band into her palm. 'this was, when you were small, supposed to be yours, one day.' it was thick and gold and decidedly more masculine than she'd ever want, but it was gorgeous all the same, with your family's coat of arms inscribed on the inside.
she looked a little troubled by it, sorting out her feelings: what things belong, and what things are just off. you and tobias had never asked for her to explain, only if she wanted to; she told you, years ago, who she was, and you had always believed her.
'i can hold onto it for you,' you told her, 'just in case there's ever anything you end up wanting to do with it. there's no pressure, sweetheart. just know that it's yours.'
she had let out a big breath, relaxed her shoulders from her ears. 'okay,' she told you. 'thanks, mom.'
//
vi and jinx are out of town, on some kind of trip with jinx's partner, and caitlyn hadn't been able to take enough time off of work to go with them. she's over at the house now, moping about, clearly missing the people who have now become her family too, but it's dramatic enough that it's funny.
you're not sure, it's a gamble, but you call her up to your closet. she slumps down on the bench, in running shorts and one of vi's fire department captain — a recent promotion that you think caitlyn had been more excited about than vi herself — sweatshirts; she props one knee up and rests her chin on it, then looks at you expectantly, confused but interested.
'i'm not sure if you remember,' you say, and find it easily in the back of one of your jewelry cases, 'but i thought now might be a good time to give this to you.'
her eyes get big, the same blue as yours, when you put the ring in her hand. you're certain they've both been thinking of it: marriage, everything at the heart of such a union. their love, certainly, is big enough.
'i'm not sure what size violet's ring finger is, but it should be easy to resize, if we need.'
'oh.'
'but —' you rush to say — 'if you had a ring already picked out for her, one she might like better, we can just put this away again.'
she looks away from the ring and up at you, and then she's standing, years of grace and strength, the surest, best shot you know, and hugging you. she's taller, and the crook of her sweatshirt smells very distinctly like vi's cologne and caitlyn's perfume, all at once. 'thank you,' she whispers, teary.
you have so much you could say to deflect, about the horrors of wedding planning or whether or not vi is going to take the kiramman name, but caitlyn is your daughter, and you hold her to you like she's still small, still yours.
//
you straightened the straps of the dress caitlyn had picked out, the first she's ever tried on. she took a deep breath and then raised her eyes to look in the mirror. her hair was still short, although it was growing fast, much to her relief, and her features were delicate already on their own.
caitlyn turned to hug you tight around your waist, bursting into tears. you fought them yourself, instead rubbing gentle circles along her back while she got it all out. eventually, you dried her tears and turned her around to look in the mirror again. 'you are so beautiful, my girl,' you told her, and shushed when she started crying again. 'stand with your back straight,' you instructed, 'and your chest proud. the kiramman women have always been a force, and you will be too.'
she nodded, seriously, and straightened her thin shoulders. even though her lip trembled, a smile made its way through.
//
it's an ordinary day, another lunch, sunny and bright, when they tell you.
'a girl?' you ask, just to make sure you've heard them correctly.
'well, for now, at least,' vi says, sending a wink caitlyn's way, who rolls her eyes and then laughs.
they tell you more details of the adoption that's happening sooner than you can fully wrap your head around; you and tobias the second in the family to know, just after jinx, who had only found out this morning. she was, apparently, immediately thrilled, and tobias echoes the sentiment.
'to the kiramman women who have come before,' you say, after you've hugged both of them tight and ordered a bottle of champagne, 'and to those who will lead us forward, even further.'
caitlyn rolls her eyes and the seriousness, but they're suspiciously wet, and vi wholeheartedly clinks her glass with yours.
later, vi goes to get the car and tobias is settling the bill while you and caitlyn wait outside in the sun. 'prepare for her to be your undoing,' you tell her, serious but with a mirth you can't contain.
caitlyn raises a brow. 'i haven't been that bad.'
you shrug.
'mom.'
you laugh, pat her cheek.
she smiles, so bright. you weren't sure, when she was young, if this would ever be in the cards for her, but her life is beautiful and big, a world any child would be lucky to be loved in.
you hug her again, because you can. 'you are going to be a wonderful mother.'
she's taller than you, much stronger, but she'll always be small; you hold her still. she'll always be yours.

132 or 1k for ⚖️:
---
“I’m sorry you’re feeling lonely, Chris,” Buck says. “I hope it’ll get better soon. But, you know, you can tell your dad that.”
Chris shrugs. “I… I can’t.”
“Why not?” Buck asks.
“Because then… Then he…” Chris sighs. “He wins, I guess?”
If Chris admits he’s lonely, in his mind, it’s like admitting he was wrong to come. That he’s happier with Eddie. Oh, shit.
“Oh, Christopher,” Buck says. “He doesn’t feel, won’t feel, like he’s won anything at all. That’s not the way he’s thinking.”
“You promise?”
“I promise.”
Chris nods. “I’ll think about it.”
“Okay,” Buck nods. “I’ll go tell them to stop.”
He ruffles Christopher’s hair affectionately, then walks back towards the scene of the argument, stomach twisting. They’re going back and forth about nothing, really. Whose fault something is. Eddie’s or his parents’. They need to stop.
“Hey!” Buck calls, interrupting them. Everyone stops to look at him. “He can hear every word of this.”
Eddie’s face falls. He rubs a stressed hand across his forehead, expression pinching.
“Crap. You’re right.”
“Great,” Helena says, looking almost triumphant. “Another thing he has to thank you for.”
Eddie looks lost. Buck can see the conflict running through his head. He’s right. He knows he’s right, about his mother lying to him. But he’s wrong, carrying on a fight Chris can hear. Like Buck had sort of warned him. He knows his parents will twist this against him, no matter what. He’s misstepped.
“Okay,” Eddie sighs. “I’ll go. I’m going.”
“Good. Don’t just show up again,” she says. “We need to plan these visits appropriately, Eddie.”
“Yeah, okay,” Eddie mutters. “Whatever. Come on, Buck.”
Buck follows after him like a faithful dog, avoiding looking at or accidentally coming into physical contact with Ramon or Helena. He would love to send a little punitive future their ways, but he’s not going to do that without Eddie’s permission. And, hey. They don’t get to keep Chris forever. Maybe that’s enough.
Eddie pauses in the open doorway. He looks back over his shoulder.
“Goodbye, Chris. I love you,” he calls, loud enough for Christopher to hear, but gentle enough to feel soft.
He waits, just a moment, to see if Chris will reply. The house is quiet. So they go.
⚖️
Buck drives the truck. Eddie’s in no state to be behind the wheel.
He’s… Well, Buck has seen him in worse states. Much worse states. Buck has seen him take a bat to his whole life, after all. This isn’t quite that. He’s crying, but he’s still. He’s looking out the window, eyes red and distant. He looks like he wants to disappear. He’s heard Buck’s reassurance. That Chris will come home. But he can’t feel it the way Buck does, because he hasn’t actually seen it.
“Do you want to go back to the motel?” Buck says. “Pay for another night, just in case?”
Eddie shakes his head.
“Come on, Eddie, he might-”
“Please, can we just go home?” Eddie cuts him off. His voice is strained, like it hurts him just to talk.
“Yeah, okay,” Buck says. He feels misery creeping into him. Utter misery. He sets his course for the exit that’ll take them back. “We’ll go home.”
“Thanks,” Eddie mumbles. He closes his eyes. A fresh flow of tears fall down his face.
Buck has the sudden urge to hold him. To wipe his tears away. To do anything he can to make him feel better. But he’s driving. He can’t. And even if he could, would Eddie really want that?
They drive for maybe five more minutes before Eddie’s phone starts ringing. It rings twice before Eddie, still sort of frozen and dissociated, bothers to check it.
“Fuck,” he breathes when he sees the caller ID.
“What? Who is it?” Buck asks.
“Christopher.”
Buck’s heart jumps. “Well, answer it!”
Eddie does, but he looks nervous. Like Chris might be calling to say he hates Eddie and never wants to see him again. Buck knows better.
“Chris?” Eddie answers, voice sort of trembling. “Is everything okay?”
He turns the phone on speaker, so Buck can overhear.
“Dad, I’m sorry,” Christopher replies. He’s clearly crying. “Come back. Please come back.”
Buck is already planning to turn around at the next exit. He nods at Eddie. Like, yes, on it. Don’t worry.
“Okay, we’re coming. We’re coming back,” Eddie promises. “What’s wrong, buddy? What’s happening?”
“I want to come home. Please don’t leave without me. I’m sorry.”

Are the Bear Staff Jacked and Kind? (Gn)
Currently on shift: Carmen, Luca, Richie, Sweeps, Tina, Sydney, Fak, Mikey, Marcus
TW: Lifting, mentions of weight, I kept this as gender-neutral as possible and tried to stay away from describing the reader's body type or weight, but pls reach out if there's any way I can make this more inclusive or you see anything that is upsetting <3
Thank you @laurenjbb for requesting this, I hope I did it justice! Also thanks to the person who pointed out I was missing Mikey :)
Carmen:
You had to goad him into
If you straight up ask he’s saying no, but if you say he’s just not strong enough and scared to drop you he is manhandling you sooo fast.
A smug little grin on his face as he takes a moment to cope a feel of your plush thighs.
“You were saying baby”
You would boast about how strong he is all-day
Taking any chance to squeeze at his arms (and maybe nibble on them a little bit)
He’d be so blushy at the end of the day
Luca:
As soon as Luca sees the first TikTok, he waits for you to bring it up. You’re a sucker for these TikTok trends and he’s lost track of how many you’ve asked him to try out
So he waits
And waits
And waits
And what the hell why are you not asking him to lift you up?
He wonders if you haven’t seen it yet, but he catches you scrolling through the videos on your phone in bed, so he knows that can’t be it.
What if you think he can’t lift you?
He’s not having that, not at all.
He starts doing ‘casual’ push-ups in the bedroom
Lifting as many heavy things in his arms at once as possible
Not so subtly flexing his arms every time he catches you looking.
Eventually, he just gives up and he sets it up himself, hiding his phone on the kitchen counter and asking you to come and taste test something.
You stand in front of him, searching the counter and finding nothing there for you to taste.
Before you can question it, his hands are on you and he’s lifting you up and up until you are sat on his shoulder, shrieking.
“LUCA!” You’d yell, before you realise exactly what he’s been doing, also realising what all of his weird behaviour has been about.
He watches that video on a loop whenever he misses you, bc he loves hearing your giggle
Richie:
I’m so sorry, but no matter how much you beg and ask there is no chance he is lifting you like that
He is an old man and he will break his back, no matter your size it’s not happening
He won't lift Eva onto his shoulders anymore either
If you goad him about it, you will be called a brat and you will be in for it later
Lowkey turned on whenever you call him your old man
Call him your anything and he’s weak in his old man knees
If this takes place after forks he might let you try to lift him over your shoulder
If you succeed (after forks) he is so excited and gets you to do it again and again in front of everyone.
Smugly talking about how strong his fucking s/o is
But makes you lift so much heavy shit from now on
Fak:
Fak is the one who wants to do it, might not even ask, he’ll just grab you by the waist and hoist you up
Look people might disagree but you think your man is a beefcake, he’s hauling shit around all day!
His strength is not appreciated enough
His grip is iron-tight on your thighs to keep you stable
You’re giggling on his shoulder, stealing his hat and putting it on your head so you can get a hold of his hair
He’ll just walk around with you on his shoulder for a while, just because he can
Sweeps:
Did he just hear a thud?
You get on his shoulder and your head hits the ceiling
Might be taking you to urgent care, but he’s still pretty proud of himself
Sydney:
You both try and lift each other grappling at each other's waists
Too bad Sydney has the worst sense of balance known to man because whether she’s lifting or being lifted you both end up on the floor.
Wants to keep trying because she swears she’ll manage it this time
Swears she won’t lean too far backwards this time
Swears she won’t lift you too far over her shoulder this time so you fall right off
Swears she won’t spin around and take out the lamp this time
You spend the next weekend looking for a new lamp
Mikey:
Have you seen this man?
No matter what you weigh, even if you’re Mikey carbon copy in stature this man can lift you like it is nothing
Not only will he lift you onto his shoulder like that if you ask
He’s lifting you every which way, just to show he can
Just to get you laughing and smiling
Piggyback ride, check
Princess carry, check
Bend over his shoulder like a bag of potatoes, check
Pushed up against the wall, wrists above your head, check
Marcus:
How your sweet, loving partner got so ripped when he eats so many sugared treats you’ll never understand
Can’t say you don’t appreciate it though
I feel like Marcus does this all the time already
Like let's be real, Marcus is probably the best boyfriend you could have
He rarely brings his work shit home and if he does it’s because he knows how much better you will make him feel about it all
So if doing some little lifting trend makes you happy, he’s all for it
I think along with Luca, Marcus is the only other one who sees these trends
Is probably the only one willing to let you upload videos of the two
Might ask you to do the trend together before you do, just to see your excited little grin
You swear he is your dream boy jacked a kind and remind him off it all night with sweet kisses and wandering hands
Tina
If you ask she gives you The Look
Still Hungry? Here is our Menu:
Would you love me if I was a worm?
Would you peel my orange?
Will you watch Barbie with me?
Wiping off their kisses

I don't know why, but I keep seeing fans who say they're stucky fans but they seem to like one guy and hate the other. Like some Bucky fans complain about how Steve abandoned Bucky and wasn't nice to him, and some Steve fans complain every time you talk about Bucky and his trauma, going 'What about Steve!?' It feels like you have to pick one or the other. It feels almost weird that I love about care about both of them. Why is that so difficult? Why can't you just enjoy the characters and how much they love each other?
Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear you'be been struggling with this! That sounds very tiring and a bit upsetting. First of all, I have to admit that I don't really share your experience, which might have something to do with the people I follow and the fandom bubble I'm in, in which most people share my own mindset and preferences. I almost exclusively know and follow people on here who, like me, love both Steve AND Bucky equally, and who either ship Stucky or at least care a lot about their relationship. So in my experience, everyone is just enjoying the characters and how much they love each other! I'm not saying this to be like "what are you talking about", by the way, but more to show you that it is possible to enjoy both characters and how much they love each other, without people coming at you from all sides <3
Having said that though, I am of course aware of the widespread Steve criticism (if not to say hate) that got a lottt of traction after Endgame (which, fuck Endgame), but I am personally of the opinion that if someone really thinks Steve would abandon Bucky like he did in Endgame, and you blame the character for that decision rather than the writers etc, then you don't know Steve at all, ergo your opinion on him is void, as far as I'm concerned. If I see people saying nonsense like that on here, I will either roll my eyes or just block them outright, to protect my peace. And that works really well, generally speaking.
As for Steve fans going "What about Steve!?" when you want to talk about Bucky - Although I'm sure there are some Steve fans who prefer Steve over Bucky or even don't really care about Bucky (which is wiiiiiiild to me, because how can you say you care about a character but not care about what that character cares about most at all??), generally speaking, I don't know that I see people asking "But what about Steve" as an inherent dismissal of Bucky, or people expecting others to choose sides? It may well be the case sometimes, but I doubt that's always what it means, you know? Perhaps that helps?
I think that in the fandom spaces we're in, Bucky is a lot more popular and loved as a character (especially these days, post EG) than Steve is, which makes sense considering Bucky's kind of the perfect blorbo, and there is still new Bucky content coming out, and, of course, he is just really fucking amazing and loveable. But yeah, there is no shortage of Bucky love or discussion in this fandom, which I am personally delighted about and will always do my best to contribute to as well because he is my forever blorbo too. But I guess I can see why people would sometimes feel like Steve is not quite getting the love he deserves, you know? Still though, if someone goes "But what about Steve!?" on a post that is about Bucky, that is just very annoying and unnecessary, I totally agree. If people feel that way, they should make their own post about it, not hinder others in their Bucky loving!
I do get hate sometimes from people who say I don't appreciate the characters enough on their own because I always discuss them as a package deal, but frankly, I don't really give a damn about that. I am a Stucky shipper first and foremost, and for me, these characters ARE just inextricably connected. A Steve without Bucky by his side, or a Bucky without Steve by his side, just doesn't feel right to me, which is one of the reasons why I choose not to watch any post-Endgame content. And if others have an issue with that, well, then that's their issue, not mine.
So perhaps you could try and apply that kind of mindset to your situation as well, anon? Focus on loving our boys, equally, and together, and don't let anyone get in your way! The block button and tag filters are your best friends, and following the right people - people who are kind and reasonable and who share your mindset - is essential. I don't know if this helps at all, and do let me know if you want to talk about this some more, but I hope this is useful in some way! Sending love and hugs, and ALLLLL of the love for both our beautiful boys ❤️

Alastor X Reader:
Context: When you discover it's Alastor's birthday, you want to suprise him with a thoughtful gift. But would it be one he'd like? And how would he show his appreciation?
Part 1/2
Shouting, swearing and things being thrown and broken had just startled you awake after a terrible nights sleep. Just like every other morning in the hotel. Why did Angel and Husk always have to be at eachothers throats? Just once, you'd like to wake up normally, without being disturbed. But, it wasn't like your afterlife was easy, it was hell. Groaning as you sat on the edge of the bed, rubbing the tiredness from your eyes, still hearing Angel and Husk argue like an old married couple.
"Uugghh, please shut up you two"
This was the 5th time this week they'd done this. They didn't listen to Charlie when she asked them politely to stop, well, with your eye bags and pounding headache, they were about to be asked in a more aggressive tone. Once you were dressed, you made your way down the hallway, with a face like thunder, not wanting them to fuck up your sleep anymore. When you reached the top of the main staircase, you see Angel and Husk at the bar, Charlie desperately trying to calm them down, Vaggie struggling to get Nifty down from the curtains, and Alastor is sat on the sofa with Lucifer and Pentious.
"Angel, come on, let's just go for a walk huh?"
"Why the fuck would I wanna do that Charlie?! I ain't leavin till Whiskers hear says sorry to me!"
"I already told you! Don't call me Whiskers!"
"Then don't call me fake you stupid moth'a-"
"SHUT UP!!"
You scream down the staircase, making everyone go silent. The only ones who look slightly impressed are Alastor, Lucifer and Vaggie.
"For the love of god! You guys haven't let me get a decent night sleep all fucking week! I don't care what started this stupid little argument, but it's ending now! And I swear, if you wake me up with this stupid little war of yours one more time! I'll shove a vodca bottle so far up your asses, you'll be tasting it for a month!"
"There uh, there ain't no need to be like that toots-"
"Oh really Angel? There isn't? Tell that to my fucking headaches! You've both been asked by Charlie nicely to stop, but neither of you listened. Well now, your getting it from me! Both of you, grow the fuck up!"
".............I'm sorry toots"
"...Yeh...sorry"
Angel and Husk both say, embarrassed and unable to look you in the eye, Alastor and Vaggie just chuckle under their breath.
"Good. Now, I suggest you both make yourself useful and help Charlie by doing that project she wanted you both to help her with"
"Aww! But toots-"
"(Sturn look, raised eyebrow)"
"A'right, fine. C'mon Husk"
Charlie looks so relived, she mouths the words thank you before taking Angel and Husk to the activities room down the hall. When they leave, you exhale, rubbing at your temples walking to the bar, and grabbing a drink. In fear of you still being angry, Vaggie, Nifty and Pentious slip up the stairs. Alastor on the other hand, stands up from the sofa, leaving Lucifer and sitting on the bar stool infront of you.
"Bravo my dear! I am rather impressed. I won't deny, I came very close to doing something along those lines myself. But you beat me too it! And dare I say, in a much more entertaining fashion"
"Those two have been driving me crazy! Charlie's sweet, but those two need something more firm"
"I absolutely agree. I must say, it was quite possibly one of the most enjoyable moments I've experienced for quite some time. Even more entertaining than when Charlie's little father came along"
"Eh! I'm not little"
"Aha! You keep thinking that"
Lucifer scoffed, turning away and playing with a little yellow duck in a kings crown.
"I say my dear, you do look rather exhausted. Might a nap be beneficial to you?"
"I would if I could. Even when I was alive, no matter how hard I tried, I could never nap unless I was ill or on holiday"
"Well, why not imagine your on your holiday?"
"Alastor, have you seen where we are?"
"Hm, quite right. You have a point. Ah well, at least you mother'd those two imbesils into stopping their squabbles. They shouldn't make that same mistake again, not if they want to remain unharmed"
"I'm not usually like that. Just with a lack of sleep, I don't know what came over me"
"Worry not my dear, all of us hear know your not a spiteful or nasty person. In fact, since I've known you, I have often wondered on many occasions, why you ended up in hell rather than heaven"
"That's a story for another time Alastor"
"Of course, I wouldn't want to cross your boundaries. Ah! Would you look at the time, I must take my leave. I have a scheduled time to see my good friend Rosie. You remember Rosie don't you?"
"Yeh, the nice overlord from Cannibal Town"
"That's her. I'll tell her you said hello. I do hope you have a pleasant day my dear. (Kisses your hand) And Lucifer...eh..."
Alastor flips Lucifer the middle finger as he leaves, pissing him off, his horns slightly showing when his eyes glow red. They're relationship was just as bad as Angel and Husk.
"Just ignore him Lucifer, he just wants to get a rise out of you"
"Yeh, well it's fucking working. Hey? You mind grabbing me a drink?"
"Sure, what are you having?"
"Uuuuuuuumm? I'll have an old fashioned. Oh oh! And can you put it in a wide glass? I wanna float my little ducky in there"
You giggle at his cute request, he loved his ducks. After making him a drink, he sits next to you too, floating his little duck in the drink with a giddy smile and big shiny eyes.
"Hey, can I just say, Alastor wasn't the only one who liked the way you spoke to those two"
"I kind of guessed you did. Your eyes were darting back and forth between me an them. Like a child trying to listen in on a conversation he's not supposed to"
"Can you blame me? Other than the red asshole who lives hear, your the only sinner I've seen who has the balls to raise your voice in the hotel. And heck! I remember seeing you have a shouting match with that overlord Valentino a few months ago too!"
"Yeh, well, he hurt Angel. I'll always protect my friends"
"I know. We all know that. I think that's why those two listened to you when you scolded them. Your their friend, but you can be a stern mother figure if needed to be"
"That's so weird, both you and Alastor both said the word mother, I honestly never thought that word would be used to describe me"
"Well, it is now. I think this place needs a motherly figure. Even if it's to stop the everyday chaos that happens in this place. I mean, you remember when Charlie made that birthday celebration for Nifty?"
"Oh hell yeah, I remember. (shudder) Nifty's birthday was the definition of disaster"
"Yeh, thank golly that only happens once a year. But then, Charlie wants everyone to celebrate their birthday down hear, and that's probably gunna be even worse"
"Well, I doubt Husk won't try dousing his birthday cake in bleach like Nifty did. Isn't is Husk who has a birthday next?"
"Hm? I have no clue. The calendars behind the bar"
You grab the calendar behind the bar, flicking through it as you lean on the counter, Lucifer playing with his little duck as you read.
"Hm? That's interesting. Turns out the next person to have their birthday is Alastor"
"What?! Why do we have to celebrate HIM?! He's such an ass! Every single time he's hear, he always does something to piss me off!"
"Not everyone in hear hates him Lucifer. I know you and Husk do, it's understandable why Husk does, and with you, I think he just enjoys making you angry"
"Who the hell does like him then?!"
"Charlie does. Nifty, Angel enjoys trying to get a rise out of him sometimes. I like him too"
"Why?! He's a dick!"
"He's a dick to you. He hasn't behaved that way with me since we've met. If anything, he's been a real gentleman"
"Yeh, gentleman my ass!......Although, you do kind of have a point. I've seen him be nice to Charlie and Nifty, definitely more with you. You never know, he may have the hots for you. Don't fall for his bullshit if he does!!!"
"Lucifer, relax. You do know Alastor's Asexual right?"
"Huh?"
"He's not into sex"
"Not into!!-How the hell can someone not be into that?! Sex is awesome! I mean, me and Lilith back in the day, eheh, bow chick'a wow wow!"
"That's you Lucifer. Not everyone can like the same things"
"I just didn't know that about him. Right! I'm gunna tear him a new one about it!"
"No"
"What?!"
"Your not gunna do that"
"But why not?! I'm the king of hell! I can do whatever I like! Why-why'd you say no?"
"Think about it Lucifer. You'll be lowering yourself to his level"
"Oh shit, yeh"
"And your own daughter said this hotel is about bettering yourself. Don't copy Alastor's behaviour, rise above it. Have you ever heard of the phrase, kill them with kindness?"
"Well yeh, but how can-oooooooooohhh! I see what you mean!"
"Anytime he wants to make you angry, be positive. Because in failing to wind you up-"
"It'll drive HIM crazy! Yes! I love it! Thank you sweetie"
"Don't mention it. And, don't give him something condescending for his birthday either"
"Not even a duck in the shape of a big-"
"I know what your about to say, and it's a firm no"
"Nnuugghh ok. I'll....be nice to him or whatever"
"Good. Hey? Did I just hear your name?"
"Hm? Oh, I hear it too. Sounds like Charlie. I'll go see what she wants. See you later Y/N"
"See you Lucifer"
You can't help but chuckle, watching Lucifer jump down and dance towards the hallway, little duck in hand. Now it was just you, in blissful silence, ah it was wonderful. You knew it wouldn't last long, but it's nice to have it while you can. As you enjoy the peace, you look back at the calendar, seeing Alastor's name written on the page. You did wonder to yourself, what he would like, or even if he wants a gift? And his birthday was happening tomorrow, it was time to have a think. Later that afternoon, Alastor came back from his morning with Rosie, and saw you sitting on your own in the hotel lobby.
Tumblr media
"Good afternoon my dear! How has the day been for you?"
"It's been nice thanks, Pentious and Nifty came through a few times, but everyone else seems to be busy doing their own things. How was Rosie?"
"Ah she was delightful, a lovely morning was had by all, haha! (Sits down next to you) What are you reading?"
"This? It's The Great Gatsby"
"Ah! I read that book before I died! I do believe it was published about 10 years before I ended up hear. It was a great read if I remember correctly"
"Did you know they made a film of it?"
"But of course! In 1926"
"Not just in 1926"
"I beg your pardon my dear?"
"Yep. They made it into a film two more times. The second time in 1949, and again in 2013"
"I say! One might think they would like to leave a classic alone once it's been put on the noisy electronic box. But they truly did it 3 times? I never witnessed any of them myself. The book shall be my only knowledge of the classic tale"
"To be honest, you weren't missing anything. I saw the latest film before I died, but I wasn't a fan. I much prefer the books"
"Aha! And that is why I truly enjoy your company my dear. Ahh, I sometimes believe you are the only person in this whole building whose company I genuinely like"
"Really?"
"Of course!"
"That's so sweet Alastor, thank you"
"Don't mention it. Actually, now that I have you hear for a moment, I did have a subject I wished to bring up with you"
"Oh? What's that"
"It's something I was waiting the right time for. More specifically, a time where none else was around to listen in on us. As you well know, I like to keep my life private, unless I choose to share it"
"I do"
"Well......as you are aware, aswell as a few of the sinners in this hotel....my....passions....desires.....they are not.....exactly the same, as everyone else. Case in point, my desires are almost on the opposite spectrum of someone like Angeldust"
"Yes. I remember when you told me about that"
"And while I do not enjoy or wish to take part in any form of sexual affection....it does not mean I retain from all forms of showing my appreciation. I don't know if you were aware, of me kissing your hand goodbye whenever I leave your company? And noticed that I do not do that with any other lady"
"I...may have noticed, yes"
"Well, that is my way of showing my affection to you. But there are times, I wish....I wish for your hand...to be your lips...."
"Alastor...I'm flattered"
"Thank you....but my question to you is....is this feeling...reciprocated?"
"(Blushing, tucking hair behind ear) It might be"
"My darling, if it pleases you, I would never much like to show you how much you mean to me. But as you know, being the radio demon and a powerful overlord hear in hell-"
"You'd rather keep what might happen between us, private"
"Indeed. But please understand when I say, it is not that I do not wish to be seen with you in public as my partner, I very much do. But if Vox or the other V's see you at my side as my partner, you may be at risk of being targeted by them, and you may be in danger because of me. I need to make sure I am strong enough to protect you against any of the V's"
"It's ok, I understand. To be honest, I'm not one of those people who loves to parade around the streets with a boyfriend. I'd rather spend my time with them, enjoying their company"
"Absolutely! But I promise you this, if this is something you wish to be a part of, we will walk hand in hand, side by side after a sensible amount of time. Once I know I am strong enough to take on and win against all the V's, I will not have to worry about your safety. Because your safety, my dear... is my highest priority"
"That's very considerate of you"
"(Chuckles lightly)"
Alastor's smile looks genuine right now, you can tell by how gentle his eyes were. Taking your hand, he places a kiss on the back like he always does.
"Alastor?"
"Hm?"
"I think you have a new target....don't you think?"
".....Aahh....my pleasure my dear"
Feeling his fingers delicately hold your chin, he looks deep into your eyes. Looking desperately at your lips, but lovingly into your eyes. He leans in closer, you can almost feel his lips, so close-"
"Hi guys!!"
You both sit back a little, a little spooked by Lucifer barging through the hotel doors, loud and proud.
"Whatcha both up to?"
"We were enjoying a peaceful conversation before you very rudely interrupted us! One might say, it was very inconsiderate to barge in on someone's conversation, without adequate reason"
"Ah get over yourself! This hotel's a free place! And my daughter runs it, so yeh! Hey hey Y/N! Wanna see the new little ducky I made today! Look look!"
Lucifer bounds over to you and Alastor, but only speaks and looks at you.
"Isn't he just adorable!!"
"Well, yes he is Lucifer. But uh? Why does he have a bottle of whiskey?"
"That's because I'm making little ducks of everyone in the hotel! It was Charlie's idea, but I like it! This one's the bartender"
"You mean Husk?"
"Oh! That's his name! I keep forgetting-"
"Excuse me! If you wouldn't mind, me and Y/N were actually in the middle of a rather important discussion"
"Oooooh! I'm so scared! What are you gunna do? Talk me to death?"
"Something like that can surely be arranged-"
Very quickly, you intervene, standing between them both when Alastor stood up, eyes darkening, and Lucifer smirking.
"Woh woh woh! That's enough! Both of you!"
"My dear, if he insists on causing an issue, I am in more than happy to deal with it"
"Awww! Is someone a little tetchy? Knowing your becoming an old man getting to you huh?"
"What?! How did you know I am to be-"
"It's on Charlie's calendar, dipshit!"
"That's it-"
Again, having to push them apart, this time, Alastor really looked like he was going to attack Lucifer.
"Alastor! Alastor look at me!"
You say calmly, taking his face in your hands, making him look at you.
"Look at me. Take a deep breath, in....and out...in....and out..."
If anyone else had asked him to do that, or touched his face, he'd push back. But because it was you, he didn't mind, and it was genuinely calming him down, even his eyes had changed back from black to red.
"That's it. Ok, we can finish our chat another time, but for now, why don't you just take some time to calm yourself in your radio station? You've told me thats your happy place. Please Alastor, please don't let this escalate anymore"
"........Alright my dear.......I'll take some time.....I shall see you soon"
His shadow engulfs him, sending him up the stairs and on his way to the radio station.
"Ah man, can you believe that guy? He gets so-"
"You know what Lucifer? I can't believe you!"
"Wait, what?"
"Didn't listen to a word I said today? About not lowering yourself to that level? Not doing to him what he does to you?"
"But I-"
"But nothing! You agreed to have a better attitude when your around Alastor and you've just thrown all of that out of the window!"
"I can argue with whomever I want Y/N! I'm the king of hell after all!"
"And your in this hotel to support YOUR daughter! Have you forgotten that? Stop acting like a child and at least try to make something work with Alastor"
"Why? Because you'll be disappointed?"
"Because this is Charlie's dream! You can't see how hard she's working to actually help people, and instead of doing what a father should be doing, your picking fights with Alastor! Stop acting so childish and help you daughter! I shouldn't have to tell you that!"
You can't talk to him anymore, and storm up the stairs.
"But Y/N wait! I...I AM trying to help Charlie"
"Then pack in whatever this is with Alastor, or at least try. Because it's going to be Charlie who's going to be affected. Just think about that"
Lucifer just stood there, frozen, feeling guilty, because he knew you had a point about Charlie and how hard she's been working to make this hotel what it is.
Tumblr media
You on the other hand, slammed your bedroom door shut behind you, running your hands though your hair, headache pulsating in your head. This place would drive you insane some days. You throw yourself onto your bed, snuggling up with your pillow, wanting just 5 minutes of peace. But again, you lived in a hotel with many others. Three gentle knocks came to the door.
"Nngguuhh! Please go away....."
"(Muffled voice behind the door)....Toots? It's me. Can I come in?"
His voice sounded so innocent, sweet. Normally, Angel would be all proud, sometimes seductive with the way he spoke, but this sounded genuine.
Tumblr media
"Yeh. Come in"
You say, sitting up on your bed, seeing Angel enter your room with a little smile.
"Hey. How yah doin?"
"I've been better. I just can't shift this headache"
"Well hear. (He says pulling out a packet of paracetamol) Maybe these will help?"
He sits down next to you on your bed, handing you the tablets.
"Thanks Angel"
"It's no problem. Hey uh...I just wanna say sorry for the way I've been actin recently. I dunno, I guess Husk just brings out that side of me. I swear, I didn't know I was wakin yah up"
"It's fine Angel. I feel like I should say sorry too for the way I spoke to you and Husk"
"Oh no no toots! What you did was great!"
"Wait, seriously?"
"Hell yeh! Me and Husk both said it was like a moth'a tellin off her kids! And I think we both needed that. Honestly toots, you didn't do nothin wrong"
"Ok, that's a worry off my mind"
"Can I uh.....can I share somethin with yah?"
"Of course"
"Having someone moth'a me like that.....I actually liked it. Not cuz I'm into strong, independent women, well, I am but that's not the reason. Since I died, I hadn't really had that feelin of being around family, and well......my moth'a used to keep me and my sister from having fights like that too.....you kinda.....remind me of my mom"
"....I do?"
"Yeh....and it's nice. It feels like with you, I've got part of my family down hear that cares about me. I know that's probably stupid of me to say-"
"Angel. That is the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me. I feel honoured that you see me like that"
"(Sighing in relief) I'm glad toots. Thanks, for everything"
"Come hear"
You and Angel share a sweet and tight hug, all 8 of his arms held you.
"I'll always be hear for you Angel"
"So will I toots, I promise"
A good 20 minutes had passed, just chatting with Angel in your room. Talking about the afterlife, his fights with Husk, and you take some paracetamol in that time too.
"Hey toots! Have yah thought about what your gunna get smiles for his birthday yet?"
"I'm not sure to be honest. He's a tricky guy to buy for, I'm not sure if he'd even like receiving gifts"
"Well.....you could always.....wait in his room, wearing nothin but a little bow around your neck..."
"Angel! That's-wait? Why would you-"
"I maaay have been walking past the lobby when Alastor and you were talking"
"Angel"
"Don't worry toots, your secret's safe with me. But dayum babe! You've got the radio demon himself wantin yah! You've gotta admit, that's awesome!"
"It is lovely being around him, I can't deny that"
"So? You gunna take my advice?"
"I would, if Alastor was into that"
"Oh yeh! He ain't is he? Damn it. Well, I have no clue what to get him. I don't know him that well"
"I've been trying to think of things that would remind him of happier times, or his memories when he was alive. Something like that, but I've had no luck just yet"
"Hm? That's interesting. Wait! Didn't he live in new Orleans?"
"Yes! He did!"
"Sweet! I'll think of something to do with that! Listen toots, I've gotta go now, but I'll catch up with yah lat'ah"
"Alright Angel, see you soon"
When he left, you tried to have a good long thing about what to get Alastor for his birthday. He was sometimes fond of trinkets, eh, not good enough for a birthday present. Come on think. He enjoys his radio, taking long strolls through pentagram city, spending time in his room that's also part swamp-huh! That's it! Angel had a point about New Orleans, Alastor lived there, and you were the only one he confessed to about his life before he died. And he had the swamp in his room for a reason, to remember. The perfect idea came to your mind, and that was it, you knew exactly what to get him. Getting out your phone, you search for any place you can go to 'acquire' this suprise gift. Hm? The only place that could have some luck is in the Wrath Ring. Somewhere called Rough 'N Tumbleweed Ranch, well, it's better than nothing. The next day was Alastor's birthday. And down stairs in the lobby, you walk up to Charlie, who was bouncing with excitement.
"Oh hey! Hey Y/N! What are you up too?"
"Just on my way out to get Alastor his gift. What about you?"
"Ooooooh! Exciting!! Well, I'm just trying to plan the theme for Alastor's party tonight. I'm not quite sure what to go for. What do you think? (Shows you her note book) big blue and sparkles? Or big red and sparkles?"
"Umm, somehow, I'm not sure Alastor is a sparkles kind of guy"
"Yeh your right. Ugh, I just don't know what theme to do, I'm stuck"
"I know, why not do a 1920's theme? Get everyone to dress up in clothes from that time, and maybe serve his favourite food? Jambalaya. And don't forget, he isn't a fan of sweets, so he wouldn't eat a normal cake. Try putting a candle on a roasted duck? He's said before that he likes that meat, and carving a slice would probably make him happy. And maybe the party food could be similar to the 1920's too? Like deviled eggs, waldorf salad, dutchess potatoes, shrimp cocktail, canapes, olives, or maybe oyster rockefeller?"
"Yes yes YES!! Oh thank you Y/N, your a genius! I'm writing everything you've just said down! (Squeaks) This is going to be perfect! Thank you thank you!"
"I can give you a hand later, but for now, I need to get going"
"Yes! Of course! Go go! Me and the others can make a start on this party, thank you again Y/N! See you soon!"
"Bye Charlie!"
And with that, you were off. Leaving the hotel as Charlie bounds with joy in the background. Taking a walk to the streets, you flag down a taxi and give him the directions to the ranch you saw online. It was a fair distance away, but you were happy when you arrived there, seeing the sign as the taxi pulled over.
Tumblr media
After paying, you headed in and looked around for anyone, apparently, this place was owned by an imp family, who had many things in and around their ranch.
"Hey there! Can I help ya'll?"
"Hi! I'm Y/N. I hope you don't mind the drop in, but I saw your ranch online, and see that you sell things to people who offer a good price?"
"Thats right, what're yah wantin today? We've got vehicles and animals available"
"Can I look at your animals please?"
"Sure thing darlin, follow me"
This lovely imp lady takes you to a fenced area, with 2 types of animals already.
"Hear yah go darlin, we've got horses and hogs hear, I'll haggle the price depending on which size you choose"
"These are lovely animals, but I was just wondering if you had something that prefers to stay close to water? Or swampy areas?"
"Ah! I hear yah. Let me take you to the edge of the ranch, we've got a few little critters back there for sale too"
A short walk later, a marshy tree covered green pond, that's also fenced in securely, seems to have many more animals.
"A'right, we've got Hattie over there. She's a water snake, a little bitey though. Over there we've got Wade, the snapping turtle. Be careful around him, he'll snap your fingers off before you can say fuck! And over there we've got Dutchess, she's actually just had a new litter of babies about 2 weeks ago. Their quite cute when they're youngens, and surprisingly easy to train. So all these little thangs are perfect for swampy areas, just take your pick"
"Would it be ok to buy one of Dutchess's babies?"
"Of course yah can! We've got little animal carriers too for yah to take one home. Ya'll fussed about the sex?"
"If it's possible, could it be a female?"
"Absolutely. She only had one boy outta 5 girls. Let me just grab one, yep, this ones definitely a girl. She's at least 2 pounds, and a healthy one too. I'll give her to yah for 200 bucks"
"Sold!"

uh hi i was planning on posting a timjay fic for christmas but uh. that obviously didn't happen, and i have no idea if i'm ever going to finish it now, but it'd be a shame to let it rot in my notes, so. here is my partially finished timjay christmas fic :]
Christmas time always makes Jason astutely aware of just how alone he is. He’s seen the creepy spy camera footage of the Wayne holiday party. Not the one hosted by Brucie Wayne, but the real one, where Dick and Bruce try their damndest to make nice for Damian’s sake, and everyone pulls the Christmas crackers and gets overly excited for the shitty prizes contained within.
They’re always an intimate affair, Bruce, Alfred, Dick, Cass, Damian, and sometimes Tim. Jason feels his own absence deeply when he sees them, but he doubts they do. He won’t ask Bruce if he gets an invite, and he won’t admit it’s because he’s scared to hear the answer. The entire point is moot anyways, considering that even after all of these years he’s been playing nice with the Bats, and he still refuses to set foot in the manor.
He’s sitting on a high rooftop at the edge of Burnley and Newtown on Christmas Eve, watching shoppers and retail employees stumble home while the night shift and partiers take up their place. The city is bustling at this time of night, with street lights flickering and car horns honking. He can almost pretend he’s part of something, even from all the way up above it all.
Just as he’s trying to gear up to start patrol in earnest, a shadow goes flying by two buildings across from him. He watches the figure with mild interest, until it comes into the light and he can make it out to be Red Robin.
Jason wonders what he’s doing out here, sure, crime doesn’t stop for anyone’s birthday, even if that birthday belongs to Jesus himself, but It’s usually on a lesser scale around this time. Typically they can get away with having Jason keep an eye on the city with the help of a police scanner and have everyone else available for backup.
Jason watches as Tim gets closer and closer on each swing, until he lands next to him with a flourish that is found in everyone who has ever held the Robin mantle. Jason shifts slightly so he’s angled towards Tim and asks “What are you doing here Birdy?”
Tim plops down next to him with a big huff, from here Jason can see Tim’s face better. The domino only covers his eyes, and with them hidden he looks younger than he is. It’d drive Tim crazy if he said something about it, if he pointed out how even after all these years protecting the streets, the people probably still think he’s a high schooler, but to do that he’d have to admit he was staring, so he keeps quiet.
“The party was too…” Tim makes a nonsensical gesture with his hand, waving it back and forth and twisting a bit at the wrist “y'know?”
“There are so many” Jason replicates Tim’s motion “that you could be talking about that I honestly have no clue man.” This elicits a chuckle from Tim and seeing him smile, even so minutely, makes Jason realize that he’s quite sure Tim hasn’t done so at all since he landed.
Soon TIm’s shoulders fall once more and he looks down at his boots, one is bouncing along with his knee. He opens his mouth without saying anything a couple of times, little starts and stops of a sentence, until he settles on a simple “It’s been five years since my dad died.” He pauses for a good little while again, fiddling with the seams on his gloves until they’re perfectly aligned. “Christmas and Bruce and just… All of it makes me think about him on a good day, it got to be too much and I… Left.”
Jason takes that in slowly, he can’t say he hasn’t been feeling the same. He knows that Tim holds guilt over his fathers death. Jason can’t quite understand how that feels, except for in the way that everyone who has ever been left alive feels guilty that someone they loved did not. Regardless, he knows it must weigh something horrible on the other man.
What a pair they make. Waiting for Christmas together and yet not. Both alone by a self imposed prison of grief, while the people they love sit happily in front of the glow of the fireplace.
At least the person Tim is mourning is actually dead.
Jason realizes he’s been sitting there a bit too long without saying something so he shuffles a little so he can knock shoulders with Tim.
“I miss my Mom, Catharine that is. Especially around Christmas time. She loved Christmas.”
Tim twists so he can look at him, and the expressive way his lenses widen to stare at him has to be a security risk. “My Dad loved Christmas too. At least in the last few years. He, and I, and Dana would drive out to see the lights every year. Dana hated turkey, said it was always dry and tasteless, but Dad was determined to get her to like it, so we’d all crowd into the kitchen and try to make an actually good turkey. I don’t think Dad liked turkey that much either to be honest.”
Jason’s pretty sure Tim hardly breathed for that whole story. Jason and Tim are friendly to be sure, but Tim rarely if ever speaks up for much more than witty one liners, challenges to air hockey, Mario Kart, or rooftop racing, and mission briefs when it’s him and Jason.
Jason knows Tim has it in him to be chatty. He’s seen him talk Superboy’s ear off about skateboarding and he’s crashed at Dick’s apartment enough times to be used to finding Tim sitting at the kitchen island prattling on about his Wizards & Warlocks games, but that doesn’t usually extend to him.
Even just that short little story, especially about something so personal, feels foreign to Jason. He’d long since given up on anything more than a working friendship with Tim, especially after the less than warm reception Tim gave him when Bruce took him on as Wingman. He doesn’t want to get his hopes up, Tim is clearly lonely and hurting, but he can’t help it.
“Mom and I would rent skates for the evening for the frozen trails in Robinson Park. Have you ever been? They’re so pretty at night.”
When Jason chances a glance over at Tim he finds him smiling at him. He can’t see his eyes but his lips are quirked up minutely at the corners. Jason’s glad he made the right choice there, he didn’t know Tim well enough to say if ‘bond over dead parents’ was an acceptable conversation direction.
“I’ve never been no. I hardly knew how to skate until Bruce taught me.” Tim drums his fingers on the ledge before he adds “Do you want to go? It probably won’t be too busy with how cold it is tonight. You do have skates in your uniform don’t you?”
Jason startles a little, he kind of figured Tim would be on his way soon. He’d either work through his Bruce issues and head back to the manor, or he’d call Superboy and hang out with Young Justice. But he seems pretty settled on hanging with Jason for some reason.
“Uh, sure yeah. I do. We can do that.” Jason’s always thought it would be more practical to have high tech no-slip boot soles instead of extendable skates in their uniforms. Yet, he couldn’t bring himself to axe the design after years of twirling around Mr. Freeze on skates as a child. Stupid Bruce.
the plan from here was that they were going to go skating and then tim would invite jason to spend christmas with him and dana and they'd cook a turkey together <3 but. alas.

Liane Pissing Off Ji-Hoon and Vice Versa 🔥❄
A tale of two frenemies, featuring @calmbeforezero and cameos from @ask-missparker
Tumblr media Tumblr media
WARNING: May contain ice puns, snow jokes and general frenemy fuckery. And mild threat.
Ji-Hoon: This stupid game! How do you keep winning?
Liane: Years of practice...no seriously years.
Ji-Hoon: Dammit!
Liane: Hey Ji...
Ji-Hoon: Don't you dare...
Liane: You could always just...Let it Go...
Ji-Hoon: *leaps up* That's it! I will turn that smiling face into an ice sculpture!
Liane: *runs away laughing*
🔥
*Ji-Hoon showing off a potential new suit*
Liane: You look really stupid.
Ji-Hoon: *grumbles* I feel it.
Mia: He doesn't.
Liane: You look like an absolute tool.
Ji-Hoon: Mia will you tell her?
Mia: Stop it, Felton.
Liane: You look like one of The Incredibles..
Ji-Hoon: *sighs*
Liane: Frozone!
Ji-Hoon: Right if you make one more comment about me in these suits, or just about me in general- listen to me! I am taking those shiny Louboutain heels- you hear me, and I will shove them up your ass! Okay?
Liane: *goes silent*
Mia: Yeah it's just a case of tweaking it here, lengthening the sleeve here, we'll do that of course.
Ji-Hoon: Yeah. It's not bad, is it?
Liane: Yeah it isn't actually. *pause* Jack Frost.
Ji-Hoon: Right c'mere!
Liane: *squeals, running away*
🔥
Mia: Dinner's ready. Liane go get Ji-Hoon from his room- oh wait no-
Liane: Too late! *runs to his door* Ji-Hoon? *knocks five times rhythmically* Do you wanna build a Snow- *gets hit in the face with a lot of snow*
Ji-Hoon: *smiles through the door* Now what did you actually come to say?
Liane: *her eyes glow purple through the snow, melting the snow to vapour with her fire* Dinner's ready...
Ji-Hoon: Excellent.
Mia: *from the kitchen* WHY IS THE SMOKE ALARM GOING OFF!?
Ji-Hoon: She started it.
Liane: Ooh you-
🔥
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ji-Hoon: See, the problem is, Liane, you’re playing 3D chess. I’m playing 4D.
Liane: I’m playing checkers. I don’t know what the fuck you’re playing.
🔥
Liane: We should normalize not loving family members.
Ji-Hoon: You can just say: “I hate my dumb fuck brother” or whatever. Talk like a normal person!
🔥
Ji-Hoon: Are you alright?
Liane: Short answer or long answer?
Ji-Hoon: Short?
Liane: No.
Ji-Hoon: Long?
Liane: Nooooooo.
Ji-Hoon: You skipped therapy again, didn't you?
Liane: I- ugh!
🔥
Ji-Hoon: I think you're still suffering the effects of the party last night.
Liane: All I drank was Redbull!
Ji-Hoon: How many?
Liane: Eighteen.
Ji-Hoon: I will freeze you if I have to.
🔥
Tumblr media Tumblr media
*Ji-Hoon and Liane are texting*
Ji-Hoon: Who are you? Someone changed the names in my phone.
Liane: What did they change my name to?
Ji-Hoon: Chosen One.
Liane: Don’t change it back.
Ji-Hoon: BUT WHO ARE YOU?!?!
Liane: I’m the chosen one.
🔥
Ji-Hoon: What the hell is wrong with you?
Liane: I have this weird self-esteem issue where I hate myself but still think I’m better than everyone else.
Ji-Hoon: Pretty sure that's genetic...
🔥
Liane: Why is it so hard for you to believe me?!
Ji-Hoon: ...
Liane: Oh, right. The lying.
Ji-Hoon: And the incessant teasing, the inflated ego, the...pinkness.
Liane: Alright! Geez, just give me the cold shoulder already.
Ji-Hoon: *glares*
Liane: *beams* You love me really.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
🔥
Liane: *venting endlessly to Ji-Hoon about their week*
Ji-Hoon, every once in a while: *in a monotone* Wow, that is so wild.
Liane: Are you even listening?
Ji-Hoon, deadpan: Absolutely.
Liane: Okay good. So anyway-
Ji-Hoon: *puts in earphones*
🔥
Liane: *playing Into The Unknown over JARVIS speakers, singing along*
Ji-Hoon: Could you be anymore annoying?
Liane: Yes.
Ji-Hoon: Ask a stupid question...
🔥
Liane: Hey, can you do me a favor?
Ji-Hoon: Sorry, I have to go do literally anything other than this.
Liane: You don’t even have a legitimate reason?
Ji-Hoon: Oh, no, I do.
Liane: Well, what is it?
Ji-Hoon: You see, I simply don’t give a fuck.
Liane: Dammit!
🔥
Ji-Hoon: I'm going to say this very slowly in the hopes you understand. Felton, you can't do this without supervision.
Liane: I am a responsible adult!
Ji-Hoon: *raises brow*
Liane: I am an adult.
Ji-Hoon: You are a problem.
Liane: I'm your problem. For the next forty-eight hours.
Ji-Hoon: Right.
🔥
Liane: *softly singing Frosty The Snowman*
Ji-Hoon: Enough! How dare you mock me in such a manner!?
Liane: Well. How would you like me to mock you? I take requests.
Ji-Hoon: No references to Elsa, Jack Frost, Frosty the Snowman, Frozone or The Snow Queen.
Liane: Well, dammit.
🔥
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Liane, peeling a banana: May I take your jacket, sir? Hahahaha.
Ji-Hoon: Do you think other people can’t hear you?
Liane: Do you think you're cool when you act all brooding and snarky?
Ji-Hoon: Yes I do.
🔥
Liane, carrying a box: What would you say if- if I, hypothetically, came home with 7 kittens one day?
Ji-Hoon: …
Ji-Hoon: What’s in the box?
Liane: What woul-
Ji-Hoon: Liane, what’s in the box?
Liane: I think you know.
Ji-Hoon: Felton! You are not a childless cat lady!
Liane: I could be!
🔥
Liane: No, this is not a mess. You know what I consider a mess?
Ji-Hoon: Your life?
Liane: I- well yes, but- shut up!
🔥
Ji-Hoon: Are you tall enough to play basketball though?
Liane: Are you calling me short?
Ji-Hoon: I'm calling you vertically challenged.
Liane: Bite me, Elsa.
Ji-Hoon: Oh you're going down.
🔥
Liane: Good morning!
Ji-Hoon, checking their watch: Barely.
Liane: It's morning somewhere.
🔥
(Liane and Ji-Hoon go undercover)
Ji-Hoon: This is Liane, she's… not my assistant, some other word.
Liane, smirking: I’m his carer.
Ji-Hoon: Yeah, my carer. She cares so I don’t have to.
🔥
Ji-Hoon: Your problem is that you’ve got no common sense.
Liane: I’ve got plenty of common sense!
Liane: I just choose to ignore it.
Ji-Hoon: That's the most coherent and honest remark you've ever made.
Liane: Aww thanks! *hugs him*
Ji-Hoon: I hate you.
Liane: I know.
🔥
Hope you enjoyed! And yes the long one is an adapted version of a scene from Britcom Gavin and Stacey.

Isekai where Darcy/Jane hit Thor with their van and Thor wakes up as a precious princess character of some fairytale world. Things progress as they tend to in isekai with some poor romantic interest villain character inadvertently ending up around him. Thor wants to get out of this world so bad and is subtly trying to drop hints for the villain guy to spill info on how to dimension hop. It soon becomes evident that Loki was also isekai’d and is stuck as the story’s villain.

Another legendary part to the comic… MAN this one is fun!
So, this is for everyone at the casino, have you all ever played truth or dare and if so, what are some of the craziest things people have done or admitted? Since cuphead’s pranks are usually always so extreme do any of you use it as way to get back at him? (Since I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t say no to a dare ever)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(MORE UNDER CUT, THIS IS ONE LONG-ASS SON-OF-A-BITCH ASK)
…Prev ♠️        ♦️ Next…
Keep reading
#Classic truth or dare game lmao#id be terrible at the game tho#love how Devil just saw Cuphead and was like: aight time to take out the trash again. Like bro didn’t even question it#He only got confused after he came back up#He saw Chips in a flapper dress and was like “wtf”#what is the best part of all this tho isn’t the chaos and destruction (even though it is very very entertaining lmao)#it’s how everyone is all concerned and keeps asking Mangosteen where Cuphead is and if he’s safe#they’re all trying to hide their concern appearance-wise but in their voices you can hear the worry clear as day#It’s so sweet to me idk why#BUT!! Notice how Cuphead is hardly even affected by the DEMON ONLY BOURBON????#I consider this as foreshadowing of sorts. Compare this to Mugman who would absolutely KILL to be able to do that.#Muggy would torture people just to be able to say he drank a demon-only bourbon and SURVIVED WITH MINIMAL INJURY! AND ENJOYED IT.#If he was paying attention in that moment he would’ve been so jealous#Now compare this to Cuphead’s nonchalance and lack of interest when it comes to obtaining immortality. He’s even against the whole ordeal!#He’s stated before that he’s unsure of this whole thing they’re doing. Which I think is them finding answers on Chalice while gaining-#-immortality. Because while that’s been Mugman’s goal this whole comic. Cuphead has shown no such desires.#And yet he’s able to drink a demon-only bourbon like he’s immortal. He can also just waltz on into Hell with no consequences.#Bro is basically either a demon or immortal at this point and doesn’t even know it#He doesn’t even care to find love! Any immortal wouldn’t care for love unless they love another immortal.#Im overanalyzing again in class sorry#im literally in school lol#kay bye#random shit

I still argue that bleeping someone like Gorden Ramsey is bullshit so that people who love and find swearing fun can pretend that they didn't just hear him call someone a fucking donkey, because there was a bleep... like they don't know the exact word he used, like they didn't think it, and like they didn't have fun with it
Cause I bet you... any amount of money you want honestly, that if you asked Gorden Ramsey not to swear he just wouldn't... I don't think they ever bleep anything in shows where he's helping kids cook
No, people find swearing fun, it's entertaining... they just don't want to admit they like it because it's naughty
And to be clear I'm directly pointing to this and pointing to 'unalive' and drawing a line between them for how we got here
#you either don't swear or you do; bleeping is only for when no one's supposed to swear but it came out by accident#but 99% of the time; you can tell the producers wanted people to swear because their audience loves it#and at best they didn't bother telling them to keep it polite; and at worst they encouraged it#you know; I once when I was like 12 went with my mom to see Chuck D give a talk about stuff#and at the end when he went up he was like 'oh I'm so sorry; I didn't know there was a kid in the audience or I wouldn't have cussed'#and we assured him it wasn't a problem (didn't explain I'd know all of it since I was little)#(and I think to an extent even then I had a mentality of that I'd rather hear it how he was gonna say it normally)#but... he very clearly could have and would have simply kept a check on himself like everyone is capable of#and he clearly would have been more than happy to#it wasn't an 18+ event; it just was on a college and he expected adults only and talks how he talks#you can have zero naughty words most of the time... all you have to do is ask#and you can avoid serious conversations... it's polite to let people not be forced to engage with topics they don't want most of the time#hell; that's the whole point of trigger warnings#...I don't know; I'm forever fuming about this whole fucking topic#it's like a huge portion of humanity is willingly and gladly throwing shackles on#it's on thing not to say fuck; I respect the hell out of that#it's one thing to mind your words and subject; go for it#and it's also one thing not to want to listen to people swear#you know... I often do tone down how I feel like talking cause... I get some people following me might not like it... and I actually care#...it's just also... in the end this is my spot I dump bullshit out of my skull in a verbal vomit#so you get it how you get it... but like I get not wanting to hear it#but don't you fucking tell me you hate swearing and them sit their laughing at a bleeped bit from a show where someone's cursing up a storm#no you like swearing but you're just being a shifty self righteous prick that's pretending you don't to feel smug#and don't talk about death if you don't want to#but don't say 'unalive'; not unless you're meaning the opposite of undead and coming up with something interesting#if you're saying 'unalive' you're just a spineless fucker who can't even manage saying you'll kill a zombie in minecraft#(or a fool who doesn't get what you're going along with)
