While I'm still in a cute WenZhou mood, here is a recent huggy WenZhou~~~ I just love to imagine post-canon WenZhou really liking to touch each other, and I want ZZS to be really into hugs and physical closeness.

A little bit of a tangent, but the way they are often being outrageous in front of XiYuan makes me think that ZZS isn't that shy when it comes to PDA. Extra 1 WenZhou's "sparring" is scandalous enough for even Chengling to notice that something's going on, and Beiyuan has way enough of it. So...

Yeah. I think ZZS is not shy when it comes to physical affection. Maybe he's often lazy and plays exasperation when WKX is putting on the wife act or, esp. in early TYK, but he later on he generally lets him grope him anyway. Also, special mention to Extra 5 where he lets WKX play with his hand in public. Here's my current little WenZhou PDA headcanon : WKX tends to touch, to fondle, to play with ZZS' hands, his thighs, shoulders, etc. ZZS would more often tend to lean on WKX, to hug him, to keep their bodies closes.

Silly Voyager Trends

There’s a throwaway line in one of Voyager’s episodes where Captain Janeway remarks that Tom had been behind a lot of fads on Voyager, so here are my silly headcanons for some of them :)

Fidget Spinners (Janeway and Tuvok are especially into these but Chakotay takes Janeway’s away because she keeps trying to do tricks she’s seen Tom do and failing and the sound of it constantly dropping gets on his nerves.)

Heelys (Janeway is really excited about these, but Tuvok points out that her heeled boots are too tall to include wheels and she pouts. Seven spends a ridiculous amount of time drawing up plans for high heeled heelys that would not lead to Kathryn breaking her ankles and enlists Harry to help. They give them to Kathryn for her birthday. She is delighted but Tuvok and the Doctor are not convinced of their safety. Tuvok decides to let it go, but the Doctor is angry that Janeway isn’t taking his advice, so he keeps coming up with schemes to take them away. He tries to convince Kes to help him but she refuses because the Captain looks like she’s having so much fun. All is well until the Captain stumbles and is unable to stop as she barrels down a very slanted street while making first contact. Seven has to pick her up and carry her to the sick bay because she refuses to go because she knows the Doctor is going to be infuriatingly smug. He makes Kes take a picture of him with a very disgruntled Kathryn Janeway and it hangs above his desk)

Among Us (The trend starts out relatively harmless, but Tuvok declares it a security risk and bans it after Harry and B'elanna get into a physical fight in the mess hall because Harry claimed B’elanna was peeking at his screen. Tom takes advantage of this and starts selling bootleg copies of the game for replicator rations. Chakotay finds out and tries desperately to get Janeway to throw him in the brig, but Janeway refuses)

Silly Bandz (Neelix’s food is more popular than ever after everyone uses up their replicator rations on collecting as many Silly Bandz as they can. Tuvok is infuriated by the bandz not being up to Starfleet uniform standards. The trend dies out after everyone gets sick of Neelix’s cooking. Naomi Wildman is overjoyed after everyone gives their leftover Silly Bandz to her. Tom Paris approaches her and tries to convince her to help him restart the trend so she and him can trade all of her bandz for replicator rations and split the profits. She pretends to agree, but takes all the rations for herself. Tom complains to Janeway, but Naomi tells him that their contract doesn’t count because she’s a minor. Tom regrets teaching her too well.

Stress Balls (This trend was mostly harmless. It briefly got out of hand when some of the engineering ensigns started tossing them at each other and a couple ended up in the warp core. They were banned from engineering and most people forgot about them. However, Tuvok still uses his, he finds it helps with his intrusive thoughts.)

Jigsaw Puzzles (The Doctor, Kes, and B’elanna take a shine to the puzzles and spend hours in the mess hall on a 3,000 piece Voyager schematic puzzle. Everytime they’re about to finish, Voyager gets caught up in some anomaly or space fight and their puzzle is dashed to pieces. They finally give up when five tries in, the Doctor is about to place the final piece when the ship lurches and the whole thing falls off the table. Kes burns the whole thing with her powers and they refuse to ever mention it again.)

Tamagotchis (Tom learns about them from one of his history books on 1990s Earth culture and is immediately obsessed. Everyone has a good time until Tuvok points out to Kathryn that nothing is getting done because people keep stopping to feed their tamagotchis. Janeway bans them for use outside of quarters but Seven keeps hers hidden with her in the Astrometrics lab. She finds taking care of something calms her down. Naomi knows about her hidden tamagotchi but has sworn to secrecy.) 

Slime (A short lived trend after a distracted Neelix accidentally puts slime in the food and the Doctor demands it be banned after pumping the stomachs of a dozen ensigns unlucky enough to eat the slime. One of the victims, Vorik, refuses to talk to Neelix for a week.)

This is possibly the dumbest hill I'm willing to die on, but I frankly don't care what canon says; Shara Bey is taller than Kes Dameron. I can absolutely believe that Kes is 5'8" tall (source: Wookieepedia). My brain refuses to believe Shara is shorter than him (source: also Wookieepedia, where her height is literally just listed as "less than 1.75 meters" and that is based entirely on the fact that she is established to be shorter than Kes in some comic book, but her actual height is never specified. Just. What.). I barely know a thing about these characters, but Poe just seems like someone who had a tall mom and an average height dad, doesn't he? And Kes just seems like someone who would marry tall, right? I'm not even sure what I mean by any of that; it's just a vibe I get, but it is a vibe I feel so strongly that I want to formally debate whoever canonized Shara being shorter than Kes.

Since we have a confirmed long-haired Bucky for Thunderbolts, I really want it to be that every time we see Bucky in a movie he's done something different to his hair. Like for Thunderbolts it's long again, so like maybe it's cut short again in the next one. Maybe grow it out past his shoulders, a buzzcut because the long hair made him see the Soldier in the mirror, something like how he wore it in the 40s just to see how it looks, tied up in a bun, him grudgingly allowing someone to braid it, just showing him trying all sorts of stuff out.

I just think it'd be a fun but of characterization for him, like he spent so long under the control of others, now he finally gets to experiment with himself and his appearance and express himself in all sorts of new ways and I just think it'd be cute

So I'm re-reading Freefall and got to the part where Kes is mentioning he reached out to every contact he has trying to find Poe to track him down and I've realised he definitely would have reached out to Han and Leia, especially Han.

I mean his kid runs off to accidentally start reluctantly doing illegal stuff in the outer rims. I'm betting the moment he got a whiff of exactly what Poe was doing the first person he would have called would be Han, for obvious reasons. You know what I bet it was Han who put Kes in touch with those pirates in the first place, if Kes has any contacts with those connections it's Han. By that logic Kes would have likely reached out to Leia as well since he said he used every contact and bit of power and intelligence he had.

So I'm imagining Leia recruiting Poe knowing all of this and never saying a word about it but silently sitting on that information, certainly not judging him, if anything she'd find it more endearing, but knowing Poe would be slightly mortified if he knew.

I can similarly see Leia around the time of Freefall worrying about Ben potentially doing the same thing only for him to end up so much worse. I just know she was sitting there years later wishing Ben had idolised Han's criminal era instead of Anakin's.

Qin Huaizhang and his pupils! I always love thinking a lot about Siji manor and how it was, how it started, etc. I really wanted to make an illustration reflecting a nostalgia of these times. More Siji manor rambling below >>>

I am going through a crisis regarding my headcanons about it, though. As in, I can't be satisfied by what the book gives us, and clearly I got too invested in the backstory I made up to just accept giving it up based on some random infos sprinkled here and there. Here are the named characters that I assume are all from Siji:

(Duan Pengju isn't there because, for good balance, I thought it would be nice to have him as an agent recruited later on by ZZS.) QHZ is obviously the founder of the manor, right? According to the book (which gives us very little), he's an oddball, and he could have gone about with only two disciples-- or very young ones... But simultaneously, we do get informations in extra 5 about Siji manor's wide reach and activities. It's hard to believe that ZZS was the oldest disciple (as it is suggested in TYK in that one line where he's said to having been a dashixiong.....); he was 15 by the time of QHZ's death, so could QHZ really have operated alone with an army of tiny kids before that? Sorry, Priest, I will have to fight with canon lines here. I like to imagine that QHZ had associates within Siji-- he was the main founder, but he wasn't working alone. Old Bi, who's mentioned in TYK, chapter 1, could have been one of said associates. Lu Yu....... So Lu Yu is from Qi Ye, and up until recently he was my anchor when it came to justifying my idea that no, ZZS and LJX weren't the sole disciples in Siji Manor (since, in TYK, ZZS says it was "just the two of them"-- but it could be metaphorical!! and Lu Yu being there so early on in Qi Ye could be a proof of that!!). Turns out, the infos we get from Extra 5, once again, make me feel like it's unlikely that it was really literally only ZZS and LJX, but-- Anyway; I did picture Lu Yu as being older than ZZS, probably a shixiong, but it's also mentioned in Qi Ye that he his technique was "worthy of ZZS' teaching"...... which makes it harder to justify him being a shixiong. I mean, some mental gymnastics can probably make it work, and after all this is only a remark coming from Jing Qi's narration, BUT. Bichen suggested he could have been trained later on by ZZS as more people left Siji in disagreement with ZZS' own politics... so why not? I like to think that ZZS was QHZ's only disciple-- the others, shixiongs and shidis, were disciples of QHZ's associates rather than his own direct disciples. Maybe he didn't want any, until he met with ZZS and figured that the kid was worthy enough of being his disciple. LJX would have been taken in by QHZ as an additional trial or training method for ZZS-- because teaching is the best way of putting your own knowledge to the test. ALL OF THIS TO SAY, i do imagine that ZZS and LJX had a peculiar relationship with QHZ that other disciples didn't have, and that it was just the two of them from the moment ZZS was chosen by QHZ to become the next leader. Bi-shu... could have been reluctant at first, then decided to believe in ZZS until years later when he figured he couldn't do TC anymore and it was time for him to go? Anyway--- I could go on for hours bc clearly I have nothing better to do w my life than to muse about some random background storylines LOL

A/N: I KNOW I’M LATE FOR POEVEMBER BUT PLEASE TRUST ME ON THIS… well it’s angst so you can’t really trust me on this, BUT PLEASE LET ME COOK

Lately (mainly because of the First Order-Resistance War and after being held prisoner by Kylo Ren), Poe starts to have nightmares

One night, a particularly vivid, disturbing, and alarming nightmare occurs in his mind, and he wakes up gasping and breathing heavily

He may or may not have cried

(He definitely did)

Leia is the one who notices that Poe is on edge and seems socially isolated

So, she ushers him to see a psychologist

He is diagnosed with PTSD

Poe (being the stubborn lil bitch he is/hj) doesn’t want to believe it at first

But then he realizes that the symptoms match up with what he’s been dealing with perfectly

So, he goes to the Resistance cantina to have a “few” drinks

He gets absolutely wasted and has to be dragged to his quarters by Finn

When he’s drunk, he dreams of his mother, Shara Bey, and talks in his sleep as if he’s calling for her

When he wakes up (with a massive hangover) and finds out that it was just a dream, he takes his necklace with Shara’s wedding ring on it and whispers about how much he misses her

Sometimes he snaps at people without meaning to, he’s just really tired and drained

When he realizes he got a bit too irritated and tries to apologize, the person had already left

As commander, he bottles up his stress to a point where he eventually spills over

And many people dismiss his emotions because he “has to be strong for the Resistance”

He sees his mother in Leia, but will never admit it to her

He thinks about his dad, too

Like, he thinks about what-if scenarios if he never ran away from Yavin 4 and left his dad to join the Spice Runners of Kijimi

He wakes up early. Very early. Like, unhealthily early

He loses his appetite to the point where Leia has to plead him to eat something

Even then, he only eats a small amount and says that he’s full

Sometimes he wishes for a lover

Because he feels like he has nobody to love

(Also because he’s in desperate need for a family again where, this time, he’s the nurturing father instead of the “troublesome” teen)

His mom used to sing to him before she got sick of bloodburn, so he sings her songs sometimes to himself when he needs to calm his nerves

But he hasn’t given up hope

He believes that, one day, he’ll find happiness, comfort, and peace when the war is over (or maybe during the war, he doesn’t know)

But most importantly, he believes that he’ll find love

What’s your favorite, most unrealistic or downright ridiculous Tuvok hc?

For some reason I've always pictured him eating chips with 'chopsticks' (Vulcan word swapped in but we all know) as he watches/listens to some Documentary or History Channel thing Head Empty in his room. He has to destress after work too! He can't spend ALL his time meditating or taking care of plants - Vulcans have to just chill in their rooms sometimes too...but of course he'd never admit to this. BONUS HEADCANON: When he's alone in his quarters he sometimes sings or hums to himself as (he says) a way to focus on whatever he's doing...like a mantra or a chant. The only people who've heard him do this outside family are Janeway (who didn't let him know she knew) and Kes (who said she heard it can be good for plants, while smiling)
