I want to study Do Dahae under a microscope. She's a scammer who makes people fall for her but admits when she develops feelings with surprising self awareness. She uses kids to get to the hearts of single fathers but also immediately cares for Inah's wellbeing in class and treats her with respect with or without superpowers. She has people that exploit her but also cares for them like family and calls her 'uncle' when she's scared. He doesn't pick up for the mission and she understands. She scams people that remind her of the parents who wronged her but never admitted this to anyone. She falls for someone she sees at his worst and rejects his marriage proposal anyway. She also forged their marriage certificate. She is the only person who can change the future/past of this man but doesn't want to hurt him, so she tries to keep him away even when he starts using her family's tactics to be with her and help her pay back her debt. She's so strong and a little fucked up and crooked and could definitely scam you, you're just lucky she's being nice

Thinking about Cho Yeong's journey in Alchemy of Souls is a bittersweet feeling.
I like fantasy stories in general because they give me this feeling that after a long journey, nothing is the same again. But the wounds along the way are there and at some point the characters will have to deal with them.
And I like to see that although part of the audience doesn't recognize it, Yeong is a character who has been dehumanized so many times in life, and that finding someone to be her safe haven, showing her weaknesses, selfishness and anger is what makes her more human.(she was made for us girls).
She didn't stop being strong just because she chose to follow another path, a path that wasn't imposed by perversity and trauma.
Now she is free to finally live as she wants, without manipulation. The sweet girl, the assassin, the master, the servant, the lady of a traditional family, the priestess are all part of the character's totality.
I love this character in all her entirety ♡

i am convinced kdramas so often make their male leads be swimmers is so they can have a very valid excuse for shirtless scenes

Rawoon being way taller than all the people in Destined With You is reminding me of Extraordinary You, where he is more than a foot taller than the female lead:
Tumblr media
But also taller than Lee Jae Wook:
Tumblr media
At one point they put the female lead on a huge box just so she could look him in the eyes 😂

My dearest is going to the hall of fame of dramas. It's just so good.
Gil Chae and Jang Hyun are soulmates. Truly. They both are so strong and so silly even in these times. Gil Chae still dreaming about her dearest and sulking that it's not him when she woke up. Girl, you are the finest thing on that timeline and I love you for that. And Jang Hyun forgetting about the injury and straight up starting the teasing because she said "my dear". My dear. MY DEAR. MY DEAREST.
I can't talk about them anymore before I combust. Knowing that they survive at least till the penultimate episode is my solace because they're just so adorable together. All their little flirtations and teasings while surviving. It makes it more tragical actually. But it is just so good.

y'all i'm rewatching 2NE1 mvs (like you do) and some of them i admittedly haven't watched in years and i can't believe i forgot that Go Away has an actually insane storyline that involves CL's absuive ex dumping her then hitting her when she tries to confront him, so she gets revenge by being a better race car driver AND BLOWING HIS CAR UP DURING A RACE??!?!?
youtube
how could anyone ever forget this????
and it ends with the car burning in the background while the other girls pat her on the shoulder in congratulations????
god i love them and miss them every day, how did we ever deserve 2NE1???
(tw for the scene where her ex hits her obv)

I feel like the only person who disliked the kdrama lovely runner…
I truly don’t understand the reason behind its popularity
The plot and writing are nonsensical, repetitive and hackneyed
The romance is overly cheesy and cringe-worthy
The side-characters are mostly useless
And never have I seen a drama in which the two leads barely interact with anyone except each other, to the point where their scenes become nauseating
Had my eyes rolling the entire time and I barely got through the finale by fast-forwarding most of their scenes
Summary of the drama: the female lead spending 16 episodes yelling “sun jae-yaaa” and bawling her eyes out
The only thing it had going for it was its 1st and 2nd male leads, whom I wish had gotten a better script to highlight their talents
