unfortunate.
two games and multiple anthologies aren't a lot, but it's a far better state for the franchise than what the previous head left them in.
i'm interested in seeing where things go next. and if they don't go anywhere for a while, well, this is a better place for things to remain dormant for a bit than before.

Rockman 11 Production Note Artbook Part 6 (pages 52-61)
The least art-related pages in this book. First there are 4 pages of a day in the life of Mr. Famous himself, Masakazu Eguchi, while working on the game. From workin’ out to perfecting the proper Anti-Damage technique with his muramasa blade, there is no need for formalities when working with Eguchi-san.
That’s followed by two pages listing off all the Rockman games over the past 30 years, with release dates, consoles, and an assortment of logos.
Finally, 4 pages of an interview between Ucchy and Rockman 11′s Producer, Kazuhiro Tsuchiya. If anyone wants to get ambitious and try to translate it, feel free.

#LegionGamerRD #ElGamingnosune #Videojuegos #Gaming #RetroGaming #RetroGamer #CulturaGaming #CulturaGamer #GamingHistory #HistoriaGaming #GamerDominicano #GamingPodcast #Podcast #Capcom #CyberConnect2 #AsurasWrath #PlayStation #PlayStation3 #PS3 #Xbox #Xbox360 #XboxOne #Novelagrafica https://www.instagram.com/p/CLjh5YFASGJ/?igshid=wd5kywjun6iy

Eleven Reasons I Can't Wait For Mega Man 11
Mega Man and I go way back. As a gamer, I've been enjoying Mega Man since his very first adventure, and as a professional, I was very fortunate to have been involved in the reveals of Mega Man 9 and 10, plus I've written more Mega Man articles than I can count. So hearing the news earlier this week that Mega Man is returning after a lengthy absence in Mega Man 11 got me more excited than any video game news has in a long, long time. Here are 11 reasons why I'm so thrilled for the upcoming release of Mega Man 11.
Tumblr media
1. Classic Gameplay From all appearances so far, this is Mega Man as we know him and love him - running, jumping, and shooting his way through side-view horizontally and vertically scrolling stages, blasting enemy robots and using special weapons to stop the desires of the evil Dr. Wily. And I wouldn't want it any other way.
2. Modern Looks Though the gameplay is traditional Mega Man, Capcom has given up the 8-bit visual style of Mega Man 9 and 10 and instead opted for modern polygon-based visuals with a 2.5D presentation. Personally, I always thought it was weird to revert back to 8-bit graphics after the 16- and 32-bit graphics of Mega Man 7 and 8, so I, for one, am happy to see the visuals take a leap forward rather than be tied to the past.
Tumblr media
3. Something New Despite sticking to the familiar Mega Man formula, the developers aren't afraid to add something new to the mix. There are cool-looking new enemies, and more significantly, Mega Man has the newfound ability to activate a temporary powered-up state. It'll be interesting to see how to best use it during gameplay.
4. It's On Switch Yes, Mega Man 11 is coming to all current platforms, but Nintendo systems feel like Mega Man's true home. Capcom's commitment to Nintendo has been somewhat spotty over the last few months, especially where Mega Man is concerned, so it's awesome to see that right out of the gate the game is scheduled for Switch. And even better, they're paving the way with Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 & 2 and all eight Mega Man X games. Now if only we could convince them to port Mega Man: The Wily Wars and Mega Man & Bass....
Tumblr media
5. Slide & Charge Are Back With the last couple Mega Man games, the designers took a back-to-basics approach and removed some of his slightly more advanced abilities: the slide that debuted in Mega Man 3 and the charge shot that first appeared in Mega Man 4. Now these moves are back (and looking better than ever) in Mega Man 11.
6. Mega Man Makeover When Mega Man joined the Smash Bros. crew, he appeared with a mild redesign that added additional details to his outfit and provided a slightly more robotic look. That new design seems to be the basis for Mega Man's new look, but this version also makes him a bit thinner and sleeker, as he appeared in the artwork for Mega Man 8 and Mega Man & Bass. Furthermore, Mega Man's helmet and buster transform when he equips a Robot Master's special weapon, adding some extra visual punch to the character while not detracting from his legacy.
Tumblr media
7. Multiple Difficulties Mega Man is known for being hard. Sometimes it's known for being too hard. I still have nightmares about the final boss of Mega Man 7, and Mega Man 9 almost made me jump out the window. Beating a Mega Man game can be a badge of honor, but the series should also be accessible, so I'm pleased to see that there will be four difficulties available in Mega Man 11. If that means more people enjoying Mega Man, I think that's a great inclusion.
8. Returning Characters So far, Mega Man 11 looks like an ideal blend of old and new. Familiar gameplay, new visuals, new abilities...and also a lot of returning characters. Rush is back to give Mega Man a boost, and Roll, Beat, and Fliptop (aka Eddie) are returning as well. Roll's new design, which debuted back at TGS for some merchandise, is especially well done. However, I'm even more excited about some of the returning enemies like Sniper Joe and the pick-axe-throwing baddies, some of whom haven't been seen in a Mega Man game in ages.
Tumblr media
9. It's Not the Cartoon With a new Mega Man cartoon in the works, it would have been easy for Capcom to tie a new Mega Man game to that property and try to ride a multimedia wave to success, like Sega attempted with Sonic Boom. Fortunately, they didn't go that route, and fans all over the world are no doubt breathing a sigh of relief.
10. A Respectful Dev Team From Capcom's livestream, it became abundantly clear that Mega Man 11 is being handled by experienced designers who have a great reverence and appreciation for Mega Man and genuinely want Mega Man's "resurrection" to be a success. As with many of today's great indie titles, some of these developers grew up playing Mega Man and are fans as much as any of us. With producer Kazuhiro Tsuchiya, director Koji Oda, level designer Masakazu Eguchi, art director Yuji Ishihara, and sound designer Ryo Yoshii on board, the series appears to be in good hands.
Tumblr media
11. It's Mega Man Honestly, no matter what Capcom had shown, I probably would have been elated at the mere thought of any new Mega Man game, especially considering that for the past 5 years it's seemed like the franchise was, for all intents and purposes, dead. The fact that it's not, the fact that the new entry is in the classic series, and the fact that Capcom seemingly wants to please the series's thousands upon thousands of devoted fans, can only be good things in my book. Let's hope Mega Man 11 lives up to everyone's expectations.
