the drunkenness scale ✿ k.m.
pairing: katie mccabe x reader, arsenal wfc x reader
summary: celebrations allow your teammates to finally meet 10-drink-y/n.
warning: none, i think :)
word count: 3.3k
a/n: this was a request from anon, i hope you like it <3
1 drink (the normal one)
Booming music mixed with flashing lights and ecstatic shouts filled the room, as the Arsenal girls celebrated their win of the WSL. The dance floor was packed with swaying bodies that slurred the wrong words to every song that was playing.
Across the room, you were sat in a booth along with Leah, Beth, Viv, and Katie. The five of you having arrived not too long ago, you each got your first drinks from the bar, clinking your glasses with elated grins taking over your faces.
Feeling eyes on you, you turned to your right after taking a big gulp of your beer, “What?”
“Oh, nothing,” Katie replied, trying to suppress her sigh and send you a reassuring look, as her mind already went over what would most likely happen during the course of this evening. Don’t get her wrong, she loved you. She really did, but when you started drinking - well let’s just say you could be a handful, and that would be the understatement of the century in Katie’s opinion.
As the booth conversed, the Irish woman decided not to worry about you too much, wanting to celebrate the win and knowing that you wouldn’t really be troublesome until much later into the night.
2 drinks (the ‘funny’ one)
Finishing your second drink, you already felt much lighter, the sight of your happy teammates filling you with delight.
Your face lit up, as a thought crossed your mind, excitedly looking at the girls in the booth, you questioned, “Why didn’t the melons get married?”
Confused looks were thrown your way at the abrupt topic change, the girl next to you realising that they had officially reached two-drink-Y/N.
When you didn’t get an answer you let out a little chuckle, “Because they cantaloupe.”
Viv covered her mouth with her hand after she accidentally let out a little snort, Beth hitting her shoulder, her eyes rolling, “God, that was awful.”
“Oh, don’t worry, I’ve got more,” you said smiling proudly as you put your arms on the table leaning further towards the others, “What’s a funny mountain called?”
Actually finding the display of your horrible jokes amusing, Leah entertained you, “I don’t know.”
“Hill-arious,” you giggled, hitting Katie’s leg as your body shook with laughter.
Ten jokes later, Leah realised her mistake. While tears were escaping the corners of your eyes as your cheeks started aching, the other girls were sipping their drinks with shaking heads, wondering if you’d be done soon.
“You know, I just realised,” hopeful gazes met yours as they thought that you were finally about to tell them something that wasn’t another joke, “I tell dad jokes but I don’t have any kids,” you paused, the hope in the other’s eyes diminishing, “I’m a faux pa,” you cackled.
Groans followed your words, everyone slumping into the booth defeatedly before Beth groaned, “Katie, please do something about that. If I listen to her any longer, my brain will burst.”
Nodding her head, the brunette got up and quickly came back with another drink, setting it down in front of you, “Let’s say goodbye to two-drink-Y/N, everyone!”
3 drinks (the dancey one)
After downing the last sip, you stood up, taking Katie’s hand and eagerly tugging her onto the dance floor, “Let’s dance!”
Sending you a lopsided grin, the slightly tipsy girl followed close behind, already feeling the bass flowing through her body as you two reached your destination.
She couldn’t help but admire your dancing form. The way you carelessly moved your body with a bright smile on your face, the strobing lights giving you an ethereal glow.
Almost taking you straight home when you started grinding your ass into her, she tried to control herself in front of her teammates, wrapping her arms around your waist and pressing light kisses against your neck.
As soon as you heard the beginning of Dua Lipa’s ‘Dance The Night’ you pulled away from her with a gasp and prepared for your rehearsed dance moves. With the way you constantly talked about the movie, it was no surprise to Katie when you started doing the dance from ‘Barbie’.
Finishing your choreography with a playful bow after not missing a single step, you turned to your girlfriend breathlessly, “Whew,” you blew a strand of hair that landed in your eye away, “dancing makes you thirsty.”
4 drinks (the philosophical one)
Needing a moment to catch your breath after your (in your opinion incredible) performance, you took a seat next to Alessia, who was chatting animatedly with Lotte.
Katie pressed a kiss to your cheek, telling you she’d hang out with Leah for a bit before you watched her walk across the room. Turning your head back to the two girls in front of you, who had seemingly finished their conversation, you scooted your chair closer.
“I’ve always wondered why we use toothpaste that dentists recommend when they make their money from bad teeth,” you tell them conspiratorially.
Feeling like her eyes had been opened, an intoxicated Alessia exclaimed, “Oh my god, you’re totally right!” leaning down towards the table she motioned you to come down to her level before whispering, which was actually just her normal speaking voice with a bit more breath, “They probably put really bad stuff in there so we have to come back again.”
Nodding your head frantically, you whispered back, “Exactly,” when you suddenly had an idea and gasped, “We could blackmail all the dentists in the world with this and get a ton of money!”
“We’re geniuses,” the blonde proclaimed, raising her hand for a high five, before whispering again, ignoring the laughter coming from Lotte, “We should probably discuss our master plan in private cause there are too many people here that could steal our idea.”
Agreeing with the girl, you replied, “Yeah, you’re right, we need to talk about something else now, we’re already being way too suspicious!”
Both of them sat upright again, pretending as if nothing happened, searching for a topic they could talk about as the brunette shot them an amused glance.
“Hm, I just thought, like, if a pregnant woman goes underwater, is she like a human submarine?” you questioned with furrowed eyebrows, Lotte choking on her wine at your words.
Letting the questions run through her brain for a moment, the blonde stated, “That’s a great question! I think we’d need the definition of a submarine for that,” Alessia pondered with a finger on her chin, “Wait a second, I’ll google it.”
Taking her phone out of her pocket, she opened Safari and was about to type in her question, when she suddenly stopped, forgetting what she was about to do. She thought about it for a moment before her train of thought was interrupted by another declaration from you, “I don’t understand how cows are that calm.”
This time, Lotte immersed herself in this absurd conversation between you two, “What do you mean?”
“Well, if the whole floor was food, I’d be the happiest woman alive!”
Puffing out a breath of air, the brunette held her forehead, being done with your bizarre thoughts, as she got up, “I think it’s time for five-drink-Y/N now.”
5 drinks (the confident one)
Downing the shot Lotte had given you, you strutted over to your girlfriend, who was in the middle of a very intense game of beer pong with her blonde friend.
When you finally reached her, you threw your arms around her neck, pressing a sloppy kiss to her cheek as you whispered in her ear, “Missed me, baby?”
You only got a distracted ‘mhm’ as a response and turned your attention to the thing that had captured your girlfriend’s, only now seeing the ongoing game, “Oh, can I play? I literally won’t miss a single shot, trust me.”
Not even waiting for permission, you took the ball out of Katie’s hand and closed one eye, trying to find the right angle before throwing it.
“In your face,” you shouted as the ball landed in the red plastic cup and you jumped up and down, your exuberant celebration making Leah think that you had just won the World Cup.
When the blonde missed and looked up to find your pouting face with the words ‘aw tough luck’ directed towards her, her eyes rolled into the back of her head, Katie just shaking her head.
Your ball flying perfectly into the cup again and the defender missing once more rewarded her with more of your wise words, “Don’t be sad, pookie bear. I bet I could play against every person in this room and kick every single one of their asses.”
The blonde grumbled under her breath, throwing another ball and finally hitting the inside of the cup, as you noticed Beth finishing her interesting rendition of Eminem’s ‘Lose Yourself’, the only words actually understandable being ‘mom’s spaghetti’, and abruptly exclaimed, “Oh my god, Katie let’s do karaoke! I’m gonna end you with my heavenly riffs.”
Knowing she wouldn’t be able to talk you out of it, the brunette sighed amusedly before nudging the blue cup into your hands, “All right then, you need to drink this first though.”
6 drinks (the sad one)
You pulled your girlfriend along with you, as you made your way onto the stage, leaving her in the middle of it while you went to pick out a song, your eyes lighting up as you chose one.
Handing Katie the second mic, the first few notes started playing, making you squeal delightedly as the Irish woman face palmed.
“You’re insecure,” you hollered into the mic, pointing to the girl next to you, waiting for her to finish the line. She begrudgingly uttered, “Don’t know what for,” as the other girls started screaming the lyrics along with you.
Dancing around the stage with your favourite girl, whose face lit up with a smile while singing with you, you had the time of your life. When you reached the chorus though, things took an astronomical turn, as your grin faded and your voice began quivering.
“The way that you,” you took a staggering breath as tears filled your eyes, “get- gets me overwhelmed,” you struggled to get out when a sob broke through.
Katie’s eyes widened, she stopped singing (most of the crowd being too inebriated to notice that they were the only ones continuing) and turned to you, wrapping her arms around your waist to get you to face her, “What’s wrong, love?”
“I just…,” tears streaming down your face and inhaling a big, shaky breath interrupted your cries, “I just realised that if they get back together, they’ll be old and wrinkly and grey and I’ve never seen them live and then I’ll always remember them as these crinkly grandpas,” you sank down to the ground, your whining never stopping as Katie tried to calm you down.
“Hey, I’m sure there’ll be a reunion soon and you’ll get to see One Direction in their prime time,” she rubbed a comforting hand down your back, hoping to ease your sobs.
That only seemed to make it worse, as your hand shot up in front of your mouth while gasping and letting out an even bigger wail, “There won’t even be a reunion! They said- they- they said it’d be an 18-month-long break but it’s been 7 years now!”
Dropping her head in defeat, the Irish woman tried to figure out how to calm you down, not knowing how to help you. When she heard the song still playing in the background, an idea popped into her head as she cupped your face, slowly rubbing her thumb along your cheekbones and handing you the mic with her other hand, “Maybe you can convince them to get back together with your amazing voice, honey.”
Your breathing slowly turned back to normal, almost causing Katie to punch the air. She smiled at you when you got back onto your feet and nudged your shoulder gently, “Oh, isn’t Niall’s part coming up? He was always your favourite, wasn’t he?”
The brunette’s body went frigid with alarm as your head sank to her shoulder, your cries filling the air once again. After she felt something wet hit her skin, she wanted to cry herself, exasperated that her victory only lasted a few seconds.
“He doesn’t even have a part in this song,” you wept into the crook of her neck, your left hand tightly gripping her shirt as the tears continued streaming down your face, “They were all so mean to him! Those pigs always said that he couldn’t sing and, and wouldn’t give him any lines in, in the songs. But the worst thing was that they,” you paused to take in a trembling breath, much like an outraged child crying over not getting a toy at the store, “they turned off his mic during the concerts!”
Katie didn’t know how else to help herself, so she picked you up and carried you towards a free table, muttering about how proud of Niall you were for not letting them bring him down and starting his own amazing career accompanying her.
Grabbing a random shot that stood on the table, you raised it with a ‘To my second Irish spouse’ before shooting the liquid down your throat, making Katie choke on her spit.
7 drinks (the multilingual one)
Feeling a pair of arms around her waist, Katie looked to the left to be met with your dopey smile, “Bonjour Mademoiselle.”
Across from her, impressed looks were sent your way, “Wow, I didn’t know you could speak French,” stated Steph.
“Oui oui, baguette bouquet de camouflage duvet et french fries,” you confidently retorted, fully convinced you’d just said a sentence in French.
Hearing the snorts coming from both Steph and Katie, you frowned and crossed your arms, “I actually know Spanish though!”
“Oh, really? Knock us out then,” the Aussie motioned to you with her glass and an amused grin.
You puffed out your chest, standing taller before clearing your throat and starting, “Putellas es guijarro mucho bonmati gracias! Qué bien, no?”
Steph realised too late that she shouldn’t have taken a sip before you started, as her drink went down the wrong way, Katie slapping her back gently as she chuckled, “Honey, now you’re just naming Spanish football players.”
You stomped your feet, not believing how they couldn’t appreciate your (in your words) multilingualness as their laughter reached your ears.
8 drinks (the confused one)
While Katie knew it wasn’t a good idea when Alessia pulled you from your seat, stating that you just had to take shots with her, she was glad she didn’t stop her when she was able to witness this truly hilarious scene.
Watching you from her spot next to Leah, she had a clear view of the two of you as you ordered two shots of tequila, already having slices of lime in hand and the salt on the counter.
When the bartender put the drinks in front of you, the two of you sent him an intoxicated smile and got to work. While Alessia was able to go through the procedure as usual, you took a different approach.
The Irish woman’s eyes widened when you rubbed the lime on the back of your hand before you poured a bit of the tequila over it and licked your hand. She couldn’t hold in her laughter as you bit into the lime, downed the shot and then bit into it again.
“Jesus, she’s hammered,” chuckled Leah from beside her. The brunette just shook her head, got up and walked towards you, pulling your stumbling form towards her previous seat.
“You’ve had a bit to drink tonight, haven’t you?” questioned the blonde teasingly as you two reached her, making you shake your head.
“’m not even drunk,” you declared, trying to stop yourself from slurring your words.
Reaching into her pocket and taking out her phone, Leah turned it towards you, “Can you tell the time?”
You frowned a bit, finding her request weird before you shrugged your shoulders and put your arms on the table, leaning forward until your nose was touching her phone screen, “I’m not drunk.”
Cackles roared from the girls around you, as Leah hit the table, tears escaping the corners of her eyes while Katie rolled her eyes, trying to stop her chuckles as you shrugged, not understanding what they were laughing about, and downed the rest of your girlfriend’s beer.
9 drinks (the clumsy one)
9-drink-Y/N had always been the last one of the night, seeing as she wasn’t even able to drink anything.
Tonight though, Caitlin wouldn’t stop until she got you to drink one more beverage, wanting to use this special night as a debut for 10-drink-Y/N.
She had to admit that it wasn’t as easy as she thought it’d be. She already struggled with getting you to sit down somewhere as you tripped over your own feet every two steps, so she didn’t know how she’d be able to get you to drink something.
But when you finally sat down (after missing the chair multiple times) she had hope again.
Quickly fetching a beer, she sat down next to you, handing you the bottle. She watched as you raised it to your lips, the excited smile on her face only getting bigger.
Then you tipped the bottle and instead of the liquid going into your mouth, it went straight onto the table, not even touching your skin.
Caitlin jumped and hastily turned the beer upright again before helping you and calling out triumphantly when you took a few sips, “Guys, I did it! We’re gonna see 10-drink-Y/N!”
10 drinks (the flirty one)
Katie hurriedly strode over to you wanting to witness 10-drink-Y/N be there for her girlfriend as almost the whole team gathered around you, curiously watching your every move.
When you felt the warm body next to you, you turned to her and started playing with her hair before you spoke, “You must be the reason for global warming cause you’re hot.”
The Irish woman swatted your hand which was messing up her hair as she registered your slurred words, rolling her eyes when chatter about what they were expecting you to act like broke out between her teammates.
You didn’t care though and leaned towards Katie again, “I’m not into watching sunsets,” you paused for a second, a frown forming on your face as you rushed out in a whisper, “Actually, I am but just pretend I’m not so I can impress you with my amazing flirting skills.”
“So, I’m not into watching sunsets, but I’d love to see you go down,” you declared, trying to send her a wink, but actually just blinking slowly.
Your girlfriend laughed, thinking you would just continue to tell her horrible pickup lines.
After a while, she realised that she had underestimated 10-drink-Y/N. You started nibbling on her neck and trailing your hand up and down her thigh, making her squirm in her seat.
Katie stood up to go to the restroom when you grabbed her arm and turned her around, “Did you sit in a pile of sugar?”
Her eyebrows furrowed at your question but then her eyes widened as you continued, “Cause you have a pretty sweet ass!”
Accompanying your words with a squeeze of her ass, you sent her another wink blink.
Knowing that if you continued this, your teammates would be scarred for life, Katie quickly called a cab and made sure to carry you from your seat to the taxi and from the taxi to your bed, wanting to avoid any more trouble with your inebriated self.

Yellow - Mackenzie Arnold x reader
You woke up to a smidge of light peering through your window and a tight arm wrapped around your waist. You look at the time on your watch and it’s a little past 7:30 so you know that Mackenzie isn’t going to wake up for at least another hour. You turn over slightly and give her a soft kiss on the cheek, which causes the slightly older than you to scrunch her nose and turn over. This loosens her arm around you a little so it’s easy for you to escape. Once out of the tight hold, you decide you are going to go on a walk and to grab some coffee and bagels on the way home. After slipping on your last shoe and leaving a note on your pillow, you started your mini adventure.
You’d just moved to England from the US after scoring a deal with Arsenal so you are still getting used to the new country. Thankfully, since you and Mackenzie’s clubs aren’t that far from each other, you still see each other regularly. As you walk down the street, you see the familiar but old style shopping village you’ve grown to love. Turns out the country markets are on today and that makes you happy to explore peoples little handmade trinkets and fresh produce.
You first stop at a small flower stall and greet the old couple sitting in their slightly beaten up camping chairs, sharing a warm cup of coffee. All the different colours and aromas makes your heart burst with happiness, especially when you see this one shade of purple. It reminds you of the first time you saw Mackenzie in your national teams goalkeeper jersey. Having your favourite girl kitted out in your favourite colour did something to you. You didn’t realise how long you were staring at the flowers until you saw the old lady stand in front of you.
“You can just buy one if you want. I know a whole bunch is a bit much sometimes” the old lady offers.
You decide to buy three stems of the flower and she wraps it up nice and cute for you. You thank her and decide to give here a little bit extra for the trouble.
You walk down the next couple of stalls and see one of the new couples at Arsenal, Caitlin Foord and Katie McCabe. You talk to them for a while until you hear your phone ringing and see it’s Mackenzie. You bid them goodbye and that you’ll see them tomorrow for games night at Viv and Beth’s house. You quickly answer your phone and see Mackenzie FaceTiming you.
“Hey bubs, did you just wake up?” You ask as you look at a handmade jewellery stall.
“I did and you weren’t here. Where are you?” Mackenzie asks, mumbling into the comfy and fluffy blanket.
“I went down the street to get us some coffee and it turns out the markets are on. So I’m just having a look around, trying to familiarise myself with the area”
“Can you hurry? I’m missing out on my cuddles”
“I’ll be as quick as I can bubs. I love you”
“I love you more love. See you soon”
You look around the jewellery and see a pair of sunflower stud earrings. You pick them up and smile at the memory behind sunflowers.
On your four month anniversary date, Mackenzie took you to a sunflower farm in you hometown of Brisbane and you were in heaven. They had a clear patch where you could have a picnic and you both packed each others favourite foods and drinks. The patch was on top of a hill, over looking the beautiful mountains and the city below. You both had finished eating and you moved to sit in between her legs, watching as the sun slowing hide behind the high rise buildings, leaving behind a glow of oranges and pinks. It honestly made Mackenzie look like a goddess in your opinion. After a moment of comfortable silence, she told you those three words you have also had on the tip of your tongue also. You both sealed it with a kiss (or make out session) under the setting sun and it was truly a day you’ll never forget.
You give the earrings, along with the matching necklace, to the young girl to pay and again, told her to keep the change. She thanks you a lot before you head off down to the other stalls. You buy some more ironically coloured flowers, some matched Mackenzie’s eyes and one colour (in your brain), matching the way she smiles ever so lovingly at you.
You reach your final stall and see the most gorgeous yellow daffodils you’ve seen. Immediately buying them, you check the time and Mackenzie is texting you asking if you’ve ran away with the circus and that her ‘cuddle-o-meter’ is nearly running out so she’s going to die. You roll your eyes at the dramatics but decide to get the things you had come out for, coffee and bagels. You make a u-turn to your favourite coffee shop and order the usual for you both with cream cheese bagels.
You race home as fast as you can with two coffees and a bag full of flowers. Mackenzie hears the front door unlock and immediately goes to help you. Her eyes wide at the amount of flowers in your bag.
“What’s all the flowers for baby?” Mackenzie questions.
“I’ll explain later but please take the coffee”
You both sit on the couch and eat your bagels while you tell Mackenzie about all the stalls at the markets. Mackenzie’s heart swells up at how excited you get over the little things and it makes her smile even more (if that was possible).
“Okay presents time!” You say practically jumping out of your seat.
You explain all meanings behind the purple flowers to the sunflower earrings and necklace set and how Mackenzie hates earrings so you’ll wear them and she can have the necklace. Not once did Mackenzie get distracted or even think about not listening to you rave on about everything you bought her and the meanings behind them.
You finally got to the yellow daffodils. You turn and take Mackenzie’s hands in yours and she immediately tenses a little. You rub your thumb on her hand and she relaxes slightly.
“Mum used to tell me that yellow is the happiest colour. She used to say ‘yellow is something, or someone, that makes you so head over heels happy that you don’t want it to end’. Ever since we’ve started dating, I knew you were it for me. You’re my soulmate, my yellow. You’re the safe place I call home”
It happens all at once. The bottom lip wobbles. The single tear falls down Mackenzie’s cheek. The bone crunching hug that sends you flying back, hitting the soft cushions of the couch. You feel your shirt getting wet and you pull Mackenzie’s head up to see her with tears streaming down her face.
“Oh baby, I didn’t mean to make you cry” you mumble, wiping tears from her cheek.
“Marry me?”
You thought you heard wrong or didn’t hear her at all. When you don’t say anything, Mackenzie gets up from your lap embarrassed then you realise what she said. She turns to walk away when you grab her wrist, making Mackenzie turn her head to you.
“Yes”
“Yes?”
“Yes I’ll marry you baby!”
Mackenzie falls straight back on top of you and kisses you passionately. You pull her close when she pulls back quickly.
“The ring! You need your ring!” She sprints into the bedroom and before you could get up, she sprints right back out.
Mackenzie kneels on the floor in front of you before lifting your left hand and sliding the ring on. You tell her to stay there and you take a quick photo. She cuddles back into your arms and you cannot stop looking at the new sparkling piece of jewellery on your left hand.
“It’s gorgeous”
“Just like it’s owner”
“You cheese ball”
London being London, it starts to rain quite heavily so you both decide to cuddle on the couch and watch movies all day.
Who knew going for an early morning stroll on a day off would end up with you being engaged to the love of your life.

katie’s neverending ocs 🦇 ↳ joseph murphy (✗)
On November 15th, 1943, in the cold and dreary streets of Brooklyn, Joseph Murphy died. The story should end there, and it's a simple story at that: on his way home from work, he's attacked by some of his classmates, and left to bleed out in an alleyway. His last thoughts are of his mother, her tear-stained face as his father nearly threw him down the stairs, and the boy he loved, who he was certain turned him over to the cruel hands of his peers. It's as simple as that. Except, it isn't - not when a woman finds him and enticingly offers to save his life. Not when she bites him, leaving him not quite dead, nor quite alive. No, this is where the story begins. For years, Murphy wanders the earth with his sire and new clan - his new family. Though legally dead, he's never felt more alive, even if confined to whatever hole they choose to crawl into. After all, Murphy is a fledgling; a vampire too young to be granted immortality, easily cured... and just as easily tracked, hunted, and killed. The older vampires insist he should keep to himself, and that's all the better for him. He wasn't exactly a social butterfly when he was alive - he can handle 80 or so years of solitude. The other vampires go out and hunt and scavenge, and Murphy hides himself away, biding his time until it's safe. Until nothing can hurt him again. Besides the loneliness and the boredom, Murphy finds that the vampire life's actually pretty hunky dory. Until, of course, the vampires make the mistake of settling in Beacon Hills. As soon as they arrive, hunters are soon to follow, their noses to the ground and their swords in the air for any monsters. Murphy and the rest of the clan manage to keep their heads down - that is, until a threat is unleashed on Beacon Hills, one that threatens to wipe them all out. Though their truce with the Hale Pack was thought to have died with Talia, Derek is quick to revive it - and to bring in his protege, local teen wolf Scott McCall. Murphy hesitates to trust anyone, especially charming young men with crooked smiles. But something about Scott McCall threatens to drag him out of his shell, and into more danger than he could've ever imagined.
#mine*#joseph murphy#teen wolf#gifs*#kno*#of course had to do one for pookie eventually#if you've never imagined murphy with a brooklyn accent now is your chance!!!!#also happy death day buddy rip to a king#can you believe he has a birthday a death day an undeath day AND a resurrection day. guy of all time.

Fortune favors the Bold ⛓
TDI!Duncan x Juvie Bestfriend! Reader ⛓
Chapter Four: Dinner is Served (Or is it lunch?)
One year ago
"How the hell did you get a pack of cigs in here?" Duncan turned around to see his girl stalking up towards him. She wore the similar orange jumpsuit, and had her hair tied back into a harsh looking hairdo. "I'm just special." He shrugged getting her to roll her eyes.
"Want one?" He asked his best friend. "When have I ever said yes to that question?" She gave him the 'look' as his fellow inmates had dubbed it. "I hope one day you realize how much that affects your health, Duncan Tarun."
"Are you worried about me, L/N?" He teased her. "If anything I should be worried about you." She sat down next to him as they looked out at the yard. "You sure know how to put a downer on things doll." He muttered his fingers tapping nervously on his thigh. "Your dad died, today, one year ago. I killed him because you came to my house almost dead, Duncan. You have to be feeling something." The girl sounded more annoyed at herself then him.
"I've told you a hundred times, I wanted you to kill him. He was hurting my mom. If you hadn't done it, I would." Duncan explained. It was silent for a moment before she reached out for his hand, he took it without a second thought.
"I don't blame you for your anger. Your anger has kept us alive countless of times, Y/N. Without you my dad would've killed me at four. You are worth losing everyone." Duncan squeezed her hand as her head plopped down on his shoulder.
"Aren't I the one supposed to be comforting you?"
"We're best friend, doll. It's what we do."
---
Present day
Chris had you all crowded into the small cafeteria as clearly, very angry man started yelling. "Listen up, I serve it three times a day, and will eat it three times a day. Grab your tray, get your food and sit your butts down." Chef Hatchet yelled at the line of campers.
"He seems like a nice guy." Duncan muttered to no one in particular causing you to stiffle your laughter. "Got something to say, smart ass?" Chef yelled at Duncan as you grabbed your plates, the food looked almost sentient.
Yum..
"No, sir." Duncan stood straight to attention doing a mock salute and you had to pinch your thigh to stop yourself from laughing. "I'll be keeping an eye on you. No one likes a smart guy." Chef growled ushering you both off.
"You are going to get your ass beat, you know that?" You hissed in his ear causing Duncan to laugh. "I bet you'd like to see that, darling." you both sad across from Izzy who waved cheerfully at you.
As Duncan stabbed his food to keep it from wandering off, you on the other hand just let it leave. It was probably healthier to just simply not eat it. Then Chris walked in. "Welcome to the main lodge." He announced to the eating campers.
"Yo, my man can we order a pizza?" Geoff asked before a knife slid inches from his face embedding itself into the door. "Woah, it's cool G, brown slop is cool. Right guys?" Geoff replied nervously as Chef Hatchet sent a terrifying glare his way.
"Mine had a redish tint, actually. But too each his own." You muttered causing Duncan to chuckle. "Your first challenge is in one hour." Chris announced walking back out. Katie (Or was it Sadie) voiced her concerns but DJ quickly quieted them.
When you all finished Chris had you meet at a top of a very large hill wearing swimsuits. He told the girls to cover up before going so he'd get videos of the girls in swimsuits.
It was creepy, but whatever got the job done. You had pulled your hair back into a french braid that fell down your back, and wore a maroonish-purple two piece swimsuit, you felt insecure about your stomach being on live television so you stole Duncan's jacket to have around your shoulders and zipped up high enough to cover your stomach.
"Your first task is to jump of this 1,000 foot high cliff into the lake." Chris explained the task, talking about man-eating sharks, and hoops or whatever. Frankly, you were bored. After you had finished the challenge he wanted you to build a hot tub which didn't sound very fun, but you know.
Bridgette went first as you and Duncan discussed which one of you would go next. Two dudes went, then Eva and you smiled before flipping onto your hands. "Wait, don't jump into the water with my jacket." Duncan warned you.
"Make me." You stuck your tongue out, still upside down as you walked toward the edge of the cliff, you then made a half heart symbol with your fingers causing Duncan to groan, and fell backwards down the cliff whooping for joy.
Duncan leapt after you.

------
You both landed in the safe spot, easily. Then Harold came down, and landed on his crotch screaming like a little girl. "Well that's cute." Duncan muttered his hand finding itself around your waist. You smiled leaning into his arms before he unzipped the jacket, bolting off with it.
"DUNCAN!"
You ran after him, you were screaming curses. "How long would you say they've been together." Courtney asked Bridgette. "Oh, probably a long time. I wouldn't be surprised if they were married." The blonde shrugged. "That's fair." Courtney laughed quietly as they watched you tackle Duncan you both wrestling in the sand.
Eventually you pinned him down, both of you breathing hard, your faces red. "Your so pretty without the sweater, embrace yourself." He explained before you could hit him.
"Fuck you."
"You wish, cutie."

katie doulgas. she/her. ciswoman. › spotted at the met steps , francesca spencer , most likely listening to paper rings by taylor swift with their airpods pro . the twenty-one gained quite a reputation , known to be -naive yet +trustworthy to anyone who knows them . you'll easily spot them when you hear about basing all her relationships on romantic comedies , chewing the end of your pencil to help with your thinking process , stress eating rather than confronting the individual & strawberry flavoured lipgloss , followed by their sweet like candy by ariana grande . latest nepoupdates article talks about latest gossip about how she is sending money she earns to her neglectful father because he reached out asking for help , but i guess any reputation is good reputation .

following triggers will be found in this intro : childhood neglect , alcoholism , alcohol dependency.
[ ❀ ] born in brooklyn , new york , francesca grew up in a household that has the feeling of claustrophobia. not only was she surrounded by her mother and her parents , but there were consistently butlers , maids , au pairs and even their own personal chefs and nurses coming through the apartment. at a young age , she was shown that she came from money and that money would get her anything she wanted. the more and more her mother would shove money in her face , only forced the ideology that as long as she had money handed to her , she was loved.
[ ❀ ] questions regarding her father were always waved off , people stating that they had more important things to do than to focus on the disgusting man that gave francesca her last name. it caused her to stay up late night , hiding under her covers and writing in her journal of made - up scenarios where her father was a brilliant actor ; a professional chef that was just much too busy to stay home full time ; a man that was working hard so that he could come home to make sure that she was taken good care of , along with her mother.
[ ❀ ] she's seven when she's told that she must pack her bags quickly , that there would be no time for questions. knowing better than to question her mothers intentions , francesca packed up as much as she could fit in her luggage before she's standing in front of a house , her mother quickly pressing a kiss to her forehead and heading to the car behind them. it was in that moment that francesca realized all her dreams of her father , of her family , were simply that. dreams. she was in a foreign home , with people she didn't know and new staff ; staff that didn't understand the creative nature of francesca's mind.
[ ❀ ] the only bonus that came from the neglectful upbringing was her older brother , nate. despite francesca taking her time warming up to her brother , there was a warmth that would radiate off the other that caused franny to consistently find herself knocking on his door late at night , begging to sleep on his floor after their father downed another bottle of alcohol and was going on a drunken rant below them. despite never fearing for her life , there was a pit in the middle of her stomach , terrified that their lives were going to be just this , consistently hiding in their rooms to avoid the drunk nature of their father.
[ ❀ ] despite her home life , there wasn't a moment in franny's life where she wasn't a ball of sunshine when she was out in the public. full of energy , always wanting to hear peoples thoughts and being the mediator in arguments between peers. a curious being , she was always getting into things she probably should not have , gathering up little ideas in the back of her head for her stories that she would write when she was at home.
[ ❀ ] voted the best smile , most likely to kill someone with kindness , and using her quote in her senior year book to tell others that they could do anything they wanted , franny graduated with a bright smile on her face with her brother in the audience. since the pair of them leaving their father , she was able to encase herself in the love that she deserved , the love that her brother provided for her. it didn't take long for her influencer status to skyrocket , her instagram following jumping each night by the thousands and agencies reaching out for their products to be involved in her youtube videos.

From The Little Book of Cycling.
It’s been a few weeks since I’ve contributed to our blog so I thought it was time I wrote something.
The last few weeks have been my out on several rides of different lengths including a circuit going past Wellington Monument to Culm Head before going passed Smeatharpe airfield to Dunkeswell. I then headed towards Culmstock, through Uffculme to Willand, Sampford Peverell, Uplowman, Huntsham ant the Staple Cross before retuning to Holcombe through Hockworthy. A ride of about forty-six miles which I completed in three and a half hours at an average speed of thirteen and a half miles an hour.
I have also completed several other rides as well as visiting the gym a few times to do some leg and back exercises.
Last week I had both the bikes serviced in Exeter, Bike No1 just needed a check over, but Bike No2 required some attention as it hadn’t had much done to it since I bought it about twelve years ago. It did give me the opportunity to cycle back from Exeter. Approaching Cullompton I was overtaken by a bunch of about ten keen cyclists, and I managed to tag onto the back go the group & cadge a lift to near Willand. I showed the benefits of slip-streaming, which I won’t have the benefit of during the challenge.
I also saw my Osteopath this week, I tend to go every three months, probably in a vain attempt to keep myself as fit as I can. She went through a number of exercises and stretches someone of my age should be doing when taking on a long cycle like this one.
With just a week left before we set off, I have several rides planned which will hopefully include a couple of longer routes and going out on consecutive days, I’m happy with my level of fitness so it’s now just about spending time on the bike.
Celeste our motorhome went in for a service and wash this week and I decided to go for a ride while I was waiting. I rode what will be part of the first day, leaving Wellington I climbed on to The Blackdown hills and on to Chard, through Winsham to Drimpton where I turned round and did it all in reverse. It’s fairly hilly but with some lovely countryside and pretty villages. The climb back on to The Blackdowns was tough but in all I rode 51 miles in about four hours which I was pleased with. Unfortunately, my phone went flat halfway through the ride, so I only managed to record part of the ride on Strava through which I monitor my performance.
I have to keep Jane and my cousin Heather musically happy during our time away so I have been buying CDs and downloading songs by the likes of ABBA, Lionel Richie, Whitney Houston and Coldplay to name a few. There may be times when I’m glad to be on my bike!
Heading into the final week before departure I have a couple of jobs to finish off on Celeste before packing her up ready for the off and of course we have our Fundraiser on Friday the 6th, The final Holcombe Rogus Pop Up Pub in the village hall so hopefully we will see you there.
Once we are on the challenge, there will be far fewer text blogs and more videos, pictures and interviews.
Thank you for your support and readership over the last few months. Your comments and support has really helped us to prepare for our journey.
As you know we are raising funds for Overcoming MS. If you would like to support this amazing charity which helps to improve the life of people with MS you can follow this link.

did he feel his heart skip a beat when she smiled? no, that was stupid and cheesy. he should have slapped himself for thinking such a thing, no self-respecting man would think that, but it didn’t stop the warmth in his stomach from seeing dottie. not just warmth, but excitement. sonny had hung around bj’s like one of the bucking horses’ most loyal barflies, just waiting for her to return. no, he wasn’t a barfly, he was a dog. he had been katie’s dog for years, and probably would’ve been kim’s if she hadn’t inexplicably dumped him in high school. all the women that he liked in his whole life saw his desperation on his face, a longing to be loved, and used it for their own amusement. twisted him and pulled him. did dottie see it? did she take one look at him and know he was willing to do anything for her, just for a moment of her attention? he made himself sick.
their inside joke was bare bones, but it was one nonetheless. sonny felt himself relax a bit at the comfortable rhythm of flirting with a pretty girl. “well, once an outlaw…” sonny trailed off, smirking with familiarity. it felt like they were criminals in a way, meeting only at night. was she a night owl? sonny had the pleasure of being a second shift worker, but he wasn’t aware if dottie snagged herself a boot hill job yet. somehow, mostly without anyone ever noticing, newcomers went from travelers on the way to somewhere better to another shopper in the amen grocery market or diner at the florita cantina; they went from guests of the copper cactus motel to becoming a new neighbor on laguna street or the new tenant at the silver spurs apartment complex. eventually, it was like they were never new at all, as if they had always been there.
“i do, yeah.” sonny felt around his pockets for a lighter. like any boot hill boy, he had been smoking cigarettes since he was twelve, at first stealing them from fearghas’ stash and then having brian buy a pack for him as long as sonny was willing to pay at a jacked up price. once he was old enough, it was his turn to buy them for cian. pulling a neon green one from his jeans, he proffered it with an open palm. “…as long as you give one to me.” he had his own pack somewhere in his truck, but that was parked across the street behind the saloon. plus, he was curious as to what brand she smoked—hopefully not virginia slims, like his mother. the mention of midol made his thoughts blank out for a second. he had grown up in a family of men; the macclean women didn’t fare very well, evident in his mother’s catatonia and eileen’s mysterious disappearance. everyone feared what fate had in mind for the youngest girl, isla. though her candor surprised him, he didn’t make any sort of verbal or visual reaction to it. luckily, dottie quickly moved on. “the moonlite closed about an hour ago, but they’ll let you in if you don’t have a car. you just have to sit in folding chairs by the snack hut.” sonny had a truck, though…
if the mention of midol stole his thoughts, the offer to join her for waffles at the diner arrested his heart. “oh, just my kid brother.” the only one he had that was younger than him, so that gave cian special reverence in his heart. cian and isla, the only maccleans below him in the family line, were the forgotten kids, so their care fell to sonny growing up. his mother, bedelia, had practically been in a fugue state since eileen disappeared, and his father was always drunk. there was no one else around to take care of cian and isla, as their older brothers had their own families or were wrapped up in their own bullshit. so even though sonny moved out from the family home years ago, it had been sonny who woke them up for school and packed their lunch boxes. now, isla was the only one still in school, and cian was a minimum wage slacker just like sonny. they didn’t need him anymore, which was a relief and a regret, but he still gave them rides when needed. it wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility for him to pick his brother up after work, it was a suitable excuse. forget that now, though. even if he did promise to give his brother a ride, dottie’s offer would’ve trumped those plans. “cian can walk.” sonny said all too quickly, nodding fervently.
“the turquoise star doesn’t open for two more hours, i think.” he knew, but he didn’t want to seem too eager to profess he knew the operating hours of the businesses in boot hill. “neither does may’s, but i’ve been ‘temporarily banned from the premises pending review’ for, like, three years now.” sonny rolled his eyes. kim refused to serve him, but bev, her hated coworker, was always willing to let him have a seat at the counter. it just took a certain mood for him to be able to withstand seeing kimimela and dealing with her endless coldness—as if she wasn’t the one to dump him! most of the time, he haunted the turquoise star where the waitressing duo, joey and margie, were always happy to see him. “i’m willing to wait, though.” shit, that was too eager. “i mean, i’ll be awake anyway.”
boot hill was a strange place. in the city, people told you not to go places alone, but dottie really found that everyone in los angeles was sort of alone. she didn't drive much, but she took public transportation and cabs or ubers at night if she was solo. if it was the weekend and the streets were busy, she didn't mind walking a few blocks. sometimes she got into some close calls, but mostly things turned out okay. in boot hill, she always felt a little touch of unease, but she found herself walking everywhere. if other people did too, she didn't really know. it seemed like other people passing her on the sidewalk were lost to the background. they were static. ambient noise. it was rare she ran into someone who stood out.
at least not like sonny macclean. he seemed like one of the only real people she'd encountered. a handful had a shine to them that made them stand out. sonny macclean. the gal who did her hair and always seemed like she was looking over her shoulder. that chaotic guy with the curly hair who asked her if he could sleep on her couch once. the popular owner of the olive branch bar. maybe a few others.
"still bonnie and clyde then?" she smirked, referencing their only inside joke. not much mileage left on it. they'd have to try their hand at making more. "do you have a light?" she asked as she pulled out her cigarettes to buy her sometime to decide what to ask next. if he was meeting someone, maybe it was a girlfriend or hookup. he was just vague enough that she wasn't sure and asking him felt kind of tacky; they'd only just met.
"i'm here for some a lighter and some midol." she answered honestly. if it grossed him out, he wasn't worth her time. as an afterthought, she tagged on impulsively, "i was thinking about checking out the drive in--" she wasn't. "--but i don't know if they let you in without a car." hers was, perhaps eternally, at chuy's auto shop. "but i don't think there's probably anything playing this late." disappointing, but that always opened up an offer for another night. "and it's late or early enough i was thinking i might go get some waffles at the diner if you wanna come." she smiled demurely. "or, you said you were waiting for someone, do you have plans?" she was hoping he didn't, but still not bold enough to assume.

Family Snow Day
Peter Stone x fem!reader Warnings: Language, fluff.
Squeals and shrieks of happiness echoed through the backyard, pulling your attention from the lunch dishes you’d been finishing up. It was the first snowfall of the winter in Chicago, well, the first real snowfall of the year. The few chillier days had left frosted tree branches and a shimmery powder on the streets that was melted by noon, a few weeks ago it seemed like it would last, until the sun came back out for a couple of days melting it all back into the ground.
This time however, it had started halfway through the night, not letting up until you were wrapping up lunch, thick lucious snowflakes still occasionally drifting through the air. The kids (Sawyer, 8, Katie, 10 and Mia, 6) had been more than eager to go play, bouncing around your feet until you practically ushered them out of the house, making sure they all had the appropriate outwear and mittens on before they raced out the back door. Peter had chuckled at their enthusiasm, kissing your forehead softly, asking if you wanted help cleaning up from eating. When you shooed him away he kissed you again, saying he was going to start the shovelling.
Now he was in the backyard, half finishing the walks out there, half throwing huge shovelfuls of snow onto the kids, pilling most of it up into a snowbank in the corner. You knew his plan was to keep building it up into a mock sledding hill for the days they kids wanted to sled but you didn’t have the time to actually leave the house to supervise. There were a couple of half started snowmen scattered through the yard, snow simply rolled up together before something more fun distracted them. The girls had made a series of snow angels while Sawyer made what he called ‘snow ninja’s, honestly, they were just excited to be playing in snow and you were thankful for them burning off some afternoon energy.
First you heard the clunk of Peter dropping the shovel back against the house before the calls of “Mom” began to break through your concentration. Four adorably excited faces smiled brightly at you through the window, causing you to shake your head but at least dry your hands. You pulled on the shorter of your two coats as you slipped into your boots, happy to find a small pair of gloves in your pocket.
“Girls against boys snowball fight!” Katie yelped, dragging you down into the yard.
“Awe!!” Sawyer pouted, “that’s three to two! That’s not fair!”
“Are you kidding me?” You shot back, “your Dad used to pitch for the fucking cubs!” It slipped out before you even realized it, though honestly, you and Peter were pretty loose lipped around the kids already.
“Mom said a bad word!” Mia screeched. Peter’s jaw slacked in a half smile as he caught your eye.
“I do think that warrants a penalty at the very least.” He teased.
“Peter…” you half warned, backing away from him as he scooped up a pile of snow in his gloved hand.
You shrieked and flinched as he whipped it toward you, yelping when it collided with your side. The first hit was all it took for Sawyer to let out a near war cry and snow began flying all around the yard. Shrieks and yells echoed from both sides, screaming laughter carrying through the air.
A whine broke out from Katie when her younger sister accidentally launched a ball at her instead of the boys and suddenly it was a free for all around the yard, spheres of packed snow flying in everywhich direction as everyone started chasing each other around the year.
Mia picked up one of the smaller shovels meant for the kids, scooping sprays of snow up into the air (and immediately shrieking as half of it came down on top of her instead of anyone else). You couldn’t help but laugh at the fact that Peter was going to have to re-do half of the shovelling after all of this, although, the flakes coming from the clouds had started to thicken as the sun slowly sank, a chill settling into the air.
Sawyer toppled over face first into a pile of snow being chased by his sisters, prompting Mia to jump right on top of him. You got a half warning out of your mouth to Katie before she pouted at you, pulling them up, dusting the snow off Mia’s face. Before you could get a step toward them, and before Sawyer could even get a hint of a cry out, your shriek echoed through the yard. Peter, the ever distraction extraordinaire had scooped you up, tossing you over his shoulder and you instantly knew what his plan was, your protests met on empty ears and laughing children as he tossed you down into the poofy snowbank he’d piled up earlier.
Cringing into your shoulders in an attempted to get as little snow down your jacket as possible you glared up at him,
“Dick…” you muttered and he smirked at the smile on your face. You almost didn’t trust him as he extended a hand out to help you up, but he made good on his word, kissing your nose softly as he wrapped an arm aroud your waist.
It took a little bit to wrangle everyone back into the house, but with promises of hot chocolate right away and pizza for dinner, the kids were back inside before you could even realize it. Peter promised to take care of the treats and organize the snow pants and coats while you got the kids changed into cozy warm dry clothes. What needed to be put in the laundry was done and you joined them in the living room a few moments later, gratefully accepting a mug of spiked hot chocolate from your husband.
Thankfully there was enough pizza to go around, and no fights over movie night (what could you say, Frozen had something for all three of them). You simply leant into Peter’s embrace, kissing his cheek softly,
“I love you.” You murmured as to not distract the younger ones from their half scream singing and dancing infront of the t.v.
“I love you too sweetheart.” He cupped the side of your cheek, meeting your lips in a tender kiss full of adoration.
To say your first snow day of the year was a success would be a very true statement.

𝗔/𝗡: this one is kind of a filler chapter, but i hope y’all like it 🤍
kelsey is not a real person, despite the hype house and lil nas x being real. everything about her, except for the face claim, is fictional. (the crystal mentioned in this chapter isn’t real either lmao)

the days went by agonizingly slow. flloyd dropped y/n back off to her place, which only led to a huge argument with drake. she couldn’t forgive him for how he talked to her last night and he was pissed that she wasn’t there to cook for him. the two of them argued for hours, before y/n packed a bag and drove off to flloyd’s. she wanted to tell him about katie’s phone call yesterday, but decided against it. he either wouldn’t believe her or would get more riled up. plus, if he did believe it, he’d probably attack vinnie- which would also only make things worse.
she stayed at her boyfriends for the rest of the week, and while it was nice at first, now she was just exhausted. it wasn’t the building or anything wrong with flloyd, it was more than that. he knew something was up with her. all she wanted to do was stay in bed and sleep all day, and while he was fine snuggling all day with her, he could feel the tears that dropped onto his arm when he was holding her.
it was the hate comments.
y/n was now at 2 million followers on twitter and almost 2 million followers on tiktok. she had gotten small negative comments, but nothing this bad before. now there were hashtags, duets, hate accounts. she just couldn’t handle it all. y/n was pondering just deleting everything- wiping her entire existence off of the internet- but she never did.
she stayed. she kept posting videos, and she cried herself to sleep with the hate comments. it was a viscous cycle that was slowly breaking her down, and while flloyd tried to make her whole again, he just couldn’t.

the harsh northern breeze paralyzed her skin, her boots clumping in the snow. a white haze before her as she clenched the clementine in her palm. the ice formed a crystalized sleeve that wrapped around the orange peels and began to burn under her fingertips. chilling pine trees were lined up in a row in front of her and went on for miles. she continued her way up the steep snowy hill, the loud wind filling her ears. she could feel her hands solidifying and freezing around the orange, before one wrong step opened up the ground beneath her. the hole engulfed her body as she fell through.
she landed gently on the striped towel that laid across the grass. beautiful cherry blossom trees hung above her with milky pink flowers, the petals falling all around her. a gentle breeze blew the branches, making them clank against each-other. a holy sun seeped through the flowers above her as she lifted herself up. her gallant sundress sprawled around her body and her feet were bare. a glass filled with cherries sat on a rock next to her. a light rain began to pour, filling up the glass and drenching her hair. y/n grabbed a cherry from the water and plopped it into her mouth, detaching the stem with her teeth. she closed her eyes as the taste took over her tongue.
opening her eyes, the heat hit her with a force that was unbreakable before the water met her skin again. the trees were no longer above her and the water was now from sprinklers instead of rain. looking back up at the sky, she saw bright blue swirls that mixed with the clouds. the high temperature leaved dew droplets in its wake as she danced and spun, a watermelon slice in her left hand. the air was sweet and flowers budded beneath her sandals, saturation flooding the scene. she could hear children laughing from afar and her jean shorts were clung to her skin from the water.
she looked down at her leather boots as she continued down the pathway. the wooden bars beneath her feet as she kept the apple close to her chest. trees with leaves of orange and red blew leaves across the path, the warm colors fading with time. the air was foggy and her hair was crisp under the sun. “give me the apple,” the voice behind her roared. she shouted, “never.” and picked up her pace, running through the endless trees before a sudden wind swept the apple out of her hands and her off of her feet.
◦◦,`°.✽✦✽.◦.✽✦✽.°`,◦◦
“no.” she mumbled, before her eyes snapped open and she sat up, taking in her surroundings. she recognized the bedroom, taking a deep breath before standing to her feet.
it was just a dream.
a very vivid dream.
“baby?” flloyd shouted.
“yeah, i’m coming!” she checked her phone to see what time it was.
10:55 AM
y/n groaned before moping her way to the kitchen.
“there you are, sleepyhead.” flloyd was wearing an apron and y/n could hear food sizzling in a pan.
“hi. i had the weirdest dream..”
“hmm, well, i’m making your favorite, so come eat, because you have a big day ahead.” he walked up to her and kissed her on the head.
“uh.. what?”
“i called a friend over.”
“no thanks, i’ll just go back to bed-“ she turned around before flloyd yanked her by the arm.
“no-“
“whyyyy?” she whined, looking up at his blue eyes.
“you will have a great day today, okay? i promise sweetheart, and than you can sleep all you want.”
“ugh, fine.” she grabbed herself a plate sat down at the counter, her legs dangling from the stool. “i don’t deserve you flloyd.”
“i know, angel.”
◦◦,`°.✽✦✽.◦.✽✦✽.°`,◦◦
“you look great!”
“i guess so..” she mumbled, wishing she had her dads jacket. she lost it at the gym and when she went back for it, it wasn’t there. everyone said that they had no idea what happened to it, which made her even more sick in the stomach. she wore sweatpants with a white crop top and one of her leather jackets.
“are we going somewhere? why do i need a jacket?”
“we are going somewhere, once she gets here-“ he was cut off by a doorbell, “that must be her!”
y/n took a deep breath. she had never met one of flloyd’s friends before- in fact- she thought she already knew all of his friends. she hoped that whoever it was was nice and not another katie or hazel.
“hey! there you are!”
“hi!” a chirpy voice with a british accent spoke.
oh god
i can’t compete with british girls
y/n hit behind the corner, her back up against the wall as she listened to them commerce. “where is she?”
“oh, she’s around here somewhere- Y/N!”
fuck my life.
everything in her world was going just horribly, and she knew this girl couldn’t be too bad, but with her history of fuck ups, she expected the worst.
“here she is!” flloyd held his arms out, showing y/n.
“hi!” the british girl said, smiling. she had long straight black hair and huge brown eyes. when y/n looked over her she saw large tattoos all up and down her arms, some even on her chest. beautiful symbols and flowers inked her skin.
the tattoos reminded her of the moment she first met hazel- how scary and intimidating she looked, but this girl seemed a lot less scary. her voice was sweet and her accent was a dream.
“hi.” y/n went to shake her hand.
“oh, don’t be silly, doll! you can hug!” she felt the girl squeeze her in a comforting way, her flawless arms shined in the light. she smelled like hazelnut and toothpaste when she spoke.
“sorry, you’re just… gorgeous and i haven’t had a good week.”
“i know, babes. flloyd told me all about it.” her black dress hugged her body and displayed her long legs.
“y/n, meet my friend kelsey. she’s an influencer and digital artist.”
y/n’s heart stopped for a quick second and her jaw hit the floor.
oh my god.
“holy shit- kelsey walker?!”
“yeah!” she smiled, showing her straight teeth.
“oh my gosh- i’m such a big fan of your work! you are incredible, seriously.” her face grew hot as she fumbled over her words.
kelsey’s fan base was colossal.
apart from having over 5 million followers, she was also close with the hype house and in charge of all of lil nas x’s visuals.
she was a whole other level of internet famous.
“thank you, that’s so kind!” she placed a hand on the girls shoulder, chuckling at her nice words. y/n suddenly felt like she was going to faint.
“so, kelsey here, is here to help prepare you for your future as an influencer.” flloyd smiled.
what?
“yep! and the first thing that we are going to do,” she grabbed her phone and placed it on the small table, “is no phones!”
oh dear god

flloyd kept his hands gripped on the steering wheel to his brown nissan as kelsey continued her small talk from the back seat.
y/n’s eyes darted all around her, taking in her surroundings. “where are we going?”
“you’ll see.” flloyd lightly gripped her thigh before returning it to the wheel.
they were in a part of town that y/n had never seen before. the streets were empty, yet buildings crowded the space. they passed small shops and businesses, some familiar chains and some brand new to her. she made a game of reading the signs on the buildings; some of her favorites were a small pink ice cream shop with sprinkles on the sign and a vet clinic with dog and cat decals in the windows.
“here we go,” flloyd exclaimed.
the car sunk down as the wheels clashed against a small roadway. y/n stuck her head out of the window, her eyes meeting what looked like a beach. a body of water with a small section of sand, boats could be seen from afar. the rope connecting them with the docks made banging noises that were inaudible until you hit the shore.
“a beach?” she turned back, seeing kelsey smiling wide.
“yup!” she cheered, before swinging open the door and grabbing a few things before walking on to the sand.
y/n looked over at her boyfriend with a skeptical expression, causing him to send her a close lipped smile and exit the car before she could say anything.
it was as if the beach had her in a trance. the girl found herself clutching an empty fist close to her chest as if she was supposed to be holding something.
wasn’t i carrying an apple or something?
◦◦,`°.✽✦✽.◦.✽✦✽.°`,◦◦
y/n felt weird wearing her doc martins at the beach, and wished she knew beforehand where she was going. if she did, she would of worn sandals or at least sneakers.
“thank god, we got here before it starts to rain!”
the sky was a dark grey and it was windy out. y/n felt herself slipping between realities; little things made callbacks to the dream she had the night before.
she had sand in her boots, despite sitting on a small ledge of a fence the whole time. kelsey helped flloyd lay down a towel that was placed far away from the water; right at the edge of the beach. the british girl set a small wooden box in the center of the towel before sitting down, motioning y/n to join her.
“flloyd, why don’t you go make yourself at home in the car!”
“what? but-“
“this is girls time! shoo.”
“yeah, flloyd. shoo!”
kelsey waved him away as y/n chuckled. a very confused flloyd, made his way over to the car before sitting in the seat.
“now that he’s gone-“ a small gift bag appeared in her hands. “i brought you this.”
“wh- where did that come from?”
where the hell was that hiding?
“i have my ways.. now open it!”
y/n grinned before pulling out a cylinder covered in wrapping paper. she peeled the paper back, revealing a pink candle.
“this is my go to for whenever i get stressed or anxious. it’s honestly a life saver, so i hope it can help you too.”
the words relax were written in cursive and the label read lavender, sugar, vanilla
“oh my gosh, this is so sweet of you!”
“please, it’s nothing.” she waved off the compliments before grabbing the wooden box.
“now, leave that here and come with me.”
◦◦,`°.✽✦✽.◦.✽✦✽.°`,◦◦
kelsey explained to y/n how important it is to have a safe space. a spot where you can go and be one with nature, alone with your thoughts yet comfortable. her’s was always a beach similar to the one they were at. she told her about how the waves spoke to her and how the feeling of the sand beneath her toes made her feel like she wasn’t as small as she seemed- like she was a bigger and more important part of the universe and as if she hadn’t done anything wrong. whenever kelsey was upset, whether it was media related or not, she always went to her safe space. and she always made it back home.
the box held a small pink rock in the shape of a heart. it was some sort of crystal that was passed down to kelsey, who now wanted to gift it to y/n. she explained that it works as a good luck charm in emergencies, but can only be used once.
“see, you store it somewhere safe, aka your safe place, and you pull it out whenever you need it. you know, if there’s an emergency or maybe you just feel down and nothing else is helping- this stone will help you. plus, it always made me feel better knowing that i had it if i ever needed it.” kelsey spoke, watching y/n roll the pads of her thumbs over the rock.
“it gifts you one use, kind of like a wish, and then you pass it down to someone who you believe is worthy of it.”
“so, if i have it… i can only use it to help me?”
“well, i reckon you could use your one use on someone else…if you’re really that selfless, it is. whether you use it on yourself or someone close to you, it will help you heal- that bunch i can promise ya. i know some people don’t believe in this sorts of thing, but… i know deep in my heart that this can seriously help.
y/n looked up at kelsey, waiting for her to finish her speech.
“it was passed down to me from my aunt who just recently died-“
“i’m so sorry-“
“no, it’s okay! don’t be sorry.. anyways, she gave it to me and i used it- i- i waited three years… three years i waited and i finally decided to use it.” her voice cracked lightly.
“i had an ex boyfriend who was abusive and i was in the process of trying to get him charged… or at least getting a restraining order on him…. and everyone was telling me that it wouldn’t hold up- it wouldn’t get passed and that the court wouldn’t allow it.” kelsey took a deep breath, looking up at the clouds above her. y/n could have sworn she felt a raindrop on her hand.
“it can be hard… ya know? i- i didn’t have any evidence, no real pictures or…” she trailed off, biting the inside of her cheek. “i wasn’t sure that i’d get justice.” kelsey finally looked into y/n’s eyes for the first time throughout their conversation.
“so, i ran to the beach… and i dug it up out of the sand,” a chuckled left her lips, “and i held it and said ‘please, mr. gem… give me what i need. what i’ve been searching for.’… and the next day, i went to court.. and not only did i get the restraining order, i also put his ass behind bars for a few years.”
y/n’s face was glowing as she looked at the girl. “i had no idea.”
kelsey simply nodded, “whatever is hurting you… whatever weight you may feel… this rock will lift it off of your shoulders. or maybe it won’t, maybe it’s all bullshit, but it’s worth a try!” she exclaimed, standing up. y/n stood up as the two of them laughed before putting the stone in the box and finding a place to bury it.
“how about over here?!” y/n pointed to an area near a few bushes- close to the water but not close enough to get ruined.
as the two girls buried the box, rain started to drizzle out from the clouds. y/n heard flloyd beep the horn, symbolizing that it was time to go. kelsey and y/n grabbed the candle and their stuff before running back to the car.

the rest of the day went by fast. kelsey ended up staying for dinner, in which flloyd insisted on making his signature chicken and veggies. then when kelsey left, y/n drifted off to sleep in flloyd’s arms, feeling the best she’d felt all week.
she woke up the next morning with a smile on her face. a smile that even drakes pissy mood couldn’t wash away. she was excited for the day, little thoughts of how she could spend it, swirled around in her mind.
she ate some cereal before taking a walk- still wearing just a shirt and flloyd’s sweats. the walk was nice and peaceful, yet not enough to scratch the itch she had. y/n decided to drink away her afternoon at the coffee shop. she loved sipping her beverage while reading a good book and ignoring whatever shit may be happening in her world.
ecstatic to finally be getting out of bed and going somewhere, she made sure to put effort into her appearance- earning a applause from her boyfriend. she wore a black skater skirt with a black cropped tank top and a beige coat. while she didn’t have her iconic jacket, she still wore some boots.
“no leather jacket?”
“nah… i think i’ll be okay.” she grabbed her purse while flloyd smiled at her and kissed her goodbye.
◦◦,`°.✽✦✽.◦.✽✦✽.°`,◦◦
y/n sat at a window seat of the coffee shop, watching the raindrops from the night before still roll down the glass. everything was fine and dandy, until hazel walked in.
“oh my gosh.. drakes sister?!” a high pitched squeal came from the girl as she walked back over to her table, a frappe in her hand.
dear god, kill me
“oh- uh, yeah, that’s me. it’s y/n by the way-“
“right!” she nodded.
y/n couldn’t help but remember the words she last heard from the girl.
with one arm laced around vinnie, hazel looked y/n up and down before muttering, “what a drama queen.”
contrary to what y/n wanted, hazel decided to sit across from her. before she could say anything, hazels phone rang. y/n sat there for what felt like an hour, listening to hazel yell at someone through the phone. the whole situation was awkward and rude. her eyes scanned the pages of the book but her brain couldn’t fully comprehend the words.
hazel sighed, placing her phone back in her pocket before standing. “anyways- you hungry? let’s go get something to eat.”
“oh, umm… no thanks i’m good-“ y/n stumbled over her words, intimidated by the girl. she wasn’t sure why, but somehow, dating vinnie made her seem more powerful- like if hazel wasn’t vinnie’s girlfriend than she wouldn’t be so scary. but maybe vinnie was telling the truth when he said they weren’t dating and hazel is just overly affectionate…
probably not.
“there’s a restaurant across the street, i’ll take you-“
“but my car-“
“don’t worry! i’ll drop you back off here and you can get your car!”
she’s not getting the hint, huh?
◦◦,`°.✽✦✽.◦.✽✦✽.°`,◦◦
who the fuck eats steak for lunch?
not only was hazel just stopping by at an expensive restaurant, she also bought y/n steak.
fucking steak.
hazel didn’t even ask, luckily for her, y/n liked steak. she couldn’t imagine what hazel would do if she was a vegetarian.
y/n ate in silence, while hazel just looked at her. she didn’t even order anything, making y/n wonder if hazel slipped something in or food. hazel paid the bill, not even giving y/n the chance to offer. the whole scenario had y/n feeling like she was being pitied- like this was some sort of charity to her. as they left, hazel’s phone rung again.
“hi… yeah. i’m back. oh, i’m just with y/n, ya know- drake’s sister?” hazel spoke into the phone while y/n sat their awkwardly staring out the window and fiddling with her hands.
who is she talking to?
“ugh, seriously? mmhmm, yeah i can come drop it off… i’ll be there in a second.”
be where?
“ok, bye baby.”
no fucking way.
“hey, so-“ hazel backed the car up, leaning over to see behind her, “i hope you don’t mind but vinnie needed me to drop something off at the gym.”
umm, yes i fucking mind!
“n-no! i don’t mind.”

Teenage Dream Pt. 2 (Interactive story)
Man! I think this one is the most amazing thing I'd ever written! I'll request from all of you guys special attention at the end of this chapter. I'll let you a message, and I'm pretty sure you will love it!
Derek took you to his loft. While you are alone, you start to understand the environment you were now part of. Word count: 2.056 Pairings: Different Dimension!Reader x Derek; Different Dimension!Reader x Platonic!Laura; Different Dimension!Reader x Platonic!Cora; Different Dimension!Reader x Platonic!Talia Contain: It’s pretty fun; AU Warnings: English is not my main language <3 PART 1 ALTERNATIVE VERSION TEEN WOLF MASTERLIST
You finally entered Derek's loft. Oh, man... It was just like in the tv show!
You enter the loft just like if you had entered paradise. With your mouth opened in pure fascination, you swirl around your feet while looking around. Derek came just behind you with arch eyebrows. It would be funny if it doesn't be scary.
"Oh. My. Godness. Is it here that all the pack meetings are made?"
Derek didn't reply to you. Instead of it, he just stares at you. He gives a few steps forward, getting closer to you.
"What's your name?"
You swallowed hard. Derek was with his usual cold expression, arms crossed in front of his chest, and no patience for bullshit.
"(Y/N) (Y/L/N)."
"Good. Look (Y/N) (Y/L/N), you will stay right here. You will not get out, you will not call anyone, or speak with anyone. If you run away from here, I'll kill you faster than you could say to me what happens at season one. Did I made things clear to you?" Shrunken in fear, you just nod, and Derek narrows his eyes to you. "Okay. I need to see someone that you probably know, so-"
"Braeden? Jennifer? Deaton?"
Derek sounds confused to hear the first two names. So, you simply thought that he didn't meet them yet.
"Not of your business."
He gives his back to you, walking out of his loft and closing the door, locking you there. And, wow, you have Derek's loft all for you! Oh man, it just like on the fanfics!
Well, you were curious and excited as hell. Your first thought was something pretty plausible: You used to watch Teen Wolf when you were a teenager. So, being inside the series was just like time-traveling. Smartphones aren't a thing yet, and Dua Lipa music still unknown. As a way to test this theory, you walk in the radio's direction and turn it on. The music that started to fill the room was Friday by Rebecca Black. Yeah, you remind that song, and you instantly felt nostalgic. But it could be just random music on the radio, right?
You switched the radio station, and then Party Rock Anthem By LMFAO starts to play. Well, another song of 2011... But you aren't so sure yet, so you switch the radio station one last time. You almost fell on your back when Domino by Jessie J fills the room. You took a confirmation that yeah, you were back in the 2011's. You are probably during the events of season one.
Well, Scott has just been bit by Peter, Derek just came back from town, and... You are now in the middle of all of that.
"Oh, man!"
You can't do anything for a while. So, all you could do is wait for Derek and whatever he was doing now. You look around while Jessie J sings on the radio, giving you a few nostalgic feelings. Well, you would take a relaxing bath. There's just one problem: All the clothes you have is the one you're wearing now. Without giving a damn, you walk to Derek's wardrobe direction.
"I'm sorry sour wolf, but I'll borrow a few clothes of yours." You open it and take a black shirt. Man, you felt thrilled! "Jeez, this is so like the fanfics!"
You go to the bathroom's direction, taking off your kitten pajama, and putting yourself under the hot water of the shower. Man, Rude Boy by Rihanna starts to play on the radio. You couldn't contain a laugh. It was funny because you were taking a shower and would wear clothes from a legit rude boy.
And, well, you started to sing. It was everything really nice for a few minutes: You were wearing Derek's shirt, listening to a few old pieces of music, and, now, you were in his kitchen making a sandwich.
When you sat on Derek's bed, with your wet hair and your sandwich, Starstrukk by 3OH!3 and Katy Perry started to play. Yeah, that time alone was being nice! You move your body in the music's rhythm while bites your sandwich, still sat on the mattress. You should enjoy that peace while it lasts!
The sandwich was cool, the music either... But you realized that, now, you had a golden chance that every fan would die to have: You are alone in Derek's flat. What kind of things he hides there?
After finishing your sandwich, you look around. You stand up from the mattress and walk around the loft. Getting upstairs, you could find some supernatural books, some weird things that you thought could be some magic stuff, and his laptop. Oh, man! What else hides in his internet searches?
You hold yourself, trying to decide if you should snoop his history on the internet or if you should see what he hides on his bedside table drawer.
When you go downstairs, Animal by Neon Trees fills your ears. You run to Derek's bedside table and opens his drawer. You found his cell phone charger, as well as the laptop one, a coin with a triskelion and... tons of condoms.
Your eyes got widen. This is definitely the kind of thing the TV show hasn't expose.
Also, you noticed Derek's loft needed some... cleaning.
Bored as never before, you walked to the kitchen searching for some cleaning stuff. You found some on a cabinet: A mop and a few other products. Oh, perfect! You took them and, soon, you were sliding the mop through the flat while sings Animal. The flat smells like lavender now, and the floor is so clean that you are proud.
You heard Magic by Rivers Cuomo and B.o.B on the radio, and you sing with the music reminding the parties at your friend's house after school. Suddenly, the door finally opens, and you heard Derek's voice.
"...She's not lying, and I need to know if you already saw something like that before."
You froze with the mop on your hand when you saw Derek. He froze as well. It was understandable: A complete stranger is cleaning his flat and wearing his clothes.
"...Oh, hi! I've borrowed your shirt."
Then, a female voice came behind him.
"There are tons of things that could cause this kind of thing. We need to investigate."
Talia Hale came after his son, as well as Laura and Cora. They also froze with the scene of you wearing Derek's clothes and cleaning his loft. You? Well, your eyes almost had pulled out of your face when you saw them. Talia inhales the air to her lungs, clearly smelling the air.
"Are this... Lavender?"
"Yeah, it is." Laura replied her mom, looking at Derek after that "I think lavender suits you. It's perfect for your flat. It is really your thing, Derek."
You were so confused! What are they doing there? Your chin fell, letting your mouth opened in pure disbelief. Derek rolled his eyes at Laura before look at you again.
"...She'll freak out."
"Oh. My. Gosh. Oh my gosh!!" The mop fell on the floor, and you ran through Talia, Cora, and Laura's direction. "What the hell are you doing here?!"
The Hale women look at each other, and Cora looks at you.
"Well, mom came here to help Derek with, uh, you. And I guess you already know us."
"You shouldn't be here!" You stare at Cora "You should be in South America! And both of you" You stare at Talia and Laura "I can't even talk about you two! Jeez!"
You put your hands on your head, with your mind blowing while the Hale family enters into the loft. Derek turns off the radio before staring at you again.
"I thought you were used to seeing me with them."
You stare at him, with your eyes widen. Your mind was full of theories already.
"Derek, you are definitely not understanding what is happening here. Your family shouldn't be here."
He arches his eyebrows, noticing there's something pretty wrong here.
"What do you mean?"
"Look" You approach them, looking at everyone "I'll do just one question: Did your house was burned some years ago?"
They look at each other, with the engines on their head trying to work. Talia stares at you.
"Yeah, but we had fortunately escaped."
"How about your brother?"
"Peter was the only one that hasn't managed to."
Oh, man... That means one thing. Scared as hell, you sat on the mattress. Derek started to feel anxious and approaches you.
"What's happening?"
You breathe in, staring at the family.
"It shouldn't happen. At the TV show, Talia dies at the fire. Cora ran to South America, Peter got burnt and goes to a clinic, Laura turns herself into alpha, and she stays with Derek. It means that I'm not on the TV Show. I'm inside a fanfic."
Oh, man... It means, basically, that you even haven't so sure about what will happens next. If you were inside the TV Show, you could predict the future. You couldn't do it if you were inside a fanfic.
While you were in complete shock, Talia looks at her family.
"Well... I'll search the most plausible theory of (Y/N)'s arrival. I think we can start looking for some witches near. It can be some work from a coven."
While the Hale family talks about you, you still sat on the mattress, thinking about what the heck was going on. Well, what kind of fanfic did you got into? Was It an insert-reader one, or was It just a common one? Are you the protagonist?
You would test your theory, and you would do it right now.
Knowing the opportunity was just right there, you ran through the flat's door. However, Derek notices your escaping.
"She's running away!"
A mess quickly takes form inside Derek's loft: His announcement made all the Hale run after you, trying to avoid your escaping. They don't know anything about you yet. It could be dangerous to have you simply walking around Beacon Hills.
Fast, you ran through the building until you go outside. A storm quickly takes form, and heavy rain starts to fell from the skies. To everyone's surprise, you stopped in the middle of the asphalt, looking at the sky.
"Hey!" You yelled to something up there "I want a sign! Hey, writer! Readers! Anyone! Am I inside of a fanfic? Answer me! Send me a clue, anything!"
A thunder lightens the skies, and you fell on your knees with a lack of a clue that could help you to find out what was going on. Then, you felt a hand grab your arm.
"Enough, weirdo." Laura said, holding you while the Hale family surrounds you to keep you from running away "You'll stay inside the loft."
With all the last hopes of yours, you look up from the skies. The rainwater runs through your body while you wait. You just want a sign! A clue!
Then, you thought you had seen something. Laura pushes you, making you stand up from the asphalt. And when she was started to drag you to the loft again, you saw something falling from the sky. Derek saw it too.
"Laura, wait."
Everyone looks up, noticing what the heck was that: It was a post-it paper falling from the skies in your direction. When it came close enough, you took it.
Man... When you read it, your face became pale as a candle, and you simply pass out on Laura's arms. Caught by surprise, Laura holds you while everyone runs in your direction. Cora took the post-it paper from your hand and, when she read it, she stares at her family completely incredulous.
"What?" Derek looks at her, in urgency to know what was that. Cora swallowed hard, starting to read the post-it paper out loud.
"Here says: Author's note: Yeah, you are inside a fanfic. Author's note two: Your story has just started, girl."
Yeah, for sure, the Hale family stares at each other in complete shock. Of course, they weren't expecting that your call for a sign would be replied to. Especially by me, the author of your story! Ha! And honestly? I'll think carefully if I'll help you during your journey inside your favorite TV Show, because, honestly? I'll not let things easy for you.
FINAL AUTHOR'S NOTE Here's the thing about this series: I'm the author mentioned at the end of this chapter, y'all are the readers mentioned in the story AND the (Y/N) of this story. Consider that the (Y/N) is the "you" from a different dimension, okay? Why should you consider this: Because you all can communicate themselves with the (Y/N) of that story! At every ending of the chapter, I'll request you to send me something to help the (Y/N) inside the story. You will send it through my ask, right here. Well, the (Y/N) has requested to the readers sent her a sign that she is really inside of a fanfic. Send me your clue for (Y/N) through my ask, and I'll put it on the next chapter to makes her freaking out.
I'll be waiting for y'all!

SHOW: Teen wolf
CHAPTER TWO: “we are family”
EPISODE: 3x02 “chaos rising”
Sleep is a precious thing, you need sleep, without it you make mistakes, you mess up. You get delirious and screw up. Kaitlin always loved sleep, everyone knew that, not to wake her when she was tired, but dogs...dogs don't understand that. That leads us to now, The last things Kaitlin remembered was watching an episode of some trashy show before falling asleep, and now, Levi, her two year old Labrador cried at her feet
Kaitlin opened her eyes, seeing the big dog sat at her door, his head tilted and whines coming from him "seriously" she whispered, he tilted his head to the other side "can you not just...leave me alone" he whined again, walking over to her and sniffing her face. Kaitlin cringed "okay, okay, you win"
She slowly threw the nice and warm covers off of her, her feet hitting the cold ground, sending shivers up her back, she sits there for a second, contemplating her life. She looks to her dog again, who's now panting in excitement, she groans, getting up and making her way down the stairs, before she can make her way down fully, Levi comes booting it past her and down the stairs, stopping at the door and sitting, Sighing she descends the remainder of stairs grabbing her keys and unlocking the front door and opening it
The big dog speeds out the door and Kaitlin laughs as he jumps around the fenced off garden, when Levi was a little pup, back in Boston, he'd find any and every way he could to escape their home, Kaitlin had many memories of running after the fast dog. So when they moved home, they made sure to get a well fenced garden.
The brunette watches Levi for a few more seconds before deciding to check the time, she moves to the kitchen, it was light out so it had to be early, she switched on the light, making things slightly more seeable, her glasses and contacts were upstairs so it was a little hard, she glanced at the clock 5:40.
It was literally 20 minutes before her alarm went off and an hour before kodins, might aswell make breakfast. She gathered her ingredients, deciding on bacon and toast for breakfast, turning on the hub and grabbing a pan. Midway through her cooking, a shiver sends down her spine, a familiar feeling in her stomach. She whirls around quickly, unsurprisingly seeing the dark figure lurk in the shadow of the kitchen, she was expecting him, but that didn't stop her heart from racing.
Tensely, she glares, turning back to her food, in an attempt to ignore the dark man. "Nice little place you've gotten yourself here" his voice is low, lower than before, Kaitlin stays quiet, focusing on her food.
"You can't ignore me forever Katie" he slowly walks into the kitchen more, quietly pulling out a chair and sitting. Kaitlin's teeth grit together at the name.
"I've done a pretty good job for what? Three years now?" She doesn't turn to look at him, her tone is sarcastic. He laughs, the sound scares Kaitlin slightly.
"That's not entirely true now is it, you aren't surprised at all to see me. You were expecting me" The redhead stops what she's doing, quickly whipping around and glaring her most cold glare
"What do you want" she gets to the point, the man faking a frown.
"What? I can't come and visit my daughter?" Kaitlin laughs turning back to her bacon and taking it off the pan and putting on a plate.
"You only ever visit me when you want something, so either tell me or get the hell out of my house" she grabs the toast, putting it on the plate and sitting opposite him.
"Ah you got me" He jokes, Kaitlin rolls her eyes, and butters her toast
"Scott McCall" is all he needs to say for Kaitlin to freeze, she slowly looks up to make eye contact with her father.
"What about him?"
"He's quite the hero I hear. People tell me he's the man to beat" his tone is evil, as usual. Kaitlin doesn't let her guard down. Her glare as cold as ice. "I've no idea what you're talking about"
"Does he know about you?" He takes an apple nonchalantly from the fruit bowl, the question silencing Kaitlin
"You know, your past, what you are?" He pushes leaning over the table slightly, Kaitlin doesn't break eye contact, her heart hammering in her chest
"What you've done"
"I haven't done anything" she defends, she stopped eating now, her fork and knife still in her hands
"Oh but you did, don't you remember? When Tyler died" Kaitlin slams her hands down on the table, the plate clattering against the knife and fork
"You weren't there, you don't know anything, now what do you want because your testing my patience" her hands are now in fists as she glares at her father.
"Be careful of this boy, he's made enemies, more than he knows, and they are dangerous" he warns. He stands from the table, putting the chair back in its place
"Why are you telling me this?" Her blood was boiling
"You’re my daughter, whether you or I like it or not we are family" He darkly says before a dark cloud forms over him and he vanishes
Kaitlin relaxes, her food now cold she tosses a slice of bacon to Levi and throws away her toast
"What a waste" she mutters before heading upstairs to get ready for school
***
A little while later and Kaitlin was sat on her couch, she usually got up early for school but never this early so she didn't really know what to do with herself. She watched the screen as an episode of greys anatomy played.
Her phone chimed with a text, Lydia Martins name lighting her screen, the strawberry blonde offering to give Kaitlin a ride to school, saying she needed to talk to her. The redhead sent a quick reply, moving off the couch and walking into the kitchen where her mother and brother sat at the table
"I'm not giving you a ride today, Lydia's picking me up" Kodin looked at his sister, taking a drink of his orange juice as he swallows his toast "I'm taking your car then"
"Why can't you take your own?" Kaitlin shoves her phone into her pocket, glaring slightly at her brother, who shrugs "well, yours is cleaner" Kaitlin stares at the boy, contemplating. She gives in, grabbing her keys and throwing them at Kodin.
"Don't damage my car" she warns before leaving the room, soon hearing the honk of Lydia's car, bidding a quick goodbye to her mother she grabs her bag and is out the door. She smiles at Lydia before hopping in the car "hey"
"Morning, what was so..." she's cut off when Lydia hands her a cup of coffee, Kaitlin smiles, thanking her and taking a sip, Lydia starts the car and pulls out of the driveway.
"I know you know" Lydia cryptically states, Kaitlin looking at her curiously "about what?" The redhead placed the coffee in the cup holder.
"About the supernatural, about Scott" Kaitlin freezes, her eyes going wide and glancing at Lydia
"What?" Kaitlin questions, trying to play it cool. "Huh, supernatural that...that's funny" panic sets in Kaitlin's mind, trying to force a fake laugh which Lydia doesn't buy.
"Yeah, okay lets just skip that...I could tell" Lydia glances between Kaitlin and the road "you wanna know how I know? Because you're supernatural too"
Kaitlin's lost for words, her eyes never leaving Lydia as the panic starts to fade, she's not afraid of her friends knowing, it's just how they find out. She wanted to soften the blow, it scared her really, she cared about them and she didn't want them feel any different about her. She lets put a sigh, looking ahead at the road.
"Witch, I'm a witch" the words fell nonchalantly out of her mouth, Lydia does a double take. "A witch? Huh, that's...new" Kaitlin laughs lightly.
"Yeah, I guess they're uncommon nowadays" Kaitlin went on to explain her knowledge of the pack and how she gained it, listing the things her uncle deaton has updated her on before she came back
She knew everything that he did, the kanima being Jackson, Peter Hale biting Scott and Lydia, Alison being a hunter and her grandfather being a psychopath. All of it
It surprised her really, Lydia was so calm about it, she didn't freak out, didn't get mad that Kaitlin hadn't told her. The aura that surrounded the girl was unfamiliar to Kaitlin. She'd learned how to read auras since she learned of her magic. Different colors for different species. Werewolves depended on the color of their eyes. Witches were purple. Humans were green. So on. But Lydia radiated a pink aura, one Kaitlin hadn't seen before.
"Oh yeah, have you any idea what this could be?" Lydia holds out her arm, keeping her eyes on the road
On her arm is a fresh bruise, there's an odd shape to it. Kaitlin gently takes Lydia's arm
"Uh, a bruise?" She glances at the strawberry blonde who playfully rolls her eyes
"Yeah no shit, Alison has one the exact same shape, she thinks it's like some sort of symbol" she states, her eyes never leaving the road
"Huh, can I take a picture of it?" Lydia nods and Kaitlin pulls out her phone, quickly snapping a photo of the bruise
"I'll run it by my mom" she states
"When are you gonna tell the guys about that?" Lydia starts, Kaitlin turns to look out the window of Lydia's car as they pull into beacon hills high schools parking lot
"I don't know, soon"
***
Lydia and Kaitlin strolled together before class, chatting quietly about Kaitlin's antics during her time in Boston. Football games, school dances, swim meets and everything in between. While Lydia went into more detail of the packs antics and stories.
"Okay, but what would a pack of alphas want with Erica and boyd?" Kaitlin questions lydia, who was explaining to her their recent predicament
"I don't know, maybe their recruiting" unbeknownst to the pair Scott and Stiles walks past them, Scott stops in his tracks staring at Kaitlin as she walks past, seeing something he didn't before
"Scott?" Stiles takes him out of his daze
"You okay?" Stiles eyes him curiously, glancing at Kaitlin. Scott nods his head still slightly dazed "Yeah, sorry"
***
Lydia, Alison and Kaitlin sat in the library, Alison drawing the symbol that was bruised in her skin on a piece of paper, a laptop sat on the table, some research the huntress had done lifting up the screen.
Lydia stares ahead, Two identical twins stood at a bookshelf with another brunette, the strawberry blonde had her eye on one of the twins. "I want one"
The two friends follow Lydia's gaze.
"Which one?" Alison questions, an adorable smiles across her lips, Lydia's face drops
"The straight one obviously" Alison glances back at the twins, Ethan looking at Danny wistfully, Lydia drinks from her coffee cup.
Kaitlin's chuckles as she glances at the boys, the brunette sticking out to her, she shakes the feeling off, glancing at Alison's computer, a thought comes to mind. She checks around before pulling a book out of her bag
The book was given to her by her mother, it was enchanted to only open to her, she flips through it finding the thing she was looking for
"What if it's not a symbol?" She questions Alison, who turns her gaze to the brunette and the book in her hands
"What if it's actually a logo?" Alison eyes the book questionably, noticing a few of Kaitlin's spells
"Wait, is that?" Kaitlin smiles at the brunette "what are you?"
"Libra" Kaitlin looks up to digest her theory to Lydia but she's vanished
Kaitlin's and Alison turn to the twins only to see Lydia making a move on Aiden. The two girls look to each other, Kaitlin bursts laughing, Alison joining after a second.
***
Kaitlin Jones was originally from beacon hills, she grew up in the small town. Her family and friends were there, it was her home. A place she'd never forget for as long as she'd live, no matter where she'd end up.
One place and person she hadn't gotten the chance to visit since she'd been back was her uncle Deaton at the animal clinic. Deaton was the brother of her mother, it didn't seem like it, of course because her mother was adopted into Alan's family, his mother was a friend of Natalie's biological mother who passed when she was young.
So when deaton called her to ask if she could come to the clinic because he needed her help with Isaac, Kaitlin jumps into her car and makes her way to the clinic
Her stomach turned and twisted in knots, nerves filled her. She knew what she was walking into, Scott and Stiles would definitely be there, and she knew what Deaton needed her to do, it would be outing her powers to them. She had texted Kodin, giving him the heads up and warning him to talk to the boys later today, knowing they'd want answers from both twins.
Obviously she would have to have this conversation with the two boys sooner or later but she was nervous for their reactions. What if they hated her for not telling them? She knew she was over reacting but she couldn't help it.
Shaking off her anxiety she pulls into the parking lot of the animal clinic and stops the car. She takes a second to herself before jumping out of the car and heading into the clinic
Inside the animal clinic, Deaton, Derek, Scott and Stiles attempted to prep Isaac for the ice bath he'd soon be submerged in.
"How slow does his heart rate need to be?" Scott worryingly questions.
"Very slow"
"Okay, well, How slow is very slow?" Derek crouches beside the tub which was now filled to the brim with water and ice
"Nearly dead" deaton nonchalantly replies, issac touches the water, immediately retracting his hand, hissing
"It's safe though, right?" He nervously questions. Deaton hesitates, just as he's about to reply the bell from the door chimes, the veterinarian smiles
"Not necessarily, but that's why she's here" he leaves the room. The three werewolves and Stiles look to each other curiously.
When Kaitlin Jones walks into the room, Scott and Stiles stare at the girl in shock, Derek and Isaac grow confused, not knowing the girl. When she sees the four her smiles fades, a shy expression takes over her face
"Hey"
"So she's gonna help with what exactly?" Issac questions as he eyes the small girl
"Kaitlin was born from a long line of witches" Kaitlin looks to her shoes, not wanting to see her friends reactions
"Oh wow" Stiles mumbles, he looks to Kaitlin sadly, she looks up meeting his eyes but quickly looks away
Scott is left speechless, his gaze flickering back and forth between Kaitlin and Deaton, Kaitlin steps forward gently grabbing Scott wrist and tugging him away from the rest
"I promise after this is done I will explain everything, okay?" His eyes soften and he grabs the girls hand, nodding and giving it a light squeeze
"Okay"
Kaitlin smiles, moving back to stand beside the tub of ice, she gives issac a reassuring smile, he returns the gesture. She remembered Isaac vaguely from her childhood, she hadn't talked to him much, but she knew of him.
"If anything goes wrong, Kaitlin will be here to pull you out" Deaton reassures him. A rubber snapping sound is heard, all heads turn to Stiles who's wearing a grin as he looks at his arm length glove with a grin
The boy in plaid notices everyone looking at him "what?" Derek gives him a glare, Stiles sighing before he takes off the glove, Issac sighs before standing up
"Look, if it feels to risky, you don't have to do this." The alpha assures, straightening his arms on the rim of the tub, Scott nods in agreement
Issac looks to Kaitlin, who stood on the other side of the tub "you know what your doing?"
Kaitlin's smirks "you'll be fine, Issac, I've been doing it for years" Issac looks to the girl with weary eyes before taking off his shirt and exhaling. He steps into the tub, the group watching him closely, as he attempts to sit in the cold bathtub.
Scott and Derek glance at each other, placing their hands on Isaac's shoulders and pushing him under the water
For a few moments it was fine, but after not to long Issacs true form broke free, jolting up from the water, his eyes a bright yellow and his fangs beard.
"Get him back under" deaton instructed, Stiles was now attempting to keep the werewolf submerged.
But Isaac didn't want to co-operate, he trashed in the water, the two werewolves struggled to keep him in the water as he drenched them.
"Hold him" Kaitlin interjected, Rowling up the sleeves of her jumper
"Don't you think we're trying!" Derek snapped. Kaitlin rolls her eyes before she moves forward, slightly pushing Scott and Derek out of the way, there hands still holding Isaac
The brunette hovers her hand over issacs head, calming him. Not moments later he relaxed and slowly moved to the surface of the water with his eyes open.
"Remember, only Kaitlin talks, too many voices will confuse him and draw him out" deaton holds up a finger, his voice soft. After the three boys nod, he gestures for Kaitlin to start
"Issac? Can you hear me?" Her voice is kind and soft
"Yes, I can hear you" the beta replies after a moment of silence
"It's Kaitlin, I don't know if you remember me, but is it okay if I ask you a few questions?" Kaitlin continued, she was calm, like she'd done it before.
"Yes"
Kaitlin glances at deaton, the thunder outside getting worse "I want to ask you about the night you found Erica and Boyd "
"I want you to remember it for me in as vivid detail as possible, like your actually there" she tried her best to keep a steady voice, knowing one wrong word could send the beta into a panic
"I-I don't wanna do that" He was getting scared now, repeating "I don't wanna go that"
"Issac it's all right just relax" Kaitlin glances at Scott, his eyes are on her and he's worried "they're just memories, you can't be hurt by a memories, remember I told you you'll be fine"
"I don't wanna do that"
"Your okay"
"I don't wanna do that"
"Relax" Kaitlin moves her hand around Isaac's, calming him
"Great" Stiles keeps his eyes on the brunette, occasionally glancing at Isaac wearily, Derek takes a glance at Kaitlin, skepticism in his eyes
"Okay, lets go back to that night, to the place you found Erica and Boyd" Kaitlin's head starts to pound, she blinks in an attempt to rush the pain away, continuing her talk with Isaac.
"Can you tell me what you see? Is there some sort of building? A house?"
"It's not a house. It's stone" Isaac's voice is deep and has a cold edge to it, he takes a breath
"I think marble" Kaitlin smiles at the cold boy "that's perfect"
"Can you give me any other descriptors?" She questions, trying not to push him to hard
"It's dusty, so empty" he slowly explains
"Like an abandoned building?"
The lights begin to flicker, Kaitlin's headache worsening, the four men in the room glancing around them and then to Kaitlin
"Issac" Kaitlin's voice is forced and strained, Scott looking at her with worrying eyes
"Someone's here" Issac moves around slightly in the water, he reaches his hand out and grabs Scott's forearm
"Issac, it's okay, relax" Kaitlin tries to reassure the beta
"No, no, no, no. They see me, they see me" Issac screams, thrashing around in the water. Scott and Derek attempt at keeping Issac in the tub of water, him screaming. Stiles looks to Kaitlin, seeing the pain in her eyes
"There just memories, you can't be hurt by memories. Just relax" she reassures him, he keeps a firm grip on Scott's arm as he relaxes
"Good, that's great issac" Kaitlin's headache eases, but she shuts her eyes in pain, Stiles grabs her free wrist gently
She looks at him, he gives her a worried look. She forcefully smiles at him reassuringly
"Now, Isaac can you tell us what you see? Tell us everything" Isaac opens his eyes, his natural blue taking over. "I hear him"
"He's talking about the full moon, about being out of control when the moon rises"
"Is he talking to Erica?" Kaitlins headache is faint now.
"I think so, I can't...I can't see her. I can't see either of them" his lips trembled from the cold "Can you hear anything else?"
Issac has stopped resisting, but the lights flickered. Kaitlin's headache slightly returning
"They're worried, worried what they'll do during the moon, what they're gonna do to each other" The thunder rubbles from outside, Kaitlin's head feels like someone drilling into it now, the tension of the calming spell getting to her head.
"If they're locked in together on the full moon, they're gonna tear each other apart." Derek whispers to Scott who nods in agreement
"Isaac, we need to find them right now" Kaitlin restarts "can you see them?"
"No"
"Do you know what kind of room it is? Is there any kind of a marker? A number on a door?"
The beta jumps from the tub, sitting upright, Kaitlin's headache worsens, the lights flickering
"They're here" Isaac whispers, Stiles looks around the room confused and a tad bit scared
"They're here, They're here" he slowly moves lower into the tub, he starts to panic "No They're here"
"They see me. They found me. They're here!" Kaitlins head is throbbing, she moves her hand to her forehead, rubbing it roughly
"This isn't working, Isaac, where are you?" Derek intervenes, yelling at his beta.
Everyone looks to Derek, Deaton beginning to argue with him, Kaitlin's vision goes blurry
"Tell me where you are!"
"I can't see!"
"You're going to confuse him" deaton calmly states "tell me where you are"
"He could go into shock Derek" Kaitlin painfully states to the werewolf
"Derek let him go!"
"Isaac where are you what did you see!" Derek ignores Scott's protests, yelling at Isaac more
"It's a vault, it's a bank vault!"
One last clap of thunder is heard, Kaitlin gets light headed, falling backward as Issac jumps forward from the tub. Stiles moves to catch Kaitlin, the brunette coming in and out of consciousness
"I saw it, I saw the name" he moves to jump out of the tub, Scott takes his eyes off Kaitlin when Stiles reassures him and moves to help Isaac
"It's uh, beacon hills first national bank" he shivers as he's wrapped in a towel
Stiles lowers Kaitlin to the ground, gently holding her head beside him, she Sobers up a bit, looking at the boy drowsily
The others in the room watch Isaac as he explain the bank that Boyd and Erica were being held
"What?"
"You don't remember what you said do you?" Scott questions him "no"
Isaac looks at the pair that sat in the ground
"You said when they captured you that they dragged you into a room and that there was a body in it." Stiles explains to Isaac, keeping a firm grip on Kaitlin
"What body?"Isaac looks around curiously
"Erica" Kaitlin drowsily buts in, slowly moving her head to look at him
"You said it was Erica"
