the matchmaker II Steph Catley x Reader

romantic masterlist | platonic masterlist | word count: 1742
summary: A tulip field, a runaway dog, and an unexpected meeting—when Calvin disappears for a moment, he comes back with more than muddy paws: he might’ve just found Steph her perfect match.
author's note: Hi everyone, we truly enjoyed writing this oneshot and hope it brings you just as much joy while reading it. 🌷🌷
disclaimer: everything in this fanfiction is purely fictional and nothing corresponds to reality.

Spring had officially arrived. The clouds had made space for some sunshine and the air smelled sweetly of the first blooming flowers. It was the perfect day for a trip to the tulip fields, Beth had decided. So, she had rallied a few of her teammates, packed up their dogs, and set out.
Now they stood at the edge of the fields. Neat rows of tulips stretched out in front of them in every shade imaginable. Around them, the space was buzzing with life.
Across the tulip fields was a square with wooden picnic tables and lined with food stalls, from which a delicious smell wafted over to them. People were busy being flowers, taking photos and sipping drinks. It felt like spring.
Calvin and Myle watched the crowd with wagging tails.
“It will be just like the Netherlands.”, Beth told her Dutch girlfriend brightly as they arrived.
Vivianne raised an eyebrow, unimpressed: “I very much doubt that.”
“But they even have Dutch food.”, Lotte pointed out, gesturing towards a stall selling poffertjes. The smell of tiny pancakes and powdered sugar filling the air.
“Won’t be as good as at home.”, Vivianne replied.
Her girlfriend elbowed her gently: “Viv, stop pouting for once and enjoy it. Look how excited Myle and Calvin are to be here.”
Vivianne looked down. Both dogs were sniffing the ground with twitching noses.
Steph nodded, reaching down to pet Calvins head: “Yes, both of them love it here.”
She then turned to her teammates and nodded toward another stall: “Wait here, I’ll get us all coffee. That will definitely lift up Vivs mood. Lotte, can you hold Calv for a second?”
Grinning, the defender took the leash from Steph: “Sure, come here, Calv.”
“Thanks.”, Steph smiled at her teammate and handed Calvin over. She crouched down at Calvins level for a second: “Don’t worry, I’ll be right back.”
While Steph got their caffeine fix, Vivianne looked across the tulip fields, arms crossed in front of her: “And they call this a tulip field?”
“Stop it and drink your coffee.”, Steph laughed as she returned, balancing a cardboard with to-go cups in her hands. She nudged one into Vivs hands. Just as she was about to pass one to Lotte, she realised that someone was missing.
“Uhm, Lotte? Where’s Calv?”
Panic flashed across Lottes face as she looked down at the now empty leash in her hand: “What? Oh my god, he was right here a second ago!”
“Don’t worry, he can’t be far. He’s probably where the food is.”, Beth said quickly, trying to keep the group calm.
Vivianne sighed, already scanning the crowd. “We’ll help you find him.”
With Calvins size, it wasn’t hard to spot him. He sat patiently in front of a woman in shorts, tail wagging as she scratched behind his ears like he had known her forever.
A relieved gasp escaped Steph’s lips the moment her eyes landed on her beloved dog—Calvin. He meant even more to her now than ever; he had been by her side when her previous relationship fell apart, helping her through the heartbreak.
“There he is!”, she exclaimed.
You looked up casually from the dog, only to meet the most enchanting brown eyes you’d ever seen.
“Oh, hi. Is this your dog?”
“Yes, that’s Calvin.”, the woman replied, her face lighting up with a smile that could outshine the spring sun. Wow, she’s gorgeous, you thought to yourself.
You turned your attention back to the dog you’d just met: “Hi, Calvin.”
For a moment, it felt like it was just the two of you, until you noticed three other women approaching and coming to a stop just behind her. Later, you'd come to know them as Beth, Lotte, and Vivianne.
“Oh, you’re Dutch too.”, the Manchester City player observed.
Her accent caught you off guard—it had a Scottish lilt to it, nothing like the Dutch tones you were used to. You gestured to the charming surroundings and explained: “Yes, I’m helping out some family here.”
“I told you this place felt authentically Dutch!”, the blonde chimed in, beaming up at the taller woman beside her, whose hand she held as if it belonged there. It didn’t take much to guess they were a couple.
To your surprise, Vivianne addressed you in Dutch: “Zorg je voor het eten of voor de bloemen?” (Are you taking care of the food or the flowers?)
“De bloemen.”, you replied with a soft smile. (The flowers.)
Beth nudged Steph gently, her blue eyes dancing with amusement: “Calvin seems to really like her.”
“Yes, he won’t leave her side. Calv, come on.”, Steph said, clearly entertained by her dog’s sudden loyalty.
With a cheeky grin, the blonde quipped: “Looks like Calvin wants her number before he goes.”
“Beth!”, Steph exclaimed, fingers running nervously through her hair.
You perked up, half-laughing, half-curious. “My phone number?”
With a cocky grin, Beth suggested: “He clearly wants to see you again. And so does his mum.”
“She does? Is that true?”, you asked, glancing hopefully at the dog’s owner.
Before she had the chance to overthink it, her lips were already moving, her voice tinged with a nervous edge—it had been a while since she’d done anything like this: “Uhm… yes. Yes, we do.”
“Wait.”, you said quickly, before stepping away for a moment. When you returned, you held out a small scrap of paper, your phone number neatly scribbled on it.
A shy smile played across your lips as you handed it to her: “Here you go.”
“Thank you.”, Steph murmured, instinctively pressing the note close to her chest.
“Don’t hesitate to call or text me, yeah? I just need to get back to work now.”, you responded with a gentle smile.
“Promise I will.”, she replied, eyes locked on yours as though she was trying to memorise the moment.
Her gaze lingered on you, following your every step until you disappeared into the colourful crowd, the blur of people and petals reminding her of the tulips scattered at her feet.
Lotte grinned, absolutely delighted by the interaction and petted Calvins head: “Didn’t know Calvin was such a matchmaker.”
“Looks like he has a lot of hidden talents.”, Beth agreed.
Steph smiled down at her dog: “Good boy.”
With a smirk, Beth nodded towards the piece of paper Steph was still holding: “Looks like you’ll have a date soon.”
“Yes. God, I’m so nervous. I haven’t been on a date in a while.”, Steph admitted, tension creeping into her posture.
“Just bring Calvin and you already have something to talk about.”, Lotte replied, only half-joking.
Just a few days and many text messages later, you were set to meet Steph at Hampstead Heath. Your heart pounded as you waited, a bouquet of flowers in your hands. You tried to calm yourself down by repeatedly reminding yourself that it was only a walk.
Suddenly, Calvin came running toward you, tail wagging furiously. He launched himself at you, trying to lick your face.
With a laugh, you bent down to greet him as Steph called him back.
“Hi, Steph. I saw these and had to think of you.”, you smiled when you finally greeted each other properly, holding out the bouquet.
Stephs eyes widened as she took the flowers: “Oh my god, they’re beautiful. Thank you so much.”
“You’re welcome.”, you smiled, feeling a blush rise in your cheeks.
She handed you a to-go cup and you made a mental note that you had essentially never seen her without a cup of coffee in her hand.
“I got us coffee. I wasn’t sure what you like but I thought I couldn’t go wrong with a flat white.”, she said.
You inhaled the aroma of the warm beverage: “Thank you. Flat whites are my favourite.”
“Oh, mine too.”
With Calvin growing impatient, he three of you began to follow a little path through the lush green grass.
“So, “, you said after walking a while in comfortable silence. “I know you like flat whites, your dog and flowers. What else is there to know?”, you asked after you walked a while in silence.
Steph pretended to think for a moment: “I’m a football player, I’m Australian if you haven’t noticed and I’ve never been on a date with someone my dog picked out.”
You chuckled, your gaze following Calvin as he trotted ahead: “To be fair, Calvin gave me most charming meet-cute I ever had too.”
“I’m sure he knew what he was doing.”, the Australian commented with certainty.
You smiled at him affectionately: “Absolutely.” For a moment, you paused before confessing: “I’m glad we met that way.”
“You are? This wasn’t too much, or anything?”, she asked, listening carefully. You quickly reassured her.: “No, it was perfect. I wouldn’t change a thing.”
The two of you sat down on the bench. Calvin curled up peacefully beneath it. From there, you both had a wonderful view of the London skyline, framed by a beautiful blue sky. For a fleeting moment, a butterfly settled on the dog’s nose.
Curiously, Steph glanced your way.: “Oh, good. So, you help out with your parents’ flower fields? What else do you do?”
“I usually work as a florist in the city.”, you replied.
Turning her attention to the bouquet in her hands, the footballer murmured with genuine admiration: “Wow. Did you make this?”
“I did. I love being creative with it.”, you confirmed.
Just a few hours earlier, you’d carefully arranged the flowers, wondering what she might like. It had also helped calm your nerves before the date, giving you something to focus on, something to do with your hands.
A beautiful smile lit up the brunette’s face: “They’re really lovely.”
“Glad you liked them.”, you hummed, smiling back.
From there, the conversation flowed easily. The nervousness of the first few minutes melted away under the lovely sunshine. The walk was filled with laughter and little stories, and both of you knew—you wanted to see each other again.
Steph and you yearned for more time together before you even parted. And when you finally had to, you ended it with a kiss, just as the sky turned shades of purple and pink above you.
With a soft grin, the defender knelt beside Calvin and whispered into his ear: “Thank you, Calv. I really do like her.”
In return, he gave a quiet, knowing bark—as if he understood completely.

What friends are for | Kyra Cooney-Cross x Reader
5k celebration prompt: "That's what friends are for, right?" - "Right, because you're definitely not more than friends."
Woso masterlist | Words: 1.2k
-----
When Kyra joined Arsenal, the two of you instantly became friends. While she had found comfort with her fellow Aussies, she gravitated towards you. Her second week at the club? You already labelled yourselves as best friends.
Steph and Caitlin were happy to see Kyra make a new friend. They loved her of course, but she could be a little pest, and they were grateful that her energy would be divided between more people than just the two of them.
It didn’t take long before they started questioning if the two of you weren’t more than friends though. The two of you seemed to be glued to each other’s sides. From pitch walk partners, to always linking up for drills, to being over at each other’s places all the time. Yet whenever they asked, Kyra always told them you’re just friends.
Movie nights had become your favourite thing to do with Kyra. It had become a tradition for the two of you to have at least one movie night a week. Movie nights always included a sleepover, so today’s one did as well.
Kyra opened her door and smiled when she saw you standing on her doorstep, your kit bag slung over your shoulder. “Come on! I am so excited about this movie.” She said as she pulled you into her apartment. You put down your kit bag next to the door and kick your shoes off. “You picked without me?”
She looks at you dead serious, “Yes, you picked without me last time, so now it’s my turn.” You knew picking last time was going to come back to bite you in the ass, but it was movie night, so you’d have fun no matter what. “Alright Kyky, what movie did you pick?”
“Home Alone!” She yells from the kitchen, where the microwave had just dinged to let her know the popcorn was done. “Home Alone? It’s May, why are we watching a Christmas movie?”
Kyra walked back into the living room, “I love Home Alone, and so do you, so no complaining.” You playfully rolled your eyes and sat down on the sofa. Kyra sat down beside you and handed you the popcorn, “See, I knew you would give in.”
You shove her lightly, before cuddling into her side. It was by your own definition the most comfortable way to watch a movie. Together you watched, laughed, and ate your popcorn. And once the movie was over, you made your way over to Kyra’s bedroom. She had a one bedroom apartment, as did you, so you had always shared the bed.
The next morning, you woke up cuddled into Kyra's side. It wasn't unusual, this is how you woke up most sleepovers with Kyra. You got up to get a headstart on breakfast while you let Kyra sleep a little longer.
“You're too good for me.” Kyra states as she follows the smell of her favourite pre-training breakfast. You smile at her groggy morning voice, “I try.”
Kyra drove the both of you to training. Once she parked the car you jumped out, since you had a session with the physio in five minutes that you had almost forgotten about. In your haste you quickly run past Steph, who had just gotten out of her car. She watches you with an amused smile on her face, and then turns to Kyra.
“Finally got the missus to move in, and now you’ve scared her off?” Kyra rolls her eyes. “I think she actually enjoyed herself quite well. She even made me breakfast.” Steph looked at her with eyes of disbelief, how could she not see it. “What? That’s what friends are for, right?” She asked when she noticed the look Steph gave her. “Right, because you’re definitely not more than friends.” The older Aussie told her while rolling her eyes, before walking off, leaving Kyra to trail behind her.
You had made it just in time for your physio appointment, and with some tape applied to your knee, you were free to join the rest of the girls for training. The day started with some warm-up exercises before working on the rest of the planned training session.
To finish the session off, you were playing a little 5v5. Everyone on the team always got super competitive while playing 5v5, even if it was just to be named winners of today’s session.
Apparently you and Katie got a little too competitive, because when you were jumping up to head the ball, Katie’s head collided with yours. The two of you fell to the ground, each clutching your heads.
The medical team was quickly by your sides, but Kyra was quicker. She hadn’t even been on either of the teams, she was just sitting on the sidelines, yet she had gotten up and sprinted across the field to get to you as fast as she could. She crouched down by your side, quickly getting some of the grass off your face. “Are you okay? Are you hurt?” The medical team pushed her to the side. “Kyra, you need to give us some space.”
She stood to the side watching them do checks on you, but then to her side she saw Katie already standing up, fully cleared by the medics that were checking out, and something within her snapped.
“Look what you did!” She snapped, lunging towards Katie. Luckily Caitlin caught on to Kyra quicker than she could do anything and stepped in between her and Katie. Before either Caitlin or Katie can say something, you speak up. “Kyky, don’t.” It was all you had to say for Kyra to fully stop, making it so that Caitlin didn’t have to hold her back anymore.
Katie chuckled at how easily you were able to stop her from her anger. “Ha, your wife said you're not allowed to hit me.” Caitlin quickly stepped forwards again and sent her girlfriend a disappointed look. Katie held up her hands in surrender. “It’s not my fault she’s whipped.” She said under her breath as she stepped back.
Kyra kept her eyes on Katie, the girl who hurt you. Her eyes were filled with anger. “She’s up.” Caitlin said to Kyra, and she quickly focussed back on you instead. “Are you alright?” You nod, “Yeah I’ll be fine. Maybe a bit of a black eye.” You could see Kyra’s eyes turn angry again, so you put your hand on her arm. “Breathe, Kyky, I’m okay. Katie did nothing wrong.”
She let her eyes focus back on you, to double check if you were really okay. Then she nodded slowly. “Can you maybe get me an icepack?” Kyra smiled, “Yes, of course. One icepack, coming right up.” She didn’t have to run, but she did.
While she is occupied doing that, you head over to Katie. “Sorry about her. Are you alright?” Katie’s smirk grows, “Even speaking for her like you’re married I see.” You roll your eyes. “Grow up.” You say jokingly. “Fine fine, I’m good. Seems like you got the worst of it, you’ll be okay?” You nod, “Yeah, I should be good. I think I’ll have myself a nurse 24/7 for a bit though.” You say as you watch Kyra sprint back with an icepack. “Lucky you.” Katie says as she pats your back as she watches your eyes shine just a little brighter as you watch Kyra nearing.

choices | always sunny in australia
pairings: matildas x teen!reader, sam kerr x teen!reader
summary: you’re deadline of choosing a club is drawing to a close
warnings: tad bit of anxiety
notes: i love writing this series but she doesn’t have a name yet 😭 also please tell me where you want her to go!!
Barcelona, Arsenal, Chelsea, Lyon, Bayern—the list goes on. Ever since your debut with the Matildas, your phone hasn’t stopped buzzing with offers. Some of the biggest clubs in the world want you, and yet, the idea of actually making a choice feels impossible.
You’ve never played for a professional club before. Just your school team—a high-level program that ran things almost professionally, but still, it wasn’t this. This is something entirely different.
And it terrifies you.
Luckily, you had been fortunate enough to run into Nicole— literally. You had bumped into her on the street, and somehow, a simple conversation had led to her becoming your manager. She was American, well-connected in the American football world, and, most importantly, someone who quickly understood you. She had a way of grounding you when your thoughts spiraled, and she had spent the past few weeks constantly reminding you:
“Kid, it’s going to be alright,” she told you over the phone more times than you could count. “You have all these offers because they know you’re great. Because you deserve to be here. The potential? That’s just a bonus.”
It helped, at least for a little while. But now, being in camp with the Tillies, you realize something. You really should have kept this whole thing a secret.
The moment you step onto the pitch for training, it starts.
“So…” Ellie drawls, stretching out beside you, a mischievous glint in her eyes. “Lyon’s looking nice, huh? France, big club, great team chemistry…”
“Mate, don’t listen to her,” Steph interrupts, rolling her eyes. “Arsenal is the place to be. Proper football, historic club. You’d fit right in.”
Caitlin nods along. “Arsenal’s a family, you know. You’d love it.”
You open your mouth to respond, but then—
“Oi, don’t fill her head with that nonsense.” Sam appears, slinging an arm around your shoulders. “Chelsea, Kiddo. That’s where legends are made. London is blue, everyone knows that.”
Mini, who had been listening quietly, grins and jumps in. “Or, you could not go to London and join Westham. Come on, imagine it—me, Kristie, and Harper anytime you want.”
“You’re really using your child as bait?” Macca snickers.
“She loves Harper,” Mini argued. “Why are you working against me? We are trying to get her to Westham together.”
You groan, shaking your head as they all start bickering. It’s a full-blown debate now, the pros and cons of each club being thrown around like a transfer market panel show. Even Kyra joins in, throwing out a case for Arsenal again (and, unsurprisingly, getting an eye roll from Sam and Mini).
It’s all meant to be playful, but after a while, it starts to feel like too much. Too many voices, too many opinions, too much pressure. Your chest tightens, and you step back, suddenly needing space.
“I—I need a sec,” you mutter before quickly slipping away from the group.
You should have known they wouldn’t stop at training.
The moment you step into the weight room, water bottle in hand, you feel multiple sets of eyes lock onto you. A chill runs down your spine.
“Oh no,” you mutter.
“Oh yes,” Ellie grins, draping herself over the bench press like she’s been waiting for this moment. “Weight room negotiations, baby.”
Alanna claps her hands together, looking far too pleased with herself. “Alright, Sunny. It’s simple, they are prepared to sweeten the deal.”
You blink. “What?”
Steph crosses her arms, tilting her head. “Think of it as… recruitment incentives.”
Mini steps forward first, completely serious. “If you come to West Ham, Kristie, Macca, and I will take you in, no questions asked. You’d have a proper home, actual home-cooked meals, and Harper already loves you. Plus, family. Can’t put a price on that.”
You hesitate. That… that actually sounds really nice.
Ellie shakes her head. “Please. You belong at Lyon. Think about it—France, a club filled with legends, the best players in the world. Plus, French food. And if you come, I’ll personally make sure you get the best local recommendations.”
Alanna snickers, clearly enjoying the chaos. “Ohhh, big promises being made.”
Mini narrows her eyes at Ellie. “You can’t even speak French.”
“I am learning,” Ellie shoots back. “Another pro, language immersion. Learn French from the French with a fresh croissant in hand.”
Steph, watching it all unfold, casually chimes in. “Or, you could just pick Arsenal and not have to deal with all that.”
Caitlin leans against the squat rack, looking casual. “And, Arsenal will pay for your flights if you ever want to visit home. Think about it. Free trips home.”
Kyra nods. “I second that.”
Macca, who has been listening with amusement, finally chimes in. “You come to West Ham, and I’ll teach you how to do a proper Aussie barbecue. None of that tourist nonsense.”
At this point, you’re just laughing. “You guys are insane.”
“Insane, or genius?” Ellie smirks.
You roll your eyes, shaking your head as you grab a dumbbell. “You really want me to pick your teams, huh?”
Sam shrugs. “Nah, no pressure.” Then she grins. “But Chelsea’s the move.”
Alanna just chuckles as you let out a groan, watching the chaos unfold. “This is so much better than any TV show.”
You find Sam at the edge of the pitch after training, taking a breather by herself, her gaze fixed on the horizon. It’s rare for her to be alone, and you figure this might be the perfect time to talk.
You hesitate, standing a few feet away, unsure if you should approach. After all, she’s been nothing but relentless in pushing Chelsea your way. But then, you remind yourself that she’s been your teammate long enough to know when something’s off.
She turns when she hears you approach, an easy smile spreading across her face. “Alright, kid, what’s up?”
You let out a breath, not sure how to phrase it. “I, uh… I’ve been thinking about the whole transfer thing. I just… I don’t know what to do. Like, everyone’s got their opinions, you know?” You look at her, meeting her eyes. “I don’t know where to go.”
Sam’s eyes soften, and she motions for you to sit down beside her. “Of course, mate. You want to talk about it?”
You sit down, a little closer than usual. The weight of your decision feels heavier now that it’s all real, and Sam seems to sense that.
“You’ve got a lot of people pushing you to choose their team,” Sam continues, her voice calm but not dismissive. “It’s hard not to feel like you’re making the wrong choice when so many people have their own agendas.” She smirks. “I’ll admit, I’ve got my own agenda, obviously.” She pauses, then glances at you, tone changing to something quieter, more sincere. “But I’m gonna put that aside for a second, alright?”
You look at her, a little surprised. “Wait, what?”
“I know I’ve been pushing you toward Chelsea. I’ve been doing it since you got here, but,” Sam exhales, her smile fading as she turns her focus forward again, “I think I might’ve been going about it wrong. It’s not about where I want you to go. It’s about what’s gonna make you feel right, you know?”
You blink, a bit shocked by the shift in her tone. You’ve always known Sam as the kind of person who goes after what she wants with everything she’s got, and yet here she is, backing off.
“You’ve been so caught up in everyone’s opinions,” she continues, her voice low and gentle, “and I get it. I really do. But at the end of the day, it’s your decision. You’re the one who has to be happy with it. You’re the one who has to live with it. Not me, not Mini, not Caitlin or anyone else. You. It’s your future, your career.”
She pauses, looking at you, as if waiting for you to process what she’s saying.
You can feel the lump in your throat start to form, and you swallow, nodding slowly. “I just… I don’t want to mess it up. Everyone keeps saying this is a huge step, and I feel like I’m about to make the wrong one.”
Sam chuckles softly, leaning back on her hands. “Listen, I’ve been in your shoes, more times than I can count. The pressure to make the perfect decision, the fear of making the wrong move… but you know what? There’s no such thing as the perfect move. There’s just the one that feels right for you at the time. And yeah, sometimes that can change. Sometimes, you’ll feel unsure, and that’s okay. That’s part of the journey.”
She turns to face you fully now, her eyes kind, but serious. “What I want for you, what I really want, is for you to pick the place where you’re gonna be comfortable. Not the place where you think you’ll get the most fame, or the most money, or even the best team on paper. I want you to pick the place where you’ll wake up every day and feel like you belong. Where the coach sees you for who you are, not just the next big thing. Where your teammates become your family, where you can grow without all the noise.”
You feel a weight lifting from your shoulders, and you let out a breath you didn’t even realize you were holding.
“That’s all it comes down to?” you ask, still processing. “Being comfortable?”
Sam smiles warmly. “Yeah. Because you’re gonna face challenges no matter where you go. But if you’re comfortable, if you know deep down that you’re in the right place, you’ll be able to handle those challenges with a clear head. And if things don’t work out? That’s okay, too. You always have the option to move on. Nothing’s permanent, especially in football.”
Her words settle over you, and for the first time since the whole transfer thing started, you start to feel a little more at ease.
“So… I should stop worrying about everyone else, huh?”
Sam shrugs with a grin. “Not stop worrying. But take our opinions with a grain of salt. At the end of the day, it’s your gut that’s gonna tell you where to go. Trust that.”
You nod, feeling lighter. “Thanks, Sam. Really. That… that actually helps a lot.”
She pats you on the back. “Anytime, kid. I’m always here. But next time, pick Chelsea, alright?” she teases, the smirk back on her face.
You laugh, feeling like a weight’s been lifted off your chest. For the first time in weeks, the pressure doesn’t seem so unbearable. It’s not about making the ‘perfect’ choice anymore. It’s about making the one that feels like the best fit for you. And that, somehow, feels right.
You should have really expected it to continue onto the pitch.
The teams are mixed for the scrimmage, but that doesn’t stop the recruitment attempts.
The second you receive a pass from Mini, Ellie, who is on the opposing team, immediately tries to sweet talk you instead of pressing.
“Hey, mate,” she grins, jogging backward. “Think about it— Lyon. France. The best club in the world. You could be teammates with Renard. With Horan. With Diani. And of course, DVD.”
You shove the ball past her, shaking your head. “Not happening, Ellie.”
Across the field, Mini sprints to your side. “West Ham, Sunny! Think about it, me, Kristie, Harper. You’d have a family there.”
Caitlin intercepts a pass and grins at you. “Or, you could be with us at Arsenal, playing beautiful football and winning trophies.”
Steph steals the ball next and points at you as she runs past. “Arsenal.”
Alanna, of course, is eating it all up. She jogs past you, arms crossed. “You know, if you don’t decide soon, I could start some transfer rumors. Just saying.”
“Alanna, don’t,” you groan.
She smirks. “I dunno, mate. ‘Tilies Young Star Leaning Towards Move to—’”
You throw your hands up. “Enough!”
Everyone stops, waiting. The whole team is looking at you, expecting an answer.
You exhale sharply. “I already made my decision with Nicole in the middle of camp. I’m going to sign with-“

Engagement bliss
Leah Williamson x arnold!reader

“You’re gonna call me when you can yeah?” Leah asked as she held both your hands while you leaned into her body. You were both saying goodbye to each other as you were travelling to Florida with your Australian teammates for camp, while Leah would stay in England for Lionesses’s Camp.
Your first camp engaged.
As well as hers, but her first camp back since her ACL injury, you were on the edge of tears at the thought of how proud you were.
“Of course I always do” you said pulling her arms down slightly towards you that held yours, placing a long kiss on her lips
“Don’t loose it ay?” Leah said with a cheeky smile, pulling your left hand up in between your close met faces. Tapping the shiny ring on your finger.
“I won’t. Promise. Ditto yeah?” You said now holding up her hand with the ring you gave to her after she proposed. She interlocked both the hands that were up and kissed your knuckles. “Proud of you” you said softly. Maybe for the 10th time just this morning
“Thank you. I’m proud of you, always, but you know that” she said shrugging with a grin.
“Okay I should go” you said looking at your Watch, “I love you” you said kissing her again, lips lingering longer.
“Love you miss you already” Leah said, causing your face to scrunch up at the corny comment, you pulled away from her embrace and grabbed your suitcase she had wheeled in for you. You blew her a kiss before you walked up to Steph, Caitlin, Charli, Kyra and MacKenzie, your ‘London Aussies’.
“Fucks sake Throw me in front of a speeding truck already” Kyra groaned, dreading the upcoming flight, as you all walked towards your terminal
“Oh?” You and Steph said, concern and confusion.
“It’s just 9 and a half hours darling” you said rubbing the young girl’s head roughly.
“Come on pick up the pace” Caitlin said to the group, skipping, as you were all walking too slow the for the given time left you had the catch boarding
“I can’t” you said slowly as you yawned.
“Leah’s excited I’m assuming?” Your sister Mackenzie asked about Leah’s return to England Camp.
“Over the moon” you smiled as you nodded “I don’t know why she was sappier than usual about me leaving. While she’s barely gonna even think about me in camp”
“Please, The girl’s engaged and captaining England again. Yeah she’s on camp but I promise you she won’t stop thinking about you” she assured you as you both smiled. “Far out I’m gonna get so many messages from that girl, frantic, because she can’t reach you” you both laughed, reminiscing the multiple times that had happened.
“That’s because you always tell her I’ve been kidnapped or something!” “It’s funny!”

————————————
You could feel your body starting to give itself out slowly as you grew tired. You had been running some basic drills as you and your national team settled into the first session of the camp.
The Florida weather was nice, felt a bit more like home compared to England, but nothing like the Australian warm weather. You were excited at the reminder that you, Macca, Lani, Caitlin and Hayley would all head to the beach as soon as possible after training.
As you anticipated, all of your teammates that didn’t live in London and could not make it to your engagement dinner were fawning over your ring. Them just as excited as you. The Matilda’s media photographer had gotten you and Ellie to pose with your left hands up for a photo with both your rings.
Heaps of your national trainers commented on the fact that the engagement was radiant on your face and your energy was through the roof, causing you to smile ear to ear.
By the end the session, you were playing a game of 5-aside oztag. You had yourself, Sharn, Teagan, Michelle and Hayley on your team.
“Games over!” You exclaimed laying on the ground, when Caitlin had shoved you to the ground for the 10th time in the 20 minute game.
“Sore loser!” Caitlin yelled as she kicked the ball to your head before you quickly rolled away to dodge Caitlin’s good aim.
“That’s not even how you play” You yelled to your best friend as she made her way back from the try line.
“Yes it is” She laughed, whilst Michelle helped you off the ground.
“Great job today girls. Have a good afternoon I’ll see you tonight” Tony smiled at you all, letting you know you could head back to the bus.
On the bus you were leaned against the window, legs sprawled out against both seats in the row. Talking to Alanna who sat across from you in the same position. “I’m sorry again I couldn’t make it to your dinner last week” she smiled at you.
“Are you kidding me. I understand completely. Getting to see you here is just as amazing for me”
Alanna just laughed. Causing you to scrunch your eyebrows at her, you had only said something sweet.
“You sound so much like her” she laughed
“Who Leah?” You smiled
“Yes!”
“How” you couldn’t help but laugh
“The accent. You sound English now! You’re picking up on her too much. Don’t be turning English on us now y/n” you both laughed. “No but it was a nice offer from her for your dinner. And I love the fact that she told me she was going to propose before she did” Lani grinned.
“Did she actually” you said smiling
“Yes! She made a group chat” she said walking over to you, shifting your legs so they were now on top of her thighs and she took up the seat. Pulling out her phone to show you.

WHAT THIS IS NEWS
Alanna
OMG
Caitlin
HUH I ANTICIPATED A MONTH
You couldn’t help but laugh at the small group chat your girlfriend has created. The texts managed to go on past your engagement when Mackenzie shared a video of the moment all of your teammates saw you and became obsessed with the ring. Which turned into them ganging up on you about something else, “Hang on” you stopped Lani from scrolling
“Uh uh!” She shoved her phone away making you both laugh.
“You better add me to that chat!”
“Never”
———————————
“Cmon!” you squealed. Pulling Caitlin’s hand as you both sprinted down the sand, Hayley filming the sweet moment. The sunset was electric and perfect. Around 10 of your teammates were already on the beach on a large blanket. Taking loads of photographs of the scenery surrounding you that you had all missed.
After 20 minutes of laying on Kyra’s lap and enjoying the water in front of you, talking with the people you missed most. The left pocket of your shorts started to buzz.
You immediately knew it was your fiancé, so you picked the phone up as you got up and walked away from the group. Every single one of them mocking the way you blushed and picked up the phone saying “hey baby”.
“Shove it up your ass” You yelled back at them as the mocking didn’t stop. You heard Leah’s warm chuckle on the other side of the phone.
“Who was that” she asked
“Most of the girls. They are mocking the way I talk to you” you said into the phone making you both laugh. “Tell me everything! Photos aren’t enough”
Leah talked on for ages about how camp was going for her. Friends, trainings, rooming alone, being engaged at camp, travel and the ‘too spicy’ food. The more she talked the more she managed the full your heart even more.
“What about you?” I’ve talked enough”
“Oh my girl I could listen to you for moths” you said softly “yeah it’s great. I’m very excited to play on Monday. Everyone is ready already” you said before hearing a few moments of silence on her end of the call “Leah?”
She just laughed
“What?”
“I was sent a video of you from a group chat of me, your sister, Alanna and Caitlin. You’re Looking relaxed on the beach there” Leah chuckled
“That damn group chat!” You exclaimed. “Add me to it! I’ve got fomo”
You did happen to be laying on the sand, by yourself, phone pressed up to your ear. In sight of your cheeky teammates. You sat up slightly to give them your middle finger.
“No we have a truce. We can’t add you. You don’t have fomo, you just don’t want us talking about you”
“Yeah fomo!” You said making her laugh again, “ and a truce?!”
“Haven’t lost the ring yet darling?” Leah said in that tone that could send you spinning
“Nup. I’m staring at it right now. Hoping you have yours on”
“Of course” she said
“I understand what everyone means. You really just can’t stop staring at it. Like it’s not even the ring it’s like the fact that it’s my engagement ring. From you”
“I can’t keep my eyes off of it. How could I. It’s a symbol of you” Leah said softly
“I love you. I need to go now they are packing up cause it’s dark now. I miss you Lee, I’m proud of you like you don’t even know”
“I’m proud of you. You call me when you get up in the morning. I’ll be sure to be awake. Love you, miss you”
“Bye” you both said before hanging up and you made your way up to the group that were half way up the beach waiting for you, you smiling in appreciation of it at them.
———————————
Leah
“Have you gotten the photos back?” Georgia asked me as I refreshed my email account on my laptop for the hundredth time.
“No. And it’s kind of frustrating. He’s taking a week longer than he said he would”
“What photos are we talking about?” Mary asked
“The professional photos from Leah’s engagement. They are taking too long apparently” Keira explained
“Mates probably sold them to the internet first” Mary shrugged
“Don’t joke about that” i laughed, worry lingering in my tone
“I thought you wanted the moment to be super private?” Mary asked
“No it was. There was no one else. He came like 20 minutes later, as well as our families. I managed to surprise y/n with her’s” I grinned at the thought of the moment as I explained to the three girls at the table
“Well I’m very excited to see them” Keira said
Me and y/n announced our engagement on our instagram via a simple selfie we took together just 10 minutes after I got down on one knee. She laughed brightly in the photo as we both held our hands with the rings up for the camera, me kissing her cheek, and a tear stained face y/n. As well as me posting a small snippet of the moment I first asked her. I had set my phone down to video, somehow without her batting an eye. We are both all for living in the moment.
But honestly, I knew getting to look back on it in a video would be so special with her.
We agreed we couldn’t keep it in for too long the next day, so could not possibly wait for the professional photos taken. Just two very excited people.
——————————
Y/n
While your Australian Captain and close friend Sam had unfortunately done her ACL, as was still out. You had been given the position to Captain your country whilst her injury. You would also officially Captain your country at the Olympics in July and August.
You were called up alongside Tony for MD-1 press conferences at camp whilst being captain. And you actually really enjoyed them.
“Ready y/n?” Tony asked as you got out of the car and were walking into the stadium. Pulling a thumbs up to the camera crew following you both for the Matilda’s all-access video.
When you were both later settled into the conference room, you shuffled your chair in closer to the microphone before it began. Questions were at first fired at Tony, on camp call up describes and inside training decisions made by the staff.
The first question that was directed to you made you smiled when the short lady started “Hello y/n, just wanted to start by congratulating you and Leah on your engagement last week” she smiled up at you
You laughed slightly and smiled wide back “Thank you very much I appreciate it” you nodded, motioning her to continue with the question before she asked you about the preparations in the team and how the team feels about being in sunny Florida.
“And also the team just- well you know we are coming from all around the world I would say, different seasons. And I know, coming from cold London that it is such a refresher being in this weather for walking around and relaxing purposes I guess”
“And training purposes I’m hoping?” Tony asked, making the room laugh
“That’s the most important one yes” You laughed
After 15 minutes, as the conference was soon to be closed. You got asked a question mentioning your engagement once again. “It’s your first camp being engaged. How does that feel?”
You tried to keep professional and not focus on your own relationship too much, “Yeah the support is real with this team, always is, and it radiates off the happy feeling we all get when we fly to camp. It’s all been, exciting for me and some of the girls have said the same to me so that’s a nice feeling” you said nodding towards her sweetly
“I’m hoping from y/n, this gives her a happy boost to get heaps of goals in on Sunday!” Tony says to you making you laugh and agree.
“We will end it there if there are no more questions, thank you everyone” the media manager announced
“Thank you” you mumbled quietly into your microphone before stepping out of the chair.
Receiving a text from your fiancé one you reached the car outside the stadium waiting to take you back to the hotel.
Leah
Spoken like a true Captain
Y/n
How did u watch that?
Leah
YouTube live darling😌
Y/n
I’ll be sure to watch yours then
——————————
You had played both games against Mexico and were leaving the hotel for the airport. It was 2am and safe to say the last thing you were in the middle for was getting on a nearly 10 hour flight. But the idea of Leah picking you up and getting to spend time with her at the end of the day motivated you not just fall asleep and miss your flight.
“Y/nnnn” Caitlin sung out as she opened your door. Bag of chips in her hand from the vending machine. “Time to go!”
“I could have been changing” you said, unplugging your phone charger from the wall
“Mm” Caitlin nodded, mouth full of chips “you should consider locking this” she tapped the door handle behind her before reaching for your suit case to wheel it out of the room, you following behind the your other bag as you closed the door.
12 hours later, you were finally out of security after they had to open your bag as hey suspected something. Which they were wrong about and apologised. And took out 10 minutes of your time.
All was pushed off your shoulders when you saw your favourite person standing in her jeans, your sweater, her favourite cream Uniqlo bag and a yellow bouquet of flowers in her hand.
It was a tradition for both of you whether Leah was at her own camp or not, she would greet you with a different colour of flowers and open arms at the airport when you reached London once again after camp.
You picked up the pace on your feet before letting go of your suitcase and jumping into her arms, sealing both your lips together with a kiss. Before she hugged you even tighter with a smile as you nuzzled your head into her neck, kissing her shoulder.
“I missed you” you said kicking your feet like a toddler in your fiancé’s arms, which she always found adorable and drove her crazy
“I’m sure I missed you more” she smiled before stealing your lips again and setting you down
“Hmm no” you said. Before she handed you the bouquet. “I love you. Thank you”
“My honour” she patted her chest in a jokingly matter, before you wrapped your arms around her neck again and kissing her for longer, and most definitely not for the last time that evening. “Hey you’ve still got it” she said softly as she held your left hand and caressing the finger the ring laid on.
You nodded with a smile whilst Leah wheeled your suitcase to her car as you walked. “I’m starving” you said watching her lift the suitcase into the trunk before you both settled inside the car.
“Good thing there is food in the back seat” you grinned, Leah turning on the car, you shot your head to the back seat to be met with nothing but some rubbish from Leah that had been there for weeks.
“Where?” You asked
“I’m joking” she mumbled before you slapped her shoulder hard “ow I’m about to drive” Leah whined
“That’s not funny!” You laughed
“You’re right it’s not. Let’s go get food now” Leah smiled at you sweetly and rubbing your thigh whilst she drove.
“Fine with me!” You smiled contently before grabbing the hand that rested on you before bringing it to your lips and kissing it “thank you fiancé”
Leah chuckled at the comment, making her cheeks warm up “that won’t stop until we actually get married will it?” She said
“Nah”

is that my shirt?
ellie carpenter x lyon!reader
summary: someone stole your favorite shirt, at least it was your favorite person who did.
warnings: suggestive content, making out, no smut but 18+
you had always been a dedicated player, and since joining lyon in 2020, you had found not only happiness but also a close knit family in your teammates.
now, in 2024, as you renewed your contract for another two seasons, the team felt more like home than ever. with your position as an attacking midfielder, you had thrived, your skills shining brightly on the pitch.
off the field, you had created a warm and inviting space that your teammates adored.
your apartment was a sanctuary, decorated in soft colors and adorned with plants that added a touch of life to the cozy environment. the open-concept living area featured a plush sofa surrounded by a plethora of cushions, inviting anyone to sink in and stay a while.
on weekends, it was common for your teammates to stop by. they would gather for lunch, indulge in beauty treatments that you happily provided, or simply lounge around, binge-watching their favorite shows on one of your many streaming services.
among all your teammates, you shared a special bond with ellie. your chemistry was undeniable, and ellie seemed to be the one who frequented your apartment the most.
whether it was to catch up on each other's lives, share a meal, have late night activities, or talk about any other important stuff, ellie’s presence always felt comforting. you couldn’t help but feel a flutter in your stomach whenever she came over.
that spark had started a while back, evolving into something more than just friendship, yet you had never put a label on it.
one chilly november afternoon, you were getting ready for a cozy day at home, but as you rummaged through your closet, panic set in. your favorite shirt—a soft, oversized brown piece that you often wore on lazy days—was missing.
you couldn’t recall the last time you had seen it. a quick mental review of your week revealed nothing but confusion. just then, a light bulb went off in your head. ellie had borrowed it during your last movie night, but you had been so wrapped up in laughter that you hadn’t thought about it since.
“oh no,” you mumbled to yourself. “ellie has my shirt.” the thought made you smile, and you decided that it was probably among the drying clothes in your laundry.
you would simply ask ellie to return it the next time you were together.
fast forward to january, you and your teammates were celebrating the opening of a new seafood restaurant in the city. you entered the beautifully decorated space, the scent of the ocean filling the air. you felt excitement, not only for the food but also for the time spent with your teammates.
they took their seats around a large table, laughter echoing as they perused the menu.
as you chatted with your friends, your gaze fell upon ellie, who sat across from you. she looked radiant, her hair falling perfectly around her face and her eyes sparkling with mischief at the menu.
your heart raced as you noticed ellie’s leather jacket had slightly parted, revealing the hem of your favorite shirt peeking out from underneath.
“no way,” you thought, a playful smirk forming on your lips. you tried to focus on the conversation, but your attention kept drifting back to that shirt.
you wanted to say something, but the thought of embarrassing ellie or drawing too much attention to your romance held you back. the playful teasing from your teammates would be relentless if they caught wind of it.
just then, ellie stood up, heading toward the bathroom. you seized the moment, your curiosity and playful nature urging you to follow.
a few minutes later, you slipped out of your seat and trailed after ellie, the sound of laughter fading behind you.
upon entering the bathroom, you found ellie at the sink, washing her hands. without thinking, you slipped behind her and wrapped your arms around her waist, feeling the warmth radiating from her body.
ellie jumped slightly at the sudden embrace, turning her head to meet your gaze in the mirror.
“is that my shirt?” you whispered, your voice low and teasing.
ellie’s cheeks flushed a deep shade of red, her eyes widening in realization.
“i forgot to give it back,” the australian admitted, a sheepish smile creeping across her face.
“forgot, huh? so you are a thief then,” you teased, your voice dripping with playful sarcasm.
“but that is okay because you are a very hot thief.”
the air between you crackled with energy as you leaned closer, the warmth of your breath ghosting against ellie’s skin. she turned to face you, her eyes sparkling with mischief and something deeper.
without a second thought, you leaned in, capturing ellie’s lips in a soft kiss.
the kiss deepened, both of you losing yourselves in the moment. your heart raced, and you could feel ellie’s smile against your lips. it was everything you had both been wanting, a sweet moment stolen amidst the chaos of life.
time seemed to stand still until the sound of the bathroom door swung open.
“hey! you two! can you stop making out in there?” lindsey’s voice rang out, breaking the spell.
“the food is ready, and we are waiting for you!”
you and ellie pulled away, laughter bubbling between you as you turned to face lindsey. your face felt hot, knowing you had been caught, but the embarrassment melted into joy as you exited the bathroom together, joining your teammates at the table.
“what were you two doing in there?” selma joked as you settled back into your seat.
you exchanged a glance with ellie, the warmth still lingering in your shared smile.
“just talking,” you replied, unable to suppress your grin.
“you know how it is.”
“yeah, right,” sara chimed in, winking knowingly. the playful banter continued as everyone dug into their meals, but you and ellie continued to exchanged secret glances.

Strawberry kisses II Steph Catley x Reader
romantic masterlist | platonic masterlist | word count: 1060
summary: a soft morning with Steph Catley. requested
author's note: There’s nothing much to say, except that we hope you enjoy it. 🤍🤍
disclaimer: everything in this fanfiction is purely fictional and nothing corresponds to reality.
The past few days have been so emotional and overwhelming. Today marked the first free day after the whirlwind of winning the Champions League, so that was why you were still in bed, as the late morning sun had already touched Steph and your face.
Slowly you opened your eyes and turned to glance at your sleepy girlfriend who looked incredibly soft in the golden light.
"Morning.", you mumbled.
Her voice was still raspy from sleep as she pulled you closer to her, burying her face in the crook of your neck.
"Don't move yet, stay like this."
"But…okay, fine.", you sighed as you couldn't resist her.
Amused, Steph reminded you:" It's a free day, love, we don't need to be anywhere."
"I know.", you smiled at her, pressing a light kiss to her forehead.
You both glanced at Cal, the dog, who despite his smaller size somehow managed to take up the most space in the bed.
The Australian noted smirking: "And Cal's Walk still got time too."
"Yes, I can tell. He snuck into our bed again.", you groaned quietly. Even though you pretended to be annoyed by him you were always the first who say you missed him when both of you were away.
"Thanks.", Steph mumbled, her hand gently tracing your arm.
You reached for your phone and put on your favourite playlist. Soft tunes filled the room, making the morning feel even more peaceful.
While your girlfriend and you were cuddling, you replied: "But only a few more minutes. I want my coffee."
Even on a soft, lazy morning like today, the craving for a hot cup was still there.
"Coffee sounds great right now.", your girlfriend admitted. Quickly followed by a light laugh from her lips:" God, we're such coffee addicts, right?"
"I think we're fine. Who can say no to it?", you reassured her.
The Brunette answered grinning: "Leah."
"That doesn't count, she has no taste when it comes to food.", you countered.
"Accurate.", she nodded.
Smugly, you remarked: "But we do."
"Would you..?", Steph began in a hopeful tone.
Seeing her beautiful brown eyes blink at you in the most heartwarming way, you started to stretch before leaving the warm bed. “Yes, I’m making coffee for us now.”
“Love you.”, the defender stated, throwing you a playful kiss.
Turning around midway to the kitchen and the coffee machine, you teased: “How much?”
“Depends on how good the coffee is.”, Steph responded playfully, patting Calvin softly, who quickly took your place, closing his eyes and clearly enjoying the petting he received.
You focused back on pouring the steamed milk into her coffee, adding a final flourish to finish the design.
“My latte art worked!”, you announced, delighted.
Steph looked up in surprise: “You even made latte art?”
Grinning, you handed her the mug, careful not to ruin your masterpiece: “I did.”
“It’s a little heart.”, Steph noticed, her eyes lighting up.
“Yes, I…”, you started, about to explain how much you’d practiced when a sudden thud on your kitchen window cut you off.
You both frowned at each other until another stone hit the glass.
You walked over and opened the window to see Beth standing there, reaching for another stone.
“Bethany Jane!”, you called down.
The midfielder flinched, then grinned up at you: “Woah, full name today?”
“You could have broken the window!”, you scolded her playfully.
She rolled her eyes, unimpressed: “With those little pebbles? No way.”
“So are you coming down now or what?”, Vivianne called up from beside her, where she stood with Myle’s leash in hand.
“Yeah, we don’t have all day!”, Beth added.
You turned to Steph with a shrug but your girlfriend was already in the middle of pouring her coffee into a to-go cup and reaching Calvins leash.
Only when you went downstairs, you realised that the other couple was waiting with a picnic basket in hand.
Stephs eyes widened: “Are those…?”
“Strawberries? And other stuff? Yes.”, Vivianne smiled.
“Strawberries?”, you echoed, your voice filled with delight.
“We’re coming.”, Steph laughed, taking a sip from her cup.
“Come on, Calv.”, you said the dog eagerly fell in step with you.
“He’s excited too.”, Steph laughed, nodding at Calvins wagging tail as you trailed after Beth and Vivianne.
“Are we having breakfast in the park?”, you asked innocently, once you recognised the route.
Vivianne nodded: “That was the plan.”
In fact, that had not been the plan for this morning but feeling the rare sunshine on your face and seeing the bright red strawberries in the basket, made you reconsider.
“Love it.”, Steph said with a grin.
“Knew you would.”, Beth laughed as you reached the park.
Vivianne got to work, spreading out a huge picnic blanket while you let Calvin off his leash. He immediately bounded after Myle.
“The dogs love it too.”, you laughed, watching them chase each other with wagging tails.
“Yeah, you two will get some strawberries as treats too.”, Beth cooed at the dogs, crouching down with a strawberry in each hand.
“Thank you.”, you mouthed.
Amused, Beth lifted an eyebrow: “Did you thank me on Calvin’s behalf?”
“Yes.”, you admitted, chuckling.
The blonde’s smirk deepened: “Cute.”
Steph closed her eyes, clearly enjoying the moment, and leant her head against your shoulder. “What a great morning,” she hummed.
You had to agree with her. This scene was something straight out of the poem The Summer Day by Mary Oliver. In your mind, you reminisced the beautiful line: what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?
The simple but powerful answer was right in front of you: to enjoy the joys of life and to fully live it. You saw that Vivianne had captured you all including the dogs with her camera.
Happily, Beth remarked as she looked around:“ We also found the perfect place.”
“We did.”, you said.
The green leaves of the tree rustled gently above you, and the blanket the four of you were sharing was surrounded by colourful wildflowers.
Thoughtfully, you glanced at the beauty you had found here, realising quietly: “Forget for a moment that this is the whole point.”
“But it is.”, your girlfriend answered before kissing you, her lips still tasting of the strawberries.
Strawberry kisses in London on a late morning that already felt like a summer’s day.

A little piece of home | Steph Catley x Reader
5k celebration prompt: “You sleep with the stuffed animal I got you?”
Woso masterlist | Words: 1k
-----
While Steph was at camp with the Matildas, she had asked you to take care of her dog while she was away. It was the first time she had asked you to dogsit, and somehow, the level of trust she showed in that felt like the next step in your relationship. Not only were you now dogsitting Calvin, but also her best friend’s dog Myle.
Steph and Beth lived together, so you had met Myle a bunch of times, and it helped that the two dogs seemed to be the best of friends. Beth and Viv were also with their respective national teams, and you were happy to help out.
You stayed at their place, taking Steph’s room for the time being. It felt a little weird the first night, sleeping there without her by your side, but you quickly started feeling more and more at home, surrounded by everything that was your girlfriend’s.
While you took out the dogs for their morning walk, you listened to Steph’s voice note she had sent earlier that day, during the night for you. It was great hearing her voice in the form of a quick recap of her night and morning. What made you even happier was hearing that she would be able to call you in a few hours since the team didn’t have any plans in the evening.
The rest of the walk, you had a smile on your face, looking forward to spending some time with Steph, even when it was just over a video call.
Both dogs were running around the park, and you took a couple of videos to send to the girls. They loved every little update you sent of their doggos, so you gladly provided them with the pictures and videos daily.
When you got back, there was still a bit of time before Steph would call, so you sat down on the sofa and opened up YouTube to watch something.
The first video that pops up on your screen is the arrival video of the Matildas. Steph had told you about her start to camp, but you loved being able to see a bit of the behind the scenes. You knew some of the girls, the ones playing at Arsenal and some others that were based in London, but the rest was still pretty new for you.
You get comfortable on the sofa and start the video. It started off with all of the girls arriving, some alone and some in small groups. Your smile grew when you saw Steph step out of a van, followed by Caitlin and Kyra. You could see she was tired from the long flight, but could also read the excitement on her face.
The video went on to everyone saying their hello’s in the common area as soon as new people arrived. And then Steph popped up on your screen again. “Hi Steph, may we have a quick room tour for the video?” you heard the crew say as she opened her room door. With a smile, she opened the door, “Sure, come on in.”
As soon as they stepped in, you saw something familiar. The teddy bear you had won her on your second date when you went to the fair was lying on her bed next to her neatly folded pajamas. Steph gave a quick tour of the room, but your eyes kept landing on the stuffed animal on the corner of the bed, your heart filling with warmth knowing that she took the bear with her to camp.
A couple videos later, Steph facetimed you. “Hi baby.” She said as you picked up the phone, “What are you smiling about?” She said, full of amusement. You hadn’t even realised, but the smile after seeing the Matildas video hadn’t left your face. “You sleep with the stuffed animal I got you?” You asked with a hint of curiosity. Steph’s cheeks turn a dark shade of red, “Who told you that?”
“I saw him in the new Matildas video when you were doing your room tour, no one told me about him. Why would someone tell me?” Your girlfriend hides her face from the frame a little. “Well, some of them have been making fun of me for bringing a stuffed animal with me to camp.”
“I would never make fun of you for that, I actually think it’s really cute that you did. I had no clue you loved that little bear I got you so much.” You said with a smile to reassure her. “I love him very much. It’s like I have a piece of you with me. A little piece of home.”
Now it was your turn to blush. Luckily, before Steph could comment on it, the dogs jumped up on the couch after hearing Steph’s voice. “Oh, someone wants to say hi.” You chuckled as Calvin tried to climb onto your lap very excitedly. “Calvy, I love you, but you’re a little big to be jumping on top of me.” You say as he nearly knocks the phone out of your hand.
Eventually he finds his place after Steph’s calming voice helped him settle. “Hi buddy, I miss you so much.” She said over the phone. “I hope you’re being very nice to my girlfriend. I’d like her to stick around when I get back, so you better be behaving well.”
Myle, who had also joined you on the couch, quickly fell asleep with her head on your lap, while Calvin was fully laying on top of you. You didn’t mind the cuddles, while you talked to Steph for as long as you could.
A little bit after you hung up the phone, you got a notification that you had been tagged in a post. It was a post from Steph with some pictures from camp, including a picture of the bear laying in her bed with the tag to your account. You quickly liked the picture and commented a bear and a heart emoji under the post with the biggest smile on your face.

always sunny in australia
pairings: tillies x teen!reader
summary: your first debut for the tillies
warnings: mentions of anxiety
notes: this is such a switch from estrella i love it. also apologies because it’s a bit short but i am getting to writing a character like this so give me grace 🙏🏾
you guys can also request stories for this too!
You anxiously chew on your lip as you sit in your cubby, watching your teammates move around the locker room, pulling on their socks, tying their cleats, shaking out their limbs. The energy in the room is electric— excitement, determination, focus. But all you can feel is the nervous pit growing in your stomach.
Your fingers tremble as you retie your laces for what feels like the tenth time, your knee bouncing up and down in a restless rhythm. The fluorescent lights hum above you, their sterile glow making everything feel too bright, too sharp. The sound of studs scraping against the floor, the murmur of pre-game rituals, the distant echo of the stadium crowd, it all blurs together in a disorienting buzz.
You don’t realize you’re holding your breath until a voice snaps you out of it.
“You nervous?”
You jolt slightly, looking up to see your captain standing over you, arms crossed, an amused yet knowing smile tugging at the corners of her lips.
“No,” you blurt out, shaking your head a little too fast. Your voice comes out higher than usual, unconvincing even to your own ears. Sam raises an eyebrow, unimpressed.
Ellie, tying her cleats a few cubbies over, snorts. “Please, we all saw you nearly pass out in the warm-up, kid.”
You groan, burying your face in your hands. “That was one time.”
Steph walks by, ruffling your hair. “Sure, kid. One time. And yesterday. And the day before that.”
Caitlin grins as she leans against the locker. “It’s kinda cute, honestly.”
“Yeah, in a baby bird who might pass out kind of way,” Ellie adds.
You let out a dramatic sigh, slumping forward. “This is bullying.”
Mini laughs, patting your back. “Nah, this is love.”
Sam, still beside you, finally takes mercy. She plops down and throws an arm around your shoulders, pulling you into her side. It’s grounding, the solid warmth of her presence, the steady rise and fall of her breathing.
“Listen, Kiddie,” she says, her voice softer now, reassuring. “I was your age when I debuted, and I nearly shit my pants. No joke.”
That earns a small laugh from you, but Sam continues, her tone serious despite the grin playing on her lips.
“But here’s the thing, you wouldn’t be here if you weren’t ready. If you didn’t have pure talent and skill, they wouldn’t have called you up. You belong here, and you’ve got all of us behind you. You have nothing to worry about.”
You take a shaky breath, nodding, letting her words sink in. Maybe she’s right. No. She is right.
“Thanks, Sammy,” you murmur, and she smiles before pressing a quick kiss to your forehead.
“Anytime, Kiddie.”
Before you can respond, the coach’s voice booms through the locker room.
“Game time!”
The room erupts into motion. Your heart pounds, but this time, there’s something else mixed in with the nerves, excitement. You take one last deep breath, stand up, and follow your team out onto the field.
The stadium lights bear down on you, illuminating the field in a way that makes everything feel surreal. The roar of the crowd is deafening, a mix of Australian and American fans creating a constant buzz that fills your chest with nerves.
You blink. For a second, the lights seem too bright, the world almost dreamlike.
You shake your head quickly, grounding yourself back in the moment. Focus.
Sam is hyping everyone up, her voice loud and confident. Caitlin gives you a nod, her usual calm demeanor somehow reassuring.
“Ready, kid?” Alanna nudges you with her elbow.
You take a deep breath and nod. You don’t know if it’s entirely true, but you want it to be.
“Good,” she grins. “Let’s give ’em hell.”
Ellie cracks her knuckles beside you. “Try not to faint, alright?”
Before you can reply, Mini elbows her. “Leave the kid alone, she’s already stressing.”
“I’m not stressing,” you protest weakly.
Mini raises an eyebrow. “Right, and I’m a six-foot striker.”
Steph smirks. “Hey, that’d be terrifying.”
Ellie grins. “I’d score a hat trick every game.”
“Against an open goal, maybe,” Caitlin mutters.
Before Ellie can argue, the ref’s whistle cuts through the noise.
The U.S. comes out aggressive, pressing hard and fast, making it difficult for your team to settle. You track back defensively, trying to hold your own against their left-back, who isn’t giving you an inch of space. The pace is relentless, and your lungs burn, but you push through it.
Then, in the 23rd minute, the U.S. strikes first. A sharp cross, a towering header, and just like that, you’re down 1-0.
Macca picks the ball out of the net, shaking her head but clapping her hands. “We go again!”
Sam shouts, “Heads up, we’re still in this!”
And she’s right. Because ten minutes later, you get your first real moment.
Mini finds you out wide with a pinpoint pass. You take a quick touch, feel the defender closing in, and then you burst forward. A sharp cut inside, a feint, and you slip past her. The space opens up just enough. You whip in a cross, and there’s Mary, perfectly positioned. One touch, back of the net.
1-1.
The celebration is instant. Mary grins at you, offering a fist bump as the team huddles together. Steph ruffles your hair, and Ellie slaps your back.
“That’s more like it! Goal in your first debut!” Alanna shouts.
“See, baby bird can fly,” Caitlin teases.
For the first time all game, you let yourself breathe. You’re doing it. You’re here.
The U.S. regains the lead early in the second half with a rocket from distance. Macca dives, fingertips grazing the ball, but it’s not enough.
2-1.
You jog back to your position, frustration bubbling under your skin. You glance up into the stands, and for a split second, your breath catches.
A little girl with an Australian flag painted on her face. She has an old Tillies jersey, but it’s her sign that caught your attention. It had your name on it obviously in her hand writing.
“Stay in it,” Sam mouths, bringing you back.
And you do. Minute 78. Your moment comes.
Mini wins the ball in midfield and immediately looks for you. The second you see her foot swing, you’re already moving. The ball zips toward you, perfect weight, perfect angle. You take one touch, just enough to set yourself up, and then, you strike.
It’s clean. Pure. The ball curls, spinning past the keeper’s outstretched hands. The net ripples.
For a second, everything is silent in your head. And then, chaos.
Ellie practically jumps on your back. Caitlin grabs your shoulders, shaking you with excitement. Alanna and Steph clap you on the back, and Mini, beaming, yells, “THAT’S MY GIRL!”
But it’s Sam’s voice that cuts through the noise.
“THAT’S MY KID!”
The match ends shortly after. 2-2. A draw against the U.S., and considering the way your team is celebrating, it feels like a win.
As the final whistle blows, you exchange handshakes, feeling the adrenaline finally start to fade. Your legs are heavy, exhaustion creeping in. You quietly peel away from the group, heading toward the tunnel, wanting to slip away unnoticed. But before you can disappear, an arm wraps around your shoulders.
“Where are you going, Kiddie?”
Sam’s voice is light, teasing, as she gently redirects you.
“The locker room?” you answer hesitantly, furrowing your brows.
She chuckles. “Nope. I have someone you need to meet.”
She steers you toward the center of the field, where a blonde U.S. player is waiting with an easy smirk.
“Sunny, this is Kristie,” Sam says, grinning. “My better half.”
Ellie leans in from behind you. “The actual boss of Sam Kerr.”
Kristie extends a hand, her smirk softening into a warm smile. “Nice goal, kid. You gave us trouble out there.”
You shake her hand, still feeling a little starstruck. “Uh, thanks.”
Sam squeezes your shoulder. “She’s shy, but don’t worry, she’ll warm up.”
Kristie laughs. “Sounds like someone else I know.”
Ellie gasps dramatically. “You mean Sam wasn’t born screaming orders at people?”
Caitlin grins. “Shocking, I know.”
You glance between the two of them as they exchange knowing looks. The nerves that had been weighing you down all night start to fade, replaced by something warmer, acceptance.

y/n's head span as she gasped, hand reaching down to clasp with Lauren's as the woman grunted into her, tongue darting in and out of y/n, nose brushing her clit as she spasmed.
"Ah, Lauren. Close." y/n gasped, hand gripping Lauren's tighter as her breathing sped up, back arching as Lauren's tongue did nothing to slow down.
Lauren moved her head, pushing her nose harsher against y/n's clit which caused a moan to escape her lips as she tensed, her stomach spasming.
"Come on." Lauren said gruffly, her tongue going back to work as y/n finally came, a cry of relief leaving from her lips as she does so.
Lauren's tongue does not completely leave y/n, instead using lazy strokes to calm the girl down from her orgasm, only once Lauren felt as if she had tasted her girlfriend enough did she come up for air.
Lauren pushed upwards, arms flexing as she came to lie next to y/n once again, leaning down to press a long kiss to her lips, her tongue sweeping through y/n's mouth.
"Taste yourself." Lauren all but grunted into her mouth. "Taste what I did to you." She continued, y/n's eyes rolled into the back of her head at the words.
The two pulled away, a lazy grin on Lauren's face at the red cheeks of y/n as she pecks her lips once more, smirking at how flustered the Australian was.
"Hmm, that's a way to wake up in the morning." y/n smiles, leaning into Lauren's shoulder who smiles and wraps an arm around her girlfriend.
"Wake you up like that anytime." Lauren shrugs and y/n grins liking the sound of it.
Just as Lauren goes to say something there is the sound of the front door opening and the two tense, both knowing that other than Lauren only one other person had a key.
"Squirt?" Sam calls out and the two spring into action.
"One sec Sammy!" y/n calls, Lauren rushing and grabbing her clothes, throwing y/n her own.
"Oh fuck." Lauren whispers.
"Oh fuck." y/n agrees quietly.
Sam Kerr, Australia's sweetheart, best striker in potentially the WSL and a ground-breaking personality in the world of Women's Football and sport as a whole.
Sam Kerr. Also known as Lauren and y/n's team-mate, mentor and y/n's older sister.
Lauren sent y/n a wide eyed look, both of them as worried and panicked at the other as Lauren slid into y/n's ensuite, y/n tugging on her joggers as she darted out of her room and shuts the door.
"Sammy!" y/n grins racing at her sister who hugs her. "What are you doing here?" y/n asks and Sam shrugs.
"Thought we could go get some breakfast." Sam says and y/n nods, knowing they had late training today.
"Of course, let me just shower." y/n smiles and Sam pauses, knowing her sister was a natural early riser.
"You slept in?" Sam asks.
"Yeah, late night, stayed up binging doctor who." y/n lies easily and Sam chuckles, rolling her eyes.
"You and that fucking show." Sam snorts and y/n lets out a small fake laugh as she moves back toward her bedroom.
y/n enters and Lauren is lent against the wall, scrolling through Instagram as y/n grabs her and drags her into the bathroom. Lauren smirks slightly as she quickly strips herself of her joggers.
y/n finally rids herself of her clothes, quickly ridding Lauren of her own as she drags her into the shower and turns it on, looking toward the bathroom door which she quickly makes sure is locked.
With the shower on and making noise y/n finally feels safe enough to let out a relieved breath as she knows Sam will have turned her X-box on to play a few FIFA games knowing her younger sister took ages to shower.
"Careful baby, your sister is in the other room." Lauren smirks teasingly and y/n glares at her.
"You ain't getting shit James." y/n warns as she washes herself clean.
"Are you sure?" Lauren asks lowly, hand squeezing at y/n's waist as she slides it down, her dull nails scraping at her hip. y/n lets out a stuttered gasp, the Australian naturally tipping her head back onto Lauren's broad shoulder.
Lauren can't help but let out a small chuckle at the power she knew she held over y/n, leaning down to press a series of light kisses down y/n's painfully unmarked neck.
Lauren's teeth pull at the skin under y/n's collarbone, both of her hands gripping at y/n's hips now, tilting her pelvis back into her as she grids lightly against her.
"Lauren." y/n warns breathily.
"What baby?" Lauren asks, grateful she had kept her braids in as she was now stood under the stream of water which would have been a pain to dry her hair from.
"Squirt?" Sam asks, the door handle coming down but the lock doing its job and stopping her entering.
"Just coming!" y/n calls quickly as she turns off the shower and steps out.
The girl wraps her hair in a towel, glaring at Lauren who was stood smugly against the shower door, eyes raking down y/n's dripping thighs which were scattered with marks.
"Since when do you lock the bathroom door?" Sam asks from the other side.
"Must have done it on reflex." y/n calls out. Not bothering too look in the mirror as she quickly moisturises her face. "I'll text you when we're gone." y/n whispers to Lauren, before pressing a peck to the woman's lips.
y/n then quickly slides from the bathroom and into her room, turning off the light as she wraps her towel around her. She could hear the FIFA game coming from the living room and rolls her eyes as she changes quickly.
y/n tugs on a top, pulling her jacket over the top of it and then grabs her bag and phone, cursing herself at the text Sam had sent her an hour ago warning her she was going to appear.
y/n then leaves her bedroom, smiling at Sam as she pulls her socks and then trainers on. Sam finishes her game and switches the TV off as y/n snorts.
"You only come here to use my games." y/n teases as Sam grabs her car keys.
"Shut up." Sam snorts as they get to the front door. y/n looks down, eyes widening at Lauren's trainers which were on the rack and she positions herself in front of them, hoping Sam hasn't noticed.
y/n follows her sister out, locking the door knowing full well Lauren would use her key once she left for training. y/n hops into Sam's car and her heart finally slows down as they pull away from her home.
y/n switches on her phone, instantly connecting to Sam's car and blaring some music out which makes Sam groan mockingly, y/n rolls her eyes and sticks her tongue out.
"Shut up." y/n snorts.
"No you." Sam counters.
"No you." y/n says back and Sam rolls her eyes.
"Annoying dickhead." Sam says and y/n chuckles as they pull up to their usual breakfast place. y/n sends a quick text to Lauren.
to lauren <3: All clear xx
from lauren: I'll see you at training x
y/n doesn't reply, knowing if she does Sam will get suspicious on who she is talking too, so she shuts her phone and follows Sam out of the car and into the cafe.
"Isn't that LJ's top?" Sam asks as y/n takes her jacket off. If y/n's heart had stopped, she wouldn't have been shocked, because that is what it felt like.
"Oh yeah, I borrowed it a few weeks ago and she said I could keep it." y/n shrugs easily and Sam's eyebrows furrow.
"I could have sworn I saw her in it the other day." She says before shrugging and looking at the menu.
"I don't know why you bother looking. You always get the same thing." y/n teases, trying to get the topic to move on.
"Shut it squirt." Sam snorts before proceeding to order the same thing with their usual waitress.

°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。
y/n turned up at training a lot calmer than she had been that morning. Throughout her breakfast with Sam panic was flooding her and guilt was creeping into her heart.
What she and Lauren had started was good, great even for them both, Lauren was calmer, y/n was happier, and no one knew that it was the other making them so.
But y/n and her sister had always been close, y/n had always wanted to be like Sam and while the midfielder had slightly taken a different football route, she had ended in the same place, repping Chelsea blue.
Lauren and y/n were still relatively new, only 4 almost 5 months in to being official having started seeing each other just before the beginning of the World Cup.
No one on social media suspected anything, none of their teammates seemed to notice, so they had just kept quiet when they returned and continued falling in love.
And y/n was sure that was what was happening. The 21-year-old was sure she was falling in love, if not in love with Lauren. She had never felt so seen, so understood by someone.
With Lauren she wasn't Sam Kerr's sister, she wasn't the future of Australia. She was just y/n, and it made her feel so special being looked at by Lauren.
The woman could tell if she was angry, upset, happy or nervous with a single glance, and she could calm it with nothing but a look, a glancing touch.
y/n had never been powerless, she was filled with attitude and delight, but she had never fell apart for someone as easily as she had for Lauren, she had never let anyone see her or understand her the way Lauren always had.
Training had started well, the sister duo pairing up for the pre-match games and then the group of players sunk into their usual before lunch match.
y/n was running down the wing, looking toward Erin who was trailing with her, Lauren tracked back, following her girlfriend as she tried to tackle, y/n turned, dragging the ball with her.
But Lauren knew her, knew her tricks and instead of sliding past bounced off her toes and followed left which made y/n sigh. She passed out to Erin, Lauren sending her a smirk.
y/n followed Erin down, trying to get past Lauren who manages to intercept Erin's cross out for a corner. The two teams lined up as Emma called out a warning saying this would be the last kick of the game.
y/n stood strong, her sister grinning at her due to the fact her team was currently 1 goal above Erin's and went to mark her sister, however Lauren had already covered her, easily slotting behind her girlfriend.
Sam furrows her brows for a second but then shrugs and goes to mark Johanna instead. Lauren's hand brushes y/n's back and the woman pushes her elbow back, rolling her shoulders as she watches the ball fly in.
y/n races forward, Lauren right behind her as she jumps and her head fires the ball into the corner. y/n slowly comes down, the bodies around her pushing her off balance.
Lauren quickly wraps her arms around her y/n, stabling her as she comes down by pulling y/n tight to her chest as y/n's feet finally settle on the floor.
y/n sighs out in relief, relaxing back into Lauren's chest in relief as she rests her head onto Lauren's shoulder, the two looking so natural that Millie does a double take.
"Nice catch LJ!" Emma calls out as lunch is called.
"She was a fairy." Millie teases, y/n laugh as she grins at Lauren in thanks who squeezes her waist briefly before y/n runs at Millie, jumping onto her back.
"y/n!" Emma calls waving the girl over.
"Oooh someone's in trouble." Millie teases as she drops y/n next to Emma.
"Shove off Bright." y/n laughs pushing her captain away who gasps mockingly.
"I'll have you benched for that!" Millie gasps dramatically.
"No you bloody won't." Emma warns her, before everyone trudges away and y/n follows Emma to her office where the woman sits her down. "I'll let you go to lunch in a second." Emma promises.
"It's okay." y/n promises her manager who sits on the edge of her desk.
"I just wanted to ask." Emma begins, handing y/n a water bottle she had picked up. "Does Sam know?" She asks as y/n takes a sip, instantly choking on the water in shock.
"Holy shit." y/n gasps out, swallowing her mouthful of water. "Know what?" y/n asks as Emma sends her a dry look.
"That there is something clearly going on between you and Lauren." Emma says and y/n sighs.
"Is it that obvious?" y/n asks.
"I'll take that as a no." Emma sighs. "But it isn't obvious, I just know you both too well." Emma explains and y/n sighs.
"I swear boss, I'll tell her, it won't be a big deal." y/n promises Emma who sighs and runs a hand over her face.
"If that was true, you would have done so already." Emma warns her.
y/n shoulders sink. If she was honest, she had no clue how Sam would react, she could be happy, she could be mad, she could be shocked, hurt the list was endless.
"Why haven't you told anyone?" Emma can't help but ask and y/n sighs, knowing full well someone did know.
"Technically, Lucy Bronze knows." y/n says and Emma hums, knowing y/n and Lucy were close as y/n had played at Lyon for a season and a half before making her jump to Chelsea last year.
y/n had stayed with Lucy during that time, having been taken under the defender's wing who really helped her in the time away from her older sister.
"World cup?" Emma guesses and y/n nods.
"We had kind of began just before and continued during the world cup. Lucy walked into Lauren's room one night when we actually near the same place." y/n explains.
"And the reason?" She asks.
"I see how the media just tears everyone apart. Relationships, confidence, I mean I missed that shot a few weeks back and I just got annihilated for it." y/n continues.
"But you cannot let that get to you." Emma tries and y/n sighs.
"I know, but it does Emma." y/n says angrily. "And I just know, the second anything comes out about Lauren and I..." y/n sighs trailing off.
"You have to tell the team." Emma states and y/n throws her arms up in annoyance.
"Why?" She asks.
"Because I will not risk the chemistry I have created. You can't do it, I'll bench you." Emma warns.
"Emma!" y/n calls but the woman folds her arms. "I'm scared." y/n then sighs, folding her head in your hands.
"The girl who played for Australia at 16, scored the winning goal for the champions league at 17, is scared?" Emma asks and y/n nods.
"Terrified. All the time." y/n sighs and Emma's face drops her cold mask.
"Oh kid." Emma sighs and y/n looks up at her, heart in her throat. "Do you need to talk to someone?" She asks and y/n sighs.
"I don't know." y/n admits and Emma then sighs again.
"You've got until Friday to talk to Sam. We'll forget about the rest for now, eh?" She asks y/n who nods, trying to swallow the butterflies climbing her throat.
"Okay." y/n nods. Emma claps her on the shoulder and nods to the door and y/n nods. "Cheers boss." y/n says, and they both know it was meant deeper than just one way.
"Go get some lunch." Emma orders and y/n nods, walking into the lunch room where Sam already had a plate for her, just deepening the bite of guilt.

y/n sat with Lauren, the two comfortably pressed together on y/n's sofa as they watched Match of the Day, both fed and showered after their day of training before the Brighton game tomorrow.
y/n had been quiet, Lauren had noticed it, her eyes were glazed over, as if she wasn't really in the moment and so Lauren pressed a kiss to her head.
"What's wrong?" Lauren asked softly.
"Emma knows." y/n says simply, her voice void of emotion as she expected Lauren to yell, to freak out.
"Okay." Lauren says calmly and y/n pauses, her stomach knotting in shock.
"What?" She asks.
"Okay." Lauren repeats calmly. "What do you want to do?" She then asks.
"We need to tell Sam." y/n says, again expecting Lauren to end it, but her grip just tightens.
"It is probably about time." Lauren agrees calmly and y/n sits up and turns to look at her.
"You're not mad? You're not going to yell? Leave?" y/n asks, her voice quiet and shocked. Lauren smiles softly, pecking y/n's nose as she sits up also, bringing the girl onto her lap.
"No baby. I'm not going to leave." Lauren promises and y/n moves her legs so she was straddling Lauren's lap.
"Why?" She asks softly and Lauren sighs.
"We've been together since May in my brain, and even if not, we made it official in September. It's now January, I think that's enough time." Lauren states and y/n smiles softly.
"Okay." y/n says with a breath of happiness.
Lauren chuckles and her hands cup y/n's jaw, bringing her in for a deep kiss which makes y/n's head spin as their lips collide, tongues infecting each other's mouths.
"I think you should speak to someone." Lauren says as they pull away. "About your anxiety, your overthinking." Lauren continues and y/n sighs.
"I know." She says softly and Lauren nods before diving back in for another kiss, ever since their first one she had found the little Australian completely addictive.
Lauren's hands chased y/n's body, running down her back, up her thighs, squeezing her waist before eventually stopping at her arse, squeezing at the skin and pushing her closer.
y/n gasped as Lauren's lips traced a pattern down her neck, the woman quickly throwing y/n's top over her heard and somewhere onto the sofa.
Lauren took y/n's nipple into her mouth, sucking harshly as y/n's back arched and Lauren's name fell from her lips in a breathy plead to continue the pleasure.
Lauren continued her actions, switching to the other breast, leaving the first nipple, red hard and painfully sucked as y/n slowly started to grind against Lauren.
The woman moved y/n to straddle her thigh so the pressure was more pleasing for the Australian and bit at y/n's nipple when she moaned at the move.
"Turn around and take these off." Lauren ordered quickly, snapping the waistband of y/n's joggers.
The woman nodded and jumped up, stripping quickly, leaving her underwear on as she lowers back onto Lauren's thigh backwards.
Lauren's hands landed on her hips, pushing y/n into a grind, at the feel y/n moaned and fell forward, hands landing on Lauren's knee to stabilise herself and she continued to ride Lauren's thigh.
Lauren stretched back, hands coming to rest behind her head as she stared at y/n's ass, thong pulling over her thigh as the wetness of y/n's arousal spilled through it.
"That's it, chase it baby." Lauren ordered lowly, hand coming to squeeze at y/n's cheek as her moans became breathier, desperately trying to push herself over that edge.
"Lauren, please." y/n begged, her whine making Lauren chuckle.
The woman pulled y/n back to her chest, one hand coming to squeeze her throat and keep her against her chest as the other held her waist stopping her grinding.
"Can't even cum without me anymore, huh?" Lauren asks, y/n whining in response. "What do you want baby? Huh?" Lauren asks.
y/n can't answer, too wound up and Lauren's hand slides from her waist and dips underneath the band of her underwear, fingers sliding through her slick folds.
"Need me here?" Lauren asks smugly when y/n jolts.
Suddenly Lauren's fingers rub at y/n's clit quickly, pushing the woman over an unexpected orgasm which Lauren continues rubbing her through it.
Only when y/n is writhing in her hold, begging for a moment does Lauren give y/n a break, her fingers sliding up her toned stomach and pushing her slick past her lips and into y/n's mouth.
Lauren abruptly stands up, y/n letting out a shocked shout as Lauren carried her to the bedroom and throws her against the bed, the girl bouncing.
"Weeee." y/n says and Lauren chuckles as she strips and slides the strap on, making sure it was harnessed properly before kneeling on the bed.
y/n leans up, pressing a kiss to Lauren's cheek before she spins them, pushing Lauren to sit against the headboard.
"Wanna ride you." y/n mutters, Lauren nodding her head dumbly as she watched y/n slowly lower herself onto the cock.
Lauren groaned out in relief, y/n's hands resting against the harness to make the pull on Lauren's clit feel better as she slowly pushed herself up and back down.
Lauren hands grabbed at her waist, pulling her closer and connected their mouths in a heated and deep kiss, moans tangling as y/n continued to push herself up and down on the cock.
As the knot built in y/n's stomach once more, she rocked while feeling full of Lauren's cock, the rocking pushing Lauren to the edge and her hand came to slap at y/n's ass.
The two gasped, cumming together as their mouths continued blending their noises together while they slowly came down, eventually parting as the room filled with slow pants and deep breaths.
y/n slowly sat off the cock, gasping slightly at the feel of her walls clenching around nothing as she laid back next to Lauren who un-clipped the harness from herself.
y/n couldn't help but smile into Lauren's bare shoulder as the two stayed tangled together in a mess of sweaty sheets. Lauren's lips were against her forehead as they caught their breath.
"I think I'm in love with you." y/n says softly and Lauren chuckles.
"I think I'm in love with you too." Lauren promises her and y/n hums.
"Oh." She says, not really expecting to hear it back. "That's good." y/n says softly. "That is really good." y/n repeats and Lauren chuckles.
"Yeah baby. It is." Lauren promises and they both smile into each other's skin.
