location — kat's place, back porch.
character — @katerinadelarosa
Over the course of a week, he'd cut back on interacting with people, had picked up the bottle more than he ever had, and was going through an entire pack of smokes in a day. Was he proud of nursing his bad habits? Not in the slightest, but it was a temporary fix to mending what had been broken within. "Didn't know if I'd be here tonight or I would have ordered takeout," he admitted, not having to look back to know that Kat had stepped out onto the back porch. He took a long drag from his cigarette before he pushed the smoke through his nose and sighed. "I've been crashing at a friend's place." Given that he could call Chey that. At one point in time, they were going to be something akin to it. Parents, friends. What the hell did it even matter? "Shit's been... I don't know. It's been a little bit fucked up."

location — hiking trail, bighorn hills.
character — @katerinadelarosa
"So, you're here, which means you haven't stumbled across your next big crazy adventure yet. You must be crawling out of your skin with staying put for so long and not having anything risky to do," she teased with a gently placed nudge to the other's arm. She'd never met anyone as adventurous as Kat. "Unless you've found another way to bide your time? Tell me, how's life? And before you ask me the same question... I'll spare you the excitement. The craziest thing that keeps happening to me is my jerk of a neighbor keeps letting his cattle onto my property. Other than that... radio silence and that's not me complaining."

Robert’s birthday was coming up. As Aspen so kindly reminded her on their daily FaceTime that morning, Mallory felt a heart-breaking pang in her chest watching her teenage daughter lounge about in her childhood bedroom. Though it quickly turned to annoyance when the snarky fifteen-year-old also reminded Mallory she promised a long weekend trip to Westport soon. So she made a promise to make it there, thus deciding to force herself to shop for her estranged husband. It was something she usually sent her assistant out to do, but she was currently in Florida with her own two kids, falling victim to the Mouse and its greedy capitalist needs, so Mallory took it upon herself. Deciding cufflinks would be fine - impersonal, expensive, useful - she headed over to the jewelry store not far from her own house, finding herself surprised to be smiling when she noticed a recognisable face. “Katerina, hello.” She greeted, sincerely, “It’s nice to see you outside of the club bathroom where no loud music is playing.”

location: hiking path
status: closed for @katerinadelarosa
Albie was glad to finally walk a trail during a time it was better lit, the sun high in the sky, beating down on him as he worked his body through the hills and rough terrain. He stopped for a breath, letting his muscles that were slowly beginning to ache have a moment’s rest. The chef looked out towards the view, taking in the quiet of the mountains, in comparison to the town, to everything else. “Shit, sorry,” He murmured when he sensed another person behind him on the trail. It wasn’t rare, for the paths to be occupied, but it had been a while since he encountered someone around this time of day. “Most people usually get here for the sunrise, unfortunately I had to miss it this morning, but it still makes a great view, right?”

— characters: silas & kat — setting: bonfire bash in bighorn hills — partner: @katerinadelarosa
After a dip in the lake and the sun beginning to fall down the horizon, Silas sat by the fire to dry up a bit before he finished getting redressed. It'd been a nice afternoon thus far and evening looked promising, but the fire, like always, seemed to captivate him a little bit.
"It's kinda mesmerizing, ain't it?"
It transported him to a time he much liked to forget and tried his damndest to leave far in the past, and usually he was far deeper into his alcohol than he was at the moment.
A few moments later Silas seemed to snap out of his trance and glanced at the familiar woman. Where had he seen her before? Or who with?
"You been in the water yet? It's pretty refreshing."

location: the glass onion
character: @katerinadelarosa & blue.
"Well, well, I knew that bum looked familiar," Blue quipped, sneaking up behind the brunette with a wide grin. Lunching alone hadn't been particularly enjoyable, and her reservation allowed for a bit of flexibility regarding the table. Having been back in Providence for a few weeks now, Blue had become accustomed to running into familiar faces, but few of them could truly bring a smile to her lips."Please, tell me you're dining solo and that you're absolutely going to join me. Whoever you're meeting can't possibly be as important as me right now."

character: @katerinadelarosa & ingrid.
"That was so good." Ingrid muttered, settling back into her chair as she looked down at her empty plate. It had been forever since the young brunette had gone out, let alone enjoyed a meal without getting a headache. She just wanted to have a peaceful day with her friend and was glad to be getting just that -- no drama, no people worrying over how she's doing, or her sister pestering about whether she needed to carry pepper spray or not. "I'm so full, I think you could easily roll me down the hill to reach home." she joked, smiling over at Kate. "Thanks for today, you have no idea how much I needed to have a nagging-free day."

"Shit, if you're that good, I might need some help with something," he teased. They were strangers, but he made friends quickly and if she didn't mind, well, he'd use all the hands he could get to ensure his bike was on the road sooner than later. "Is that what you'd want to build before anyone else? There aren't any other inventions that doesn't exist yet that you'd like to complete first?" He created art and that was about the extent of where his mind would take him. Fixing things was a different concept, but creating them from the ground up? That wasn't for him. Max swallowed down the nerves and did it just as she'd shown up. Up, left, right, he turned it every which way but took things slowly. "Not too bad, but how do I bring it down?" He left the drone hovering in the air, afraid that if he attempted to bring it down, he'd crash it far worse than she had.
"The best at that," she confirmed with a confident nod. It was, after all, her favorite thing in the world to do. Inventing was fun, but finding ways to fix things that most people otherwise would have given up on was just as fun. "I think eventually, yeah. I mean, if it's even possible, but I think it could be." Leila wasn't unaware of the fact that it could be considered an outlandish concept to try and figure out time travel or anything similar, but that didn't stop her from finding it utterly fascinating. Handing over the phone for Max to try, Leila gave an encouraging nod. "It's kind of fun even if it's hard."

Felipe sighed softly as he stared at the vast selection of paint samples, contemplating which color of blue he wanted for his kitchen. He glanced over at Kat with an apologetic look on his face. "Sorry this is taking so long. I'm usually not so indecisive." Felipe turned his gaze back to the samples, plucking out two different options. "However, the perfectionist in me wants to make sure I pick just the right color." The fashion designer released a small chuckle, holding the samples up for Kat to examine. "Which one do you like?"

Characters: Carla Villanueva & Katerina de la Rosa ( @katerinadelarosa ) Location: Carla's place, Bighorn Hills Closed starter
Carla hadn't been spending much time at her place ever since what happened with Freddie. She'd only pop by every now and then, make sure things are still working and no one had broken in yet. Carla had brought Ollie over with her and let him run back and forth between the cabin and the backyard for a bit as she tidied up the place while waiting for Kat to pop by. As soon as she heard Ollie's bark she knew her friend had arrived and immediately rushed over to the front door. "Hey girl! Someone may be more excited to see you than I am."

Every step further up the mountain left his thin jacket feeling more like a fashion statement than a layer of warmth. He kicked a few rocks along the way, hoping that the extra energy would awake something within him, but the heat only came after the top of the viewing point came into view. "Can't believe I let you talk me into a goddamn hike," he playfull huffed, the air feeling far thinner and more rigid than what they'd faced up the trail. "I hate small talk, but how's everything been? I know I'm not around much anymore, but if you ever need anything, you can always call."

“That’s so cool!” She couldn’t help but gush, barely realising the past tense of her parents’ respective careers. Phoebe hoped it was due to them retiring, and not something malevolent, and though the woman beside her said she was an open book, she remembered they were practical strangers and the question was inappropriate, it dying on her tongue. "Um, to focus on those who only wish to support you and lift you up." She said with ease, remembering that reading clearly. Of course, she had ignored it. A yawn broke free so suddenly, Phoebe blinked in surprise, not even feeling that tired, but suddenly recognising the familiar ache of exhaustion in her bones. "Maybe that's my cue to order an Uber," She teased. "Thank you, though, for turning my night around."
"My parents. My mom was an archaeologist and my dad was a big TV personality from when he was young. They started working together and it turned into travel shows and lost treasures and all of that. It's the world I grew up in," Kat answered with a slightly wistful smile as she talked about her dad. All of this had been Kat's entire life, something she'd always known she would eventually be a part of in some capacity. Now, in her father's shadow, she was taking on right where he'd left off. Sipping at her drink as Phoebe talked about her experience with a fortune teller, Kat gave an understanding nod. "That makes sense. Kind of like the whole astrology thing. Probably it's total bullshit, but you can still get a lot out of it just from how you read into things and all that. What's the best advice you've ever taken from a fortune teller?"

location — ski resort & lodge.
character — @katerinadelarosa
Parker had lost count of how many times she'd come down the mountain. It felt being a kid again every venture back up the chairlift she made more exciting than the last. She'd pushed until her legs begged for reprieve and only then did she find herself occupying a table with a warm cup of coffee placed before her. "You can join me," she offered, spotting a familiar face scanning for an empty space in the very busy lodge. Apparently everyone had shown up to enjoy the view. "And if you're down for it, you can join me down the mountain too."

location: le cirque nightclub

Adjusting the neckline of her little black dress, Mallory frowned in the mirror of the club, half glad the lighting was extremely dim, though wished she had better sight to sort herself out. She couldn’t remember the last time she had worn this particular outfit, though of course she could, but who she wore the dress around wasn’t worth thinking about right now. She tussled her blonde waves a couple more times, hoping she seemed perfect for this environment. Fun, carefree, sexy. It wasn’t her idea to sweet-talk a potential new investor in a night club. But he had the reputation of being a party boy, someone who was more her brother’s speed than her own, and so Mallory decided to take one for the team and head out. “Stupid,” She muttered, mainly to herself, but the surprisingly good acoustics in the small washroom meant it was loud enough for the other woman to hear, and she shrugged, turning to face her fully. “I’m a middle-aged woman flouncing over myself in a club to impress some fuckboy. I’m back where I was twenty years ago except now I need reading glasses to read the menu of flavored shots. At least this is for work this time round.”

character: Katerina De La Rosa @katerinadelarosa
location: Hamlet performance
Spreading out the picnic blanket she'd brought for herself and Kat, starting put down the lawn chair and other things that she'd gotten for them to have a cute little set up. "You know, I am pretty sure that I haven't actually seen this play ever performed. And I know for a fact that you are only coming with me because I suggested a picnic with alcohol probably." Rachel teased, knowing that literature and theatre was not exactly Kat's thing, but she was appreciative of her friend coming anyway.

— SETTING: end of summer bonfire bash ; — AVAILABILITY: closed starter for KATERINA DE LA ROSA | ( @katerinadelarosa )
Aysel walked aimlessly around the lakeside. Some faces were new to her, others, complete strangers who she hadn't bothered getting to know throughout these last five years that she had been back in town. When Kat stumbled upon her life, Aysel wasn't entirely sure if she wanted the let the other in, always wary of people who had known her due to her troubled childhood and the past links with the gang members, but as the shorter woman kept coming back, she eventually ended up winning Aysel's heart.
"So..." She began, upon seeing Kat trying to set up a tent. "Should I offer, or will you ask me for help?"
