"That was so good." Ingrid muttered, settling back into her chair as she looked down at her empty plate. It had been forever since the young brunette had gone out, let alone enjoyed a meal without getting a headache. She just wanted to have a peaceful day with her friend and was glad to be getting just that -- no drama, no people worrying over how she's doing, or her sister pestering about whether she needed to carry pepper spray or not. "I'm so full, I think you could easily roll me down the hill to reach home." she joked, smiling over at Kate. "Thanks for today, you have no idea how much I needed to have a nagging-free day."

"Got it. I can't leave you unsupervised. Consider me your watchful guardian from now on, missy," Ingrid joked in response, her smile reflecting the warmth of their friendship. They may have shared some adventurous inclinations, but she knew when to draw the line. After all, ending up with bruises on her face wasn't her idea of fun. "Well, I do need a new phone. I've heard mail pigeons are quite expensive these days," she teased, adding a playful touch to the conversation. "I don't really care about the brand as long as it can take decent pictures and doesn't lag every five seconds. That's why the deal for the iPhone 12 at 150 bucks caught my eye. Seems like a damn good offer."

Trouble was something Kat could almost always get behind and the mention of it brought a glint of danger to Kat's eye. "Well, you know better than to leave me out of any trouble. Wouldn't want me to have to run off and find my own trouble, that's just asking for problems," she teased as she settled in comfortably to the seat next to Ingrid. Sighing dramatically as Ingrid explained, Kat let her head drop to one shoulder, looking over at her friend with a bemused grin. "That feels like a terrible fucking idea, but I'd absolutely go with you if you're convinced you need it. Or, better option, we find you a phone that's not from a serial killer's collection. What kind of phone are you looking for?"

Nick hasn't been to the movies in what felt like ages. Years maybe, that would always be him and his ex wife's date night but he hasn't gone to the cinema in quite some time. There was nothing good out in the cinemas anymore. It was always uploaded onto HBO MAX, and other sites. He missed it, but standing in line with the pop corn and soda to get in to see Ticket To Paradise, he wasn't sure if this was going to be good considering all of Julia Roberts movies were classic. Handing Kat her soda, and her candy the older man shook his head "I never understood the hype of George Clooney, I think he's a grate actor but other than that nope. I do see the hype of Julia Roberts though. Will always be a celebrity crush of mine." He joked but was being serious and then looked at Kat "You sure you don't want to see Black Panther?"

“Um, hi -- hello, why didn’t you tell me your security guy would be that hot?” Was the first thing that slipped past Ingrid’s lips as soon as her friend approached, with no care in the world as to whether anyone else could hear her. “If I knew this, I’d bring an extra coffee for him. Holly shit -- look at this place.” She could never get used to the size, and fanciness of the place no matter how many times the brunette visited. With a bag full of boxed treats from the bakery, Ingrid wondered if they’d be enough for everyone as she wasn’t quite sure how many people would be sticking around. “I’ll be your delivery girl if I have to, but is there any way to get me that guy’s number? Unless he’s married. I don’t do that drama.”

“Don’t look but that guy’s totally checking you out.” From the looks of it, Kat would have a free drink coming her way soon. Smiling over at her, Ingrid crossed one leg over the other while reaching for her own drink. A girl’s night out was exactly what she needed, and she wanted to spend some time with friends that were equally as busy as her. Also, who knew when the brunette would have time to meet up again? “This is nice. I'm not going to lie -- it’s a little odd, not being behind the bar and all.” she commented, making a face. “But how are you? I’ve missed you, you know.”

Ingrid burst into laughter, playfully draping her arm around the brunette's shoulders, drawing her into another embrace. "Dean's attempting to do the same, and trust me, it's cringe-worthy. Can we sneak away for a bit? My feet could use a break," she pleaded, yearning for a brief escape. "I'm torn. I know half the people here, and the others either have dates or aren't worth bothering with," Ingrid admitted, turning to her friend. "Please, you know I can't wear dresses like this just anywhere. But, I have to say, it's refreshing when people don't recognize me right away."
@katerinadelarosa
Shoulders bouncing at the compliment, Kat let her grin stretch even further across her face. Ingrid was one of her closest friends, someone that she'd had in her life for a very long time, and it was moments like this that reminded her of why. "Okay, I'm a little upset that I never got the memo that we were supposed to be putting you out there all night," she teased, taking a moment to overtly look around the reception area as if hunting for someone for Ingrid. "C'mon, there has to be someone that caught your eye tonight. It's a wedding, love is in the air, totally the perfect time to go make your move." Kat reached over to nudge at Ingrid's leg with her foot, an impish smile starting to pull at her lips. "Definitely a bad thing for the rest of us. We deserve to see you all done up like this more often."

“Hey, have you tried the new latte in the menu?” Lavender combined with coffee sounded wrong but it was exactly what picked her interest in the first place. It wasn’t an everyday occurrence for Ingrid to have her coffee out considering Ingrid needed to save money but still -- she wanted to enjoy the small things once in a while. Still going through the short list of iced coffees on the sign, the brunette turned to smile at Kate. “Have you decided? I could really use your help with this. Lavender latte sounds like a waste of money, but we only live once right?”

As Kat approached, Ingrid's smile only grew bigger, and she warmly wrapped an arm around the brunette, reciprocating the embrace. "More trouble, as always. Don't you know me at all?" Ingrid mused, unable to contain her laughter. "You know I have a knack for getting into quirky situations. Anyway, I definitely need a new phone – something that works. I stumbled upon this random ad yesterday, and it seemed like a good deal, so I thought, 'Why not give it a shot?'" she explained, shrugging her shoulders. "I'm not going to let you go all vigilante for me. Worst-case scenario, we could just use our speedy legs and run like the wind, together."

Just arriving at the club for a night out, Kat took her time heading towards the bar, stopping here and there to greet people she knew before she finally got up to the front. Her grin lifted when she spotted Ingrid, sliding in at the seat next to her as she gave her friend a half hug. "Mmmm, just the question a girl loves to hear before she's even had a drink. What are you getting yourself into?" she teased, taking a beat to put an order in for a drink before letting her head swivel back towards Ingrid. "Total ten if you go by yourself, though. Zero if you agree to take me with you. I can fuck a guy up if I need to."

Ingrid let out a gentle laugh at her friend's words, taking a quick sip of her drink. "You're adorable, you know that? And yeah, you might be a tad biased, but that's precisely why you're one of my all-time favorites," she half-joked, although the part about Kat being her favorite was absolutely true. "Don't fret, Dean's been doing a great job reminding both me and the whole world that I'm gorgeous and single," Ingrid exclaimed, her grin stretching from ear to ear. "That little shit can't make it any more embarrassing for me." She paused for a moment, reflecting, and then continued, "I haven't gone all out like this since high school graduation, and I'm not entirely sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing."
@katerinadelarosa
The chance to get all dressed up was one that Kat wouldn't have passed up on for a second. She loved being able to get all dolled up and she'd gone out of her way to make sure she looked good for the wedding. Grinning, Kat struck a cute pose for Ingrid. "Not quite the first, but obviously the most important," she hummed, shifting to bump her hip over against Ingrid softly. "You look drop dead gorgeous yourself, though, which I better not be the first person to tell you that or everyone else here is slacking." Kat was happy to be effusive with her praise, especially with how good Ingrid looked that evening. Not that she didn't always, but there was always something special about seeing everyone dressed up like this.

This wedding held a unique place in Ingrid's heart, making it the only one she was genuinely excited to attend. She had even gone to the lengths of buying a dress specifically for this special occasion, a testament to her enthusiasm, as she knew there would be no other opportunity to flaunt it. In between engaging in conversations and ensuring Dean's well-being as he navigated his enduring crush, Ingrid eventually found herself at a table surrounded by unfamiliar faces, gratefully taking a break from her uncomfortable high heels. The sight of Kat's presence lit up her face, prompting her to reach for her drink. "Deal," Ingrid replied with a soft smile before taking a quick sip. "You look absolutely stunning, although I'm sure I'm not the first to tell you that."

Weddings, or really any big party, were an environment that Katerina de la Rosa thrived in. It didn't matter if she knew people or not, she was going to have the best time regardless. After hanging around chatting with a few friends and familiar faces, Kat had wandered her way over to the bar for a drink, grabbing an extra when she spotted Ingrid across the way. Sidling up over to her friend, Kat offered the drink with a grin. "Drinks and then come dance with me?" she suggested with a shimmy of her shoulders, always ready to find any excuse to get out on the dance floor at events like this.
