This book is an easy 5 out of 5 stars. In fact, this is like 6 stars. I ate this book up! I was already really excited to read it from everything that I had been hearing about it and it did not disappoint in the slightest bit! I am in LOVE with the Graves brothers (moreso Zayden if I’m being really honest). Like I have never come across a golden retriever psychopath before and omg. And honeslty, I really loved the FMC and how the author wrote her. Even with the unique attribute of her FMC she never fixated on her looks and she had a really cool personality, like I would love to be friends with Blake irl. I wish I could erase this from my brain and read it all over again. Even with the ending being a trope that I usually hate, I really loved it, it made me want to cry a little but tbh because I was so happy lol. I’m 10000000% going to be buying the audiobook as well.

nicky listens to chappell roan, troye sivan, ariana grande, harry styles and charli xcx (he loved brat)

neil hates pop music. (this is canon)

aaron listens to taylor swift (courtesy of katelyn) his favourite albums are folklore and ttpd, he is also a phoebe bridgers enjoyer

katelyn loves taylor swift, olivia rodrigo, sabrina carpenter, madison beer, all the pop girlies

andrew listens to heavy metal and hard rock and occasionally a girlypop glitter gel pen song but no one (except maybe neil) will ever know (he'd probably like arctic monkeys, paramore and exclusively get him back! by olivia rodrigo)

kevin fucks heavily with tchaikovsky, shostakovich and vivaldi (he's just like me fr)

jean probably doesn't know a lot of modern music but is getting into some modern sad songs (courtesy of the trojans; some of his favourites are folklore/evermore/ttpd songs, gracie abrams, the grudge and logical by olivia, phoebe bridgers, billie eilish, mitski, lana del rey, laufey and conan gray)

kevin also probably likes mitski and lana if we're talking modern music

i feel like allison would listen to all kinds of music but her top artists are probably charli xcx, ariana grande, sabrina carpenter, maybe a bit of lana?

matt loves pop but also fucks w rnb for working out and stuff (his top artists are probably taylor swift and the weeknd)

neil is forced to listen to modern music with the foxes and the only artists he'll admit to kind of liking are the neighbourhood and some lana

dan would probably like rap and rnb but she wouldn't mind taylor swift kind of pop (she and the girls listen to bad blood canon)

renee would probably enjoy beabadoobee, laufey, clairo and bruno mars (and jazz/indie in general)

jeremy, cat and laila have pretty similar music tastes (fairly mainstream, mostly pop; taylor, ariana, olivia, sabrina, a bit of maisie peters, harry styles, CHAPPELL ROAN, and one direction sue me)

Let's Talk About The IRL Worldwide Tour

This promotional video shows us that Big Time Rush is ushering both a tour and the Big Time Comeback movie rather than just one out of the two. I'm plenty excited, but I also have my reservations. Let's discuss my thoughts on what we know so far.

I won't lie, I thought the baby Kendall was holding was his own daughter Maple. It's a fucking doll, it's not real. I wonder if Maple will show up at any point of the movie seeing as Carlos' son Ocean is definitely in there. I have my concerns because of what happened to Kingston a couple summers ago on La Vida Penavega. I'm not a fan of family vloggers, but I'm sure the kid's having a good time so I shouldn't be so pessimistic. Speaking of Carlos, I was delighted to see him eating a corndog. There were a couple charming callbacks to the original series that made me happy.

Logan assuredly hasn't lost the spark in his Nickelodeon-style acting. He's just as expressive and fluid in his movements as always. I was refreshed to see his snippet as Dr. Mitchell. James also kept his flamboyant energy and still clings to his handheld mirror, lucky comb, and Barracuda Man Spray. Though that whole thing of him sweating and working out with paper cutouts of himself from magazines on the floor was... mildly disturbing. Actually, it was pretty weird. I couldn't stop grimacing.

There were plenty of jabs at meta humor that sort of felt like they were reaching. They referred to Jo as Katelyn, Gustavo as Stephen, but James seemed confused as to how to refer to himself. I know it was a mix of Big Time Comeback and the tour, but I felt a mixture of delight and indifference toward it as a whole. I also throughly enjoyed the usage of the Nickelodeon soundboard from the original series. Although, I'm 80% sure I heard a snippet of the Halo theme while Stephen was speaking.

I'm far less pessimistic about Big Time Comeback, and I think it has a refreshing contrast between Nickelodeon humor and their own humor. I can't wait for the film and the tour!

Kicking this off with my head cannon of who in the Mystreet universe I think would be a ✨Swiftie✨

Garroth- 10000% he BLASTS 1989 24/7!! Several noise complaints from neighbors

Laurence- Cadenza got him into her music and he’s bonded with Garroth over it so yea he’s a solid “casual” Swiftie

Aphmau- HELL yes!!! Her and Garroth are menaces when they get to fangirl in the same room she totally went with him to the eras tour

Aaron- he claims he only listens to her because of Aph but he for sure cries to every single song on Evermore

KC- surprisingly no, I think she’s supportive but definitely more of a Kpop girlie.

Zane- yes but he pretends not to be

Travis- yes but he can’t listen to 1989 anymore after being Garroth’s roommate (even tho it wasn’t that long)

Dante- thinks she’s hot but hasn’t really listened past her singles (except 1989- which he sings along to every time he hears it)

Katelyn- she enjoys her music (loves to see a strong confident woman) but doesn’t really go out of her way to listen

Gene- he wouldn’t realize he was listening to Taylor swift ever and probably wouldn’t care.

Lucinda- YEEEESSSS!!! As big as Aph and Garroth

Blaze- FOR SURE!!! He cried the whole way through the Miss Americana documentary. Avid Midnights and Speak Now girlie.

Don’t think about Wymack walking Dan down the aisle to the soft sound of a piano and trying so very hard not to shed a tear because he is a Tough Man.

Don’t think about Allison hiring the best caterers she knows and gifting them with an obscenely big wedding cake which Andrew definitely hasn’t been eyeing ever since he spotted it.

Don’t think about the various couples slowly dancing together (and obviously don’t think about Neil and Andrew also dancing together but in another room out of sight from everyone).

Don’t think about Wymack finally letting go of the Tough Man act and just full on letting out a sob when he takes Dan and Matt in his arms.

Don’t think about Neil giving, to everyone’s surprise, the most wholesome speech and having Dan just fuck up the makeup Allison applied that morning while Renee did her hair with fat tears.

Don’t think about the way Andrew is not so subtly devouring Neil with his eyes because Matt got him a taylor-made black suit and Andrew is just ridiculously enamored with his idiot it’s actually embarrassing.

Don’t think about Aaron going up to them hand in hand with Katelyn and telling them he’s glad Dan was their captain even if he was a little shit he always admired her anyway and Matt was a cool teammate even if he still owes him an ass beating at that one video game.

Don’t think about Neil talking to Matt in private when the party starts slowing down and telling him he’s glad he got to live to see them be so happy together.

Don’t think about Kevin pulling Dan to the side and thanking her for having taken such good care of his father when he didn’t know how to properly be someone’s son.
