I need everyone doomsdaying in my inbox to remember that Kat is a journalist and some people are waiting for Ryan to say in an interview that the mustache is gay and that Eddie's in love with Buck and that buddie will be fucking nasty on 804. This is an interview that has been done before the season started airing, Ryan is probably talking about Eddie's identity the same way he has been talking about it the whole time. In my opinion, Kat is trying to get people's expectations back down. Ryan is not gonna confirm to a journalist he grew a beard because he wanted Eddie to have a gay mustache even if that was the case because that would be a major spoiler now that we know the mustache will play a part in Eddie's storyline but some of y'all are expecting it to be the case. The mustache is its own character, avoiding things that will spoil its purpose is definitely the expectation, but Kat knows people who follow her ship buddie and we are a bit too intense at times. Even more considering the fact that all it takes is one tweet from a journalist for everyone to lose their minds. Oliver spent the whole time before 704 talking about Buck redefining his relationship with himself. And now we have bi Buck. Take a breath, have some faith.

There really is something so heinous about the news media continuing to say “Both Ukraine and Russia blame each other” about the Kakhovka Dam. Like I understand that they have journalistic standards blah blah blah need concrete unbiased proof (whatever that means) blah blah blah but there’s only so many times you can say “Both sides blame each other” when: a) it is VERY clear who benefits from that dam blowing and multiple experts have pointed this out b) it is such a known Russian tactic that I, someone with casual passerby knowledge of Russian military history, KNOW that salting the earth and bombarding civilians is something they have done before and continue to do c) it would be extremely out of character for Ukraine to do something that so thoroughly screws themselves over in the short and long term d) there are now reports of Russian troops firing on civilians fleeing the flood vs the Ukrainian response of frantically saving everyone they possibly can and finally e) When talking about this invasion Ukraine has been generally truthful and Russia couldn’t say good morning without lying twice & our news media know this!

if you want to take steps to avoid this, listen to non-white video essayists. theres a fuck ton, in whatever genre you like, that are routinely buried by popular white guys. take great care to not pigeon-hole creators into being "experts" on their minority status, watch and listen for other shit too.

She has a Bachelor's Degree in Communications and minor in Journalism through Marymount Manhattan College and a MFA in Writing and Producing Television from LIU Brooklyn.

Phil Falco is a New York-based comic book writer and the co-founder of Lifeline Comics. He is known for his creator-owned work on HAUNTING and Webtoon's Slice of Life, and as the co-creator and co-editor of anthologies Hairology: A Celebration of All Hair Types and Bi Visibility: A Bisexual Anthology.

We are giddy to announce that we are working with tabletop roleplaying legends Magpie Games to create Fallen London: The Roleplaying Game, a fully-fledged, custom tabletop roleplaying system for Fallen London, in a big book and everything!

In Fallen London: the Roleplaying Game, players create their own characters by drawing on the factions, archetypes, and settings of the city — cutthroats, socialites, radicals, academics, and other, stranger creatures. They are brought together by a shared ambition; a very nearly unachievable goal. Such ambitions may destroy or drive mad those who pursue them… or they may change London forever. The Heart, as they say, is Destiny’s engine.

Fallen London: The Roleplaying Game is slated for release in late 2025 along with a supplement, Fallen London: Secrets of the Neath. In addition, players will be able to complete their tools for gameplay with the Fallen London Dice Pack and Fallen London Gamemaster Screen. Gameplay will consist of proprietary game mechanics currently in development by Magpie Games. We're going to introduce the project in full on August 23rd at 16:00 EDT/21:00 BST in a live stream, hosted by friend, scholar, journalist, streamer and Doctor of the Internet Kat Brewster on their Twitch channel! A special celebration of the remarkable creative life of Sir Terry Pratchett, 40 years after the publication of the first Discworld novel The Colour of Magic.

This event takes place in the British Library and will be simultaneously live streamed on the British Library platform. Tickets may be booked either to attend in person, or to watch on our platform (online) either live or within 48 hours on catch up. Viewing links will be sent out shortly before the event.

Soon after The Colour of Magic was published, it inspired a young journalist Neil Gaiman to meet Terry, beginning a long collaborative friendship that was epitomised by their joint novel Good Omens, which appeared in 1990. The TV version of Good Omens was created by Neil Gaiman, with the first season on screen in 2019 and the second earlier this year.

Neil is joined Terry Pratchett’s biographer and former assistant Rob Wilkins, in a conversation hosted by Kat Brown.

Good Omens Christmas jumpers, because of course they are a thing now

Glad to see that I’m not the only one clowning about the Good Omens Christmas jumper designs! You know what it means — putting together everything in one thread to make the further speculations more streamlined and, obviously, fun.

On November 20th, Rob Wilkins was present at the “Designing Terry Pratchett’s Discworld” event at Brendon Books. Probably not much to talk about from most of the Good Omens fans perspective, if not for the journalist Kat Brown posting on Bluesky the next morning:

But wait, something’s wrong. Or maybe not wrong, just… different. Why is Crowley the one shielding Aziraphale with his wing in his demonic, black-clothed, black-winged form? That’s a clear deviation from the pattern established in Eden and Before the Beginning.

There was barely enough time to discuss this phenomenon properly though. In the afternoon of November 21st, Rob made a previously unannounced appearance at the Paul Kidby’s “Designing Terry Pratchett’s Discworld” event at Waterstones Piccadilly, where he presented the Aziraphalean version of the jumper. On it — one Forty Years of Discworld pin and a second one in preparation for 2025 as The Year of the Luminous Lemur. Thanks to the phenomenal @basement-jax (I’m not exaggerating, I’ve seen her perform live on stage with Michael Sheen last month) present on site, we got the next photos in real time:

Let’s compare both designs, starting with the most noticeable difference — their color schemes. Both consist of six different swatches, three of which (white, black, and skin tone) repeat. The remaining three are two shades of the fourth color (brown for Aziraphale and red for Crowley) and a fifth, contrasting color (blue and yellow, respectively).

Six is obviously a very important number in terms of the Good Omens lore. Six episodes per season, 666 as the number of the Beast (Antichrist/Adam), 668 as the original title of the unpublished sequel — the ending of this story that will be finally adapted and revealed very soon. Not accidental.

Which brings us to the question of the left angel’s hair. Changing two brown shades to two golden ones, one already used in the other color scheme, not only shouldn’t be a problem for the designer, but would be a cheaper option and ensure consistency with the right angel’s design.

Some netizens have suggested that this discrepancy is caused by the left design representing the book iterations of the Ineffable Husbands. Book Crowley’s hair is dark — could be black, brown, red, even dark blond — and book Aziraphale’s hair is blond, which logically could be depicted as white or light brown.

Their graphic novel iterations created by Colleen Doran use black for Crowley’s hair (much longer than that of the left jumper demon) and blond for Aziraphale, close enough to the yellow yarn already used in this project and not quite the same shape as the jumper angels’ hairstyles.

Since neither seem to be an exact match for the design, could it be reverse Omens? The answer is not as simple. The characters aren’t just swapped; both of their hairstyles have been redrawn, at least partially. Unlikely a technical issue, when wings and clothes stayed exactly the same.

That would be the facts. Now onto the silliness!

My clowning theory is that we’re dealing with two alternative timelines or retellings here.

For Christmas, Crowley wishes for things to stay exactly the same as they are — but with him as Aziraphale’s protector, the romantic hero his angel needs and deserves.

Aziraphale wishes for a past where he doesn’t exist, or at least never meets Crowley. That’s how the latter would stay an angel and his role of the Serpent of Eden would be taken over by someone else — someone like Beelzebub, perhaps, with their small frame and short black hair?

@bardraelyn kindly suggested yet another option, purely out of amusement: “What if the “Aziraphale’ sweater depicts Lucifer and God?”.

Katy Kat is a journalist of an independent newspaper, which collects reliable information about everything that happens in the country, including what is far from favorable to the authorities.... Lives in the capital, but on weekends she goes to visit her gf Lammy in Parappa town. She was going to take her with her to live in the capital, but after the purple-shirts took over the government, the newspaper publishing house received a lot of complaints from the guster's party - they didn't like the opposition of the publishing house.

However, even after complaints and threats, Katy continues to delight readers with new articles, although it is clear that it will not last.

I'm guessing a journalist mixing their shipper opinions with their professional content gets pass when it's not Max? Because I've read nothing but compliments for the things Kat puts out for the public... ...I wonder why that might be! (Oh, right. One's a man.) Between creating a timeline of Buck and Eddie's friendship that gets updated like it's bRaND nEW iNFoRmATioN, keeping a record of every time Ryan and Oliver have discussed Buddie, and asking Buddie questions because "I asked your costar, so I HAVE to ask you, too"...the secondhand embarrassment with this journalist in particular is very real.
