After you called off the arrangement, he. . .
Tumblr media
Doesn’t last more than a few days without you — he wasn’t cut out for this ‘casual, no feelings’ kinda thing anyway; doesn’t know what to do with himself now that you aren’t around and is an absolute mess because he is hopelessly in love with you and has been for awhile. Knows he should’ve confessed sooner and spends an ungodly amount of time trying to figure out how to confess before ultimately just showing up at your door out of the blue and word vomiting everything that comes to mind. It’s frantic and jumbled, but he ends it with a firm- yet panicked- ‘I love you!’. After either laughing or tearing up a little, you [adoringly] shut him up with a kiss and let him really ask you out when he’s calmed down.
↳ IZUKU MIDORIYA, Kirishima Eijiro, BACHIRA MEGURU, Yoichi Isagi, REO MIKAGE, SAKURA HARUKA, Umemiya Hajime, NIREI AKIHIKO, ATSUSHI NAKAJIMA, Edgar A. Poe, Chuuya Nakahara (hear me out), GENYA SHINAGUZAWA, Tanjiro Kamado, RENGOKU KYOJURO, NARUTO UZUMAKI, Itachi Uchiha
Doesn’t last more than a few weeks without you — he really tried to ignore the aching feelings that washed over him like a wave every time he remembered that he didn’t have you anymore: but he was stubborn. Stupidly stubborn and stupidly in love. As the weeks start to pile up, he can’t take it— he’s tried to move on, but he couldn’t even stand getting close to anyone, much less get past mindless flirting. It made him sick because it wasn’t you. Shows up at your door early in the morning one day, in the pouring rain, and gets on his knees, begging for you to forgive him and take him back and so many other rushed confessions that his voice ends up cracking by the time he says ‘I-I love you!’. He’s only placated when you cup his cheek, noting that he wasn’t usually like this and that you could talk it out, but he doesn’t miss the grin on your face.

Doesn’t last a year without you — He was blunt with his intentions from the start: physical, no feelings. It’s how he did things and he had a reputation to prove it. He didn’t bank on actually falling for you, though, so when you left, he took it in stride. His habits continued…but for some reason, it made him angry any time he heard your name. He wasn’t used to the pit in his chest, so naturally, he vented it out on other trysts. Months had passed and his friends kept pointing out how he didn’t really seem happy anymore— and then they dropped a bombshell. You were seen on a date with some other guy. He seethes for weeks, punching holes in his walls, driving way too fast down the freeways, and he still didn’t know why! But then he finds an old video in his snap memories of you laughing and lying over him half naked, pressing kisses all over his face. And that’s how he found himself meeting you outside your door after you’d gotten dropped off from your nth date and at first he didn’t know what to say, but then the apology came and the stinging of his eyes and a choked, gruff confession that he fucking loves you goddamnit, and he knows he was a dumb dick, but he’s ready to beg to start over with you. Do it right from the start. The hug you both share is ‘end of the world’ desperate, but it gives him hope. He’ll be a good man. For you.
↳ SAE ITOSHI, Post!WildCard Kunigami Rensuke, TAKIISHI CHIKA, Dark Era/Beast!Dazai Osamu, SANEMI SHINAGUZAWA, SASUKE UCHIHA (or any of our other emotionally stunted boys, my mind was blanking <3)

Kny + Taking care of your injuries
• Ft: Tanjiro Kamado, Inosuke Hashibira, Zenitsu Agatsuma, Genya Shinazugawa, and Tokito Muichiro
•Summary: What do the Kny boys do when you get injured by a demon?
•Warning: blood, mention of open wounds, swearing
•P.S: for every character/scenario reader is the same age as character.
Tumblr media
• He immediately rushes to your side.
• “Try to stay focused, I’m sure your senses will come back to you!” Tanjiro reassured trying to cheer [Name] up, but then quickly focusing back on the fight.
“Thanks Tanjiro!” [Name] said as he flashed a quick smile at his boyfriend, then quickly focusing on the demon in front of him.
The demon was strong, strong enough to injure [Name]. Usually, [Name] could’ve avoided the demons attack, but since his senses were off he wasn’t able to.
[Name] let out a yelp, as he quickly fell to the ground. “Shit!” [Name] yelled, as he quickly got up and decapitated the demon, then went sat down on the ground. His face wincing in pain.
“[Name]!” Tanjiro yelled to his boyfriend. He quickly rushed to him, a string of comforting words escaping his mouth.
“It’s okay Tanjiro the wound isn’t that bad.” [Name] said trying his best to reassure the panicking boy. “I can use a breathing technique to stop the bleeding!” [Name] said while putting on a soft reassuring smile on his face.
After Tanjiro calmed down a bit he quickly put [Name] on his shoulders, ready to take him to the butterfly estate.
“Stay with me [Name].” Tanjiro whispered hoping [Name] heard him.
“I will, I promise” [Name] quickly said back.
Tumblr media
• He senses right away.
•At first he thinks your wound not that serious.
[Name] let out a yelp as he fell to the ground. “Fuck!” [Name] shouted, as he put his hand over his wound.
“[Name]!” Inosuke yelled, he quickly beheaded the demon in anger, then rushed to his boyfriends side.
“This hurts like hell” [Name] said, a small smirk appearing on his face as he winced in pain st his wound.
“You better fucking stay with me, I swear to fucking god [Name].” Inosuke said trying his best not to panic.
“I don’t plan on dying!” [Name] replied back with a huge grin on his face, trying to make his boyfriend put on a smile.
“I knew that!” Inosuke boasted, as he picked up [Name] and went to go find help for his boyfriend.
“You’ll get all healed up soon, i promise.” Inosuke whispered in [Names] ear.
“All thanks to you!” [Name] smiled, giving his boyfriend a peck on his cheek.
Tumblr media
• He hears the sound of flesh being torn and the sound of an scream.
• It was a scream from a really familiar voice.
“[Name]?” Zenitsu yelled out, hoping to get an answer. However, there was no answer. The good thing was Zenitsu could still hear the sound of his boyfriends heart beating.
“Zenitsu?” [Name] softly called out, as he gasped for air, trying to stand up attempting behead the demon.
At this point Zenitsu was about to burst into tears, seeing his boyfriend struggle like that was just to much to bear.
Zenitsu quickly beheaded the demon, then quickly rushed to [Name’s] side.
“No [Name] you lay down, I’ll see if i could get help for you” Zenitsu reassured the boy, while applying pressure to his wounds.
“Thank you Zenitsu” [Name] thanked, giving the boy a soft smile, making Zenitsu’s heart melt.
“I’m sorry I let you get hurt like this.” Zenitsu said as he wiped the tears out of his eyes.
“It’s not your fault.” [Name] replied back as he wrapped his hands around Zenitsu’s waist bringing himself closer to the boy.
Tumblr media
• He goes into complete panic but he doesn’t show it.
• He shoots the demons head off the immediately rushes to your side.
[Name] let out a string of cuss words underneath his breath, as he put his hand over his wound.
“The wound is deep, we gotta get you do a doctor, or at least the butterfly estate” Genya whispered to his boyfriend.
“It’s gonna leave a really badass scar though!” [Name] excitedly back flashing a huge grin at Genya.
[Name] always turned a serious situation like this into someone that could make the two boys smile. That’s something Genya loved about him.
“Yeah it will won’t it?” Genya smiled, leading to the two boys giggling.
Genya picked up [Name] and quickly rushed to the butterfly estate so his boyfriend’s wounds could be treated.
Though Genya still felt worried at the fact that [Name] had a really deep wound, something bad could happen to him.
“Nothing’s gonna happen to me i promise.” [Name] told Genya reassuring the boy.
“Well you better keep that promise, okay?” Genya replied back all his worries going away.
Tumblr media
• Notices really quick.
• Tells you what you should do to stop the bleeding, so he could quickly fight off the demon and attend to you.
As soon as he beheads the demon he rushes to your side.
Seeing [Name] wince in pain made him feel some sorta way, he couldn’t describe the feeling but all Muichiro knew is that he wanted that feeling to go away.
“You need to relax [Name].” Muichiro calmly whispered to his boyfriend, the fourteen year old boy immediately relaxing after hearing his boyfriend’s soothing voice.
“Good, this is gonna hurt a bit, but you have to get up.” Muichiro followed, as he helped [Name] get up.
[Name] let out a soft sigh as he leaned on Muichiro’s body.
“This really sucks.” [Name] complained, as he used Muichiro as support for his injured body. [Name’s] body was swaying left to right, as he struggled to stand up still for even a second.
[Name] placed a small peck on Muichiro’s cheek as a reward for him being so patient with him, making the boy smile back at him.
“You’re the best Muichiro” [Name] said as he rested his head on Muichiro’s shoulder.

Tumblr media
For a while now, Sanemi's had his eyes set on Giyuu. If asked, he wouldn't have been able to pinpoint a specific time when stirrings began to make their appearances. But did it really matter?
After a couple sessions of ranting about Giyuu and a couple more lectures by Obanai to just ask the fucking man out, he steeled himself to the task, asking his crow for directions and marching towards Giyuu's estate. As it turned out, fate seemed to have other things in mind.
Tanjiro and Nezuko were at Giyuu's house that evening, crowding around him and overwhelming him with lively chatter—though it was mostly Tanjiro. As they spoke, a sudden aroma of ohagi and tea hit Tanjiro and he froze, an almost frown threatening to wilt his smile. Sanemi was here, and he was coming. He turned to Nezuko, leaning down to whisper in her ear.
"Nezuko, we have to protect Giyuu-san now, okay? Shinazugawa-san's coming here and he's mean—he's the one who stabbed you, remember?"
Nezuko gave a quick nod, still clinging onto Giyuu's arm.
Giyuu noticed the new presence a second later and Sanemi's appearance became visible as he started down the path towards Giyuu's house and the trio.
"Shinazugawa...? Why is he here?" Giyuu muttered, mostly to himself.
His words brought an instantaneous result and Tanjiro and Nezuko latched onto him, swarming him with distractions. He stumbled slightly at the sudden amount of complete and utter attention, blinking quickly and trying to keep up with their conversations.
Sanemi, who was only a couple yards away now, was scowling. Because of course the Kamado's were here. Of course. But they annoyed him so much and he really wanted to scream now. But he kept going because no doubt Obanai would berate him if he came back and reported that he hadn't even tried.
As he gained closer ground, Tanjiro peeked back and glared furiously at him, his usually soft and smile-graced face now contorted in a stupid, petty frown. Honestly, Sanemi wanted to laugh. And run away. Because Hashira or not he understood perfectly well the overprotectiveness siblings could hold and Giyuu and the Kamados were basically family at this point so he was sure this wouldn't end well.
Nevertheless, he approached Giyuu whose head tilted so adorably in question. As Sanemi went to speak, Nezuko pulled on Giyuu's haori sleeve, mumbling something unintelligible. Apparently, Giyuu understood because he picked her up, bouncing her gently on his hip. Tanjiro skirted in front of Giyuu, creating some sort of human blockade which seemed to be to stop Sanemi from talking. Irritating, but he would have to make do.
"Hey, uh, Tomioka?" Sanemi started. His words were drowned out by a sudden stream of mostly incoherent sentences that Tanjiro shouted, pushing tons of enthusiasm into, shooting Sanemi another glower before going back to Giyuu.
Sanemi let out a breath and said, louder this time, "Tomioka! Tomioka- Uh, God, can you hear me...?"
Giyuu seemed unable to make sense of anything now as Nezuko joined in, huffing and mumbling, adding to the chaos of sound. Tanjiro turned slightly to Sanemi, just enough so he could see the grin that accompanied his chorus of words.
"Shit- Can you guys just shut the fuck up?!" Sanemi snapped, rubbing the bridge of his nose.
Nezuko made a sound equivelant to a gasp and gave Sanemi an accusing look, crossing her arms. Tanjiro, delivering a similar reaction, reached up to cover Nezuko's ears.
Giyuu frowned. "Don't swear in front of innocent children, Shinazugawa... It's not very moral."
Sanemi scoffed. "Innocent? They're children of the fucking devil, for god's sake!"
Tanjiro waved his hand at Sanemi as if he were a fly as Giyuu held Nezuko closer to himself protectively. "No, they're not..." he mumbled, looking like he wanted to swat at Sanemi himself now.
Nezuko, noticing an opportunity, promptly burst into tears. Giyuu shot Sanemi a look, muttering, "Look what you've done!" before he attended to the little girl, whispering soft reassurances and patting her head. He carried her into his house, Tanjiro close at his heels.
Sanemi simply stared for a long moment as the door closed behind them. Then he grumbled, turning and stalking back home.
The next day, he stole some of the Sakura Mochi that Obanai had bought for Mitsuri and went back to Giyuu's house. He found Tanjiro and Nezuko there yet again, although luckily Giyuu seemed to be out somewhere at the moment. He approached them more cautiously this time. They both stared up at them from their seats on the ground, eyes narrowed with suspicion.
"Uh... Here," he said, holding out the Sakura Mochi he had taken. They promptly refused it. He gritted his teeth, suppressing a string of obscenities. "You can have this... It's sweet? You'll like it, I swear."
They didn't budge. He let out a frustrated groan.
"Take it!! Oh, gods, just take it!!" he snapped, barely resisting the urge to crush the mochi and throw it at their faces.
Nezuko crossed her arms and turned her face up, eyes closed indignantly. Tanjiro copied her, mimicking the petty pose. They stayed like that no matter how much Sanemi begged for them to just take the fucking mochi until Giyuu appeared, looking slightly worn out (supposedly, he had been training).
"Huh...? Shinazugawa?" he said, uncertainty lacing his tone.
Sanemi instantly changed his expression, giving him the best smile he could muster through all his frustration and turning away from the Kamados. "Heyy... Tomioka... Hey, uh, can we talk? Preferably somewhere priva-" Sanemi started, cutting himself off with a yelp as Nezuko ambushed him, jumping onto his back.
For a moment, Sanemi was very tempted to grab her leg and throw her into the furthest country from here. But as her arms latched onto his shoulder, holding tightly as to not fall, memories stirred in his mind and he got a different idea. He still did hold onto her legs, but instead wrapped them around his waist, hoisting her up so she would stay, and turning back to Giyuu as if he wasn't just giving a piggy-back ride to the devil of a little girl who had just jumped on him.
"So?... Can we talk?" Sanemi asked, ignoring Giyuu's half bemused, half amused expression.
On Sanemi's back, Nezuko appeared confused because she didn't do anything at first. Then, apparently deciding it wasn't that bad, leaned onto Sanemi, laughter bubbling in her chest.
Of course, Tanjiro quickly decided this wasn't a good thing and snatched Nezuko back, hugging her tightly to his chest.
"He doesn't want to talk, Shinazugawa-san," he said firmly, as if Giyuu had somehow confirmed this.
Meanwhile, Giyuu was just staring at them with an expression that spoke clearly for itself. He really didn't know what to do anymore.
"He never said that," Sanemi argued, glaring at Tanjiro.
"His silence was answer enough!" Tanjiro shot back.
As they bickered back and forth, Giyuu finally spoke up, causing a pause in their conversation.
"Why do you want to talk...? And why do you keep coming to my house?" he asked, frowning. "Are you stalking me?"
Tanjiro looked on the verge of laughter but stopped Sanemi before he could speak, apparently wanting to embarrass him as much as he could. "He wants to ask you out, Giyuu-san."
Giyuu was only more confused. "Ask me... out? We're outside now, though."
Tanjiro shook his head and not for the first time, Sanemi resisted the urge to punch the boy in the face.
"Not literally outside. Shinazugawa-san likes you, I mean. He wants you to be his boyfriend, I think." Tanjiro crossed his arms, turning to glare at Sanemi before freezing when he saw the obvious flush that was spreading on Giyuu's face.
"What?" Giyuu asked. Possibly, he was on fire. Just his face.
Tanjiro sighed. "Nevermind... Please ignore everything I said."
Giyuu, however, did not ignore it. He turned to Sanemi, eyes wide. "You like me? I thought you hated me?"
Sanemi let out a breath, wishing he could crawl into a hole and die—because honestly this was so much worse than he'd imagined. Giyuu deciding he hated him and stabbing him was really a much better result.
"Yeah, well, I don't. Surprise!" Sanemi said, voice taking a sarcastic at the end. He was so ready to just completely drop the whole notion of dating Giyuu if all these difficulties became normality.
Giyuu opened and closed his mouth several times before he spoke. "You want to date me...?"
"Is that not obvious?"
Considering this, Giyuu said, "Are you sure?"
"What, do you need me to spell it out for you? Yes, I want to date you. Will you just respond or something?? Do you wanna go out or not?" Sanemi asked, a bit too harshly.
"I-" Giyuu started.
Tanjiro cut him off. "I don't want you dating him."
Sanemi rolled his eyes. Big surprise there. "Okay? Why?"
"Because you're mean! And you stabbed Nezuko! If you apologize, then maybe..." Tanjiro said, crossing his arms. It was obvious he expected Sanemi not to apologize.
But at this point, Sanemi felt that if he just left all his effort and suffering would be wasted. So, instead, he caved, bending down to talk to Nezuko who was still in Tanjiro's arms.
"Uh... Hey, kid," he said awkwardly. "Sorry...? For hurting you. And breaking your box."
Nezuko considered this, then nodded approvingly. It didn't take much to please her, Sanemi guessed with a triumphant glance at Tanjiro who was not very happy.
"You also have to promise to devote your life to Giyuu-san and never make him sad and-" Tanjiro tried, but Giyuu interrupted.
"Tanjiro... That's too much. He doesn't have to do anything for me," Giyuu said.
"But-" Tanjiro protested, only for Giyuu to cut him off again.
"No, Tanjiro, it's-"
This time, Sanemi butt in, saying, "Yeah, okay, I promise to do my best. Can we get back to the topic??"
Tanjiro sighed. "Fine."
Satisfied, Sanemi turned back to Giyuu. "So?" he prompted.
"I... Yeah, I want to date..." Giyuu mumbled, averting his eyes.
Tanjiro looked very, very irritated but Nezuko had already moved one, playing with Tanjiro's haori sleeve.
Sanemi flashed a smile. "Great."
Ok also have a doodle of Sanemi winning over Nezuko's heart bc why not:

Okay!! I was able to counter act the links being funky in my app by opening your blog in my mobile browser!!!! so I was able to read your rules n stuff so now I can finally request (yusss!!! also, I saw the "ingo,,, again" under the PLA characters you write for and it made me think "ingo 2,,, electric boogaloo" heheheh. also yeah fuck kamado, all my homies hate kamado)
okay, could I please request a lil drabble (if you only do hc's thats fine of course! I just couldnt find it clearly if you only do hc's) of Adaman taking care of a reader who is on bed rest and healing? the exact stuff of how and what is up to you, for me its more so the comfort and caring side, not so much the angst side (so like, nothing thats like "omg reader was near death" pls?). gender of the reader I dont mind, just do what youre most comfortable with and yee!! thank youuuu
Hi you’ve been such a kind supporter I’m sorry it took me so long to get to you!! And yeah. Fuck Kamado. That exile would have been my villain origin story if the game gave me more agency, I swear to god.
And conversely, we love Adaman. They put him in pokemas and my quality of life has improved significantly <3
Oh and I’m sorry about the lack of clarity of what I do! I do only HCs, but at the level of detail I can’t stop myself from including, they’re kinda like a weird fusion between drabble and headcanons.
Healing Takes Time — Adaman x M!Reader
Tumblr media
💎 — Hisui is a dangerous place and injuries ranging from minor to severe are all too common. So Adaman’s not exactly a stranger to presiding over loved ones on bed rest.
💎 — Doesn’t mean he’s good at it, though.
💎 — Mai reminds him that the slow passage of time is just as important as things that happen in the quick, efficient manner that he prefers as well. It’s not a slight from Mighty Dialga being displeased, it’s just the nature of time. But he can’t just stand around when it comes to your health! Yes, rest takes time, he’s aware, but all this waiting feels the same as doing nothing to him.
💎 — Mai basically has to keep him away from you constantly because he’s always fretting over you, which is definitely sweet of him even if it’s not exactly helpful, but it is funny to watch the cartoonish shenanigans of Mai trying to constantly shoo Adaman away from the medical tent.
💎 — Even if what you’re recovering from isn’t serious, you’d never be able to guess that from how he behaves.
💎 — He essentially becomes your primary nurse and seldom lets you out of his sight if he can help it (thanks to Mai being the reasonable one, he usually can’t).
💎 — Once things calm down though, after the first two or three days when your recovery progress is becoming quite apparent, he’s less frazzled and more willing to leave you be. He just can’t help that impatience winning out, though, sometimes.
💎 — He’ll be there to help you with maintaining yourself while you rest, sitting beside your futon while you recover, brushing your hair so you don’t have to, keeping a fresh cold compress on you at all times if the problem is that you’re sick and feverish, changing your bandages if it’s an injury, all that.
💎 — If you’re okay with it, he’ll also happily bring his Leafeon to see you for some good old fashioned grass-type aromatherapy. I know Leafeon can’t actually learn the move aromatherapy, but it’s clearly made of plants and must have some kind of floral/herbal smell.
💎 — And since we know he is a house husband in the making guy with an interest in cooking, you bet he’ll be bringing you all manner of home-cooked meals.
💎 — He’s so dutiful, oftentimes he doesn’t go back to his own tent for the night and will instead fall asleep on the cold floor next to your futon.
💎 — Adaman is very sure to keep you abreast of all goings-on in the clan, usually nothing much of interest, but he does uncharacteristically bring you all sorts of gossip. It’s not that he likes to gossip, but while you’re bedridden he can’t think of much to entertain you with so this is what he’s settled on. And also he probably would like to vent his multitude of frustrations with Melli specifically because you just know 3/5 instances of drama involve some kind of category 5 Melli moment.
💎 — Once you start to recover and leave your bedridden state, he’s still just as present as he was before.
💎 — If it was an injury he’s always making sure you’re not overexerting yourself, and if it’s something that happened to your legs, he’s volunteering to help you walk around so you don’t put too much pressure on the injury.
💎 — For illness he’ll always be on your case about taking whatever medicines/remedies you were instructed to, because your recovery has already taken ages (to him) already, and he’s not sure he can bear seeing you sick for much longer.
💎 — Regardless of the reason you’re bedridden, he’ll always give you a kiss on the forehead when he enters the tent and before he leaves—though if you’re sick, he musters the self control to wait. Ideally he can keep that up, but he might get a little impatient… oh well. He needs to remind you how much he loves you, and if he ends up getting what you have, he knows you’ll care for him just as dutifully as he did you.

DAY ONE
-wake up on the beach
-literally no memory of how i got here. How the fuck did i get here
-i am still an adult man and i spawned in with a shiny jolteon
-oh god.

-be questioned by cyllene
-look man …… i have no answers for you. I fell from the sky with this thing and no memory (of how the fuck this happened) i swear to god
-apparently nobody in the galaxy team has heard of being able to talk to pokemon.
-kamado does not like that i showed up no memory no money no job and started asking weird questions so he gives me a harder trial. Fight the alpha bibarel at the dam past deertrack heights
-rei and akari are both there. Thank god. If i fuck it up and stop being the protagonist one of them can do the story mode
-skylark points out that given the severity of catching a starly shinx and bidoof in the game, they are for sure definitely for real trying to kill us by making us fight an alpha bibarel on our first day

-but not bibarel. Sorry bibarel.
-laventon didnt give me the oshawott bc i literally already had a pokemon so samurott is off the table (SAD)
-eevee are so rare and i am not going to be the eeveelution guy so leafeon and vaporeon are also no go even if i like them. A freaky jolteon is enough

-I ALSO WANT A SCIZOR 🥺
-skylark voice Can you look me in the eyes and promise me that you will not start shaking and crying as soon as you get anywhere near a scyther. Can you truly say with a straight face that your insect phobia will not apply to pokemon if pokemon are real
-i believe in my ability to forget fear in the face of love. And i love scyther.
-both of those are flying types and kleavor is a rock type so unless i find a metal coat day 2 or i want to let my soon to be three idiots fight a nightmare battle we need a fourth party member to take on the boss
-what other fucking pokemon are even in this area. I dont remember
-give up on brainstorming for now and go back to the camp victorious

-i may only be 22 years old but KAMEN RIDER DEMONS VOICE i will lay down my life to protect these 15 year olds ive known for 24 hours
-hmm skylark i know we already fucked up the plot but dont you feel like we’re forgetting something
-stare at each other
-oh my god. Where the fuck is Zora
-SURELY BECAUSE ME AND SKYLARK REMEMBER EVERYTHING ZORA ALSO REMEMBERS AND KNOWS AND IS AWARE. IS IT A ZORUA OR A ZOROARK. IS IT IN THE ICELANDS OR IS IT HERE. THERE ARE TOO MANY VARIABLES
-worry about that later. When our lives are not immediately on the line . we have to go to deertrack heights again
-hi Mai :] hi munchlax :]
-oh yeah battle
-skylark. Blast that thang
-oh yeah the kricketune
-skylark. Blast that thang
-this is literally what it feels like to play a game and have access to the crazy overpowered dlc characters and destroy the early enemies. My new game plus swagger
-apparently the clans do have records of people who can communicate with pokemon so my instant conversation with munchlax is super weird but not unheard of
-please dont say its like a religious thing. please
-i mean we did make them wardens but it wasnt just because they could talk to pokemon. Like the lords are the ones who choose the wardens. Its not really our decision”
-ill take it.
-that explains why lian and sabi are wardens despite being like ten years old. I do not point this out because i should not know who they are
-mai says shes glad to see people in the galaxy team who walk alongside pokemon as equals. I realize that i actually have no idea if skylark even has a pokeball but it feels distinctly crazy fucked up for me to put her in one of those so i dont say anything about that either
-mai does not give me a flute or anything and adaman does not show up but wyrdeer does give me a weird look. Hi wyrdeer. Do you have something to say
-he doesnt. Aw man
-deertrack heights camp gets set up while we continue to the forest
-were not fighting kleavor today we just have to “study it” aka watch it tear the fuck out of some trees and agree that thats probably a danger to everyone and god
-lian is there YAY LIAN
-he agrees that kleavor is kind of scary but its not our business so we should stay away and let pearl clan handle it.
-rei and akari try to argue and lian challenges them to a battle
-skylark and i make significant eye contact. We probably cant afford to slip away and catch the scyther while this happens what if the children get attacked
-akari has her pikachu and rei has an eevee
-Of Course He Does.
-due to the nature of the world a 2v1 isnt against the rules and rei and akari win
-lian begrudgingly concedes
-i tell goomy hes cute. Because he is. He is baffled
-IRIDA APPEARS
-i really dont want to tell the leader of this clan what to do about her holy figures because thats fucked up but kleavor is straight up murderous and this is real life right now so i state very objectively that my jolteon and i will step in if things get out of hand
-irida does not like this.
-rei and akari add on that i just got here like yesterday and i fought the alpha bibarel and won like 4 hours after waking up on the beach
-well skylark did the fighting. Not me. I just cheered her on because she had a type advantage and the willpower to do anything
-irida contemplates this.
-well whatever we wanna do kleavor is still definitely too dangerous to approach as is so we need to retreat and figure out a way to subdue him enough that battle is even possible
-i restrain myself from giving the balms option outright because i dont want to have all the answers that would be suspicious. And what if thats not even how it works here. What if i look like an idiot. And my aim isnt even that good. I dont even want the answer to be balms honestly
-irida seems like she wants to ask me more questions but she dismisses us for now
-we return to laventons office for the night to brainstorm
-laventon comes up with the balms
-look professor…….. Im not really that good at throwing things ……………………. Catching the little guys on the beach was a fluke i was like 3 feet away from them
-rei and akari start coming up with a plan to throw the balms at kleavor while i keep it distracted
-That Does Not Sound Like A Good Idea At All Guys . What If It Just Attacks You Instead
-skylark brings up rage powder
-this instantly makes me irritated because my two planned team members would have bug and flying covered and thus catching a dustox or whatever would mean id have to rethink my team.
-can dustox or beautifly even learn rage powder
-nobody knows what that is.
-arcphone. Do you have google. Arceus show me Pokemon That Can Learn Rage Powder
-arceus actually pulls up a list of pokemon that can learn rage powder THANKS..? GOD..? wait is this the pokemondb page
-the answer is no pokemon in hisui can do that.
-we are so fucked
-ok wait what about follow me
-clefairy. Thats in the highlands i cant get that. Elekid. Thats in the icelands i cant get that. Magby. Thats in the coastlands i cant get that. Pachirisu. NOT ANOTHER FUCKING ELECTRIC TYPE
-ok. We need to be able to keep kleavors attention even when there are other people throwing things at it for this plan to work. Can we find a way to do this or do i need to take the balms myself
-i am more willing to just fucking whiff throws than risk other people in this bc there is a CHANCE in this life that i will just respawn and that is not true for everyone else
-i also might not respawn. But theres a chance
-getting a flying type to zip around the arena would only work if we could guarantee that kleavors rock-type moves wouldnt hit which would be hard.
-crobat is probably fast enough to avoid the attacks but theres no way for us to get a crobat that quickly
-drifloon or drifblim might be able to phase out of the way of the attacks and irritate kleavor into pursuing it above any humans in the arena. Ghost types have a habit of annoying the fuck out of people right
-drifloon and drifblim i CAN find easily. I just need to wait in the fieldlands until dark. Sky has a type advantage over them as flying types so if they attack me she can zap the fuck out of them
-they will still be weak to stone axe and stealth rock though. This plan is not a perfect one were gonna be flying by the seat of our pants here
-i wish i had a shellos or gastrodon but i dont think i can swim to the island in th
-IF I CATCH A DRIFBLIM. IT CAN CARRY ME ACROSS. THIS ISNT A VIDEO GAME WITH VIDEO GAME MECHANICS I CAN JUST HAVE MY BALLOON CARRY ME AND CATCH A SHELLOS
-we are catching a motherfucking drifblim.
-its late at night but going out now would be a bad idea so we agree to go out as normal tomorrow to research and prepare, then stay overnight so i can catch the ghost, and then battle kleavor the next day
-i go back home
-laying down on my cot with sky on my chest
-hey sky how do you think this would have gone if youd been the human and id been a pokemon. What do you think i would have ended up as
-skylark voice i dont fucking know nyarla. I probably would have talked kamado into letting me be in the survey corps or something. You walk through life like a wrecking ball i have no idea what i would do in your shoes because our circumstances would be immediately vastly different
-tahts fair.
-go to sleep
-i dream that im on a boat and all my friends are calling to me on the shore but i cant get back i just keep getting pulled out further to sea and there are cranberries everywhere and spiders clinging to me to get out of the water because suddenly i am not in a boat i am just standing in the water (real dream ive had once taht feels like it would be fitting like narratively)
DAY THREE
-wake up
-well that was unpleasant. Im going to ignore the panic from all my friends thinking im dead and also being covered in spiders. Its probably fine
-ariados isnt in hisui. There are no spiders in hisui. And even if there were i love galvantula. I am immune to bug type pokemon. and fear (MANTRA
-ok time to go to the fieldlands
-while waiting for nightfall i get roped into helping rei and akari do fieldwork. Which mostly consists of skylark beating up baby pokemon while the kids watch.
-riveting
-i genuinely debate wandering off to go explore and do something more interesting like shiny hunt but i dont want to let the kids get straight up killed when im supposed to be watching them because im not sure i believe in the power of their pikachu and eevee to protect them from any actual threats here. Like an alpha
-the only thing keeping me responsible in this world is responsibility. Who could have guessed
-i experience my midday sleepiness and skylark straight up electrocutes me to wake me up anime pikachu style
-THAT FUCKING HURT YOU DICKHEAD
-shouldnt i be dead from that. I guess humans must be more resilient in the pokemon world just like i theorized. Ill have to keep that in mind later
-the sun finally starts setting and the kids head back to deertrack camp while sky and i venture off to find a ghost
-im still kind of tired but god forbid i get electrocuted again. We persevere
-hey sky was volo supposed to show up yet
-skylark voice honestly ive kind of forgotten whats supposed to have happened at this point. And were only like 3 hours in gameplay wise
-maybe we should stop trying to stick to the game plot, i say, in the middle of a field at 10 pm about to catch a hot air balloon so i can use it to skip two areas of progress and get to an island to catch a little slug before the first boss
-didnt you just play this game, says skylark. Like you didnt even finish it. How do you already not remember what happens at the beginning
-skylark. I dont remember anything ever. You should know this better than anyone. I deleted my save with the limited edition items because i forgot they were limited edition and not dlc. I can forget anything
-we catch the drifblim. Ill come back and add however the fuck this happens later
-head back to the camp to sleep for like 3 hours
-SLEEP
DAY FOUR
-we wake up
-VOLO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-now that im thinking about it we were definitely supposed to battle him at the town gate before coming out here. Well its probably fine
-volo says some obscure shit about the vortex and how interesting it is that i fell from the sky. I debate fucking with him in an uncountable number of ways but decide not to because i like him. I may change my mind in the future
-we do not battle volo because were about to fight kleavor and we need all the strength we can get for it. Im sad because i want to see togepi but i do not say this because it would be insane for me to just know what pokemon he has without being told
-ok everyone before we go on our quest to beat the shit out of a local demigod i have to go on an island quest. Ill be back in like an hour
-drifblim time 😏
-ok my new friend can you please carry me over there. Please do not try to kill me or some crazy shit like that. I have faith in the power of friendship and the world of pokemon but i do not want that faith to be shattered
-drifblim carries me normal regular style because its so nice and pokemon is a world about being friends with cute monsters that have human intelligence and the power of gods
-shellos time 😏
-id honestly rather catch a gastrodon but sky would be at a disadvantage AND i dont have sky because drifblim couldnt carry us both and i didnt want to pokeball her so shes just chilling on the other shore and idk if i could have drifblim fight and win and catch a gastrodon like 20 minutes before a boss. So shellos it is. Also it would be kind of bullshit for me to just clear the first area with 3 fully evolved pokemon even if i am a grown ass man
-sneak through the grass. Sneaky style
-shellos so cute i love u shellos. I like the blue shellos better than pink shellos but i like pink gastrodon better than blue gastrodon so i do not mind this outcome
-BACKSTRIKE !!
-it catches yay :]
-the gastrodon has witnessed my capture.
-GRAB THE BALL AND RUN
-beautiful moment of drifblim carrying me back while water gets spewed at us. What a great morning to risk my life in battle against a bug made of rocks taller than me while soaking fucking wet
-i gaze at my team and briefly lament the fact that this means i dont get to have an epic sky battle against a gyarados because that sounded like so much fun
-i was literally born to be a pokemon trainer. Going on adventures and quests and battling powerful foes and catching pokemon. This is so awesome
-the fact that this is everything ive ever wanted and that eventually i will have to go back home where magic isnt real and me and sky and zora and everyone are trapped in one body and there are a million things keeping me from the life i want but i have responsibilities to the life i had before that i cant just throw away on a whim sets in.
-oh god
-I CANT START CRYING RIGHT BEFORE FIGHTING A BOSS THE TEENAGERS ARE GOING TO THINK IM A WUSS WHOS SCARED OF KLEAVOR. THEY DONT KNOW IM HAVING A FUCKING GENUINE LIFE CRISIS
-skylark and i resolve to go fight the gyarados anyway for fun later because it will probably be easy and exciting. Just because i cant stay forever doesnt mean i cant enjoy it while im here
-go back to the camp with all my little guys
-ok here we fucking go
-show up to the arena and remember that we have to argue the case for our plan to irida and lian. I forgot
-irida understandably vexed about this whole thing
-i state again for the record that im cool with just doing it all myself because its dangerous and i dont want anyone else to get hurt
-Rei and akari protest and say that they helped come up with the plan and want to help Kleavor in any way they can
-irida agrees with me that its too dangerous for straight up children. How old even is irida. Isnt she like 19. Thats not that much younger than me but we are both still like young adults in the grand scheme of things. Its kind of fucked up that we’re discussing who has the best chance to risk their life and survive here i guess the pokemon world is also kind of fucked up after all
-irida agrees to help us make the balms as long as SHE gets to come with me into the arena to throw the balms while i distract kleavor
-i am surprised by this but i agree because i believe in women
-also it feels way more right for her to have a direct hand in the whole thing considering shes like. The leader of a whole clan. And im just some dude who got here 2 days ago
-while rei akari and lian make the balms irida and i make a game plan
-irida is surprised when drifblim and shellos come out but then shes like actually from what i know about you idk why im shocked that you have a ghost.
-i can only guess what that means. But i think i understand the jist of it .
-game plan
-drifblim does everything in its power to draw the brunt of kleavors fire. It’ll fire off gusts to whip up dirt and do its weird teleportation bullshit so that kleavor cant hit it but will be frustrated enough to keep pursuing
-skylark, shellos and iridas glaceon will lay down support fire for drifblim in case kleavor loses interest or if kleavor knocks it out. If it stays irritated its less likely to notice me and irida
-irida and i will throw balms while the pokemon fight
-shellos says shes not sure she’ll be able to keep up with the fight since she moves so slowly. This is a good point
-she cant sit on skylarks back because shes not a ground type so her firing off electricity will hit shellos.
-drifblim cant take non-ghosts with him when he phases
-glaceon agrees to carry shellos. I am flooded with relief at the fact that i dont have to carry a slug on my head while doing all this shit
-i remember that irida might not know that i can understand pokemon . dont worry about it irida we can talk later
-i also remember the kleavor cheese strat and bring up the idea of ducking behind the tree if kleavor tries to go for us
-irida is unsure if kleavor will remember the importance of the giant tree in his rage, but he hasnt cut it down yet, so its possible he will avoid slicing straight through it to get to us and instead go around
-we will just have to hope so!
-thats  it . thats our plan
-ok. Time to fight kleavor.
-lets pretend drifblim is lvl 25 here since we start with stronger pokemon so it has mystical fire which i think is neutral against kleavor bc of rock subtype
-fight scenes are hard come back and figure the details out later
-someone should get injured here because its a big fight and that will raise tension
-i think the security corps uniform is probably thick for warmth and extra defense so maybe i just get like a really bad scratch on an arm or shoulder but not enough to be a super big deal
-drifblim is knocked out during the battle by a stone axe sorry drifblim i love you
-shellos actually pulling its weight with water pulse and mud bomb
-skylark would know thunderbolt at lvl 25 which is awesome. I forgot that eeveelutions have abysmal move pools except for literally 1 move they can use reliably we’re gonna have to do something about that
-glaceon launches literally 1 ice beam and then realizes it is also so ungodly fucked if it gets hit by a rock move so it focuses on dodging while shellos launches water pulses
-irida and i truly get a lifetime amount of cardio in
-EVENTUALLY WE WIN
-kleavor explodes with light and then hes back to normal yayyy yippeeeeeee
-we have a conversation. He couldnt talk when he was frenzied because that would have been weird ok just trust me on this
-he gives me the bug plate. It feels like bugs. Thats going in the bag forever thanks though
-well i am actively bleeding and drifblim got blasted but nobody died. Lets go home👍
-report back to commander kamado as mission success and then i immediately get sent to the medical wing bc oh my god nyarla your fucking arm dude (im ok) (its just bleeding a lot) (blood loss is a real problem be careful kids)
-i get patched up and then sent home because im not allowed to spend the night in the medical wing of the headquarters when i have an overprotective neon green jolteon who is fully willing to explode someones heart with electricity if she thinks theyre a threat
-thanks skylark. I love you too
-at least i know that when i get kicked out of jubilife and go face down volo i will have a beautiful dragon woman in the shape of a dog that cannot be stopped by beast, man or god
-at this point i remember the space-time distortions and that i can find jhoto sneasels in the fieldlands if theres a distortion
-WE HAVE TO GET A WEAVILE AT ALL COSTS. JAX MUST BE REAL
-oh i should nickname my pokemon. Skylark was a person so she doesnt count
-fall asleep trying to come up with names for drifblim and shellos
DAY FIVE
-wake up
-were all the nobles like… frenzied at once. Or does it happen one after the other. Literally i dont remember i feel like it was all at once other than arcanine
-while getting ready i drop my bag and my pokeballs fall out
-hm. Those two are modern pokeballs arent they.
-hold the fuck on
-Friend Ball is obviously skylarks.
-Cherish Ball. hm. I know exactly whos in there dont i
-ZORA YOU FUCKER YOUVE BEEN HERE THE WHOLE TIME?!
-AND YOU DIDNT SAY ANYTHING?????????
-zora brings up the very valid point that me walking around with a fucking alpha zoroark would not have been any less suspicious than if skylark had shown up as a garchomp
-thats fair.
-but also i absolutely for sure know you just didnt feel like helping.
-zora smiles

SQ-SQ-SQUIGGILY :D so happy to see you're back and that you're doing better, i hope the universe is nothing but kind to you in the month of the rainbow ♡♡
i watched the new demon slayer episode today and it made me think something and right after i saw you were back and i was like gasp :o so here's the thingy for you, i hope you can enjoy it a little bit <3
the infamous sanemi-tanjiro-dynamic in the modern au
quick timeline on tanjiro meeting the hashira: shinobu at 3 (him and kanao are in the same kindergarten) - giyuu at 6 (he starts going to urokodaki's dojo where giyuu trains) - kyojuro at 7 (nezuko befriends senjuro in kindergarten) - sanemi at 9 (he befriends genya in school)
so when sanemi first meets tanjiro he is fifteen years old and has every problem in the world which is a great mindset to meet him in (this is also pre-self-reflection-arc-sanemi we're talking about here so he's basically in crisis mode 24/7)
what happens is that he picks up genya after school and genya is standing there with another kid. and they're talking and seem like they're having a good time. which is weird because genya literally does not have friends.
the shinazugawa kids all struggle with being ostracized to some extent because of all the horrible gossip surrounding the drama with their dad and the bad rep sanemi usually gets which leads to his younger siblings being bullied more often than he'd like ("your big brother beat up my big brother so i'm gonna hate you forever")
so when he comes to pick up genya and sees this other kid there he's immediately alarmed because who is this kid? should i know this kid? has genya told me about this kid? why is he talking to genya? is he making fun of genya? are they laughing with each other or is he laughing at genya?
when he gets to them genya is immediately all excited and introduces sanemi to his new friend tanjiro kamado who smiles and bows and says "it's very nice to meet you!" and even tho he can't really put his finger on it sanemi immediately Does Not Like This Kid™
but then tanjiro's little sister comes running out the gate and jumps into his arms and oh. oh that's why.
because him and his siblings don't do this in public. that's what he drilled into them because if people see his innocent little baby siblings be super close to their rotten big brother? no thank you, sanemi would like them to have a shot at finding friends and being accepted. but just because it's his own policy doesn't mean he has to like it and when genya asks if he can go to tanjiro's place the next day sanemi says maybe and glares at tanjiro to make him stop smiling (he doesn't)
for the next two months or so tanjiro is all genya ever talks about and sanemi hates it hates it hates it
"tanjiro shared his lunch with me!" i'm sorry i didn't have time to make you something today. "tanjiro introduced me to a lot of other kids at the playground!" i'm sorry they all run away when i take you there. "tanjiro always protects his siblings when they get picked on at school!" i'm sorry i can't be there when they pick on you. "tanjiro always goes to visit his father's grave with his siblings!" we don't do that here. "tanjiro says it's important to talk about bad things that happened!" we don't do that here. "tanjiro says we should try to forgive so we can heal!" we don't do that here. "why not?" i don't know.
is sanemi aware that he's jealous of an elementary schooler? yes. and he does have the decency to feel bad about it and he's aware he should be happy for genya that he found a friend. because of course he's glad that genya befriended another kid but did it have to be this kid?
saving comes in the form of 17 year old tengen listening to sanemi vent about this nine year old and going "you're actually embarrassing yourself right now"
"excuse me?" - "you really wanna be pissed that genya found a friend?" - "that's not what this is." - "sure looks like it." - "fuck you, actually." - "dude, are you even hearing yourself? that kid is nine, you should be happy to see that someone whose situation is similar to yours is handling it so well at such a young age." - "oh because i didn't handle it well?" - "you're not listening to me." - "you're talking down on me!" - "you're not listening to me."
and tengen shuts this shit down SO FAST when he goes "have you ever stopped to think that genya might try to be more like kamado instead of wanting you to be more like kamado?" and sanemi's words get stuck in his throat because he does tend to forget that genya is an older brother too. and now that he thinks about it, maybe genya is a lot warmer and more attentive to their younger siblings ever since he started hanging out with that kamado kid.
"i know you're not asking me but if you ask me, that's the best kind of friend genya can have. think about it. kamado could be the shittiest older brother too and you don't want that man. because i'm a shitty older brother and if that was me hanging out with genya i would spoil him so fast. i would absolutely ruin that kid that you put so much effort into raising well, but i'm not hanging out with genya because you raised him well and he knows what a good role model looks like and how he can grow from having a goid role model. that kid is so much like you, shinazugawa. would be a real fucking shame if you didn't let him be himself too."
sanemi is a lot less hostile towards tanjiro after that and he even feels better when genya is with tanjiro because he knows that genya will be fine. and tanjiro might be a bit apprehensive towards him after he sees sanemi roughhouse with sumi, but it doesn't take him long to figure out that it's all out of love and if sanemi gets a small ego boost from hearing tanjiro whisper to genya that his older brother is really cool, no one needs to know.
that being said, giyuu brings this kid along way too often and people under 18 should be officially banned from their board game nights because if he has to sit through one more lecture from kanae about keeping his language pg 13 he's gonna do something very illegal
REY! :D I appreciate it! I wish I could say things have been sunny on Squiggily's street but if I'm being honest I've been burned a few times within the first two weeks of rainbow month akrearjkeajr But we're thriving!
AHH I LOVE THIS HOLY- Sanemi in crisis mode 24/7 bless him; and the siblings struggling to make friends due to gossip and Sanemi's actions- God my heart 😭
Sanemi going into mild panic mode like: "Who is THAT?" jajrekjrjae and instantly not liking Tanjiro is such a canon event arjeakjrkjaerjke "He glares at Tanjiro to make him stop smiling (he doesn't) KJEJKRJKeKJRJWJKRJK
Tengen coming through with his sage advice and mirror words- we love to see it! Him shutting down all of Sanemi's BS is so true and real and YES.
HIS WITTLE EGO BOOST! I can totally see Sanemi puffing up some with pride hearing that; he's grinning to himself cause 'hell yeah- I've made a good impression' but he also feels bad too cause he was so aggro towards him for his own selfish reasons in the beginning- grateful that Tanjiro didn't run at the first sight; god- who was cutting onions right now- he must have got the dish soap in his eyes somehow-
KRERJEJKRJKE Giyu bringing them all like "I got the cabbage patch kids" ajkrkjelarkjejr Kanae adores them even if she has to lecture Sanemi on language- the first few nights they've all learned new words they shouldn't be using. Sanemi eventually has to make code words to express what he's mad about eventually- no one knows what "For Flock's Sake!" means but Kanae's happy and Nezuko isn't casually dropping F bombs in class anymore so it all worked out.
This is gold; thank you so much for sharing Rey! I love this so much AHHH!!!

Those eyes..
Tumblr media
Pt. 1
.
.
.
“You're DeMarco, right?”
The young man asked in English, giving the foreign woman sitting on the bar stool a polite smile. His mother had taught him basic English, so he should be able to converse with her easily-
The woman was turned away from him, seeming uninterested in his intentions.
“I prefer 'Taiga', but yes.”
She replied in fluent Japanese, her accent sweetening her tone like sugar in tea.
His face turned beet red with embarrassment. He had assumed Taiga didn't speak Japanese solely because she looked foreign, how foolish of him!
Hoping she was unaware of the misunderstanding, he bowed respectfully.
“My name is Tanjiro Kamado! I heard you know a lot about demon biology.”
He stated formally, his hanafuda earrings swaying with the trees.
“What's it to you?” Taiga asked, tensing up with a bit of hostility. This was her usual reaction to people.
“Wait-” She paused.
“Lemme guess, you want information for that bug-brained bitch.”
Tanjiro was taken aback by this. Was she referring to Miss Kocho?
“God, does that wench know the meaning of ‘Not gonna happen’?”
Tanjiro didn't expect this to happen.. not at all..
“Tell that bitch to take a long walk off of a short pier.”
Taiga waved him off in an authoritative manner, the simple motion compelling him to leave..
No! He wouldn't give up! He needs to find out more, it could help Nezuko!
“Miss Kocho didn't send me, Miss DeMar- Taiga! I came here myself!”
Taiga's grip on her sake bottle tightened, the glass cracking under the pressure. How dare he say her name in the same sentence as that wenches.
No no NO! She wasn't going to lash out like he would! That's the last thing she was going to do! She should just ask him what he wanted in a calm manner..
“What the fuck do you want?”
Shit, that wasn't any better! Why couldn't she just talk like a normal person??
Oh who was she kidding? She hasn't been the same since that day.
Tanjiro gave her an almost understanding smile, Taiga reminded him a lot of Inosuke! They both were incredibly hostile, even when they didn't mean to be.
“I just wanted to see if you could take a look at my sister, her name is-”
“Nezuko.”
Taiga stated, taking a swig of sake before slowly standing up. Slowly turning to face him..

I find it great that a lot of the fandom looked at two out of time, out of place characters. Ingo and Protagonist, two characters with similar origins and have so much to relate to and thus fans agree that it is criminal and inexcusable that Gamefreak barely interact in Canon.
Everyone literally said "Screw Canon, These two are found family, train guy is dad/uncle/friend now
Love your PLA fics of that dynamic. I don't know if you're still open to prompts. You don't have to do this if you don't feel it but here's a prompt I got for you.
Explore Ingo's and Akari's relationship that develops post-game.
Many fics have them bond during the main plot but not much do post game events.
(You could touch events that occured preplot or during plot and explore how characters felt before they met)
Ohhhh interesting interesting interesting..... I think that's because most of us find it easiest to maneuver them around in-game events, and I don't think I've done too much post-gaming myself (easily distracted, started two other playthroughs)
I am definitely intrigued by this idea though. Do you mean they have their basic interaction in canon, but the further relationship develops post game? And what are we counting as post game- calming all the nobles & fighting palkia and dialga, but pre-volo? Or is Volo still part of the main playthrough?
Because I can see (rolling in the dad direction, as I do, in various directions) Ingo being distantly friendly with the protagonist (let's say Akari, as is my usual :,D sorry) He provides training at the dojo with Zisu, sees Akari there mostly, but doesn't much interact with her otherwise. I truly can't imagine him seeing her kicked out of jubilife and not doing anything- moral-wise, at least, I feel like he would say or do something. Even if he felt it wasn't his place as someone not of Jubilife, I think that he (and most of us, I would hope) would protest kicking a kid out of a safe area. It's possible he either wasn't there (returned to the Highlands for a time) or saw it happening, but didn't see Akari's face and assumed she was just going out for another mission. By the time he does hear about it, or understand what happened, and goes looking Akari has already been picked up by Volo. Ingo asks Irida if she knows where Akari can be found and Irida promises she's somewhere safe but can't say more. So until she returns, all Ingo can do is be satisfied that Akari is safe. He no longer trusts Jubilife residents as he did, especially Kamado, and spends less time there. When Akari returns having tamed the two gods, Ingo decides that maybe it's a little fucked up that this kid has done all this on her own. She's still just like 15 at most, right?
He attempts to strike up conversations at the dojo without being creepy, because some part of him is well aware how it might seem if someone of his age shows too much interest in a teenager (the very thought turns his stomach in disgust. He feels regretful that he couldn't help earlier.) but thankfully Akari likes to talk about the Pokedex, and Ingo is a walking Pokedex as well in a way. There's no one able to battle quite like him, which actually helps Akari with her research. She starts searching him out more because he never requires anything or expects anything of her, and they can talk about pokemon or item crafting or food easily. In fact, she starts going to him when she finds strange pokemon in space-time rifts because Ingo almost always finds them familiar and has something to say about them. Sometimes they'll run into each other in the highlands and Ingo will take her somewhere cool, or just take her to a neat little meadow and tell her to chill out because she's spiraling in anxiety over the work she still has to do. They end up bonding over little things and helping each other, with Ingo gradually becoming the first person Akari goes to when she has news because his enthusiasm is always genuine and a little extra but it's nice.
They bond further after Akari battles Volo and comes down from the summit looking absolutely wrecked and in tears. She's been betrayed and had what she thought was a dear, close friendship destroyed. Ingo doesn't pry as much as he wants to- he's upset that she's upset, and he wants to know what happened because this time they're friendly. He cares for her as family and wants to hurt whoever hurt her. But Akari comes first, and so he takes her to his home and lets her wallow in her misery until she can tell him what happened. He asks if she wants him to track Volo down and take care of him, but Akari denies it and says he doesn't need to act like her dad when he isn't. Which kind of makes Ingo stop and think bc... Well. He doesn't have kids. Has never had much interest in having kids. But he likes Akari, and he thinks that she could use a father figure, and he wouldnt mind filling those shoes... So he accepts her request, but he tells her then and there that he doesn't mind acting as her father (figure) because he does genuinely care for her and her well being. Which isn't something Akari was expecting and she kind of stammers... Declines... Takes off. And it hurts but Ingo lets her go. It's her decision to accept or not, and he won't force her one way or another. He appreciates their friendship too much.
Akari avoids him for a couple weeks, which sucks but Ingo stands by his decision to not push. He continues his work in the Highlands, continues training at the dojo, until one day he finds himself standing in front of the photo parlor. He's gotten a picture of himself before, but he was alone and it didn't feel right. It felt like something was missing. Someone should've been by his side, at his back. He's lost in thought until he feels the wristband of his coat get tugged on and looks to see Akari standing beside him, shifty. She apologizes for running off and avoiding him, explains that she had to think, and he accepts her apology. Says he understands, because it was something he'd gradually come to realize and that he shouldn't have sprung it on her. And Akari is clearly Not Of This Time because she gets quiet and then asks him, really fast and kind of quiet, that he meant like being her DAD and not her DADDY right, because she REALLY didn't see him like that and- and Ingo immediately says NO ABSOLUTELY NOT. Just... Dad. Acting as a caretaker. Keeping her safe. Being a place of refuge. Platonic father feelings ONLY. And Akari looks relieved, and Ingo is also relieved because he definitely doesn't see her that way and is glad she now understands that. He shudders at the thought, and she laughs at him, and Ingo pretends to glare at her and scold her but she settles in a little closer.
She looks at the building with all the photos and paintings and asks what he was up to. He explains that he was wondering if he should try getting another picture done, that he'd had one taken before but had needed to throw it away because looking at it made him feel uncomfortable. Akari asks if he thinks it has something to do with the man in white and ingo... nods, because now that she mentioned it, yes. Because the man in white is not here, and Ingo is alone. Apparently he says that out loud, and Akari's face flushes as she takes his hand and drags him inside. Because Ingo's not alone anymore, she says, because they're family. So until the man in white is back, she's going to be where he was. And they take the picture, and it's not exactly perfect... She doesn't fit like he thinks she should, and the pose is weird and not quite correct, but as he looks at the photo she handed him before going to grab some of her gear to take up to the Highlands - there's something she needs to check on, she said, and since Ingo has decided she's his responsibility obviously her DAD needs to go with her! - he feels... Better. Not fixed, but still... Complete. He's not alone. He has family now.
He tucks the photo into his coat for safe keeping, and when Akari returns to his side (she said she'd see him as her father, would she call him dad? Should he call her his daughter? They'll need to talk about it.) he smiles, and she smiles back, and for now everything will be okay. He is not part of an incomplete set anymore.
#Dad Ingo#PLA Akari#Warden Ingo#Akari#Pokemon Akari#Asked and answered#I hope this fits what the asker was looking for? I definitely have a few ideas running around in my head now for this.#Just drabbles... Just thoughts...#Maybe not complete fics but I definitely enjoy the thought workout#If post-volo is post game then I'm thinking Ingo finds Akari when she comes down from the peak...#Or he finds her on the peak bc Volo stormed off and she was terrified and exhausted#And once the worst was over she just passed out#Sneasler alerts him and he goes and picks her up. And they'd been on friendly terms before but for some reason#With an unconscious kid in his arms Ingo realizes just how young she is. And just how much she's been through.#And she hasn't been alone. Not really. But she also hasn't had really steady and solid support has she?#Her friends in jubilife had to walk on egg shells when she was just the Faller. They couldn't do anything but protest#To try and help her when she was banished. Even Irida and adaman could only do so much.#Ingo is in a gray area of Not Clan and Not Jubilife. He's low-key outside all rules isn't he?#So he decides he's going to step up. That's his friend. That's his kid now. Congratulations Akari you've been adopted#And Akari is confused at the sudden care coming from Ingo. He gives her snacks and pokeballs. Makes sure she's healthy.#She thinks it's just because he's concerned about her after finding her at the peak and her being unconscious for a while#(which is definitely part of it)#It's not until she gets scolded for doing something reckless and one of the security corps laughs#Says their mom used to do the same thing when they did something stupid. Would tell them off and then hug them.#That Akari realizes holy SHIT Ingo is a whole ass dad to her isn't he!!!#And then they have a conversation about found family and each other and Akari absolutely ends up teasing him#She's thankful ofc but buddy you really saw a kid in need and went 'is nobody going to take care of them???'#Didn't wait for an answer before saying 'fine I guess I'll do it myself'

If your not doing match-ups you don’t have to do this!
Hi Nanako! It’s Yume, I’d to request a match-up. (I’m going to give you my irl appearance) Here’s some info about me:
~ I have short-ish brown hair and I have brown eyes
~ I have white skin (if you didn’t see my posts that show my hand or so)
~ I’m usually in oversized hoodies because I love them
~ I go by ‘Phi’ (I know my name is gonna get exposed or at least figured out)
~ I love hugs and cuddles
~ I like read, listen to music, and draw sometimes
~ My personality when I’m around people I don’t know; I’m really quiet and I only talk when I’m spoken to and I feel weird when I’m talking to someone I barely know
~ My personality when I’m around people I know/my friends; I’m really talkative and more happier
~ I like sleeping, playing with my sister, my plushies, and anything thing else that makes me happy and comfortable
~ I dislike loud noises, people against the LGBT community, racist and/or sexist people, getting up in the morning at an early time (but I don’t complain about it)
I think that’s everything I can put about me.
Also, I don’t care about who I get matched-up with, I just wanted to know who you would match me up with.
Have the nice day, Nanako! 💖💘💕💝💗💖💗💖💕💞💖💖
Eventide
Tumblr media
I match you with you with Nezuko Kamado!
Tumblr media
•The thing that did it for me, is you saying you love hugs & cuddles 🥺
•Nezuko loves showing affection to her loved ones and has no qualms submerging them with hugs
•Anytime you’re feeling down or really just minding your own business, she’s just jump on you and cuddle you, she’s a real cuddle monster
•Ahh nezuko would have no problem getting you to come out of your shell
•I assume you’d meet Tanjiro first, who’d then introduce you to Nezuko once he’s gotten comfortable with you
•Nezuko would pretty much rely on her brother’s opinions abt you to come up with her own opinions on you and lucky for you, Tanjiro seems to like you!!
•She would be pretty stiff at first, not really knowing how to approach you since you seem pretty timid and she doesn’t rlly understand how to get you to talk 😭
•In all honesty, it’d be after you’ve began opening up to Tanjiro that she’d be willing to spend more time around you
•You give off this super sweet and peaceful and familiar aura, one that Nezuko hasn’t felt in such a long time she can’t help being drawn to you
•Tanjiro definitely notices her being more comfortable around you and everytime he sees you giving her headpats, or her hugging you he dies a little of cuteness
•Most of the time spent with her is you ranting/ talking while occasionally utters little ‘mm’ or ‘hmp’
•You like sleeping? Nezuko too! you both take the longest fucking naps together and sometimes ppl have to poke you both to see if you’re alive she just rlly loves snuggling up to you
•See, Nezuko would probably have some level of experience with sewing dolls for her younger siblings, and she might just do that for you if she picks up on your penchant for plushies!! She might make ones that look like you and her
•She’s so in awe everytime you draw, she just stays by your side and stares at the paper with wide eyes (she’s pretty clumsy at it herself)
•She’d probs get angry at Zenitsu for being too loud if it bothers you and i cannot tell you how jealous that boy is of you 💀
•Also, don’t be surprised if you wake up covered in flowers braided in your hair/ flower crowns, she found out you look so pretty in them 🥺

Yesterday was pretty busy. I finally got a reply letter back from Ingo, confirming that he would go to lake acuity with me. I took a few detours, finally finding that lost survey corps guy by the waterfall and doing some mushrooming with a swinub (WHERE THE FUCK DID THAT LEVEL 50 SNOVER WITH A WOOD HAMMER EVEN COME FROM?!), but I eventually got around to scaling the cliff with Sneasler.
I met up with Ingo at the lake, and of course that sleazeball Volo was also there. Why is that fuck so interested in this shit? I know he has a thing about ancient ruins and legends, but come on.
Regardless, me and Ingo entered the newly formed cave, Volo staying outside.
Standing in wait was a zoroark, more fearsome than what Ingo expected. No big deal for me though. Managed to half its health, whiddle it down to a shred with paralysis, and caught it with a leaden ball. That pokemon was no match for my team.
Soon enough, the being of knowledge appeared before us, and offered my my third and final trial. A post from charles that recently got uncovered had expressed worry about the question being changed, but even not knowing what it would be, it was easier than expected. Just had to recite how many eyes a few different pokemon had in given order. I nailed it first try. I usually don't consider myself the smart one in the family, but I guess I know my shit when it comes to pokemon. Regardless, Uxie said I passed the trial, and offered up a claw.
I then asked about restoring Ingo's memories. Uxie told me that it wouldn't be necessary, as the spark of memory he got a few months ago from that time we had a night on the town during that festival should be enough to jog it further (I told him my last name and apparently it was close enough to his brother's name that he remembered something).
With that, we respectfully left the cavern, back into the eerie-ass light of the timeless outside. I'm not sure why my (currently invisible) horns aren't reacting heavily (just enough to get bothered slightly). I can only guess its because I'm not where the epicenter ought to be.
After that, we met up with Volo again, who pretty much dragged us all the way to those ruins in the mirelands.
Lady Cogita showed up there as we looked at one of those legendary pokemon murals. She wasn't sure how the chain would be fashioned, but soon enough the lake guardians showed up to make it work out. They used this weirdass technique that turned the components into what looked like an oversized red necklace. The chain said to bind the world… I need to make sure this doesn't get anywhere near Volo. I'm almost certain he wants to get his hands on it.
Regardless, staying out of reach, I snuck back into Jubilife with Ingo and ran into that kid and the professor. Turns out, Kamado is already out of town and those that hung back are glad to see I'm safe and sound. I told Cyllene about my quest to get the red chain and she approved, reinstating my rank and everything. She played her usual cool and collected but actually cares bit.
So then I got to preparing, took a nap on my old futon pad wiped the floor of some loser's lucario with one strong aura sphere from Alpha Gardevoir, and then went to help someone with finding a good spot for some chimecho that stuck to the eaves of their house. I got dragged off to the mountain when the team spotted me running around though.
When we got to the upper campsite, of course, Volo was there. He said some line about me being his favorite customer and it just did not sit right with me at all. Honestly it almost reminded me of a certain someone… I just want to kick his ass down this mountain.
and yeah, my horns are starting to react more now that I'm up here. Not as much as when I faced Dialga in the present, but at least more than elsewhere

If they have their future diaries to fall back on, then MOST of them have no problem surviving. But I imagine Third/Takao Hiyama still dies even with "DEAD END" warnings to alert him to danger, because his ineptitude at staying alive is basically a recurring gag by now (sorry, @yomotsu-hirasaka). And Karyuudo/10th also doesn't make it; I'm not confident that his ability to control/see the future for his dogs is gonna get him very far amongst the infected and the clickers and all that. :P
Tsubaki might be in danger. She can see whatever her cultists/followers see, but she can't immediately communicate with them or tell them where to run/hide.
Minene is especially lucking out with her "Escape Diary"; she'll always know how to give infected and/or highwaymen the slip. VERY advantageous in this scenario.
Akise doesn't need a diary, though. One chapter title in the manga calls him "The Most Powerful of the Non-Diary Users" because of his intelligence, and... yeah, he'll be totally fine. He's too observant and smart to get his ass cordycep'd.
As for other non-diary users? Kousaka and Mao are probably screwed; too dumb and too blinded by their sole fixation, respectively. Hinata might be clever/athletic enough to survive, but it's a toss-up.
ALTERNATIVELY: If the 12 Diary Holders DON'T get to bring their diaries/associated powers into the world of "The Last of Us"? Well. That changes quite a few things.
Yuki/1st - Would be pretty helpless alone but is kept alive by Yuno. Possibly at the expense of his own freedom.
Yuno/2nd - Lives for sure. Super-observant, incredibly intelligent, physically fit... even her fixation on Yuki makes for little distraction from her ingenuity. If anything, it seems to HEIGHTEN her survival instincts.
Takao/3rd - Even more fucked than usual.
Keigo/4th - He's a detective, and he can be quite clever/manipulative, but he doesn't even seem to be as good at detective work as someone half his age (Akise), and he's not especially physical. He's got like 50/50 odds in about any encounter.
Reisuke/5th - Exceedingly smart kid who is also pretty good at making his way on his own and personally interested in proving his self-sufficiency at any cost. Yeah, he'll probably be fine. He might overestimate himself from time to time, though. There's a chance he doesn't make it, but things are in his favor.
Tsubaki/6th - Cult initially tries to isolate, but people still have to go out of the compound for resources eventually. Once even one person brings a developing infection back to the compound, Tsubaki is doomed. Especially given that she's nearly as blind as 12th without any of the advantages he's developed. :P
Ai and Marco/7th - Without either their own diaries OR their "apprentice" diaries from Kamado, I don't think they'll have the best survival instincts. In fact, Marco's own compassion is likely to be his undoing. :(
Kamado/8th - Sorry girl, but being a sweet lady with a huge melon who runs an orphanage is good for diddly squat when the cordyceps spores are about. Fucked.
Minene/9th - Since childhood, Minene has been resourceful about survival resources and staying hidden even in the midst of all-out warzones. She was basically forged for this shit. She's gonna THRIVE, baby, even without that "Escape Diary." And with so many people losing faith in god, she's gonna lose her primary drive to terrorize and bomb shit, too! I can see her becoming a successful member of the Fireflies.
Karyuudo/10th - See what I previously said about Third. :P
Bacchus/Balks/11th - Who is this guy without his diary abilities, really? A manipulative, lying politician? The post-apocalyptic hordes of humanity will only put up with his bullshit for so long before he gets beaten to death with baseball bats. :P
Yomotsu/12th - His other senses being so acute (either due to or in spite of his blindness) is actually gonna help him a lot in this scenario. Listening close and being quiet are key in the games, after all. If he can resist the urge to suddenly do a super sentai pose/yell, he's in good shape. But uh... he might just think he's a superhero in a zombie AU and fuck everything up. Tough call.
would mn cast survive last of us be real

just making dinner, minding my own business when suddenly my brain is like ‘hahaha AU of an AU’.
anyways zoroark possession AU where all the same background still applies BUT it’s also a modern AU where all the Hisui characters live in modern day and all the members of the Pearl Clan are also Zoroark (or Zorua, in Lian’s case). They were all cast out of their human families for one reason another, and decided to bond together to survive. They left Sinnoh for the safety of Nimbasa years ago and so of course Ingo becomes deeply connected to them, eventually embraced as a member in his own right. Akari/Dawn is also a Zorua in this AU, though her mother embraced her daughter anyways and decided to move to Unova to make a fresh start after a close call. She frequents the Battle Subway as a challenger.
On the other side of things, Kamado is Rowan’s much younger brother who has always been overshadowed by him, and strives to surpass him someday. This leads to him researching the legend around the ancient Hisuian Zoroark- namely the folklore that they’ve continued to survive in secret by taking human hosts. And then he happens to stumble across rumors of the Pearl Clan...
One day, Irida doesn’t make it back after going out to run some routine errands. They all search for her, and eventually they make contact with a very nervous Rei, who tells them the professor that he works for works for a man (Kamado) who had captured Irida, but he doesn’t think what Kamado is doing is right, so he basically sells out the location of the lab to the Pearl Clan even though he can’t do much more beyond that (other than try and be a decent human being to the trying to hold it together but still scared Irida. she appreciates it).
Unfortunately, they don’t get to her before Kamado makes his discovery public, which makes the Pearl Clan rescuing Irida- with Ingo spearheading the rescue effort- even more of a news sensation. Of course, they all hide their identities behind Zoroark masks and concealing clothing, but now that the news is out there, they can’t take it back...
Meanwhile, Emmet and Elesa can’t help but wonder where Ingo disappears to every now and then.

Hold on , if muzan was pregnant , then how the fuck would baby Y/N was adopted by the Kamado family?
Since a lot of you liked the "Muzan being preggers with reader" idea so much, that's gonna be the official route we're taking.
So, after Muzan gave birth to you, he was then encountered by our bad boy Yoriichi Tsugikuni, the demon slayer who makes Muzan tremble in his boots now and gave him ptsd.
Anyways, after Yoriichi beat the shit out of him, Muzan was forced to leave you behind to save himself. Yoriichi then found you lying in a blanket, and he instantly knew you were Muzan's child. He was about to kill you, but the more he looked at you, the more... hesitant he became. Perhaps it was because of how pure and innocent you looked, the prettiest baby he'd ever seen, or maybe it was because you were a half demon and had some sort of power that made everyone around you a yandere.
So, Yorrichi chooses not to kill you and takes you back to his home. He tried raising you, but soon found it both difficult and dangerous because of his line of work at the Demon Slayer corps. That's when Yoriichi decides to give you to Tanjuro Kamado, and that's how you ended up in the Kamado Clan.
Of course, Yoriichi made sure to tell Tanjuro that you were a demon hybrid, but Tanjuro and his wife had already taken a liking to you and had no thoughts of ever giving you away.
Since you were a half demon, you were obviously different from other kids. You aged at way slower pace, and like demons, you couldn't stay in the sun without withering away. So, Yoriichi had the bright idea to feed and inject you with small quantities of blue spider lilies, so that you could gain immunity against the sun. Which is why, Muzan was alarmed when he finally found you and you smelled like blue lilies all the time.
For the few years Yoriichi tried raising you on his own, he felt warm and... complete. Losing his wife and unborn child, you were really the perfect piece in his life. And since you were a demon hybrid, he was required to pay special attention to you. And he loved to dote on you. Quiet as he was, he was a huge worry wort when it came to you. For real, there's a couple of wrinkles on his forehead because of you. You were super fast and strong as a demon hybrid, which is why Yorrichi and the Kamado Clan often mixed heavy sleep inducing herbs to suppress your demon abilities and knock you out.
Even after giving you away to Kamado Clan, Yoriichi made sure to drop in to check on you whenever he could, usually after missions. He missed you a lot, and you were the last thing on his mind before he died.

we all know ingos into tiddy, but would he ever be into tiddy fucking?
yes. after some convincing because he thinks it sounds uncomfortable
if this was a proposition it worked, lol
also PLA ingo because... he's on my mind.
cw: 18+ content, AFAB reader with breasts, tit fucking
“This feels morally abject,” were the words from the Warden's mouth as you stripped off your kimono top. It was a long day for you both, Kamado demanding too many hours of training the Security Corps without a break from Ingo, while you had been attacked by one too many Stunky in the mirelands. Needless to say, you both had an exhaustive bath in which you noticed where the man's eyes landed. It was natural, you supposed. Ingo struck you as a tit man, and you wouldn't pretend to be any better than him. Your eyes watched as the muscles of his back flexed when he poured a cup of hot water down it. The hardened look from his pale skin being littered with scars often caught your imagination on just what he could do to you if he so wanted to.
Though, he also seemed to have this softer, gentler side that required a velvet touch and tender words. Which is how you got those black slacks off him to leave his heavy and aroused cock bare for your eyes to eat up. Veins pulsed along the length, while untrimmed, fluffy hair relaxed at the base and ran up to his naval. You licked your lips. This man was a sight to behold. “Do you think you won't enjoy it?” you asked him with a tilt of your head, feeling your wetness spread throughout your underwear. He hummed with his deeper voice. Those beautiful eyes closed while he contemplated just what he wanted. “I am…” he spoke hesitantly, “Willing to give this a try, dearest,” You grinned. He was an amazing partner.
Oil that you packed for numerous reasons was liberally poured into your hand. The low candlelight of the room gave it a strange shine as you reached out to pump his cock a few times. Groans left him from the odd sensation with a familiar feeling. You had already thoroughly coated the length in the impromptu lubricant, but you just loved to watch as his face flustered red while his lips parted. The silver goatee complimenting his ageing features gorgeously. Pulling your hand away, you grinned the tear of precum that escaped his tip. He felt good. The oil was rubbed across your chest, coating your breasts completely as to not causing any chafing or discomfort for him. Hurting him was the last thing you would ever wish to do to him.
“You ready?” you asked while parting his legs. The futon was likely not the best place for this, but it wasn't like a sitting chair was around in a small mountain cabin. He nodded, eyes staring intently between his legs. You grasped your tits and carefully pressed them around his cock. It was a strange feeling for you, you would admit. However, Ingo's sharp breath and quickly stilled bucking of his hips told you how he felt. Good. That's what you wanted. You began to squeeze and move your breasts up and down his length. Ingo tried to keep himself calm, but whines and groans escaped his throat beautifully.
Soon enough, he seemed to give into his desires and thrust alongside your movements, creating a pretty steady rhythm with you. His tip poked out in between your tits while his balls occasionally slapped against them. You felt hot. His eyes squeezed closed as he became lost in the pleasure. You moved faster, and he let a wonderfully loud whine. It was impossible to resist his noises. Pressing tighter around the cock, you felt it twitch a few times before he sprayed cum all across your chest. You were stunned for a moment; the sheer amount given being a bit unexpected.
Ingo crashed against the sheets, taking deep, unsteady breaths. You ran a finger through the cum and brought it between your lips. Sweet? What had he been eating? Usually, it was a bit bitter. “My love!” he shot up after regaining himself, “I am ever so sorry for this.” You laughed. His face was genuinely twisted in mortification. “Ingoooo,” you whined, “I don't care. Did you feel good?” He nodded quietly, cheeks a deep red from the embarrassment of cumming as he did. “Don't act like this,” you cooed, “Mmm, why don't you make it up to me? Let me sit on your face.”
He immediately perked up at that and laid down flat. His nature to serve never ceased to amaze you.

Step Not Onto A Burnt Bridge
[Crossposted on AO3]
Word Count: 4211
Characters: Rei/Akari (Player Character — Gender Neutral Pronouns but uses name Rei), Braviary, Ingo, Sneasler, Mentions
Rating: Teen and Up (Swearing), Gen
Tags: I wrote this in one go lmao, NOT ship I’ll fucking kill you, Spoilers, not for postgame but for main story, Introspection, Anxiety, Trauma, Talking Through Trauma, Hurt/Comfort, some headcanons, Kamado negative, lmao
Warnings: Brief moments of panic, nondescriptive
Summary: In the aftermath of the events at the Temple of Sinnoh, the twin gods are quelled, and things seem to be relatively normal again.
But should things truly go back to normal? Can one just pretend it never happened?
Or, in which a straw breaks the Camerupt’s back.
Deep breaths. In, out. In, out. In, out.
That’s it, Rei. Don’t take it to heart. In, out. Calm. Smile. Nod.
“Thank you, Rei. I sure am glad you popped out of the sky! You’re such a help around here,” the woman smiled at them, ruffling their hair.
Their chest tightened, and they forced out a laugh, nodding along with her. In, out. In, out. Stay positive. Put on a brave face.
Rei wasn’t sure what, exactly, they’d said to end the conversation. The woman seemed happy enough, though, so they turned away and kept a small smile fixed to their face.
Careful, now. One step, two, three, four. One after the other. Not too fast, not running, don’t run from them. Walk with purpose, too slow and they’ll request something. Remember to smile. You’re here because of Kamado’s grace. Be grateful.
A wave to Ress, a smile, a noncommittal answer. He seemed to accept it. In, out. In, out. No outbreaks. This is not the last time you will walk through this gate. A reach for the flute. A tune.
Wind.
— x — x —
Braviary didn’t know what to think.
He was called upon frequently, the Celestica Flute’s unique melody for him becoming commonplace, even in his distorted perception of time. This instance should have been no different. Instead, when he alighted on the ground with his back already inclined for his charge to clamber on to, he paused.
They… did not look their normal self. He couldn’t quite place it. Perhaps it was the Steel-y nature in which they walked, or the not-quite-there look on their face. They paused, and for a moment, Braviary wasn’t sure if they’d get on. Just to be sure, he nudged them with his head – gentle, but insistent. The jolt they let out made his eyes narrow, but he held back judgment, at least for now.
Obediently, but slowly, they slid a leg over his back, and then settled with their arms around his neck. If their fingers dug into his feathers more than usual, Braviary would pretend not to notice.
A few beats passed with Braviary not taking off, waiting for them to make a request. Usually, even if they weren’t talkative, they had a series of taps or tugs they’d perform in order to tell him where to go. No such command nor touch followed. Instead, static, rhythmic breathing ruffled his feathers ever-so-faintly.
Ah. Braviary was not well equipped for this, was he? Sabi rarely had moments like this, strange as she was. How does one deal with an upset child?
He wracked his mind and produced… absolutely nothing.
Sneasler had kids, didn’t she? Ursaluna, as well. Although, Ursaluna lived in the Mirelands, and that’s where a Settlement was, wasn’t it? If the child didn’t want to be in the Village, perhaps the Mirelands, and by extension, the Icelands, weren’t the best choices. Braviary took flight, feeling as if he’d lingered by the Village too long.
At random, the Lord picked a direction and flew towards it. Possibly the Fieldlands? No, that was awfully close to the Village. It was hardly half an hour’s flight, at best. That left the Coastlands and the Highlands… well, if Sneasler was in the Highlands, perhaps it’d be best to chart his course there. Maybe she’d know how to communicate with them. Basculegion was remiss when it came to humans, in most cases. At least the Lady liked people.
A slight angle to his wings, and he turned towards the Highlands. Unlike most of his flights, though, his mind stayed on his passenger.
Rei was a kind kid, not demanding, and they even gave him cake treats on rare occasions. They’d fended off both Sinnohs with relative ease, gone toe to toe with rampaging Lords, and almost filled that book of theirs. What had rattled them so? What had brought them to him looking much like a freshly evolved Steelix, hardly holding it together long enough for him to take to the skies?
As their grip tightened in his feathers and their form shook against his back, he felt lost, perhaps for the first time in decades.
— x — x —
Sneasler stiffened marginally next to Ingo, who was dutifully relighting the torches in Wayward Cave. A glance in her direction awarded no response, so he lit the final torch before returning to her side.
“Lady Sneasler?” Ingo started, his natural lack of volume control startling her from her zoned-out state. He lowered his voice, if only a bit, but the clear confusion in it spoke volumes. “What’s the matter? Has something switched tracks?”
She grunted, then gestured towards the exit. Her claws clacked together once, followed by two more rapid clacks. They’d developed a means of understanding one another – or, rather, for Ingo to understand her better. Sneasler herself had picked up on his metaphors quite quickly. “‘Leave, and I’ll take you to it?’” he double checked, just in case, and she grunted again.
By the time they’d exited, she looked slightly more agitated, and rather than waiting for him to get on her back or simply walk , she tossed him over her shoulder and made for the Stonetooth Rows. Something had her alarmed, and she wanted him along for it? This was certainly abnormal. Lady Sneasler wasn’t as agitated as when Lord Electrode had been frenzied, nor as when she first wanted him to meet her kits, but it certainly was up there. Just what had happened?
Despite his confusion, Ingo did not protest nor squirm. When his Lady was like this, she was single-minded – that, and he trusted her. If she could help it, harm would not come his way. With the speed of both familiarity and perceived necessity, they’d gotten to the Stonetooth Rows in little more than twenty minutes, thirty one seconds. She looked back and forth across the peaks, looking for something, he was sure. She’d not put him down, though, so he was privy to a view of the Rows upside-down.
Before he realized it, she’d found her target and was running towards it – them? He was pretty sure there were two colors on the brown of the earth. Ingo was unceremoniously set on the ground, and he looked to Sneasler. Even if he wasn’t expressive, she was quite adept at understanding his minute facial changes.
Only his brother had been able to do that, previously.
He shook the thought off quickly. As valuable as the scraps of memory were, something far more pressing was at hand. The Lady held up a claw, then clacked them once. No danger. Quiet.
With little else to do, he kept his mouth shut. Ingo watched her carefully as she approached a Braviary with… a person? Yes, undoubtedly. It wasn’t abnormal to see people riding pokemon, but it was something usually only done by the Wardens. No bracelet adorned their wrist, one of the only things he could see, so that eliminated the possibility. Strange.
Sneasler and the Braviary – was that Lord Braviary? – spoke lowly, his Lady’s frown growing deeper with each passing minute. She kept glancing at the bundle on Braviary’s back, making Ingo divert his attention to them. They seemed to be shaking, if slightly, and made no move to remove themself from the bird’s back. As Ingo thought about it, the bundle did look somewhat familiar… at least, the sleeves did. It wasn’t a Galaxy uniform, nor a Clan uniform, which meant…
On Braviary’s back, Rei hardly said a word as Sneasler helped them down, mindful of her clawtips. Their eyes were downcast, even as they gave Braviary an appreciative stroke. Sneasler led them over to him, as Braviary lingered for one long moment. His gaze was fierce, full of care and rage alike, watching Rei walk like a soldier to their grave. He met Ingo’s eyes, and despite the feeling of crawling Ingo felt at the eye contact, he dared not look away.
Take care of them. Braviary told him, taking flight at last. I will not tolerate any harm coming upon my charge, regardless of the perpetrator.
When the Lord was far enough away, Ingo looked back to Rei, who was now close to the stone on which he sat. Sneasler’s frown had not abated, but she sat them down next to him. Their limbs moved like a Shuppet, or perhaps a Golett – not quite acting of their own accord, instead puppeted by another force. A twinge of concern wormed itself into his chest.
He’d never seen Rei like this. They’d always seemed positive, eager to battle, eager to help, eager to connect with those they met and make friends. They had even managed to befriend Ingo, who had kept to himself beyond Melli, Irida, and Sneasler, the latter being the only one he contacted with relative frequency. Now, they were quiet, hardly responding to his Lady’s gentle prodding.
Ingo looked to his Lady, gesturing softly to get her attention but not startle Rei. She came closer to him, and he tried his hardest to speak quietly (which, in reality, probably was a normal or close-to-normal tone of voice). “Let me try. Emmet had days like this.”
Neither of them commented on the name. It wasn’t the time, nor the place.
“Hey, Rei?” Ingo knelt next to them, and then sat. The two would be there for awhile, he knew. “Do you want to talk? You can shake your head, if you want.”
A period of silence followed, where Rei stared at his shoes and he stared at their hair. A few times, they’d open their mouth, only to close it again. A similar aborted movement would sometimes follow with their head, as if they wanted to shake it, but couldn’t decide whether to or not. That was okay. There was no train to delay here, no course to reroute. It was just Rei and Ingo, with Sneasler keeping close watch nearby.
Finally, they cracked out a “yes,” before rubbing their hands. It seemed to be a nervous tic. Ingo couldn’t blame them. “I… it’ll take awhile. I don’t know where to start, and, and.” A frustrated sigh escaped them, seemingly involuntarily. “I’m having trouble with my words.”
“That’s okay, dear passenger.” Ingo nodded slightly, “the two of us have no set destination at the present moment. It’s just us and Lady Sneasler. We have as much time as we need.”
“Okay. … Okay.” The kid nodded, and Sneasler looked relieved. For a moment there, neither of them had thought they’d get a response.
“Let’s proceed to Lady Sneasler and I’s dwelling. It’s not far, and it’s out of the way. It’s a fine stop here, but something tells me there’s inclement weather.”
Instead of voicing their response, Rei just gave another nod.
— x — x —
The dwelling was rather nice, Rei thought.
It was in a decently sized cave and tunnel system, seemingly dug out by Sneasler herself, lit by small torches. The area Ingo and Sneasler led them to was cozy, with a pile of various leaves and blankets alike serving as Sneasler’s bed and a few more cushions and blankets littered around for Ingo. It was on one such cushion Rei sat. It was surprisingly warm, as well. Cozy , their mind supplied.
“I will not press you,” Ingo told them, and they could tell he was putting in an effort to lower his volume for them. They appreciated it, despite normally the shouts being easy to handle. Something about the day felt wrong, and too much stimulus spelled trouble. On some level, the man seemed to understand that and adjust accordingly. “It is in your own time. Sneasler may come and go, depending on the timeframe, but I have a considerable amount of resources here. Do not push yourself.”
Rei nodded, again, and felt almost as if their head was a toy bouncing to and fro. Their companion didn’t seem to mind.
They were unsure how much time had passed when they worked up the nerve to speak again. The cave was darker, but that could mean anything. “I didn’t mean anything to them,” they blurted, finally. Ingo started a bit, not expecting the break in the quiet, but turned to them attentively from his spot by the teapot. “I… when I arrived here, they didn’t trust me at all. Kamado-” their voice cracked at his name, “-and Cyllene took a risk allowing me in, probably without the town’s approval. I had to pass an exam, yeah, but it was simple. I feel like you’d understand how easy catching some baby pokemon is. But everyone there was suspicious of me. Even Kamado.”
Ingo gave them a long, neutral look. They appreciated the lack of pity in it. “I was similarly distrusted upon my arrival at this station,” he agreed.
Rei took a deep breath. “I… I wanted them to like me. I was alone, you know? Alone and an outsider. So when the townspeople started talking to me, and asking for help, I jumped at the chance. I thought, ‘hey, maybe if I help around and pull my weight, it’ll help my case.’” They let out a bitter laugh. “And I really thought it worked! For months I did stuff for the townspeople and helped quell the Nobles. Cyllene told me on my first day here that I could die out in the wilds. Them taking me in was a blessing, and I thought that blessing had borne fruit, that I belonged somewhere. The Clans seemed to like me, and I thought I’d made friends. Family, even.”
Another long pause. They could feel a burning behind their eyes and a lump in their throat, and while they knew logically that Ingo wouldn’t judge, a traitorous voice told them that he’d throw them out all the same. They felt a nudge to their hand, and they jerked back reflexively. Ingo jumped a little, as well, two cups of tea in his hands. “Sorry, sorry,” he spoke quickly and forgot to regulate his volume, but corrected himself just as fast. “Should’ve asked before. You weren’t responding, I… made tea?”
His clear awkwardness drew a choked laugh from Rei, and they accepted the cup, blowing on its contents before taking a sip. “Thank you.”
The two sat in silence for another undefined period, each drinking at their own pace. Ingo looked contemplative, or at least they thought so. He was hard to read when he wasn’t talking.
“I was blind.” Out of the corner of their eye, they could see Ingo glance up at them. His gaze returned to his cup, though, likely in effort to not stare or overwhelm them. “The requests, the friendliness, all of it. It wasn’t acceptance.” Rei took a deep breath. “They were just using me. Making the most out of the situation. They never wanted me there. It didn’t matter that I ate with them, talked with them, worked with them, nothing. None of it mattered. What I had thought was something was really just wishful thinking.”
They bit their hand to stop the choked sob that tried to force itself from their throat and squeezed their eyes shut. They couldn’t show weakness. Not where others could see. Not now, not now, not now. In, out, in, out, inoutinoutinout.
“Rei? Rei.” Ingo’s voice broke through their mantra. “Hey, Rei. I’m going to touch you, okay? I need you to breathe.” They glanced up, and Ingo rested a hand on their shoulder. “Breathe with me, okay? In, one, two, three, four. Hold, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven. Out, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. Okay? Let’s do it again.”
They weren’t sure how long the two of them sat and counted, but when they felt less like they’d run a marathon in heels, the two had returned to sitting side by side. “I don’t want you to force yourself,” Ingo began, quieter than they’d heard him be yet. “I want you to be able to talk about it, but don’t work yourself into a panic attack trying to get it all out at once, okay? It’s ultimately up to you what you say and what you don’t. I’m just here to listen.”
Rei rubbed their hands before quietly agreeing. They accepted his offer for more tea, if only to have something to hold on to while they gathered their thoughts. By the time the tea (bitter, but refreshing. Rei idly thought to themself that they must have not had tea, Before ) was ready, they’d somewhat composed themself. “I still want to talk,” they said resolutely, “if I don’t say it now, I never will.”
Ingo seemed to accept that, reclaiming his seat nearby them. “So long as you take breaks when you need them,” he acquiesced.
“I will.” They confirmed, and continued their story, “I, well. The sky went red. And I was exiled.” Ingo’s eyes turned sad, at that. They knew he had a similar experience, if devoid of the details. “When I was leaving… Kamado said he’d known not to trust me, and that I only wasn’t in chains because of my service. That I caused it.” That got a wince out of their companion. “The townspeople agreed. They said they’d never trusted me, I was always an outsider, I should never have been admitted. After everything I’d done, all the friendships I’d thought I’d made, all of it , gone in minutes.
“I was bitter. I was angry. But most of all… I was hurt. I had nowhere to go. I sought out the Diamond and Pearl clans, but they couldn’t help me. Not explicitly, at least, lest Kamado start a war with them over it.” The vitriol in their words left unhindered, at last. It had festered for far too long. “I wasn’t angry with Adaman, nor with Irida. They have people to care for. They came to help me later. But Kamado . He… he represents all of it, to me. I can’t look at him the same way. I can hardly look at him at all.”
Ingo nodded, understanding borne of similar experiences weighing upon his shoulders. “I… well, I’m sure you know I, too, was derailed from my typical Warden’s tracks. It wasn’t as cruel, for me, as I never was close with those of Jubilife. But seeing the way they treated someone kind enough to help strangers in the first place, let alone after they’d been driven from house and home.
“I came back from visiting Lady Sneasler to the red sky. By the time I realized what the town had done, I was en route to the Training Grounds. The way Zisu had looked at me despite our many days training together… it is not one I’ll soon forget.” Ingo looked down at his tea, idly swishing the liquid back and forth in the mug. “I tried the Pearl Settlement, as well, but they could not accept me. They directed me to Lady Sneasler. Lady Irida was furious, she wanted to barge into the Team’s headquarters and take him on herself, but… I am one man. One part of a small whole… hardly a part at all, as an outsider. Even some of the Clan felt indifferent about my exclusion. So… I had Lady Sneasler. Lady Irida visited me, but I laid low here. It… wasn’t too different from before, really. All I could do was hope that you’d found somewhere.” His grip tightened on the teacup. “It wasn’t my proudest moment. I apologize.”
Rei hummed. “It’s okay. I… someone helped me. They took me in. They worked with me, as did Adaman and Irida, to fix things.”
“The fact that you fixed things at all is remarkable, Rei. You had no reason to. Your kindness truly shines in your actions.”
Rei frowned, but they knew Ingo was nothing but honest if he could be. Especially with them, they’d found. Amnesiac solidarity, they supposed. “You know, the chef tried to kill me.”
Ingo choked on the sip of tea he had just started to take, setting the cup down to cough. They patted his back. He didn’t say anything, but the ‘what? ’ was written so clearly on his normally inexpressive face that they couldn’t help but laugh.
“Beni. He’s a ninja, I suppose. Kamado did too, but that’s not as funny.” Ingo hadn’t managed to lose his what the hell expression, yet. “But, yeah. After… everything… with the Sinnohs, they just. They just took me back. They brought me back into the Village as if they hadn’t left a fucking fifteen year old out in the wild to die . They threw a festival , for Arceus’ sake.”
“So…” Ingo’s frown finally made its reappearance. “A ninja chef tried to kill you, and then the Commander tried to kill you, and then two gods tried to kill you, and then they threw a party like nothing happened…? Am I summarizing that correctly?”
For some reason, the utter bafflement in Ingo’s tone was what broke the Camerupt’s back, so to speak. They’d not spoken to anyone about the sheer ridiculousness of the situation, as no one from the town could truly understand how stupid it all sounded – not even their friend nor Laventon would truly grasp it. Tears sprung forth like a deluge, finally bypassing the lump in their throat to allow them a full sob .
Awkwardly, Ingo patted their back. He was better at the talking part of comforting, and less so the actual act , and it showed. The thought just made Rei cry harder, the relief of finally being able to let it out with someone who could understand it overtaking them. They knew it wasn’t pitying, just awkward, and that was so, so, so much better.
Rei had to have cried for awhile, but their friend hardly moved beyond to get them a couple of handkerchiefs to clean their face with. The release of emotion made them exhausted , but they wanted to finish. “I– I’m good now,” they finally managed to say, taking a deep breath. They took a few more for good measure, accepting the water Ingo provided them with.
“I went back and they talked to me as if they hadn’t left me for dead. As if they hadn’t yanked the carpet out from under me. As if I hadn’t been betrayed the second something looked off.
“But… I couldn’t… I couldn’t say anything. At first, there was no time to think about how I felt. Then it was all so fresh and even thinking about it got me worked up to almost hyperventilating. And after that it was too late. Too much time had passed, Rei, why are you still dwelling on it? Aren’t you grateful? ” The spite that dripped from their final word surprised even them.
Sneasler, who had just returned from checking on what Ingo apparently (secretly) called the “sneaslings”, approached them. Perhaps it was instinct, perhaps she was unnaturally perceptive, perhaps some combination of the two, but Sneasler took Rei’s head in her carefully turned away claws and rested their forehead on hers. A deep, throaty hum, much like a purr, stemmed from her throat, and Rei relaxed into her makeshift embrace. Even if Sneasler couldn’t hold them fully without risking their health, she could still convey care. It was, somehow, exactly what they needed.
— x — x —
The kid seemed to be all out of tears, Sneasler noted as they relaxed into her hold. Instead, it seemed like the wind had been taken from their feathers, and they simply held onto her like a lifeline. A sharp spike of fury washed over her, carefully hidden by the purr she let out. Ingo seemed to notice, anyhow – her Warden was extremely perceptive, at times.
Gently, she rocked the child, allowing them to fall asleep against her soft fur. It had been a long day for them, she knew. Braviary was probably plucking his feathers while preening, he’d seemed so concerned, and she finally understood why.
It was not often that Sneasler felt a protective rage for humans. Once, it was for an earlier Warden of hers, a sickly girl whom she guarded more fiercely than any others before her. The next time was for Warden Ingo, a man who’d grown on her like stubborn moss, and was likely the first Warden she’d bonded with in a true fashion. And now, for this small, fragile child, who had saved the world twice over and likely would again.
The child had hurt no soul, displaying no brutality even towards those they defeated. They harbored no resentment for the Clan Heads who turned them away, nor for those who stood idly by whilst they were forced from the only home they remembered. Only the perpetrator of the banishment held their ire, when Sneasler knew she’d have already torn the population to shreds by the time they had the chance to utter the word exile .
This simply wouldn’t do. No kit of hers would remain passively in harm’s way, no matter how feeble they were (and humans were so, so feeble, she mused). Her Warden looked at her, as they both knew what she was thinking.
He could not argue, though. He’d say he didn’t want to wake the child, but they both knew better.
Oh, yes. She and Braviary would be having words.

Art Teacher! Reader x Math Teacher! Sanemi Shinazugawa (x Science Teacher!Kyojuro Rengoku)
Reader is black female
Modern AU
Tw:Kyojuro being a villain, Sanemi feeling bad, Obanai being a therapist, Tengen being actually decent, mentions of alcohol, drunk characters, drunk reader, drunk Kyojuro, a lil spice sprinkled in, a lil violence at the end
Part 1^
Chapter 4: Under the Influence (not drugs but alcohol, also this song is suggested for the club part...)
Kyojuro had kept a close eye on you, looking for any opportunities to speak with you. Even walking you to your car at the end of the school day. But he kept a closer eye on Sanemi. He started to become out of character, using the other male's usual slip ups, to make Sanemi look bad in front of you. Such as, Shinazugawa's interactions with the students, or with other teachers.
One incident involved Tanjiro and the Math teacher.
"Truancy is a offense, Kamado. I dont care if your parents bakery needed a little bit of extra help this morning! Im gonna hand you a fucking detention! Now! Get YOUR ASS TO CLASS!"
You were standing outside of the teacher's lounge. Starting to walk over, Kyojuro beat you to it. He moved to Sanemi's side, patting the male on the shoulder,
"A bit much, my friend?"
Kyojuro turned to Tanjiro, smiling gently,
"Go ahead, I'll excuse it just this once. Be sure to be in time, ok?"
Tanjiro gave his thanks and rushed to class, holding the pass Kyojuro given to him. You finally walked up to them, crossing your arms.
"I didn't think you'd allow that, Kyojuro. Sanemi, you should work on talking to the children... Its worrisome that you still yell at them..."
You gave Kyojuro an approving smile and walked back to your classroom.
"You think your fucking slick, don't you Rengoku?"
Kyojuro turned his attention back towards Sanemi.
"Slick? Is that what you think of me? I'd never-"
"Dont bullshit me. I know, I know, that you like her too."
Kyojuro fixed the other man with a smile, one that spoke an open challenge,
"Well perhaps you could try to quell yourself. But I'm glad you know that I do have feelings for her. All I ask is that you try, if you'd like. I wouldn't take you for one to run aways from a challenge of any kind."
Kyojuro's smile dropped, and he fixed Sanemi with a look,
"I intend on winning her over, in any way I can."
Plastering his usual smile, Kyojuro walked back to his classroom, asking his students for forgiveness and starting back up his lesson. Hopefully, things go as he intended, and he'd win over you and your affections.
~~~~~
Sanemi had been in a foul mood, all damn day. And it was thanks to Kyojuro Rengoku. The bastard had the audacity to openly challenge him. Sanemi rubbed his forehead, that explains the whole past two weeks then... The random ass pop-ups whenever she happened to be around... Especially when it came to the students. It was frustrating... There was few things that Sanemi actually had to himself, and you he considered one of them...
"Whats the matter?"
He looked up and Obanai was standing next to his desk. Sanemi shook his head, sighing. Not wanting to get into what was actually wrong. He waved a hand, and looked back at the papers on his desk,
"I thought you had a date?"
It was the weekend. And weekends ment two things:
couples would go out Friday nights, and spend Saturday together.
Teachers spent that time trying to catch up with grading
"If you could call doing work a date... but no she canceled, we all are going for drinks. I wanted to see if you'd join..."
Obanai scoffed, situating himself into a students desk and looked at his friend.
"Yeah... I think ill-"
"Whats bothering you? I'm not gonna ask again."
That was his only warning, nodding and leaning back in his chair, Sanemi gave in and started to vent,
"Its Kyojuro. He likes (Y/N) too. And he's doing everything in his power to make me look like a dickhead! An-"
"You are a dickhead. I dont see what's bothering you about it. If it wasn't him, it would have been someone else. Hell, Tengen might have tried to jump the poor woman, if no one showed interest. Tell me about what happened a couple days ago. I saw you and her talking on the other side of the lunch room. You actually looked a bit comfortable talking to her."
Sanemi smiled at the thought. The more chances he got to be around you, the more he was determined to win you over.
💨💨💨💨💨
This lunch block, you and Sanemi finally shared, to his relief, Obanai and Mitsuri were chaperones on the opposite side of the cafeteria. It was his chance to learn a bit about you. Anything at this point, aside from you enjoying well made sandwiches from a local bakery in the area.
"So what do you do besides teach?"
He inwardly cringed, waiting for your answer.
"Ah well aside from drawing I like to cook. And bake... hummm Oh! And I enjoy video games. And the occasional walk for my dog, but he's got a pretty decent sized yard to run around in."
"You've got a dog? I picked you for someone to have a fish or a bird.... something weird like that."
You giggled, gods.... it sounded like what he assumed heavens gates would sound like when you walked through them... That made him perk up a bit, turning his full attention on you.
"Yes." You breathed, "I have a dog. He's a pit bull."
That made him scoot a bit closer to you.
"I've got a pit too. He's really sweet. Genya's got some kinda mutt... We really haven't checked, but she's sweet too."
You beamed at him, and Sanemi let himself smile back at you. For the next few minutes you both spoke eagerly about your dogs. Finally exchanging numbers, and making plans for a play-date for the dogs.
~~~~~~~
"We have a play-date...."
While Sanmei smiled at the thought, Obanai made a face and almost smacked his friend.
"A play-date? Yall ain't fuckin 12 man. Wh-"
"Our dogs! We got a play-date set up for our dogs, asshole!"
He frowned at Obanai, who nodded with understanding. Then he stood up, walking to the door,
"You aughta invite her out. Seeing as your coming with tonight... I think she's still in her class room."
Taking that as a clear sign to act, Sanemi followed Obanai out, making a bee-line for your classroom. To his displeasure, he heard Kyojuro's voice coming from there. The idiot was laughing loudly. Sanemi crossed the threshold, glaring at Kyojuro's back, who had his arms wrapped around you. Something about how he had to break up a fight his first day on the job, and the way he held you, was how he grabbed the student who clocked him.
Sanemi cleared his throat, and Kyojuro's head snapped in his direction.
"Oh! Shinazugawa! Can we help you?"
Sanemi twitched, at the sight, you were trying to quiet your giggles. Your bright eyes lit up when you saw him, and you pulled yourself away from Kyojuro. The fire haired man frowned abit, but quickly recovered.
"Hello Sanemi! Is something wrong?"
You looked at him and made your way to stand in front of him. He crossed his arms,
"I was wondering if you'd join me and some of the others for drinks. You don't have to actually drink alcohol, but it'd be nice for you to come with..."
He huffed, and took a glance at Kyojuro.
"Sure! Kyojuro had asked me earlier, so I think it's fine. Right Kyojuro?"
You turned to look at him, and the idiot have you a smile, nodding. Sanemi smiled, he could tell that it was eating at Kyojuro that Sanemi was going along. Given he usually would pass such things up, unless Mitsuri didn't join Obanai, who liked to drink. Sanemi nodded, giving Kyojuro a smile,
"Good we'd best to get moving then. Everyone is starting to leave."
You turned to Kyojuro,
"Are you still ok with me following you? I'm not sure where we're going."
Kyojuro nodded, patting you on the back,
"Of course!"
Walking past Sanemi, Kyojuro made sure they bumped shoulders, almost knocking him to the ground.
"Oh! Forgive me! Are you alright?"
Sanemi sent a glare at Kyojuro, and straightened himself out, scoffing and taking some steps towards you.
"You mind if we ride together? I didn't drive this morning, didn't realize I was going to accept the offer to go drinking."
You gathered some papers, shoving them into your teachers desk, nodding,
"I think that'll be fine! Come on. I dont wanna get left behind!"
~~~~~~
You pulled Sanemi behind you, practically dragging him outside to your car, where Tengen, his wives (whom you had met at another outing, very friendly ladies that you got close too), Gyomei, who was kneeling, gently patting a stray cat, Obanai and Mitsuri, who were waiting by their car, and Kyojuro, whom gave you a bright smile.
"Ok! We're ready!"
Obanai started laughing, and Tengen pointed at you and Sanemi, you were still holding the man hand. Sanemi pulled away, red in the face, stalking to the passenger side of your car. You shrugged at Kyojuro, who let out a chuckle. Settling into the driver's seat, and clicking your seat belt in, you smiled at Sanemi
"Im really excited for you to meet Grizzle! He's a sweet boy, and super friendly! Are you going to let Genya come along too? I'd like to meet his puppy!"
You rambled about the dogs play-date to Sanemi.
"Yeah, I was going to ask him in the morning if he wanted to tag along. His puppy, Rika, is such a shy one, so him being there would be ok."
Everyone pulled out of the parking lot, and you followed Kyojuro's car.
"Awesome! How's he doing in his other classes? His grades are fine in mine, but I'd hate to hear that he's doing poorly in others."
You were fond of the younger Shinazugawa, that and you had a feeling that Genya was playing into whatever plan Tengen had going... Unknowingly or knowingly... Genya had a way of suggesting things, lowkey...
"Ah he's fine. Struggling a bit with English, but he'll study a bit harder, and work past it."
The pair of you spoke, as casually as possible, though you kept catching Sanemi staring at you. The man made you feel a bit uncomfortable, as he always wore this intense look on his face.... He'd look away, but would always end up staring at you again. Parking infront of the bar, you both got out and Sanemi came to your side of the car, standing ar your side.
"Do you have a tolerance?"
He pointed at the doors to enter. You nodded, and started to walk in, following some of the others. But you didn't get all the way to the doors before Suma and Hinatsuru linked their arms with yours, leaving Makio to deal with Tengen first. They usually switched through out the night, to make sure he didn't get too wild.
"Ah! (Y/N)!! You can start drinking with us! We wanna talk to you anyways! See how you're settling in!"
Suma drug you in and settled the three of you at the bar, ordering drinks right away.
"So Sanemi?"
You choked.
"Its ok! He seems a bit too angry for you though..."
Hinatsuru smirked into her glass as Suma didn't waste anytime on doing as Tengen asked, which was to be noisy as possible, you assumed.
"Ah... What about him?"
You tried to play dumb. Sure you had feelings for the man. But Kyojuro had taken some of your interest as well. The both of them had likeable qualities. Of course you could list them, but how would that be fair?
"Well, what about Kyojuro?"
Hinatsuru looked at you, setting her glass down,
"He seems to have taking a liking to you as well, right?"
Fuck you Tengen. Just fuck you.
It seemed like the man had eyes all over the damn place....
~~~~~
Smiling, Tengen looked over at the bar. Good. Two of his wives had you cornered. With any information he got he was going to help whichever friend of his had your attention the most! He felt bad about not noticing that Kyojuro had liked you sooner... Tengen looked at his drink... Then at Kyojuro, who every so often was looking in your direction. You, along with Suma and Hina, were on the dance floor.
Then Tengen took a look over at Sanemi. The male was sitting with Obanai, slouching.
"He's already a few drinks in..."
Gyomei was the unofficial babysitter for outings like this. He always made sure everyone was able to get home. And if not, his house was the designated sober home. Tengen frowned,
"If he depressed, he could have stayed home you know..."
He downed his drink, but almost spit it out, watching Kyojuro get up and make his way towards you, dancing. Perking up, Tengen silently cheered his friend on, as Kyojuro pushed another guy away from you. Sending the other male a glare, Kyojuro pulled you closer to himself.
Tengen let out a wolf-whistle, smaking Giyu on the back, causing the other to spill his drink.
"What the hell?!"
Tengen pointed at Kyojuro, who was currently grinding against you to the heavy beat that was playing. Giyu blinked at the sight,
"I didn't think he could move like that..."
Tengen smiled, and ordered another round of drinks, pushing one over to Giyu as an apology, for making him spill another one. Which was taken, with a nod. Suma and Hina made their way to the table, smugly watching you drunkenly dance on your co-worker.
"Well? Did-"
"Oh there's an interest in both of them... She's trying to still get a feel for them..."
"Looks like she's doing that right now!"
Makio laughed, pointing at you and Kyojuro. Tengen nodded, downing another drink. It seemed like the two of you were getting pretty close. Then it hit him.
"KYOJURO DOESNT ACTUALLY DRINK!!"
Shinobu laughed at Tengen's outburst. He didn't count the glasses, but where the flame headed man had sat, there were at least 4 empty glasses. A bottle service girl, was cleaning them up, getting ready to take more orders.
"Miss. How many drinks did that man have?"
Tengen was panicking, anxious to hear.
"Um. Well he drank them pretty fast... I'd say about six or seven though... which is weird, cause you guys just got here... not 10, 15 minutes ago."
Tengen jumped up, then paused, looking at his wives,
"How many drinks did you guys give (Y/N)?"
Suma blinked and then squinted her eyes. She herself drank in tandem with you at the bar... Hina gave her answer and Tengen dragged her to the dance floor.
"10 drinks?! Do you know what-"
"Tengen. She has a tolerance-"
They started to dance their way towards you and Kyojuro.
"I dont give a shit what kinda tolerance she has! Kyo has none!"
It was true, the man usually babysat a cranberry and vodka... WITH NO VODKA!
~~~~~
With no care in the world, Kyojuro kept you close to his form. Shamelessly grinding himself on your ass. His mind was fuzzy, his chest burned a bit, and you were soft.
Oh so soft...
It kept him grounded, and he didn't need to go anywhere else... In this moment, all he could feel was you. How soft your felt, how your body moves with so much synchronicity with his... The way you let him move his hands up and down your body. A hand on your hips, and the other following the curves of your body. Every so often you allowed yourself to turn to him fully, and trace your hands along his chest. Making him close his eyes, enjoying your cool touch.
Whenever you turned to press your back to him again, he couldn't help but to let his hands wander farther down. Dragging his finger tips on the inside of your thighs. With all the music playing, Kyojuro could hear you over it all. Every little gasp, made him harder. Each brush of your lips against his, made him pull you closer. Call it him being bold or him being stuck in his euphoria, but every opportunity he got, Kyojuro pressed his lips to your exposed skin.
As if he could feel daggers on him, he took a glance at the table where everyone else was sitting. Sanemi, was currently, staring those mentioned daggers at Kyojuro. As if to fuel the fire, Kyojuro spun the pair of you around. So that Sanemi had a full view of you. A full view of you dancing all over him. Not Sanemi. With a sneer, Kyojuro pulled your work skirt up just enough for Sanemi to get a good look at your soft, plush thighs. Him giving them rough squeezes, dragging his fingertips and nails all over them.
Giving the other male a long look, and a Cheshire grin, Kyojuro placed another kiss along the base of your neck. But was then pulled back, literally. Tengen's face wore a look of horror... Or was it an idiots smile? The larger man was beaming at him, saying something... It didn't really set in, as the room spun. He did feel you grab his arm again, your chest squished against it. Tengen had started pulling him back to the booth, and you were dragged along. The pair of you now broken out of your stupor, thanks to Tengen.
Now sitting at the booth, more drinks where being passed around... With everyone save, for Gyomei, being drunk. Kyojuro made sure to keep you close to him. It had been about an hour or two? In reality it had been four or five at this point. With the majority of everyone holding or pulling at someone in attempt to get out of the bar, without falling. Gyomei helped everyone into his van, being sure to be careful with lifting the ladies into the van.
~~~~~
The large man quietly drove home. Checking his rear view mirror every so often when he heard some one stirr. He was happy to be sure his friends were safe, but sometimes it was like being a mother... Which he had been called on several occasions. Gyomei turned on his radio, gentle music always played on it... Unless he let Tengen sit in the passenger seat, on one of the many adventures the group sometimes went on...
Yawning he pulled into his garage. Once he got into more comfortable clothes, and set the living room for men to sleep in. The other guest room was designated for the women. After placing blankets, pillows, medications and water all over the place, Gyomei started to lift and carry the others into his home. Tengen, who always carried his wives in, was somewhat sober and started to help.
"You shouldn't have encouraged that."
"I didn't encourage anything. Kyo did it on his own. Sanemi should take a bit more action. I can't wing man for both of them, if their after the same woman."
"Then stay out of it? It probably would be best of you kept your hands out of it... Really Uzui, I'm sure you'd like to see them both happy, and have someone to go out with your wives... But you also have to consider that it's their lives..."
Gyomei didn't like the meddling Tengen Uzui usually did. He gently laid you down, next to Mitsuri. He could see Tengen sober up, for just a moment. But then the man fixed him with a look and shrugged, walking back into the living room and face planting into the floor, next to Kyojuro.
~~~~~~
The sun shone through the windows and you whined at it. Rubbing your head, slowly sitting up. Blinking, you felt someone touch your back, patting gentle circles.
"Are you feeling ok? You had quite a bit of alcohol last night."
It was Mitsuri, she was holding a bottle of water out to you, and on your other side, Suma was holding a plate of eggs and sausage for you.
"Uh... eat up?"
You frowned at her. It was her and Hinatsuru's fault you woke up like this. Hungover and hurting... But you do remember having a good time... Taking the food, slowly eating and enjoying the new warmth, you nodded to Suma and Mitsuri.
"Thanks... I needed that... But, uh, where are we?"
As if on cue, Tengen opened the door, and you scrambled for the blanket. Causing Makio to laugh, and Shinobu to throw a pillow at the man.
"Ow! And good morning! Everyone slee-"
Another pillow had been thrown.
"Shut up."
Shinobu was reasonably upset and didn't need the loud noises. But that two seconds of quiet didn't last long. There was yelling in the other room.
The living room.
You rushed to throw on your clothes, Tengen's presence forgotten. He led the way into the room, acting as a wall between the men trying to fight. Successfully keeping you and the rest of the ladies from getting inbetween.
Gyomei held Sanemi by the shoulders, arms wrapped underneath the man's own arms. And Obanai and Giyu were holding Kyojuro back on the opposite side of the room.
"FUCK YOU! YOU DID THAT ON PURPOSE LAST NIGHT!!"
"What are you talking about!? I barely remember last night!"
"YOU THINK IM FUCKIN TAKING THAT AS AN EXCUSE, YOU SON OF A BITCH!?"
You looked back and forth between the two, confused as everyone else. But Kyojuro had a fresh bruise on his face, forming right underneath his eye. A sign that Sanemi had already gotten to him before anyone could stop him. You dodged from behind Tengen and made way to Kyojuro. Standing front of him, and he looked at you curiously,
"(Y/N)-"
You didn't say anything, as you looked him over, then turned to Gyomei. Who nodded and carried Sanemi into the kitchen, placing the man on the counter. Where Sanemi just stared at you. Gyomei returned to your side with an ice pack, with Obanai and Giyu peeling away, to make room for you to press the ice pack to Kyojuro's face. He hissed and looked at you apologetically, taking the ice pack in his hand.
You looked him over again and walked in to the kitchen to look over Sanemi. The man had a bruise on the opposite side of his face. He looked away from you, still fuming about whatever the hell happened last night.
"Are... We still good for-"
You laughed at him,
"You've got a bruise on your face, and just tried to wreak havoc... But your worried about our dogs play-date?"
Sanemi huffed, the heat in his face not going away, as you touched his cheek.
"I just don't wanna fuck this up, ok..."
You calmed down from laughing at the stupid man before you, and finally nodded at him.
"We're still good for it."
