Kai putting Wu on a pedestal as the perfect adult and Arin putting Lloyd on a pedestal as the perfect adult due to kind adults they did have in their life disappearing without them knowing why and the second they get another trustworthy adult they pedestal them, you go hand in hand with Nya and Sora who never knew a trustworthy adult and instead learnt that placing a person on a pedestal hides the fact that they absolutely will mess up too but still try their sincerest.

Making another post actually, because all of the symbolism in Win or Lose is amazing.
Having anxiety be a creature that just grows and grows, and eats away and crushes Laurie down until she can't speak or walk like she used to? Having Laurie's dad always be under the sun, or some kind of light to signify that while Laurie is religious, and looks up to god, what she's really looking to is her father?
The way armour is necessary for some jobs - Frank need to be able to take criticism, and still stick firm to what he knows is true, - and that relief of taking it off? And when it bleeds into personal life, what can he even do? When he's been heart, because he can't open up, doesn't that just make it harder to shed that in the first place?
And then Ira, whose perspective reminds me a lot of Captain Underpants, and is so, so sweet. He's just a little kid, and a little weird, and he just wants friends who like him for that! And he wants his big sister to like him, and spend time with him! And he's so imaginative, the scribbly, cartoon style of his little world he spies through? I was just in love. The fact that he kept picturing the teenagers as super heros and rebels and good guys- and just the fact that he sounds like a kid! Are you kidding, that autraulian joke? I laughed so hard because I've heard kids talk like that, that's what shy, caring little kids sound like when they've been shot down before!
Yuwen's mini me inside his heart screaming like me!!, the version of him he doesn't let out, because it's cardboard and flimsy and so easy to crush. I'm really amazed at the way they portrayed Yuwen and Taylor, because i remember being in middleschool, and while I never dated (cough cough aroace), the depiction of them "picking out curtains and moving in" feels so real, because I do believe that's what love will always feel like, no matter the age. Being in middleschool doesn't mean the love isn't true, or isn't there just because it's not likely to last. And the way they depicted kissing, not by showing them kiss, but by showing what it felt like? I was amazed. Baffled. I can't believe I haven't seen more things like that.
(It's actually incredibly interesting to me, that 2/3 main male characters shown so far, have gimmicks of protection. Protecting themselves, their emotions, and who they are as a person, because they feel they can't be open and honest, they feel they can't trust their emotions to guide them.)
I talked about Rochelle and her mom in a seperate post, but the gasp I let out when I realized Rochelle's gravity was weird because she didn't have the stable force of a mom? Oh my god. Rochelle feels like her family is upside down, that she has to be the adult, and because of that, every force in her life is turned upside. She has no one to rely on and nothing to ground her, until her mom is finally there for her, no phone in hand at the end of episode 4. Gravity rights itself because her mom is there, fully present, to help her.
The way they contrasted Rochelle's episode's mood with her mom's was fantastic, because her mom's felt like a performance. She's performing, always, because she doesn't know how to be otherwise! She performs being a good mom and performs being happy for her audience, and even performs at the party, wether she wants to or not! That was an audience! And everything about her performance has bleeded into the way she sees the world, how everything's pink and sparkling and upbeat. It's only when she finds Rochelle do we see her not performing, we get to see, for the first time, who Vanessa is for just Rochelle. For just her family.
I'm so invested, so obsessed, SO READY FOR THE NEXT TWO EPISODES!!
(As a sidenote, if you haven't seen the storyboards of the cut trans scene, here's a link to the internet archive of them. I can't find them anywhere else. But the Picasso style falling apart, the shattering and splitting of identity, because Kai is scared, and has to act both parts and it's confusing and hurting her and oh- it really just punches me in the gut.
Here's the link directly to the archive: https://archive.org/details/23fr-4r
and the link to the reddit post i got it from: https://www.reddit.com/r/lostmedia/comments/1hhj1zh/partially_lost_deleted_storyline_from_upcoming/
please go watch it if you like the show it's absolutely beautiful <3)

dilf bull/hound darling: i’ve been used as a breeder before but i’d love to find someone special to connect with and start a future together you know?
kaimana [heard breeder and got so hard he got nauseous]: i think i hauve Covid
Former Breeder Darling takes a trip out to the beach nearby where the farm they used to work/live on. They strike up a conversation with an attendee at one of the bar stands. The guys a little awkward, but sweet - they guess he didn't have much interaction with others before he got the job and was still getting the hang of things. He noticeably becomes a whole lot clumsier when Darling mentions the details of their past career and current goal.
"So - what brings you out here, Stranger?"
"There's a farm a bit up north from here.. Worked there almost my entire adult life. Job was starting to get to my head so I quit."
"Oh, is that so? I try not to head too far from home, but now I'm starting to regret that. What type of work did you do?"
"I was a breeder.....on top of some manual labor.'
The glass Kaimana held slips from his hands.
"Holy..... You good, Kai?"
K....Kai?? You're giving him nicknames already?? Kaimana grabs the broom propped against the wall behind him - using it to support his wobbly legs instead of cleaning the shards of broken glass at his feet. "Y-yes, I'm fine!... Please continue."
"Eh, not much more to say. Whenever someone needed some assistance having a kid I helped out. Didn't think much of it when I was younger. Paid good, and I got to live on the farm for next to nothing which allowed me to save up over the years.... I had no attachment to it till I received some photos of one of my kids... Well... Not my kid, but their folks were nice enough to send them... It got me thinking... about a family of my own."
You look up from your glass to find Kaimana frantically scribbling something on a napkin.
"My number! .... I-if you'd like to keep in touch. Have you found a place of receidence yet? I know a lovely hotel closeby. I can take you there!- W-we could get to know each other a little better - maybe or dinner or-or a nice bottle of wine."
You chuckle. "Dinner sounds good. Been meaning to try some of the seafood this area is know for.. You should probably clean up that glass though."
You're probably right about that. If he faints atop a pile of glass he'll have to miss your date getting stitches! It's a somewhat difficult for him to move with one particular area of his clothing so drenched in his own fluids.
"Y...yes... dear.... Dear customer, I mean!... haha..."
"Cute." You down the rest of your drink and pull a few bills from your pocket, tucking the napkin in that same sleeve as you stand from the counter. "See you later, Kai."
Kai waves as you depart. He wouldn't call it a goodbye as he'd see you soon enough.
"See you.... Honey."

Leave Your Mark ⭑˚🧪⭑ 𝑎 𝑛𝑒𝑤 𝑓𝑎𝑚𝑖𝑙𝑦
bnha x f!reader
reverse harem, isekai, my hero academia x fem!reader, slowburn
Tumblr media
You didn’t accomplish anything in your previous life. Looking back on it, you feel nothing but regret, and you yearn for the chance to do things differently. As it turns out, your wish is answered, and you are reborn into your favorite fictional world. This time, you resolve to make a change, and you have the means to do it. You won’t be content with just sitting on the sidelines and letting life pass you by. You will live boldly and vibrantly, as if every moment is your last. No matter what it takes, you are going to leave your mark.
previous | story masterlist | next
“Kai, do you want to eat lunch together?”
It comes as no surprise, but Chisaki responds by scrunching up his nose.
“Go away,” he sighs. “I don’t have time for stupid little kids.”
He barely even spares you a glance before burying his nose in the book he’s been reading. You’ve come to discover that he is nine years old, seven years older than you, but that being said, he’s still a kid himself. You find it funny that he’s acting as if he’s a full-grown adult, when in fact, you’ve lived for longer than he has.
But for all his hasty reprimands and how eager he is to get rid of you, still you remain undeterred. You’ve decided that you want to change his life for the better. To ensure that he won’t become a villain and go on to hurt countless people—including a helpless little girl.
So, you plop down next to him, still smiling brightly, then unwrap the sandwich one of the caregivers handed you earlier. Admittedly, it doesn’t smell great, and it’s warm, for some reason, but considering how much of a dump this place is, you know it’s the best you’re going to get.
You bite into your sandwich and make a face. “This tastes a little funny.”
“Stupid kid,” Chisaki mutters, shuffling away from you. “The meat is probably on the verge of spoiling. You’re going to get sick, and then you’re going to get me sick. Ugh.”
There’s not really much you can do about your limited dining options here, and you just hope that you won’t end up with food poisoning.
“The beginner’s guide to human anatomy,” you mumble, reciting the title of the book Chisaki has in hand. This seems to catch his attention, and he stops reading to peer over at you with arched brows.
“You know how to read?” he blinks. “But you’re only two.”
Oh. Right. I’m supposed to be a toddler.
Up until now, everyone at the orphanage just assumed you were flipping through books for the hell of it, but you’ve nearly just given yourself away.
“I’m smart for my age,” you decide upon, making sure not to oversell it. “Does that book have nice pictures to look at?”
Chisaki shrugs. “I guess. Mostly just diagrams and stuff. Nothing a little brat like you would understand.”
He’s challenging you, or at the very least mocking you, and even though you shouldn’t let his words get under your skin, you suddenly feel the need to prove yourself.
“I bet I’ll be able to understand,” you insist, then snatch the book right out of his fingers.
“Give that back,” he grimaces. “You’re so annoying. This is why I hate kids.”
Once again—he’s also a kid, although you certainly wouldn’t know it at first glance, based on his pretentious attitude and the complicated books he’s already reading.
You trace your finger over one of the pages. “The aorta is the largest artery of the body, and it carries blood from the heart to the rest of the circulatory system. Blood first leaves the aortic valve, then it travels through the aorta, allowing other major arteries to deliver oxygen-rich blood to the brain, muscles, and various other cells.”
By the time you’re finished, Chisaki’s jaw is hanging open.
Crap. You probably could’ve afforded to hold back a bit.
“Told you I’m smart for my age,” you say, then gently place the book back in his hands. Well, it must come as a shock to him, since you appear as a toddler, but you’re actually a teenager mentally speaking. Being able to read is hardly that impressive. What’s actually impressive is that he’s reading complicated stuff like this, despite only being nine years old.
But you decide to savor your little victory nonetheless.
“Huh,” is all Chisaki can think to respond. He studies you for a few moments, lips coming together in a thin line. It’s clear that he doesn’t quite know what to make of you, but perhaps that’s for the better. It means that he’ll develop an interest in you and want to keep you close, right?
Hardly five seconds later, he shoos you away.
“Leave,” he demands. “Your sandwich stinks. Stop hanging near me.”
It seems like you’ve got your work cut out for you. And there really must have been something wrong with that sandwich, because later that same day, you end up vomiting onto the carpet.
Chisaki makes no attempt to hide his disgust.
Tumblr media
You’re not sure exactly how much time has passed since you first met Chisaki, but progress is slow. And when you say slow, you mean horribly and inconceivably slow.
You knew as much while following the plot of My Hero Academia, but damn, Chisaki really isn’t fond of other people.
“Go away,” he sneers.
“You’re annoying and dirty,” he remarks on another occasion.
Sometimes—if you’re lucky—he’ll spend more than five seconds talking to you, but it’s usually only when he’s stringing together a more complicated insult.
“I want you to leave me alone, and if you don’t leave me alone, I’m going to tie you to a tree outside and leave you there.”
Since he’s only nine years old and has yet to hurt a soul, you aren’t terribly intimidated. Plus, there are way too many eyewitnesses at the orphanage for him to get away with such a thing.
“Pfft,” you brush off. “You wouldn’t do that to me.”
He does, in fact, tie you to a tree—and on more than one occasion.
Oh, well. You assumed going into this that it wouldn’t be an easy endeavor. Chisaki clearly hasn’t yet understood that, like it or not, you’re here to stay.
It’s a day like any other, and you’re in the midst of recovering from yet another spoiled-food-induced tummy ache, when out of nowhere, Chisaki decides to walk out of the orphanage. Sometimes kids play outside. That is, after all, where he tied you to all of those trees.
But Chisaki isn’t one for playing games to begin with, and today, he seems to have made up his mind about something.
He leaves the orphanage without looking back.
Naturally, you follow him, as fast as your tiny legs will allow you to. It will take a while for the caregivers to realize you’ve both gone missing. Negligent supervision seems to be the recurring trend around here. Really, it’s a miracle that the rest of the kids are even still alive.
“Where are you going?” you ask, stumbling to keep up with him. Goddammit. This tiny body of yours is so frustrating. You’re used to being in full control of your limbs, and being able to walk faster than what feels like a solid ten meters per hour.
Chisaki doesn’t so much as glance at you. “That place is filthy,” he mutters. “I couldn’t stand it anymore. Not that it matters anyways. Everywhere is the same. Wherever I go, people will just keep disappointing me.”
You realize that you don’t know much about Chisaki’s backstory. All you know is that at some point in his childhood, he was taken in by a kind-hearted yakuza man, but apart from that, the details are left rather vague.
Where are his parents? How long ago did they abandon him? Just how many years has he spent on his own, without knowing what it feels like to be loved and cared for?
He probably won’t tell you even if you ask, but your heart aches for him regardless.
“It’s going to be okay,” you tell him. Perhaps it sounds like you’re just talking out of your ass, and you doubt it helps to reassure him much, but he spares a glance at you anyways.
He presses his lips together. “You’re just a little kid. Go back to that stinky place. It’s better than sticking with me. I can’t take care of you.”
“We can take care of each other,” you offer.
Chisaki shakes his head in dismay, but surprisingly, he’s not telling you to leave, so you muster up a smile and follow him. Follow him where exactly, you have no clue, but you’ve already made up your mind to stay with him, no matter what happens.
And then, for the first time, you find yourself intertwined with the story’s plot.
“What are you children doing all the way out here?”
The voice catches you off-guard, but when you tilt your head to get a better look at who just spoke, your eyes go wider than ever.
Ah. I know him.
Of course you do. After all, he’s largely the reason that Chisaki goes on to commit so many crimes. It’s not just his hatred of Quirks and rejection of the so-called ‘Hero Syndrome’, but also because he feels as though he needs to repay the man who took him in, and bring the yakuza back to their former glory.
This man is Chisaki’s adoptive father, and the boss of the Shie Hassaikai, who is affectionally referred to as Pops.
Droplets of rain fall upon your cherubic cheeks and roll down your skin. The sky has been looking rather gray and murky for a while, so you’re not surprised that it’s steadily turning into a downpour.
Pops stares at the both of you and frowns. “It isn’t safe to be out here all alone. Where are your parents? Did you get separated from them?”
“We don’t have parents,” you blurt out. “We don’t... we don’t have anyone.”
Instead of responding, Chisaki just nods his head somberly. He’s not a talkative sort to begin with, but right now, it looks like he’s lost for words. You doubt he’s expecting anything. He clearly hasn’t led a particularly happy life until now, and it shows.
But when Pops pulls out his umbrella and uses it to shelter both of you from the rain, Chisaki’s golden eyes widen ever-so-slightly.
“I see,” Pops hums. He pauses, a slow, gentle smile stretching across his lips. “And what are your names, if you don’t mind me asking?”
You respond without wasting a beat. “I’m [Name]! And this is my friend—”
“I’m not your friend.” Chisaki lets out a weary sigh, but when he peers up at Pops, he suddenly looks sheepish, as if he can tell that he’s a man worth respecting. “I’m... Chisaki. Chisaki Kai.”
Pops seems amused, and despite the rain soaking into his kimono, he holds the umbrella in place, so that neither of you will get wet.
“Well, then,” he says. “If you’ve got nowhere to go... then how about coming with me?”
It’s happening. The moment you watched unfold in the anime is actually happening, right before your very eyes.
The only difference is that, this time, Chisaki isn’t alone.
You will be with him every step of the way, to guide him towards a brighter future.
“...okay,” Chisaki says. His voice is hesitant, definitely more uncertain than you’re used to it being, but you can tell that right here and now, he’s decided to give Pops a chance.
He will be grateful towards this man for the rest of his life, that much you know for a fact.

i feel like he deserved to just cry it all out atleast once, considering the amount of pressure the poor boy has had from everything :( so i would lovee to read about that!

Sometimes it’s just too hard to be Jason Grace.
The mighty son of Jupiter. Pontifex Maximus. Counselor of the Zeus cabin. Juno’s Champion. Hero of Omlympus. Centurion of the Fifth Cohoort.
The titles were endless. And so was the work.
And everyone, and i mean everyone, counted on him for various things and reasons.
“Hey Jason, are you coming to capture the flag?” Annabeth asked, every week.
“Hey superman, come to bunker 9!” As always, Leo wanting to show him some new cool tricks or projects.
“Oi, sparky! Can you help me pick an outfit for my date?” Piper would ask him.
He was just so tired. He just wanted to tell them all to fuck themselves.
But he would never. He was too noble to do that. He just wouldn’t be able to live with himself if he knew his friends were needing him and he was… well, being a human and an young adult, taking care of his own stuff.
So when he got home from another endless day, back to his shared apartment in New Rome and to his beautiful girlfriend, who made him his favorite dessert - brownies with caramel and peanuts -, he broke down almost instantly.
Obviously, you ran towards him, scooping him in your arms - which was a difficult task, since he was almost a whole foot taller than you - but you did it anyways, pulling him close to your body, letting him sob in your shoulder as you tried to soothe him.
You had never seen him cry like that, clinging on you for dears life. Once again, he was never one to show his real feelings to anyone, not even your or Thalia.
You scooted him in your arms, rubbing soft circles at his back while you whispered small ‘shh’s and ‘it’s gonna be okay’s in his ear, the both of you say in the floor of your cozy apartment.
After a few minutes of compulsive crying, your shoulder and the upper part of your white tank top completely soaked in hot, wet tears, he finally calmed down - at least a little.
“Hey, honey.” You finally whisper into his ear as he pulls away from your embrace, eyes all puffy and red as he sniffles and wipes his tears with the back of his hand.
“Hey..” He mumbles, his tone low and cracked as you kept caressing his hair smoothly. You caressed his hair and gave a soft and gentle kiss so his cheek.
“Are you okay?” You were answered with a soft nod of his head as he scooted closer to you, snuggling against you warm body and keeping his head on your chest. He looked like a five year old child, and that made you smile. “Do you want to talk about it?”
“No.. not now. Is that okay?” He asked, his voice all mushy and muffled by his cheek tightly pressed against you body.
“Of course it is, my love. Do you want to eat? We have pasta with that sauce you like.” She said between little kisses in his eyes, his cheeks, the bridge of his nose and his lips. “And i made you your favorite brownies.”
“Mmhmm…” He let out a content mumble, finally pulling away from him and giving you a kiss on the lips. “After that i… after that i’ll talk to you, ‘kay?”
“‘Kay. But you have to eat before. Come on, i’ll help you get up.” She said as she got up and held out her hand for him to grab.
You finally got on your feet, and you turned around to reheat the food. When you were at the oven, he wrapped his arms around your waist and nuzzled his face into your neck, breathing heavily as he kept the closest he could to you.
Soon, the food was on the table, and the doorbell rang. It was the girl that walked with your dog. You thanked her and pulled Thor, your golden retriever, inside the house.
He immediately went to Jason, wiggling his tail and giving him the biggest licks in the world while the blond laughed.
You smiled at the sight. You knew that he was obviously hurting with something, and you were going to discover with what, but, right now, he just needed some love.
You gave him just that, as you ate together chilling and chatting about your days, you talking more than him.
He helped you with the laundry while you washed the dishes, and the chores were finished very quickly. You went back and cuddled up on the couch, a massive ball of fur, aka your dog, resting comfortably between you two.
You heard when Jason sighed and felt his shoulders shaking, showing his impending collapse, once again. You cyy it deles him closer to you as he cried and cried. His sobs were the only thing heard in the house.
Ten minutes later, when he was calmer, you were stroking his hair in the softest way you could, making sure he would be ready to talk.
“I-i’m just so… tired. Of everything and everyone. It’s- i know it’s selfish, but i can’t help but want to just… ran away. To just stay with you and Thor and give up on the rest of the world.” He said, his words are muffled and smudgy as he holds onto you.
“I know, baby… You shouldn’t work yourself out. You’re doing too much. More than you should, and you know that. You have too much work.” She said, kissing the top of his head.
“I just- i can’t let them just, you know, alone. It’s.. i can’t.” The son of Jupiter said, crying more.
“Honey, they won’t be alone. We have Reyna and Frank and Percy and lots of other people that you can use some help from. You’re not alone. Ever.” She said, reassuringly.
“But-“
“No buts. You’re gonna take a week off, and we’re just gonna hang out here, together, with Thor. No works, no college, no Pontifex Maximus stuff. Just y/n and Jason. And that’s not a request.”
He mumbles something but snuggles closer to you. “Fine. As long as we’re together.”
a/n: i’m literally so proud of myself bro, i got to do two, TWO works today. i’m evolving boos

I keep making post after post venting about how this show, especially this last part of the show was handled, and I want to make one from maybe a more rationally explained side.
Look I get the argument, "the show started with Johnny and Miguel, so it should end with them." As much as it makes me roll my eyes into the back of my head I do understand. However that doesn't mean Robby isn't important. Despite what some fans and the writers want us to believe.
I'd get if they had Miguel win at the end cause he's this gen's "Karate Kid", that's fine. My issue lies in the fact that Robby isn't allowed one win. Not just in a tournament sense, but in a personal sense. The show starts off with Johnny being a deadbeat loser father and Robby being the victim of him being a drunken deadbeat loser father. I'm sorry if that sounds harsh, but it's the truth. And the thing is to me Johnny didn't really try with Robby to be a better father. Sure you can spin he "tried", and Robby was "stubborn" but every time he did try and Robby fought him on it, Johnny fought back, and didn't actually allow his son to be angry. At least not to him. Sure he'd cry to Carmen, Miguel, etc., about how much of a screw up he was. Still somehow painting himself as a victim in all of this. But he never stated how much he messed up really with the one person who deserved it the most, and needed it the most. Robby. His son. Because I feel as much as Robby gave Johnny shit, the moments he had the door open for him… He just fucked up. Like I do feel like there was a doorway after the s1 tournament in early-s2. Robby very much expressed how you know he is trying, but it's going to take time. Instead of respecting this and instead of Johnny saying he'd try and gets it, he fights back that "he gets he screwed up" but he doesn't have to hang with Daniel. Daniel by the way being the one at this time to actually try and be there for Robby, and be a father figure to him. So Robby snaps back. That for some reason is the only thing people can focus on, and "poor Johnny!" for how "Robby speaks to him." Which… Whatever.
In season 3, there are a couple doors open for Johnny. That once more he messes up. When he's supposed to visit Robby at juvie after the school fight, and once more chooses Miguel over him. Just as he had been the first 2 seasons. Even after that when Johnny does go visit him Robby once more actually has some leeway with him here, he's upset at first but when he sees a somewhat efford on Johnny's end he relents and is accepting. It isn't until Robby finds out Johnny once more ditched him for Miguel that things blow up. And Johnny doesn't try to apologize on this end, he just pretty much places all blame on Robby for that, and yeah Robby fucked up badly during the school fight but really isn't rewarded the nuance of it I feel? And all the elements that went into that day, and fight. Except from Kreese really, and that's a whole other thing. That will just make this post longer.
And Johnny sure as shit didn't try in season 4 after Robby joined Cobra Kai. The scene at his apartment does not count at all because it was Robby who went there, and Johnny just tried to lecture him instead of inviting him in to talk things out. But whatever, and somehow at the end of the season somehow Johnny is miraculously forgiven despite doing not a thing to earn it. And see this is what bugged me here that it was Robby the child who had to let go of the anger, and not Johnny the 50-something year old adult man who had to earn it. And after that their relationship is all healed and after this Robby is never allowed to complain again because when he was justifiably angry the show punished him for it, and made it his problem. Not Johnny's.
So we have this aspect of it all of Robby not being chosen first ever by Johnny or anyone in his life frankly, because yeah Shannon went to rehab for him, and got better but we're not allowed to really see that. Hell maybe that would have made things a bit better. That we saw Robby had Shannon on his side, and would start choosing him.
We didn't get his relationship with Daniel really repaired. Yes they're on good terms but God I would have really loved to see them make up. The show loves to harp on how important Johnny and Miguel are, but frankly IMHO I feel Johnny and Daniel are just as important, and while I never truly was able to be on board with Johnny and Miguel I loved Daniel and Robby because Daniel for a time gave Robby what he needed until that blew to hell and the writers just brushed over them as if they weren't important.
We have this personal part of Robby's life to where he's never chosen once by anyone, and some I get, but others I can not accept. But it's Miguel who Johnny always picks over him. And in part 2 of this season a scene that also should have happened with Johnny and Robby only was reserved for Johnny and Miguel. Hell what I find worse is we never once see Johnny apologize to Robby and explain it was never him that was the problem, it was Johnny and he regrets how much he hurt him. What we do get is somehow Robby in this part of the season happy karate came into his life cause it gave him Johnny. Despite you know Johnny not doing a thing to earn it. Sorry I will die on this hill.
And I think this is what makes Robby fans upset about him losing at the end. Because maybe if in the past he was allowed one win, or if the writers spent half as much time on Johnny and Robby as they did Johnny and Miguel and validated Robby's feelings it would be OK. If the show showed us how important Robby was to the people in his iife and valued for that it would be OK. But we don't even get that. Not really.
And sure Robby gets a "good ending" but it felt shoehorned in to appease fans so Cobra Kai could come out on top.
And listen I get the show is called "Cobra Kai" but I could get into another rant about why just because the show is called Cobra Kai doesn't mean they always need to be the winners.
So really it's not in just a physical sense Robby never gets to win, it's in a personal sense, and on all that he's never allowed to be upset about it without the narrative framing him as in the wrong, or punishing him for it. Robby is truly never validated in any sense in this series, and as a fan it's frustrating to watch.

Kwon and Draco Malfoy's character archetype and why it makes fans go crazy
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Warning: this post contains spoilers from both stories)
Like it or not, Kwon Jae Sung has become one of the most beloved characters in the Cobra Kai series, and he only needed 15 minutes or less of screen time to do so. Here's my analysis of why his character traits are so interesting to many fans and how this reminds me of the "Draco Malfoy effect" in the Harry Potter fandom.
Cobra Kai and Death Eaters
The first time we see Kwon, he's a student at the Korean Cobra Kai dojo, a place that not only condones but actually encourages young people to be violent, offensive, and merciless. We see how this teenager eagerly absorbs every one of these teachings and puts them into action.
Tumblr media
Sounds familiar? In the HP universe, Death Eaters were an elite group created for the sole purpose of terrorizing and eliminating those they considered "the weakest and unworthiest": Muggle-borns and Muggles. They convinced (or forced) very young people to join them in their "mission": Draco, Snape, Regulus… All victims who then became perpetrators of the same crimes.
Tumblr media
This scenario is SO attractive from a fictional POV. You have this dark group of adults that use and manipulate these teenagers or young adults for their own selfish purposes, and you begin to wonder: what are these young characters going to do when faced with the real consequences of their actions and way of thinking?
Draco realized (slowly and painfully) how his family's ideals were turning him into a monster forced to torture and kill innocent people. Kwon wasn't given enough time to do that… But I'll talk about this later.
Bad Boy trope and the King of Ships
Now, we can't deny that a huge part of both Kwon and Draco's attractiveness stems from their charisma, quick-witted remarks, and their inflated sense of self-importance, believing themselves untouchable and incomparable. They feel empowered to say and do whatever they want, whenever they want, to whomever they want.
All this, combined with their appealing and recognizable looks, creates the perfect formula for your next fictional Bad Boy crush™. And it also makes them so easy to ship with other characters, especially if their interactions can be interpreted as flirtatious when taken out of context (ahem, Dramione, ahem, Drarry, ahem, Kwon x Tory).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"He's just a boy"
At the end of the day, both boys were just that: 17-year-old boys trying to fit into the world they were raised in, be the best in their class, and achieve great things in life. And this is what makes them so endearing to many fans like me.
Both tried to impress the father figure they kind of idolized.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And both suffered when they faced the reality that they were just as powerless and insecure as any other normal teenager.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But in Draco's case, this moment of realization became the start of his regrets and redemption arc.
In Kwon's case, he was fated to be consumed by rage and die… due to a questionable plot and chain of events.
Now, I'm not going to debate the last 15 minutes of Cobra Kai Part 2 here. I've already written about it, and this isn't the point of this analysis anyway. I respect the people who think that Kwon's death was necessary and that it will help other characters' growth in Part 3, even though I strongly disagree with how the Cobra Kai writers handled it all.
However...
The infinite possibilites of the Redemption Arc
Not giving Kwon the possibility of a future redemption arc was a real waste of his character's potential.
Draco Malfoy wasn't truly redeemed in the original books, but at least in the epilogue, we see him raising a beautiful family, far removed from his racist past. And if you consider what happens in Cursed Child canon, you'll see how much he has grown and how good he could have been as a teen, too, if he hadn't been fed the wrong ideas and morals.
Imagine how cool it would have been if the "There's no such thing as bad student, only bad teacher" theme was applied in a drastically different way than what they decided to do in Part 2.
I'm not saying they should have shown us Kwon's redemption arc in Cobra Kai Season 6. That wouldn't have been good because we only have five episodes left, and it wouldn't have been believable that he changed so fast... But if he hadn't died, then all possibilities were open (for future spin-offs or even just to be coherent with the tone the CK series had until season 6, that is: no dead kids, just adults and only because of an illness).
Sunshine Actors
Lastly, it can't be denied that Brandon H. Lee and Tom Felton have played a crucial part in making their characters fan favorites.
They both have amazing acting skills, portraying charismatic yet tragic characters. And Brandon's stunt and martial arts skills are truly fascinating to watch.
But there's even more to their casting as Kwon and Draco. And even though I can totally separate the actor from the character, I won't deny that the actors being handsome, gentlemen, and the nicest people behind the scenes plays an important part in fans loving their characters.
If you've made it this far, thank you so much for reading!
I often post more character analyses and plot reviews, so if you like this, feel free to follow me and message me with any questions you may have :)

how i think txt would react if their female best friend sat on their lap
Tumblr media Tumblr media
requested!
YEONJUN...
oh my god totally bitchless behavior coming in within 0.4 seconds
like this man will stop functioning, like is it normal to have your hands on the side?
tries to strike a pose
like daniel,, bby you're embarrassing yourself
swear he thinks he's like aha so fine
might lean back to play it cool
but you know he stiff as hell
like basically it's that dad pose when you know you've disappointed him and you're about to sit with him in a dark living room to soak in the immeasurable shame you've brought to the family.
his undergarment is drenched from stress sweats
might actually start stuttering
pls get off him before his dry sex life makes him pop a boner and the friendship gets ruined for life.
SOOBIN...
his head starts overheating due to overthinking the moment you sit on his lap like
the only two option were the floor where beomgyu spilled his drink or any of the dudes lap and he's your bestie boo so ofc you'd pick him
right?
tries to gaslight himself into thinking it's fine
like sure this shit is fine and it's normal to sit on each others laps.
but inside his head there are 4 tabs open, two of them are having a debate on the pros and cons of having your best friend on your lap and other two are playing tiktok random hits and he doesn't know which one he should tune in to
for the peace of his own mind, he tries to sit on your lap the next time
tit for tat he says.
BEOMGYU...
starts acting like you are crushing his thighs
he knows you playing so he's like aha two can play the game
girl you really thought you will outdo the doer
the og mr. mood breaker?
will straight up start moaning in your ears
starts squirming and whining like
'oooof my thighs are so fragile,'
does not give two cents about the place he is in
or the situation
or what people will assume
if soobin is the overthinker, beomgyu rarely thinks
its like his brain just takes off in a rush and it's taken over by the sheer need to annoy the fuck out of his bestie.
he's like the fly you can't just quite swat away
literally starts doing his own echo moan from one ear to another
you have to admit the defeat and get up on your own.
TAEHYUN...
will not straight up push you off him.
but the look he gives you, he might as well just put in the physical effort and do it.
his face is like, 'you did this for what?'
'why not?'
'why though?'
tries to get used to you sitting on him
like its chill
you're his bestie and he's a gym goer
so it does work out nicely
but the thing is like,
your back is blocking his vision
like its all chill and cute in movies but irl your sight will definitely get blocked and it has nothing to do with the person's height!
he tries to adjust so that he doesn't need to kick you off of him
and hurt your feelings or something
man is here jumping through hoops to seem effortless in order to continue his debate with hyuka about the importance of the balance between peanut butter and jelly in the sandwich
you see his struggle and move over on your own with a new found respect for terry the terrance taehyun kang
HUENING KAI...
he's looking at your head like, hmm you kinda sus
but that lasts like a whole lot of ten seconds before he's like nothings even on him
although he tries to smell the top of your head like what is the difference between a baby's head and an adult's crown
he is a curious little crow, it's one of his charms
makes a quick mental note to break it to you gently that you might need to take a lil bit more hygiene care on the top of your head.
he leans back
unlike yeonjun the daniel choi, he's fr chill
also man's broad as hell
he's like meant to be a chair at this point
you can lean in as much as you want on him and you know he would fine with anything
like he barely feels you on him anyway
you can probably just lean back on him and he'd cradle you like his first born
just maybe not kiss the top of your head
but he finally got an idea what to gift you on your birthday!
so it all worked out for the best!

I need people to remember that Nya was also in love with Jay since day 1, its just that it wasn’t her biggest priority seeing as she was going through a whole thing called insecurities and finding who she is outside of her brother and outside of her parents and outside of her village and outside of Jay.
Nya loves Jay the same amount, she has loved Jay just as long as Jay had, but her love for Jay wasn’t something she was willing to pursue when absolutely everyone would dumb her down to just that. The same way everyone was already dumbing her down to Kai’s sister the second they all met, and the same way they were already dumbing her down to just the love interest between Jay and Cole even after finding her identity and place as Samurai X. Imagine how much it hit her when Samurai X, and image she crafted so carefully with so much love and attention and pride, was suddenly belittled and mocked because apparently he was actually a she.
And you can’t forget the fact that she was suddenly forced to grapple with another new identity as the water ninja, and then had to deal with all the hate and mockery and belittling everyone was doing as she wasn’t just the water ninja, but the girl ninja. Its not easy to hear the comments people from a whole city make of you because of your gender. Even people from your own gender, and it must’ve been even worse because no one else understood, they knew it was a problem but they still believed her reactions were too over the top. The stress of all of that and then also having someone she loved but wasn’t ready to love with try force another path onto her was bound to stress her out.
Jay wasn’t necessarily an ass during that season, from what i can remember. He was a whole mess yeah, his insecurities making him take actions he wouldn’t have before and try forcing his wants and desires onto someone else who wasn’t ready for it. But he grew and learnt and stopped all that as the season progressed. He had to understand that the people around him won’t just leave or downgrade him, and that he must ease his own anxiety and understand that whatever happens will happen for the good of them all. That doesn’t change the fact that his actions in the beginning was a shi show though, so no wonder Nya pushed him away during that time. Reminder that you can still be angry and annoyed at someone you love, especially when they deserve it.
Not to mention she has never been all that vocal with her affection. Not like Jay. You know she cares and loves you simply through the way she trusts people but shes also been a lot more locked up over her emotions, and thats okay. Because Jay knows (haha, knew.) that Nya loves him just as much because if she didn’t she would very obviously state that. She may not be vocal over her emotions or her love for someone, but she is over her opinions. She won’t just let someone use her or mess with her because she feels bad or that she has too.
Right now, for Nya and Jay’s character, I’d rather focus on the identity crisis that JAY is going through now instead of Nya, and of how NYA is the one chasing and wanting to bring Jay into her life despite him not wanting (not being ready?) to do so. I’d rather focus on her development as a character and now as a teacher. And how Nya is going to change and grow like how Jay changed and grew in Skybound for her. Honestly I would love a lot more focus of developing Nya’s character as an adult who is horrible at being vulnerable and how she will grow, with the whole ‘Nya and Jay!’ Thing just a tad bit more in the background and used as more of a kick up for it. And for us to watch what may happen to Jay as he changes in a new environment with new memories and experiences.
For once, i want to watch them grow separately rather than watch them grow for each other. I know Nya can do that, but it’s only with Jay having lost his memories that he’s now capable of doing that for himself and only himself.
Sorry this was huge throw up of a rant so honestly just believe that this is five random points shoved into one post and rambled in a horrible way
Edit: reminder that Nya didn’t just disregard her feelings for Jay just so she wouldn’t be placed as simply his girlfriend, but also because she had many other worries. Completing missions and making sure everyone lived, being the biggest brain and planner in the team for ages, as well understanding her self outside of her town that she lived in for ages. Kai was able to fond himself easily amongst the other ninja, but Nya didn’t have that. So obviously she, as a 13-16 year old young teenage girl, would rather focus on finding new hobbies and having new experiences than pursuing a love life she wouldn’t even be confident in pursuing in. Jay and Nya are not each other only priority or worry, their love for each other is important to them and who they are, but isn’t the most defining factor or shouldn’t be the most focused.

Now Listen Here
Ban x Chubby! Reader
slight trigger warning I supposed, just some jerks making rude comments really.
Tumblr media
(Y/n) hummed softly as she walked hand in hand with the love of her life, she and the fox sin had been dating for some time now. When she initially discovered her feelings, she had lost near all confidence, she had heard what Elaine had looked like and (Y/n) was the opposite. She had a plump heart shaped bum and thick thighs; she had a chubby waist and was much thicker than the small figure that the fairy girl had. Turned out Ban was a true gentleman; he could love a girl no matter the size so long as she loved him back. And boy did she. She loved the leather clad male at her side, it's why she was more than happy when he offered to take her into the small town for a bit of a shopping trip.
Currently they were approaching a bakery, wanting to have a sweet treat before they had their adventure. It was a small peach colored building with a dark pink trim around the edges, the Sugar Lilly seemed quite popular as there was a bit of a line leading to outside the doors. Then again, they arrived around breakfast so many were grabbing something to eat before work, seeing so many people made the (H/c) haired girl excited as she knew their options must be quite delicious. Though as they stood there, she had noticed a male staring at her from the corner of her eye, he had long spiked red hair and wore a black leather outfit.
She could admit he was attractive but the look in his eyes made her nervous, they were cold and cruel making her subconsciously move closer to her silver fox. Though he didn't seem to notice and gave her hand a loving squeeze to display his affection, red eyes gazing over the crowd. She watched as another male approached the first, this one had long purple hair and approached the red-haired male as if he was a friend. She could vaguely hear them talk back and forth given how close they were, though they were just far enough away that they didn't feel the need to whisper.
She didn't really have to strain that hard to hear, but it was hard not to look over as she felt their eyes locked on her as they spoke. They mostly exchanged jokes, not specifying it was her they were joking about, but she still knew they were referring to her. She had learned that the red-haired male's name was Kai, as that's what the purple haired man had called him. He was the one that took it the next step, he spoke slightly louder and made a comment rather than a joke. "Damn, looks like the Lilly is gonna close early today when she gets in there... Assuming she could fit through the door."  The purple haired male looked a bit uncomfortable, clearly not wanting to take this rude joking into a malicious area. "What the hell are you doing man? People are starting to look at us, keep it down." His words were soft, and he continued to look around nervously, she almost felt bad for the boy. She understood what it was like to have a friend who seemed to love causing trouble, and then dragging her into the uncomfortable situation.
"Don't be such a coward, besides I'm just curious. After all, how does someone like her get a man like him? She'd crush his skull if she sat on his face!" His words were loud, and the purple male immediately began shaking his head and moving away, clearly attempting to remove himself from the situation entirely. Then she felt Ban's grip on her hand tighten, glancing up at his face she noticed he was no longer gazing over the crowd but rather glaring at the male. Many of the other customers began whispering about the red-haired male, it comforted her that so many people rejected his behavior. Though she was a little concerned when Ban moved her to his other side so that he was facing Kai with (Y/n) tucked behind him. "Now you listen here you little brat, a child like you shouldn't be bringing up such adult things." This seemed to offend and confuse the male, making him step closer as the people around them began to move back.
"What the hell did you just say!?" A sadistic grin spread across Ban's face at the male's rage, his crimson eyes near glowing as he rested his hands on his hips. "I said you were a child; a real man can recognize the fact that all women are beautiful. My little bunny here is gorgeous and the fact you can't recognize that tells me you're a wannabe playboy, you suck in bed and choose girls with very little experience so that you can flop around like a beached carp, and she won't know any better." Kai's face had nearly turned as red as his hair, though (Y/n) wasn't sure if it was from embarrassment or rage. Meanwhile Ban was still grinning widely, though his eyes were cold and deadly. "That's what makes us so very different, you see as a real man I'd be more than happy to die with my head squeezed between those luscious thighs and you can bet I'll be doing my job as her lover until my last breath. So why don't you run off back to school, I'm sure your mommy is worried about you." (E/c) eyes widened as the watched while Kai seemed ready to explode, but to her surprise he had turned and left, leaving the crowd around them to whisper amongst themselves. It made the (H/c) haired girl a bit nervous as she blushed deeply, though she was surprised to hear a soft round of applause. It seemed they had the townspeople's support.
Ban had wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close as he pressed a kiss to her forehead, his other hand coming up to caress her cheek gently. He said nothing but she knew what he was telling her. From there the day had been fun, a few people let them go in front of them so that she and Ban could get their desired foods and they managed to find a couple dresses she adored. All in all, the day had actually been rather great, thanks to her sinful fox.

CHIMES OF THE HEART
❃ a wind breaker (satoru nii) reader insert.
CHAPTER 4
Violence is the answer to everything in this world (not really). (3.3k words)
Tumblr media
content warning: female reader, original characters, character background, slight ooc i fear
When I was little, I often found myself looking forward to the sound of the wind chime as it danced with the breeze. It was fairly quiet inside the shrine when it was just Hayami, me, and a man named Sojiro while waiting for the officiants to inhabit the divine structure.
Furin was my only companion—acting as if its bell were telling me stories from the outside world. It's been there ever since I could remember, and no one bothered to place another one.
Just like the wind chime, I was alone.
While the grownups worked, I occupied myself with little tasks that my stubby fingers could manage. Sometimes I took out a book they had in the study and ran to the adults to ask what certain words meant. I became more involved with the shrine as I grew older, not as a Miko, but just as a random helper.
I was essentially free to do what I wanted. So when I was 10, I expressed my wish to venture out of the shrine.
"Hey, old man," I greeted Sojiro, tending to the flowers near the statues. His head perked up upon hearing my voice and greeted me back. As odd as it sounded, Sojiro wanted me to call him that way despite his youthful appearance.
"Hi there, little miss," Sojiro says as he stands up to face me, "what's today's agenda?"
For as long as I can remember, Hayami and Sojiro have been caring for me since. I haven't really asked about their relationship, or who my parents were since there was no need to do so. I was fine with how things were for the past couple of years, but the books I read and my trips to the market while accompanying Hayami made me yearn for more.
And so I was determined to confront them that day.
I showed him the book I was carrying. Kusamakura by Natsume Soseki.
Not really something a ten-year-old would read, but I had nothing better to do in this shrine.
"Oh, that's one of Hayami's favorite novels," Sojiro says. "An artist sets on a journey in search of beauty and inspiration for life and art. It's a simple read but very worth it to understand what it's like to be an artist." The man beams, totally lost in his thoughts. I let out a sigh, "That's not what I came for, old man."
"Ah, my bad! You know I get too excited about stuff like that." Sojiro laughs and pats my head, "So, let's cut to the chase. You want to go outside, right?" He chuckles as soon as my face contorts to that of a shocked expression. Sojiro is a man full of secrets.
"H-how'd you know?"
He shows me his infamous grin with eyes closed, "It's a secret power of mine!"
He pats my head, ruffling it in the process, "But sorry kiddo, we can't really make that happen." Already rejected before I could speak the speech I prepared. "Hayami will explain to you once you're older, but right now you have to stay here, 'kay? Think of it as a special mission given by the gods!" I was about to sulk and curse whoever made that decision when Sojiro perked up, "But hey that reminds me! The priest decided to assign you as bodyguard for the Mikos." I let out an audible sound of confusion, telling him I barely knew how to throw a punch. The best I could do was to bite someone like a sewer rat.
"That's why I'm gonna train you starting tomorrow!"
By sheer determination and fear of being on the receiving end of Sojiro's sword and fist (both hurt equally), I became a competent bodyguard for the officiants at the age of 14.
"The wind feels very nice, doesn't it (F/n)?" Manami, one of the older Mikos, glances at the fully bloomed cherry blossom trees by the river.
"Yeah, pretty lucky we got to go out today!" I excitedly say. Becoming the bodyguard for the Mikos allowed me to at least go out more often. It was always fun accompanying the women of the shrine outside, teaching me all sorts of stuff that can't be picked up from books.
"The priest doesn't really trust outsiders let alone men to protect the girls, so he's hoping to rely on us, (F/n)." I recalled Sojiro's words on our first day of training. It was a day full of bruises, and many more came after that but the strength I currently possess made it all worth it. I find myself more comfortable fighting with a sword though, and Sojiro encourages me to keep at my training.
I established one rule as a bodyguard.
To never take someone's life.
The two of us continue talking, heading back to the steps leading to the shrine after buying gifts from the market. We were a few blocks away from returning to our refuge, until I felt a tug on my hakama's left sleeve.
"What is it, Manami?"
"Can we maybe, stay outside for a bit longer?" She timidly asks.
"But we promised to only go to the market," I reluctantly answered, but seeing her crestfallen face made me double take. I guess she's just tired of Miko duties...
"It's just for a moment, I promise! There's something I need to see."
She leads me to a shop that sold fireworks and the like.
"I'd like to get one of these for summer!"
I watched as she hurriedly went inside the shop, already browsing the many varieties of explosives. How do we hide the fireworks from Hayami and the priest, I deadpan.
I was too occupied with my thoughts, but I know for one someone in black just went past me. Still bothered by how I'm supposed to hide the fact we went somewhere other than the market, the scream of a woman registered late to me.
I hurriedly ran inside the shop and saw a dark-haired man in a suit dangerously near Manami.
"Let her go!" I yell as I grab the hilt of my sword.
Upon closer inspection, it became clear that the man was actually just a tall teenager from his features. He must be an artistocrat or something.
"Please fight outside my shop!" The shop owner yells to no avail.
"Are you cosplaying a samurai?" The boy hums, letting go of Manami. She stumbles back but was helped by the store owner. "She took the last sparkler I wanted to buy," he says mockingly while approaching me.
"But I've lost interest now." His tone suddenly drops, approaching slowly as he inspects me and my sword—and to say I'm frightened is an understatement. I've fought many men before, but his aura screamed something awfully dangerous.
I knew right then and there I'll die if I try fighting him.
"Is that sword for real? Must be serious business, huh?" he grins as he points at my sword.
I scoffed, "Wanna see for yourself?"
"Fine with me..." He raises his right arm, my grip on my sword's hilt and scabbard tightening, "been wanting to take out someone armed."
He swiftly tried to go for my neck, but I nearly blocked him with my sword, the blunt edge of the blade near my cheek and the sharper side near the man's wrist. "Don't move a muscle, or the blade will cut you."
His lips twitch, but not so much to pass as a grin, "I'll look forward to that."
Even though I tried resisting, his strength overpowered me by the end and I lost control over my blade. I stared helplessly as my sword fell to the ground, waiting for his fist to strike me. It
"You're interesting! Let's meet again when we're a bit older." He pats my shoulder, walking out of the store. "How about when we're both 16, 'kay?"
He walked unscathed out of the store as I scrambled towards Manami who was shaken.
She and I swore to never talk about the incident ever.
It was then that I realized I'm still weak.
Was I even fit to protect others?
Although I never wished to encounter that man again, the world had different plans for me.
Turns out he was just the start of this madness, and there were more to follow.
❋❋❋❋❋❋❋❋❋❋
You watch the boy from across the room as he sleeps peacefully, just like a child after throwing a fit. That night, he established social distancing before heading to bed, saying he didn't want to accidentally do stuff he'd regret in his sleep.
It was painfully obvious that he was nervous the whole night, stiff as a rock and barely breathing. He eventually (and with difficulty) fell asleep though, thankfully. Sakura would probably stay asleep for a couple more hours, so you decided to get a head start and freshen up for the day.
You unfold the piece of clothing that served as a makeshift pillow last night, recognizing that this is what Sojiro called a hoodie. It smelled very minty and upon checking the pockets, you see some suckers with different flavors. These look really good...
This must belong to Sakura, but no harm in trying it out right? The hoodie, that is. You've had enough of stealing's someone's food. The apparel was obviously loose and too big, but it makes one admire the craftsmanship with how warm and comfortable it felt.
He told you that night that his friends brought in food and clothes, so you excitedly checked the bag. It's filled with clothes that you used to dream of trying out, too tired of the usual hakama back at the shrine. Nothing bad about being traditional, but seeing vibrant colors and patterns other than flowers and birds makes you feel all giddy inside.
One of the shirts had a drawing of a white cat with a red ribbon. This character often appeared in the teen magazines Sojiro brought back from trips. Why he bought them is beyond you (it's so that you can check out what girls your age like, he says).
This is super adorable! You think while holding the shirt.
The bumpkin has now been in contact with Sanrio characters.
Taking out pants that you think fits the shirt with the white cat, you find the bathroom to freshen up and change.
If Hayami saw you right now, she'd probably start calling you out for looking scandalous. A huge part of your legs and thighs were exposed, and the shirt definitely hugged the torso a bit too much to what I'm you're to, but the cute design is too much to pass up on.
Styling your hair in your preferred way to complete the new look, you step out of the bathroom, seemingly trying your best to fit in with the folks of this city (and accordingly to the magazines).
It seems that Sakura is still out cold. Worriedly, you approached his figure hunched in a fetal position to check his temperature. Your face neared his and touched your foreheads together. Upon contact, it didn't seem like he was ill, but after a few seconds he began heating up rapidly.
You were greeted by his heterochromatic eyes, too wide for someone who was just sleeping moments ago. Didn't this happen already?
"W-WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" He stammers, backing to a wall behind him.
"Checking your temperature, what else? You were out cold for a while."
He wipes his forehead rapidly like you spread germs on it. Rude.
"Aren't you the sick one here? Stop worrying about me, damn it!"
You unknowingly pout and look at the floor, "I was just worried." Rolling your eyes towards him, he looks away in return.
He clicks his tongue, refusing to look you in the eye. Is he allergic to affection or something?
"So much for a morning call." You stretch, standing up to head out. "I'm feeling all better now, can we go outside?"
"Someone's gonna pay you a visit, so sit your ass down!" He turns on his phone and starts swiping his fingers.
Nirei

Breakfast is on me!

He sees Bofurin's leader still writing another message and waits for it. When it does get sent, he suddenly gets conscious.
Umemiya
Kotoha hopes you're wearing something other than a shirt and boxers, she says!
Sakura immediately looks at himself and suddenly whips his head towards you.
"How come you didn't tell me I was just wearing boxers in front of 'ya the whole time?!"
You blink repeatedly, "You were bothered by that? If it makes you feel better, I've seen uncles only in their loincloths."
He turns red and immediately scrams to the bathroom to check for his used pants.
❋❋❋❋❋❋❋❋❋❋
"Wow, so this is your school uniform?"
Sakura comes out of the bathroom in his iconic green gakuran and pants, acting smug and proud to be wearing symbolic garments. You clapping and looking with amazement just made his head bigger, saying stuff like "Woah, so trendy!" and "You look like a model!"
A knock on the door interrupted the duo's little fashion show, with Sakura heading towards the door to invite his guests.
He sees Umemiya, Suo, Nirei, and Kotoha all carrying bags.
"Morning, Sakura!" Everyone followed suit with their morning greetings, taking off their shoes as they entered his apartment.
"Oh! Looks like our little ghost has recovered now," Umemiya smiles as he takes a seat in front of you. "I'm Umemiya Hajime, but you can call me big bro if you'd like!" He beams.
He starts rummaging the bag he brought out, "Hope you like soup and omurice!"
Kotoha approaches you and waves hello, to which you bow in reply. She was taken aback, saying there was no need to be formal. "Kotoha is fine! And the clothes look really good on you!" She starts gushing about taking you to the shopping district with someone named Tsubaki, happy to have another female companion.
"We've brought you some snacks, courtesy of the class!" Nirei shows you the contents of the bag filled with unfamiliar bags, "O-oh! I'm Nirei Akihiko by the way. If you need help navigating Makochi, I'm your guy!"
The last of the visitors wore an eye patch and felt immensely mysterious, boasting quite the powerful aura. Thinking about it, three of them held overwhelming auras, Umemiya's in particular was overflowing. You didn't notice that you were staring too hard at the eye-patched boy.
"My name is Leonardo DiCaprio!"
Oh! A foreigner, you beamed.
"Don't fall for that, (F/n)!" Sakura points accusingly at Suo, "That guy's Hayato Suo, make sure you're extra careful around him."
"You wound me, Sakura. I thought we were friends," Suo fakes a sigh. "And you're on a first name basis with her."
Sakura blushes, "That's her first name?!"
Nirei realizes and hides his face using his notebook, feeling giddy to have another female friend on a first name basis, "I-it feels really embarrassing to be on a first name basis already!"
"You already gave her your lap yesterday, a name is nothing at this point," Suo chuckles.
You think for a bit, and it reminds you that everyone back at the shrine never mentioned a family name. Gods, am I adopted? Am I the next Momotaro?
"I don't know my parents, and no one really told me about other stuff about them."
Everyone stops and looks at you with a somber expression.
Umemiya lets out a loud wail, eyes comically tearing as he tries to go in for a hug, "Ume-nii and Kotoha over here will be your family then!!!"
Nirei feels himself tear up as well, unable to imagine living a life without knowing who his parents were. Suo's face remained neutral, mouth forming a line and unable to say something to lift the mood.
Sakura on the other hand just stares at you, eyes soft and looking as if he sees himself in you.
"But don't worry about me! I still grew up with caring adults," your smile falters for a bit, wondering how Hayami and Sojiro were faring after your escape. "Let's all eat! Big day ahead of us."
Kotoha begins handing out soup and takeout omurice, "What happened to you anyways? If you don't mind me asking,"
You choke on a potato, clearing your throat before speaking, "Oh uh...I made an enemy out of an aristocrat, he decided to marry me or else he'll destroy my home, but my caretakers wanted me to run away, and now I am searching for something here in this town. Yes, I think that accounts for everything so far!"
"That's quite the story." She says, not sure if she was concerned or amused.
Suo pieces the situation in his head, "I assume that's why you were in a white kimono." Everyone realizes and looks at him, "Do you think your husband will search for you?"
You correct Suo, saying you're technically not wed yet. He mutters a small apology. "I don't want to get married to a man like him."
They all feel the spite and anger behind your words.
You look sternly at everyone, "It's also why I needed to get away from everyone as soon as possible. I fear I'll get you all caught up in this mess."
Everyone hears a scoff from Sakura who was gulping down food just earlier, now looking at you with a smirk.
"Thanks for telling me bits of your story," he puts down his now finished bowl of soup and omurice.
"We just gotta beat up that guy, right?"
changed the writing style for a bit, hope its okay (;^ω^)

When Sunday comes, you sit in the living room of your house in LA. A generous bowl of ice cream, complete with crushed cookies and whipped cream, sat before you while the tv showed the sports channel. You couldn’t quite call yourself a sports fan, but there’s a reason you are tuned in – you wanted to see his face again.
Pictures as nice as they were, simply didn’t do him any justice. You needed to see that genuine smile, and maybe, just maybe, when the camera focused on him, you could see that smile you liked so much.
Friday night was one of the best nights in your life, for sure. But between all the giggles and your racing heartbeat, you’d forgotten to ask for his number. It’s the only thing you regret from that night. Because when you let your mind wander back to that backyard, your entire body quivered with excitement.
His lips are soft against yours. The whiskey lingered on his lips but he had a sweet natural taste. His hands are squeezing your face with just the right amount of pressure, sending you to the moon. You wished that night would have lasted forever.
As cheers erupted from the TV, you got out of your pool of thoughts as the game started. The stadium’s music fills the place as the teams line up to greet the crowd. The camera pans from the fans to the players, capturing their energy.
The announcer’s voice presents with enthusiasm to the MVP – “Most Valuable Player,” which you quickly deciphered. Perhaps you needed to get your hands on a baseball magazine to stop feeling so lost.
When the camera zooms in on his face, you see his big pretty smile. He waves to the crowd, everyone chants his name clapping and jumping. They love him, he is a big deal.
His eyes make contact with the camera lens, and you blush, feeling he is watching directly at you. He waved at the camera, slightly winking. He winks at you, he knows you are watching.
“Good luck, Steve” you mumble, grabbing your bowl of ice cream and getting comfortable to watch the game.
Your cat jumps at you, falling on your tummy and waking you up. You weren’t sure when you fell asleep, but you glanced at the TV, and the game was over. Steve’s smile is bright as he celebrates with his teammates - they have won.
You felt guilty for falling asleep, but thankfully the sports channel has a segment that analyzed the game's best moments afterward. So that’s what you focus on for now, watching Steve being a natural talent, swinging the bat like he is the king of the stadium while everyone is enamored by his smile.
Your phone dings for the first time in the night. You sigh, the bright screen a bit harsh on your sleepy eyes as you check the text from an unknown number.
unknown: “hey :)”
You try to guess who it is but nothing comes to mind. Your friends are all saved in your contact list, you haven’t made any friends recently. Then it hits you like a wave, it was him. You try to match his chill tone, hiding your excitement like a little kid on christmas.
you: hi, who are you?
unknown: did you see how I winked at you on tv?
you: oh, Steve. yes, I saw it!
You think about a clever way to save his contact before he responds.
you: if you couldn’t already tell… I blushed right away
little secret: Really?? I wish i’d see that, i like it when you blush
you: next time I will send you a pic, hope is not a big of a distraction :’)
little secret: Are you kidding? I was thinking about you all the time and i did good
you: I saw, congratulations! You are amazing!
little secret: Thank you, gorgeous. Hey, my team wants to go out for drinks but, can I see you over the week?
His charm even shows over texts.
you: Sure, uh is this a date?
little secret: Absolutely, I have something in mind. I hope you are free on thursday
you: I am, see you then
little secret: Can’t wait, good night beautiful
you: Goodnight, handsome ♡
You lock your phone after the text and lay back on the couch, holding your phone to your chest with the biggest smile on your face. You are going on a date, you haven’t been to one in a long time, it’s something exciting but also makes you nervous. You know you can't tell anyone about this, it has to remain a secret. But if anyone could keep a secret, it was your best friend, Robin.
You quickly send her a text, inviting her to your place tomorrow. She says yes, assuring you that she’d catch the next flight to LA as soon as possible. You’d mentioned you had good news and bad news about a boy, and she couldn’t wait to talk to you.
__
Robin was about to have a heart attack over the news. Her jaw nearly hit the floor and you remained frozen in your seat. She leaned in, placing her hands on your shoulders, giving you a swift shake.
“This is fucking insane!”
“So?” you ask.
“I mean, everything sounds like something out of a movie and I didn't think you were into athletes? You only date actors mostly…”
“Robs” you interrupt her before she says something even more embarrassing than your dating life.
“Yeah, it’s great but you… are you sure of this? Can you keep it a secret when both of you are being constantly harassed by paparazzi? And are you sure it’s worth all the trouble? Are you sure that he is good for you and not just looking for his fifteen minutes of fame?”
All of these questions make your head spin. You didn't think about it like this. Like a serious thing. You were having fun texting Steve in the morning before you had to pick Robin at the airport. But she is right, all of this feels like it belongs to a movie. Deep down, you believe it could really work.
“No, that’s why we are keeping it a secret and I believe we can make it. He is a good guy, Robin”
“You have known him for what? Three days? How can you be sure? I don’t want to see you crying over a douchebag again”
And she is right again. Her lawyer-like ability comes in handy when she is giving you advice. You grew up together, both of you have a great career but she has never left your side and always supports you. As your best friend, she just wants to protect you too.
“I’ll take it slow. I will be so careful, I promise” You smile at her, and she hugs you tight.
“You have to think about it with the seriousness it requires”
“Can you stop talking like you are in a courtroom?”
She laughs. “Tell me you haven’t written a song about him”
You pulled away from the hug, gently. Your gaze falls over to your lap to hide your cheeks, which are tinted pink.
“Oh, you did… in two days?”
“I wrote it all at midnight and finished around two. I still need the melody”
“Your fans are going to go crazy when they find out” She bumps your arm slightly with her fist.
“Now, what are we doing? There is a concert at night of that metal band you like”
“Corroded Coffin?” she shakes her head in disbelief.
“Yeah, them. Do you want to go? I can get special tickets”
“Of course. I can get special tickets too”
“How?” you ask.
“I’m friends with the lead singer, I helped them with some legal issues. You know, rock stars and their passion for destroying hotel rooms”
“Then what are we waiting for? Let’s go!” you take her hand and lead her to your room, where you can get changed while dancing. You pop out a bottle of champagne to celebrate her company. You two are usually busy with work,  but it’s always good to see her.
The concert is great. It’s one of those private concerts, with no cameras, no obsessive fans taking thousands of pictures, and no one from the media. You enjoy the music as you sit next to Robin, who chats with Corroded Coffin’s manager, Nancy.
You want to ask for a fancy drink, not just a beer as usual. You watch the bottles of whiskey and just as magic, you hear a voice.
“Soft spot for whiskey?” He sits on a stool beside you and asks the bartender for two cups of whiskey.
“Steve!” your first instinct is to hug him, you throw your arms around his body and he wraps his on your waist.
“Hey, gorgeous. What are you doing in a metal concert?”
The bartender hands you both your drink, uninterested in your interaction and you keep your hands on Steve’s arms.
“My friend-” you turn around but Robin is nowhere to be found. She’s probably somewhere with the band’s manager you met before. “She worked for this band when they had a problem with their hotel rooms”
“Yeah, typical rockstar shit” he laughs, drinking his whiskey and never taking his eyes off you.
“What are you doing here? I thought you were resting,  you had a great game yesterday”
He smiles as bright as ever hearing your praise.  “Thank you” he nods. “I’m friends with the lead singer, we used to go to high school together”
“Oh, you guys have been friends for a while?”
“No, not at first, but now we’re pretty good friends. I’m glad he moved out of town and now he is a big star. He’s had this band since before we met, and  I’m proud of them”
“You sound like a great friend. You are a big star too!” you tell him, taking a sip of whiskey to encourage you.
“Look who's talking, the biggest star ever,” he chuckles, his hand finds the edge of your stool and pulls it closer to him. Your body loses its balance and Steve places a hand on your back to catch you. His arms are strong, and his touch on your body feels just right. He is looking at you like a masterpiece in a museum.
You blush immediately, your heart thumps against your chest.
The music gets inevitably louder, you turn to watch the stage. Steve keeps his arm around your waist for the rest of the night. Everyone jumps and head bangs with the rhythm of the music, this is nothing compared to your shows. It’s a different energy, it’s good and it’s fun and it makes you laugh. Steve turns to see you smile, he grins and leaves a kiss on your cheek.
Noticing no one is paying attention to you, you get brave and turn to kiss him. Your hand is pressed against his cheek while his lips move softly against yours, he squeezes your body with his arm pressing you against his chest. This is a different kiss, it’s quicker and it feels hotter.
Robin’s question lingered in your mind. Are you moving too fast? Is this going to work? But you know she had a point, you promised to be careful.
You break the kiss, leaning your forehead to touch his. His breath mixing with yours, he feels something is wrong but decides not to ask.
The place goes louder as Corroded Coffin finishes his shows, the lights go off and that’s when you get back to your seat. Steve decides it’s not really the place or time to talk about what’s going on. He’d figure it out soon, even if it meant losing some sleep over it.
“I have to go get my friend, it was lovely to see you again” You reach for his hand and he takes yours, giving a gentle squeeze. You get closer to his face as before, only to press a sweet peck on his cheek  “I’ll see you on Thursday, Steve”
The lights are now bright so people can find their way out. It makes both of you nervous that people can see you now. Steve doesn’t care much, getting close to you and leaving a peck on your cheek, just like you did. He hugs you wrapping his arms around your neck and getting close to your ear to whisper “Have a sweet night, beautiful”
His soft but deep tone makes the butterflies in your stomach flutter. It was as if honey dripped from his mouth.
You smile as Robin gets to you, perfect timing. Steve walks off to join Eddie backstage, and you head home with Robin to have a perfect sleepover for old time's sake.
__
“Are you sure about this?” Nancy asks, as Eddie gets lost in his six pack of beer that some groupie left in his dressing room.
“I am! She is amazing and beautiful” Steve insisted. He knew he’d only officially met you for three days now, but he had had a crush on you for a long time. “I made a move, and things are moving swiftly”
“What’s wrong with that, Nance? Big boy is finding the love of his life!” Eddie helps Steve, trying to make him feel better. However Nancy keeps her arms crossed in front of her chest. He knows Steve has a big heart, but sometimes he can be so out of touch with his emotions, it tends to hurt people.
“Nothing is wrong if he’s sure he can take care of her,” she says, both of the boys in the room glance at their friend like little kids being yelled at by their mom. “And what is Hopper going to say about it? You know he doesn’t want you distracted from your games”
Hopper had taken Steve under his wing, training him after he recognized Steve had talent. The four of them left behind so much in Hawkins to follow their dreams, they just can’t risk it.
“He doesn’t mind. I’ll be okay, really” Steve tried to reassure them.
But Steve knows it is going to cost. Because his ego can get to him, he needs to be the best to show everyone he is capable of it. He likes the winning, the praise, the trophies. He couldn’t handle losing. He can’t afford getting distracted.
“And she is not just another girl in town for a one night stand” Eddie adds. “She is the prettiest, most loved, and most talented girl in… the whole world actually”
Then there was you, the girl Steve had fallen for in just one night. The girl who had him waking up earlier than usual to send you a ‘Good morning, gorgeous’ text as soon as the sun peeks from his window. He loved it when your sleepy ‘Good morning, handsome ♡’ showed up in his notifications and he would reply as soon as he finished off with training at his home gym.
God. It has happened one time and Steve wants it to be forever. But it would be so much better if instead of you waking up with a text, you wake up next to him. He can already imagine you sleepy face, your disheveled hair falling on your naked shoulders after a night of– Earth to Steve!
“Exactly, but only if the secret plan works. If this goes public and you hurt her, everyone is going to make your life miserable, starting with her best friend”
“Ooohhh, and that’s when we leave Big boy alone and focus on little Nance, getting a date with that fancy lawyer I see?” Eddie teases, Steve sighs in relief that the conversation shifted away from him.
“I do have a date with her. But Eds, please stop destroying hotel rooms” Nancy says, and Eddie couldn’t help but chuckle at their playful banter.
Steve laughs at his friends and how they start bickering, but an uncomfortable feeling of anxiety sits right in his stomach. This has to work, he better not fuck it up. He likes you, he wants you.

it's an odd feeling, telling his nephew about himself.
but it is clear that the young man sitting across from iroh is not his nephew- as much as he might have zuko's face and body. even with the knowledge of his true self, he still treats him as a distant stranger- one that he must be deeply respectful of, but still a stranger. katara has kept him abreast of the situation, though he suspects there is something the young waterbender has been keeping to herself.
looking at lee, he suspects he can sense what it is.
he tells lee of zuko's agni kai.
he tells him what lead to it. lee looks surprised at zuko's outrage at the planned sacrifice of young soldiers. he is not sure he can blame him- he can only imagine what zuko's reputation is in the earth kingdom. to them he was only a banished prince, disloyal to his father and punished for it without knowing the exact reason why. he had chased the avatar with the intent of turning him over to his father, and then had helped conquer ba sing se.
iroh holds nothing back.
he tells lee of zuko. of how he let himself be redefined by his anger after the agni kai. but he also tells him that he helped the avatar escape pohuai stronghold, even if his reasons for doing so were less than pure. he tells them of their life as refugees. he tells them of zuko's choice under lake laogai, when he freed appa.
he tells him of how he chose to ally with his sister during the coup.
lee listens to him quietly- but it is like he is being told a story about another person. someone he's never met. when iroh is finished, lee exhales, as if he's been holding his breath all this time. it has been some time since iroh started speaking, but there is still steam rising from lee's cup.
"he wasn't happy," lee says, "-was he?"
"no," iroh admits, "-not for a long time. not since his mother disappeared."
lee cannot meet his eyes. he opens his mouth and shuts it, like there is something he wishes to say, but cannot manage. iroh sighs, and gives him his word as fire lord that whatever he wishes to say to him, he can say it without consequence. lee takes in a deep breath, and slowly lets it out.
"i don't know," he admits, "-if I want to go back."
and there it is, out in the open.
it would not be the first child iroh has lost to ba sing se. this is perhaps a kinder way to lose one. zuko would not be himself, but he could be happy there. they will have to deal with lan-wei and azula, but if that is the path he wishes to choose... then iroh will support it. he asks him only to think about it before he makes his choice.
deep down, he has wondered if a distant promise of happiness was what finally made zuko surrender.
"lady mai tells me this is the royal family's personal villa," lee says after a moment, "-but I don't know this place. I've never been here before, but there are portraits all over the place of someone who looks just like me. i can't get comfortable here."
"...I think I need to go home. to ba sing se."
"and if you go," iroh asks, "-will you be able to make up your mind?"
lee nods. iroh heaves a sigh. in truth, he does not want to let him go. but his nephew must make his own decisions. he is eighteen now. nearly an adult. the last time iroh tried to force him into seeing things his way, it did not end as he'd hoped. not for himself- nor for zuko.
"then go," iroh says, "-one way or another, you will find the answers you seek there."

With every touch
Tumblr media
Hot take: in contrary to a popular opinion, people do consider xanxus' scars ugly. not you though - with every touch you heal a broken man.
just a rambling about his scars without a plot idk
Warnings: kinda short but i put my soul in it; huge UNAPOLOGETIC OOC, i wanna see my man happy at least once; 100% wrong grammar, english is not my native; no beta we die like tyl tsuna
Note: they always portrait xanxus' scars as something hot, but there is probably a reason he doesn't like'em, huh? In short, not-so-popular opinion that people tend to be terrified of a huge man with ugly scars
Tumblr media
Oh, that man...My battered, cruel man.
At first Xanxus was furious to even look at himself in the mirror. Every of them probably was shattered and he felt so too. Windows curtained, lights off - he avoided any possibility of seeing himself until Superbia had to beat some sense into his boss.
His father left him tainted, how could he? Always reminded being number two, number two, a nuisance, a mistake. A reminder of a ruined life that he can never fix.
Not only that, Xanxus started noticing that people...didn't like them, to say the least. Xanxus being Xanxus, he at some point likes it (coping? question mark?) since he enjoys to be feared and respected, you can't take that away from him, but he was still young and impressionable when he got them.
Like what, he got frozen at 16 and got rescued still having the same mentality? He was...not a child but not an adult either.
Civilians tend to side eye him. You don't have to be smart to know such scars are not an accident and he is not some fucking florist, y'know what I mean? It is a branding of a life he lives and the one that will kill him one day.
His whole body - and in every way too fucking visible place - deformed with the thick layer, it feels as if his skin was melting at some point. It's rough, harsh and bumpy to the touch but Xanxus couldn't give more shit since he can't even feel those.
He doesn't like to touch his face and not feel anything, cause scars are so fucking deep
And it is an ironic cycle - Xanxus gets angry at those scars, and they get bigger, and he gets even angrier-
He hates his father so much.
Tumblr media
Oh yeah, for some reason we all consider Xanxus as a womanizer but hear me out he is very selective because he is proud to an unhealthy manner
He would fuck some annoying lesser boss' wife to humiliate him, fight me on this take
Probably tried to have several sugar babies and random one night stands
Tried
None of them mentioned it out loud but he could notice their...disgust? Xanxus would light like a match instantly - he is fucking Xanxus, how dare they?
how dare they remind him what a mistake he is?
Xanxus gets black-out drunk while cleaning his weapon way too much and considers this his life. Who needs feelings and others anyway?
His past shape him, so he will live at least out of spite. Every scar reminds him of why he was hated by a man he thought as a father - too furious, too dangerous, too ambitious.
So be it.
Tumblr media
But then there is you...
Xanxus likes your cheeks. You could never tell that though, since he is very distant, but they are so...soft. Untouched. He will touch them rarely, covering with "you pig got some dirt on your face"
He will get furious if anyone dares to leave even the smallest scar on your body. And we're not talking about just angry but "blind rage" angry. He won't let you live through mafia experience the way he did. It can be even "ouch, he scratched me while trying to capture" - he doesn't care. Even this slight scar still has a memory of your capture left on you body
He knows you're strong even if you have never held a gun in your hand - that's why you're his in the first place. But man has some unresolved issues, m-kay?
But his hickeys and marks are okay. That little-little hypocrite.
They were left meaning his deepest emotions though, right?
The touch moment happens - surprise - not during sex. It's a random kiss in the cheek. It's when you cling to his arm as if it doesn't look like fresh from the meat grinder.
You touch his skin so softly as if this man is not forged through pain and blood
They say severe scar skin is so thick it cannot feel anything - and so thought Xanxus about himself - anymore, but why does he feel like he is burning every time you do that?
With every touch Xanxus melts
His past shapes him, he says. But doesn't define him, you add.
Every scar shows strength and is a reminder of how strong your man is. He is still here and - very gladly - keeps fighting (even when he shouldn't)
With every touch Xanxus melts until one day this huge man bends down to put his head on your shoulder, his scarred cheek touching yours.
He hugs you. And you kiss this very cheek, finding peace in his warmth and bitter - but oh so dear smell - of alcohol and gunpowder
