Are you familiar with Cloud Foundry Korifi ? In a nutshell, it is a solution that allows "cf push" against Kubernetes.

So I installed that Korifi on K3s, a lightweight Kubernetes.

Since K3s is not supported on MacOS, a virtual machine is set up using Multipass and K3s is installed.

Trillium at Jessup's Falls Conservation Area

In the heart of Jessup's Falls Conservation Area, this remarkable display of nature's delicate balance unfolds each spring. Here, the forest floor becomes a canvas painted with the white petals of Trillium flowers. This serene tableau is a testament to the enduring beauty of our natural ecosystems, inviting us to pause and appreciate the quiet majesty of the unfolding spring.

I try to visit every year and I have to say that this year was the best just from the sheer number of flowers; it was Trilliums as far as the eyes can see.

I used a low and close-up perspective, to emphasize the flowers in the foreground, making them appear large and prominent. The angle also helped convey the density and expanse of the floral carpet behind the main subject. Shallow depth of field helped isolate the large flower in front.

in high school, steve was known for his hair. and while those days were long behind him, the knowledge was engrained in him like a second language. and it certainly came in handy when it came time to do his girls' hair.

willow was easy to please; a couple of bows and she was jumping up and down screaming how much she loved him.

sage, ever the daddy's girl, was happy as long as steve was the one doing her hair, although she preferred a nice braid or two.

but rose? she would be the cause of many frustrating mornings in the harrington household.

"daddy, it doesn't look right!" whined the little girl as she looked at steve in the mirror. steve sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose. he loved his little girl, very very much, but god, sometimes she was the biggest dive he'd ever met next to eddie munson and dustin henderson.

"sweetheart, i've redone your braid 5 times already. what about it doesn't look right?" he asks as he undoes the braid.

"it's not perfect, it needs to be perfect for auditions." the 4 year old says, waving her hands around like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"you've been spending too much time with your uncle eddie." steve mumbles under his breath as he starts the braid over again.

finally, after 3 more attempts, rose deemed her hair "good enough" and waltzed downstairs. steve groans, flopping down into the chair rose was previously occupying. you pass by the room, snorting when you see the state of your husband.

"what happened to you?" you ask as you stand behind him, running your hands up and down his shoulders.

"i never knew that a 4 year old could care so much about a single braid. and what audition is she even talking about? she's in preschool." he asks as he looks up at you, a tired smile on his face.

"ah yes. her preschool is hosting a talent show, but i don't think she quite realizes that every one else is participating as well." you explain with a laugh.

there's a pause before steve speaks again. "are we raising a mini eddie?" he whispers. that makes you laugh really loudly, shaking your head as you pat him on the shoulder.

"no, stevie. we're being bossed around by a mini eddie."

Morgen (1 december) begint de top 2000 stemweek en als je me volgt weet je waarschijnlijk al wat ik je ga vragen te doen.

Het zou mij echt ontzettend gelukkig maken als we dit jaar K3 in de top 2000 krijgen en specifiek Oya Lélé.

Waarom?

Vind het leuk of niet, K3 is al 25 jaar een groot onderdeel van de Nederlandstalige cultuur. Ik durf te wedden dat bijna iedereen in Nederland wel een paar K3 nummers kent en toch staan ze niet in de top 2000 terwijl een super niche nummer als Tubular Bells, Part One dat 25 en een halve minuut duurt er wel in staat!

K3 viert dit jaar hun 25 jarig bestaan, Oya Lélé is zelf 20 jaar oud dit jaar K3 de top 2000 in stemmen is een goede manier om dit te vieren (en dit wordt ook de 25ste editie van de top 2000)

Eerder dit jaar heb ik op mijn side blog een toernooi gehouden voor het beste K3 nummer. Oya Lélé heeft dit met overmacht gewonnen, wat mij bevestigd in de keuze om campagne te voeren voor Oya Lélé

Oya Lélé heeft in 2003 ook 18 weken in de Nederlandse top 40 gestaan, het langst van alle K3 nummers

Stem K3 als wraak op Spotify omdat ze K3 blijven negeren in de Wrapped lijstjes

Aurora Borealis May 10 2024

Last night, something truly magical unfolded right from my backyard. As I gazed northward, the night sky transformed into a breathtaking canvas of vibrant colors. Thanks to a series of potent solar storms, the Northern Lights were visible much farther south than usual, and I was lucky enough to capture this stunning phenomenon.

The colors were extraordinary. Swirls of green and purple danced across the starlit sky, a display supercharged by recent solar activity. This year, the sun is at a solar maximum, brimming with sunspots that lead to coronal mass ejections (CMEs). These CMEs have been hurling charged particles towards Earth, enhancing the auroras and making them visible across vast regions—including here in Ontario.

The NOAA had issued a G4 geomagnetic storm watch, indicating strong auroras driven by the second-strongest level of solar storm. Although these events can affect power grids and communication networks, last night’s event was purely a visual treat with no reported disruptions.

Witnessing this natural wonder was a reminder of the beauty and mystery of our cosmos. For those who missed it, keep your eyes on the sky; the current solar cycle promises more such displays.
