As the last candlelight fades, you retreat into the cosy embrace of your bed, snuggled up in the warmth of your blanket. Listening to the muffled sounds of the night, you wait patiently for the inevitable. Quickly and quietly, the hidden door in the wall of your chambers swings open, an enchanting routine that unfolds with each passing night. Your gaze turns to the entrance, a smile curling your lips as a figure with silvered hair slips gracefully into the room.
A slight bite on your lip betrays your anticipation, and your grin widens as your betrothed approaches. He removes his waistcoat and trousers and lies down in bed with you, immediately wrapping you in his arms. The gentle press of his lips against your hair, soft kisses and the familiar rumble emanating from his chest create an intimate atmosphere that you never dreamed possible with your future husband.
His fingers run over your form with a delicate touch, caressing the soft expanse of your skin. To the outside world, the rogue prince may appear to be a figure without such tenderness. But inside your chambers, a transformation is taking place – he longs to give you tenderness. And he has mastered the art of cuddling and caressing to perfection – and he honours your wish to defer the surrender of your maidenhead for the time being.
But that doesn't mean he keeps his fingers still. Daemon has already driven you to ecstasy countless times and pushed you to the limit. He has made you squirm and whimper and awakened a desire in you that makes you crave more and more.
His fingers slide southwards, but somehow it feels different this time. His fingers seem greedier and there's another slight grumble in his chest as he gently kneads your bum. "Love... come on, sit on my face," he suddenly murmurs into your neck as gentle kisses caress your skin. And never before has the blush rushed to your face so quickly.
"What...?" you mumble a little incredulously and feel a grin forming on his lips.
"Sit on my face..." he repeats, gripping your bum a little tighter.
"I-I heard you..." you whisper, "but... your face?". The familiar warmth in your lower abdomen spreads despite your irritation as memories of the wonders Daemon can perform with his tongue come to your mind.
A slight growl sounds again and vibrates in his chest, "I expect my future wife to take a seat on my face with her elegant arse... so that I can enjoy her to the full," he murmurs.
You're lost for words – not even a "what" leaves your lips. And as the silence spreads throughout your chambers, Daemon slowly pulls his head back and turns his gaze towards you. His purple eyes meet yours and he simply grins, enjoying the fact that you are at a loss for an answer. His princess, who is never at a loss for words, is speechless.
You're breathing a little heavily, your lips are slightly parted, but you feel his hands suddenly grab your hips and make you move slightly. Your gasp fills the air of your chambers, but you follow his movement.
"Daemon..." you say quietly, but you only feel his hands gripping the back of your thighs as you sit astride him. He smiles at you, and although you usually can't get enough of his smile, you know he's happy that you're so shy right now, and you'd love nothing more than to make him suffer right now.
His big hands don't let go of your thighs and push you further up and instead of a cheeky statement, you just gasp a soft "Daemon" as your hands grab the headboard of your bed and your warm core hovers right above his face.
You bite your lip lightly and look down. His smile remains hidden from you, but you are sure that the grin has not left his lips. His hands slowly slide up the back of your thighs under your nightgown and are suddenly on your bum. He grips it firmly, making you whimper, and then you feel him pull you down. The unforgettable sensation floods through you as his tongue glides through your folds. You whimper again and your hands literally dig into the wood of your bed.
Another "Daemon" escapes your lips and breaks the silence as he begins to slide his tongue inside you. His hands push you further down, further onto his face, letting his tongue penetrate you deeper. The worry that he might not get enough air leaves your mind as his tongue glides all the way through your wet folds and the vibration of his moan literally flows through you.
You moan as his tongue caresses your bundle of nerves. He only chuckles softly as you breathe heavily and moan again. But the artistry of his tongue doesn't let up. Not even when you finally grab your nightgown and pull it over your head.
It falls to the floor beside your bed, accompanied by Daemon's grunts as you move your hips and he continues to pleasure you with his tongue. He savours the sounds of your pleasure, the way your body writhes above him as he devours you with a possessive hunger.
He buries his face deep inside your most intimate part of your body as you suddenly feel him insert two fingers inside you.
As his lips close around your sensitive bundle of nerves again and he begins to suck, your moans echo through your chambers as his fingers continue to penetrate you. Daemon's tongue dances over your clit, applying just the right amount of pressure to elicit another moan from your lips. He plunges deeper, his tongue swirling around inside you, soaking up every drop of your arousal.
As if of your own accord, you push your cunt further towards him, wanting – no, needing – to feel more. Daemon grunts slightly as he senses how eager you are, angles his fingers differently and rubs the rough patch deep inside you.
"You like that, don't you?" he purrs against your folds, his voice full of satisfaction. "You like it when I taste you, when I make you cum," he growls as his tongue flicks faster and harder, his hand on your hip tightening as he pushes you closer to the edge. He's determined to bring you to the peak of pleasure, to make you scream his name once more.
But you can only moan loudly and bite your lip quickly so as not to make too much noise. But Daemon is watching you closely as he savours you. Your eyes are closed and you relish all his movements and caresses. Your mouth is open, but your breathing is intermittent and a whimper that ends in a moan leaves your lips.
Daemon inserts another finger into you and you cry out a little. Your one hand slides from the headboard of your bed into his hair, gripping it tightly as his tongue circles your clit faster and his fingers thrust into you.
"Daemon... Daemon... Daemon..." escapes your lips again and again as you breathe heavily. You feel him moan again as he notices how your cunt begins to clench around his fingers. And then it comes over you – you cry out slightly again as you come. Your eyes are closed as your hips continue to move.
But this time it feels different.
"Daemon.. stop," you whimper as his lips close tightly around your pearl again, his fingers thrusting further into you.
"Daemon..." you whimper again as a strong pressure builds up inside you. But he only growls again as his fingers continue their work, sucking even harder on your clit. Your eyes open again, your breathing quickens and you realise from his gaze that he's not going to stop.
"Daemon, stop!" you gasp, trying to sound serious. But then it happens. You cry out again slightly as the pressure suddenly eases, then moan out loud.
Daemon grunts loudly, swallows all your elixir and savours how you lose yourself completely in ecstasy. When the overwhelming feeling subsides, you look down into his eyes again. Your breathing hasn't calmed down yet, your cheeks are all flushed. Daemon sucks on your pearl one last time before letting go of you. You move slightly away from his face as his lips release you. A grin plays around his lips – his lips and chin are soaked.
You bite your lips a little embarrassed, "Daemon... I-I made a mess," you whisper.
Daemon wipes his mouth with his hand and pulls you down to him in one movement, wrapping you in his arms.
"I don't want to hear that, love..." he murmurs, showering you with soft kisses.
"My wife won't apologise for the climaxes she's about to experience... I want her to enjoy the full ecstasy," he whispers.
You look at him and suddenly a warmth flows through you that has never made you feel so good. You lean your head slightly in his direction and kiss his lips, your lips meet almost greedily and move in unison.
Over the muscles of his chest and stomach, your hand glides gently to his crotch and he responds with a slight growl as you rub his hard manhood, which presses almost desperately against his undergarments.
"Love... don't start something you can't finish..." he whispers against your lips.
But your fingers continue to glide slowly along his length, "Then.. show me how to finish it," you whisper a little shyly.
Daemon hesitates, looking at you questioningly as you suddenly free yourself from his arms and move downwards, just grinning slightly. As you kneel between his legs, you pull his undergarments down. His hard member springs free and you bite your lips as you see it twitch slightly.
"Show me..." you whisper a little uncertainly and look up at him a little helplessly. But Daemon just nods slightly and guides your hand to his hard member.

[ design notes ]
Alright so that took a bit longer bcs I wanted Ace to be ready as well, just so I could link his and Deuce's designs in a few aspects, and I'll talk about this in more detail later, for sir Ass Trampoline's future entry.
I know in that picture I said there was way too much free space on reference pics, but I'm just realizing I should have included one of Frankie bcs obviously they were a huge inspiration for Deuce's design as well 😭 both from G1 and G3. I initially chose the Frankenstein monster for him just for the fact that he's good with machines n stuff in canon, but later I realized the og story of Frankenstein had a lot to do with conflict between the creator and the creation, that if I squint it I can see the similarities between that and Deuce's character arc to change + his rocky relationship to his family, idk, can't really oversimplify the book's story but. I thought the themes could be very loosely connected 🧍 (?)
I should also add that the highlights on his hair match his mom's, that's cute. ALSO also his rings designs/placements don't really matter, I think he'd just wear whatever rings he finds without much preference.
For his AU personality and traits, well, he's just Deuce. Straightforward, diligent, at times naive, and clumsy Deuce. Story and background pretty much remains the same too, why not!
Sorry I didn't have much to say here, most of the notes I work on I write while in class or in the car (not the best places for concentration imo), bcs I'm not having much free time to stay still lately 😭 I'm hoping I didn't leave much of my hcs behind though!

A body moves on its own accord in its nature to protect. For Nanami, it comes with a cost this time. Even now, at his final breath, even when his numbed, scorched body pleads otherwise, fractured beyond repairable, Nanami chooses someone else’s life over his. There isn’t a doubt about this choice in his mind. All this fighting, all this suffering, this sacrifice—it was for someone worthwhile. For a generation with bright futures ahead of them, not meant for battles like these.
Nanami doesn’t see his act as a virtuous gesture. After all, this is his job, and protecting children is his duty. Perhaps part of him thinks he a coward to stand compliantly and let Mahito end his life, taking the easy way out.
His only regret—not being able to say goodbye to you. Even when all that remains is a silver of consciousness, you are his last memory. He thinks about how you are praying and waiting for his safe return at home, hating himself for not being able to give you the simplest things in life.
“Nanamin…”
In his hazy mist, he hears Itadori’s voice. Lost of vigor, echoing through the isolated platform of Shibuya station with the two of them burrowed deep in this mess. Poor child, he’s about to cry. That’s not a good look on a young man like him.
“Itadori-kun… You’ve got it from here.”
His eyelids are forced to close as the pain becomes unbearable, embracing the cold blackness behind his eyes.
But in that darkness, Nanami isn’t alone.
Rays of light catches up to him, scorching the path ahead of him: burning, igniting, freeing. It illuminates a straight road that leads him into the end of darkness. Nanami had never seen this road in his life, but when he did just now, for some reason, an overwhelming urge makes him walk down this path.
As he tries to walk, something behind his ear cries out his name, asking him to close his eyes once more. Something in him obliges to do so.
.
..
“Kento?” Someone calls out.
There are sounds of children giggling away, adults conversing casually in another language accompanied by tunes from local street performances. And most prominently, Nanami hears the waves, rhythmically resonates when it crashes against the shore. He blinks open his eyes.
Light sharply enters his sight, wincing, shielding his face with a risen hand. A shadowed figure stands in front of his sight, slowly becoming apparent as his eyes adjust to the light.
And it’s you, clutching a smile on your face. Your hair catches sun streaks in beachy strands, cheeks sparkle with sand speckles that illuminates your face in some kind of holy light. The clouds, voices and shore freeze when you giggle in your own little world.
“Darling...?” He speaks hollowly as if this is just a memory, fearing that it is, that means it’s all over for real. “Where—am I?”
The world moves again, sounds beginning to rise up into murmured chatter, and his gaze raises in line with the horizon where the sky meets the sea, looking into the deep blue beyond.
“By the beach, sleepyhead. The book’s no good?” You giggle once more, but this time the world doesn’t stop with you.
Nanami has a finger prop up a page in an opened book. He finds himself wearing a tropical button up and pants sitting on an inflatable chair with sand between his toes. “I guess not.”
He doesn’t remember when he got here or how he got here. But Nanami knows exactly where this place is. A famous beach in the east coast of Kuantan, Malaysia—Teluk Cempedak. He saw this view on a magazine once and told himself he would travel here on his day off. That was two years ago. So this is what it looks like in person?
“Did I sleep for long?” He asks.
“Long enough for me to get the both of us something to eat.” You say as you pass an ice cream cone to him. He turns to grab it, and when he does, Nanami’s neck snaps to the seat next to him. A monkey sits comfortably by his side with its grin stretched wide, surprising him so much he drops the ice cream onto the hot sand.
Nanami hears a few tiny click of shutters as both the monkey and you giggle in unison. The camera lens point directly at him.
“You got me. Very funny now.” Nanami sighs, but behind that irritated frown, there is a smile that he reserves only in your presence.
On cue, the monkey reaches over you as you try to enjoy your ice cream, snatches it off your hands, and escapes across the beach.
The two of you stand in shock for a moment, staring at each other, before bursting into quiet smirks and giggles. When the laughter subsides, Nanami brings you close, landing a kiss on your soft lips. He sees his own reflection in the glaze of your eyes, and he realises he haven’t seen himself so carefree in a long time, especially not since he went to Shibuya.
“So, does that mean you won’t make me delete the photos?”
“Since I’m in a good mood, I’ll let you keep it this time.” He says, then corrects himself as you light up. “As long as Gojo doesn’t get his hands on it.”
“What’s he going to do with a picture or two?” You play with your phone, nervously fumbling the screen.
“Knowing that guy, blackmail. Probably.”
“Well… please don’t get mad at me.”
That is when something dings in his pocket consecutively. He reaches for his phone, and he sees the name Gojo Satoru on his screen, spamming rows of laughing emojis.
“I’m sorry! Gojo already saved it. I can’t unsend it anymore.” You whisper, retreating with your head hang low.
Nanami sighs again, but this time with forgiveness. It doesn’t matter to Nanami anyway. Small things doesn’t matter when he’s with you. He kisses your lips to reassure you. “That’s okay. You’re okay. I’m not really upset.”
And it is at this moment, you can hear a roar of music in the background. Some local nostalgic tune, even if he had never heard this song before. Nanami’s feet taps to the beat of rhythm, and an idea surfaces in his head.
“My lady.” He stands to lean his torso into you, mesmerizingly gentleman. “May I have this dance?”
You hesitate at first, an onslaught of eyes staring at his bold gesture in the middle of a fairly crowded beach. Nanami looks up at you, his drooping eyelids and focused gaze only makes him ever the more persuasive. His charms can’t be denied. Reluctantly, you reach for his hand.
Nanami immediately pulls you in to a dance. Jiving through the sand forming love trails with your bare feet, letting the humid wind sweep and sway through the air. He spins you with a raised hand, and when you do, you notice the many pair of eyes on you, momentarily embarrassed.
“They’re watching, Kento…” You whisper.
“Let them watch.” He whispers back into your ear.
It starts with lively children weaving through the crowd to find the lone couple dancing. They punch their fists clumsily in the air, people cheering and awwing, and suddenly, more people joins, forming a circle. Dancing without any concern of the world. A conga line forms, and the crowd livens in cheers and chants when the two of you leaves the dance circle.
“Look what you’ve done.” You say.
“You know I am only charming when I’m not at work.”
He picks up his phone, finding almost ten texts from Gojo with his face Photoshopped in different memes. You laugh at some of them, even though Nanami seem annoyed. He powers down his phone before you get to see more, in case it gives you any ideas.
“That’s it. No more work texts on vacation. This trip is about us, and I’ll make sure you have a great time.”
And so he did. He took you to the best curry mee in town, and you had a sip of your teh tarik while overlooking onto the tide. He teases you with a tired loving smile over how you gawk at your food as you eat the kampung delicacies. Something you two would never have eaten in Japan, or Denmark, when he brings you home to meet his grandfather—and shows you that he intends to marry you.
But that’s not just all of his plans. Kuantan has much bigger delights than just the countryside; you took a taxi to all these places that Nanami briefly saw in a magazine. He tries painting batiks (and finds out it’s harder than it looks), walking and admiring local vendors, shop displays until it’s time for dinner again and you had the loveliest Nyonya style seafood that fuses between two cultures.
As the sun sets, there is one final spot Nanami wants to take you. You see the big Kuantan sign as you take a high speed elevator all the way to the top of the Skydeck. And it’s just you and him alone in the breeze of the night, watching streets light up with traffic, illuminating into the same horizon as before.
“Thank you for making my last day memorable.” He speaks into the deep dark sky, not a moon or star in sight.
And at that moment, you know he realises that none of this is real. That his body—or whatever’s left of it—is still back at Shibuya. But for whatever reason, even when he knows he’s already dead, Nanami is smiling. His blond hair reminds you of the moon hanging high in the sky, shining brighter than any spark of light on the streets.
“Mm-hm.” You reply, no other words needed.
Nanami’s arms come around your waist, pulling you close to him, until your bodies connect as one. He leans his head on top of yours, and breathes in your scent, your bashful reciprocation, and all of you that he will most definitely miss.
“Hey.” Nanami says, barely louder than a cricket. “I have one last request.”
“Yeah?”
“I want to taste you one last time.”
Tumblr media
The two of you scramble through the linoleum flooring, giggling through the hotel lobby as you share private jokes between each other without a care for the world. Passerbys wonder: ‘I wonder if they’re on a honeymoon’. And it doesn’t matter if it’s the beginning or many nights, or the end of them, your love for each other remains just as passionate.
When Nanami touches the key pass against his door, you try to push him in while he’s distracted, but he smirks at your boldness, but ultimately he turns you around to kiss you instead. He likes how you try even if it always ends with him turning the tables on you, kissing you while his whole body pins you against the hard wall.
He kisses you with the same fervour as he did the first night you spent together in the bedroom, and even after many years together, that doesn’t change.
Nanami helps you out of your clothes, one article at a time, savouring the look of you with each piece undressed, until you lay stark naked in front of him. He removes his glasses to place them against a bedside table, then he gets to work.
Guiding you to plop your hips onto the edge of the bed, Nanami positions himself on his knees to face you. He nudges your legs to open first, and he can’t help but fall in love again with how beautiful you look down there. His instinct is to put your bud in his mouth, and a cold rush of shiver frights you on your lower body. Your fingers curl slightly in reaction to his forwardness.
“Sorry to keep you waiting. I’ll make it up to you, I promise.” Nanami smirks, kissing on your clit a few more times before his tongue peeks out, tasting at your delicate bud. He does that for a few minutes, varying the intensity and speed to edge you until it fizzes your lower body. Occasionally, if he thinks you sound cute, he’ll impress you by pressing down his tongue on your clit that makes your fingers curl and uncurl over and over. “You like this?” Nanami asks innocently.
Oh, he knows that you do. But of course, Nanami likes hearing you confess his charms from your own mouth.
“Kento…” You lower your voice. “I love everything you do. That goes without saying.”
He hums, satisfied by your obedience.
“Now do th-that thing you always d-do, please…”
“As you wish, darling.”
Nanami loves to satisfy you, loves to obey you and make him yours. He takes your bud in his mouth, his tongue inside, circling along your clit while his middle finger dips in your wet coated slit. Long finger curls to meet your g-spot with ease, moving only his last knuckle on his hand so he can repeatedly rap at your sensitive spot until your whole body feels drowned in your own pleasure.
“Oh god…”
His tongue darts out in quick succession, letting the needy bud smack against the tip of his tongue until it grows swollen and sensitive to the touch. Nanami wonders if you are enjoying yourself until he hears a weak noise, back arching, cunt pulsing as the pleasure lightly tips you off the edge like a gentle ripple.
“H-Hey, that’s enough.” You say through huffed breaths.
“Five more minutes.” Nanami says, his breath just as uneasy.
You hesitate. “One.”
“Fine by me.”
Every passing of his tongue on you can’t seem to satiate him, he laps at your taste over and over again. Until foams of saliva bubble over your wet clit and you are soaking under his finger. His chin coats wet with you, with how delicious you are, but he doesn’t mind one bit of the mess. Taking his time is his priority.
“Nnh.” Just like he promised, almost sixty seconds later, he parts himself away through a throaty huff, withdrawing himself to lick his lips clean and wiping streaks of drool from his face with the back of his wrist.
Nanami moves in quickly for another kiss on your lips, and you respond with equal enthusiasm. He shuffles you backwards to accommodate him to enter the bed, lips bound together through the awkward motions. Naturally, you prop your legs on top of his thighs, and you feel his length taking advantage of you without obstructions, closing the distance until his tip meets you at your entrance.
He guides your torso flat against the bed through the firm pad of his palm, pressing them up form your pelvis all the way to your belly, your chest, your collarbone…
He stops moving. “How hard do you want it this time?”
“Hard.”
“As you wish, my darling.”
His left hand continues upwards to find your neck, curling around the circumference of your neck. Some pressure is applied, and you roll your eyes back. Gentle at first, until you’re comfortable with his hand, he settles his tip inside of you. Quiet grunts leave his body as he puts you in missionary, overcome by the need to probe at you further until he feels all of himself buried.
But he restrains, for your sake. Nanami knows, with his size, bottoming out in one go only hurts you more. So he takes his time when he does so, easing himself in and fucks you with the intent to make eternal love, letting him continue this dreamlike state that will soon come to an end.
“You’re gorgeous…” He grunts, simply gazing at you, into your heart and into your soul. You do the same, admiring all his worn-out features relax like creased fabric undoing in the presence of you.
Nanami blinks away a watery glimmer between the speckles of his eyes, hoping you didn’t see it even though you did, and moves again.
Throughout the whole time, he only wants to stare at you, think of you through the burning sensation in his body that continues to remind him his time is almost up. But that doesn’t deter him, in fact, it only makes him want to take as long as the both of you need with no urge to climax hastily.
Each part of this is an experience, one final pleasure before the curse of reality hits them. You, in front of him, probably isn’t real. But it feels so real. It feels like Nanami has been granted his final wish. You, and this lovely scenery.
Soft, sensual pulses throb below you in a flowing state, crashing like the low tide on the evening beach, just like the view outside your fancy hotel window. Until the orgasm comes, in due time, through the labour of his efforts. How Nanami comes down to kiss you in gratitude as come spills inside of you, and the both of you grin into the kiss.
As you snuggle under the sheets next to Nanami, he brings his arm around your belly, grazing, pressing, worshipping—that this is the last time his hands will feel the warm plush again.
“I don’t want this night to over.” You mumble weakly.
He pulls you in with a hand that weighs a thousand of thoughts in his mind.
“I know, darling. I know.”
He sees himself in your eyes for the final time. Looking through the clearness, Nanami’s real body, burned and bruised on one half. Yet you still look at him with eyes that would stay by his side forever.
But this is not your time yet.
You blink back the tears, a rainfall along your cheek. He brushes it away with a look of yearning.
“Promise me you’ll have a good life, darling.”
You nod, unable to say anything else, knowing the tears will return if you do. Between you two, no words are needed. He can read you, and you can read him without any words uttered. Reaching for his jaw at first, you graze your fingers along Nanami’s cheek, and rests his eyes to a close. He mouths something inaudibly in his sleep before he departs.
You do the same, but he can’t see you.
...
..
.
Nanami opens his eyes in the middle of nowhere. He fell asleep at a bus stop sitting afloat above the sea’s surface. He sees now, the same path as before, ablaze above the sea levels, leading into the horizon where the sun falls into evening glory. At the start of the road, stands a figure.
Yooo, Nanamin. There you are!
The blinding lights on the path dims when the figure takes big, energised strides towards Nanami. Upon closer inspection, it’s a man in uniform. He has a distinct lean of someone he used to know a long time ago.
“Haibara?” Nanami asks.
Long time no see, bud. You don’t have to suffer anymore.
What is this feeling? Overwhelming pain, or relief when meeting a long, lost friend? There is so much Nanami wants to say he doesn’t know where to begin.
That he should have been stronger ten years ago, should have rescued Haibara in a battle beyond both their abilities even though he was just a kid. How he spent the rest of his life repenting, dedicating himself to protect the children who didn’t deserve to be in war. How he tried and failed and made it here…
… but none of that matters anymore after death.
Nanami jumps into his arms, bringing Haibara into his tight embrace. He hugs back. Nanami closes his eyes when he feels a sting behind his cheeks, then opens it again with newfound determination. Haibara bellows a laugh, pointing at Nanami’s reddened eyes which he fails to rub away.
Let’s head on to the other side, shall we?
Nanami nods. And they walk forward, side by side, towards the end of the path. He knows it’s all going to be all okay.

You were making your way down the main flight of stairs, ready to go crawl into your bed after the long day.
“Attention! Attention!” Crowley’s voice echoed over the PA system, still annoyingly chipper despite the late hour. What was he even still doing here? “Due to the weather, all remaining staff and students are under orders to stay inside the building until morning!” And the PA system cut out.
You groaned, “Seriously? It can’t be that bad–” A loud crack of thunder sounded directly above the building, causing the chandelier to shake. “Okay then,” you huffed, plopping down on the stairs, “I get the message.”
Of course, you would get stuck here for the night, guess that’s what happens when you stay back to study and work on assignments.
But you weren’t the only person stuck in the desolate halls of Night Raven College; seven others were in the same boat as you.
Vil was in the lecture theatre, reviewing his notes for the upcoming performance that the Film Research Club would be putting on next week. He too heard Crowley’s announcement and pushed his hair back, massaging his temple. He would not be getting a good night’s rest tonight.
“Tch, no use lamenting over it,” he sighed to himself. Carefully, he put the notes and suggestions away in their designated folder, and he made his way to the main hall. If anyone was still here with him, they might be there; at least he would have some company for the night, and not be alone in the empty hallways.
Professor Crewel was grading papers in the teacher’s lounge, and getting a migraine from it as well. “Have those pups learned nothing from me,” he grumbled.
He would much rather be at home in his finest pyjamas, scratching the chins of his dogs, but no, he was stuck here, and would be stuck until the storm passed or Headmaster Crowley got back on the PA system saying it was safe to leave. But knowing his employer, the man had transported himself home, leaving everyone stuck at the college oblivious.
I ought to wring his neck if he did.
Rook was in the library, perusing through various books, just looking for something to pass the time. He knew earlier that day that a storm was brewing, he could tell by the clouds and the faint smell wafting on the breeze. He also knew that Vil would be staying late, and he wasn’t going to leave Roi de Poison alone.
After going down a few aisles, Rook finally found a book to his liking. “Hmm, this is new. Ah, how interesting!” Tucking the book under his arm, Rook made his way to the lecture theatre, as that was where he had last seen Vil.
Perhaps un meurtre mystère would make for a good plot for a future performance?
Silver had fallen asleep in the cafeteria, apparently he had slept for most of the day. He had only woken up because of Crowley’s voice echoing loudly in the large, empty room.
Did they not notice? Silver rubbed his eyes and yawned. If he was here, there was a possibility of others also finding themselves stuck in the school for the night. The least he could do was make sure others were staying calm, and staying safe. Even outside of his duties he was ever still the protector, and far too kind.
“Hopefully no one got hurt…” he murmured to himself. There was something off, a dark presence of sorts, and it wasn’t just the dark clouds hurling down rain, hail, and lightning outside.
Something doesn’t feel right…
Azul was in the alchemy lab, perfecting the most complicated potion that was in his textbook; he had a reputation to upkeep after all, and didn’t want anyone usurping his rank at the top of the class.
There, I just need to add some belladonna and— the suddenness of Crowley’s overly loud voice coming over the PA system caused Azul to add too much, and the potion evaporated. Azul gritted his teeth, but took a step back. Perhaps a walk would help calm him down… he was going to have to replace all of those ingredients tomorrow…
“So close,” he hissed, and he started making his way down the hall, still muttering to himself.
Jade was washing the dirt from his hands, having just come back from checking on his fungi in the botanical gardens. He already knew before Crowley made his little announcement that he would be spending the night, which didn’t bother him all that much. Perhaps he could see what was in the kitchen, since he did have that new dish which looked and sounded to be divine.
But that could wait, Azul was most likely still working on that potion of his, and knowing the house warden, he had fumbled with the ingredients at the sudden noise and probably sulking… and Jade could use some amusement at the moment, and a sulking and slightly peeved Azul would do the trick.
Cater was in the kitchen, retrieving something for Trey since they were all out in the Heartslabyul kitchen. Of course it was something sweet, but Cater would rather be here than see the outcome of the freshmans’ antics. Sorry freshies, you’re on your own!
But now he was stuck here for the night, and having nothing better to do, and boredom starting to creep in, Cater brought out his phone and started recording.
“It’s Cay-kun here!~” He gave a peace sign to the camera and stuck out his tongue. “Let’s see who we can find!” And he started chatting to the camera and walking towards the main hall.
Eventually, everyone had made their way to the main hall; you, Silver, Vil, Professor Crewel, Rook, Azul, Jade, and Cater. But there was no sign of Headmaster Crowley.
“Have any of you pups seen the Headmaster,” Divus asked, turning up a brow, and looked at his students with suspicion.
Everyone shook their head no. Divus sighed, and turned around the corner, in the direction of the Headmaster’s office, but he stopped in his tracks.
Curious, you looked to where Professor Crewel was staring; lying in the middle of the floor was Crowley, and he wasn’t breathing.
Dire Crowley was dead, murdered. And everyone was a suspect, including you.

About this Event
That's right folks, a classic murder mystery in the style of the board game Clue and some inspiration from the book And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie.
At the beginning and end of each part, I will be including a link to a Google Form where people can vote for who they think is the murderer, what room the murder took place in, and the weapon that was used. There's also an optional question where you can explain your answer, just do know that everything was randomly chosen by a spinner.
The form will be active for at least 72 hours; it may go on for longer if I'm busy. A new form will be added with each part, just with the suspect, room, & weapon that was voted in the last part being removed if they were incorrect... and may take some inspo from the book I mentioned.~
In future parts there will be dark content, as this is a murder mystery; all of the content warnings will be included at the beginning, and also tagged (ie. cw death). Because of this, I will not be tagging people in future parts just as a precaution.
Now, let the investigation begin!

Wolfstar Microfics - House Elf
Words: 379
@wolfstarmicrofic
🌙✨🌙✨🌙
Sirius was about to throw Kreacher out of the window. Every time he was alone with Remus and he thought ‘this is it, I’m going to tell him how I feel’, Kreacher would appear, sneering at him. Every time. All nine of them.
“Moony, is there any way to free a house elf that won’t accept clothing?” He slumped into the armchair opposite Remus, who set down his book and looked at him curiously over his reading glasses.
“Murder?” Sirius spluttered, “Legally? I’m not sure. Harry said he tricked the Malfoys' House Elf into being free. Maybe you could try that.”
“I have handed that little dickhead so many clothes. I’ve asked him to leave, and told him to leave. What’s the point of the gross dynamic he insists on if he won’t even do what I tell him? Even if I trick him, he won’t leave.”
“Ok, so what if we leave? I still have the cottage in Cornwall. It’s small, and it’s not,” He waved a hand at the room, “this, but… you wouldn’t have to put up with Kreacher skulking around. Or that fucking portrait.” Remus shuddered, “You know she called me a treacherous mongrel earlier and my first thought was ‘wow, that was mild’.”
Sirius frowned. Since he’d been pardoned a few months prior, he’d only thought about his future. He’d thought about how Remus fit into that, but, as it turned out, he hadn’t been thinking about Remus and how it must be for him living in Grimmauld Place with Kreacher and Walburga and fittings that changed back to silver eventually, no matter how many spells they tried.
“You think anyone would want to buy this place?” He mused. “Maybe I should just burn it to the ground.”
“See if Kingsley wants it for training curse breakers?” Remus looked down at his book. “Anyone who can silence your mother has truly earned the title.”
“You really wouldn’t mind me living with you, permanently?” He stared into the fireplace.
“No, I’d love it, actually.” Remus smiled at him, “Maybe without Kreacher interrupting you can get around to telling me whatever it is you’ve been trying to tell me for weeks now.”
The smile teasing the corners of Remus’ mouth told him that Remus already knew.

Pairing: Aemond Targaryen x cousin!reader
Summary: One of the most talked about gossips among the lower class servants in Kings Landing is the fact (or not) that Aemond Targaryen got involved with his cousin Y/n Targaryen when they were both teenagers. Mainly due to the fact that at the age of 17 she was sent to Old Town overnight. Some employees claim that Aemond was caught between her legs. Some say that, like her father, she had had a horrible fight with her uncle and aunt and was sent away. And other than that none of this happened, she just became interested in the course offered at the Old Town conservatory. But now five years later, Y/n Targaryen is back, and rumors haunt those who favor them.
This chapter is a part of a main story The gossip, you can find the previous chapter, summary and general tags by accessing the link.
Summary of the chapter: Every step taken in the past frighteningly alters the future, these are some of the steps Aemond and Y/n took.
Warnings of the chapter: 18+, family fights, dysfunctional family, mention of death of a secondary character and mourning, parental abandonment, pounds and pounds of teenage romance, teenagers being totally crazy and hormonal, teenagers discovering themselves, young love, no description for reader.

A/n²: Let's go back a few years in time and see what was happening at the Targaryen mansion? Hope you like the new chapter, comments and suggestions are welcome 💕
"Hey hey kings landing, it seems that our dear Daemon Targaryen aka Prince Rouge is back in kings landing for the first time since the death of his wife Rhea Royce. Our sources say that he brought with him his 7-year-old daughter Y/n Targaryen, who was seen leaving a casino with her father at four in the morning about a month ago. Are the Targaryen siblings finally in harmony or are they still at odds?"
❦❦❦
For the first 6 years of her life Y/n Targaryen was raised in runestone with her mother, and she was very happy there, even with the constant fights between her father and mother. As a child she liked to think that the two loved each other even amidst the fights and all the bad things. As an adult, she wasn't so sure anymore.
Her father Daemon Targaryen came and went all the time, he never stopped at home, he was always traveling, and when he was there, there were fights, fights, and more fights. Y/n usually hid under the blankets and covered her ears with her little hands, but it did little to muffle her parents' screams, it was painful, and sometimes, without being able to understand at such a young age, she thought that maybe it was her fault for some reason.
When her mother died in a car accident, Y/n cried for hours alone next to the coffin, there was only her and her uncle who had come to take over the business now that Rhea had died. So small, so alone, she barely understood what was happening, but she knew she would never see her mother again.
After that, Daemon came to get her and took her with him, Y/n loved her father, but she had discovered that she didn't like being with him. He was always on planes traveling from one place to another, and it was different from how it was with her mother, she no longer had a home, she was always in hotels, moving almost weekly. The only good part was that she had gotten rid of school and could just draw and play with her dolls. That didn't last long since her father decided to visit his older brother and took her with him.
As soon as she entered the mansion for the first time, still with her eyes shy from being in a strange place hidden behind her father's leg, she saw him, and could feel a smile forming on her lips almost immediately. A boy who must have been her age sitting upright on the couch while reading a thin book with a red leather cover with a black dragon drawn on it. His hair was silver as was common in the family and he had eyes so blue they looked like two precious stones.
-Try not to make a mess while I talk to my brother. - Her father's voice sounded serious as he ruffled her hair slightly, making her snort, already straightening the strands again and carefully replacing the tiara as she went down the steps of the entrance hall.
She looked at the boy a little longer, and he seemed so focused on his book that she seriously considered not disturbing him, but it was as if she was being pulled towards him somehow. Y/n didn't know if it was because she was scared and alone, or what it was, and without thinking much more about it she decided to walk to the boy on the couch with a smile.
-Hi, I'm Y/n. - She said, tilting her head and placing it in front of the pages of the book, preventing reading and making her eyes meet his clear eyes that looked at her scared, having been so focused on reading the new book that he had barely noticed someone's arrival.
Aemond couldn't explain what he felt at that moment. He had never been able to throughout his childhood, throughout his adolescence and not even in adulthood or old age. But when he saw that unknown little girl smiling at him as she hid in front of the fantasy book he was reading, his heart raced and it was as if a shock ran under his skin at that moment.
It took him almost a minute to remember that his mother had told him that his uncle was coming and would bring his daughter along to visit. And trying to be as polite as possible since the girl was still looking at him smiling, waiting for an answer, he extended his hand, just as he saw his father do with important guests, and introduced himself.
- Nice to meet you, I'm Aemond.
Y/n couldn't help but laugh as she shook the boy's hand gently.
-Nice to meet you, I'm Y/n. - She repeated what he said with a very serious and formal voice, pretending to be in one of her father's meetings and then laughing right away, making Aemond blush.
- I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be mean. - Y/n apologized immediately when she saw the boy's blush. - I was just kidding.
- It's okay. - Aemond shrugged a little more calmly but still shyly, and Y/n sighed, smiling at him.
-What are you reading? - She asked curiously, sitting next to him on the couch.
-How to train your dragon.
-Oh, I watched the movie with my dad. I didn't know there was a book.
-I really like books. - He spoke a little too quietly, but Y/n heard anyway.
-Well, I prefer to watch TV, I can't read that well.
-Mom says reading is a matter of practice. - Aemond shrugged, looking at her. - I can lend it to you when I'm done.
-I probably won't stay long. - She smiled sadly. - My dad travels a lot and I stay with him.
-It must be nice. - Aemond tried to sound encouraging when he saw his cousin's sad look.
-Not really. - The girl rolled her eyes, crossing her legs and putting her feet on the mansion's expensive sofa as she turned to Aemond. - There's nothing fun to do, and I can only play alone all the time and I can't have a room anymore.
-Can I tell you a secret? - She whispered to him and Aemond promptly nodded positively since no one had ever told him a secret. Y/n then moved a little closer and after looking around, confided in her cousin.
-I even miss school a little. - She whispered even lower and Aemond laughed, making her glare at him.
-Sorry, sorry. - He asked when he saw the pout on her face. - It's just that I like going to school.
-Why? It's horrible. - She grimaced.
-Then why do you miss it? - He raised an eyebrow as he asked and Y/n didn't know what to answer, so she just laughed.
-I liked you, Aemond.
Aemond just smiled and looked away from the book he was reading, not knowing what to answer her, not wanting to seem silly, like Aegon and Jace usually said he was.
-You like cats? - He then decided to ask curiously and Y/n nodded.
-I do, but I prefer dogs.
Aemond grimaced when he heard that.
-You don't like dogs? - Little Y/n asked confused.
-Not much, they're drooling and make a lot of noise. - He said, sounding older than he really was. - I prefer cats, they're smarter.
-Smarter? - Y/n sat closer to him curiously.
-Yes, my grandfather gave me a book about cats for my birthday. - Aemond smiled a little shyly. - Did you know that in ancient Valyria they worshiped cats?
-Are you serious? - Y/n's eyes widened when she heard that.
-Yeah. - He nodded, excited that she was paying real attention to what he was saying. - It's all in the book, I haven't finished reading it yet and it's a little bigger than the ones I usually read. - He concluded, blushing a little at the admission.
Suddenly, screams interrupted their conversation. Y/n's wide smile gradually disappeared, the memory of the horrible fights between her father and mother returning to her at the same moment. And Aemond, noticing the girl's sad look, squeezed her hand to get her attention.
-Come with me.- With a kind look he guided her out of the mansion, to a large tree with a stone bench near the trunk. - I always come here when my parents fight. - He shrugged. - Or when my brother and nephews are bothering me.
Y/n smiled again when she heard that, feeling important that Aemond shared something so special with her.
-Do your parents fight a lot? - She asked, looking at the ground.
-Sometimes, yes. - The boy shrugged as he sat down and grabbed a leaf that had just fallen from the tree. - But my mother says that adult matters are not for children.
-Mine fought all the time. - She said sadly. - Until my mom died. - The last part came out so low that Aemond would not have heard if it were not for the silence of the garden.
-I'm sorry about your mom. - His voice was solemn and in a gesture of comfort Aemond reached out his hand to Y/n's and squeezed it gently, making her smile sadly at him.
-I miss her. - The youngest admitted. - I miss our home, the cookies she made. - Little by little, tears began to run down Y/n's cheeks as she spoke. - Listening to songs with her and hearing her sing. - She smiled a little at the oldest. - My mother liked to sing, does yours?
Aemond thought about it for a while and came to the conclusion that he had never heard his mother sing in his life, so he just shook his head while the youngest wiped the tears from her cheeks with her fingertips.
-What else did your mother like? – He encouraged her to talk.
-Horseback riding. - Y/n smiled at her cousin as she thought about her mother. - She took me with her to ride whenever she could.
-Looks amazing. - He smiled slightly at Y/n.
-Thank you. - Y/n said, sitting closer to Aemond.
-For what? - He was confused, since he hadn't done anything special for the girl.
-From hearing me talk about her, my father doesn't like it very much when I remember mom. - Y/n shrugged and Aemond smiled at her as he tore an orange leaf.

-She's my daughter Viserys! - Daemon mocked as he walked around his brother's office.
-Just because she's your daughter doesn't mean you know how to take care of her! - The older man hissed irritably.
-Because you've been such a good father, haven't you, brother? - A mocking smile took over Daemon's face.
-You are certainly qualified to judge my performance.
-Y/n is a child, Daemon, she needs a home, stability, by the gods the girl needs to go to school! - Viserys just ignored him as he listed on his fingers what his brother should provide for his daughter, but he didn't. - You can't drag her around the entire country with you like a dog and take her to every inappropriate place you frequent.
-Y/n is doing very well with me. Better than she was with that bitch of a mother. - He practically spat out the words.
-Daemon, I really hope you're not talking about the girl's mother like that in front of her. - Viserys pressed his temples when thinking about such a thing.
The younger man just laughed in mockery as he threw himself into the chair in front of the table.
-But of course I am Viserys, is fifth on my evil list. Cursing my daughter's dead mother in front of her every day at 2 pm. - He then looked at his wristwatch with an ironic look. - I'm a bit late today.
-Daemon…
-Viserys why called me here? It wasn't to be brotherly, I've already realized that, so be clear.
-I filed a request for custody of Y/n. - The oldest spoke with a hard voice.
-What? You can't do that! - He slammed his hands hard on the table, leaning his body forward with his face contorted in anger.
-Y/n's custody belonged to her mother while she was alive, Rhea left me a letter of intent saying that if anything happened to her, custody of Y/n should pass to me.
-That damn bitch. - Daemon cursed, kicking his chair back as he stood up angrily.
-And I can clearly see why she thinks you're not fit to take care of a child, Daemon.
-You can't do that, Viserys!
-I'm already doing it. Y/n will not leave this house with you anymore! The girl will be under my and my wife's care, where she will be well cared for and attended to. - The eldest also stood up to face his brother with a firm voice and louder than Daemon, who in a fit of fury picked up the fallen chair and slammed it on the floor several times until there was nothing left but broken pieces of wood.
-The all-powerful main heir Viserys! - Daemon shouted as he grabbed one of the glasses that was on the table and threw it against the wall, making it shatter into broken glass.
-So upright, so moral, so perfect! - He mocked while walking around the office. - Always ready to ignore his own mistakes while pointing out those of others.
-Me traveling with my daughter is a big problem. - He rolled his eyes, staring at his brother.
-But you marry that bitch who frequented your house when your wife was alive a year after her death and everything is fine, because Viserys Targaryen is perfect! - The youngest sneered as he walked through his enraged brother's office.
-Don't you dare talk about Alicent like that! - Viserys slammed one of his hands against the table.
-Oh, I touched a nerve, didn't I? - He laughed as he stomped hard towards his brother's table, stopping inches away from him.
-Tell me something, my fair and noble brother. - Daemon's gaze dripped with evil and venom dripped from his words. - Did you fuck her in this house while Aemma was still alive and pregnant and while Rhaenyra and she were still studying together at college?
Daemon had barely finished speaking when Viserys had already slapped him loudly in the face, leaving a slight cut where the ring he wore on his little finger had hit him, and Daemon just laughed in mockery.
-That's enough, Daemon!
-Okay, I wouldn't have resisted such a young and hot cunt either, but that makes you more like me than you pretending not to be, brother. - The smile slowly disappeared from his face.
-I'm going.
-Say goodbye to your daughter. - Viserys ordered in a still irritated voice.
-I don't like goodbyes. - He said without emotion as he walked towards the door.
-And you don't think about her feelings about this? - Hearing his brother say this, Daemon stopped before opening the door.
-There's no point in wasting my time saying anything since you're going to poison her against me from now on.
-Don't try to fool me by pretending it's the first time you've left without saying goodbye because I'm not an idiot! Your wife told me how you behaved.
-Ex-wife! - Daemon hissed at his brother. - And in case you forgot, I didn't ask for that hellish marriage.
Viserys took a deep breath at the mention of his brother's marriage.
-Daemon, no one is going to poison Y/n against you, you can visit her whenever you want.
-With you and your bitch all over me acting like I'm some kind of maniac who needs supervision? - His voice sounded bitter like gall. - I don't think so.
And then he closed the door behind him without even looking back.

Alicent's heart ached as she walked towards the garden knowing the news she would have to give to her niece. The pain only increased seeing her jumping smilingly through the grass while talking to Aemond who was smiling too.
-Hello kids. - She smiled sitting on the bench near the tree under the watchful eyes of both. Y/n looked at the ground slightly shy in front of the unknown adult and Aemond, realizing this, got up and went to her.
-That's my mother.
-Hi. - Y/n looked at Alicent and gave a shy smile after Aemond spoke to her.
-Hello, my dear. - The woman smiled at her. - I'm Alicent, your aunt.
She didn't know how to tell a child who had already lost her mother that her father had left without saying goodbye and taking a deep breath she started to speak.
-Y/n your father has been very busy lately and has been traveling a lot. You know this, don’t you?
Y/n just nodded as she looked into Alicent's eyes.
-So we all think it's best for you to stay here in Kings Landing with us for a while. - The redhead spoke uncertainly as she tried not to look away from her niece.
-Stay here? - She said confusedly, pouting.
-Yes, dear, here in our house with your family. - Alicent leaned forward and stroked the girl's hair affectionately as she said this.
Aemond suddenly felt extremely happy when he heard that. Y/n was going to stay, so the two of them could be friends and play together every day.
-But where is my dad? - She asked, still confused.
-Y/n, dear, he had an emergency and needed to leave as soon as possible. - Alicent lied to avoid hurting the girl's feelings even more. - He told me to tell you he's sorry.
-My dad left? - Y/n asked sadly in a tearful voice looking at her feet, already feeling tears in her eyes.
-I'm sorry, my dear. - Alicent sighed to the girl while stroking her hair.
-He promised me that he would never leave without saying goodbye. - The girl's voice sounded choked as she hugged her arms against herself. - Why didn't he say goodbye?
Alicent opened her mouth to speak, but nothing came out. She just stared at the crying girl, not knowing what to do in such a complicated situation. And that's when Aemond stepped forward and gently wrapped Y/n in his arms while the youngest cried and sobbed.
-It's okay, Y/n, I'm with you. - He smiled at his cousin and she tried to smile back, but it seemed more sad than anything else.
-Since you're staying, I'll share all my toys with you. - Aemond promised, still holding her close to him while she gradually calmed down.
-Truth? - She asked, still in a very sad voice.
-Yes, I have a lot of board games and puzzles. - He smiled kindly at his little cousin.
-I like puzzles. - The youngest sniffed and tried to smile as she looked at Aemond.
-And while you're here, my mother will take care of you. - Aemond promised. - She can make cookies whenever you want.
Alicent looked at the scene with relief, seeing the girl slowly stop sniffling as her son calmed her down. Y/n seemed to like him, and it would be good for Aemond to have a friend since he was such a quiet child, unlike his older brother.
-I don't want to be alone. - The girl said, looking at her own feet as she crossed her arms, hugging herself.
-You won't be. - Aemond assured her with a slight smile and pulled one of her hands, holding it in his. - As long as we're friends, you'll never be alone.
-You swear? - She asked hopefully, her eyes shining as she looked at Aemond, still moist with tears.
-I swear. - The older one promised, squeezing her hand lightly, and Y/n finally smiled happily.
That night at dinner, Aemond taught Y/n how to write his name using the noodles from the alphabet soup that was served at the children's table, and with a smile on his face he wrote her name next to his.
❦❦❦
The months passed and Y/n quickly adapted to the routine at the Targaryen mansion, mainly because Aemond was by her side all the time. She also liked her other cousins, Helaena was great at playing with dolls even though she was three years older than her and Y/n had a lot of fun with her cousin. Aegon was a little silly sometimes and even a little mean when he wanted to be, but she liked him too, and Daeron was always running around and knocking over all of their toys.
But with Aemond it was different, he understood her, and the two talked and confided everything in each other. He listened to her talk about her mother and made her feel better about it and about her father's departure. Y/n felt like she could do anything when she was with him.
They all went to the same school, except for Daeron who was still too young for that. The only bad part was the fact that Aemond was a class ahead of her and they didn't have the same class, but the new school was great and unlike the old school they let her draw and had even told her uncles to enroll in a drawing class, something that Alicent did promptly.
Y/n was elated at this. She now had a part of the day exclusively for drawing, and her teacher was very kind and reminded her of her mother. She had even discovered that the woman liked Shania Tyrell's music and now during classes they could listen to the songs together.
At the same time that she had drawing class, Aemond had fencing class, something he seemed to really enjoy although Y/n didn't understand why. The two also had swimming classes together, something that made them absolutely happy because they could spend the whole afternoon together playing in the pool.
And the rest of the time the two just played and talked to each other, Aemond seemed to gravitate around Y/n, as if she were the sun and he was one of the planets in its orbit, and where one was the other was always there too.
-Let's play house, Aem? - Y/n practically begged, pulling on the sleeve of the fancy outfit the eldest wore to the Targaryen annual charity ball.
-You can be the father and I can be the mother. - She smiled vain as she smoothed her own pink dress full of beautiful white ruffles. - Daeron can be our son.
Upon hearing this, the younger boy ran away and left the two alone, causing Y/n to have a cute pout on her lips as she looked at the more Aemond.
-Mr. Bunny can be our son. - Aemond said as he pulled Y/n's stuffed rabbit that she had lent to Daeron but he had dropped when he ran.
Y/n's eyes lit up when she heard the eldest's idea and she quickly agreed, shaking her head and taking the stuffed animal from his hands and cradling it in her arms as if it were a baby.
-Now husband, I need a place to sit. - She spoke very seriously and Aemond promptly ran to get a chair under the watchful eyes of some of the adults at the party.
-Little Aemond seems enchanted by Y/n. - Mrs. Blackwood said with a smile as she watched the children playing in the corner.
-Yes, the two became friends very quickly, thank the gods. - Alicent smiled when observing them. - The friendship has been good for both of them, he takes care of her as if she were a sister.
Alicent excused herself before leaving, since one of the maids was calling her from the other side of the room. Shortly after she left, Mr. Blackwood turned to Viserys, laughing.
-I don't think he looks at her the same way he looks at Helaena. - He took a sip of champagne as he said this. - In my opinion, if we consider the look on your son's face, little Y/n has hung all the stars and the moon in the sky.
-Nonsense. - Viserys said as he laughed, shaking his head. - They are just good friends.
In the corner, the two of them were playing and laughing, oblivious to everything else. They both took turns rocking the stuffed rabbit while pretending to be married. Aemond had already left for work at the company three times by that point, and Y/n had already pretended to bake dozens of cookies while singing to the stuffed animal.
-We haven't fought once. - Y/n said, confused, looking at Aemond. - How can we be married if we don't fight?
-Well, there are no fights in our marriage. - He shrugged his shoulders while smiling. - It's our game, we make the rules and I say we don't need to fight.
Y/n's smile could light up the entire room when she heard that.
-I want to marry you when we grow up, Aem. - She spoke innocently excitedly while looking at her cousin. - That way, we'll never fight, and we'll be happy forever.
-And I will never yell at you. - The older stated with conviction, making Y/n smile even more.
Aemond's heart suddenly filled with an unknown feeling that seemed like happiness when he heard Y/n say that and showing that he would be a good husband, he told her that he would bring her more sweets, making her smile even more.
Aemond walked past his father to get to the sweets table and Viserys, seeing a sticker stuck to his son's lapel, pulled him and then straightened his clothes.
-Thank you dad. - Aemond said, a little embarrassed by his father's unusual attitude.
-What are you and Y/n doing? - Viserys asked, smiling.
-Playing house. - Aemond replied, blushing a little. - I'm the dad and Y/n is the mom, I'm going to work to buy more sweets.
-He only got married for a children game and is already being exploited like the rest of us. - Mr. Lanister said and then laughed out loud at his own joke, followed by all the other men.
-When we're adults, I'm going to marry Y/n. - Aemond announced with a timid smile.
All the adults laughed out loud once more, but none of them told him he couldn't do it. And from that day on, playing house became their favorite game.
❦❦
The years passed and the two grew closer and closer to each other, becoming practically inseparable. Aemond did absolutely everything that Y/n asked him to do, he was always around and if he denied her something, Y/n just had to blink her eyes, give a cute smile and say "Pretty please, Aem" and he would soon change his mind and do it.
On Y/n's 10th birthday, she received a Polaroid camera from Helaena, and while Aemond ran away from all the cameras, always covering his face when they photographed him, he let Y/n take instant photos of him with the new camera, as well as taking photos of her, who was usually laughing or making funny faces, like pulling her eyes down with her fingers while making a fish face.
The two grew up like that, around each other, one telling the other everything, one defending the other, one always in the other's presence. Everything between the two was very simple and innocent until Aemond and Y/n began to grow up and look at each other even more differently than they already did.
One of the things that most fueled students at the KL Royal Academy was gossip and whispers about each other. When Aemond was 13, he knew that all his schoolmates had kissed except him, because he couldn't feel like kissing any of those girls.
It was then that Aegon decided to solve the problem on his own terms, since he couldn't stand his younger brother being teased by anyone other than him, and he practically forced him to kiss a girl from his own class behind the gym, and that was the worst feeling in Aemond's life. It was disgusting, wet, and tasted like cigarettes, and he felt like he never wanted to do that again in his life, and for a long time he didn't do it.
Until 1 year later, Y/n came home from school without saying a word to him or Daeron in the car. No matter how hard he tried, she didn't give more than a nod of her head. After arriving home, Y/n went straight to her room and Aemond went after her immediately to try to understand what was happening, and after much bothering about the subject, he finally found out.
-All the girls in my class have kissed someone except me. - She said, looking at him from under her eyelashes, and Aemond felt his stomach warm.
-But that's not a problem.
-Well, they think it is, they laughed at me and then they wanted me to kiss Jai Lanister. - She said shyly, looking down.
-And you kissed him? - Aemond's voice was trembling and he felt something twisting inside him as he imagined that disgusting creature putting his paws on his Y/n.
-No! - She immediately denied, making Aemond sigh in relief and squeeze her hand gently. He couldn't let what happened to him happen to her, and so finally, after a year, he told Y/n what had happened and apologized for keeping a secret from her for the first time in his life. Y/n was annoyed but accepted his apology.
-Did you kiss anyone else after that? - She asked, her face still red with anger, and Aemond quickly shook his head.
-No, never!
Y/n sighed in relief when she heard him say no, and then, looking into his eyes, she asked decisively.
-I want you to kiss me.
Aemond's eyes widened at the request and he immediately said no, even though something inside him had heated up at the prospect.
-I don't want to be the only one who hasn't kissed, and I don't want it to be with just anyone, I want it to be you, Aemond.
She looked at him with that sweet look that enchanted everyone around her, and Aemond, upon hearing her say those words, leaned forward, joining their lips in a sweet, soft kiss.
It was different from the first kiss with that girl behind the gym. It was slow, innocent, delicious, and he didn't want to stop. Their lips intertwined and Aemond felt his stomach flutter with the sweet sensation, her mouth tasted like bubble gum and he thought that if it weren't for the lack of air he could kiss her forever.
The two separated and stared at each other with both red faces sitting on the floor of Y/n's room.
-Just this once, right? -He asked looking into her eyes and Y/n nodded in agreement while biting her slightly red lips.
After that afternoon Aemond couldn't think of anything else but kissing. But not just any girl, he wanted to kiss Y/n, he wanted her sweet and soft lips that tasted like bubble gum. And when he arrived at school the next morning, Aemond made sure to make it clear that any idiot who tried to get close to his cousin would end up with him, Y/n hugged him smiling and Aemond felt his stomach do somersaults with the sweet smell of her hair.
He held back, he really tried, but it turns out he couldn't think of anything else, and so three days after the first kiss, on Saturday afternoon he went to Y/n's room and asked her for one more kiss. Just one last one, because it had been so good and he wouldn't want to kiss anyone else. And she agreed, sitting in front of him on the bed and waiting for him to join his lips with hers.
It was even better than the first one. The two were no longer so embarrassed and held hands while exchanging light sweet kisses. From then on, they always did this, they said it was the last time, but one always went to the other in search of more kisses.
They exchanged kisses in the bedroom, hidden in the attic or in the basement, places in the mansion where no one else went became their personal hiding places. The two were still very young, and the kisses they exchanged were nothing more than innocent, just simple touches of lips while they smiled at each other and held hands.
But as time passed and the two grew older, the kisses became harder and less soft, more demanding and less sweet. Y/n had barely understood when one day during the break between classes Jason Lanister was accompanying her and suddenly Aemond called her very seriously saying that he needed to talk to her.
When she went, he dragged her to the theater room, pressing her against the door and kissed her in a hungry way that he had never done before. And the worst part was that she liked it, she liked it so much that she didn't even care that they were out of their safe places. He bit her lips lightly and Y/n sighed at the action, Aemond had never bitten her lips before.
Aemond said he didn't want her near Jai Lanister after the kisses. Y/n didn't understand what had come over him, but she just agreed, shaking her head, still dizzy from her cousin's kisses and wanting him to kiss her like that again.
A few days later Y/n understood what had gotten into Aemond when she saw Alys Rivers, a much older girl, laughing next to him and touching Aemond's shoulder as if the two had some kind of intimacy. Y/n's blood boiled, she wanted to tear out Alys's eyes personally, so that she would never dare to place them on Aemond again. And without thinking much about her actions, she walked to where they were and gave her best sweet smile to Alys, then turned to Aemond, looking at him from under her eyelashes as she spoke.
-Cousin, I need help with my locker, the door is stuck and I can't open it.
Aemond immediately put aside all other things and turned his attention exclusively to Y/n, just like he always did.
-Sure, let's go there. - He said, picking up the philosophy book he had left on the bench next to him while he was talking and following her without even saying anything to the colleagues he was talking to, and especially without giving explanations to Alys Rivers.
Instead of going to her own locker, Y/n turned to the opposite side, making Aemond raise his eyebrows.
-Your locker is on the other side.
Y/n just shrugged and entered the math lab with Aemond in tow. And when the door closed, she jumped on him, kissing him madly while pulling his hair, deepening the kiss even more. The two walked until Y/n bumped her back against one of the large study tables, and she let out a slight cry of surprise when Aemond dropped the book on the floor and lifted her by the waist and placed it on the table.
She brought her hands to the back of Aemond's neck and he held her by the hips as they kissed each other more and more deeply. Y/n wanted to prove that Aemond was hers. Then she slowly placed her tongue against Aemond's lips, who gladly accepted and in return did the same. And for the first time, their tongues intertwined, they both forgot everything, the only thing they knew was that they wanted to kiss each other's lips.
The heat grew inside both of them, they both felt their skin burn and tingle and Aemond squeezed Y/n's waist tightly between kisses. He put his head on her neck as he tried to catch his breath, feeling even more intoxicated by her scent.
-What's gotten into you? - He asked breathlessly, looking at her after breaking the kiss.
-Nothing, I just don't want you near Alys Rivers. - She replied, crossing her arms over her chest and frowning.
Aemond smiled and kissed her again, but more gently, and then stated that he wouldn't let the older girl get close to him again as he hugged her.
That afternoon, the two of them didn't go home after school. They went to the edge of the forest where they could walk and be alone. And after finding a comfortable place under a large tree, Y/n spread out a blue scarf that she had put in Aemond's backpack and the two sat on the lawn, hugging each other while looking at the city in the distance.
-You can see the sept of Baelor right from here. - Y/n said with a smile as she reached for the bowl with the lemon cake she had kept in her bag, Aemond just smiled back, already pulling out the bottle of orange juice he had brought with him and placing it next to the cake.
-See that? I told you I would bring you for a picnic. - Aemond arched his eyebrows, opening the cake bowl. - Are you happy?
The question was genuine as he looked her in the eyes.
-Quite. - She responded simply, leaving a kiss on his chin and eliciting a smile from Aemond.
The two ate and talked about their day at school while laughing and exchanging kisses. And Y/n had her head resting on Aemond's thighs while they both admired the sunset smiling.
-I love you. - Aemond confessed to her for the first time after gathering courage, feeling his own heart in his mouth as he watched her under the orange sunset of Kings Landing.
Y/n sat down again immediately upon hearing this, looking him directly in the eyes, feeling her eyes watery with the statement.
-Are you serious?
-I've never been so serious about anything.
-I love you too, Aem. - She whispered, hugging him while smiling against his neck.
-In truth? - He asked uncertainly.
-In truth. - Y/n answered almost at the same time.
-When we're old enough and no one can boss us around anymore, I'll buy a house that will be just for us. Facing Visenya Hills, and we'll be able to get married and build our own lives. - He promised her under the orange light of the sunset.
Y/n's smile was exultant, the biggest and brightest Aemond had ever seen on her, and overcome with joy she pulled the sketchbook from her bag and opened it, skipping through the pages filled with drawings of clothes, dresses, flowers and sketches of people until she reached a blank one where she began to draw what Aemond noticed was an attempt at a blueprint for a house.
-I don't want us to have a very big house like your father's. - She rolled her eyes as she started drawing. - But we need more rooms for the children and for guests.
Aemond felt his heart warm when he heard her say children, they both always loved playing house and pretending they had one or two children. Thinking about a future where all of this would be real made him exultant.
-Don't forget about the library. - Aemond demanded as he watched the progress of the drawing. - I've always wanted to have a private library.
-Can it stay with your office? - She asked, looking at him thoughtfully - Then we could put my studio in the next room and we would always be close to each other when we were working at home.
-I like that idea. - Aemond smiled, looking at the plan in formation.
-A very beautiful dining room for us to have dinner together every night. - She added this part excitedly as she imagined family dinners.
-We also need a very large living room. - Aemond suggested. - That way we can camp in the living room on the weekends.
-Yes! - Y/n immediately agreed, adding the idea. - That would be perfect.
Little by little, more ideas began to emerge and when the plan was ready, Y/n began to draw the exterior of the house on the back of the sheet under the watchful eye of Aemond, who gave his own opinions and Y/n continued smiling as she shared her own ideas with him.
-I want lots of flowers. - She murmured, drawing a garden around the house.
-You could place a bunch of flowers near the main door. - Aemond suggested and Y/n loved the idea.
In the end, the house had two floors and details that referred to ancient architecture, which Aemond chose, a beautiful garden in front and a bunch of flowers climbing up the main entrance. And inspired by the orange light of the sunset, the two decided that the house would be orange with white windows.
The two admired the drawing with satisfied smiles on their faces as they held hands and thought about the future.
-You really mean all this, don't you, Aemond? - Y/n asked, still insecure, and Aemond gently pulled her by the chin and placed a kiss on her lips.
-You know that. - His voice was serious as he looked into her eyes. - That's our future Y/n. We will get married and be together forever, we are destined for each other.
Y/n smiled and hugged him as the night fell, feeling safe in his arms like she didn't feel anywhere else in the world. And that night, when they both slept, they dreamed of a happy future together.

A few days later, it was a Sunday morning after breakfast. Aemond and Y/n were making out in the basement, their kisses getting more and more out of control. Amidst the hungry kisses, Aemond began to trail kisses down Y/n's jaw, making her gasp softly for him, making him even crazier, making his imagination run even wilder.
And without being quite sure of what he was doing, Aemond left a hickey on the side of Y/n's neck, making it hard for both of them to cover it up later. But after that, Aemond couldn't get enough of kissing her neck. It was his new favorite pastime: kissing her neck and avoiding leaving too many obvious marks that would make them get caught.
Things got difficult for Aemond. He couldn't stop kissing Y/n, and every time he kissed her, he felt his body heat up uncontrollably and the twinges in his lower abdomen were becoming painful. So he created a habit that was certainly not very healthy, but after the habit of making out with his own cousin in any minimally empty place, anything didn't seem so bad. He touched himself every night thinking about her before sleeping, and when he finally fell asleep he dreamed about her on his body, and usually in those dreams Y/n wasn't leaving much to the imagination.
What he didn't know was that Y/n was having the same problem. And when the two finally talked about it, they both started touching each other's bodies more deeply or touching their own bodies under each other's adoring gaze.
The first time Y/n was naked in front of Aemond, she thought she was going to die from so much embarrassment, but it wasn't long before Aemond's gaze became so comfortable that she no longer even noticed when she was naked. Aemond would sneak into her room in the middle of the night whenever he could, and Y/n would eagerly welcome him and let him touch her the way he wanted.
Aemond knew they were going too far and he knew how screwed they would be if anyone found out, but he couldn't care, he just wanted her and he knew that nothing else in this life would satisfy him.
❦❦❦
On the morning of Y/n's 16th birthday, the day had barely dawned and Aemond was already opening the door to her room, jumping inside anxiously with a black velvet box in his hand. She was still sleeping tangled in the sheets with her hair messy and the straps of her pajamas slipping off her shoulders, giving him a slight look at the breasts he liked so much.
And with a smile he sat on the edge of her bed and shook her gently while calling her name, and when Y/n opened her eyes he smiled at her.
-Happy birthday beautiful.
Her eyes lit up and she promptly sat up, hugging him with a wide smile.
-I have a present for you. - He held out the velvet box and Y/n thanked him before even opening it, and when she opened it her jaw almost dropped and she put her hand to her mouth.
-Aemond I… I don't know what to say… it's beautiful. - She still spoke with her hand over her mouth. - It's the most beautiful necklace I've ever seen in my life.
-I ordered it to be made for you. - He smiled, satisfied with her reaction. - You always say that my eyes look like sapphires, so I chose this stone, so that I'll always be close to your heart and you'll always think of me when you wear it. - He then brought his face closer to hers and gently brushed his nose against hers. - But also so that you remember that my heart is yours.
A tear ran down Y/n's cheek as she admired the necklace between her fingers and everything it meant, then leaned in to leave a kiss on Aemond's lips.
-I love you Aem. - She murmured against his lips.
-I love you too Y/n. - He replied, caressing her face with the palms of his hands.
Aemond then placed the necklace around her neck, and Y/n admired herself in the mirror, enchanted by the sight, smiling even more when Aemond took a picture of her using the old polaroid camera that was on top of the bookshelf.
-Don't take it off. - He placed a kiss on her neck as he said this.
-I'll never take it off, Aem. Never. - She swore, looking at him through the mirror.
❦❦❦
And that night, on Y/n's 16th birthday, after all the expensive gifts, the party with hundreds of guests, the dances and even the sudden and unusual presence of Y/n's father, Daemon Targaryen. She went to Aemond's room at dawn and thanked him for the silver necklace with a heart-shaped sapphire stone that he had given her. But she informed him that as much as it was her favorite gift, she thought she deserved more from him, and when Aemond asked Y/n what she wanted, she confidently told him that she wanted him to make her his completely.
And that's what Aemond did, he took her for himself just as he had been dreaming of doing since he discovered what sex was. That was certainly one of the sweetest moments of both their lives.
For all the years that passed, Y/n remembered that night, every touch, from the simplest to the hungriest. From every breath, from every sigh, from every word of love that Aemond said to her. And Aemond, in turn, felt that his soul had been marked forever at that moment, and he knew that there could never be another in his life.
And still naked and smiling, tangled between the sheets, the two promised to whisper against each other's skin, Y/n first because she needed to affirm Aemond so that he knew for sure that she would always only be his.
-I will never let anyone else touch me like that, Aemond. - She sighed against his lean chest.
-You swear? - Aemond asked, feeling taken with the courage to make his own confession upon hearing Y/n's, who slowly shook her head in affirmation.
-I swear.
-Good, because I will never touch another person like that in my life, Y/n, just you. Forever. - He confessed against her hair, with his nose stuck there smelling the sweet smell of her shampoo.
-You swear? - Y/n asked, but now she was looking at him with tears in her eyes.
Aemond then held her face delicately while smiling lovingly.
-I swear. - He said as he caressed the sides of her face with his thumbs. - It will be you and me forever, nothing in this world will separate us.
A tear ran down Y/n's cheek as she heard him say those words, and with a hopeful smile she leaned in and kissed Aemond's lips sweetly.

You’re safe. No one will hurt you.
Atabey could hear her grandmother’s voice
The goddess will protect you.
White sheets covered the mirrors.
The blue and green glass bottles still hung from the branches.
Evil cannot enter this home.
But Atabey’s soul told her….
Something else.
The wood floors creaked as she walked the floor of Sylvia, her grandmother’s, home. It was well into the night. The time on her grandfather’s old pocket watch read 2:59 am.
The rain spattered against the window pane. The lightning lit up the sky, casting purple and indigo against the clouds. These were the nights her grandmother would tell her,
“Goddess Aaerie is talking. Be still and listen.”
Sleep didn’t find her easily these days. Her heart is still aching for her grandmother. Her last days filled Atabey with pain as she watched her slowly slip away. Muttering to herself about evil in the shadows.
Atabey would braid her hair as her grandmother would rock herself back and forth, whispering prayers, and singing. Her last words were, “Keep the devil in the night. Keep the Goddess with you. Always.” as she passed her a silver necklace, covered in blessed oil.
Atabey didn’t know what she was talking about, but her blessing made her feel safe.
But her soul told her….
Atabey
The sound of her name chilled her bones. Where did it come from? She was here alone.
Atabey. Come to me baby.
Atabey’s heart beats faster and faster. She crept to the front door. Her hands shook as she reached for the knob. She slowly opened it, the wind immediately sweeping her nightgown into the breeze. The rain poured, slightly obstructing her vision.
But she could see a figure standing at the end of the end of the walkway. The lightning struck and she could see his slim figure. He was wearing all black. His light colored hair shone bright in the moonlight.
It was almost like he was standing right in front of her.
Sweetheart…Sweetheart, come here.
The wind carried his voice to her ears. Her body dared to move closer to him.
Sweetheart…Come here. Now.
Her feet crossed the threshold of the house. The rain soaked her nightgown, the wind chilled her bones. Atabey’s mind was blank. She could only see him. She could only hear him.
That’s it. That’s my good girl. Come to me, baby.
He held out his hand to her. She was so close. Her fingertips grazed his palm. The silver necklace around her neck burned, snapping her from her trance. When lightning struck again, Atabey could see his wicked grin. The lust and desire in his dark eyes made her blood run cold.
Don’t be afraid, baby.
Her voice failed her, as fear overtook her body. Atabey turned, and ran as fast as she could, back to your grandmother’s house. She could see her grandmother. She was standing in the doorway, arms open wide for her.
You cannot run forever, sweetheart. You belong to me.
Atabey slammed the door behind her. Her body shook from the immense fear that soaked into every pore of her being. Atabey could hear her grandmother’s voice. Singing and praying.
“Keep the devil in the night. Keep the Goddess with you. Always.”
Atabey was safe. No one can hurt her.
But her soul told her
Something else…..
Four Months Later
Under the warm embrace of the afternoon sun, Atabey moved gracefully through her grandmother’s garden, a patch of earthly paradise tucked away in the heart of her home. The scent of blooming roses, honeysuckles, lilies, and tulips mingled in the air, creating a symphony of fragrances that enveloped the senses.
As she knelt among the sea of colors, Atabey's eyes surveyed the vibrant tapestry she had cultivated. The roses, with their velvety petals, whispered tales of love and passion. Honeysuckles, weaving through trellises, released their sweet fragrance like secrets carried by the breeze. Lilies, elegant and regal, stood as guardians of the garden's soul, while tulips, their vibrant hues a testament to the spectrum of life, bowed gracefully in the sun's gentle glow.
The scent of apricot and honey filled her nose as she coated herself in the oil,  High Priestess Ariah, gave her. Atabey had not been able to truly find comfort since that night. His smile would flash in her mind, sending a chill down her spine.
Although, she did her best to convince herself it was just a dream-it didn’t work. She could still hear his voice in the night, calling her name in a sweet, honeyed tone. Her body would fight against her, wanting to follow the sound of his voice. All she could do was pray and call out to her Goddess.
From the day she turned twenty-one, her grandmother and the other High Priestesses told her that she was blessed. The golden tattoos that appeared on her skin, deemed her as the Goddess’s chosen daughter. The daughter who would lead her generation of sisters to prosperity through truth, virtue, and dignity. It was a heavy burden on her shoulders but she knew that she had to carry it.
Atabey grabbed her wicker basket and began to grab flowers from her garden to take to the temple for offering. She was preparing for her crossing ceremony tonight. During this ceremony, she would commune and ascend to the level of the chosen daughters before her. Through their guidance and wisdom would she be able to properly lead.
She picked her honeysuckles, lilies, and tulips. The fruit on her trees had not bloomed yet, or she would have picked apples, oranges, and lemons to offer to the Goddess as well.
She placed the basket on her hip and headed toward the wooden gate of the garden. She was eager to get to the temple and be in her Goddess’s presence. She used to be afraid of the idea of ascending. She was told that she would be separated from her body and enter the spirit realm to commune with those before her. In other words, she would enter a state of death temporarily. But through prayers and encouragement, she overcame that fear.
Close your eyes, my precious one,Underneath the moonlit sky,For in your dreams, the goddess comes,To bless you as you lie.
She chose you, child, from realms afar,To hold her light within,So hush now, dear, and heed her call,Let her love gently begin.
May stars above, in their celestial dance,Guide you through the night,And may the goddess' tender embrace,Fill your dreams with pure delight.
Sleep now, my darling, safe and sound,In the cradle of her grace,For you are chosen, blessed, and loved,In her divine embrace.
Atabey sang to herself. It was a song her grandmother had sung to her as soon as she was identified as the Chosen Daughter. It always brought her comfort.
As she walked through the tall grass, she could see a figure up ahead. She couldn’t tell who they were due to their head being covered by a black hood and their back was to her. Her heart began to beat faster. Her mind flashed back to that night.
Her footsteps slowed. So did theirs. Atabey moved to her left to hide behind a tree. Her nerves were on edge. She had been paranoid ever since that dream to the point where any unfamiliar face or presence she immediately took as a threat. She peeked around the tree to see that the person had disappeared. She wasn’t sure how they’d gone so fast but she took that moment to flee the area as soon as possible to make it to the temple.
She didn’t want her fear to keep holding her back. Maybe once she ascended, these fears won’t be so heavy on her. She sent a silent prayer to her Goddess.
No one can hurt you.
Atabey continued her journey toward the temple. As she wandered toward the forest that hid the temple, she felt a chill go down her spine. She could feel that someone was watching her. She looked back over her shoulder to see a man standing where she just was. He was wearing all black with vibrant red hair, holding an apple just as bright. He cocked his head to the side and waved at her.
Atabey’s blood ran cold. He made no move toward her but Atabey could feel the power emanating from him still. Her heart was in her throat. Who was he and why was he watching her?
It was when he took a step toward her, that her basket fell to her feet. She was frozen in her spot. He was so fast, it was as if his every step was the length of twelve.
Atabey finally willed her body to move. She turned to the forest and ran. Sticks pricked her feet as she bounded across the earth. She dared to look over her shoulder again. She could see his face clearly now. His pale skin glimmered in the bit of light filtering through the canopy. His eyes were a brilliant blue. He was not the man from that night, but he still felt familiar.
Atabey turned around and collided with something hard. A pair of arms grabbed her to steady her. She looked up and saw the most beautiful brown eyes she had ever seen. The way they sparkled in the sunlight that managed to filter through the canopy had her heart beating faster. He smiled down at her. She could see his lips moving but she couldn’t hear over the sound of her own heart pounding.
“Miss?”
Atabey snapped out of her trance.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t see you”
“It’s okay. Why were you running like that?”
“There’s a man over there. He appeared out of nowhere and I think he wanted to hurt me.”
The man looked past Atabey with confusion on his face. Atabey looked over her shoulder to see that no one was there. She was standing here in front of a beautiful man, breathless, speaking of a man who disappeared into thin air. She was sure she looked crazy. Where had he gone that fast? Atabey reached up for her necklace, but the jewelry was missing. She looked around, frantically, for her necklace. Atabey parted the grass and turned over every leaf. She needed her necklace. It was her lifeline.
The man bent down and grabbed Atabey’s trembling hands.
“I don’t see a man, but if you say you saw one then you saw one. Maybe you shouldn’t be out here alone. Where were you headed, I can take you there if you’d like?”
Atabey bit down on her lip. Should she go with him? Should she trust him? He appeared out of nowhere too…
It’s okay. He won’t hurt you, sweetheart. Trust him. He will bring you to me.
“It’s alright, Atabey. I’m not going to hurt you.”
Atabey pulled her hands away and slowly took a step back away from the man. His smile faltered a bit. He did it so fast that it wouldn’t have been noticeable had she not been looking at him.
“I didn’t tell you my name.”
The man dropped his hands to his side. He turned his head and laughed to himself. Atabey, still backing away from him, kept her eyes on him. She wasn’t sure what he was capable of and because she hadn’t ascended yet, she wasn’t sure what she was capable of either.
“Wow Christopher. You really fucked that up. Hyunjin, help me with this please.”
The red-haired man, who is assumed to be Hyunjin, appeared next to him. He looked annoyed with the dark-haired man next to him.
Atabey turned to run and collided with Hyunjin. He didn’t speak. He only kissed his fingertips and placed them on her lips. Atabey started to feel light headed and began to sway on her feet. She pushed past Hyunjin and tried to move through the trees to escape. Her feet felt heavy. The world around her started to move in slow motion.
What did he do to her?
She collapsed to the ground. She did her best to crawl away. Her vision started to blur and darken around the edges. Her body gave up on her and she could no longer move.
She felt weightless.
“I’m sorry Daughter of Aaerie. But he wants you and whatever he wants, he gets''
Atabey’s ears began to ring. It felt as if the ground was opening beneath her to swallow her whole. Heat began to encompass her body. She could feel flames lick her skin. It didn’t burn but the sensation was strange against her skin.
Atabey did her best to look through the blur in her vision but her senses were immediately overwhelmed by the opulent grandeur that surrounded her. The air was heavy with the scent of black pepper, cardamom, cinnamon, and clove. Beneath those scents was the metallic stench of blood.
Atabey's gaze was drawn inexorably to the walls, where torches, ensconced in sconces fashioned from the bones of fallen warriors, cast dancing shadows upon the stone floor, their flickering light imbuing the chamber with an otherworldly ambiance.
Stones of sapphire, emerald, ruby, and topaz were embedded in the rough-hewn stone like stars scattered across the night sky. Each gem glimmered with its own inner light, reflecting the torches' flames in a dazzling display of color and brilliance.
At the far end of the chamber, upon a dais of polished black marble, sits a throne—a formidable seat of power crafted from the bones of fallen titans and encrusted with gemstones of incomparable rarity and beauty.
She could feel the weight of body returning to her. Her fingers fidgeted against the stone floor.
She could feel the eyes of unseen watchers upon her, their presence a silent reminder of the ancient powers that dwell within these walls. And yet, despite the palpable sense of danger that hangs in the air, there is also a strange allure—a whisper of temptation that beckons her closer, drawing her toward the throne and the enigmatic figure who sits upon it.
With his eyes adorned in dark makeup that accentuates their piercing gaze, he commands the room with an air of quiet authority that would send shivers down the spine of even the bravest souls.
Clad in a black mesh shirt that clings to his powerful frame, he exudes an aura of raw strength and dark allure. The fabric whispers as he moves, revealing tantalizing glimpses of skin beneath its veil, hinting at the secrets that lie hidden beneath the surface.
In his hand, he holds a glass of dark liquor, the amber liquid swirling within its confines like liquid shadows. As he raises the glass to his lips, the flickering torchlight casts dancing shadows across his face, accentuating the sharp angles of his features and lending an otherworldly intensity to his dark eyes. There is a dangerous elegance to his movements, a sense of quiet power that is as intoxicating as the liquor he drinks.
As he rises from his throne, a palpable tension fills the air, thick with anticipation and a hint of danger. He moves with a predatory grace, his eyes locked on Atabey with a gaze that seems to strip away the layers of her very being, laying bare her deepest desires and fears.
With each step he takes, the sound of his boots echoes through the chamber like a death knell, sending a shiver down Atabey's spine. She can feel the weight of his presence bearing down upon her, suffocating her with its intensity, yet drawing her in with a magnetic pull that she cannot resist.
As he approaches, his movements are deliberate, his every gesture laden with a sense of power and control that leaves Atabey feeling both exhilarated and unnerved. She can sense the darkness that surrounds him, a swirling maelstrom of shadows and lust that threatens to engulf her whole.
Suddenly, without warning, his hand lashes out, sending his glass bottle hurtling towards the wall with a force that shatters it into a thousand glittering shards. The sound echoes through the chamber thunderously, a loud crack that reverberates in Atabey's ears, leaving her trembling in its wake.
In that moment, fear and desire collide within Atabey's veins, warring for dominance over her senses. She can feel the adrenaline coursing through her veins, her heart racing in her chest as she struggles to reconcile the conflicting emotions that rage within her.
On one hand, there is an instinctual terror that grips her soul, a primal fear of the darkness that surrounds him like a cloak. And yet, intertwined with that fear is an undeniable attraction, a magnetic pull that draws her towards him with a force that she cannot resist.
As he draws closer, the conflicting emotions within Atabey reach a fever pitch, threatening to consume her whole. She knows that she should flee, that she should run far and fast from the danger that lurks in his gaze. And yet, despite the warnings screaming in her mind, she finds herself rooted to the spot. A sense of familiarity starts to settle with her as she looks up at the man who stands before her—the man from those months ago, whose very presence ignites a fire within her that she cannot extinguish.
“Who are you?”
As Atabey's voice cuts through the tension-laden air, Jackson's gaze softens, his eyes momentarily losing their steely edge as he looks upon her with a mixture of longing and affection. Despite the darkness that surrounds him, there is a vulnerability in his gaze, a glimpse of the man beneath the facade of the King of Shadows.
A faint smile tugs at the corners of his lips as he hears her question, a gentle warmth suffusing his expression as he steps closer to her. His voice is low and husky, tinged with a hint of emotion that belies the stoic exterior he presents to the world.
"My dear Atabey," he murmurs, the endearment rolling off his tongue with a familiarity that speaks of a deeper connection between them. "I am many things—a ruler, a shadow in the night—but above all else, I am yours. My name is Ka-Yee, but you may call me Jackson''
There is a tenderness in his words, a sincerity that cuts through the darkness like a ray of sunlight piercing the clouds. As he reaches out to gently brush a stray lock of hair from her face, his touch is gentle, his fingers tracing the curve of her cheek with a reverence that speaks volumes.
He leaned down to her, his lips gently ghosting over hers. Not a kiss, but a delicate brush.
“Welcome home, baby.”
A searing heat flooded through Atabey’s body. Her golden tattoos slowly changing to crimson. Atabey looked down at her body in horror and instinctively recoiled from his touch, a flicker of frustration crossed Jackson's features, darkening his usually composed expression. His brows knit together slightly, a furrow forming between them as he watches her retreat, a pang of hurt and confusion tugging at his heart.
For a brief moment, the vulnerability in his gaze gives way to a flash of irritation, a shadow of frustration clouding the depths of his eyes. It's as if a barrier has been erected between them, a wall of uncertainty that threatens to drive them apart.
Despite his efforts to conceal it, the frustration is palpable in the tension that creeps into his posture, the set of his jaw tightening imperceptibly as he struggles to reign in his emotions. His fingers curl into fists at his sides, a silent testament to the restraint he exercises in the face of Atabey's rejection.
But beneath the mask of frustration, there lingers a deeper well of longing—a yearning that refuses to be ignored.
Atabey picks herself up from the floor and runs toward the ornate doors of the throne room.
“Would you like me to go after her?” Hyunjin asked, suddenly appearing beside him.
“No need. She has no idea where she’s going.”
As Atabey flees from Jackson's throne room, her heart pounds in her chest like a drumbeat echoing through the labyrinthine corridors of the castle. Panic courses through her veins, driving her forward with a desperate urgency as she searches for an escape from the oppressive darkness that surrounds her.
The winding passageways seem to stretch on endlessly, twisting and turning in a dizzying maze that leaves Atabey feeling disoriented and lost. Shadows dance along the walls, casting eerie shapes that seem to leer at her from the darkness, and the flickering torchlight offers little solace as it plays tricks on her senses.
With each step, Atabey's fear grows, gnawing at the edges of her mind like a ravenous beast. She can feel the weight of the castle pressing down upon her, suffocating her with its embrace, and the sense of isolation only serves to deepen her unease.
And then, as if by some cruel twist of fate, Atabey finds herself standing before a room unlike any she has seen before. Its entrance is shrouded in darkness, a sheer fabric that billows gently in the stagnant air, offering no clue as to what lies beyond.
For a moment, Atabey hesitates, her heart hammering in her chest as she debates whether to enter. But the sense of urgency that drives her forward outweighs her apprehension, and with a trembling hand, she pushes aside the fabric and steps into the unknown.
As she crosses the threshold, Atabey is enveloped in darkness, the oppressive silence of the room closing in around her like a suffocating cloak. But even in the midst of her fear, there is a sense of relief—a respite from the chaos and confusion that swirls outside.
With a deep breath, Atabey gathers her courage and presses forward, determined to uncover the secrets that lie hidden within the shadows.
Suddenly the torch lights flickered on.
The chamber is a realm unto itself, a sanctuary of opulence and intrigue nestled within the castle.
The centerpiece of the room is a massive bed, its intricately carved frame reaching towards the vaulted ceiling like a monument to decadence. Draped in sumptuous silks and velvets of deepest black, the bed beckons with an irresistible allure, promising comfort and luxury beyond compare.
Along the walls, rubies and aquamarines are set into the stone like jewels in a crown, their vibrant colors casting shimmering reflections across the chamber. Each gem seems to pulse with its own inner light, bathing the room in a kaleidoscope of hues that dance across the walls like ripples on a pond.
Above the bed hangs a mirror of polished silver, its surface gleaming with an otherworldly sheen. As Atabey approaches, she catches her reflection in the mirror's depths, her features bathed in the soft light of the torches as if seen through a veil of moonlight.
But it is not just the sight of the room that captivates Atabey—it is the scent that fills the air, a heady blend of tobacco and vanilla that hangs like a fragrant cloud around her. The aroma is intoxicating, wrapping her in its warm embrace.
As she inhales deeply, Atabey feels a sense of calm wash over her, the scent of tobacco and vanilla mingling with the whispers of the shadows to create a symphony of sensation that soothes her troubled mind.
“Well, I was going to wait to bring you here sweetheart, but since you’ve made your way into my chambers-shall I make love to you now?”
Atabey's heart leaps into her throat as she feels his presence behind her, a shiver running down her spine at Jackson's proximity. She turns slowly, her pulse quickening with a mixture of apprehension and anticipation, her breath catching in her throat as she meets his gaze.
There he stands, his eyes ablaze with an intensity that sends a thrill coursing through her veins. Atabey's mind whirls with a whirlwind of emotions—surprise, desire, fear, and longing intertwining like threads in a tangled tapestry.
As Jackson's words wash over her, Atabey feels a flush of heat spreading across her cheeks, her heart pounding in her chest echoing through the cavernous chamber. She was speechless, caught off guard by his boldness, yet unable to deny the flicker of desire that ignites within her at his words.
Jackson’s eyes drifted over to the bed. The large fixture beckoning to him. The vermillion sheets. He wanted Atabey there, spread open for his pleasure.
He reached out and touched her with the tips of his fingers. His touch was soft against her skin. He pulled her closer to him, burying face in the crook of her neck. Atabey's scent is a symphony of floral and fruity notes, each one intertwining with the next to create a fragrance that is both complex and enchanting. There are hints of jasmine and rose, their heady sweetness mingling with the light, airy notes of cherry blossoms and peach.
With each inhale, Jackson is transported to a world of beauty and serenity, his mind awash with images of sun-dappled meadows and blossoming orchards.
And as he presses his lips to the crook of her neck, inhaling her scent with every breath, Jackson knows that he is lost. His tongue traces her jawline, sending a rush of heat over her body. Jackson moans at the taste of her and starts to push her back toward the bed. The backs of her legs collide with the plushness of the mattress. The silk and velvet fabrics gently caressed her skin as her body settled into the bed.
She shudders as his hands push her skirt up her body. His touch is gentle against her. Atabey’s eyes fluttered closed at the feel of him. He nestled himself between her thighs, his tongue still tasting the skin of her neck.
“You don’t know how long I’ve waited for you, my love. I’ve been drinking my loneliness away, but you’re here now. I love you so much.” Jackson groaned. A ripping sound reached her ears, as Jackson tore the bodice of her dress.
“You don’t know how bad I want you on top of me, beneath me, screaming and crying my name sweetheart. I’ve only dreamed of this moment.” Jackson whimpered against her flesh.
That searing hot feeling flooded through Atabey again.
Atabey! Stop!
Atabey forced her eyes open, catching sight of herself in the mirror. Her tattoos were changing to red again.
She pressed her hands against Jackson’s chest and pushed him away. Jackson stares down at her, a pained look on his face. She kicked away from him, forcing her body up the bed and toward the bed frame. She had been fighting a fierce desire from the moment she’d laid eyes on him.
Jackson’s gaze was still intense, full of desire and restraint as his eyes trailed her body. She covered her exposed skin with her hands, cowering beneath his gaze.
“I can’t be here. I have to leave. I need to go to Aaerie’s temple. I need to go home.”
“Baby, this is your home now. I’ve waited for you for so long, and I can’t wait any longer. If you went to Aaerie’s temple, I would’ve lost you forever. And that goddess be damned if I lose you.”
Atabey met his gaze with a mixture of defiance and anger, her jaw set in a determined line as she spoke.
Aaerie be damned? Who is this man and how dare he curse your goddess?
"I am chosen by the Goddess Aaerie to lead my people. It is my duty, my purpose. I cannot abandon them, just as Aaerie has never abandoned me.”
Atabey pushed herself off of the bed and headed toward the sheer fabric of his room. As Atabey steps out of Jackson's chamber, the labyrinthine hallways of the underworld castle stretch out before her like a maze of twisting corridors and shadowed alcoves. Each turn she takes seems to lead her further from her intended path, the oppressive darkness of the castle closing in around her like a suffocating embrace.
Jackson’s presence seems to haunt her at every turn, his voice a constant whisper in the back of her mind, urging her to stay—to return to him and let him show her how much she means to him.
But Atabey pushes on, her determination driving her forward even as doubt gnaws at the edges of her consciousness. She knows that she cannot stay, that she must escape the clutches of this place and return to her people—to fulfill her destiny as their chosen leader.
Finally, after what feels like an eternity of wandering through the maze-like corridors, Atabey reaches the doors to the castle—the threshold between the world she knows and the unknown expanse of the crimson desert beyond.
But as she reaches for the door handle, Jackson calls out to her. Turning slowly, Atabey's heart sinks as she sees Jackson standing before her once again, his expression pained and desperate.
Why does she feel guilty for leaving?
"Atabey,," his voice was loud and commanding, echoing in the silence of the deserted hallway. "You cannot leave. You will die out there without me.”
“No, I cannot stay here. My people need me.”
“If you walk out that door, death or life, whatever fate has for you is on you.”
With that, she pushes open the doors and steps outside, into the crimson desert beyond. The air is dry and acrid, the sky above dark and foreboding, illuminated only by the eerie glow of a blood-red moon.
As Atabey takes her first steps into the unknown, she feels a sudden weakness wash over her, her vision blurring and her limbs growing heavy.
How long have I been walking?
Panic rises within her as she finally realizes that she is alone, lost in a vast and unforgiving wilderness with no one to guide her.
With a sinking heart, she looks back towards the castle, hoping to see someone behind her, ready to come to her aid. But to her horror, she finds only emptiness—the castle was no longer visible. Only the red desert was present, the wind whirling the red sand around her, as if mocking her with an impassive indifference.
Atabey trudges through the vast expanse of the crimson desert, each step feels like a struggle against the oppressive weight of the world bearing down upon her. The air is thick with the acrid scent of sand and dust, the heat of the desert beating down upon her like a relentless hammer.
With every passing moment, Atabey's strength wanes.
Her limbs grew heavier with each labored breath. The sand beneath her feet seems to shift and sway, mocking her with its endless expanse, as if daring her to continue on in the face of the odds against her.
And then, with a suddenness that takes her breath away, Atabey's legs give out beneath her, the weight of her exhaustion finally overcoming her. She collapses onto the burning sand, her body trembling with fatigue and despair as she struggles to push herself back to her feet.
But the desert shows no mercy, its unforgiving embrace swallowing her whole as she sinks deeper into its crimson depths.
**********
For a moment, Atabey lies there, helpless and alone, the vastness of the desert stretching out before her like an endless sea of torment. But then, with a quickness that catches her off guard, darkness descends upon her vision, and she slips into unconsciousness, her body succumbing to the exhaustion of her ordeal.
When Atabey awakens, she finds herself lying on Jackson's bed, the softness of the mattress beneath her a stark contrast to the harshness of the desert sands. For a moment, she is disoriented, unsure of how she came to be here, but then the memories come flooding back—the desert, the heat, the overwhelming sense of despair.
As she sits up, her heart heavy with confusion and longing, Atabey casts a gaze around the room, searching for any sign of Jackson's presence. But, she finds herself alone, the room shrouded in silence save for the sound of her own ragged breath.
As Atabey's gaze drifts up to the mirror above Jackson's bed, she is taken aback by the sight that greets her. Gone is the simple attire she wore before—now, she is adorned in a sleek black dress that hugs her curves like a second skin. The bottom of the dress stopped just above her knees, giving a peek to her thick thighs.. A leather corset cinches her waist, accentuating her thicker frame and adding a hint of edge to her, usual, innocent appearance.
For a moment, Atabey can't help but marvel at the transformation, the unfamiliar garments lending her an air of mystery and allure that she had never known before. She runs her hands over the smooth fabric of her dress, the sensation sending shivers racing down her spine as she takes in her reflection with a mixture of awe and disbelief.
But as she sits up in the bed, her attention is drawn to a more pressing concern—the parched feeling in her throat that serves as a stark reminder of her ordeal in the desert. With a grimace, she reaches up to touch her throat, the skin feeling dry and rough beneath her fingertips.
“Hello, sweetheart. You’re finally awake.”
Jackson’s sudden appearance is an unexpected interruption to Atabey's thoughts. She turns to face him, her eyes widening in surprise at the sight of him dressed all in red, the black makeup still lingering beneath his eyes like a shadow.
In his hands, he carries a tray laden with a cup of water and a platter of various meats, cheeses, fruits, and vegetables. As he sets the tray down on the bed before her, Atabey can't help but feel a pang of gratitude at the gesture, despite the fear and resentment currently flowing through her.
"Thank you," she murmurs softly, her voice barely above a whisper as she reaches for the cup of water, the cool liquid soothing her parched throat with every sip. She casts a sideways glance at Jackson, who sat down next to her on the bed. He gently traced her jawline with his thumb before doing the same to her bottom lip.
“How are you feeling, my love?”
"Why do you insist on calling me those names?" she demands, her voice tinged with frustration. "My love, sweetheart, baby—what do they mean to you?"
Jackson meets her gaze with a steady intensity, his eyes burning with a fervor that sends a shiver down Atabey's spine.
"Because that's what you are to me, Atabey," he replies, his voice low and husky with emotion. "You are my love, my sweetheart, my baby. We are destined to be together, now and forever."
But Atabey shakes her head, her resolve unwavering even in the face of Jackson's unmoving conviction.
"You say things like that but you were willing to let me die out there. My goddess would never."
Jackson's expression darkens, a shadow passing over his features as he listens to her words.
"Your goddess," he scoffs, his voice dripping with disdain. "She doesn't choose people to lead. She chooses innocent women to feast on their souls until they die slowly, and they end up down here in the underworld with me. Besides, that was a lesson you needed to learn."
A cracking sound was heard as Atabey’s hand collided with Jackson’s face. This was the second time he disrespected her goddess and she was becoming annoyed by it. And a lesson she needed to learn? Who was he to think he was qualified to teach her anything?
Jackson laughed, his husky voice filling the space. He admired her tenacity.
“You find me funny? You are a pig for disrespecting Aaerie.”
“Of course I find you funny, my love. You have such an unwavering devotion to that heartless deity, who has never shown you any proof of her love, and yet you are not even giving me the chance to show you my love and devotion. You would rather continue worshiping an evil, soulless wench. It is quite funny.”
Atabey refuses to believe that her goddess could be capable of such cruelty. "I don't believe you," she declares, her voice laced with venom.
A smirk appears on Jackson’s face. Darkness flickering in his eyes as he reaches out to gently cup Atabey's cheek. "Then let me show you," he murmurs, his touch sending shivers racing down her spine. "Come with me, Atabey. Let me show you the truth."
Jackson held out his hand to her. Atabey slapped it away from her before standing up from the bed. She nodded her head toward the sheer fabric.
“Lead the way”
*************
As Jackson leads Atabey through the corridors of the underworld, a sense of apprehension hangs heavy in the air. Atabey's heart pounds in her chest like a drumbeat echoing through the cavernous passageways, her senses on high alert as she follows Jackson deeper into the heart of darkness.
Could it be true? Could her goddess be nothing more than a cruel trickster, luring innocent souls to their doom in the depths of the underworld?
Finally, they come upon what appears to be a dead end—a solid wall of stone stretching out before them with no apparent way forward. But as Jackson places his hand upon what seems to be a random rock jutting out from the wall, a mirage-like filter shimmers into existence, revealing a hidden passage beyond.
With a sense of trepidation, Atabey follows Jackson through the opening, her breath catching in her throat as they step into the dimly lit chamber beyond. And then, as the darkness gives way to light, Atabey's eyes widen in astonishment at the sight that greets her—a crystal-clear lake shimmering in the center of the chamber, surrounded by a multitude of spirits weeping silently upon its shores.
Each spirit is a woman, their ethereal forms adorned with tattoos similar to Atabey's own. They sit in silent vigil around the lake, their eyes brimming with tears as they gaze into its depths with a haunting sense of longing.
Jackson calls out to them in an ancient language, his voice echoing off the walls of the chamber like a whisper in the wind. Slowly, the spirits turn to face them, their faces etched with a mixture of sorrow and resignation.
One of the spirits steps forward, her form glowing with an otherworldly light as she reaches out a hand to Atabey. With trembling fingers, Atabey reaches out to touch hers, feeling a surge of power pass between them as their hands meet.
Tears stream down the spirit's face as she speaks in a language unknown to Atabey, her words carrying the weight of centuries of sorrow and regret. But as Jackson translates her words, Atabey's heart clenches with a sense of disbelief and horror at the truth she reveals.
The spirits, it seems, were once like Atabey—chosen by their goddess Aaerie to ascend and lead their people. But instead of finding glory and honor in the world above, they were deceived and betrayed, their souls consumed by Aaerie and the remaining sent to the darkness of the underworld.
As the weight of the revelation settles upon her, Atabey feels her mind spinning with disbelief and fear. She recoils from Jackson's touch, her breath coming in ragged gasps as she struggles to process the enormity of what she has learned.
“I want to go home.” Tears started to fall from Atabey’s eyes.
“Baby, you are home. This is your home now.” Jackson grabbed the back of Atabey’s head and cradled her in his arms.
Atabey pushed against Jackson’s frame. Her eyes red from the tears in her eyes.
“I want to go back to my home. My grandmother’s home. Take me home”
“Atabey, I want nothing more than to give you everything you want. But I cannot give you that. Anything else you desire of me, it’s yours.” He traced a fingertip from her jaw down her neck and to her collarbone. “And soon, I hope that you’ll want me the way that I want you, sweetheart.”
Atabey's vision began to blur, her head swimming with dizziness as the pressure in her skull built to a crescendo. She staggered, her knees buckled beneath her as darkness closed in around her, and in the chaos of the moment, Jackson caught her in his arms, his voice a distant echo in the darkness as she slipped into unconsciousness.
********
As Atabey's eyes flutter open, she finds herself once again in Jackson's room, the familiar surroundings providing a strange sense of comfort amidst the chaos of her thoughts. But this time, there is something different—a subtle shift in the air that sets her senses on edge.
She can feel it—the presence of another, the faint sound of water splashing echoing through the room from behind a sheer black fabric that hangs like a veil between her and the unknown.
Curiosity piqued, Atabey sits up in the bed, her eyes scanning the room until they land upon her reflection in the mirror. She gasps in astonishment at the sight that greets her, a vision of herself adorned in a stunning red corset dress, the fabric hugging her curves with a sensual elegance that takes her breath away.
With a hesitant step, Atabey rises from the bed, the fabric of her dress rustling softly as she moves. Her heart races with anticipation as she approaches the sheer black fabric that separates her from whatever lies beyond.
With a trembling hand, she reaches out and pulls back the fabric, revealing a sight that leaves her breathless—a bathing pool, steam rising from its surface like wisps of fog in the morning light.
And there, amidst the swirling steam, sits Jackson, his blond hair dripping water as he cleanses himself in the warm embrace of the pool. Atabey's breath catches in her throat at the sight of him—his muscles glistening with droplets of water, his skin bronzed and radiant in the soft glow of the room.
For a moment, time seems to stand still as Atabey drinks in the sight before her, her heart pounding in her chest with a mixture of desire and longing. She feels a flush of heat spreading across her cheeks as she watches him, the intensity of her gaze never wavering as she takes in every detail of his form.
He leaned to the side and grabbed an emerald glass bottle. He poured, what smelled like eucalyptus oil, into his other hand. Atabey bit down on her bottom lips as she watched him rub that oil over his chest.
I could do that for him….
And then, as if he could read her mind, Jackson looked up at her, his eyes meeting hers with a knowing smile that sent a shiver down her spine. He could feel himself hardening under her gaze, as he held out his hand to her.
“You are more than welcome to join me, sweetheart.”
Atabey steps back from the sheer fabric, her cheeks burn with embarrassment, her gaze fixed firmly on the ground as she tries to regain her composure. She can feel the weight of Jackson's presence in the room, his every movement sent a shiver down her spine as she struggled to meet his eyes.
Atabey looks up as Jackson walks back into the room. Water dripped from his hair down his face. The droplets slid down to his neck and chest. He swiped his hand down his bare chest and to his pelvis. Atabey couldn’t help but follow his hands on his body as he stood, naked, before her.
“Do you like what you see, baby?”
“I…You…Big” Atabey could feel her stomach clench at the erotic thoughts that started to bombard her.
Jackson. Naked. Bed. Writhing. Sweaty. Needy.
Atabey dropped her eyes to the floor. She was still trying to process Aaerie being an evil deity and consuming the souls of her worshippers. She needed to focus. She couldn’t lose herself in Jackson’s naked form at the moment.
Too risky.
She feels a sense of relief as Jackson hands her the cup of water that was sitting on the table in the center of the room.
As much as she wanted to take her mind off of it, she could feel Jackson staring at her. Unashamed at his nudity, he continued to watch her.
“I would have loved for you to join me. I could have given you immense pleasure.”
“Please, don’t. You shouldn’t say things like that to me.”
“You’re right. How about I show you? Tell me to show you, sweetheart.”
Atabey looked up to see Jackson stroking himself. He bit down on his bottom lip, staring at her with a fire she had never seen in anyone before.
“No.” Atabey looked away, doing her best to not let her true feelings show.
Jackson knelt down in front of her. He hands gently caressing her legs.
“I know you feel the connection between us, baby.” Jackson gently kissed her thighs.
“And if I do? That doesn’t mean I want to sleep with you.”
“Oh baby, neither of us will be sleeping.” Jackson’s intense gaze swept over her. He wanted nothing more than to rip that dress from her body and consume her, but he wanted her to want it too.
“You shouldn’t talk like that. I want no part of you.”
“I think you want every part of me” Jackson reached out and traced her bottom lip with his thumb.
“You truly are delusional.” Atabey ran her tongue over her lips, tasting his finger in the process.
“Delusional? Perhaps I’m more perceptive than you want me to be. I am a god, sweetheart.”
Atabey, reluctantly, forced her legs closed and moved away from him. Jackson had a way with words that made her want to give her all to him. But she knew she couldn’t do that. She suddenly remembered she had a cup of water in her hand, due to its content spilling onto her from her shaky hands.
As she drinks her water, Atabey can't help but feel a surge of curiosity bubbling within her.
"Was it you who dressed me in these clothes?" she asked.
Jackson shook his head, his expression solemn. "No, it was Christopher's mate," he replied, his voice low. "She's been taking care of you while you were unconscious."
Atabey wasn’t sure if she could believe him. Her head was still spinning from her current predicament.
"Why would Aaerie take the souls of her worshippers?" she asked, her voice full of anger and pain.
Jackson's gaze darkened, a shadow passing over his features as he spoke. "Aaerie has always been jealous of any woman, human or deity, that surpasses her in beauty," he explains, his voice heavy with sorrow. "She marks them with tattoos and grooms them to believe they will lead their people into prosperity."
He paused, his eyes searching Atabey's for understanding.``I know because I've sat back and watched for millennia," he continued, his voice barely above a whisper. "The souls of those consumed cry out to me, which is why I had them hidden behind that mirage wall."
Atabey's heart clenched at the revelation, a sense of horror washed over her as she realized the extent of Aaerie's cruelty. "But why me?" she whispered, her voice trembling with fear.
Jackson's gaze softened, a look of profound sadness in his eyes as he reached out to gently cup Atabey's cheek. "Because you are the purest soul Aaerie has ever found," he murmured, his voice filled with tenderness. "When I saw you, I knew I couldn't bear to see how that future would unfold for you. That's why I appeared to you those months ago, I wanted to take you with me to avoid the danger that awaited you at Aaerie's temple."
Jackson could see the despair on Atabey’s face. He took the cup from her shaking hand. He cupped her face and looked her in the eyes, Atabey could see the sadness in his.
“I can never go home. My grandmother’s home…”
“I’m so sorry you found out your purpose was a lie, my love. I wish I could take the pain and confusion from you but you’re safe here with me. I will take care of you. And it is important that you do not go and talk to the spirits of your sisters alone. They are your family, but they are detached from their bodies. They are not who they once were and spirits can become malevolent. Promise me, you won’t go alone.”
Atabey thought for a moment. Could she really trust his word? She thought about her sisters’ spirits behind that wall and her heart sank.
“I promise.”
Jackson smiled warmly at Atabey.
Atabey looked into Jackson's eyes, she felt a strange pull at her chest—a sensation she can't quite explain but one that fills her with warmth and a sense of belonging. She saw it reflected in his eyes, the depth of his emotions laid bare for her to see, the way he cared deeply for her, willing to move paradise and hell to ensure her safety and happiness.
“Do you need anything, Atabey?" Jackson asked, his voice soft with concern. "Anything at all, just name it."
Atabey hesitated for a moment, her mind raced with possibilities before settling on a simple request. "I'm hungry," she admitted, a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips.
Jackson's smile is like a ray of sunshine breaking through the clouds as he takes her hand in his.
“You might want to put some clothes on,” Atabey giggled. Jackson looked down at his nakedness and smirked. He could see Atabey’s eyes drop down to his erection and she quickly looked away.
Jackson quickly went to his drawers and pulled out a pair of leather pants. He threw them on and made his way back to Atabey, who was looking at herself in the mirror above the bed.
“You’re beautiful, Atabey”
“Thank you. So are you.” Atabey murmured. It pulled on Jackson’s heart to hear her say that to him.
Atabey laced her arm through his, and stepped out into the hall. The silence was comforting as she followed his lead to the dining hall. The room is bathed in the warm glow of candle lit chandeliers, their flickering flames casting dancing shadows across the marble floor.
At the center of the room stood a long marble table, its surface adorned with an array of fruits and delicacies fit for a king. Atabey's eyes lit up at the sight of the peaches, her favorite fruit, nestled amongst the other offerings.
With a delighted squeal, she reaches out and grabs a peach, its juicy flesh yielding beneath her fingers as she takes a bite. The sweetness exploded on her tongue, filling her mouth with flavor as she savored every delicious morsel.
As they sat down to eat, Atabey and Jackson engaged in a long conversation, their words flowing freely as they shared stories and dreams. Atabey tells Jackson about her garden, how she loves to spend her days planting flowers and tending to the various fruits and vegetables that grow there. She speaks of her love for drawing, the way it allows her to express herself and capture the beauty of the world around her.
Jackson listens intently, his eyes shining with genuine interest as Atabey talks about her favorite things. For the first time in what feels like an eternity, he feels a spark of joy ignite within him—a glimmer of hope that maybe, just maybe, there is more to life in the underworld than he ever dared to imagine. And as he looks at Atabey, her eyes alight with passion and excitement, he knows that he would do anything to keep that spark alive, to see her smile and hear her laughter echo through the halls of his lonely kingdom always.
********
Six Months Later
Atabey sinks into the warm, fragrant waters of the bathing pool, she feels the tension of the day melting away with each passing moment. The oils, scented with the sweet fragrance of peaches and the comforting warmth of vanilla, envelop her in a cocoon of relaxation, filling her senses with a sense of tranquility and calm.
Her mind drifts back to the events of the past six months—six months spent in Jackson's company. In the beginning, she had been hesitant to trust him, wary of his enigmatic charm and the air of danger that seemed to cling to him like a shadow. But as time passed and she learned more about Aaerie and her twisted nature, she found herself opening up to him, slowly but surely, allowing herself to lean on him for support and guidance.
Despite his intimidating presence and the occasional glimpses of anger that flared within him like a raging storm, Jackson had always been soft and gentle with her—his voice never rising, his touch always tender and reassuring. He had a way of making her feel safe and secure, as though nothing could harm her as long as he was by her side.
And as she reflected on their time together, Atabey found herself falling deeper and deeper under his spell, drawn to him like a moth to a flame. She can't deny the pull of his charisma, the way his mere presence fills her with a sense of warmth and belonging she has never known before.
But amidst the swirling waters of the bathing pool, Atabey finds herself grappling with a whirlwind of emotions—fear and desire warring within her heart as she struggles to make sense of her feelings for Jackson. She knows that he is not without his flaws, that there are parts of him that are dark and dangerous, but she can't help but be drawn to him nonetheless, captivated by the depth of his passion and the intensity of his love.
Just as she begins to lose herself in the blissful embrace of the waters, she could hear Jackson enter the other room. She could hear the rustling of paper and drawing implements in hand. He placed them gently on the bed, his movements graceful and deliberate, before turning to leave the room.
But before he can make his exit, Atabey calls out his name, the sound echoing softly through the chamber. Jackson pauses in his steps, turning to face her with a curious expression as he steps into the bathing area and leans against the wall.
Atabey looks up at him, her eyes drinking in the sight of him—his black and red color-blocked outfit contrasting sharply against the pale stone walls of the chamber, his blond hair falling in loose waves around his face. She feels a smile tugging at the corners of her lips, a playful twinkle dancing in her eyes as she leans on her arms against the edge of the bathing pool.
"Enjoying your bath, sweetheart?" Jackson asks, his voice warm and inviting as he meets her gaze.
Atabey nods, her smile widening as she basks in the warmth of his attention. Images filled her mind.  "I am," she replies, her voice soft and melodious. "But it would be even better with some company."
Jackson's lips curve into a smile, his eyes sparkling with amusement as he meets her gaze. "Is that an invitation?" he asks, his tone teasing as he steps closer to the edge of the pool.
Atabey's heart skips a beat at the proximity of him, her pulse quickening with anticipation as she nods eagerly. "Of course," she replies, breathlessly. "I would love nothing more than to share this moment with you."
Jackson begins to remove his clothes. Atabey watches as each item of clothing hits the floor. He’s standing in front of her in all of his naked glory. He’s not erect this time but he’s still big. Atabey’s heartbeat quickens at the sight of him.
Jackson joined Atabey in the bathing pool, the warm water enveloping them both in a soothing embrace, sending ripples of relaxation coursing through their bodies. Atabey felt a sense of contentment wash over her as Jackson settled beside her, his presence like a comforting anchor amidst the swirling waters.
With a gentle touch, Jackson took Atabey's feet in his hands, his fingers working magic as he began to massage away the tension of the day. Atabey sighed with pleasure, closing her eyes as she surrendered to the sensation, her muscles melting beneath Jackson's skilled touch.
“In the depths of the underworld, where shadows reign,
I found a light that banished all my pain.
With every breath, with every beat of my heart,
I knew that you were mine, right from the start.
In your arms, I've found my sanctuary,
A love so true, it's beyond ordinary.
With every touch, with every whispered vow,
I know that I need you, here and now.
So let me hold you close, never let you go,
Together, we'll face whatever storms may blow.
For in your love, I've found my home,
Forever and always, you'll never be alone
Oh, Atabey, my love, my heart's desire,
You set my soul on fire.
I need you more than words can say,
Forever and always, in every way.”
“That song is beautiful Jackson” Atabey sighed, his husky voice sending a shiver through her, despite the water being warm.
“As beautiful as my inspiration.” Jackson looked at her adoringly.
As they relax in the warmth of the bathing pool, conversation flows easily between them, the intimate setting fostering a sense of closeness and connection. Atabey can't help but feel a sense of curiosity tugging at her mind as she considers the question that has been lingering on her lips.
"Where do you usually sleep, Jackson?" she asked, her voice soft and curious.
Jackson's expression softens, a hint of warmth in his eyes as he meets her gaze. "I have another room not far from here," he replied, his voice gentle and reassuring. "It's nothing compared to this one, but it suits my needs just fine."
Atabey nods, a thoughtful expression crossed her features as she considered his words. And then, with a suddenness that surprises even her, she finds herself blurting out the question that has been weighing on her mind.
"Would you like to join me in sleeping in your bed tonight?"
Jackson's eyes widened in surprise at the unexpected invitation, his lips curving into a smile as he met Atabey's gaze. "I would enjoy that," he replied, his voice filled with warmth and sincerity.
With a sense of excitement fluttering in her chest, Atabey leans in closer to Jackson, her heart racing with anticipation as she looks forward to spending the night in his arms, the warmth of their shared connection filling her with a sense of belonging and comfort she has never known before.
**********
Atabey reclined in Jackson's bed, she felt a sense of tranquility wash over her, the soft silk of the sheets caressed her skin like a lover's touch. The room is bathed in the warm glow of tall red candles, their flickering flames casted dancing shadows across the walls and ceiling, creating an atmosphere that is both intimate and seductive.
When Jackson enters the room with a tray of wine, strawberries, and peaches, Atabey's breath catches in her throat at the sight of him. His leather pants were tight on his thigh. They were untied at the waist, giving her a peak of his flesh. He decided to go shirtless, his beautiful chest and abs on display.
His presence filled the room with a magnetic energy, drawing her gaze to him like a moth to a flame.
Jackson also takes in the sight of Atabey. Her red silk robe clinging to her curves in all the right places. The slit in the fabric is high, revealing a tantalizing glimpse of her thighs, and Jackson feels a surge of desire course through him at the sight.
With a graceful flourish, Jackson places the tray on the table beside the bed and passes Atabey a glass of wine. She takes it with a grateful smile, her fingers brushing against his as she accepts the glass.
"Thank you," she murmurs softly.
As she takes a sip of the wine, Atabey is enveloped in its rich, deep cherry flavor, the taste filling her mouth with a sense of warmth and decadence. She closed her eyes, savoring the sensation as it danced across her tongue, her senses heightened by the intoxicating aroma of the candles and the heady presence of Jackson beside her.
Atabey placed her glass back on the table and beckoned Jackson closer to her with her finger. He obliged, knees falling onto the bed, his hand following behind, slowly he crawled toward her. They stare at one another, the air between them crackles with tension, the space filled with a palpable sense of lust and desire.
They have shared countless moments together, but this one feels different, charged with an electric energy that seems to hum in the air around them.
Jackson's gaze is intense, his dark eyes burned with a hunger that mirrored her own. He reached out a hand, cupping Atabey's cheek in his palm with a gentleness that belied the intensity of his emotions.
He closed the distance between them, his lips met hers in a kiss that sent sparks flying through her veins.
Atabey's breath catches in her throat at the sensation, her entire body came alive with a rush of heat and longing. His lips are warm and soft against hers, moving with a rhythm that is both tender and passionate, as though they have been waiting for this moment their entire lives.
“Atabey,” Jackson whimpered against her lips, “I need you.”
Jackson’s hands went to the ties of her robe. One pull of the fabric and it was falling away from her body. She was so beautiful naked. Ths moles that adorned her skin around her breasts were stunning. Jackson wanted his hands on her everywhere at once. His fingers traced the gold tattoos of her skin, and as he did—they slowly turned crimson.
Atabey looked up in the mirror and at her body in awe.
“They’re turning red again” She whispered.
“Yes. It’s a sign of your devotion changing from Aaerie to me.” Jackson explained.
Atabey looked back at Jackson and placed her hand around the back of his neck. She pulled him back toward her and kissed him hard, catching him off guard. Her hands pulled at his leather pants, nearly ripping them off of his body.
Jackson was surprised by her boldness, but he didn’t want to push her too much.
“Baby,” Jackson said, hardly getting the word out between her kisses, “I want you to take control tonight.”
“Hmmm?” Atabey was barely listening as she wrapped her legs tight around his waist and her pelvis was raised up and down, pushing against his hardened length..
“It’s you tonight.” Jackson said, sitting back on his knees.
“Me? But..why?” Atabey asked breathlessly.
“Sweetheart, I know that when you devoted your life to her that meant you remained pure. You haven’t known any man and as much as I’d like to claim your body on every surface in this room, I want your first time to be comfortable. I want you to know that I will only do whatever you allow me to.”
Atabey’s mind ran wild at his words.
White-hot and consuming. Bodies, naked and grinding against one another. Hands on her hips as he’s between her lush thighs. She wanted all of him, all at once.
Jackson moved so that he was laying on his back, in the center of the bed, and she was on top of him, sitting on my hips.
“My hands will stay right here” he informed her, holding onto the ornate headboard, “You are in control, my love. My body is yours to do as you wish. Do anything you’d like to me.”
Jackson closed his eyes, a pleasant smile on his lips as he waited for Atabey’s touch.
She moved over for a second, but didn’t get off him.
Jackson peeked at her and she had the red silk tie of her robe in hand. Smiling, she leaned down and kissed him gently. Atabey then laid the tie over his eyes, not tying it behind his head, just letting it sit there, hiding her from his view.
“I love this so far.” Jackson smiled dreamily.
“Ka-Yee, God of the Underworld. You are powerful and intimidating but you are also beautiful and thoughtful. While my tattoos are changing, showing my devotion to you, tonight…you belong to me. You are to devote every part of your being to me. Is that clear?”
“Yes sweetheart,” Jackson sighed. Jackson couldn’t describe the feeling of her using his other name. She had never used it since he introduced himself to her, but this let him know that she was truly devoted to him.
He could feel her crawl up his chest and then her legs were on both sides of his head. Her honey scent clouded his mind. He could feel the warmth emanating from her, making him salivate. He flicked his tongue out, in hopes of catching a taste but she wasn’t close enough.
“Atabey, sweetheart..Please, I need to taste you”
“I…I don’t,-”
“It’s okay love, just sit down. I’ll do all the work”
Atabey hesitated before slightly lowering herself down. Jackson could feel her getting closer but not close enough.
“It’s fine, baby. A little lower, let me taste you baby.”
Atabey lowered herself onto Jackson’s face. His tongue immediately pushed between her slick folds. Jackson hummed in delight as he lapped at her juices. She became wetter as he continued to lick and suck at her. He took her sensitive bud, gently, between his teeth.
Atabey sighed at the unfamiliar feeling. She had never felt like this before. No man has ever touched her and she never touched herself. Jackson was the only man to do this to her and she was enjoying every minute of it.
Atabey screamed out loud, staring blankly at the mirror above the bed, as Jackson’s lush lips covered her clit. He moved his tongue over it. Side to side, then up and down…then in circles, wet, hot circles.
His tongue, his lips, his teeth. He used them all.
He could feel her legs beginning to tremble.
Jackson encouraged Atabey to release for him. He wanted to drink every drop of her sweet nectar. Atabey’s cries of pleasure reverberated off the walls. That only encouraged Jackson to push her to the edge again. He wanted all that she could give him and more.
“That’s it baby. Come for me baby. Let it go”
Atabey’s hands gripped the headboard. She could hardly hold herself up. This feeling was intense. She cried as she released onto his face, her legs locking around his head. Jackson pushed his tongue further inside of her, relishing in whatever remained.
“Jackson, please please please” Atabey chanted over and over.
“Please what baby? Tell me what you want”
“I want you. I want you so bad”
“Then have me baby. I’m yours”
Atabey scooted back, that way she was hovering over his dick that was standing straight up.
“Jackson, I’m going to need your help. I’ve never done this.”
“It’s okay baby. I’ll teach you. May I have my eyes?”
Atabey removed the tie from his face. Jackson looked up at her and smiled. Her face was flushed from her orgasm. The robe she was wearing had joined his pants on the floor. Jackson was entranced by the view of her naked body. The now red tattoos glimmered in the candlelight of the room.
“You are so beautiful, Atabey.”
“Thank you”
Atabey felt her face heat up as Jackson’s eyes raked over her body. At one time, the idea of being with a man would have sent Atabey straight to Aaerie’s temple. This time, her body was singing and rejoicing.
“Close your eyes”
Atabey didn’t argue with him.
“I want you to imagine me behind you. Imagine my fingers gently caressing your skin.”
Atabey could feel phantom hands on her body. The feeling sent a rush of heat through her body.
“Now, imagine me gently pushing you forward. You’re on your hands and knees for me. I’m spreading your wet lips open again, sliding my fingers between your wet folds. Can you feel me baby?”
“Yes, yes I feel you”
“Good. I want you to touch yourself baby. Slide your fingers in, nice and slow”
Atabey obeyed. Even though he said she would be in control, he didn’t have a problem letting him take the reins.
“That’s it baby. Just like that. Keep those fingers going”
Atabey slowly pumped her fingers in and out. This was all new to her but it was exciting. Jackson ignited something in her that she never knew could be lit.
“Lean forward for me baby” Again, Atabey obliged.
Jackson lifted himself up on his elbows. He took one of her nipples into her mouth. Atabey whimpered at the feeling of his hot mouth, once again, on her body. The combination of her fingers and his mouth sent shocks through her body.
“You taste so sweet, my love. Are you ready for me to be inside of you?”
“I am”
“Good, I’m going to use my hands for a moment.”
Jackson grabbed Atabey’s wrist and slowly pulled her fingers out of her. He put them to his lips, kissing them before taking them in his mouth. He moaned at her sweet taste. He gently grabbed on to her waist and slid her down to his hardened shaft. He lifted her up so that she was directly over him.
“Take me in your hands, sweetheart.”
Jackson hissed as Atabey’s soft hands wrapped around him. He felt like he could come right then and there.
“Lower yourself on to me, baby”
Jackson bit down on his lip as he felt his tip brush against Atabey’s slick folds. She was so wet for him, he couldn’t wait to be inside her. He slowly raised his hips to slip inside of her more. He watched her face contort in discomfort.
“Take your time, baby. I’m right here.”
Atabey began to lower herself more onto him more. He was big and this was new to her. He stretched her but it made her feel wonderful. She was beginning to feel alive.
Jackson kept his hands planted onto her waist and planted his feet on the bed. He slowly raised his hips to meet hers. Atabey gasped at the sudden feeling. This was better than sitting in the sun. This was better than her grandmother’s garden.
To think, she would’ve missed this feeling if he had not taken her. She was glad he did.
Atabey anchored her hands on his chest as he picked up his pace. He grunted as his shaft pumped into her tight walls. She was warm and wet. It was nothing like Jackson had ever dreamed before. His nerves were sparking with renewed life. It was sheer bliss.
“That’s it, baby. Take me. You’re doing so good for me.”
Her body slammed up and down.
She panted his name over and over again, “Ka-Yee, Ka-Yee, Ka-Yee” She couldn’t say it enough. It was etched into every cell in her body. “Ka-Yee….Jackson”
“Kiss me,” Jackson growled.
She meshed her mouth against his, his hand holding her by the back of her neck. She gasped in pleasure and he swallowed the sound. Fast and hard, his tongue sparred with her as she rode him.
“Come for me, sweetheart. Show me how much you love having me inside you. Show me, baby” Jackson growled.
Atabey couldn’t hold back. Her orgasm clouded her vision. She threw back her head in pleasure, with the tightening of her stomach. Her nails dug into the flesh of his chest, making him hiss. Jackson could feel her leaking onto him like a waterfall. His hips and pelvis were soaked from her orgasm.
He reared into her at an incredible pace, chasing his own orgasm.
“Oh, fuck baby. I love you, I adore you.” Jackson whimpered.
The sound of their skin pounding against one another, bounced off of the walls. His feet dug into the mattress of his bed as he continued to sink into her. His orgasm made his hips stutter, as he pushed his seed into her womb.
Atabey collapsed onto his chest. She was breathless, but also full of life. She could see that her tattoos were now completely red. She was pulled into his orbit and she didn’t want to leave. Jackson traced circles on her back as the two of them caught their breath.
“Mine, baby. You’re mine forever.”
“Yours, Ka-Yee. Yours”
********************
Atabey’s eyes slowly opened. She hadn’t realized that she had fallen asleep. She patted the spot on the bed next to her to see that Jackson was not there. Atabey sat up, her body sore from the night before.
She grabbed her robe from the floor and put it on. She was used to not seeing other people around, but on the off chance someone else was there-she wanted to be covered. She stepped outside of the room, looking around the empty halls. It was quiet. She wondered where Jackson was.
She decided to look for him. And since this castle was going to be her new home, she figured she may as well explore it anyway. She walked down the halls, making random turns in the labyrinth. She figured there had to be a method to find your way around here. Her hands glided across the jeweled walls. The topaz and aquamarine glimmering in the candle light.
She passed by an opening in the hall that looked familiar to her. She then remembered it was where the souls of her fallen sisters were. She bit down on her lip and looked over her shoulder.
Still, no one was around.
Jackson wouldn’t be upset with her for paying her respects, right?
Atabey wandered down the hall and approached the solid rocks. She placed her hands on each one until she found the right one to open up the room, where her sisters were.
The spirits turned to face her. The sadness in their eyes were evident.
“Hello, my sisters. I hope you can understand me. I am sorry about what happened to you. I, too, thought Aaerie was a benevolent goddess, but to hear that she took your souls and then condemned you to The Underworld, is so heartbreaking. But I want you to know that I won’t be going back to ascend. I’ll be here with Jackson and with you. Maybe one day, I can understand you and then we can talk more and I can learn from you.”
One of the spirits approached Atabey and held out her hand. She placed it onto Atabey’s cheek. Atabey was surprised she could feel it but welcomed the gentle touch.
I can understand you.
Atabey’s eyes widened.
“That’s great. Maybe I can understand you now because I devoted myself to Jackson and my tattoos are red now”
The spirit stepped away from Atabey, horror in her eyes.
You what?!
The other spirits surrounded her now. Looks of sadness, anger, and horror on their faces.
“What is it? What’s wrong?” Atabey was confused. If Aaerie was the one to wrong them, why were they upset about Jackson.
You devoted yourself to that monster. You couldn’t understand us because he was changing our language. We were trying to warn you sister. Another spirit spoke up.
“Monster?I don’t understand. Jackson told me that Aaerie was the one who stole your souls and sent you down here.”
No, sister. Jackson stole us from Aaerie. He has been stealing Chosen Daughters for millennia. And when you don’t devote yourself to him, he traps your soul here forever. Sister, you have cursed yourself.
Atabey’s head began to hurt. Cursed herself? No. She couldn’t have. Jackson wouldn’t do that. He said that he loved her.
“No, that cannot be true. Jackson loves me.”
Jackson loves no one.
“Sweetheart?”
Atabey looked over her shoulder.
She swallowed hard as Jackson approached, a dark cloud seemed to settle over his features, his brows furrowed in frustration and anger.
"Atabey, what are you doing?" Jackson's voice was sharp with anger, his eyes flashed with intensity as he confronted her. "I warned you about the dangers of meddling with the spirits. Do you not realize the peril you place yourself in?"
“They just told me that you stole them from Aaerie and trapped their souls down here because they wouldn’t devote themselves to you. And that when I devoted myself to you, I cursed myself. Tell me that’s not true. Please, tell me it’s not true”
“Sweetheart, they are lying to you. I would never-”
Lies, Ka-Yee! You have stolen another Chosen Daughter. You have cursed her soul for eternity. You are ev-
The spirit’s words were cut off by a gulf of flames consuming her. Her screams echoed in the room. One by one, the souls of her sisters caught alight. Their pain chilling Atabey to the bone.
Jackson's eyes blazed with fury, his features contorted into a mask of rage. His jaw clenched tightly, muscles tensing beneath the surface of his skin as his brows furrowed in a deep scowl. The lines of his face, usually smooth and composed, now twisted into a snarl of anger, every line etched with the intensity of his emotions.
His lips, usually soft and inviting, were now pressed into a thin line, a stark contrast to the simmering fire in his eyes. A vein pulsed angrily at his temple, throbbing with the force of his rage as he struggled to contain the storm brewing within him.
His nostrils flared with each sharp intake of breath, the sound a low growl of frustration escaping his lips.
Atabey had not seen him this way since she was first brought here.
He looked over to Atabey, flames in his eyes. He quickly approached her but she moved away from him, him only catching her robe-tearing it from her body. Atabey ran into the stone maze of the hallways. She didn’t know where she was going but she knew she had to get away. Maybe she could find the door to the Red Desert and escape. That sandy hell would be better than staying here with Jackson.
Atabey was thrown off balance by the ground in front of her opening. She fell to the floor, scooting back as far as she could from the pit in front of her. Flames erupted from the ground as Jackson pulled himself through the pit.
As Atabey's gaze met Jackson's, she was suddenly overcome by a wave of terror that threatened to paralyze her. His eyes, once warm and inviting, now seemed to glint with a malevolent gleam, cold and empty as they bore into her with an intensity that sent shivers down her spine.
His features, usually handsome and alluring, were twisted into a grotesque mask of menace, every line etched with a predatory hunger that made her blood run cold. His lips, usually soft and inviting, were now pulled back into a snarl, revealing the glint of sharpened teeth that seemed to glisten in the dim light.
A dark shadow seemed to hang over him, casting his face into deep relief and accentuating the menacing aura that surrounded him. His nostrils flared with each ragged breath, the sound a low, guttural growl that echoed ominously in the air.
But it was his expression that truly terrified her—a look of pure, unadulterated malice that seemed to pierce through her very soul, stripped away the facade of safety and left her feeling exposed and vulnerable in its wake.
As Jackson's hand closed around Atabey's ankle, she was suddenly overwhelmed by a searing sensation that felt like flames licking at her skin. The touch, once filled with warmth and tenderness, now sent waves of agony rippling through her body, every nerve ablaze with fiery torment.
It was as if his touch had transformed into something sinister and malevolent, a cruel mockery of the intimacy they had shared just hours before. Where once she had felt safe and protected in his embrace, now she was consumed by a burning pain that seemed to radiate from his touch like a scorching inferno.
Atabey gasped in shock as the heat seared through her flesh, her skin blistering beneath his grasp. The sensation was unlike anything she had ever experienced, a relentless onslaught of agony that left her feeling helpless and vulnerable in its wake.
But even as she cried out in pain, there was something else lurking beneath the surface—a sense of betrayal and betrayal that cut deeper than any physical wound. To feel such agony at the hands of the one she had trusted implicitly was a bitter pill to swallow, a harsh reminder of the darkness that lurked within even the most seemingly benign of beings.
And as Atabey writhed in agony, she couldn't help but wonder how she had been so blind to the true nature of him. In that moment, she realized that the warmth she had felt in his embrace had been nothing more than a cruel illusion—a fleeting glimpse of a happiness that was never meant to last.
“Jackson, please. Let me go. Please, please, please.”
Jackson's laughter echoed through the chamber, a chilling sound that sent shivers down Atabey's spine. It was a laugh devoid of warmth or mirth, a sinister melody that filled the air with a sense of foreboding and dread.
It was a laughter that spoke of dark intentions and hidden malice, a taunting reminder of the danger that lurked behind Jackson's enigmatic facade.
“My sweet Atabey, I told you that you are mine forever. I will never let you go.”

For your ask prompts: Kunzea with Wriothesley? :D
K - Kunzea (power): “C'mon, love, we both know who’s in charge here.”
cw: fem reader ("atta girl"), vague allusions to sexual assault, dub-con, yandere
Tumblr media
You're trembling, and you know he can see it.
He has the nerve to smile. He's looking at you like you're a kitten puffing up their tail before being put in a basket for the first time; the kind of smile one has for a poor little creature who's just too silly for its own good. Your grip on the blade tightens.
"Don't come any closer," you tell him, and your teeth chatter.
It had taken you weeks to be able to get a hold of anything that could do some real harm. Watching Wriothesley in his office after he'd called you in for some infraction or another (these infractions always end in punishment; in his hand against your bare rump, in your body bent in half over his desk, in his grip iron tight around your waist as he dances with you and the gramophone scratches through some old love song), memorising where he kept his things in the hope it would serve you in the future.
"Put the letter opener down," he says to you, his tone remaining almost genial, "and I'll pretend that you're not threatening the Administrator of the Fortress of Meropide."
"No," you reply, voice pitching too high, and you make a pathetic little thrust forward at the same time as you take a step back. There's nothing solid in between you - and in your attempt to get away from him and put some distance between his body and yours, you reach the wall, your shoulders bumping against the shelf of books set into the stone. One of them tumbles over your shoulder and you wince as it hits the ground and the fragile binding gives out, the weak glue separating cover from pages. "I-- I won't let you--!"
"That was expensive," he says, mildly. "Another six months onto your sentence for wilful destruction of property? You poor thing."
"I-- I'll serve my sentence," you say to him, and though you wish you sounded sure of yourself, your voice trembles like the needle on his gramophone. "But I won't let you--"
"Won't let me what, sweetheart?" He asks, taking a slow step towards you. The sound of his heavy boot sole hitting solid ground almost sets you into fight or flight - the sound of his handcuffs rattling and his chains clinking makes your stomach twist. "Won't let me take care of you? Won't let me love you?"
"You don't love me," you say to him. He's getting too close to you. You can smell the scent he wears on the air; something like sandalwood and freshly brewed tea. "You just-- you're just a monster--!"
His face twitches. He takes four or five quicker steps, and suddenly his hand is fastened bone-crush tight around your wrist - the one holding his engraved silver letter opener. You cry out, his fingers rough against the sensitive skin - handcuffs in their own right.
"You don't think I love you?" He growls, so low he sounds like a wolf. "You think you'd survive a minute out there without my protection? You think that the inmates aren't just raring to get their teeth into your pretty soft skin and show you what it's supposed to be like for new blood here?"
"You're . . . the things you do to me--" Your voice is clogged with tears.
"Maybe I should let them have you," he snarls. "You'd come fucking crying to me begging for a spanking instead if I let some of the criminals in here lay their hands on you. Could even get your cell reassigned; somewhere close to the tunnels so they have somewhere to take you none of the guards will hear you scream."
Your courage is running out, sand dripping through an hourglass. Your grip on the letter opener is faltering. You think about the side-eye glances you get in the cafeteria sometimes, the whispers that stop when you come near.
You'd always assumed it was because he had singled you out like this. Oh, it's not public knowledge - but there's something easy to work out about a prisoner called to the Duke's office who often leaves it lips-swollen and limping a little.
You had never thought it might be because Wriothesley's favour protects you.
You wouldn't need his protection, if he hadn't started this in the first place.
"Well?" He probes. "Do you want that? Do you want me to stop loving you? I can, if that's what you want. I could stop loving you and watch you get torn to fucking pieces."
Your body is wracked with shivers. The air in his office suddenly feels close and heavy; you are reminded, more than ever, that you are in a prison at the bottom of the sea.
You shake your head mutely, your eyes flashing to the hard-won silver prize in your grip.
He eases up, just a touch.
"C'mon," he says, smiling again. "Put it down. We both know who's in charge here, sweetheart, and it's not the one trembling like an otter with its paw caught in a mekafish corpse."
His fingers loosen up on your wrist and he presents his gloved hand to you, palm up. Those eyes fasten on you with rigid intensity, and you know he is waiting for your decision.
The wolf, or the villagers who are ready to form a mob for you at any moment?
You place the letter opener in his hand.
"Atta girl."
At least the wolf is a monster you know.

I crack his skull open, and there I am,my face engraved on his brain, staring back at me. The familiarity is haunting. I reach for the fractured pieces of him, trying to rinse away my reflection, scrubbing until my fingers are raw. But the stain is adamant. No matter how hard I try, I cannot erase myself from him.
I mash what remains, feeling the soft, fragile tissue turn to pulp beneath my hands. These are the pieces of a future I've shredded. My fingers tremble, and a memory flickers a time he was whole, laughter in his eyes, his hand brushing against mine with warmth. The echo of it stabs through my chest.
I stare at the mess I’ve created, the blood smeared across the floor like paint splatters in a sick art piece, and a gush of disgust washes over me. I’m drenched in his blood, his life force clinging to my skin. The metallic tang floods my senses, stinging my nose, coating my throat until I taste it on my tongue. The smell is overwhelming, suffocating. My tears mix with the river of blood, trickling down in thin, salty streams.
I kneel down, forcing my cold, red hands to reach out, to caress his face. My hand hovers inches from his cheek, but I can’t bring myself to close the gap. I want to weep, to scream, to purge this horror from my soul but my voice is frozen, paralyzed in the back of my throat, trapped as if by chains.
"He was weak." The voice slithers through my mind, dark and scornful, dripping with satisfaction. "We did him a mercy." It's her the other one. She has no regret, no disgust, only pride, as if she’s surveying a masterpiece. The feeling of her satisfaction coils in my chest, foreign yet familiar, a vile pleasure that makes me shudder.
“No,” I whisper, barely recognizing the voice as my own. I shake my head, willing her away. She’s gone now, I tell myself, trying to believe it, trying to feel the relief that never comes. I look around for something to cling to, something real. My eyes land on a delicate silver locket around my neck a gift from my mother. A symbol of who I am. Of who I was. But as I touch it, even this feels tainted, stained beyond redemption.
My knees give way, and I collapse onto the floor, pressing my forehead into the sticky mess, my hands digging into the splinters of his shattered skull. And in that moment, I realize that no matter how many times I scrub, no matter how hard I try to erase her, she will always be a part of me, lurking beneath the surface, waiting for her chance to take control.
I don’t know how long I stay there, lost in the horror of my own creation. My voice finally escapes me, a low, broken wail that echoes through the silence. But even as I scream, there’s a sliver of doubt lodged in my mind a cold, sinking realization.
Maybe… I don’t want her gone. Maybe… I need her.

❝You may defy as you think are owed to, but I know what is mine birthright. I am King Jacaerys' firstborn. I am his heir. Know that I have survived a war as a child, and I will not step back from another. not as a woman grown, and not most as your Queen.❞
Tumblr media
❈ Daenera was the firstborn child of the King Jacaerys and his Queen Consort. From an early age, her mother had made sure to educate her of all her current and future titles, rights, and duties as the preemptive Heir to the Iron Throne. ❈ It could be said that this contributed to how 'serene' the princess' personality was shaped. She understood noblesse oblige, and was told, time and again, that she must protect her birthright, and must treat her siblings like a sword; able to protect you when wielded correctly, but to also harm you once poisoned by an enemy.
"She was, as was sung, the best parts of the Queens before her. And most all, the best parts of the Sovereign Kings before her."
❈ Despite such a weighty upbringing, Daenera was said to be the epitome of a royal. She was polite, kind and obliging, but not one to be pushed about and manipulated. She spoke sincerely, rewarded allies, and punished when blood was due. She kept a small private counsel, pertaining her most closest advisors, a few of which, were her siblings. ❈ It is also said she oft found a steely resolve with her brother, Prince Gaemon, who was said to have called himself 'He Who Should Be King', and oft traded sharp and cloying barbs with him. One such sweet insult delivered by her brother had been her lack of a hatchling, for the princess' dragon egg did not hatch, nor two others presented to her before she fruitlessly made trips to Dragonmont. ❈ On the day of their mother's pyre, as she delivered the flames, the princess attempted to bond with Gaelithox (formerly known as The Cannibal), the Queen Consort's mount, but had been refused, suffering burns that lasted four moons. ❈ Instead, she bonded with her mount, Brightfyre, a moon after her mother's death. It is said that the dragon approached her while on her Tour. A pure white dragon with bloodred eyes, scales as if made of stone found in caverns. Sharp and Jagged. It is debated whether Brightfyre is indeed Dreamfyre's mount or Silverwing's. ❈ Daenera is said to have moon-spun silver hair and pale, watery blue eyes. She is said to have feminine features but lacked certain feminine charms (her lack of a voluptuous figure is said to have been the reason for her struggle with child-bearing, but several midwives have already laid false to this claim), but owned the sharp visage of the Warrior Queen, Visenya come alive. ❈ The Princess was said to prefer solid colours to her clothing of the usual House Targaryen style. She oft wore red, black, and white with intricate details, copying her grandmother and wearing her hair in braids. She was always found to be the picture of regality. She oft wore her mother's crowns in the daily, and her father's on important days.
"Thus called to witness that the King did not approve of the match, and had not spoken to his daughter for four moons, breaking her heart so. Yet the princess stood her ground. It is the only known conflict of the King and his Heir."
"Before the Queen passed, she had ensured her brother's loyalty to her daughter by many trials. Maestre Quitar speaks on good authority that it was not by trials, but by conversation that ran for three days. By the end, the Queen looked to be satisfied, and the prince worn and weary but victorious. They were betrothed in a day after."
❈ Her only bout of rebellion had been her marriage to her uncle, Prince Aemond Targaryen (soon whom followed the titles: King Consort and Protector of the Realm).
Tumblr media
❝Don't you understand? I am her true protector. She bears the weight of the crown and I bear her shadow. It has always been my duty as the secondborn, and I will not fail again.❞
Tumblr media
❈ As the secondborn child, Aemma had been set to be her sister's Spare and Shadow, but under her mother's tutelage, she had been tasked with a more powerful position: The Queen's Spider. Though her brother, the Prince Baelon is the Master of Whispers, Aemma controls the network that her mother started and that fulfilled the peaceful and prosperous reign of her father. ❈ Where Princess Daenera is serious and serene, Aemma had always been called a 'bright child'. She laughed loudly and expressed herself fully, oft was teasingly told to be the opposite of her namesake and named after, the Queen Aemma Arryn who upheld her duty with conducted manner. Though people oft remarked she was spoiled, as she is the Queen Rhaenyra's utmost favourite grandchild, and acted very freely, Aemma is Daenera's shield where Prince Aemond, the King Consort, had been called her sword.
"She pestered him until she couldn't pester him no more. But it is said that upon his wife's insistence, and his daughters' undeniable bond with the princess, it had softened him up enough that he acquiesce. They oft talked about dragons... and when the Rogue Prince passed, The Blood Wyrm took her as his rider." — Maestre Quitar.
❈ She was also said to be the closest to what was called 'The Blacks' side of the family, for her sweet and sunshine personality had won over even the Rogue Prince. It is said, she pestered the prince as a young child to take notice of her, as the Queen brought her almost everywhere. She was closest to her aunt, however, the Lady Baela Targaryen for after her death, Princess Aemma Velaryon was named Lady of Driftmark and Lady of the Tides in her absence of heir and despite the existence of the Lady Rhaena and her four children. ❈ She spent five years at Driftmark before she abruptly relinquished her position to the Lady Rhaena, after what is told to be called 'The Usurpation in the Shadows' had occurred. She remained in Kings Landing evermore, at her sister's side, as the Queen's Spider.
"Mother said that allies will stab you regardless, given enough reason. So why not treat everyone the same? It is also easier to dispatch eyes and ears in their houses when they freely open their doors. Windows are so stuffy."
❈ Though she oft paid mind to the sea, as her outreached as the Spider crossed vassals and neighbouring kingdoms (due, in turn, to her siblings' as well), she remained duly on her sister's side as her greatest counsel. It is also oft remarked that whilst the Queen remained a sovereign figure above all, the princess had made friends with allies and foes alike. ❈ After the death of the King Consort, the Princess is awarded the position of Lord Hand. ❈ Aemma was said to have golden white hair and the deepest violet eyes. It is said that she looked very much like her grandmother, the Queen Rhaenyra, thereafter the queen she was named after. ❈ The Princess wore cloth and threads of those from other cities, just like her mother in her younger years, oft found wearing Myrish lace and fashions more popular in Dorne and the Free Cities. Insignia of House Targaryen, Velaryon, andHightower are oft found in her visage, as well as a necklace her grandother, the Queen Dowager Alicent, had gifted her on her four and tenth nameday. ❈ The Princess married her brother, Prince Laenor Velaryon. ❈ Upon the death of her grandsire, Aemma bonded and rode Caraxes. It is oft talked that she enjoyed riding without a saddle.
Tumblr media
❝I follow where she goes. I am her soul and she is my heart. How can I ever part from her thereafter?❞
Tumblr media
❈ At the behest of the King, the thirdborn and first son of the couple had been named after Queen Rhaenyra's first husband and the King's father, the late Ser Laenor Velaryon. ❈ But unlike his twin brother for whom he looked very much alike to, their differences are stark; the Prince Laenor had been bigger in built from hours of training— a tourney favourite as well as practicing under various lords and swordmasters (a few to name, the Lord Borros Baratheon and Lord Cregan Stark) — and was knighted before his ten and fifth nameday. ❈ It is said that he is the King's favourite, as not only he was the firstborn son (a full thirty minutes before his twin was born), but that they enjoyed the same things, namely the art of sword, studying histories, and oft agreed on the same opinions of court and council. ❈ Laenor was said to have spoken scarcely, few of which had only been with people he cared about or respected. It became a wonder why he was betrothed to his sister, the bright Princess Aemma, under the guiding hand of their mother.
"It isn't that he hardly spoke, but he preferred to listen. He enjoyed the sound of his sister's voice, the tales his father spun. But oh, my sweet boy has the sweetest laugh if you come upon it! Whenever he laughs, the day gets as bright as noon day sun." — His Lady Mother, the Queen.
❈ The Queen oft called him her sweetest boy, and was oft seen in his mother's court as her Sworn Shield before his marriage to his Lady Wife. His first plate of armour had been a gift from her, made by the best blacksmithy in the Seven Kingdoms. ❈ Laenor is said to have his father's dark hair, strong, shapely jaw, and a knight's pure visage. It was with regard that Prince Laenor looked alike to his uncle, the Prince Lucerys.
"It is his legacy. I will not shame him."
❈ After the death of his aunt, the Lady Baela, Dark Sister was passed to his hands. When his Lady Wife and he came back to reside in Kings Landing, the Queen gave him control of the Gold Cloaks. Under his hand, with the same former owner as Dark Sister, he kept the streets— all the way to Flea Bottom, clean. ❈ Laenor's egg hatched in his cradle, an opalescent, cloudy blue scaled dragon named Kyrxos.
Tumblr media
❝I jest, sister, surely you know that? What horrid quim of a brother covets his sister's crown?❞
Tumblr media
❈ The second son and fourth born child of the couple took thirty minutes more of labour after his twin brother. According to the Queen and the maestres present, he had the loudest cry of all her children. ❈ Whilst his brother mirrored their father, it is said that the Prince Gaemon took to his mother's smarts and scheming, and took to his uncle, the Prince Aegon the Elder's indulgence of wine and pleasure. Even young, it was found that he enjoyed playing with his siblings' so, and oft made them quarrel until it is revealed that he played apart.
"One thing I will hate for you to do, nephew, is to break your mother's heart. She is our strength, but you, her children, are her weakness. Silence their noises all you like, but once your brother, Laenor, has told you halt. You halt." — His Uncle, Prince Aegon.
❈ The King and before him, his grandmother the Queen, oft scolded and found the prince's manner to be troubling and in poor taste. The King had taken a harder hand at the prince and he only seemed to bite back harder in retaliation. If there were people he listened to, it had been his mother, The Queen, his maternal grandmother, The Queen Dowager, and his triplet sisters. His uncle, the Prince Aegon, found his knave nature hilarious, but always cajoled him to watch his steps lest he upset his mother so. ❈ Gaemon was first 'hastily' married to Lyanna Tyrell, the youngest sister of Lord Lyonel Tyrell. He lived in Highgarden for a time, and his revelries at the Reach had became a widespread phonemena. During a feast he made in honour of his brother Laenor's engagement to their elder sister, Aemma, inviting all his siblings, and the then six moons reigning monarch, Queen Daenera, Prince Gaemon makes an odd comment that quiets the noisy feast. It is said that the Queen's dragon broke through the tiled roof in answer to what is said to be a 'poorly made jest' or 'an adamant declaration of war'. ❈ At the behest of his brother in a missive sent by his lady wife, Prince Gaemon travelled to Kings Landing to make amends with his sister. 'The Usurpation in the Shadows' is said to have begun. The Prince came back to the Reach, and a day after, Princess Consort Lyanna Tyrell died. In his grief, the prince said to have left in the night. Four moons after, the Red Keep is sent a missive that the Prince Gaemon had married a lady of a small house in Dorne. Three years later, another missive arrives in the Red Keep, pertaining the arrival of the prince back in the Reach, the death of his second wife, and his marriage to the Lord Tyrell's widowed mother, Lady Mara Tyrell.
"An absolute cur he may be, no one can deny that the Prince Gaemon is the prettiest of all the brothers. Say, even the princesses."
❈ It is said that though the twin princes were alike in their Velaryon liking, the Prince Gaemon has said to be of princely visage. He wore his hair wavy and lengthen to his nape, with long lashes and pouty, red lips. ❈ The prince is said to have favoured revealing clothing, lengthy and pure silk, reminiscent of cultures in Lys. When he was dubbed 'The Prince of Thorns', Gaemon is said to have enjoyed the title so much, he had jewellers make him thorns for necklaces, earrings, and a circlet. ❈ Prince Gaemon's egg hatched in his second name day, a pure violet scaled dragon, a wyrm with a long neck, and is said to have the night sky in its hard skin. ❈ The prince did not have trueborn children with any of his wives, but had fathered many a bastards.
Tumblr media
❝Thread spinner... what a quaint title.❞
Tumblr media
❈ Baelon is the first son of the King and Queen to have pure Valyrian colouring. So pure in fact, that it is said he is the most otherwordly of all the children. ❈ And though it is oft spoken that that both the princes, Laenor and Baelon, were quiet, Baelon held a more eerie character than his older brother. Rumours spoke that the prince had been an odd child, a quiet, white shadow who followed his siblings.
"He was like a breathing, living ghost. He stared at you, unblinking with his odd, snake-like eyes and pale lashes and snow-white skin. Once, a kitchen wench had found him in the Hour of Bat at the kitchens, eating uncooked meat."— Maestre Glysell.
❈ Despite odd and frightful rumours about the prince, Baelon was said to care less of the talk of others, once having stared at the Lord Lannister from an uncouth jest until the lord had gone uncomfortable and moved away. Even as his mother answered in fury at each new wagged tongue, going as far as banishing people from King's Landing. The ladies, Lady Maris Baratheon and Lady Anne Follard, among those she barred from the capital for six moons and a day. ❈ Despite the court's unease with him, the royal siblings adore their brother. Spoken of ease as a darling conversationalist, a clean swordsman, and had wonderful taste in fabrics and gifts. ❈ Words made in his defense spoke of the fact that the prince had been born alone. While the twin princes were made and were born to life together, the princesses were born months after another, as if chasing through life to be together. The Prince had no one, for the next children of his parents had been the triplet sisters. Then the two boys, though not twins were still thick as thieves. This is said to be the reason why he also indulged their youngest sibling, the Princess Daella, having born alone. ❈ Still, he continued to shadow his siblings, with his favourite to follow being his sister Daenera, his uncle, the Prince Aemond, his mother, and his grandmothers, Queen Rhaenyra and Queen Dowager Alicent. ❈ His quiet and inquisitive nature proved to be a boon, as well as his deep loyalty to his sister and her ascension, that Queen Daenera made him Master of Whispers.
"He was never far behind, her white shadow. The awful wagging tongues of court could say a lot about the relationship of the Queen and her Master of Whispers, but no one can deny the true loyalty of the prince to his queen.. and yes, even in the face of his marriage." —Maestre Kevan.
❈ It is rumoured that the only mistake the Queen Consort ever made was agreeing to the betrothal of the prince to his sister, Princess Helene. King Jacaerys had grown 'at odds' with Prince Baelon's 'skirt clinging' to the older women in his family, and had betrothed Baelon to his younger sister. ❈ The prince is said to look alike the most to his uncle, Prince Aemond, with a hard, elongated bone structure and wore his silver-moon hair long, past his lower back but is said to have his father's deep-set eyes, the colour a faint violet akin more to a snake's. He followed his oldest sister's choice in fashion with solid colours of black, red and green in leathers and intricately detailed. ❈ Just like his mother, a visit to Dragonstone proved fruitful for the prince on his tenthand one day as he bonded with the wild dragon, Sheepstealer.

How it was made behind the "read more" thing!👇
----------------1.References-----------------
Tumblr media
As reference I used this pages from a Sonic IDW comic recopilation I have, and my experience drawing the character (search Hopeless future comic chapter 1 and 2 for example). Silver is specially hard to animate not only because of his hair shape, but because of the lack of public oficial reefsheets he have. This is probably due to the fact that he NEVER has apeared on a TV show or media. Like for example "Sonic X".
----------------2.Rought pass---------------
Tumblr media
The most important part of any 2D animation: start very VERY simple so you don't die trying to animating. (But first the storyboard. This animation was planed since a lot of time and that's why it doesn't apear here but I also made a storyboard for the ocasion. It is lost on some sketchbook so that's why is not apearing on this Making of 😅
The "K" on some frames are for mark the Keyposes, the rest are inbetweens. Is the first time on decades that I use the timing charm too. As you can see, the character movements are slowest when the animation is finishing, as the timing charm is marking.
-------------3.Rought animation------------
Tumblr media
Once the Rought pass was done, I used it as a base for create a more detailed sketch. Here you can already recognice the character
------------------4.Cleanup------------------
Tumblr media
This was the most tedious and time-consuming part of this animation (And I think it is on all the 2D animations). Because cleanup is not about creating, it is about refining what already exists, taking care that the original message remains intact and at the same time is clear and better understood than the sketch. My back still hurts.
I made the the breakdown frame to stay more time too. This wasn't the final cleanup, just the version after aplying some corrections.
---------------5.Final render-----------------
Tumblr media
The background + the efects + the colors and such. This is the animation over the "read more" thing. The background here and the efects was completely improvised using the features that Opentoonz provided.
--------------------Extra--------------------
-This animation took only 5 hours to be made and it was started and finished literaly today 10/August/2024
-The intention on this animation was to show how Silver take out his ears for listen things due that in some versions of him, you can't see his ears normaly.
-Everything was animated on the program "Opentoonz". An open source program that was used by Studio Gilbi.
-I also discovered that there's a way to make an anime filter there but I never tried it.

Our First Christmas
(Jensen Ackles x you)
No warnings just pure fluff 🥰❤️
Tumblr media
It was a cold winter evening, and the snow fell gently outside the window, creating a peaceful and serene atmosphere. The room was adorned with festive decorations, and the sweet aroma of freshly baked cookies filled the air. You and Jensen sat side by side on the couch, your hearts brimming with excitement as you celebrated your first Christmas together.
Ever since you had met on the set of a Big Sky, your love had blossomed like a beautiful winter rose. Jensen, with his charming smile and mischievous eyes, had captured your heart from the moment you laid eyes on each other. And now, you were about to embark on a new chapter of your love story during your favorite time of the year.
Jensen had planned a surprise trip for you to a cozy cabin nestled deep within the snow-covered mountains. It was a place where you both could enjoy the tranquility of nature and bask in the magic of the season. As they arrived at their destination, your eyes sparkled with glee as you took in the breathtaking scenery.
The cabin was adorned with twinkling lights and festive decorations. A crackling fire warmed the room, creating a cozy ambiance. Jensen had thought of every little detail to make your first Christmas together unforgettable.
Tumblr media
You both spent the days leading up to Christmas exploring the winter wonderland that surrounded you. You built snowmen, had thrilling snowball fights, and made memories that would last a lifetime. Every evening, you would return to the cabin, rosy-cheeked and full of laughter, to cozy up in front of the fire.
On Christmas Eve, Jensen surprised Y/N with a beautifully wrapped box. Inside was a delicate silver locket, engraved with yours and his initials. Your eyes filled with tears of joy as you held the precious gift close to your heart. It was a symbol of your love, a reminder that your connection was something special.
As you both sat by the fire, sipping hot cocoa and exchanging heartfelt gifts, You couldn't help but feel overwhelmed with gratitude. You had found your soulmate in Jensen, someone who made you laugh, who understood your deepest fears and aspirations, and who was always there to support you.
You and Jensen stayed up late into the night, talking about your dreams and plans for the future. You both made promises to always celebrate Christmas together, regardless of where life might take you both. It was a night filled with love, laughter, and hope.
And as the clock struck midnight, snowflakes dancing outside the window, Jensen pulled you into his arms. You shared your first Christmas kiss, sealing your love beneath the mistletoe. It was a moment that would forever be etched in both your hearts, a declaration of their commitment to one another.
Tumblr media
Your first Christmas together was an enchanting and magical experience, a blend of love, laughter, and the beauty of the season. It set the stage for many more joyous holidays to come, creating a tradition that would bring you both closer with each passing year.
And as you held each other tight, the snow softly falling outside, you and Jensen knew that their love was a gift that would continue to grow and flourish, not just during the holiday season, but throughout every season of their lives.

Tumblr media
12 years later
You were certain that you had given birth to the most handsome young men in all of Westeros. Rickon was handsome, like his father, rough on his features but in a classic way, but Jonaerys? He was beautiful.
His silver curly hair, his sharp eyes with the color of ice, his beauty was ethereal
Your youngest children still had their child features, it was too soon to tell, but to you, they were all beautiful, the most gorgeous children Westeros had ever seen, but perhaps you were being biased
That is what occupied your thoughts in your long journey South
You had left your home two weeks ago, and you were too soon, if not by the end of the day, to reach Harrenhal. You had been invited to the Red Keep, it was unclear why, but you had heard tourneys and celebrations were being held, not clear as to the reason, perhaps you, to celebrate you all being in the capital. Perhaps we all need a good reason to celebrate besides marriages, births, and name days
You had decided to take all your children with you, leaving Sara, and her three kids in Winterfell, because there was always must be a Stark in the capital of the North
You saw your children riding their horses in front of you, Cregan and you in the back, he had said that is the position the alfa wolves held, in the back, protecting his pack from this perspective, the thought made you giggle.
Soon it was time to set up camp, when you rived, the squires and soldiers had already set the tents and a big bonfire for your entire household.
You descended from your horse, as did your children.
Rickon was stuck to his father’s side, who was trying to teach him everything he could, you knew it was a concern of Cregan, he was getting “old”, not to you of course, but, he was growing concerned that his eldest son wasn’t ready in case something horrible befall him.
“When we get back Cregan, you are going to marry Jayne Manderly”, said his father, Rickon only nodded
“I had been betrothed to Jayne Manderly since we were in our mother’s wombs”, he laughed, Cregan smiled, placing a hand on his shoulder, and then one in Jonaerys who approached him.
“You were”, he said proudly, “and you…”, he chuckled, looking at his second oldest son, “maybe we can arrange something for you in King’s Landing, uh?”, he blushed but nodded
“Yes father”, he said energetically. He wanted to make his father proud, but really… still with the doubts clouding his mind
Cregan looked at Jonaerys, trying to read his mind, but it was hard, he had notice that the last couple of months, his silver haired son had been distant, specially with him, he sometimes found him following you around like a puppy, it was unusual as he always was with Rickon, training, hunting, sneaking off to Winter’s Town… He talked to you about it and you did answer him that you did think something was different in him, like he became overprotective over you, but you guessed it was because of the coming trip.
Cregan smiled as he saw Torrhen signaling to Rhaenys what they were talking about, his big brother’s coming wedding
“You are never getting married are you? you are never leaving your old man”, Cregan signaled to Rhaenys, the girl only giggled, “my little girl, you are going to take care of your old father until I’m gone?”, she shook her head without stopping smiling, and Cregan feigned being really hurt, placing a hand over his chest
“I want to get married”, the twelve year old girl signaled, and that did break Cregan heart just a little bit, no poor bastard is ever going to be good enough for his little girls.
“Robyn!”, he called, her little girl who was your spitting image, but with his coloring came running towards him
“I’ll take care of you papa!”, she giggled
“That’s my girl”, he knew the real reason she said that is because she didn’t want to get married at all, she was very vocal about that, she was his little spitfire
The sun soon fell over the camp, and once you were installed in your tents, you gathered around the bonfire to eat what the hunting party had brought
Were you concerned about the trip to the Red Keep? Yes, you know better than anyone how terrible it could be, how mean the people were, but you needed to think that now it was different, different times, different monarchs.
And your children were… different from who you were, you needed to believe they were going to be fine.
And at night you cuddled with your husband in your tent, playing with the silver hairs in his beard, he was getting snow up there if you knew what that meant
He believed he was getting old, but to you he was only more and more handsome
“Mmmm”, he purred under your touch, “really, needy one?”, he chuckled
“I’m the needy one?”, you teased
“Oh I know how you get on trips”, you laughed
“me!?”, you laughed
“Oh yeah, Rickon was made in dragonstone, Torrhen when we went to White Harbor… Orys on that trip to Bear Island, the girls on Castle Black… when we went to try to fly over the wall…”, you giggled
“Well, there is this thing to trips…”, he chuckled
“That our children cannot sneak into our bed”, you giggled
You kissed, deeply.
There was something about trips that turned you on…
The very next day, you rose early, you were close to King’s landing and you wanted to arrive already. You were proud of how well your children were fairing, you brought a carriage just in case, but they preferred to ride their horses alongside you.
You braided Rhaenys’ hair, and with Robyn too, by your side. You kissed the side of her head lovingly, you loved your girls
“I can’t wait to get to the big castle”, signaled Rhaenys, and Robyn only cheered her on, you only smiled, “are they more dragons?”, you nodded
“There is Syrax, the Queen’s dragon, there is Vermax, prince Jacaerys dragon there is Caraxes, the King consort Dragon”
As on que, your dragons flied over your heads
Rickon’s dragon never hatched, but Jonaerys’, Rhaenys’, Robyn, Torrhen… they did. Cregan grew scared, five dragons growing in the North
And all your children became Dragonriders
Rhaenys’ especially at Cregan’s horror, since he believed she wasn’t going to be able to control ehr beast, but she did, better than all of them, she had a secret language, palming her dragon’s spine with certain gestures.
Her dragon was beautiful, silvery light blue with dark blue markings, slim body and long neck, she was the fastest one.
Not like Karnax, Jonaerys’ dragon that took after Vhaelar, only with dark black markings, Robyn’s dragon was deep purple, they shone greenish under the sunlight, and Torrhen’s was of a beautiful copper color
Soon the march began again, and by midday, the burnt towers of Harrenhal appeared in your eyesight, you tried no to look too much, painful memories came flooding back, and Cregan reached for you over the space between your horses.
“Are you alright?”, he whispered, you only nodded
“Let’s have some food and then let’s keep going”, you whispered. Since the war the castle had been empty, since the fall of house Strong, so you really didn’t have the need to pass inside it to pay your respects, only warn ahead of the arrival of a large northerner commitive.
So you tried to distract yourself from such gloomy sights.
But your son… noticed everything, noticed your face, what Cregan said to you… and that only made him approach his father, with the castle on their sight
“Who is my real father?”, he asked hastily, like he was going to lose the bravery to ask. That did take Cregan by surprise, he knew something was different about his son, but he never, ever, expected it to be this.
“I am”, he said, but the seriousness in his eyes revealed to your son that he knew what he spoke of
“Yes, of course you are, I mean…”, his voice trembled and he struggled to meet his eyes, he closed his gray ones, “I mean that… we were studying the civil war of the Targaryens”, he explained, “and how Aemond Targaryen took my mom”, he whined, “took her south and when you both returned, you came back with me”, he whispered, looking at the feet of the man that raised him and loved him, the man that he respected and loved
“My boy…”
“Mom suffered in his hands, did she not?”, he asked, finally looking up at him, “I am not deaf”, he said sadly, “I know what they whisper behind closed doors, I know what Aemond Targaryen did to my mom”
“She did”, he said truthfully, “but that doesn’t mean anything, we, her family, erased everything he did to her, we made sure of it, we healed her with our love, her children… are everything to her”
“I know, but…”, he took a second to think about what he was about to say, “I know you are my father, the man that cares for me and loves me, but, I wonder if the man that sired me… was Aemond Targaryen?”, he rephrased his question, looking into his father’s eyes
“No”, he said truthfully
“Father…”
“Your mother was already pregnant when I left to fight the war”, he said gently, “you have my eyes…”
“But what if…”, Cregan shushed him gently, cradling his face with his hands and looking into his eyes
“I see myself in you every day and every time I look into your eyes I see your mother, you take after her”, he said gently, “we might never know who sired you but you are our son, my son, my second born male heir”, he said firmly, “you are a northerner, a wolf of Winterfell”
“I’m glad you are my father”, he said with shiny eyes and a choked voice
“And I’m glad you are MY son”, Cregan held his son against his chest, caressing his silvery locks, “and besides, I claimed you the minute you were born”, he felt his son choke in a laugh, “you are mine, I fought for you, and if he wants you he will need to crawl back from hell and kill me”, Jonaerys laughed, hugging his father tightly, and he kissed him in the top of your head, “you are mine, there is no doubt in my mind”
“Thank you”
You looked from afar with tears of happiness in your eyes, you did not hear everything, but you were happy they were this close.
The rest of the journey went in without a hitch, Rhaenys was drawing everything she saw, when you stopped to rest, Robyn was sneaking out of the camp to go hunting with Rickon, Jonaerys and the rest of the men, Torrhen also scribbled in his leather notebook, and Orys, well, he was often a thoughtful boy, always wondering, looking around, lost in his thoughts, he collected rocks, branches of trees he had never seen before, and also leaves…making you smile.
And soon you could hear your children's gasps and cheers, as Rhaenys applauded, you could see King’s Landing, in all its glory, and the two greatest buildings that stood up from everything else, the Dragonpit and the Red Keep
“It’s incredible!”, cheered Rickon
“Wow”
“Look at the size of the Dragonpit”, of course you had tell them stories about the historic buildings, but there are no words to describe them in all their glory
A comitive of royal soldiers were expecting you, dressing all in black and red, and a sense of familiarity invaded you. The late Queen Alicent had taken everything she could get her hands on, and for some time, everything you saw was green, and a seven pointed star, now everywhere you saw, there were statues of dragons, the Targaryen heraldry, and the colors red, black and gold also.
You soon rode through the streets, soldiers interrupting everyone’s day to let you trough
When you entered through the huge gates of the outer wall of the Red Keep, you saw a comitive waiting for you, you recognized Rhaenyra herself, and Daemon, Jacaerys and Baela by his side, and young people, everyone was there, Young Aegon and Viserys, other young men with olive skin and silver hair, right next to Jacaerys, you guessed it was his son. A young woman, you guessed it, was princess Visenya. Lord Corlys was also present in the meeting.
*See bottom of the page for the ages of everyone in this chapter*
“Here comes Cregan of House Stark, Lord of Winterfell and Warden of the North and his lady Wife, princess (y/n) Targaryen, and their children, the lords and ladies of the North, Rickon Stark, your son bowed as you taught him, “Jonaerys”, your other son followed, “Torrhen, Orys, and the ladies Rhaenys and Robyn”, and your girls bowed diligently
“My niece”, certainly bored with all of this, Daemon approached you and hugged you tightly
And since the courtesy was over, you greeted your family like that is all they were, your family, you hugged your cousin the Queen lovingly
“I’m so glad you are here”, she whispered
“I’m happy to see you all again”, you said back
“let me look at you boy, how big you’ve gotten”, Daemon said, looking at Jonaerys, who had grown to be the imagine of your father
Corlys looked from afar with a smile on his lips, as he looked at the girl who was named in honor of his wife. Everyone in the Keep and in the family knew of her hearing problems. Nobody really cared, she was a beautiful, healthy young girl, he had also learn her sign language to be able to communicate with her, just as other members of her family, she had a fire like his dear Rhenys have had, and she was a dragon rider, he had cared for the girl from afar.
She caught him staring and smiled brightly at him, she walked towards him and signaled a hello
“Hello little one”, he signaled back and Rhaenys was amazed that he knew how to.
Jonaerys went to greet Visenya, who smiled at him
“So… you are the Valyrian Stark”, she said, and he blushed
“I didn’t know I was called that”, he chuckled, nervous
“You are sort of famous”, she giggled
“I have done nothing to deserve such a thing”, he said nervously
“Let's see”
Rickon approach the prince of Dragonstone after his father Jacaerys
“Rickon”, he introduced, offering his hand, and he struck it back
“Baelor”, he answered with a shy smile.
As it was the custom, a feast was being held, in honor of the guests.
The real reason behind the journey is that it was a plot between Daemon, Cregan, Rhaenyra and you, to let your children get to know each other, and also, because you wanted your children to be in touch with their targaryen ancestry, and maybe, just maybe, search for proposals for marriage for them.
You saw with a smile as your older children were getting along with Baelor as you chatted with Jace by your side, telling you how his brother Joffrey was in Driftmark and couldn’t make the journey, as he was acting Lord of the Tides, how he had three children with a Velaryon.
Then Rhaenya made a announcement, that in the celebrations of her name day, a week from now, this entire ten days were going to be filled with tourneys, parties, feasts, and people from all over the Kingdoms, and specially the great houses, were coming to the capital, to celebrate harvest and abundance the Kingdoms were enjoying.
A celebration of hope, friendship and especially peace, and you were here for it. Also to celebrate the name days of your twins, who might as well fly under the perception of the rest, but you still were happy to celebrate it with your entire family.
Your children seemed happy about it, and couldn’t wait to meet new people
Rickon was talking about how he could participate in the tourney, but you and Cregan had blatantly forbidden it, for Jonaerys as well.
You were happy to be back, you no longer held bad memories about this place, everything felt brand new, and now because of the decor, but, everything felt different, all of it, the castle and the people within it.
this was a new beginning for your family.
The coming days were filled with excitement and preparations, people were arriving. You had the honor to be housed in Maegor’s Holdfast, you needed four rooms for only your family, Rickon and JOnaerys were going to be roomates, as well as Orys with Torrhen, and the twins, down the hall from your’s and Cregan’s rooms
Everything around the castle had changed, and once you settled it was hard to find your children, who were always discovering new places, it took them three days to even get to know the main places within the Keep itself, they were like small children, scouting all day
But as the girls went to the huge gardens, promising they will not part ways from one another, the boys went deeper within the castle.
And by accident, they ended up in the dungeons
Jonaerys wanted to play the valiant one, and separated from Rickon, and soon he was lost.
This floor of the cells didn’t have guards, but torches were lit up all over, it wasn’t difficult to see, but the awful smell made his head spin.
He wanted to turn back, but something prevented him, maybe sick curiosity, he would say he heard his name being called from inside one of the cells.
It was closed, but it seemed it was empty, he couldn’t see anyone inside, so he lean in curiously, grabbing one of the bars with his hands.
A boney hand grabbed it, making him gasp in surprise
“My son”, he heard, and Jonaerys screamed, taking a step back, releasing himself from that ghostly grasp, “I knew you’d come”, he whispered, and jOnaerys could see with horror a lean figure, with white hair and a purple eye, and another sapphire, but he was probably making it all up.
He ran, calling for his mother and father, he magically find the way out until he ran and crashed into Rickon, making the two of them fall in the middle of the main floor
“For the gods Jona”, moaned RIckon, rubbing his ass, “what is going on?”, but his brother was on the brink of tears, “what happened?”, but he shook his head
“Nothing, really”, he whined, “it’s just, the people down there, it was awful”, Rickon only nodded
“Are you alright?”, Jonaerys nodded
‘Yes, just… we can never go down there again”
“Deal”
Both stood up, Rickon grabbed his brother’s arm
“Remember the lessons about Aemond Targaryen?”, he asked, and Rickon nodded, he had replaced his missing eye with a sapphire, didn’t he?”
“Yeah”, Jonanerys looked back at the stairs leading to the cells, and shook his head, he could never go down there again.

K&J x MMSS 4: Valen & Jim Part 10
Part ten of the fourth crossover with @whumpsday!
Once again an XL chapter because I couldn't find a good place for a chapter break.

Warnings: Aftermath of torture
In this chapter: Jim comes face to face with his greatest fear from the past, but this time he has Valen to help take care of things.
***
Kane is back.  Kane finally came for him.
Valen assured Jim over and over again that that wasn’t the case, that the call they’d gotten from the hunters meant explicitly that Kane couldn’t come after Jim, because he was trapped in a vampire hunter’s den.
That didn’t ease the nervousness of knowing Kane was here.  On this side of the border.  It’s been almost a decade since Jim had last seen him, but all the old fear flares to life again.  Suddenly, he’s that crying mess curled up on the floor of a closet again, hiding under Valen’s clothes.
The hunters have Kane, and they’re offering to give him to Jim.  So he can finally have closure.
He must have gotten caught trying to take another human.  Valen shudderes to think of how angry he must be.  He’s bracing himself to have to physically fight Kane off if he has to, like he had when Kane had punched a hole in the wall of his apartment building.
Jim plans to talk to Kane, then kill him.  Valen isn’t thrilled with the idea.  But Jim had earned that, surely, if that’s what would finally make him at peace and able to move on with his life.
Besides, the alternative is releasing him, which would be downright irresponsible.  Valen has to think about the safety of Kane’s future victims.  And of Jim himself.
Jim says he wants to go alone, to face Kane alone.  Which is unfathomable to Valen.  He presses Jim to change his mind, and Jim buckles.  The comfort and safety of having Valen nearby far outweigh whatever ideals he holds about being self-sufficient.
That does present an entirely different safety issue though: having Valen around vampire hunters.  Valen himself is nervous for the encounter, after his bad experiences with hunters in the past.  Jim calls the hunters again and again just to make super-duper extra sure they know Valen is coming and allowed to be there.
Jim doesn’t think he can protect Valen the way Valen can protect him, and that’s eating him up inside just as much as the fear of Kane is.
So the compromise they settle on is Valen comes, but stays in the car.
***
Jim's been completely and utterly ridden with anxiety all day. He's barely eaten, he thumbs at the fabric over his neck more than usual, his hands are white-knuckled on the steering wheel. He's hardly left Valen's side since he found out Kane was in human territory. As nervous as he is for Valen to come with him, he's also glad he's here.
The stake burns in his pocket.
He pulls up, heart beating fast. "Remember, you promised you'd stay in the car. Don't want anything to happen to you."
"All right," Valen says.  "I will.  I'll stay in the car.  But if you need me, come right back out and get me, okay?  I can't let anything happen to you.  You know how violent Kane is.  Although I'm sure they have him restrained somehow."
"Mm-hm." To minimize the chance of Valen encountering a hunter outside the ones in Liz's circle, he's requested they not even come out to meet him. Jim heads inside alone.
He comes out a few minutes later with a hunter and a wretched-looking vampire, unmistakably Kane de Sang, though he looks very different from the furious man who yelled at Valen on his doorstep 10 years ago. He's emaciated, nearly naked, eyes wide with terror and filled with tears, and wearing a bare silver muzzle and cuffs, which burn the skin under them.
"I can handle it. Just take the stuff off him." Jim says.
"You sure? You didn't bring any other restraints."
"Valen's in the car, he's a vampire, he'll protect me. Just take that shit off of him. Please." Jim insists.
The hunter looks over to the car warily.
"He saved me. You s-said he could come." Jim reminds him shakily.
Valen rolls down the window slightly, not sticking one body part out of the car, obeying his instructions to stay in the car.  "Is everything all right, Jim?"
Jim shakes his head no. "Stay in the car."
"Fine, yeah. You're the victim. Your call." the hunter relents, though he's clearly unhappy about it. He removes the silver from Kane, eliciting pained wails from the vampire and horrified wincing from Jim as the skin rips off along with the metal.
Valen does not stick his head out of the car.  He is staying in the car.  He does not get out of the car.  He very, very much wants to get out of the car.  "Jim, dear, are you sure everything is quite all right?"
"It's not. Stay in the car." Jim repeats. To the hunter, he says, "I've got him from here."
“Okay. Feel free to return it if it’s too much for you, though I don’t expect it to be too much trouble. It’s been years since it’s tried any shit.” The hunter says before going back inside.
Kane immediately falls to his knees and starts blubbering apologies and pleas for mercy, crying hysterically. His wrists are raw and bloody, his face horribly burnt, every part of him looks painful.
"Valen. You- you can come out now." Jim stammers.
Valen slowly opens the door and steps towards them cautiously.  "My-my god.  Jim...what did they do to him?"  They’ve clearly been doing more than holding him here.  He’s been tortured, by the looks of it.
"Valen!" Kane cries, looking up at him with pleading, tearful eyes. "Please, p-please, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, please help me. Please, I'm so sorry, please help me, please please please."
"I don't know." Jim tells Valen. His arm goes forward to Kane a little bit, but he chickens out and ends up taking a step back instead, unable to bring himself to comfort him that way. "I'm not gonna torture you. Just relax."
Kane doesn't believe Jim. But Valen is a vampire. Even if Valen hates him, he's the best chance at someone sympathetic Kane's ever had. "Please." he begs, still looking to Valen.
Valen looks at him hesitantly.  "What do you want to do now, Jim?"  He takes a step forward, not afraid the way Jim is.  "Is it okay with you if I...help him?"
"Yeah. Yeah, please." Jim is so glad he brought Valen with him. So so glad.
Kane's eyes flit between the two, trying to comprehend the situation. Valen stole and freed Jim. He knows that. Why are they still together? Valen is asking questions of Jim deferentially. But Valen can't be like Kane is, he has persuasion. He can defend himself from humans.
Valen crouches down and takes Kane's hand.  "Hey, it's all right.  I don't know what they did to you, but we're not going to hurt you just for fun, okay?  Can you stand up for me?  Come on, now."  He gets one hand under Kane's elbow and helps him stand up.  "Jim, what do you want to do?"  He is completely at a loss.  This isn't at all what he'd imagined.  Part of him hopes Jim doesn't want to kill him anymore, but at the same time, it seems like death might be a welcome mercy for him at this point.
Kane clings to Valen, trembling. It's clear that his fate is still in Jim's hands. He's still in danger. Valen isn't going to save him. The realization is crushing, and he sobs.
"I don't know." Jim wishes he could be the one clinging to Valen. He feels a pang of jealousy that he immediately dismisses as being ridiculous. "I don't think... I don't think I can kill him."
Kane's hold to Valen grows tighter, and he wails. "I'll be good, please, I'll b-be good! Please have mercy!"
"All right," Valen says soothingly, stroking Kane's hair.  "Let's talk for a minute.  What is it you're afraid of?  What do you think we're going to do?"
"Hurt- that it's going to- revenge. Revenge, r-right? Please just- just- I'm s-sorry. Please, I'm sorry. I'm sorry." Kane buries his face in Valen, shoulders quaking with sobs. Jim won't kill him. That means more pain.
"That's not what this is. I'm not gonna... just try to calm down." Jim says. To Valen, he adds, "We can't just let him go."
"Of course not."  Valen sighs.  "Kane, just take some deep breaths.  You're spiraling."
An order. It's strange, taking orders from another vampire. One Kane knew, even if only a little. But it's obvious that Valen has authority over him now, second only to Jim. He takes some deep breaths, though it barely helps him calm down. He at least feels by this point that it's definitely going to be better than with the hunters. That's good.
Valen looks to Jim.  "Should we just...take him home?"
Jim gives a really nervous laugh. "I mean, not much else we can do, right?"  That seems fair.  Kane held him captive, so it’s not like Jim is doing anything worse to him than Kane had done to Jim if he just keeps him locked up at home.
Jim opens the door to the backseat. "Time to go home, I guess."
Valen helps Kane to sit into the backseat, and then buckles his seatbelt.  "All right," he says calmly.  "Just sit back here and sit still, all right?"
"Yes, sir." Kane says tearily.  It occurs to Kane that Valen is fed. Maybe he'd be willing to give him some blood. He'd do anything for blood. Though he's not too optimistic about his prospects. He'll avoid asking until he's alone with Valen: asking in front of Jim would definitely be bad.
Valen goes up to sit in the passenger's seat, looking back over his shoulder at Kane.  He's situated Kane behind himself and not Jim, so that it's harder to reach Jim.  Then he turns to Jim.  "How are you feeling?  Are you doing okay so far?"
"Nope." Jim says calmly, fingers tapping on the steering wheel before he starts to drive out. "I am not. But I'm definitely not doing the worst in this car, so, y'know. Thank you for being here. I'm glad you convinced me."
"If you want me to drive, we can switch down the line."  Valen rubs Jim's hand, keeping his hand over the one Jim has on the gearshift.  He leans over and puts a light kiss on Jim's cheek.  "Everything will be all right."
"Oh, definitely don't want that." Valen's driving skills haven’t improved even a little over the years, and Jim wants Valen undistracted and free if Kane were to try to hurt him or escape. "Thanks."
Kane's eyebrows raise at the kiss. Are Valen and Jim... together? A vampire and a human? That's... extremely strange.
But humans are people. He knows that now. So it shouldn't be that strange, right?
More importantly, it makes Valen less likely to help him. Valen likely knows everything about how horrible he was to Jim. He feels his hope crumbling. Still, things do seem better than with the hunters already.
Valen turns back towards Kane.  "What about you?  What's your biggest concern right now?"
"I'm scared." Kane says softly. "I just- just- I just want it to stop. Everything hurts. W-what's going to happen to me?"
Valen reaches back and puts a hand on Kane's knee.  "All right.  That's okay.  We're also trying to figure this out, but Jim is very kind and doesn't like seeing others in pain.  What are you afraid that we'll do?  What did the hunters do to you that you want us not to do?  Tell us the worst things, so we can tell you what we think of them."
Kane really really really doesn't want to do this. He doesn't want to give them ideas. But they're already in contact with the hunters: if he refuses, they can just ask the hunters anyway and then he's been disobedient. His crying picks up.
Jim grimaces. "Vale, maybe that's a little hard for him to-"
"The, the sun,” Kane answers. “Leaving m-me out in the sun all day, or, or more than a day. Silver you already s-saw, locked on, can't get it off. Silver inside me, knives, or left under my skin. Cutting me open. Skinning me. Not letting me breathe for days and days." Kane takes a shuddering breath. "Those were some of the worst, sir."
"Holy shit." Jim whispers.
Valen shudders and starts crying.  "I can't--I can't imagine how painful being left out in the sun all day would be.  I've been burned for just a few seconds and it was the most painful thing I've ever experienced."  He sniffles.  "Kane, we're not going to do anything like that to you."  He squeezes Kane's knee.  "We came here because Jim wanted to feel safe, and knowing you were still out there made him feel unsafe.  We were planning to kill you originally.  We're not going to do anything worse to you than that."
Jim nods affirmatively. "Yeah. No one deserves that shit." Not even you. "We're not gonna hurt you. 'S gonna be okay."
Kane is bewildered. They're actually being nice to him. Despite everything he did. Every hit, every kick, every bite, every choke, every cruel word. Five years of holding Jim captive and hurting him over and over and over, and what he gets in return is mercy.
He buckles over, resting his forehead on Valen's hand where it sits on his knee. "Thank you. Thank you thank you thank you. I'll earn it, I will."
"It's not right to torture anyone, no matter what they've done.  That's not a right you have to earn.  Neither of us would allow anything like that to happen to anyone we were in charge of."  Valen gives him a final pat, then withdraws his hand to put it back on Jim.  "But you're perfectly behaved so far.  Just be polite, and you'll be fine, all right?"
"Yes, sir." Kane agrees, beyond grateful. He can do that. He can be polite. As long as he's polite, he won't be hurt.
"You don't need to do the 'sir' racket, though." Jim clarifies. It's already starting to make him uncomfortable. He's been hurt too many times for not using the title.
"O-oh. Yes. I'm sorry." Kane wants to kick himself.
They get home hours later, and Jim has Kane sit on the couch and immediately drags Valen up to their bedroom to talk.
"Could you take care of him? I'm sorry to put this on you, but, I just..." Every time I look at his face it makes me think of the worst experiences of my life. "I'll blow up the air mattress and give Liz a call. She's gonna wanna know how it went anyway."
"Of course.  Yes, I'll take care of him.  How do you want me to, um... Treat him? Should I feed him and offer him comforts?  I know you don't want him to--suffer, but...I know he still hurt you quite a lot, and it might make you feel...complicated emotions if I do certain things."
"I trust your judgment. And he could definitely use some comforts. After all that shit he was saying..." Jim shakes his head, horrified. "I'm gonna need to ask Liz to make a room... escape-proof. Prolly the basement. Is that okay?"
Valen nods.  "Yes, that's fine with me.  Just warn me where the silver is, as I imagine that will be involved.  I do doubt Liz will be pleased about the possibility of...keeping him here long enough that we need a room he can't escape from, though.  But I'm not sure what our alternatives could be, if you don't want to kill him after all."
"I don't know. I don't know. Holy shit, I don't know if I can live with him in our house." The house that's supposed to be safe. "But I guess just, one day at a time, right?"
"I'll be here the whole time, Jim.  If at any point you say he has to go, then he goes.  Got it?  I will keep you safe no matter what I have to do to make it happen."  Valen gives him a hug.
Jim hugs back. Valen is safety. Of course it'll be okay. Even if Kane is the exact opposite.
Valen leaves Jim to the safety of upstairs and goes down.  Kane waits patiently on the couch. He hasn't been on something so soft in a long time. It's a strange sensation. He looks up when Valen comes back into the room: the two of them are alone together, now.
"Um, s- Valen? Has it been... decided, then? What's going to happen?" He's very anxious to hear his fate.
"I'm sorry, but we're still not quite sure."  He leans on the couch with forced casualness.  "We're going to secure the basement for you to stay in for a while, though, and Jim told me to take care of you.  What do you want first?  Food, clothes, a bath?"
Kane feels like he's just been smacked in the face, in a good way. These offers are all incredible, but one stands above the rest. "Food?" he asks, eyes shining with hope. "Please, please, food? Please, I'm s-so hungry, it's been years, please, food."
"All right."  Valen goes into the kitchen and comes back out with two blood packs.  He holds them up in front of Kane.  "Now to be absolutely clear, I am giving these to you with the expectation that you will not use whatever strength you get back to hurt or scare Jim, understand?  It'd be immoral for me not to feed someone in my care, but Jim's safety is my foremost concern.  Understand?"
Kane's eyes are wide and desperate as he watches Valen dangle the precious blood. He gets two. "Yes, yes yes yes I promise, I swear I'll be good, I'll do anything, p-please let me have them! I don't want to hurt Jim, I wouldn't, please!"
Valen feels doubtful.  Kane is desperate and helpless, and of course is going to agree with whatever Valen says.  It's entirely another matter how he'll behave once he's got some modicum of power back.  Valen will have to keep a very close eye on him, for any signs of the horrible behavior that had so traumatized Jim.
But for now, it'd be wrong to keep a starving man from food.  He hands him both blood packs.  "Go ahead, then."
Kane devours the blood packs one after the other, ravenously, like a feral animal, with tears of relief streaming down his face. He tears open the plastic, licking every last remnant of blood from the inside, peering and sniffing to check if there's anything left even after it's all gone.
When he's done, he bows his head submissively to Valen. "Thank you. Thank you so, so much. I'll be polite, like you said. I'll be good. Thank you for allowing me food. You- you're very kind."
"You're welcome."  He threads a hand through Kane's hair gently.  "Was that enough?"
Kane leans into the gentle touch, having been starved of it even longer than the blood. "W-would I be allowed to have more?" he asks quietly. He's afraid of seeming greedy. "If- only if it's okay. You've already been more than generous."
"Of course you can have more. Will it upset your stomach? How much more do you think you'll drink today?"
"Um, um, as much as you're willing to spare?" Kane can't believe it. He's being offered as much as he wants. "S-six? I'm sorry, I don't mean to be greedy. As much as you'll spare. I'm very grateful."
Valen raises his eyebrow. Well... what had he been expecting from a vampire who hasn't eaten in five years? "I'll go see how much we have."
He goes into the kitchen and comes back out with two more blood packs as well as an opaque plastic box, which is dripping with condensation. He sets them on the table. "So.... unfortunately I only have two more blood packs right now, but I do have some blood that I stored in the freezer for a while as a backup just in case I ran out. It should be good to eat, but unfortunately it's still frozen. You can let it thaw, or just lick it, I suppose." He shrugs. "I'll make arrangements to get more tomorrow night."
Kane consumes the two blood packs in the same manner as the first, then looks to the box.  "Could I have the frozen blood too, please?" Kane asks hopefully. He needs as much blood as he can get his hands on, for all time, forever. "Thank you."
When Valen gives it to him, he starts just biting into it and eating it solid. It takes him a bit to figure out chewing.  He's never chewed food before, but he gets the hang of it quick enough.
Valen has never thought about chewing his food either, and watches Kane with a certain amount of fascination.  He makes a mental note to try it in the future.  "There. I bet that feels better. Like I said, I'll make arrangements to go get more when I can. How about next you bathe and I'll get you some fresh clothes?"
"It dosh." Kane says through his last mouthful of blood chunks, before swallowing. "It does feel better. I haven't felt this good in so long. I forgot what it feels like to not be hungry. I, I would love that. Thank you." He's excited for both, but especially about the clothes. "Thank you for allowing me clothes."
Valen's heart breaks a little, despite how horrid he's always found Kane. "Kane, of course we're going to allow you clothes. You didn't force Jim to be naked. The way those hunters treated you is shocking, morally repugnant, and isn't acceptable to do to anyone. I'm still in awe that anyone could be so cruel." He holds a hand out to help Kane. "Now come on, let's get you upstairs."
He helps Kane up the stairs and shows him to the bathroom. After a few minutes when he can hear Kane is just sitting in the tub, he goes and picks out some clothes that will hopefully fit Kane, keeping his ears alert for any sounds that indicate Kane is doing something he's not supposed to be doing.
He then grabs a towel and cracks the bathroom door, setting the pile of clothes and towel on the sink without sticking his head in. "These are for when you're done. Take your time. I'm right outside." He shuts the door again
Kane thanks him from inside the bath.
Jim slinks up to Valen now that Kane is safely behind a closed, guarded door. He knows he'll have to get used to being around Kane again, but it's hard. "Set up the air mattress in the basement. Liz is gettin' stuff ready, but says she probably won't have stuff prepared until tomorrow. But he's weak enough that something heavy in front of the door should be able to hold him for one night, right? Um, how's it going so far?"
"I believe so. It's going perfectly fine. He's nothing but polite and grateful, and he's assured me he doesn't want to hurt you. Although I'm wary of how genuine this is, so I'm keeping an eye on him." Valen wraps Jim in a hug. "Are you hanging in there?"
Kane eavesdrops through the door intently as the water reddens with blood and grime, relieved he's being described as polite, the thing he needs to be in order to be safe, but his heart sinking at the doubt of his genuinity. He doesn't know how to prove it, that the desperate mess he's become is all that's left of him and everything else was destroyed years ago.
Jim feels a lot better being held by Valen, resting his head against Valen's shoulder. "Yeah, I am. I'm not the one who's... doing bad." He sighs. "I'll stop hiding away tomorrow. 'Cause it'll be day and he can't take me away, and Liz's gonna bring restraints that won't burn him." His voice gets smaller. "If he took me away, you'd come for me, right?"
"Of course, Jim. As long as I'm out there, you won't be trapped without hope of escape ever again. I'd never stop looking for you." Valen gives him a squeeze, then releases him. "Kane seems to be doing a lot better already. You needn't feel guilty about it or anything. I've never seen a man so grateful to be fed. He ate old, frozen blood like it was a delicacy. He does not act entitled anymore. I think you should be perfectly safe, my dear. But I'm sure you'll feel a lot better once Liz is here, too. Is her hunting partner also coming?"
Kane freezes at the mention. Hunting partner. This Liz person who's coming over is a hunter. Jim said she's bringing restraints that won't burn, which conflicts with what he knows about hunters, but a hunter who's close with Jim, his victim, will not treat him kindly. That he's sure of. He wonders if Valen will protect him- they're both vampires, and Valen has been unbelievably kind so far, but Valen seems to be aligned with the humans now, and Kane has not been kind to Valen in the past.
"I dunno. Guess we'll have to see." Jim says with a shrug. "I'm gonna head to bed. Join me when you're ready?" He really wants to spend the night in Valen's arms.
"Will do, my dear. I doubt Kane will try anything, but I'll secure him in the basement, and I'll be with you the whole time, don't forget." He gives him another kiss on the cheek. "See you soon. I love you."
"I love you too." Jim smiles for the first time tonight and heads back to the room.
Kane comes out a little later, fully dressed. He still holds the damp towel in his arms, hoping he'll be allowed to keep it to use as a blanket of sorts. The fact that he's getting a mattress is more than generous, though.
"All d-done." he says quietly. "Um, Valen, will, will you be there when the hunter is here?"
Valen smiles kindly.  "Yes, I'll be there.  I'm sure she'll be none too pleased with you, but Jim and I won't let her hurt you.  She is just coming to make Jim feel safer."
He takes the towel from Kane and hangs it up on the bathroom door next to his and Jim's.  "Now, let's go downstairs for something for a few minutes, all right?  It won't hurt or anything, I just want to see something."
Kane is disappointed for the towel to be taken, but he's clothed, so it's okay. It's more important that Valen will protect him from the displeased hunter. The promise feels fragile, but it's all he has.  He follows Valen.
He takes Kane to a corner where there’s some minimal exercise equipment.  He lines up the dumbbells in order from smallest to heaviest.  "All right, now please lift these one by one until you get to one that's too heavy for you.  I want to see how strong you are.  Try as hard as you can, but don't hurt yourself."  He has a nagging worry that maybe Kane will lie about how strong he is and pretend to be weaker than he really is, so that Valen will underprepare so he can break out later.  But that train of thought seems very complicated and heavy for Kane to manage at the moment, and it seems cruel to ask him to do something this strange without telling him why.
Kane stares wide-eyed at the equipment, trying to figure out what it's for. He can't help but remember the time the hunters encased his hands and feet in cement and had him try to crawl inside before the sun rose. He couldn't do it.
"I- I- yes." He nervously lifts dumbbells, struggling significantly once he gets to the 20-pound one. He's sure he couldn't have even gotten this far without the earlier meal. "I don't think I can do more than this. Can, can I ask why?"
"Jim will feel safer if you can't break down the door, so I just needed to see how strong you are to make sure I secure it properly.  It's nothing to be worried about, thank you for cooperating.  He suddenly notices the tender, burnt strips of flesh peeking out from under Kane’s new clothing.  “Oh!  I can’t believe I forgot.”  He’d been so caught up in trying to think of how to make Jim feel safe.
He leaves and comes back with bandages and has Kane roll up his shirt sleeves so he can wrap his torn up wrists.  Valen has no great love for Kane, but he does have a great love for doting on people who need help and can't help themselves.
Kane watches in awe as Valen dresses his injuries. "Thank you for being kind to me. No one's ever- thank you. I'm sorry I yelled at you, back then. I'm sorry I was so cruel to Jim. I'll never do it again. I don't know how to prove it."
"Thank you for apologizing."  Valen pats his hand.  "It does seem like you've changed.  I know what it's like to not be given a chance.  Now, let's go downstairs."
Valen shows Kane down into the basement where the air mattress has been set up, helping him down the stairs.  "Is there anything else you'd like before I lock the door for the night?  More blankets?"
Oh. Oh, he gets a blanket. There's already one on the air mattress, and a pillow too. Jim gave him these.
"I can have more?" Kane asks, incredulous. It almost seems like too much to even be given one.
Valen smiles sadly.  "Goodness.  All right, stay there."  He goes upstairs and comes back down with an armful of folded blankets, setting them on the bed.  "There, it can get quite cold down here.  Anything else?"
"No, this is, this is more than enough. Thank you so much, for everything. I won't make you regret it." Kane promises. If he could just... keep living like this, that would be incredible, even if he's captive. "Thank you for giving me a chance."
"You're welcome.  All right, try to get some rest."  He goes up and locks the door, then moves a bookshelf in front of it.  It's far too heavy for Kane to move by himself, but Valen just wants to be sure.  He'd never forgive himself if, somehow, implausibly, Kane broke down the door, came upstairs, and attacked Jim while they slept.
Valen comes upstairs into the bedroom, shutting the door and jamming a chair underneath of the doorknob, so that the door physically can't be opened.  "How about this, Jim?  Maybe this will make you feel safer, knowing that even if he somehow got out of the basement, he couldn't get into the bedroom.'
"Yeah. It does." Jim agrees, reaching out from where he lies in bed and making grabby hands with a little smile. "But not as much as you being here."
Valen smiles and undresses himself, putting his pajamas on quickly before sliding into Jim's arms like a puzzle piece, head in his chest.  "I do hope you'll be able to sleep tonight.  I'm reasonably sure this is quite safe, all things considered.  Although it will be an uphill battle to convince Liz of that, I'm sure."
Jim snuggles into him. "She said that given how I described him, it sounded fine for now. Pretty sure she'd have come over and whisked me away otherwise. He's... he's going to heal fast, though, isn't he. But then we'll have restraints." He yawns.
"I'm not sure how fast, exactly, but it'd be wrong not to feed him, and that means he'll start getting his strength and healing back, yes."  He plants a kiss on Jim's forehead.  "If at any point that gets too much for you to handle, you just say so and we'll figure out something that doesn't require being cruel like those hunters, all right?  Kane deserves a break even after everything he's done, but you also deserve to feel safe in your own home.  I won't let you neglect your own needs just because someone else is also in need.  Got it?"
"Got it." he agrees. "But as long as we're keeping him here, gotta, gotta treat him right. I won't be like him." Jim falls asleep soon after, feeling much better with Valen here.
